The Digital Accident Tactics Squad (or "DATS") is a government organization that tracks the movement of renegade Digimon between the Real World and the Digital World. Their job is to monitor the barrier dividing the two worlds and to make sure common citizens do not discover the existence of Digimon. From their headquarters, Commander Satsuma and his two assistants constantly watch the different "sectors" of the city for electromagnetic disturbances - a sign of Digimon activity.
When a Digimon is detected, a team is set out to take care of the issue. The team utilizes their tame partner Digimon to swiftly defeat the renegade attackers. Using a device called a "Digivice iC," they can store their Digimon until it is neccessary to deploy them. The renegade Digimon become "Digi-tama" (Digi-eggs) after being defeated, and these Digi-tama are sent back to the Digital World.

It is rare for a Digimon to enter the Real World as a Digitama. However, if it does, it befriends the first human it comes into contact with after hatching. All the Digimon that work at DATS, including the Digimon Savers team's digimon, were born this way.

The DATS team utilizes an ear-piece communicator to receive the latest alerts from the headquarters. This allows quick response in emergency situations.

In addition, they have a special machine to erase the memories of those who have come in contact with Digimon This prevents mass panic that could result from such sightings.

The Digital Dimensional Wall has been deteriorating rapidly over the last few years, allowing more Digimon to enter the Real World. The Digimon assist in crimes powered by the human emotions of pride, greed, lust, envy, laziness, lust, and anger. It is unknown what force drives the Digimon to behave in this way. Unless DATS can find the answer quickly, the Real World will soon become dominated by swarms of destructive Digimon.

A machine known as the "Digital Dive" is a transport chamber that is usually used to send the Digitama of renegade Digimon back to the Digital World. Normally, the transportation of humans is strictly forbidden. However, the Digimon Savers decide to transport themselves in order to investigate the Digital World and find the source of recent problems. It is said that Professor Masaru once went to the Digital World with a group of researchers and never returned. His son, Daimon Masaru is determined to find and rescue his father. The Digital World is a dangerous place filled with Digimon who despise humans.

Sarrina nodded, taking Coronamon from Koru, and ran to the medics. Sarrina looked like she was going to cry all the way.
"I hope she'll be alright..." Sarrina wispered as the medics took Coronamon form her.
Shippoamon stayed with Koru just in case another digimon popped up.
