Brent smiled, "I'm having a boy!"

"You're having a boy...?" Trey asked, "Don't you mean Kelsa's having a boy?"

Kelsa kissed her head and looked around, "Where did my husband go?" she asked the doctor.

"He went into the hall a few minutes ago." she told her.

Dani yawned and looked around the room.

Brent blinked, "Yeah...that too!" He grinned a little, "Wanna go out and celebrate!?"

"Okay, but don't you wanna celebrate with Kelsa?" He asked, "You know, the one who's actually having your kid."

Brent looked back into the room, "I mena later tonight Trey." He said.

"Okay. What did you have in mind?" Trey asked.

Kelsa sighed a bit as the doctor cleaned her up and told her she could go. She took the girls and walked out, looking at Brent. "Come on, we're going." She said.

"Alright." He told Kelsa. "Maybe like go to the bar." he nodded.

Kelsa frowned as she watched him.

"Kay," he said, "Sounds good. I'll see you later then."

Brent nodded"Alright, bbye." He hung up and took Amanda from Kelsa, "So, are you excited??"

"Yeah..." she said, "You're going to a bar?"

"Yeah, sometime tonight..." He whispered, his arm around her.

Dani was falling asleep again.

"Oh," Kelsa said, shifting Dani a little so she could carry her more comfortably. "Let's go." She turned and walked out of the doctor's office.

Bren followed her, sighing softly as he rubbed Amanda's back.

Kelsa put Dani in the car then got in herself.

Amanda looked up at her dad, "Brother." she told him.

"Mhmm, brother." He said, putting her in the car, then got in himself, looking at Kelsa.

Kelsa rubbed her stomach as she looked out the window.

"Are you mad at me?" He asked, her pulling out.

"No..." she said softly, "No, I'm not mad at you. Why would I be mad that you want to go to a bar?"

Brent sighed softly, "I'm sorry Kelsa..." He told her.

"It's okay." She said quietly, "You're a grown man. You can do what you want."

"Kelsa, do you want me to stay home?" He asked, "Me and Trey won't be there that long..."

"Do what to you?" She asked, Swipping angrily at a tear that rolled down her cheek, "Let you go and have your fun while I sit at home with the girls? Yeah, Brent, that's real horrible of me."

Brent sighed and stared at the road. "Kelsa! I'm sorry! I won't go!" He took a deep breath.

Dani stared up at them.

Kelsa looked away out the window, wiping away another tear. "I don't care," she said softly, "I... I have my baby boy... I'm going to be happy on my own. I don't care what you do."

Amanda looked at them, "Dada."

Brent pulled over and stared at her. "Fine." He said, he got out of the car, "You can drive home yourself." He whispered and started to walk. He took a deep breathm, biting his lip.

Dani sniffled and stared at Kelsa. "Momma..."

Kelsa watched him go then put her face in her hands, falling into sobs.

Amanda looked out the window. "Dada!" She called.

Brent let some tears fall, he couldn't do that to them. But he couldn't stand Kelsa right now, with her being moody. He pulled out his phone and called Trey.

Kelsa struggled to get herself under control as she pulled out her cell and called Jess. She couldn't just sit there with the girls in the car. She had to do something.

Trey picked up the phone. "Hello?"

Brent took a deep breat, his voice was trembling. "Hey..." He whispered in to the phone.

Dani sat in her carseat, staring at Kelsa. "Momma."

"Hey, are you okay?" Trey asked, "You sound... off."

Kelsa cried still as she waited for Jess to pick up her phone.

Brent sighed, "I...I'm not sure..." He whispered into the phone, closing his eyes tightly, trying not to cry.

Jess looked at her phone, she answered it. "Hello?"

"What happened?" Trey asked, "You were all excited not ten minutes ago. Is Kelsa alright? Is there something wrong with the baby?"

"Jess?" Kelsa cried into the phone, "C-can you come pick us up? Please. I-I don't know what to do. I have the girls and... and I can't-" She choaked off at the end.

Brent looked up at the sky, "Everything is fine with the baby..." He whispered, as he kept walking along the road. "I just... I don't know what to do..."

Jess bit her lip. "Sure." She said softly, "Just tell me what you can't do?"

"What's going on?" Trey asked, trying to figure out what happened. "Is it Kelsa? The girls? Did something happen with your sister?"

"I-I can't drive." Kelsa cried, "I can't calm down enough to drive and... and it's hot and I can't leave the girls in here for so long, it's not good for them."

"Just Kelsa...Saying she can do it on her own, when I told her I wouldn't go to the bar with you...tonight...and saying she bascaly doesn't need me..." He mumbled into the phone. "So, I got out of the car and now i'm walking along the road..."

Jess got up, "Alright." She said softly, "Where are you??"

Trey did a face/palm. "Brent, she's pregnant. She just got some great news and she was probably looking forward to celebrating with you. Telling her you're going to a bar tonight probably sounded like, 'I'm going to celebrate with my friends who are more important than you.'"

"Um, I think we're on Oak..." Kelsa said, trying to clear her vision enough to see out the window. "Just a little ways away from General Market."

Brent looked down, "I'm not good at this..." He mumbled, letting a tear roll down his cheek.

Jess got up and put her shoes on. "Okay, I'm on my way."

Dani whined and looked up at Kelsa, "Momma...?"

Trey sighed, "It's hard the second time around." He said, more patiently, "You think it's going to be just like the first time but it never is. Do you think you can make it over here?"

"Okay," Kelsa said, twisting in her seat to look back at her girls. "Okay, thank you so much Jess."

Jess hung up and told Trey that she was going to get Kelsa. "

Dani cried a little.

"Alright. Don't worry about Kelsa for now. Jess is going to take care of her. I'm going to call the baby sitter and come find you okay? We'll get things sorted out."

Kelsa got out and got Dani, bouncing her gently, "Shhh, it's okay."

Dani sniffled and held onto Kelsa. "Daddd..." She cried out and then looked up at Kelsa, crying again.

Brent nodded a little. "Alright..." He said. "I'm gonna go." He hung up and sat on the side of the road.

Jess got in the car, driving off to get them.

That brought a fresh wave of tears to Kelsa's eyes and she cried into her daughter's hair. "Daddy's not here." She said softly, "Daddy's gone."

Trey called his dad to come watch the kids. He waited for him to get there before going after Brent in his own car.

Dani whimpered and buried her head into Kelsa's neck. "Daddd..." She cried harder.

Brent held his phone in his hands as he sat there, watching cars go by.

Jess got there, pulling up behide their car.

Kelsa walked over to Jess's car, her face covered in tears. "Th-thanks for coming." She stammered, her voice still shaking from crying so much. "Hold on while I get their car seats."

Trey drove around till he found Brent.

Jess was holding and bouncng Dani. "Kelsa, want me to get them? or are you good?" She asked softly.

Brent sighed, not paying attention.

Kelsa shook her head, "I'm not okay Jess." She whispered, "I'm not okay."

Amanda whined loudly in the car.

Trey got out and stood in front of his friend. "Do you really want to sit out here in the heat all day?"

Brent looked up at him, "I'm not sure..." He mumbled, then looked back down, "I really messed up..." He closed his eyes tightly.

Jess walked over and got Amanda. "Shhh..." She whispered to them, then looked at Kelsa. She set them in the carseats that were already in there, it was coll becuase of the aircontioning. She walked over and help get the car seats.

"Yeah, you did." Trey said, not softening the blow at all. "But we can make it right, if you want."

Kelsa watched, unable to help. She could barely see two inches from her face.

Jess put the car seats in the trunk of the suv. She looked at Kelsa, then helped her in the car, sighing a little.

Brent stared at him, "I want to...I really do..."

Kelsa put her face in her hands as soon as she was in the car, crying again.

"Come on." he said, "Let's go somewhere and talk it out."

"Trey never walked away from you." Kelsa cried, "Trey n-never stopped the car and got out, telling you to drive yourself home. Look at me! Do I look like I could drive anywhere?!"

Trey got him into his car and started driving.

Jess looked at her, "Kelsa..." She said, biting her lip, she was making it worse. She looked back at the girls. "Here." she said handing her a napkin.

BRent stared out of the window, taking deep breaths.

Kelsa tried to dry her eyes and face. "I'm sorry." She said, "I really am. I-I just I didn't know who else to call."

"Feeling resonable yet?" Trey asked.

"Its fine." She said softly, looking at the road as she started to drive.

BRent shrugged a little, not talking much.

Kelsa looked down at her stomach, her hand folded around it gently. "We're having a boy." She said meekly, not looking up. "We just found out today."

Trey watched the road. "You can start talking whenever you want." he told him.

Jess smiled a little. "Thats nice, a baby boy." She said softly.

Brent sighed an looked at Trey.

She nodded a little. "I-I thought Brent would be happy." she said softly, "I thought that's what he wanted. A son. He joked about needing a son this morning. I wasn't very nice this morning. But... he gave me what I wanted and... I thought everything was okay... I guess I was wrong." She whispered the last part.

"I'm just here to listen." Trey told him.

Jess nodded a little, "I'm sure he just is cranky..." She said softly.

Brent sighed, "I told her I wouldn't go to the bar...with you..."

"I guess..." She said softly, "He wanted to go to a bar... That's not so bad I guess. Just a bar. I can't drink so of course he wouldn't take me along... But... Why would he want to go to a bar? Why... why doesn't he want to be with me? Am I really that annoying?"

"No your not.." Jess said. "When did he say he wanted to go?"

"Then..she said she could do it all on her own..." He whispered.

"He didn't say he wanted to, he just said he was going." Kelsa said softly. "He just left after the doctor said we were having a boy and when I walked out with the girls I over heard him say something about going to a bar or something. When I asked if he was going he said he was."

"What did she say she could do on her own exactly?" Trey asked, unable to stop himself for asking for more specific answers. He was just like that.

Brent tried to remember. "Everything..." He whispered.

"I over reacted I guess." She murmured, "I shouldn't have been mad. I shouldn't be so upset like I am. It's just a bar. He was going with Trey. I like Trey. He's a good guy."

"Kelsa's a realist isn't she?" Trey asked, "Do you really think she would even consider being able to raise three kids on her own?"

Jess stopped at a red light, "I'm sure he was going to go later on in the night...and spend the rest of the day with you..." She said softly.

"He didn't even say anything..." Kelsa said softly, "Just 'really?' when the doctor told us and then he got up and and called Trey I guess... He didn't even give me a kiss..."

"You must have really upset her if she would say something like that." Trey mused.

Brent sighed and looked down again.

Trey parked outside the bar. "Well, we'd end up here anyway." he said, "Keep thinking it over."

Jess glanced at her, then drove to her house.

Trey looked over at him, "We can stay here or we can go back to your house." he told him. "The choice is yours."

Kelsa sniffled, more in control now. She kept going over her conversation with Brent. Trying to think of how she could have handled it better.

She looked at Jess, eyes pleading. "Yes... please, Jess. I don't want to be alone." She whispered.

Brent got out, sighing softly.

Amanda sniffled and whined a little.

Kelsa got Dani out, rubbing her back gently, "It's time for their nap." she told her friend.

Brent walked into the bar, biting his lip.

Dani whined loudly gripping her shirt.

Trey sat down at the bar with Brent.

Kelsa bounced her gently, walking into the house and putting her down for her nap.

Kelsa kissed each of her girls' heads then went out to the kitchen to make some tea. Tea always helped her calm down.

Trey nodded and orded them both a drink.

Kelsa made her tea and sat down on the couch with it, holding the cup between her hands. She looked down at it and past it to her stomach. She really thought having another baby was a good idea... was she wrong?

Trey drank as well, sitting silently beside him.

Kelsa hugged her back, careful with the tea, trying not to cry again. "I messed up." She said softly. "I'm such a failure."

Trey kept his eyes on his drink. He knew this was probably a bad idea.

Trey fingured the glass.

"I-I don't know if he's coming back." Kelsa said, loosing the fight to keep calm. "I-I said I'd be fine o-on my own. I told him I-I would be happy b-by myself."

Brent finished his first glass and ordered another.

Trey took another drink of his, keeping half an eye on his friend.

Brent took a few glups and that drink of his was gone too.

Kelsa nodded a little, trying to dry her eyes with the back of her hand. "That's good." Kelsa said, sniffling.

Trey sighed, "Maybe you should slow down." he said.

Brent sighed. "No." He said gettting another drink.

She looked down at her tea, pressing a hand to a spot on her stomach where the baby kicked. "I want to be happy." Kelsa whispered. "I want to be excited when I feel him kick, or move around inside me. But... without Brent... it doesn't feel like a good thing anymore."

"Take your time." he said, taking another drink and ordering another.

Trey watched him out of the corner of his eye.

Kelsa smiled a little and took her hand, putting it over where the baby was kicking.

Trey sighed, wondering what the girls were up to. But the alcohol was beginning to take over and his thoughts turned perverted.

"What do you think they're doing?" Trey asked, after a particularly large gulp.

Jess looked at her stomach, "He's your baby..."

Trey stared off into space as he thought about it.

Kelsa sat on the bed, watching her.

Brent stared at the clock, then he sighed, he was wasted and didn't remember what happened. "Whats wrong Kelsa?" He asked, blinking.

Tears fell down her cheeks as she spoke.

Brent sat on a bench, staring at the road. He never ment to hurt her, he just wanted her to be happy, he didn't know why he did the things he did.

"What did she say?" Trey asked, sitting beside him.

Kelsa hung up the phone slowly, looking down at her stomach.

Brent closed hte phone and got up, looking at Trey.

Trey watched him. "What did she say?" he asked, getting up as well.

Kelsa lifted her shirt up a little, watching the place where the baby was kicking move out every so slightly.

"I'm going home..."

Trey drove, well enough, back to Brent and Kelsa's house.

Trey followed him, walking into the house.
