Well...
What motivates you to write and draw? (Or any other things that you do)
What gives you ideas, and form, and style?
I for one...

Have no idea what my inspiration is...

Well, my favorite characters give me inspiration. Different forms of art and others' work has given me my own inspiration. Music definently gives me inspiration.

I get inspiration from words, phrases, pictures, things. I once got inspiration from a bunch of white trees!

Sometimes I get inspired by little things too. Once I almost wrote a story after seeing a red bench. Music is something I've drawn on nowadays....but that feels...dis-connected from me...

William Faulkner and Haruki Murakami always inspire me. David Sedaris and Kurt Vonnegut are wonderful for humor as well. Other things: Wang Kar Wai movies, photography, music, and collages.

Well, as cliche as it sounds, dreams. I know, I know, but litterally, the first stories I started writing were based of a dream I had.

Ugh.

If I'm ever a famous author some day, and get interviewed, and I say that, I give you all permission to send me roaches in a candy box, or dead roses, or something else ominous and threatening.

Also, my uncle. He's a writer/producer/director. Quite useful. And he spoils me. 'Sall good.

OH! OH! OH! And my head is never empty when I'm next to the ocean. It just....isn't. It's too perfect and vast and...indescribable. Or rather....too hard to describe in just a few words. I have to write. I like Hawaii.

I don't mean to sound modest but...
I will probably never become a famous author.
I'm too poisoned on what people want from a story, instead of what I want...
I'm so blocked right now, my mind is CONSTIPATED....
It'll be a miracle if I even write down one sentence in anything.
If I became an author...
Well...
Get ready for Armageddon....

Lots of things infulence me, feelings, emotions, surroundings, But I mainly make my stories about what goes into my head. Like someone else said, the ocean is a great place, mesmorizing I would say, Just looking at it makes me forget about all the trobles of the world.

I think that music, or just things i see or experience inspire me - although pretty much anything can be inspiring at some point to someone - i once was inspired to write a whole story by sitting on a bench at my public outdoor pool...  lol what can i say? Inspiration works in mysterious ways ^^ XD

I use my music as something to inspire me, and I too use my dreams, that's how I got one of my characters.Odd?Nothings odd.I get inspiration by new notebooks and such..e.e..I find it hard to write a book..I'v been so worried about how bad it may turn out I never really wrote my 1st chapter..But I forced myself to look past it and I wrote something!I'm happy, but I am not finished with chapter one yet...Another inspiration is..........Friends!!Gotta love'em!

I would have to say car rides and music.
I can up with an entire two chapters of a book from a simple car ride in Hollow's Eve and listening to Evanescence.

Music can change one's emotions, ideas, and everything.
Pictures help me, too. But I imagine everything inside my head from AMVs, to pictures, to flashes, to stories in one song.

Dreams also have a huge effect.

Usually when I goto the beach or some other public place where people are with their families, I draw people I see on the beach dressed up in weird outfits. Actually, the beach is where I get most of the ideas for my characters. For example, over the summer I saw this chick with blue-ish green hair, and so she molded into one of my characters, Beatrice.

Also, music. Sinead O'Connor and Imogen Heap, mostly. Inspiring, no?

A lot of times it's music for me, too, but only it's a song sad enough to make me cry. Sometimes I have to force myself to cry to get inspiration for something. o__0

I also get a lot of inspiration from my dreams. Sometimes, I could just put some random stuff together from other things I've seen, like movies... I get a lot of ideas from movies...

when I write, My inspiration comes from books.
When I draw, I'm inspired by my brother's drawings, which are better than mine.

My inspiration is from people. When ever I'm drawing or writing something I think of different people in my life, and then the words and colors just come out of my fingers. I remember one time I was trying to draw something cute, and cute things are impossible for me to draw, so I remember my first crush, and then it was as if my hand was outta my control. When I had finished, I showed it to my friends, and the first thing they asked was 'Did you get somebody else to draw it?' I doubt they would have believed me unless one of them was with me the whole time.

I usually get my inspiration from the charries in my story...their past...their crushes...their feeling.

also I get inspiration from music..I don't think I could ever live without music...and I just try to feel what the singer is feeling while he/she is singing the song.

Frankly I have no idea... just some day it comes to me. I know that nature really inspires me to write (that's why I love the elements so much!) and my pets but many other things do. My moods also but inspirations happen to me unoften.

Well, we could talk all day about the moral implications of illegal music downloading. There seem to be a fair number of people who back up their massive pirate mp3 collections with something about "the music industry is dumb" or "sharing doesn't hurt artists" or whatever. All a bit dubious for me -- is it coincidence that music sales started plummeting the exact moment in 2000 that Napster came out? And these days, a lot of artist are selling DIRECT on itunes and etc. -- so when u pirate their songs, you are literally deciding not to pay the person who made the music -- there is often NO record company involved now....

Anyway ... my take is that I tend to use iTunes not for any moral reason, but just because I HATE dealing with the two main problems with limewire/bearshare etc

Problem #1 -- spyware/virus/filth
Problem #2 -- lack of selection

I'm into techno/trance/electronic music almost exclusively, and a lot of the stuff is actually pretty HARD to find on limewire... I could spend hours looking for it but I prefer not.

I tend to search around on iTunes for compliation series that I feel have good selections, and then just buy whole compilations... recently I've been spending way too much money on this series -- http://electricnation2010.com/tracks

Well, I usually get inspiration from reading other people's stories, and looking at other people's art. Well...I wouldn't call that inspiration as much as it is drive...If I read a real good fanfiction, or if I look at a lot of fanart, it gets me pumped up and excited, then I just need to pour out all that excitement onto a page. I guess my obsession is my inspiration. XD

But, I guess when I actually want to think of an actual plot...I dunno. I just have random thoughts. Like, I was at a concert once, watching crowd surfers, and I just started thinking about a story with a girl who goes to a concert with her friend and gets dragged into crowd surfing, then the ball just keeps rolling. When I write, I usually just have one random scene I want to work up to. For example, the fanfiction I'm writing right now...When I started it, the only thing I wanted to happen was for someone to run into a blizzard. XD All the writing I did up to that point was just working my way up to that one scene that I had in my head...So I guess imagdry gets me inspired.

...But I ramble, and I don't make any sense, probably. XD Music is good, too. Although I usually just get ideas from real life.

I get my inspiration from quite a few things.

1. I get inspiration from dreams. I have a dream sometimes, and when I wake up [no matter the time] I HAVE to write about it. Usually that turns out to be a poem.
2. My thoughts and feelings. I write mostly of what I feel. Sometimes I can write about what others feel, also.
3. Nature. That's my big inspiration in art. I see a tree and think 'I can do that!' And even if it doesn't turn out exactly, it's always good.
4. Friends! I have my friend sit down with me and we take turns writting down a line. The first line has to rhyme with the third. And the second rhyme with the fourth. Like this:
Sometimes life can make you weak
But it always turns around
And even though we may act like a geek
I'll be there to pick you up when your down

^_~ I hope I was atleast a little help...
