I still listen to some of the earlier alternative scene, specifically the Seattle grunge scene esp Alice In Chains. I don't think you can say you simply listen to 'Rock music', it implies so many different genres and sub-genres that you would have to very undescriminating ears be a fan of even half of 'Rock music'.
