Ok, well my theory for the ending is that harry will find all the horcruxes and destroy them (after some cools scenes fighting death eaters who will inevitably gvien the task of gaurding the remaining ones) leading to the final showdown with voldemort with malfoy at his side (forcebly held there by the the reason stated in the book) The two would have their final duel, rival to rival, a spectacular fight. But harry would win and voldemort would take center stage. the two would fight and harry ould lose but just as soon as volemort prepares to finish him. malfoy wakes up and saves him and the two of them fight side by side and defeat voldemort with malfoy (sorry for all who like him) dying in the process. Hence the 2 main character deaths.

Interesting theory. Makes sense! But do you really feel that Malfoy is that strong of a character to survive all the way to the end? - well, eventually, like you said - "dying in the process" - but still.
But it IS a good theory! :)

well idk..thats kinda the point..he's being forced to survive or his parents will die. He has no choice but to live. In my story voldemort would have been killed his parents without him knowing. so in essence, his struggles were for nothing, giving his death more justice.

Well, I believe that eventually, in the end - when the epic (and much awaited) battle is taking place b/w Voldy and Harry, there (of course - in the background) will be the Order and the Death Eaters fighting it out, and Harry and Voldemort will perform such a spell that both of them die - at the same time.
It is a weired theory - but what I'm saying is: Both of them will die.
About the Harry dying thing:
You are right that it is cliche.
I feel that by killing Harry she can finish the series "cleanly".

By cleanly, I meant that JKR intended to write seven books, so she will have to end it w/ a book #7. There is no better way, (I feel) than ending the "septology" w/ Harry's death. (This way, may be she wouldn't be pressured [much] to write another book - not that I'm complaining..I'd love another book!)

Hey, I'm a bit late getting here but I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan. I don't think any of us could predict what will happen. I mean, we might be close, but it would only be because we got lucky, not because we figured it out. JK Rowling is pretty amazing with her writing. She is very difficult to predict. I guess we will just have to see. Im pretty nervous though, because the past two books have been so horribly depressing. I mean first Sirius (he was my man! :mad:) and then Dumbledore!! DUMBLEDORE!!! SHE KILLED OFF DUMBLEDORE!!! AHHHH!!!! ok, sry. momentary lapse...im better now. Anyway, I just really don't know what to think. I really hope that she doesn't leave me wanting to kill myself at the end of the book because I am so upset. :( Oh, but I did hear a really good theory from a girl on Quizilla (If u dont use that site, you should. its the ****. Its got lots of fanfic, as well as quizzes, homepages, horoscopes, all sorts of fun stuff. I have been a loyal fan for over 7 years now. Anyway...). She was saying that technically, Dumbledore could still be alive. Nobody ever saw his dead body, not even at the funeral. they kept his casket closed. And Hagrid carried it all by himself. Even with Hagrids giant blood think about how heavy a wooden casket with a grown man inside must be. He could have faked his own death and had Snape in on it. I have no idea. Its just wishful thinking. Im in denial. lol Also about Sirius, I mean, there was no closure or even anything leading up to it. Just...he died. :eek: I still am having a very difficult time of accepting it. I know, I know, its just a story...
