((-snuggles- heylo...))
Pheo looked at her. She wanted to be in her human form...
The little bird at least was sitting upright now.
[*snuggles back* Hullo, love! How're you?]
Rhea gently put her back down and stepped back a little so she could change back. Seb was back in his human form, cleaning up his cuts and examining his bruises.
A golden glow swept over her. Then Pheo was sitting there.
she had scratches on her arms and legs, and a bruise was on her throat.
she looked exausted
Seb went over to her and gently picked her up, taking her to her room so he could help her clean up a little.
Pheo didn't fight him.
"I'm sorry." She said softly.
((lonely, only you is on...))
He looked at her and said, "For what?" He gently set her on her bed and began wiping the blood off her.
[Aww. I'm sorry!!]
"You got hurt cause of me." she said quietly. she helped, wincing occasionally.
She was sleepy enough she was focusing on one thing at a time.
He smiled at her and said, "It's okay." He kept cleaning, dabbing it gently with water.
She was cleaned up pretty quickly. She was half asleep by then, using him as a pillow. She was still glowing, scared.
He smiled and put his arms around her, holding her, comforting her.
she relaxed some, halfaware.
she was exausted...
He gently rubbed her arm with his hand and then laid her on the bed, stepping back and leaving her room.
She was asleep instantly.
Erin greeted him, sitting on his shoulder.
is she okay?
He smiled at Erin and said quietly, "Yeah, she's fine."
the pheonix groomed him.
you might want to tell the others.
He nodded and slowly started walking to find Rhea and Thomas.
Erin kept grooming.
It was calming, strangely enough.
He felt almost as if he was melting away under the bird, but he liked the feeling. He found Rhea and Thomas and told them that she'd be fine. Then he asked, "What about that other guy? Would he like to know?"
Kao? No, those two.. don't get along. the bird was nolonger very warm, it was like any other bird.
Seb nodded and said, "Alright." He started back to her room, just to make sure she was alright.
Pheo was curled up, clutching her pilllow. She kept remembering, going back, being an impetuous thirteenyearold again...
He sighed and watched her for a moment, then went and sat on the edge of her bed, gently stroking her back.
It was a good thing he didn't see her face- there wre tears pouring into her pillow.
The stroking calmed her some, slowing the tears, making her relax slightly.
He felt her relax. He smiled a little and kissed her head, not noticing her face. He stood and went to a chair and sat, watching her.
She looked like a little girl, thouh she wasn't one- like she was innocent and peaceful.
He soon drifted off a little. His head stayed up though, just in case.
Pheo woke with a start, sitting up and blinking. She didn't need that dream.. thankfully, she had managed to wake herself up.
He woke when she did. He looked at her and smiled slightly. "Are you feeling better?" He asked softly.
Pheo blinked, taking stock then nodded. "Yes.. thank you.."
She was glowing, enough that you could see everything pretty well. Her face looked clean.
He smiled, then looked down at her pillow. It was a darker shade of red. He sighed, then dismissed it.
She stood up, streching. "You know, you didn't have to sleep in a chair." She said softly.
He stood as well and said, "I wanted to stay in here, and you were occupying the bed." He smiled slightly, then blushed a little.
She blushed too. "There is a window seat, and it is a good deal more comfortable." She said, covering her blush with her cheeks.
He smiled, trying to get the blush to go away. "It's alright."
She cheerfully streched. Her stomach growled, making her blush again.
"I think I'm hungry." She said quietly.
He smiled and said, "This time, let's go to the new kitchen."
"Umm, yeah." Pheo glowed, a bit too bright, then calmed herself down.
He held out his arm for her, ready to protect her again.
She took it, smiling at him shyly.
She had protected him too, in her way.
He smiled back and said, "What would you like?" He started walking.
"food?" She said. "Just a sandwhich call me immature, but I like them!"
He laughed a little and said, "Me, too. What kind do you like?"
"Ham and cheese." She said, smiling.
"Ah. I favour peanut butter and honey."
"I've never tried that. Maybe I should." She said, thinking.
"It's good," he said. They were nearing the kitchen.
"I think I will. and I'll get you to try my second favorite- Peanut butter and banana.." She smiled, giggling a little bit.
He laughed and said, "I love that stuff. Thomas thinks its nasty, but I could live off it."
Pheo laughed as they entered the kitchen. She noticed the fire wat out.
"You know, looks like I can contribute some of my keep." She said, letting him go and going over to it.
He smiled at her, then went to get all of the sandwich stuff they had out.
Pheo started making the sandwhiches, careful not to accidentally burn them when she got startled.
He helped, fixing quite a few. Maybe Thomas or Rhea'd like one. . .
"I think there's enough." Pheo said. They had every kind of sandwhich imaginable. Pheo grabbed a Tunafish salad one, she felt fishy.
"Erin, can you find them?"
Erin fluttered off, smiling.
He watched the bird go and said, "I'd almost forgotten she was on me." He picked up a ham and mayo one and bit into it.
Pheo giggled, nibbilng. "Thats birds fo ryou." She said.
Erin found Rhea.
The smaller ones have made lunch.
She laughed a little. "Smaller ones? Good gosh, Erin, they have names you know." She and Thomas went to the kitchen.
Pheo was ahppily eating a tuna sandwhich, Sitting crosslegged on the counter.
There was an entire pile of sandwhiches.
Erin laughed, grabbing a sandwhichi n her claws and eating it near her mistress.
Rhea laughed again at all the sandwiches there were. "Wow, guys," she said. She took a sandwich and bit into it. Seb was on his second one. Thomas just watched. He wasn't hungry.
"you need to eat." Pheo ordered Thomas, hopping down and thruating a pbj sandwich into his hands
He raised his eyebrows and said, "Yes, ma'am." He started eating it.
Pheo smiled triumphantly, sitting next to Sebastian again.
Seb smiled at her. Rhea giggled a little and Thomas finished the sandwich halfway. "Is that enough?" He asked.
"No." Pheo glared at him.
Kao wandered in and took a sandwhich. He looked funny. But that was normal.
Rhea smiled at Kao and said, "Where've you been?" Thomas rolled his eyes and kept eating.
[Is Kao okay alone?]
((Yeah.. hes there if I have an evil fit and wanna kill someone.))
"Aroud." He ate, sitting AWAY from Pheo.
Pheo got up. She went over to te fire and her eyes widened.
It burst into life, and she smiled, grabbing another sandwhich. She was hungry..
[Haha. Yay!!]
Rhea nodded and took another sandwich. Thomas finished the one Pheo gave him and said, "There."
Pheo smirked. "If you want I can make dinner." She said softly. "I can make stew, it'll take a while to cook."
Seb said, "That'd be nice."
Pheo got up and started getting ingredients, geting a big pot.
He watched and said, "Do you need help with anything?"
"Could you cut up the vegtables?" She asked, putting carrots, onions, and potatoes on a cutting board.
Kao escaped, anything but cooking.
Seb nodded and went to cut them. Rhea and Thomas went and sat down at the small table, watching them.
Pheo was humming, chopping up meat and seasonings, waiting for the water to heat.
He finished and pushed them over to her.
She took them, then added everything. "And now we.. wait." she perched on the counter again.
"Fun," said Seb. He leaned on it next to her.
Pheo pursed her lips, thinking.
He looked at her and said, "Can't you speed it up and heat it up?"
"I could, but then it doesn't taste as good." She explained.
"Ah," he said, going back to watching it.
Pheo played with fiery shapes. She made faces, mostly people none but her knew. One face kept coming back, it was a girl with a mohawk, laughing.
He looked at the shapes and said, "Who's that?" It was the mohawk girl.
"Erika. She was my best friend, before. Like.. a big sister." She said softly.
He looked at her and said, "Did she not make it?"
"she died.. before before." She said softly.
Abruptly she stood, wlaking out of the kitchen, needing to breathe. The ste would take at least an hour to cook after all.
Erin sighed.
He sighed. Rhea and Thomas watched her go. Rhea stood and followed her.
Erin cooed n Sebastians ear and groomed him calmly.
Pheo went to the library, following the sense of lights in her mind.
Rhea kept following her, not saying anything until she settled down. Seb smiled at Erin and then said, "I didn't mean to do that. . . "
It isn't your fault- there was a reason she knew that man. He killed that girl, and other people she knew too. Erin was sad seeming.
Pheo curled up on a small chair, staring at the fire. It was sputtering, sad, down to the embers, reflecting how she felt.
"Oh," he said softly.
Rhea went over to her and gently moved her over, sitting next to her. She put her arms around her and just held her.
Pheo tried not to cry, leaning on Rhea.
Erin groomed him.
She silently comforted her, gently rocking back and forth, stroking her back.
He sighed and said, "You and Thor'd be good friends. He likes to groom, too."
Pheo managed to keep the tears hidden, keep them away. After a time, she relaxed some, calming down.
Erin giggled.
She looked down at her.
He smiled at the bird.
Pheo looked calmnow, scrubbing at her face some. "Sorry." She said quietly.
Erin hopped down his arm to perch on his hand.
She smiled and said, "It's alright."
He stroked the bird gently.
The pheonix twittered a little bit, like an ordinary bird.
Pheo looked down still. "I ought to go tell Sebastian I'm sorry." She said quietly.
He kept doing it. It made him relax.
She nodded and said, "Okay." She let go of her.
"Thank you sister." Pheo hugged her tightly, before getting up and slipping out of the room.
Erin smiled. Shes coming back the bird said to both males, hoping off Sebastian and fluttering out the window.
She smiled and leaned back in the chair, a little tired. Sebastian watched Erin go, then looked over at Pheo. Thomas stood and left to find Rhea.
Pheo slipped in like some sort of glowing shadow.
"Um.. I'm sorry." She said quietly, the fire under the soup looking afraid.
He smiled at her and said, "It's fine. I didn't mean to bring it up."
Pheo blinked, nervously running a hand through her hair.
"Still- I need to learn not to freak out like that."
He took her hand and kissed it lightly. "Really, it's okay."
She blushed. "Okay." She said, perching on the counter again. the fire was still uncrtain, but went back to keeping the soup simmering.
He smiled and said, "Where's that cat that was with you guys?"
"I don't like the kitty, it tried to eat me." She said, wincing. "I'm not food!"
He chuckled and said, "Okay."
Then, Thomas's cat came in the room. It looked at Pheo and meowed.
"I'm not food." Shes aid, getting some beef and putting it on the bowl, putting it on the floor for it.
The cat grinned at her, it seemed, and licked the beef, then ate it. Seb said, "Dutchess tried to eat you? I thought you meant that small cat that came with you guys." Dutchess sat down and began grooming herself.
"The really big cat- and trust me, in bird form I suppose I look edible. But still!"
He laughed. Duke, the large cat, came in the room and meowed for some beef of his own.
Pheo obeyed.
"Don't eat me!" She informed him.
Duke meowed at her and Sebastian said, "Don't worry. He's really a big weenie."
she put the food down and sat next to Seb
Impulsively, he put an arm around her and said, "Duke, she's mine. You have Dutchess to pick on."
Pheo blushed, but smiled at him.
Duke seemed to roll his eyes as he finished his beef and began grooming himself.
Pheo crossed her legs on the counter carefully, so he wasn't tempted.
Then the two cats left. Sebastian put his arm back in his lap.
Pheo smiled at him, sweet as sugar.
He blushed slightly and then looked back at the stew. "When's that going to be done?"
"Fifteen minutes." She replied.
He groaned and said, "Dang it."
"What?" She asked. "WHy?"
"I'm hungry now . . . " The cats had gotten in earlier and eaten all the good sandwiches.
Pheo giggled. "Here." She handed him a carrot.
Pheo smiled, nibbling on one as well.
The kitchen, and whole house, smelled lovely from the stew.
Rhea sat up and stood, seeing Thomas outside. She went out with him and waited on the stew. Seb finsihed the carrot.
"It's done." Pheo hopped downa nd grabbed a ladel, spooning the stew into four bowls. the ladel was very hot to the touch.
He smiled and said, "Finally! I'll get the other two." He slid off the counter and went outside to get them.
Pheo sat down with her bowl, thinking.
He came back in with Rhea and Thomas. They all grabbed bowls and went to sit down with Pheo.
Pheo carefully ate hers, neat.
She looked like a little bird or mouse, almost, the way she ate.
He chuckled and said, "Cute." Rhea and Thomas looked over at her and nodded, smiling.
"What's cute?" Pheo asked.
Kao came in, looking bedraggled. The sound of thunder explained why.
Pheo touched him, andhis clothes started steaming as she went to get him stew.
He looked over at Kao and then said, "The way you eat."
Kao took it greatuflly.
"It isn't cute, it's just eating." She set her empty bowl in the sink.
He shrugged and said, "I think it's cute." Rhea and Thomas nodded. "Yeah, Pheo it is kind of different. It's neat, like you," Thomas said.
"Being messy is rather pointless."
"Bah, I like it." Kao put in his two cents.
Pheo rolled her eyes, starting to do the dishes.
Seb went over with his, Rhea's and Thomas's bowls and said, "Here, let me help." He started helping her without her saying anything.
She smiled. She was up to her elbows in warm, soapy water.
Kao wathed, yawning slightly.
Rhea said, "Well, we're getting tired and it's getting late. When you two are done, go to bed." She and Thomas left.
"Yes sister." Pheo said, humming softly under her breath.
Seb smiled and said, "Wish I had a sister. She seems really nice."
"She's technically not my sister.. She just seems like one to me." She said, shrugging. "I never hand one, before.
He smiled as they finished the dishes. "Well, it's still nice, right?"
"Yeah." She said, eyes distant.
He grabbed a towel and dried his hands off, then handed it to her. "Hey. You okay?" He asked when she didn't take it.
Seh blinked, shaking ehrself. "Sorry. Just thinkng." She tookit, drying her hand.s
"Okay," he said. He started heading back to their rooms, waiting for her at the foot of the stairs.
She followed after a second, draining the water.
[I thought you said you were going to bed, silly goose. ^__^]
He held out his arm for her, smiling warmly.
((I thought I would give you oooone more reply))
she took it, smiling at him.
[Heehee. ^__^]
He started walking her back to her room.
Pheo smiled, sleepyish.
Her glow was gone, leaving only the lamps.
They got to her door. He turned and looked at her, glad the lamps weren't that bright so she couldn't see his slight nervousness. He leaned in and kissed her cheek. "Goodnight Pheo," he said, then he turned and went into his room.
Pheo blushed, then slipped into her room, a happy smile on her face. She curled up, hugging her pillow and smiling wider than anyone had seen her smile in a long time.
He laid on his bed, staring at the ceiling, a huge grin on his face. He chuckled slightly and leaned over, clicking his lamp off and laying there in the dark, still thinking of her.
As pheo fell asleep, she smiled- maybe she would fall in love, and this time, not loose someone..
He drifted off, hoping that she wouldn't be mad at him tomorrow for doing that.
Pheo silently smiled, slipping into sleep gracefully.
[ Can we do a time skip? ]
((Yeah.))
It was morning, and Pheo rolled out of bed, yawning. She pulled on her clothes and slipped out of her rooms to go make breakfast.
Sebastian took a little longer to wake up, but he did finally, sliding out of bed and rubbing his eyes, heading to the kitchen.
the sound of soft humming, Pheo's voice, was audible in the hallway.
Pheo was making french toast- she was in a really good mood.
Seb walked in and said, "Oh, hi." He went over to her and said, "Smells good."
"Thank you" She said, smiling at him sweetly.
He smiled at her and cleared off a spot for himself on the counter, jumping up and sitting on it.
She was flipping the toast, humming, a smile on her face.
He looked at her and smiled. "Why so happy?" He had kind of forgotten what he did last night, he was a little forgetful.
Pheo shot him a 'don't-you-remember?!' kinda look.
He sat there for a little while, thinking. "Oh! Right!" He grinned and said, "Oh, yeah. You're not mad about that or anything?"
"No!" She said, blushing madly.
Dumbarse, I like you... she thought, pretending to suddenly be very absorbed in sprinkling cinnamon on the toast.
He grinned at her blush and slid off the counter going up behind her and whispering, "It's okay if you like me. I like you, too."
She blushed hard again, then smiled. "I-i'm glad.." She said softly, looking down, though she coulden't see him.
He grinned and jumped back on the counter. Rhea and Thomas came in, still half asleep.
Pheo was smiling like the cat who stole the cream as she gave them some, bringing a plate over to sebastian and making her own.
They went and sat at the table, slowly eating. Sebastian smiled at her and started eating his as well, still on the counter.
Pheo ate hers as she cleaned up the kitchen.
He stopped her and said, "Let me. You've done enough."
"But..." She protested. "I got it dirty, so I should clean it up.."
He shook his head. "Nope. You go sit down. I'll do it."
"... fine.." She surrendered, sitting next to Rhea.
Rhea smiled at her. "This is good. We're lucky you can cook," Thomas said, "or otherwise, we'd all be having cereal." Sebastian started cleaning up. "That's the truth," he said.
She blushed slightly. "thank you."
Rhea smiled at her and then said to Thomas, "So, what're we going to do today?"
Thomas shrugged and said, "I really have no clue. Seb, have any ideas?" He was done cleaning, sitting back on the counter with his empty plate. "Nah. You're the oldest. You're supposed to know these things."
Pheo thought. "go read in the library?" She suggested.
Seb nodded and said, "That'd be nice."
Pheo hopped down and headed there, smiling.
Seb followed, then Rhea and Thomas.
Pheo found a book quickly- she curled up on the sofa to read it.
Seb searched for a book in their mystery section. Rhea and Thomas both found their own books in the adventure. Seb went over to Pheo and sat next to her, starting his book.
Pheo smiled at him. She was reading The Count of Monte Cristo- it was rather good in her opinion.
Rhea and Thomas went to a corner and started reading and debating about who's book was better. Seb chuckled and said, "You like that book?"
Pheo nodded. "It's a good story." Seh said quietly.
He nodded and said, "I'll have to read it sometime, then." He smiled and started reading his.
Pheo smiled, going back to her book.
Rhea called over, "Pheo! Which is better: ninjas or knights?"
"Knights..." She said, blinking. "Why?"
Rhea turned to Thomas and said, "Ha! Told you!" Thomas shook his head and said, "No, ninja's are better! They're like shadows!" Rhea laughed and said, "Yes, but the phrase is, 'Knight in shining armour' not 'ninja in black spandex.'"
"Just a note, but Spandex is NOt fun.." Pheo said, not looking up from her book
Thomas laughed and said, "I know."
Pheo went back to reading, well, looking like it. In reality, she was thinking about some things.
Seb and Rhea rolled their eyes and went back to reading. Thomas whispered to Rhea, "Ninjas."
Pheo thought/read, soon she was back to reading.
Seb looked up after a while and laughed a little.
Pheo was biting her lip, reading still.
"We've been at this for over an hour already. Wow," he said, chuckling, looking back down at his book.
Pheo smiled. "Time flies when your having fun." She said.
He nodded and said, "Sure does."
Pheo smiled, glancing at the adults.
Rhea was deeply engrossed in the book and Thomas was half asleep.
Pheo hugged Seb, she just really wanted to.
He looked a little surprised at first, then hugged her back.
Pheo smiled, then let go, picking up her book.
"You looked lonly." She whispered.
He smiled back and said, "I kind of am."
He shrugged and said, "I dunno. I just am."
"But I don't want you to be lonely." Pheo said.
He smiled at her and said, "I don't want to be lonely anymore, either."
Pheo smiled. "Well, then how can I make you not lonely?"
He smiled and leaned over and kissed her lips softly. Rhea and Thomas weren't paying attention; Rhea still deep in the book and Thomas now muttering in his sleep.
Pheo blushed, kissing back.
He moved his hand to the back of her head and deepened the kiss a little.
Pheo kissed back, she really did like him a lot.
He smiled at her and pulled back a little. "Let's go somewhere else," he whispered.
Pheo nodded, putting her book down and standing.
((Night)
[T_T Nooooooooooo!!!!!!]
He stood and put his arm around her waist, following her.
((I back, but you gone...))
She smiled, not minding.
[Nope. 'Tis the opposite.]
He said, normally when they were out of the library, "Where to?"
((AH! WE'RE PLAYING POST TAG!))
Pheo shrugged. "Up to you."
[You're it! XD]
He smiled and said, "Your room?"
"Okay." Pheo said, turning in that direction.
He followed her, his arm still loosely around her waist.
Pheo didn't mind- she was smiling. soon they were near her room.
He opened the door for her and smiled brightly.
Pheo smiled back as thy went in. "Thank you.
"Anytime," he replied, shutting the door. He went over to her bed, gently taking her hand and leading her over, too. He sat down and pulled her close, arms around her waist. He kissed her again.
Pheo had overbalanced and was sitting on his lap, but she kissed, back, she really loved him.
He smiled slightly under the kiss and just held her close. She was cute, funny, sweet, and he liked her a lot. A lot, a lot.
Pheo trusted Seb- he cared about her for who she was and because she was herself, not because she was a singer or somthing.
[Will you join my family, sis?]
He deepened the kiss as before and slowly started pulling her down on top of him.
