Characters and plot (in character descriptions):
Aislynn- Princess about to inherit the throne of Cailah. Shes been given six months to choose a husband, or one will be chosen for her. She invites all wealthly bachelors around to come to a ball. Only one rejects, and- with haste-cancels the ball for a short while. Aislynn runs off with her wealthy best friend Adela, to spy on the bachelor.
Aiden- Hes not intereted in marrying (sp?) a princess, hes not even interested in marriage. His love is hunting, and he plans to devote his life to it. But an outland girl named Sorcha attracts his attention.
Sorcha- Arrives in the town where Aiden lives just days before the princess. Shes not like the other women. She does not paint her cheeks and lips with color, and she does not wear dresses. She wears leather, fur, and a bow.
Adela- Aislynn's best friend. She sneaks off to spy on Aiden, but her eyes seem to wander towards a boy named Ross.
Ross- One of the two lords of the city of Sacrem. Hes wealthy and single, and would LOVE to marry a princess.
Lachlan- Hes set his sights on Adela, but it seems his love is one-sided. Hes determined to change that, so hes followed Aislynn and Adela to Sacrem. Hes a childhood friend, but to Adela- unless he changes it- thats all he'll ever be.
