Sea and Sky ((Mermaid/Angel Romance))

In the world of Revalin only two races exist, the merpeople that live deep within the oceans and the angels that rule the endless skies above. Since their beginnings neither races have ever had much contact with each other unless necessary, and they all live by one simple rule. A mercreature is never to fall in love with an angel and vice versa.

However, when an angel and a mermaid break that sacred rule what will happen when their hidden love is discovered?

Bio: Star grew up in the great kingdoms that existed far beneath the ocean's surface. Having known since she was a child that it was forbidden for her race to have any contact with the angels of the lands above, Star became curious as to just what these strange creatures were really like. However, she dared not voice her questions to others since she could be punished for having such thoughts and it left her with many unanswered questions. As she grew older, Star began to secretly venture to the surface in the hopes of seeing these angels but every night she was return to her home without even catching a glimpse of them. Still she persisted, and eventually she happened to run into an angel accidentally on one of her midnight excursions. At first she was a bit wary of him since she didn't know if he'd reveal she was even talking to him, but as the days went by with no sign of her secret being compromised she continued to meet him each night at the edge of the ocean.
Over time, their friendship slowly turned into much more and they grew to love each other. However, with the laws still in place there was no plausible way they could be together. Still Star was determined to find a way to change things in their favor, and if not then running may be the only choice they have.

"Yes! I made it again!" Star exclaimed excitedly as she pulled herself up on a rock near the shoreline. Once again she had managed to sneak up to the surface without getting caught, she just hoped she could keep her current record straight and not get into any trouble in the process.

Cassy swam around collecting shells. She normally always did that when she had nothing better to do. She had collected 3 pearls, 8 conch's and 18 sand-dollars.

Just as she had reached her normal perch on the rocks, Star easily caught sight of Cassy swimming just underneath the surface nearby.

"Oooo crap! The last thing I need is someone catching me!" She whispered to herself as she ducked down behind the rocks and prayed that Cassy wouldn't catch her up on the surface.

Cassy sighed she she swam up to the surface. "Now where is the beach" she thought looking around. She spotted it and dived back under. She swam to the beach. "Wow theres lots of shells today" she said as her eyes glimmered with joy. She didn't even notice Star.

"Phew....that was close." Said Star to herself as she glanced out over the rocks, although she was still edgy considering she had no idea where Cassy had gone off to right then.

Cassy noticed star in the corner of her eye. She swam over to her. "I see you sometimes come up to the surface also huh." she said smiling a little.

Cassy swam back to the beach. She crawled onto the beach and sighed. She saw a odd looking shell. She looked at it and blinked.

"She is so going to hate me for this." Star said to herself with a small smirk as she took the small shell she held in her hand and tossed it straight at Cassy. If she was lucky it would hit her right on top of her head, and she'd be out of sight before Cassy even realized it was her.

Cassy blinked. She looked at the shell that had hit her. "Oh another conch" she said and stuffed it in her bag. She grabbed the odd one and dived under water. She swam back to where her and star lived.

And, just as usual, Star fell back on the rocks laughing hysterically at her own trick.

"Now that was funny!" She managed to choke out between her fits of laughter.

Cassy went to her room. She opened one of her drawers and put her shells in it.

"Darn....once again nothing!" Star said in irritation as she finally dove back under the water. She had hoped that maybe by some chance she'd run into these so called 'angels' tonight, but so far it seemed luck was working against her as she swam back towards the house she shared with her sister.

"Cassy, you in here?" She called out as she swam through the doorway and glanced around for any sign of her younger sibling.

Cassy was on her bed counting every shell she had (atleast 600)

"Jeez girl you keep picking up all these shells and we'll have to get a bigger trunk for you to keep them all in." Teased Star as she swam into the room and sat down next to Cassy.

"I know" she said looking at the odd looking one she picked up earlier.

"Hey where'd you find that?" Asked Star as she gazed at the odd shaped sea-shell her sister now held in her hand.

She shrugged. It was a salmon pink and it looked like a cone (I cant find animal crossing so i don't know that name of it)

"Weird." Said Star but by then she was already glancing over the other shells within her sister's rather large collection.

The ocean started to get a little dark. "Sun's setting..." Cassy said and swam out of her room. She swam up to the surface to watch the setting sun.

"Hey wait for me!" Called out Star as she swam up and surfaced next to her sister.

"You know, if we stay out here long enough we might catch sight of some of those angel people everyone talks about." She said with an excited look in her eyes as she gazed up at the sky.

Cassy crawled up onto a rock. She started to hum her favorite song.

As Star climbed up next to Cassy, she kept her eyes locked on the sky as she glanced around for any signs of what she was looking for.

Sora flew around alittle. "I wonder what these... mer things are like" she muttered as she flew over the ocean as she looked around.

Cassy squinted her eyes as she noticed something flying over head.

"Hey, you see that?" Asked Star as she glanced up at the sky once she noticed something strange flying overhead.

"Oh my gosh!! Thats a angel!!" She wanted to jump up and down but she fell forwards and landed in the ocean. "Man these fins get annoying" she muttered.

Sora was high in the sky so it was hard for her to spot the mermaids. "Maybe... i should go down a little..." she thought and lowered herself a little. She stopped when she was like standing on top of the water. She looked around.

Nyora slightly hovered down the beach, her toes just barely brushing the warm beach sand. She saw two figures in the water and squinted to see what it was.
Mermaids! she thought, her eyes widening.
She thought about the possibilities of her getting in trouble. Since she wasn't up in Heaven anymore, it would be fine to go and talk to them.
"And besides," she said to herself as she started walking, "I've always wanted to meet one."

"Hey you're right!" Said Star, but once she had noticed that Cassy fell straight into the water she burst out laughing.

Sora looked around and noticed Cassy and star. "Cool! Some mermaids!" she said and flew over to them.

"You okay down there Cassy?" Asked Star as she gazed down at her sister.

[swalot-girl]

"I think" Cassy said climbing back onto the rock. She noticed sora. Her eyes widened and she froze with her mouth wide open.

[princess2708]

"Uh Cassy, you're mouth's hanging open again." Said Star as she pointed towards Cassy's mouth, which was still wide open from either shock or surprise. Which it was though, Star didn't know.

Sora tilted her head. She giggled silently and snook up to Star. "BWAH!!" Sora yelled into her air sending star flying in the water.

Star screamed as she fell into the water, but once she resurfaced and noticed Sora she glared up at the angel girl.

"T-that was not funny!" She said as she blushed in embarresment over being startled like that.

Cassy started to laugh her head off. Sora giggled.

Star just glared up at Cassy before a sneaky smirk appeared on her face. Then, before her sister even knew what had happened, Star had grabbed her tail and yanked her down into the water.

Sora burst out laughing. Cassy came up and grabbed sora's foot. She dragged her under also. Sora screamed and laughed at the same time.

At first Star just stared at the two before she burst out laughing.

Sora crawled onto the rock. With a flick of her wings the feathers were completely dry. She giggled. "Try and catch me" she said and flew off. Cassy swam after her.

"Hey Cassy wait up!" Star yelled as she dove under the water and started swimming after her sister.

[swalot-girl]

Cassy was right under Sora. She jumped up and grabbed her leg. "BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" She gloated.

"And she doesn't listen to me." Star muttered under her breath as she raced to catch up to Cassy and Sora.

[swalot-girl]

"Lets go" Sora said an flew off. Cassy fallowed quickly.

Star quickly followed the two since someone had to keep an eye on things and make sure they didn't get caught. Seeing as Star knew all to well what could happen if someone caught her and Cassy even talking to one of these angels.

Cassy noticed a boat ahead. Sora flew high in the sky she she wouldn't get noticed. Cassy swam deep down to the bottom of the sea and watched the boat.

Without making a single sound, Star swam up behind Cassy and placed her hands over her eyes.

"Guess who?!" She said with a sneaky smirk as she waited to see how her sister would react.

"STAR!" She yelled and slapped her with her fin. She giggled and started to swim.

Star just laughed to herself before pulling herself up onto a nearby rock and watching Cassy and Sora continue their rather comical race.

They were swimming/flying really fast. (Cassy practices daily)

Cassy kept swimming. Sora had to go home.

Nyora watched this interesting sight with glazed over eyes. She was sapceing... again...

That is until something suddenly splashed Nyora with some of the salty water. Of course it wasn't hard to figuring out what had happened seeing as Star was laughing from her perch up on the rocks.

[Twilight Demon]

Nyora drew her head back quickly at the sea water. She looked at Star and smirked. She then splashed Star back pretty hard.

Star shrieked as she was hit by a spray of water, sending her falling straight off the rocks and into the ocean.

"Okay that makes twice that has happened!" She said irritably as she resurfaced near Nyora.

[Twilight Demon]

Nyora laughed.
"I'm Nyora. Who are you?"

"I'm Star."

Once she had introduced herself, Star swam over to a few rocks that were closer to the shoreline and climbed up out of the water.

[Twilight Demon]

Nyora smiled and looked at her tail.
"Bueatiful..." she commented.

[princess2708]

"Huh? Oh you mean this?" Asked Star as she pointed towards her violet colored tail.

"It's not that special really." She said with a slight shrug of her shoulders before she glanced at Nyora's dark colored wings.

[Twilight Demon]

"I think it's wonderful. I've never seen a mermaid this up close before."
She then noticed Star staring at her wings. She smiled sadly.
"Yes. They're different, aren't they? Angels are supposed to have white wings, I'm sure you know."

[princess2708]

"Actually I didn't, but either way I think you're wings are beautiful." Said Star, seeing as this was the first time she'd ever actually talked with an angel herself.

[Twilight Demon]

Nyora smiled.
"Well, then, I won't have to explain my past."

Cassy sighed as she realized she was alone. She poked her head out of the water but a ship was passing by. She watched it.

"Well I could tell you seem sad about it, and I don't like bringing up things like that so no you don't have to explain anything." Said Star with a bright smile of her own.

Nyora sighed and smiled.
"Good. One less person to explain it too."

"Well from the looks of it I guess that was a good thing." Said Star as she sat there with her hands behind her head.

Cassy clung to the bottom of the boat.

Nyora tried to think of a thing to say.
"So... how is it underwater?" she finally asked.

"Really wet." Said Star before she giggled softly at her own comment.

"Well to be perfectly honest, it's not much different from up here. True there are differences, but that's nothing you wouldn't expect."

Cassy clung onto the boat. She held on tight.

"Really wet." Said Star before she giggled softly at her own comment.

Nyora thought about this.
"True.... our place is very white."

"White? As in white everywhere?" Asked Star as a rather curious look appeared on her face.

Nyora shrugged.
"More or less."

"Wow, that's kind of weird sounding. No offense meant though." Said Star as she thought about what Nyora had just told her. How could anywhere be that white? Needless to say it had Star miffed but that wasn't to say she didn't believe Nyora or anything like that.

"Nah. It is weird, actually."

"It sounds like it, but then everything underwater always has some kind of bluish tint to it so I guess that's kind of weird in itself."

[Twilight Demon]

Nyora blinked.
"I guess that is pretty weird."

"Well it's not to bad, you get use to it." Said Star as she shrugged her shoulders.

[Twilight Demon]

"I bet. I have never been fully engulfed in water. Bad for my wings."
