You can't live with him... {Naruto roleplay}

Blood easily brushed past Nekura and into the house. Sakura followed in, smiling widely ay Nekura as she went. Naruto hugged Nekura. "I told you I'd be okay! And Val's comign with us, and Blood's going to help us!"

Nekura looked shocked, hugged Naruto back and said, "Really?" Val nodded rappidly. "That's wonderfull." She didn't bother asking why Blood wasn't coming allong. She figured she allready knew.

Blood silently sat at a table, searching her pouch for paper and a quil. "At least try to stay out of trouble." She muttered, slittign her wrist. "And Val, you have to leave your old habits. No more bloody raman. Nekura. Don't over do it. Where you're going, people don't have as much power as you. Fire whips have to go. You have a very large chance of killing someone."

Val sighed, "That meens no more jutsu!" He declared. Nekura nodded, "That's what they're intended for." She said. "But, I don't use them very often anyway, only when I'm sparring you, or my life's in danger."

"Even so, you have to becareful." Blood muttered, not once looking away from the parchment. These were the second people she was letting go today. You're alone again, Blood. All alone. "And don't hurt any of the little kids. They run around like chickens with their heads cut off." She muttered, signing her name at the bottom of the paper boefre givign the quil to Val. "You blood, sign."

He nodded, following her insturctions. "Blood... please, come with us." Nekura said, in a quiet, pleading tone. They had been together so long, Blood had become her best friend, the calm to her jumpy, the Sasuke to her Naruto. ((Couldn't help with the sappy comparison, expecially the Sasuke Naruto one :D))

"No." Blood shook her head slightly. "I can't. I can't live in the leaf village, Nekura. You think I have problems now, what do you think will happen when I have to live with moorans like these two." She muttered, pointing to Naruto and Sakura. "I have to wait here, anyhow. He promised me."

"I understand but... who promised you? Promised what?" Asked Nekura, confused. She for the moment, had forgotten her own sorrow at the knowlege that she would be leaving her best friend behind.

Blood shook her head again. "No one. Nothing." She muttered, handing Nekura the quil. "Your own blood, sign."

Nekura nodded, "You're sure you won't come?" She asked. She wanted to stay here, in that moment, with Blood, but, well, she really liked Naruto in a way she'd never liked anyone. She didn't want to give up either, but, she relized she could not have her cake and eat it too.

"I'm sure." Blood muttered, motioning Naruto forward. "You're not going to hurt me, right?" He muttered, sly moving forward. "Not much." She muttered in return, using her tumb and some blood from her wrist to make a sign on his forehead. "What's this?" He muttered, looking up to his forhead. "My seal." Blood answered simply, smacking Naruto's forehead into the parchment.

Nekura couldn't help but giggle, the sight WAS funny. Val laughed outright. Kakashi, remained silent, laughing on the inside.

Naruto and Blood were the only one's who didn't think it was funny. Naruto angerily held his head, but didn't say anything. He didn't want to get in more trouble. "Alright. Nekura, take whatever's important to you, everything else is going to be moved. And give me your headband, you too Val."

Nekura pulled hers from her pocket, where she kept it, she never wore it, it was in pristine condition. Val's was more care worn, it was usually worn around his arm. They both handed them over.

Blood seemed to frown slightly. That was it. They were gone. She took their headbands and handed over the scroll. "If any ninja stop you, just show them that." She muttered, now carefully to keep her words short and snappy.

"Blood..." Nekura trailed off. She sighed and looked at the table, how could she say goodbye to her? Val smiled a bit, "Goodbye, Blood." He said, looking happy to be leaving. Nekura continued staring down at the table, "I'll miss you." She said it so quiety, it was undoubtable that noone had heard her.

Blood simply nodded. She probably wasn't going to see her again. "I'll miss you, too, Nekura Tenma." She muttered back, almost as quietly. "Alot."

Nekura scrubbed a hand across her eyes. She tried not to let herself cry, but it wasn't working. "Goodbye." She said, tearfully. "Goodbye, Blood-sama." She had reverted back to the old adress she had had for her.

"Good bye." Blood muttered in responce. She didn't cry. Not infront of other people, but with every leaving person, it was getting harder and harder to do. "Good bye."

"Good bye." Val repeated. Nekura looked away. "We... we should go." She said.

"That would be best." Blood muttered, rising to her feet. She swallowed the lump in her throat. "And remember you can't come back. Don't come back. You'll be hurt." She muttered. Naruto stood followed after Nekura. He put an arm around her, trying to calm her. Sakura bounced after Val.

Silent tears slid down Nekura's face, she was unable to stop them now. She couldn't bare to look back towords Blood, she knew she wouldn't leave if she did. Val walked slowly towords the door, he did look back, a soft look of uncertanty on his face.

Blood gave him a very dull smile. "Good luck. . . friends."

"You too." Val said. "Yes, take care." Nekura said quietly.

Blood silently closed the door, heading off in the direction of her home.

Naruto despartly tried to comfort Nekura. "It'll be alright. Really it will be."

"I know. I know." She said, tears sliding down her face. "I know."

Naruto frowned slightly. He felt bad now, that he was takign her from her home, but she'd be happy in the village too. Hopefully.

A small smile was on her face, despite her tears. She was doing this because she wanted to, it was her choice. And, despite what she was leaving behind, she hoped to be happy where she was going...

Naruto smiled lightly, seeing her smile and squeezed her a little. "See. It's not all bad." He muttered.

"I know. It's just, I've lived here all my life, it seems odd to think that I'm leaving, and I'll never be coming back." She said.

"I know." Naruto smiled lightly. "You'll make alot of other friends. I promise."

She shook her head, smiling a bit. "That's not what I'm worried about."

"She'll be okay." Naruto muttered, automatcially thinking that she ment Blood. "I hope."

She nodded, though she wasn't sure. "Let's... not talk about it." She said.

Naruto nodded slightly. "Alright."

"Is it a long way?" Nekura asked, thinking that it could perhaps be several days walk, though she wasn't sure.

Naruto looekd toward Kakashi for a moment. "Maybe a day or two at tops." He murmured, looking back to Nekura.

She nodded. " I see." ((Time skip? I have no idea to when, that's up to you.))

Naruto let out a sigh of relief. Home. It was bright and the streets were crowded with people of the weekend shopping. Children dashed around freely and no wore masks, except the anbu that sat on the village's wall.

Nekura looked around, awe clear on her face. This place was like nowhere she'd ever seen before. People laughed, and shouted, out on the streets, in plain sight. And the tempature, it was so warm. She shed the cloak she had been wearing, draping it over her arm. "It's... amazing." She said.

Naruto smiled widely. "This is nothing!" He smiled, taking her wrist and dragging her off toward his home. "Come on!" He yelled happily.

Sakura chuckled slightly, grabbing onto Val. "Come on! I want to show you around." She smiled at him, leaving Kakashi.

She laughed, following, fealing that a weight was lifted from her shoulders, the weight of the Blood Village.

Val followed, looking about. "It's nice." He said.

Naruto looked around for a moment, trying to remember where he put his key. Quickly, he dug through the plant and pulled out the key. "Ha." And pulled Nekura into the home. His home was probably twice as messy as Nekura's had been.

Sakura smiled. "I knew you'd like it."

She laughed, "It's worse than my place!" She declared happily.

"I haven't been here for a month or two." Naruto chuckled, defensivily.

Sakura looked around, she shoudl go see her parents first. "This way!"

She shook her head, "This is the kind of home that wasn't clean to begin with." She was obviously happy with the mess though.

"Allright allright, what choice do I have!" Declared Val, laughingly.

"Alright. Fine. I haven't clean in a logn time." Naruto chuckled slightly, looking around for the extra blankets.

Sakura laughed a little herself, slipping into her home. "Mother! Father! I'm home!"

Nekura laughed. "This is just the kind of place I expected you to live." She announced.

Val wondered what her parents would be like. Surly they would be surprised to see her, after so long. ((Which of us should play the parents?))

"Hey," Naruto muttered. Feeling slightly offended.

If suprised means 'sufficating her with hugs.' "You're back! I thought you were dead!"

Val stood, awkwardly off to the side, watching.

"Oh." Naruto chuckled slightly. "I knew that."

Sakura gasped for breath after a few moments before her mother finally let her go. "And is this one of those Blood Ninja?" The woman's eyes (Who's name I do not know) narrowed at Val.

She smiled. "Don't you have people you've got to inform you've returned?" She asked. "You've been away from here so long, I immagine that you'll have been declared dead." She said.

VAl nodded, "Yes ma'am." He said.

Naruto frowned slightly, thinking of someone. "Oh! I'll go tell Jiracy!" Naruto smiled widely. Kakashi had probably already spoken to Tsuande. Besides, she was scary.

Sakura nodded as well. "Yeah. He came with us. He let me stay with him when I was in the Blood Village." Hopefully her mother wouldn't ask where he stayed. That might lead to some problems. Mrs. Hanuro looked down to Val with an observing look. Then smiled. "Welcome, then."

((Who?)) Nekura nodded, "Allright." She said. "Lead the way!" She added.

Val returned her smiled, a bit weakly, never having been very comfortable around adults. "Thank you." He said. He fealt a bit as if he was intruding on what should have been a happy reunion between Sakura and her parents.

Naruto smiled, snatching up his key and heading out the door. He really didn't bother with locking the door. Even if someone did find something worth stealing, it's probably be covered with something sticky.

Sakura had dissappeared. Probably up stairs to her room. Mrs. Hanuro smiled toward Val. "Are you hungry, dear? You must be starving."

Nekura looked at him oddly, "You're not going to lock the door?" She asked, wondering if this village really WAS that different, or if Naruto was just being scatterbrained.

"Um, Yes ma'am, I am." He said, uncomfortable to have been left alone with the woman.

"Nope. Not like anyone would want to steal from me. Besides, we don't have many theives here." Naruto smiled back at her, then stopped. "Now. Where woudl he be."

Mrs. Hanuro smield brightly, dissappearign into the kitchen.

She smiled, "Wow, this place really is so different..." She said. "And, I don't know. Who are we looking for?"

Val didn't know what to do, so he followed her apprehensivly.

"The Pervy Sage!" Naruto exclaimed, smiling happily.

"What do you like?" Mrs. Hanuro looekd back at him. She'd started gettign things out the fridge before she relaized she didn't know what he ate.

"I see..." She said, wondering what self respecting person would allow themselves to be called such a thing.

"Um... I don't really have any preference, ma'am. We've been traveling a while, so, anything that isn't freez dried would taste deliciouse right now." Val replied.

Naruto stopped, taking a few steps back. He was in a bar again. Naruto groaned slightly, poking his head in. Jiraiya jumped slightly. "Naruto. You're not dead." He seemed slightly sad and Naruto glared at him. "I mean; You're not dead!"

Mrs. Hanuro went to cooking almost immdeaitly. She liked this boy already.

Nekura giggled behind her hand, though she was a bit offended on Naruto's behalf.

VAl smiled a bit, not wanting to sit down, being very proper and not having been invited to do so. However he was sore and tired from travling here, not because the trip had been long, merely because it had not included much rest, and had been an odd and stressfull trip for both of the bloodvillagers who had been on it. He had known Nekura had been more upset about it than he, though.

"That is Jiraiya." Naruto muttered, watching the white haird, old man walk out the small bar. "This is Nekura." Naruto muttered, eyeing Jiraiya carefully.

Mrs. Hanuro moved around the kitchen easily. It took her a few moments to realize Val was still standing. "Go on and sit down." She smiled, but gave him an odd look.

Nekura smiled at him, and nodded a greating.

Jiraiya looked down at her and smiled at her. Before he coudl say anything embarrasing, Naruto explained. "He was my Sensei for a while! He taught me the summoning Jutsu!" Thou it is yet to work every time.

Mrs. Hanuro nodded slightly, going back to the stove top. Sakura happily bound down the stairs, looking refreased.

Nekura smiled, "I see. The master behind THAT madness." She laughed, remembering when she had tried to help him with that jutsu. She didn't even know how to summon toads, so that had not gone well.

Val smiled at her, merely reminded that it had been a while since he himself had last showered, he wondered if he smelled really awefull. "You look happy." He said to Sakura.

Jiraiya glared at her. "And what's that suppose to mean?!"

Sakura nodde dslightly, smiling at him. "It's good to be home. There's a shower up stairs if you want."

"Never mind." Nekura said. "It was just... somthing that happened a while ago." She explained. She had heard about Jiriya, one of this villages Sanin.

Jiraiya made a 'huff'ing sound as he looked back to Naruto. "You don't seem any stronger than before." He stated absently. Naruto heated up, then pointed his finger at Jiraiya. "What do you know, Pervy Sage!?"

Sakura nodded slightly. "You're welcome."
"And hurry. I have food for you." Mrs. Hanuro added, going back to the stove.

"Naruto," Nekura said slowly, "Acting like this is hardly a good way of proving you've matured since you left here, is it?" She fineshed.

"Thank you very much Mrs..." He trailed off, she hadn't introduced herself, nor had he introduced himself as far as he could remember.

Naruto glared at him, but stopped. "Sorry." He murmured. Jiraiya seemed to smirk. "I see." He muttered out of the blue.

"Hanuro." she answered simply.

"See what?" Asked Nekura, raising an eyebrow curiosly.

"Right, Mrs. Haruno." He said. "My name is Valentine, by the way." He said, politly, before heading towords the stairs. A shower sounded VERY nice right about now.

Jiraiya blinked, looking back toward him. "Nothing, nothing." He muttered, almost defencivily. Naruto muttered to himself. then lit up. "Come on, Nekura! I want to intrudouce you to Iruka!"

Mrs. Hanruto nodded slightly, lettign him know she heard. Sakura silently sat at the table.

Nekura stared curiosly at Jiriya for a minute, but smiled, "Ok." She said, happy to be taken anywhere he wanted to go, seeing as this village was so nice, and the weather such an improvment from home.

Val was upstairs, searching for the bathroom.

Naruto darted down toward the acadamy. The closer they got, the more kids they ran into. "Class must have just ended." He muttered.

Nekura looked around, wow, Blood had been right, the children did wander very freely around here. She'd never had much exposure to young children, any parent with half a brain in the blood village wouldn't let their children wander outside. That, was obviouse.

Naruto tried his beast to manuvor between all the children. "Almost there." He smiled back to Nekura, then tripped and fell.

"Naruto, you okay?" She asked, offering him a hand to help him up. Little children ran around them in waves, she fealt as if she was walking through a really weird ocean.

Naruto quickly scramble dto his feet. "Yeah. Thanks." He muttered, arching his back to rid himself of the pain. "I just need to be more careful."

[SiriuslyRemus]

She shook her head, "Wasn't really your fault, trying to avoid all of these kids, sheesh." She said. "But, come on, I want to get out of this crowd."

[TailsNyne]

Naruto nodded in agreement. "Alright! Come on!" He shouted excitedly, takign her hand and leading hre through the rest of the crowd.

Nekura was relieved when they reached the school, the crowd had thinned the closer they got to it. Finnaly they weren'r wading through little children anymore.

Naruto smiled broadly, dragging her into the acadamy. "I hope he's still here." He muttered, looking up to the numbers as they past rooms.

Nekura followed, wondering who she was going to meet this time.

"In here!" Naruto yelled, happiyl as he dragged her into one of the rooms.

Iruka was sitting at his desk, grading papers. He looked towords them, nodded, and looked away. Suddenly his head snapped up, "Naruto! You're alive! WHERE THE H*LL HAVE YOU BEEN?" He yelled. Nekura stared at him as if he'd just grown wings and announced he wanted to jump from the roof, why on earth was he yelling like that?

"In the Blood Village!" Naruto replied, almost as loud, but happy. He calmed down a bit before introducing Nekura. "Iruka-Sensei, this is Nekura. She was a Blood Ninja." He smiled toward her, then toward Iruka. "Neku-chan, this is Iruka-Sensei. My acadamy teacher."

"Oh." Iruka said, he smiled at Nekura, "Well, it's very nice to meet you, Nekura." He said. He have Naruto one of those knowing parent looks as he shook Nekura's hand. "Nice to been you as well." She said.

This was a much better idea. Iruka actually cared. Naruto ignored the look from Iruka, looking back to Nekura.

Nekura was smiling, happy to be introduced to somone who obviously cared more for Naruto, in her mind, then perhaps Jiriya had. Allthough, she figured he must have cared some, even if he hadn't shown if, and she herself had not exactly seen many acts of genuine obviouse caring in her life. "Well, Naruto, what kept you away so long? You were gone much longer than you should have been." Iruka asked.

"Well. We had to find enough about the Blood Village to know if they were going to be a threat or not." Naruto muttered, then looked down to his feet. "And, well, I sorta, got attracted to Nekura, and, well, wanted her to come back with me."

[SiriuslyRemus]

Nekura blushed, though she was very pleased that Naruto was willing to admit to liking her, and was not ashamed of the fact, it made her happy. Iruka stared, "Aha, I see." He said, the knowing look returning to his eye. "And, are they a threat." HAd the question been directed a Nekura, she knew what her answer would have been, Only if you make them angry. The blood village, was dangerouse, she knew that much, but generally, they kept to themselves as far as she knew.

"Some of them are." Naruto muttered, remebering the woman that had attacked him and Nekura for no apparent reason. "But others don't even notice you unless you annoy them. And they don't like their stuff touched. Or beign challanged. Or anything else. And don't let them have anything sharp." He muttered, also remebering Blood. "Other than that, no."

[SiriuslyRemus]

"Right..." Said Iruka, sounded dangerouse to him. "Well,l you couldn't have written or somting, to let people know you were okay?" He damanded. "Letters sent out of the blood village rarely reach their destination, even if he had sent one." Nekura said, absently.

Naruto shrugged slightly. "I never really thought of it. I was a bit bussy trying to keep myself 'okay'." He muttered, scratching the side of his face with his index finger.

[SiriuslyRemus]

"What do you meen, keep yourself, okay?" Asked Iruka, apperently confused. Nekura thought that it must be hard, grasping the concept of just what the blood village is like, especially not really having heard it described, for somone living in such a nice place as this.

"Staying alive, keeping away from the people living there, staying out the way of fights, ect." Naruto looked back up to Iruka.

[SiriuslyRemus]

"Naruto Uzamaki, avoiding fights? I'm shocked. That place must have been REALLY bad." Said Iruka. "Come on, I'll take you two out for ramen." He offered. ((Sorry, if I'm a bad IRuka, I dont' honestly watch NAruto that often, and I can't really afford the manga unless I've recently had a birthday, so I'm not 100% sure what he really ats like.))

"You're telling me." Naruto muttered, then chuckled slightly. "RAMAN!" He pratically tackled Iruka.

Nekura laughed, "You really want to treat him to ramen, have you any idea what you're getting yourself into?" She asked, jokingly. Iruka nodded, "It's a special occasion!" He announced.

"Yeah!" With that, Naruto turned for the door. "Come on!"

Nekura trotted happily after him, Iruka bringing up the rear.

Naruto was in a bit of a hurry. He had to becarefull in the Blood Village, especailly after seeing Val's. He only ate the raman Nekura gave him.

Nekura smiled, keeping up easily. Iruka kept up as well, he WAS a chunin after all. However, it seemed a bit more difficult than usual, had Naruto gotten faster since he had left the leaf village? Perhaps it was his own immagination.

Naruto smiled brightly as they came upon the raman shop and he quickly dissappeared inside. Almost at once he sat at the bar, then motioned Nekura to sit next to him.

Nekura did so. Iruka sitting down on Naruto's other side.

Naruto smiled, looking toward the man behind the counter.

"Welcome to Ichiruka, how may I be of service? Ah, my number one costumer, Pork and Misu?" He quipped, notticing NAruto.

Naruto nodded rapidly. "Yeah, yeah, yeah."

"Allright, what about you, Irkua-sensei?" Asked the man. "Nothing for me, thanks." He could allreaday picture his bill without he himself eating, knowing Naruto, it would be catastrophic. "And you?" He asked Nekura. She smiled and orderd quickly not really caring much what she was eating.

Naruto wait impatiently the few seconds before their food arrived. At once, he began to scarf it down.

Nekura ate at a slower pace, somwhat uncomfortable, as Iruka was staring at her. She had the odd fealing that she was being aprased, which would have made her angry and uncomfortable under normal circumstances, let alon while she was eating. She ground her teeth together, forcing herself not to give the man Naruto obviousyl liked and respected a peice of her mind.

Naruto noticed this from the corner of his eye, by the way that her cheek skin tightened up. "Iruka-Sensei, you seem to be making Neku-chan very incomforable. . . You are going to make her mad." Naruto shifted slightly, looking toward Iruka. "It wouldn't be exctally smart to make a Blood Ninja mad."

Iruka looked surprised by Naruto's warning, and the fact that, inspecting her as he was, he hadn't notticed that she was very obviously uncomfortable with his inspection of her. But really, he was just trying to protect Naruto by it. Nekura was surprised that Naruto had been able to so easily read her expression, and actually found herself smiling a bit through her anger. "Sorry, Nekura-san." Said Iruka politly. "It's allright." She said, coolly.

Naruto looked from one to the other, trying to tell if they were going to start fighting. And what he ment by that, was Nekura lunging at Iruka. After a few moments, he went back to scarfing down his raman happily.

Nekura went back to her own food. "Please, stop staring." She requested as politly as she could of Iruka, who was still staring at her. She was trying as hard as she could not to make Naruto's premonition come true, and lunge at Iruka.

Okay. So maybe he was wrong. This wasn't exctally a good idea. He could only hold his breath, hopeing for the best. "More raman, please!" He yelled happily.

Iruka now kept glanceing at Nekura out of the coner of his eye, instead of staring. Nekura looked at her ramen, smirked a bit, and fixed a blanck stare on her face, a creepy one, and began to stare back at him.

Naruto sighed lightly. But, he had to admitt, Iruka had it coming. He tried to ignore the two, gettign himself another bowl of raman.

Iruka continued glanceing at her every so often, Nekura wasn't eating at this point. Finnaly she pushed her bowl back and stood up. "I'll be back, I'm going... to find the ladies room." She said, through gritted teeth.

When she left, Naruto looked up to Iruka, slightly annoyed. "Iruka-Sensei, Why'd you do that? You upset her." He muttered, frowning slightly. "She just got here, you could at least make her feel welcomed and stare at her like she'd from Mars or something."

Iruka frowned, "Naruto, I don't think she's right for you." He said. The comment was apperently random, but he was merely speaking from his observations.

"You didn't think I'd graduate either." Naruto muttered, tapping his headband. "But that happened, too. Besides, you don't know Nekura like I do."

"I allways knew you'd graduate." Iruka said defensivly. "There's just somthing odd about her Naruto, and I think she's too... Low key for you. In a sence." HE said. "Anyone who can bottle anger away like that is bound to become a ticking time bomb, Naruto." Iruka said, kindly as he could.

Naruto glared at him. "She's a Blood Ninja, of course you'd say that." He muttered. "I'm sorry, Iruka-Sensei, but you're wrong."

"Naruto, I just think that, ragaurdless of where she comes from, she can't be a good thing for you." Iruka said.

"So tell me, what would you say if she came from the leaf village?" Naruto muttered, looking up to Iruka. "What would you say if she was like Sakura?"

"I... I don't know, Naruto, if she were like Sakura then she'd be like Sakura, and Sakura, is definatly not dangerouse. And she was a top student, and I thought you liked her?"

Naruto nodded slightly. "And what if I was with Sakura? But Sakura was like Nekura?" He questioned again.

"Then...Then I don't know. I probably would think she wasn't right for you." Said Iruka. "What about Hinata, she's a very nice girl?"

"Iruka, You're starting to stutter." Naruto muttered, turning back to his raman. "Just because Nekura isn't 'nice', or 'not dangerouse', or from this village, doesn't mean she's not 'right' for me."

"But Naruto, you're just... the kind of person who needs a NICE SAFE girl." He said. "Somone who will enjoy you're... energy, and not kill you for it." Nekura Had been listening this entire time, she was just off to the side of them a bit, knowing neither would nottice her, she was hidden well.

"And what if I don't want someone like that?" Naruto muttered, glancing at Iruka from the corner of his eye. "What if I want someone that's differenet. Someone that likes messy houses and height and that's not afraid to to speak her mind when something bothers her. Someone like Nekura."

From her coner, Nekura was smiling a smile so large, it threatened to split her face in two. Iruka merely stared at Naruto for a few minutes, "But NAruto..." He said. "She just... Don't you realize there's somthing, funny about her. She could be planning on killing you in your sleep or..."
"Yes, I'm planning to kill him in his sleep, that's why, during all the time he stayed in my house I let him live, and why I've come with him here, to kill him in his sleep, because I couldn't possibly have done it in a place where noone would kill me for it, that would make to much sence." Nekura said, dryly, emerging from her corner.

Naruto smiled toward Nekura. Then looke dback toward Iruka with a 'drop it' expression. He said nothing more as he began to scarf down more raman.

Iruka looked highly embarresed to have been over heard, but did, indeed, drop it. He stared at the table, not even looking at Nekura as she reseated herself, and slowly began to eat her by now cold ramen. "Thank you, Naru-kun." She whispered.

Naruto smiled lightly, looking toward her. "Anything for you, Neru-chan." He mumbled back, then went straight back to his raman.

Nekura ate the last of her ramen happily, not even notticing how cold it was. He had no idea, he couldn't, how much what he said had meant to her.

After a few more bowls of raman, Naruto was done. He was, amazingly, full. He looked toward Iruka and smiled, then back to Nekura. "Are you done?"

Nekura nodded. "I'll just get the check." Iruka said, "You ate less than ususal." He added, cheerfully. "Are you ok?" He tacked on the end, frowning.

Naruto nodded slightly. "Yep. I'm perfecly okay." He muttered, smilign brightly.

"Allright." Iruka sounded unsure, but doled out the money for the ramen anyway. "I've got papers to grade, Naruto, I'm glad you're back ." He said. "But, I've gotta go." Ordinarily, Nekura would have told him it had been nice meeting him. However now, she kept the pleasentry to herself, having taken a dislike to him.

"Alright. See you later, Iruka-Sensei." Naruto muttered, streching slightly. "Should we head home now, Neku-chan?" He questioned, standing and looking toward her.

"Up to you, Naru-kun." She replyed. "It's starting to get dark, I suppose we should." She guessed this village wouldn't be as bad as hers at night, but it was hard drilled into her brian to ALLWAYS be inside before dark.

"We could see the stars." Naruto smiled. He pretty much guessed that she wouldn't have seen stars because of the whole 'night' thing and the fact usually there were clouds. "They're really pretty." He added, grabbing her hand to lead her off.

She smiled,"Allright." The only stars she had really seen were on the occasional clear night, when she was stuck in her treehouse, not having left earlie enough, and being unable to reach the village. And even then, the terror that somthing or somone would com along and kill her, had over shadowed any chance at a happy memory. "This place is so nice, I understand why you like it here." Nekura said. "I just don't understand though, how everyone seems to manage to get allong."

Naruto shrugged slightly. "I dunno. I guess we're just, peaceful." He muttered, smiling widely. "We can sit on my roof!" He exclaimed, draggin her off yet again.

It was a surprising announcment, a weird place, in Nekura's mind to go, but, whatever worked. "The roof?" She asked, laughing and following easily behind him.

"Yeah!" Naruto smiled brightly. "It's the perfect place to watch the sky. Nothing blocks the way!"

"Allright." The thought made her slightly homesick for her treehouse, but she would certainly live. "So, does this village had allot of genin, or are you guys pretty much it?" She asked.

"Yeah. We only have Chunnin exams twice a year." He muttered, shrugging slightly. "It's pretty hard to pass, too." He thoguht about it for a moment. "But Genuin and do B, sometimes A rank missions if it is nessicary. Us goign to the Blood Village was actually, after we got there found out, was an S-rank mission. The Kage actually thought there wasn't one and we got sent."

Nekura sighed, "That happens somtimes, people wander into the village. Doesn't happen often though. Last time I know of, it was some ANBU, from here I guess, they were looking for some criminal. They were killed, soon as they got there, far as I know."

Naruto frowned slightly. "So it wasn't a rouge ninja." He muttered absently, thinking back. He'd left and never came back. They were informed he was attacked by a rouge ninja.

"No, it wasn't. It was a jonin, maybe two, from our... from there." She corrected herself in saying, 'our village' it wasn't her village anymore.

Before, that probably would have amazed Naruto, but he was pretty use to it by now. "Wow. Maybe we shouldn't tell Hokage that."

"Probably not." She said. "I immagine it would be wise if I keep really quite about allot of things to do with the blood village, otherwise I'll have ALLOT of different partys out to get me." She said. "Are we nerely there?"

"Yeah. Or Tsuande is going to get drunk again and send us into war. . . And probably lose." Naruto muttered the last aprt under his breath. "Yep. Almost there."

"Your hokage would do somthing like that?" She asked, looking a bit surprised.

"When she has too much booze, yeah." Naruto nodded slightly. He didn't even want to remember a time. "Here we are." He muttered, grabbign onto the doro ledge and pullign himself up. He was too tired to jump it.

Nekura followed him easily, though she was a bit tired as well, it had been a very long trip over here.

Naruto flopped down on the cool roof tile. He rolled over onto his back and looked into the sky. Then patted the area next to him.

Nekura grinned, laying beside him happily, "It's beautifull." She said, reverently.

"Yeah." Naruto responded, smiling up to the sky.

A contented sigh excaped Nekura's lips, this was her idea of pretty much the perfect day, minus Iruka, and the travling of this morning. But still, it seemed much more... mellow, than any other time in her life.

Naruto carefully slipped his arm under Nekura's head, like a pillow, and pulled her a bit closer. "I'm glad you came." He smiled softly. "Really glad."

Snuggling closer to him, Nekura ignored her blush. "I'm glad too, really glad." She said, moving close enough to lay her head on his shoulder.

Naruto smiled, ignoring his own heated face, as well.

She turned slightly, to place one arm across his chest. It was odd, to feal safe enough as to embrace somone like this, regaurdless of having hugged him and such before. There was just somthing... different, about laying here like this.

Though the stars were beautifull, Nekura soon found her eyes fluttering shut. She was apperently more tired than she had thought, and it was very nice and warm, lieing here with Naruto.

Unlike at the Blood Village, they probably wouldn't be hurt in any physical way if they slept here. Probably a headache from the hard, cold roof, but that was about it. Naruto gave out a short yawn, also closing his eyes.

Nekura unconcsiouly snuggled closer to him, holding onto him. It was warmer than it had ever been in her memory in the blood village, but it was still cold, and Naruto, was warm. Well, he was warm to Nekura's touch, anyway.

Naruto pulled her a bit closed, felling himself drifting off into sleep.

Naruto blinked one eye open against the glaring sun. He yawned, looking toward Nekura. They must have fallen alseep there.

Nekura's eyes were opened, but her face was burried in Naruto's chest, where she had ended up cuddled last night at some point. The sun seemed far to bright, without mist covering it up like it had allways been back home.

Naruto smiled brightly. Bright sun. So very bright. "W shoudl go inside." He muttered, squeezing Nekura slightly before letting her go.

She rolled slowly off of him. "Umhm. We should." Her back cracked as she stood up. "Geeze, I'm sore." She said.

Naruto nodded slightly. "Yeah. That's the only down side to sleeping on the roof."

"In addition to the fact that we'll probably both get sick from sleeping outside in the cold." Nekura said. She stretched a bit. "So, what're the plans for today?" She asked. It was odd to be the one asking.

"Well. I dunno." Naruto admitted. "I guess we should see Tsuande about you're headband, thou."

"Headband?" She asked, it hadn't occured to her that she'd be able to become a ninja in a village she wasn't born in.

"Yeah!" Naruto smiled happily, rubing the back of his neck as he spoke. "Because you were legally released from your village, you can reclaim your headband of the imported village and reclaim your spoat at the rank you were in the old village."

"Oh yeah, I suppose I can." She said. "That's great. I'd be so bored without any ninja stuff to do." She was exited now.

Naruto nodded. "So would I." He muttered, climbing down from the roof.

"Were you bored in the Blood village then?" She asked, following him.

"Absolutly not." Naruto muttered. He found it hard to think about beign bored in the blood village.

"I figured." Nekura said. "Kinda hard to be bored when there're allot of people waiting around to kill you." For some reason, that statment made her miss Blood quite a bit.

Naruto nodded slightly. "Yeah, sorta." He muttered ,chuckling slightly. "Especailly when you're trying to avoid everything else as well."

"Yup." Nekura said. "Sheesh, we slept late, the suns awfully high up." She noted.

Naruto looked up slightly, then chuckled. "Looks like we did."

"We should probably get Val, and Sakura." Nekura noted absently.

Naruto nodded as well. "Probably." He frowned slightly. The team would seem smaller, even with Nekura and Val, without Sasuke.

Nekura glanced at Naruto, "You miss him, huh?" She asked, reading his face, she hoped she was acurate in her assumption, otherwise she'd seem pretty stupid.

Naruto nodded slightly, then sighed. "Yeah. A little. We don't even know where he went." He mumbled.

"Well, you know why he left, and who he's after, so you have at least a part of the puzzle, if you decide to look for him." Nekura said.

"Yeah. But even if we do look for him, there's nothing saying he has to come back." Naruto sighed once more. "He becomes a missing nin, I'm sure he wouldn't care about that, thou."

"Well, maybe he just needs to be left alone for his little revenge hunt, he'll eventually be done with it, and realize that his life is awfully empty without his friends." Nekura said.

Meenwhile, Sasuke was on his way to the sound village, having been confronted by several agents of Orochimaru, who had alerted him to Orochimaru's ability to help Sasuke gain power, so far, there were no thoughts of returning, let alone plans.

Naruto frowned slightly. "You don't know Sasuke very well." He murmured, looking up into the sky blankly for a moment, then back down to her. "He propbably won't want to come back after that. After her kills 'him'. Whoever Him is." He muttered. "Someone like Sasuke, can very easily be overcome with power."

"I see. But, what's the use of power when you no longer have a goal? Surly he wouldn't try to... I don't know, take over or somthing?" Nekura asked

Naruto frowned slightly. He'd never really taken the time to know Sasuke. It was all about being better than him. "I don't know." He admitted, shrugging with a pathedic painted on his face.

Nekura fealt a little bad about bringing up the subject and obviously upsetting Naruto, but there wasn't really anything to be done now. Though, the subject did make her wonder how Blood was doing, She and Blood seemed to have had a simular relationship as Naruto and Sasuke. (('Cept not so easily to make Yaoi out of! *Hums happily while reading SasuNaru*.))

Blood sat silently in the hospital. Her monthly check-up, unfortunatly, and she was not in the mood to see anyone. Her face was plastered with an even angery look than before. Only this morning had she ripped, litterly, a woman's arm off for bumping into her. But, she reminded silent still, waiting for the doctor to return.

Nekura glanced at him from benieth her hair but kept quite as well ."Are we allmost there?" She asked finnaly.

"Oh, good." She said. She looked around, curiosly at her surroundings, this village still seemed so odd to her.

Naruto knocked on the door twice before entering. Tsuande looked over her papers that she seemed to be reading over. Then smiled. "Naruto. Nice to see you again." She looked back to the papers. Naruto sighed. "Yeah. So I've heard. This is Nekura. Nekura, this is Tsuande."

Nekura nodded her head, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Lady Tsunade." She said respectfully. She had heard abou lady Tsunade, apart from her just being Hokage, she was also one of the legendary Sanin, which, in Nekura's books made her a figure to be respected, for the moment.

Tsuande nodded in agreement, looking over her for a headband. Naruto realized this immediatly. "That's why were here, Tsuande. She left her old village," He searched his pockets quickly, looking for the paper. "And she needs a new headband." Then he remember, they forgot about Val and Sakura.

Nekura remembered at about the same moment, "We forgot Val, and Sakura." She said, looking like she may have wanted to bang her head on a wall. "This is why I write stuff down." She added, under her breath.

"Tell me about it." Naruto muttered back, reciving an odd look from Tsuande. "There are more of you?" She questioned, slightly afraid of the answer. She'd sent off three students, lost one, and came back with more than she stared with. How that worked out, she didn't want to know. "How many more?" She questioned as she read over the parchment Naruto had given her.

"One." Nekura replied. "My teammate, Valentine." She rarely called him by his whole name, but it fealt to her as if she should at least be semi-official in this particular situation.

Tsuande looked over the parchment quickly beofre looking back up. "Go fetch him, then." She snapped at Naruto who quickly scrambled out the door. "Come on Neku-chan!"

Nekura followed quickly, no desire to fall behind and end up lost.

Sakura, luckily, didn't live to far away from Tsuande's office. "Sorry about the rush." He called back to Nekura' sliddign to a stop and banging on the door.

"It's ok." Nekura said, not really minding. Generally, she could outrun Naruto anyway. "I just didn't want to lose track of where you were, I'd prefer not to be lost, or stuck in an office making small talk with her..." She had decided that she didn't really like Tsunade allready, however she'd try not to show it, the woman WAS hokage after all.

Naruto smiled broadly, then knocked rapidly on Sakura's door. "SAKURA!" He yelled, clearly in a rush.

Val heard the knocking, and recognized the voice, so decided it was safe to answer the door for the Haruno's, whom he could not currently locate.

"Shut up, Naruto!" Sakura called back to him through an upstairs window. Naruto looked up and smiled. "Lady Tsuande wants to see you and Valetine." Oh yes, he'd use this to his advantage.

Val glared, "You used my full name Nekura!?" He shouted angrily. "Yes, and shut up, Val, or I'll start using it all the time." She said, coolly.

Naruto snickered, slipping into the house past Val. "Hurry up, Sakura!" He called up the stairs. In return, he was hit with a coat hanger. "I'll come when I'm good and ready!"

"Awe, come on!" Nekura called to her. There was just somthing about girls like Sakura that bugged her a bit. Val stood in the doorway, just waiting for Sakura.

Another hanger came tumbling down, again hitting Naruto. "I didn't say that!" He yelled back quickly hurrying back outside where he'd be safe. Sakura knew well it was Nekura, but she wasn't about to piss off a Blood Ninja. A few moments later, Sakura came bounding downstairs. "Now we can go."

Nekura glared at her a bit, she was a bit surprised to find herself in a 'I'm the only one who may pick on Naruto' mindset. It was a bit odd to her, but, whatever. Val notticed the glare and sniggered, whispering to Nekura in a sing song voice, "Nekura and NAruto sittin' in a tree... Ow!" He said, as he was wacked in the head by Nekura.

Naruto glared at Val. Two could play that game. "Valentine and Sakura sittin in a tree," But, like Val, Naruto was smacked by Sakura. Note to self, don't play games that hurt. "Let's just go." Sakura hissed angerily.

Nekura gave her another glare, a very 'leave Naruto alone or you will be reminded why you didnt' like the Blood Village' implication to it. She did not allow herself to be hissed at by anyone but Blood, anyway.

Sakura quickly looked away, clearly not wanting to go that way. She shivered slightly, quickly following after Naruto, who'd become unpatient and hurried off at a walking pace. "Come on, Val."

"Coming." Said Val, happy to follow her. Nekura had taken off after Naruto, knowing the this time she at least had a vauge knowledge of where she was going.

Sakura grumbled something to herself before falling into pace with Val. "How come you're not like the others? I mean, evil and blood thristy?"

Naruto smiled toward Nekura. He only hope that he wouldn't fall back this time. He tried to pick his pace up before she caught up.

"Huh?" Asked Val, taking a moment to comprehend what she'd said. "Whoever said I wasn't bloodthirsty and evil?" He asked.

Nekura giggled a bit, taking note of this. She sped up slightly, though not enough that she would have any worries of passing him.

"I mean, it's not like you tried to kill me with a butcherknife." Sakura mumbled, relieved that Nekura and Naruto were dashing off ahead of them. "Or giving me these death looks."

Naruto, for once, stopped nicely at the door. Nekura hadn't tried to pass him, if she did, she would have. "Come on! It's no fun if you let me win."

"Well, I don't know, I guess it has somthing to do with the fact that I wasn't actually born in the Blood village." Val said, shrugging. "Plus, if I threatened a woman over anything that wasn't threatening somone's life, well, my mother would probably come back from the dead and start beating me with a rolling pin or somthing."

Nekura laughed, "I'm not letting you win, I don't know where I'm going, remember!" She said. She moved to stand beside him, obligingly however.

Sakura frowned slightly. "Where were you born then." IT wasn't like her to be nosey. . . Eh. Nevermind.

Naruto gave her a look of disbeliefe, but said nothing of it. He looked back, hopeing he hadn't left the other two too far behind. If he went in there without them, he'd be in trouble and Tsuande wouldn't be happy.

"A long way from here." He replied crypticly. It wasn't taht he really cared if she knew or not, it wasn't any great secret, he just didn't honestly feal like talking about where he had come from, which would lead to other subject of his past, and undoubtedly land him in a conversation he wanted nothing to do with.

"What, it's true." Nekura said. "Naru-kun," She said, her voice lowering a bit, "Um... just out of curiosity," What she was about to ask, she figured would either upset her very much by his answer, or make him very angry. "Do you like Sakura?" She did NOT meen as a friend.

"Oh." Sakura responded, not wanting to push him any farther. It was probably uncomfortable for him.

"Well, I use to." Naruto muttered, looking down to his feet. He didn't want to upset Nekura in anyway, but he use to like Sakura. Before their mission and he didn't want to lie to Nekura.

Val gave her a smile, "Come on, let's catch up to those two." He said.

Nekura nodded, "Use to as in, you don't like her anymore, right?" She asked.

Sakura nodded, then took off in a dash.

Naruto nodded absently. "Yeah. Pretty much."

Val followed easily, he may have passed her, had he known where he was going.

Nekura smiled, "Good." She said, shortly.

Sakura smiled slightly, meeting up with Naruto and Nekura at the door. "Alright, then." Naruto muttered, pushing his way back into the hokage's office. "Lady Tsuande, Valentine and Sakura are here now."

Val gave Naruto a glare, and made a weird sort of hissing noise but said nothing. Nekura merely followed behind Naruto, perfectly happy to do so. ((Do you want to do a massive time skip eventually, not maybe right this second, but perhaps we can eventually timeskip to Sasuke's return,well. his return to the Blood village, and then they'll all be a bit older too.))

Naruto stuck his tongue out at Val. He knew well Val wasn't stupid and as long as he stayed within sight of Nekura, he'd be okay. Tsuande looked up again. Well. his one didn't sound threatening, and she was proven wrong. Again. Clearly by the responce Naruto recieved. "Very well." She murmured, searching through her messy desk.

Val glared again, though it didn't have even half the wrath of Nekura's earlier glare, it was merely a sort of annoyed look. "Yeah yeah, let Nekura protect you, wimp." He muttered, standing close enough to Naruto for him to hear, but not near enough that Nekura had any chance of overhearing. ((Great minds think alike :D ))
