What do you like in roleplays?

I`m going to be crafting a new rp, but, I`d like to know what ya`ll like, so, i may craft it all into one rp. ^_^

So... I need suggestions... So far I want in this rp is:

Wizards.
Horror.

Detailed characters (very hard to ask from other users that join though)
Literacy (half the advanced RPs aren't holding up to standard)
And not so many people(characters) that one gets lost even if you were only off for an hour.

I don't care particularly for what its about. Its just gotta be interesting and well thought out. :D

Yeah, so do I. But its hard to inforce sometimes, because they'll just either ignore you or start bi.tching.

Like disorders? All my character sheets have disorders, diseases, etc... but thats mainly because of my character Tom. He's one screwed up kid. *mutters: A schizo and he has cancer*

Lol, let me tell you, you should check out neopets! One time, most of the characters there HAD atleast 2-3 problems, mentally and physiscally.

However, I don`t think THAT should be forced though, you may not have disorders, or "dieses" and you STILL won`t be perfect, you could have like a sad child hood, but, thats common upon rp characters.

Plus there are some people who already have problems, and we like to pretend that we live in a world where those things aren`t mentioned, or they don`t hold us back.

Okay, I like magical things, wizards and the supernatural and so forth. Fantasy in general, really. It doesn't matter what kind; could be traditional sword and sorcery, contemporary urban, or anything in between. I'm fond of political intrigue, but it's not crucial. Social stuff is a biggie, though. There HAS to be good character development. I personally would expect reasonably detailed profiles, and people to adhere to them and make an effort to play their characters consistently. I enjoy a good romance- bit of a magnet for it, actually- but it's not a requirement. I can have just as much fun without one. For written/online roleplays, I also find my experience is greatly enhanced by the enforced expectation of literate communication.... Yeah, I'm kind of picky. But these are ideals, not always what is strictly adhered to. I'll let you know if I think of anything else.

[Multi-Facets]

I like action, a little mystery, wisecracks, some romance, unconventional plots, literacy, fantasy and sci-fi, erotica, homosexual/lesbian relations, polyamory, darkness, gore, stuff like that.

So in a way, I guess I like a little of everything.

I tend to look for rps that don't have ten billion others joining, that way it's a little easier when you come back the next day (and people have gone 200 pages ahead), it's easier to ask 'What'd I miss?' then leaving completely.

Also, romance, mystery, fantasy, supernatural, lieratcy and action rps I like.
