Ai wandered around not seeing anything 'delightful' to eat. She sat next to Phoe and sighed then yawned.
Pheo smiled. "You need to sleep. It's safe here!"
She knew. Somehow.
Kao yawned, he was sleepy too now.
The pheonix was already alseep.

I don't sleep. Ai kcracked hr knuckles on both hands before standing. I'm going out. She turned to the door to leave.
"no." Pheo shook her head, grabbign AI's wrist.
"Its not safe out there now."She said, struggling for words.

Ai pulled from her grip. I'll be fine. She let out an angerily hiss of warning.
"I don't want my friend to get hurt." Pheo said, stomping her foot.
She was glowing again.
Whatever it was out there, it scared her.

Ai growled angerily. She kept her thoughts to herself not wanting to hurt the girl, but never the less turned to leave yet again.

Ai growled as ice pricked around her wrist. Let go. She demanded.

Rhea giggled and went to the room with the blood. She clapped her hands like a little girl and walked into the room. It smelled so good! She started drinking the blood.
"Promise youwon't get hurt?"

Ai slipped out the door and into the night air.
[Yay Elly!!!! You survived!!!!]
Rhea drank her fill and went back to the room where the normal food was. She sat down and said, "Thanks, Pheo."
There was something wrong with it- it smelled sickly sweet, like death.
Pheo looked worred, and was glowing again. "Your welcome. Um.. i'm gonna go 'splore." She said, heading for the door.
((Yeah. BUt my stupid mouth hurts :())
[It'll pass. Are you delusional? Do you feel like you're on an acid trip or something? Haha.]
Rhea came up behind Kao and said, "But it tastes good." She shrugged. "I feel fine!"

Ai sat outside the door taking in the damp air silently.
Something was approaching, somthing that made the smell worse.
Kao smiled at her. "It is good. Makes me wonder why the looney didn't just own up.."
Pheo slipped through the maze till she found a tiny room.
In it was a binder.
Rhea tilted her head to the side. "What do you mean?"
"Dreamer was supposed to perform here and there wa a bunch of wierdos who drank blood. Her parents put up with it. Peho is Dreamer, I think"
Pheo hugged the binder to her chest as the smell got to heer nose, making her feel ill. She started for the room.

Ai sighed and stood to explore a bit more. She couldn't really see so she just brushed past.
"Really? If you remember it, why doesn't she?" She turned and saw Pheo walking down to the other room.
something grabbed Ai, something cold and freezing.
Something dead.
Pheo was actulaly coming back, clutching a binder.
"Honestly, she hated the life her parents made her lead. She loved them enough she would sing, but... I think she does remember. She just dosen't want too. And.. I think she dosen't recognize me, because.. well.. I used to be blonde."

Ai took no notice in it. Her body was always cold and frezzing. Why would she notice it now.

Milai and Kyo were listening, like they had been the entire time. Milai gave a small giggle, so much out of character. For some reason, picturing Kao as a blonde made her giggle.
Kao blushed. "Kiddo, be glad you didn't see me, I looked funny. See that poster" he asked.
It was a poster.
Pheo was on it, only she looked different- there was no inner fire. She was just a person.
Behind her were two guys, and Kao was on the right, blonde, and dancing.
Pheo came in, still hugging the binder.
The sickly smell was so thick you could choke on it. The thing yanked Ai foward, to eat her.

Milai looked at the poster and giggled again. "You look funny as a blonde..." she said, eyes twinkling with laughter.
Koji turned when he heard Pheo come in. "Hey...are you okay?"
"I'm fine." She said. as she entered, the air in the room omoved.
It smelled sickly now.
She still hugged the binder.
It was dead, but it stumbled. It didn't bleed, but it roared.

Out of curiosity Ai poked it wit the end of her unsheathed blade.
Rhea giggled. "Ha, that's you?" She put her hand over her mouth to stifle more laughter. Then she jumped when she heard a loud roar from outside.

It roared again, she had knocked another hole in it. it thwacked ehr hard with one hand.

It fell open to a photo of her and her parents, pheo smiling.
And as herself.
Pheos glow was up as she ran to stop the roaring thing.

Ai pulled back in annoyment. *Five seconds later* She had rounded it into a wooden cage and was dragging it buy a iorn chain. I shall call you Pet and you shall be my pet. She smiled

Rhea ran outside and saw Ai with an odd looking creature in a cage. She tilted her head and said, "What is that thing?"

Milai and Koji had followed as well. Milai's eyes widened slightly and she saw Koji's eyes narrow from the corner of her eye.
"What the hell..." they both muttered.
Pheo took one look at it and she glowed hard.
It was scary looking, it had flessh dropping off of it. It was dead.
And It scared her.
She hid behind Rhea, an easy enough thing to do, considering how smlal she was.
Rhea looked down at Pheo and said to Ai, "It's cute, but do you think you can take it somewhere else? It's scaring her." Then she thought, Why am I always the hiding spot?

-As Janeen heard a bit of cummotion she hopped out of the tree adn began to wonder around- "I wonder where everyone is" -she said looking around cautiously-
Pheo liked Rhea alot, if she had been asked why she hid behind the other girl she would have said it was because she made her feel safe somehow.
Kao was edging slowly away as it poked the branch.
Apparently it just ate people.

Ai looked annoyed with it. She reached into the cage and pet it on its head. It no eat Momoy. Huh?
Rhea sighed. "Ai, please." She looked over at Kao and giggled again. He seemed to be scared of it, too.
He was just a bit creeped.
It stared at Ai.
Pheo poked her head out. "Wait.. it won't eat us. Right?" She asked, looking scared still.
Kao jumped, yelping as he tripped. He hadn't noticed Pheo was out there.

Rhea, with fast reflexes, held Kao up before he hit the ground. She said to Pheo, "See? It's alright. Just don't get too close."

"I guess we have a new... person in our group.." She said of it, though she wasn't sure it was a person. "can we go in now? Cause there is something bad bout outside."
She was right, there was this really strange smill in the air still,a nd it wasn't the dead thing.

She could sense something wtih no light, somewhere in the town.
Something that wanted them all dead.

Rhea carefully pushed Pheo to the front of the group and said, "You know this place better than the rest of us."
Pheo blushed, but carefully led them back towards the food room.
She knew theis place and loved it.

Milai and Koji brought up the rear of the group.
Pheo joined in with Kao- her voice was realy awesome as she sang. She didn't even notice seh was singinga s she led them.

Ai carefully memorized her surrondings like she did any other time.
Rhea's eyes widened as she listened to the song. She knew that song. Her sister was in love with it when she was alive.
They reached the food rooms.
Around that point Pheo realized she was singing and stopped.
"There are beds in that room, if someone is sleepy.." She said, pointing to a door beside the food room's.

And if we're not? Ai pointed out bring up the 'I don't sleep' comment from ealier.
Rhea looked around. The building wasn't dirty, shockinly, for something that looked like it'd been deserted for years.
"We can go in there." She pointed to another door. "There are places to sit there. But we should all try to get some rest."
She picked up a binder that was laying on the ground and went into the sitting room, humming again.
It was the same song as before.
Rhea turned around and headed down the hall to where Pheo said bedrooms were. She picked a small, simple one, with two beds in it. She sat down on one and looked around.

Ai dragged the cage into the sitting room. She took a moment to look around before laying ontop the cage.
Pheo found herself yawning as she opened the binder and went to the bedrooms. She accidentally chose the one Rhea was in.
"Sorry!"
Kao was in the same room as AI, and the monster below her was asleep.
Rhea smiled and said, "It's alright. I don't mind."

Ai rested her head on the cage and she sighed. I won't bother him much. She looked aside to Kao then closed her eyes. I shouldn't risk it.
"Okay." She yawned again, sitting on the other bed. she dropped the binder, and a photo of her slid out.
She was hiding behind a girl who looked alot like Rhea.
Kyo looked over at her. He thought the AI was brave. Stupid, but brave.

"Tired?" Koji asked Milai as they walked to the other room Pheo had pointed to.
"No...I don't sleep at night." She told him, hands linked behind her back.
"You don't? Why not?"
"Because most people sleep at night. And they dream. Dreams keep my awake at night...so I tend to sleep during the day."
"Oh. That kinda reminds me of a vampire..."
"It's like that, but it's not like that." She lifting a blue-ish eyebrow. "What about you? You tired?"
"Not really."
Rhea glanced down at the photo and gasped. Was that her? She looked at Pheo and decided to ask later. She laid down on the bed and thought about everything that had happened so far.

Ai let out a low growl. She opened her mouth to speak, but instead came up coughing.
Kyo jumped. "You okay?" He asked, going over.
Pheo catnapped for maybe five minutes before aking again- she coulden't sleep.
The dark thing was looming in her mind, though it wasn't very close.

"I'm fine!" Ai snapped. Her voice was cracked and horse. As if she had eaten a chalkboard and nails ran down it. She placed a hand over her throat and set her head own again looking away from Kao.
She slipped out ot the room, the binder still on the bed.
"Okay... calm down honey.." KAo called her one of those things he called everyone.
Pheo stood in the hall, thinking. there was a third door, it led to a stage.

Koji and Milai heard singing from somewhere. They looked at each other, silently deciding to go check out who was singing...and why.
Kao wondere what her problem was. "Learn what?" he asekd Rhea
Pheo finished the short song and flipped the mike off, sinking down.
She sat on the edge of the stage.
She loved to sing, but, it brought back memories of the friends she had lost.
And it hurt heer, to sing loudly- The cuts her firend had made were thick, making it hard for her to sing.

Milai and Koji found her after a moment. A look passed through Milai's eyes and she went over to Pheo, hugging the girl.
"What's wrong?" she asked.

Ai looked around the room to make sure it was empty before removing the blanket and looking down at Pet. She cleared her throat and began to speak to him. Until now she thought her voice was gone, but now she knew it was broken, not gone.
"Yeah. But all I did was ask if she was okay..."

"Its just.. nothing.." She said, not wanting to burden her with her troubles.

Feeling a bit odd talking to this dead thing Ai sighed and tossed the blanket over the cage once more. She lay on her bed with her eyes closed trying to sleep.
Pheo sighed, looking down.
A white scar was visible, there was one on either side of her neck.
"Just.. my parents were here the last time I saw them.. I guess I was hoping they might be in here. Just.. singing so loud hurts."
"I don't get it... I just wanted to make sure she was okay, because she was coughing really hard.

Pheo looked around the huge ampitheatre. Something made her want to move.
Now.
"Lookout" she said, pusing the othersa way form her as darkness spun at them.
"Maybe she felt like she was being overpowered. You've seen the way she acts. Her attitude."
She laughed and sat down.

The two stumbled back a little.
"Is that darkness?" Milai asked, eyes wide for a moment.
Koji narrowed his eyes. "Yeah..." his own hands were glowing with darkness.
[Hey, Snow, could you post in Mad World?]
Rhea said, "Can I poke it?" She leaned down towards the cage.
Pet was asleep.
Pheo was scared and glowing.
"Stop!" she yelled at it, wincing at having to be so loud. Pure fire came from her hands, htting the darkness and sortof making it draw back. But it simply went around.

Milai was helping Koji make his own darkness stronger. The darkness was making Koji angry and he was going to try to control it himself.

Ai shrugged. It might eat you.
It lunged at milai and grabbed her- and that made Pheo's temper snap.
"Don't hurt my friends!" Seh sadi softly, fire wrapping around Milai. The flames didn'thurt but the darkness sure did.
Kao winced. Pet had flech dropping off of it...
Rhea giggled. "Oh, well." She put her face against the bars and put one finger inside. She poked it and waited. But nothing happened. She laughed, "It's squishy!"

Milai twitched; she didn't like the darkness or fire surrounding her. A glow started from her and it burned the darkness with a white-hot flash.
It dropped her- Pheo caught her, though she fell over.
Milai was bigger than her. like everyone else.
Fire formed a shield around Koji and the two girls.
Fire kept attacking the thing.

Kao got up. "Think he eats blood?"
Pet yawned.
Kao didn't mind her voice, he htought it symbolized how tough she was.

Milai moved off of Pheo and helped her up.
"You okay?" Koji called over to the two.

Rhea smiled and sat back down, watching Pet. It was a funny little creature.

Ai shrugged. She didn't know what it was or what it ate.
"Let's try chocolate!" Rhea said happily. She looked around for a bar and saw one, open with only one bite taken out of it on a table. She picked it up and brought it over to Ai. "Can I feed it?"

Ai shrugged and curled into a ball letting her hand flop in front of the cage.
Rhea broke off a piece and watched in delight as Pet gobbled it up. She gave it the whole bar, listening to its slurps and grunts.
Kao was watching, and fell asleep.
He loked cute then.
"Yeah." She said.
She was keeping the barrier up though it hurt- she wasn't very strong.

Milai touched Pheo's shoulder, helping her hold the barrier up. Darkness joined; Koji was helping them.
"Thank you." Pheo said softly, staring at the darkness.
She had an idea.
"I think I knowhow to kill it. Theres... something inside it. If I can burn it... the darkness will go away."
"Koji, can you shield us?" She said it loud enough to be heard.

Rhea looked over at Kao. She smiled. "I think I'm going to look around some more." She stood up and walked off, looking down the many halls.
Kao was out of it.
In one hall there was a radio. with a CD in it.

"Gotcha covered!" Koji called back, covering them with his own shield.
"Need me to help you?" Milai asked.

She was starting to glow.

Milai's hands glowed as well, transferring the light over to Pheo.
The darkness engulfed the fare.
And it promptly exploded.
arkness was flung on the shield too hard to be imagined.

Koji swore. Some of the darkness was breaking through the shield. Milai pulled Pheo down as it flew towards her head at an alarming rate.
Pheo yelped as darkness hit them, and a fire shield went up. But it wasn't very goo,d though it killed the bigger things.
Tears filled her eyes,a nd they gloed, like there was glitteri n them.

"Calm down Pheo..." Milai needed her calm. Koji made the dark shield thicker, trying to make it so that nothing broke through it again.
"Sorry!" Pheo forced herself to think of the first thing that came to mind, Koji.
She managed to stop the glowing, and wiped her face.
Her shield backed up Kojis.

Milai rubbed her red hair, making sure she stayed relaxed. Her eyes went over to Koji. "You okay Koji?"
"Yeah. What about you two?"
She nodded.
There was a slight cut above Pheo's eye, but fo her, cuts and scrapes were normal.
The darkness stopped finally.
Pheo was too scared to realize how sleepy she was.

"You're tired Pheo. You need to go rest." Milai told her.
"Only if you guys do too. you need to sleep as well. And.. the thing outside can't come in here."

Kao mumbled in his sleep.
Pheo looked at the two, wondering if they were sleepy. They should be, they had worked harder than her.

"Okay." Pheo said She took both of thier hands. "I know were some beds are. Ane milai, you need to sleep too. Tou did work too. "
She was sleepy, but she was stubborn.
She startted leading them to the place with beds.

Koji told Pheo about what Milai had told him about her and sleeping at night.
Pheo blinked. "Okay.. but promise you'll at least try a little bit?" Seh asked.
Rhea saw a dark room with two small lights in the back corner. She slowly walked toward them. They disappeared for a split second and reappeared again. Are they eyes? she thought.

She doubted she would sleep, but if it would put her at ease, then she'd promise to at least try to sleep.
Pheo found a room with three beds,a nd took the one near a door, curling up on it.
She had a cut below her eye, it was scagbbing over but it must hurt.
It explained why her glow kept stayin.

Milai took the bed in the middle and Koji at the other end. Milai noticed that Pheo still continue to glow so she hummed, trying to keep her relaxed.
She actually fell asleep quickly, but continued to glow.
She didn't dream, for once- she was too exausted too.
He rglow was almost comforting, in the blackouted room.

Milai stared up at the ceiling, lost in the orbs of dreams. Koji had fallen asleep and was dreaming of something. His dream orb kept following her, teasing her by bumping her shoulder and going to hide behind her.
Soon enough Pheo was dreaming too- It was a bit goofy, produced by her subconsious.
Her dream orb was actually staying close to Kojis.
Like she had a crush or something.
The owner of the pair of eyes stepped foward.
"Meow?" Asked the tiny, half-drowned kitten to Rhea.

Milai smiled at the dream orbs. She whistled lowly to Pheo's dream orb and held her arms out. It flew in the space between her arms, spinning around. Milai kept whistling as she opened her arms wider, making the orb open up as well. When it was big enough, she stepped through, seeing what Pheo was dreaming about.
She was dreaming of all of them, of this place.
You could see the glowing she described on eacho f them, and it kinda showed who she trusted.
And for some odd reason, The dream kept flicking towards Koji.
Like, as it seemed, she had a crush.
It was a strange dream, of them flying to somewhere.
And there were cats in the dream too. And a piece of broccoli that kept dancing in circles
all in all, definately a product of a hyperactive subconcious.
Rhea put her hands over her mouth to stifle a squeal. It was a cute kitten. She picked it up and cuddled it. The poor thing looked so thin. She went back into the room where Ai and her Pet were and said, "Make sure Pet doesn't eat my kitten." She set him down and went to look for something for a kitten to eat.

Milai pursed her lips at the dream. It looks like...she has a crush on a certain someone. Milai smiled and stepped out of the dream. She noticed Koji's dream orb spinning around impatiently and that made her giggle again. She opened her arms again and whistled once more as the orb flew into her arms, much like Pheo's had done. It expanded and she stepped inside, suddenly chilled by the dream.
He was dreaming of something dark. And gloomy. She saw a little boy, one that looked a lot like him, was leaning against the wall, terrified about something. She didn't like the way this dream was going, so she changed it to a happier one before leaving this one.
Milai walked through the dream plane, seeing that both orbs continued to follow her for some odd reason.
Pheos followed because, quite frankly, it liked her.
Plus, Koji was going that way too.

((xD!!! Pheo's dream orb is making me laugh))
"Hmm...lesse. What other dream can I enter?" she pondered out loud.
She waved Koji's orb away when it bumped against her cheek lightly. She tapped her cheek, looking around for another orb. I wonder if Kao's sleeping....I don't see his orb anywhere...
Rhea saw some tuna cans laying around. What a coincidence, she thought. She picked it up and went back to the kitten, who hadn't moved. She opened it and set it down in front of him. He warily ate it.
Tehre was another orb, Kaos.
Kao was still asleep, one hand out.
He looked adorable, laying with his head pillowed on his arm on the table.
He was dreaming about cows jumping over finces-- he wasn't very creative.
((Pheo is like me.. she has strange dreams when she don't dream about things that have happened.))

Rhea looked at Kao and back at the kitten. She grinned evily. She picked the kitten up, who's now going to be called Blue, and held him above Kao's head. Her grin widened as she dropped Blue on Kao's head.

The orb flew over, circling her.
"Ah ha. There you are. I was looking for you." Milai said to the orb.
Kao's orb moved in front of her, spinning around. She made it expand and shook her head at the dream he was having. "Let's make this dream a bit more interesting."
She gave the cows wings and changed the scene to night time. As the cows flew up, the stars grew brighter and brighter. Constellations appeared in the sky, lighting it up from the brightness of the stars.
"There now..." the orb went back to its original size and Milai sat down, watching the three orbs of her friends move around.
Kao's orb vanished as he woke with a startled squack.
((Black hair that sticks up, a pair of spectacles, black outfit with a belt. and gloves.))

"Looks like he woke up." Milai sighed to herself. She looked over at Koji's orb. It was messing with Pheo's now.
Pheos was apparently alot like her- shy, but goofy and sweet.
And a little bit small, compared to other ones.

Milai was watching the orbs. One landed on her thigh and spun around. She tried to open it, and gasped when it shrank.
"What the heck?"
It shrank more until it just suddenly 'popped' and disappeared. That was strange....
Pheos image changed, becomeing a memory of singing on stage,a nd a fan freaking out, and jumping on there.
A memory of fear, pain, and hurt.
And of her fighting. She could, just not.. well...
"What did I do?" Kao asked.
"I dunno. You just looked so cute." She laughed and finished, "And so did this cat, so I combined the two!"

Milai frowned and beckoned to Pheo's orb. It came over, vibrating. It was scared for some reason. She coaxed it open and watched the dream. Poor Pheo... she didn't know if she should change it, but she did anyway. She placed an image of the three- Pheo, Koji, and herself- finding water. Koji's orb touched Milai's shoulder and it gave her an image as well; it was of him and Pheo talking, just looking up at the stars.
In the room, Pheo relaxed, her glow going down alot.
The dram vanished at the good memories of the people she considered her two bestest friends.
Kao sighed. "Well, at least it isn't a frog, rgiht?"

Time to leave.... Milai thought to herself.
On the outside, she opened her eyes. She was out of the dream plane now. She sat up in bed and blinked her eyes, feeling slightly worn out. She noticed that Pheo's glowing had gone down and she smiled. Her eyes went over to Koji to see that he was sleeping peacefully, obviously still enjoying his new dream.
The pheonix was sitting onher.
Sleep! said a voice in her head.
Rhea smiled and said, "Yep." She set Blue down next to Kao and said, "Will you watch him? I'm going to try to get some sleep."
"Kid, he is half asleep already. I'll keep an eye out for you while you sleep- this place is dangerous."

Her dreams were haunted by her past. All of her happy dreams were gone. Now she dreamt of her uncle hitting her, and her mother mistreating her.

Milai only petted it before she twitched. Someone's dream was playing in her mind and it was haunting her. She closed her eyes again and enter the dream plane. She whistled, beckoning the scared orb to her. It hid behind the others, vibrating very bad.
Rhea's dream was now of her cousin holding a lighter close to her face. She screamed, but they were the only two in the house. Then it showed her sister screaming at her for borrowing one of her shirts, and slapping her.
The pheonix gaveup, just let her use its strength.

Milai ran over to the orb, moving the others out of the way. She realized it was Rhea's orb. She made it expand and debated on whether to change it. She didn't know Rhea well...but what the heck. An image flew into the dream, one that she hoped will help take the bad dreams away. It was of a kitten playing with a ball of yarn, being adorable.
Pheo woke up to see her friend seemingly asleep. She yawned, streching.
Her black eye was healing quickly.
The cut under her eye was barely scabbed over though.
She sighed, creating a tiny flame in the dark, sightless room.
Kao noticed Rhea was crying in her sleep and went over, gingerly touching her shoulder.
Pheo blinked when she looked up.
Something was staring at them.
It looked hungry.
It looked mad.
Pheo's glow went up signifigantly.

Koji woke up and noticed Pheo's glow. "What's wrong?"
She pointed.
There was a person staring at them.
And at that point, it dropped on something like a spider web.
Pheo yelped, and fare lashed out form her hands, hitting it.
It lost an arm, but didn't even notice.

The darkness from Koji started up again. He was tired of all these things sneaking up on them.
Pheo continued to burn the thing, which kept advancing on her. She kept moving away from it, but stayed between it and Milai, trying to protect the other girl who she unconsiously thought ot as a sister.
She kept throwing fire at it.

The darkness joined the fire in burning the thing.
"Milai...wake up already..."
The white-hot glow joined them in burning the thing.
"I've been up." she said.
"Thats good." Pheo said, as it vanished. Tehre were strings that fire crawled up.
She was not letting anything else like that get her..
She was terrified.
Sonsidering she was glowing like a lamp, could you blame her?
Especially as it wanted to eat her..

"It's true." Koji chuckled as she threw something at him.
Rhea's dream changed. It was okay for awhile. Then she felt someone touching her shoulder. She woke up and looked at Kao. She sat up and wiped her face mumbling, "I'm sorry."
Kao hugged her. "Don't cry.." He said.
He cared alot for her, he thought of her as a sister almost.
Pheo shrugged. "Then I can try to cheer you up as often as possible."
She wrapped her arms around him, too, and felt more tears form. She thought of Kao as a brother, and that made her miss Wesley even more.
'It's okay to cry kiddo."He said, gently patting her back.
She buried her face in his chest and tried to stop. Even though he was a second Wesley for her didn't mean she could do this. But his soothing hand on her back made the tears come more and more.
Kao just held her. He had had a little sister, once. She had hated him, but she didn't mind crying on his shoulder.
For all his strangeness, he really did have a big heart.
Rhea tried to not think of Wesley. She knew she couldn't stop crying if she did. But the more she didn't think, the more she thought of not thinking, making her think of him again.
Kao decided to cheer her up, and so did what he alwasys did.
He started to tickle her.
Rhea was jolted out of her thoughts by Kao tickling her. She started laughing and soon she was crying because she was laughing so hard.
Kao stopped, grinning at her.
She playfully slapped his shoulder, smiling. Her sides hurt from laughing so hard.
"Yay! you're happy again!"
