Okay...I knew a few people who took anti-depressants and they abused them....they work both in a sorta-posative way and in a not-so-posative way...whaddya think on 'em?
Well...I took anti-depressants and they didn't work. In fact they made me worse...I gained alot of weight and even became suicidal after that.
So I don't think they're any good at all, well, except Prozac because it is the only one that was approved by the FDA, and has the least side affects.

My friend had to be put on anti-depressant drugs, and she said they made her feel like a zombie. Of course, it all depends on your body, different medications react differntly with differnt people. What works good for one person, well, may not work for the next. I also know, that once her prescription was changed, she felt a positive change.

I think antidepressants are good if they work. A lot of it has to do with the person's accepting the possibility of them working.
I have been on a lot of meds [anti-depressiants, anti-psycotics, and ones for bipolar]. Its like any other perscribed drug-abusing them is bad, but if used properly, they will work. But only if it is the right perscritption. I had to be put on three different meds before they found ones that worked. The first made me worse, more suicidal. The second was like a narcotic, and the third did absoloutly nothing.

Thats exactly what I was saying. You just have to find the right medication that works for you, just like my friend. I believe she went through three or four different brands before settling on one that actuelly made her better.

Anti-depressants are sort of good and sort of not. I've found that having a strong support system worked for me, but I don't have bipolar or severe depression, I have spells, but because of my friends I don't need the anti-depressants. I think whatever works for someone is good if they don't over use it, medication is to be taken as instructed or severe side affects could happen. I mean taking too many anti-depressants is like taking Tums when you have cramps, it just won't help.
