Rose stiffened as she was bought. She had refused eating the little bit of gruel the people called food, she had tried to break free and make a run for it- only to be caught a while after, from collapsing of fatigue and starvation-, and she hated everything at this point...

He held her hand when they were going to his mansion he said"You have to eat if your going to work for me."he walked inside and showed her her room it was big it had a queen sized bed a lot of jewelery a lot of other thing to.he said"i'll make them send you some food"then he went to his room.

Rose, gingerly, walked over to the queen-sized bed and sat down on it. 'This is really weird, I thought I was supposed to be a slave.. But I'm not complaining, this room is awesome.' she thought to herself as she looked around.

There was a knock on the door and Rose got up, there was a woman quite a bit older than her carrying two trays of food. The woman brought it in and placed it on a table before scurrying out, Rose had noticed she was wearing a really nice dress- and was wondering if she was a slave too.

Rose quickly ate the food, because she was so hungry, not stopping to think that there was a possibility it was poisoned.

After finishing eating both trays of food, Rose became extremely tired. She fell asleep quickly on the bed- still in the rags from the slave auction.

Rose woke up when she heard a yell, she sat up and then followed the voice to a really nice room. She knocked and then entered, "What happened?" she asked the man who had bought her.

Rose screwed up her nose, "You burnt it." she said plainly before ripping off a bit of clean fabric, basically the only clean bit from her rags, and tied it around the burn quickly.

As Rose read it she sighed, she then realized something she thought would never happened. It was actually more welcoming here than in any other place she'd been in her life.

Rose rushed out of her room and stopped in the hall, she didn't know her way around the place. She stood still and decided to scream, but then realized she didn't know her owners name. So instead, Rose just screamed really loud- loud enough not only for the whole house to here, but probably her abusive father back at her 'house'.

"Nothing.. I just didn't know your name," Rose smiled and then said, "I found your note..... And to tell you the truth, this is the nicest and most welcoming place I've ever been.. My father's house was never home, and then when he sold me to that horrid slave-auction company," Rose shuddered. "That place was just as bad, this is actually quite nice. And if I was free, I'd have no place to go." Rose blushed when she finished.

Rose nodded and made a mental note of his name, and blushed when he kissed her hand. She turned and went back into her room. She sat on her bed for the longest time, but couldn't get back to sleep. So instead Rose just lay on the bed with her eyes closed.

Rose gasped and took it out. She was stunned, and she was looking at the nicest and probably most expensive thing she'd ever seen (excluding the room Jack had given her). Rose put it around her wrist and clasped it, she screamed, "JACK I LOVE IT!" Before blushing and lieing back onto the bed.

Rose woke up, not knowing her master was bleeding, stretched and called out, "JACK?" When she didn't hear a reply she walked out of the room, still in those irritable rags, and fidgeting with the bracelet he gave her.

She happened to glance out of a window and saw him on the ground bleeding. She screamed and as she ran out of the house she grabbed a sheet from a pile of clean laundry by the stairs.

"Jack, Jack!" she said as she ripped up the sheet to bandage him.
