Tifani wondered down the streets of Central while her pet, Kainea, changed into her human form at her dorm, so no one saw her. Suddenly, a storm came rolling in, quickly.

The storm clouds were coming swiftly, and James was walking slowly along, Maya sitting on his shoulder. She was beginning to get a bit flustered, and that usually meant a downpour. He began to pick up the pace a bit and pet Maya's head with his forefinger. "Don't worry, girl. We'll be home in a jiffy." he said softly. She calmed down at the words.

amelia noticed the storm that started outside."father don't you think you should take a break and head home?"she said to roy.

A rain drop fell. And another. Soon, rain was pouring throughout the streets. Tifani sighed and put up her hood, jogging to HQ.

Kainea cryed out when the rain began to pour and sprinted back to the dorm.

"*sighs*i'm afriad i need to work abit more amelia."said roy.amelia nodded at him then looked back outside."hm?"she noticed somone running this way."father,i think someone is running here."roy paused in his work.he got up and walked up till he was next to her.

As James stepped through the threshold of Central Headquarters, the rain began to fall. "See, Maya? I told we'd get here before the rain came." he said, smiling at his shoulder. The small dove whistled merrily at him and he laughed. "Well, time to find Colonel Mustang. He'll have my head if I'm late again." he said, whistling all the way through the halls.

"hm?maybe it's james."roy said to amelia.amelia then walked over to the couch.there asleep was kyuubi and kirara.

"Dang, Mustang! You were supposed to meet me at the park at three! Its nine now!" tifani said, busting in, drenched. Kainea(Kain) hopped in after her, shaking herself dry. "Master? Where were you?" She asked, innocently.

[Snipe]

James found the door to Mustang's office and walked in. Pulling a smart salute, he said, "Sir, James Zuus reporting. I apologize for being late sir." he said, pulling his hand to his side. He looked over to Amelia ,smiled, and winked, Maya whistling over to her. He smiled over to Tifani, mouthing 'Hi.'

Kainea hissed at something. Tifani turned to see another girl. "oh, im sorry! Im Tifani Sens, the Demon Alchemist!"

"Oh, hi, James." Tifani said, noticing him come in.

Tifani bowed to the girl and sprinted to the train station in the now pouring, sweet sented rain, Kainea in tow.

"oh my!you're soaked to the bone!please hold on."amelia ran out.she came back with towels."here.it's not much..."she said giving them towels to dry off.kyuubi and kirara had woken up and were each on one of amelia's shoulder.

Walked over to Amelia and smiled. "Thanks. He decided not to go home today again?" he asked with a friendly smile. He began to dry off with the towel she had given him.

Tifani tripped on a rock and fell flat on her face. "Miss, are you okay?" A boys voice asked. "Sure." She said, looking at the...(is Al in a suit of armor or in his real body?) and the boy standing next to him. "Hey, i'm Ed." The other boy said, offering her a hand. "and i'm Al." the other boy said. "Tifani. This is Kainea." She said, taking his hand and allowing him to help her up.

kloud was wearing a blue cloak and her hood had fallen off showing bruises and cuts all over her face and her eyes were showing that she was terrified and she ran into ed and fell but before she hit the ground she stuck her arms out and did a hald back flip and landed on her butt instead of her head "ow.." she looked at him "I'm really terribly sorry I-I didn't mean to run into you"

amelia smiled back and said,"afraid so."she then turned to roy."father you really need to take a day off!"he looked at her confused.

Ed smiled and said, "S'kay. You ok?" He helped the girl who ran into him up.

kloud looked at tifani the shakingly stood up and whiped some blood off of her forehead "again I'm sorry but I really need to go" three men started to appear from behind a corner shouting stuff and kloud froze and looked at tifani then ed then al then the two girls then the men "um sorry but I should go you wouldn't want to get mixed up with them their not nice people"

"I think I can handle them."Tifani said, touching the ground. A Cage shot up aroud the bad people and she grabbed Kloud, pulling her by ed and al.

"Y'know, she might be right, Colonel. You have been working awfully hard lately." he said. Maya moved up to his head and began to peck at him lightly. "What is it, Maya? I need my head for more than just a roost y'know?" he said, smiling and looking up, one eye closed in a wince.

"i mean seriously!when was the last time you had a day off?"amelia asked worried about her fathers' health.

"Ed, keep her safe. By the way, I'm Tifani. This is May, Silence, Kainea, Ed, and Al." Tifani said, pointing to each one without taking her eyes off the bad guys.

kloud blinked shocked and confused and she watched her use alchemy "why are you helping me? you don't even know me or why they were after me" her left hand coverd her right wich was in a black glove to cover up her humunculi mark even if it was only half of one if anyone who worked for the military saw it she was afraid they'd try and attack her

"Because, I know theres some good in everybody. And nobody deserves to be alone." Tifani glanced back and smiled. She used alchemy and a phone came from the ground. "Can I please speak to Mustang?"

[Snipe]

Maya kept pecking at him, but he couldn't remember what it was that she was pecking him about. He took some seed from his pocket and held them up to her, but it didn't qualm her pecking. Finally, a gear clicked in his mind and he thought of the report. "Sir, I do have some urgent business to tell you about."

the men stopped and one of them walked to the edge of the cage "all we want is the girl with pink and purple hair she's not like us she's not normal she's-" a black cloth appeared on his mouth and kloud stepped beside tifani her hands raised glaring at him "shut up! and leave me alone so what if I'm different! so what if I can use alchemy without a circle so what if I'm as you put it different from you or them have you ever thought that I hated being me because of it because of who and what I am? so just leave me alone!!!!" the man started to sink into the cement as she became even more mad with him

"what is it?"roy asked.

"Stop! Murder will not make you better than him. I use alchemy without a circle. Heck, thats how I got into the military. We're simualr. The same, yet different. Everyone is." Tifani said, her eyes full of determination.

"Roy, we caught a few guys. We need you to bring a car."

"right.i'll snd riza on it right away."roy said,he then hung up the phone.

kloud snapped out of her anger and fell on her knees and the man stopped sinking and rose back up on his feet and she began to cry "I'm s-s-sorry I didn't mean to I was just so mad and upset I didn't want to hurt anyone"

Maya flew back to her roost on his shoulder as he said, "Sir, there are reports of people who are using some strange powers around here. And they're.... not using alchemy." he said, trying to make it sound a bit better than what it did to him. People were beginning to fear that homonculi were on the loose.

"i see."roy said in a motone voice.although he didn't show it he was worried the homonculi may try to capture amelia once more to use her angelic powers.

Tifani put a hand on Kloud's shoulder. "Hey, cheer up! It's okay. Whats your name?"

kloud tore some of her cloak and wrapped it around her hands after taking the glove off and hidding her mark she wrapped it in the blue cloth and put the glove back on and stood to clean some of her wounds kloud looked at her and whiped some tears away "it's kloud....I don't have a last name though" "wait you said roy mustang? the roy who is in the military? or a different roy?"

"well, Kloud. How about you come with me to my dorm and i'll help with your wounds? You can borrow some of my clothes while I fix and wash yours, theyre all torn!" She suggested, pulling on Klouds arm. May, Silence, Ed, Al, and Kainea nodded in agreement.

He looked over the Colonel's face a bit, then smiled a bit. "Colonel if you want, I can keep an eye on Amelia for you. Just think of it as a small friendly favor." he said, looking over to Amelia. "That is, if Amelia thinks that would be okay."

kloud blinked confused but nodded "it would give me a chance to get away from them and maybe she won't attack me she is in the military but you never know" then two small wolf pups came running up growling and kloud laughed and bent down to pick them up and they jumped in her arms but they continued to growl at tifani and the others "koru sayu it's ok their friends" the pups stopped growling and wagged their tail and kloud smiled

amelia blinked,then smiled,"that would be vey kind of you.but i wouldn't want to cause any trouble."she said worried.kyuubi and kirara knudged her alittle.

"Please? I'll fix some dinner and tea and you can stay as long as you want." She was practiclly begging Kloud.

kloud smiled "sure yeah ok that be great just one thing...." she paused she didn't want to sound rude or ungrateful but if she was asked then she'd tell

"Don't worry, no trouble at all. We'll have a ton of fun, right Maya?" he asked, and Maya whistled her agreement. "See. We were about to go for a walk in the park, and I brought my umbrella. We'll go for a small walk, then out to eat and ice cream." he said.

Tifani smiled encouragly.

"well um I don't really want you or anyone else to see what's on my right hand people have before and they've attacked me for it even though it's not a full mark" her right hand closed then opened and she winced in pain it hurt since there were cuts all over it but she didn't want to be attacked again "unless it was an emergancy like I was about to die from like blood lose or something then that would be fine"

"well alright if you're sure.but may kyuubi and kirara came?"she asked with a smile.

"Don't worry. I won't let anything bad become of you. Your my friend now." Tifani smiled and led eveyone to her house, tierdly.

kloud followed still holding koru and sayu who had fallen asleep "friend? does she really mean that I guess I should test her to see" kloud sleepily yawned "tifani I want to show you something on my right hand and if you truely mean what you said about me being your friend you won't hate me for it"

"Of course, as long as they'll get along with Maya. And you're father says it's alright for you to come." he said, smiling at her like a brother. "Maya would like someone new to hang onto anyways. She seems to tire of me sometimes." he said, and put his finger up to her. Maya nibbled it gently and whistled angrily in his ear.

"hm.i'm not sure."roy said going into protetive father mode."what if they try to attack while her gaurd is down?"roy thought worried."what if he trys something on my baby girl!?!"roy thought upset."please father,you never let me out in the rain anymore.and you know how much i love it."amelia said looking at her father with innocent blue eyes.he sighs and says."very well,but....."he was suddenly infront of james,"if you try anything on my daughter you will regret it."he said very eriely(sp).he said so only he could hear."well you two run along and come back safely."

James became very nervous. "D-don't worry sir. I won't put a finger on her. And she'll be safe under my watch. There's no need to worry." he said. Turning to Amelia, he extended his hand towards the door. "Are you ready, Amelia?"

kloud freed her right hand and with her teeth removed her glove then removed the cloth revealing a red half humunculi mark and kloud looked sadly at the ground "those men wanted me because I have humunculi blood in me but they don't understand it's not my fault my mother was a humunculi who fell in love with my father"

amelia smiled and nodded while taking his offering hand,"good bye father!we'll see you soon."she said as they walked."alright take care.and james don't forget my advice."roy yelled."what advice?"she asked while innocently looking up at james.

"I understand. Its not yours or your mother's fault. She can't help who she falls in love with and neither can your father. Thats what matters!" Tifani grinned and through her arm around Kloud's shoulders.

When they reached Tifani's dorm, she unlocked it with her silver, spakly key. The house smelled like chocolate and marshmellows, her faveorite. James smiled at the sight of such a happy girl. he dropped the umbrella and ran right over to her, dancing and spinning with her. "I don't get this kind of chance every day." he laughed, Maya flying above their heads. "Being in the military is so stuffy."

amelia laughed joyfully,"i just wish my father could be as carefree."she said while twirling around abit more.unaware of the watching,wanting,eyes.

"Well, the Colonel has always been a bit stuffy. But, maybe he'll loosen up one day. You just have a lot of fun right now, for him." he said, winking at her.

"ok,if it will make him happy."amelia said with a soft smile.but then her smile was wiped away when she sensed something,or someone,near by.she turned around searching for who it could be.kyuubi and kirara growled threatenly,with their fur sticking up.

He noticed the feeling flowing through him. Maya landed on his shoulder and nibbled his ear nervously. "Amelia, get behind me. And bring Kyuubi and Kirara." he said, a serious face settling. He brought his hand to his right eye and watched with his left.

amelia listened to him but kyuubi and kirara transformed into bigger forms to protect her.relizing it was spotted,out walked envy from the shadows.he smirked.

[Snipe]

James smirked back. "What may I do for you, sir?" he asked politely, his hand never leaving his eye. He shifted his shoulder, and Maya flew over to Amelia, landing on her head.

amelia looked absolutely terrified at envy.envy smirked when he saw amelia,"i see you remember me."she began to tremble a little.she remembered him alright,she remember what he tried to do to her.

[Snipe]

Bringing his hand away from his eye, he struck the ground with it. A pillar of rock rose from under Amelia, Kyuubi, Kirara, and Maya. They rose about twenty feet into the air, and guard rails surrounded it so no one would fall. "I believe she was dancing with me, and it's rude to cut in." he said, a flash coming from his right eye.

"oh,i'm sorry,let me make it up to you!"he yelled as he attacked james.amelia couldn't bear to watch.

[Snipe]

James dodged to the side and brought his right hand to his eye again. Another flash was emitted from his eye, and he pulled back his shirt sleeve. There was a bracelet made of onyx stones. He gripped them and theyformed a black flamburge. "Well, I can't say that your apology is accepted, but a gentleman should always forgive and forget. If you leave now, I'll do just that." he said, pointing the sword right at him.

"i'm afraid i can't do that.the boss wants her and i plan to finish what i started."envy said with a twisted smirk,while attacking again.

[Snipe]

"That's too bad. Looks like the young lady will have to see my mean side." he said. He jerked the flamburge around and struck Envy's forearm, then brought it across his jugular vein in his neck. He hopped around him and smiled toward the bleeding form. "I'm not going to fall for any tricks, either. I know what you are." he said. Maya began to whistle angrily down at the fighting pair.

"then you know i can't feel pain.so it's useless!"he yelled as he jumped up to where amelia was.

[Snipe]

James jumped after him, slashing the bottom of his foot and right up the bone, shaving the meat away to buy some time. His hand met his eye again, and the pillar grew. "Amelia, are you guys safe?" he called.

"yes."amelia called back.envy growled annoyed,"stay out of this!it's none of your business."envy yelled as he attacked once again.what amelia and james didn't know were the people coming up behind amelia.she was so caught up in the fight she wasn't able to do anything when she was suddenly snatched up from behind.a hand covered her mouth.kyuubi and kirara took notice and attacked.

[Snipe]

"What is it? What's going on?" he yelled, running around to where he could see the fight. Something was happening with more people around the other side. He slapped the ground, causing angry spikes to jut from the sides of the pillar. They stabbed the people on the side of the pillar, and they fell to the ground. Spikes covered the sides of the stone face, preventing any climbing attacks. Suddenly, there was a pain in his back that forced him to the ground. Envy had landed a punch in the small of his back that sent him flying forward.

amelia was about to help him but she then felt a sharp pain in the neck,and then was knocked out.envy jumped up to where lust and gluttony were.he took amelia and drapped her over his shoulder.he looked back and smirked,"thanks for the delivery."he,lust,and gluttony then jumped away.

[Snipe]

"No." he yelled. He watched Kyuubi and Kirara run after them, and ran with them, Maya flying in the air ahead, trying to follow the homonculi. "Hey, try to follow her by scent, if you can." he told the two. 'If he hurts a hair on her head, I'll take the meat from every bone on his body, and tie his human remains to the skeleton.' he thought. The sword returned to it's former state and he slid it back onto his left arm.

kirara slowed down till she was at james' side and picked him up,so now he was on her back.that way her and kyuubi could travel faster.

[Snipe]

Something flew into the air and struck Maya, sending back down to earth. "Maya!" James yelled, jumping from Kirara's shoulders, put on a burst of speed,and caught her. A long needle stuck through her breast. James pulled it out slowly, then listened for a heartbeat. It was small, but there. He began running again, while wrapping up her wounds. He placed her in his pocket to keep her safe and began on the trail again. "You will all pay with your lives. NEVER HURT MY FRIENDS!!!" he roared, running ahead of them all.

when amelia woke up she saw she was tied to a chair.her hands were tied together behind her and her feet as well."i see you're awake."envy walked out from the shadows once more and walked infront of her.

[Snipe]

James hopped back onto Kirara and yelled, "C'mon. Full speed, we need to find her as fast as possible." They sped forward into the blackness of the city.

"so you going to be a good little girl and do as you're told or cause trouble?"he said as he cupped her face."i'll never help you."she said stubbornly."fine.have it your way."he snapped his fingers,amelia then felt pain all over her body.when envy snapped bolts of lighting were coursed threw her body.she screamed in pain.

[Snipe]

"Did you hear that?" James asked, then pointed to a small bar on the inside of a tunnel. "In there. Let's go."

amelia panted,she had been shocked four times.and although she was in great pain,she stood strong."i must admit i'm not sure if you're brave or foolish?"envy said to her.

[Snipe]

A huge stone spearhead flew through the door and pierced through Envy's midsection, pegging him to the far wall. James ran in and grabbed Amelia. "Are you okay?" he asked, turning and putting his hand to his eye again. He put his hand on the ground and made a large stone wall between the two groups. He took a peice of stone and alchemized a sharp point to it. He used it to cut all the ropes. "Let's go. Kirara and Kyuubi can get us away more quickly than I could. C'mon." he said, putting her on Kyuubi's shoulders. "Sorry Kirara, but I need you're help once more." he said as he hopped on.

once amelia was put onto kyuubi's body she passed out from pain.kyuubi rushed out,but was careful to keep amelia safe.

They rushed right off, to the edge of Central. When they finally got to the most densely populated part of town, James got off of Kirara and went to an inn. "I would like to buy a room for a few nights. Me and a guest." When he said this, Kirara and Kyuubi turned into their animal forms. James picked up Amelia bridal style and smiled at the inn manager. She looked on with wide eyes, but pretended like nothing had happened. I'm possitive they'll let you in because i'm going to recommend you." Tifani said, smiling.
