Jessica just woke up, the plane just crashed and she was cut up, and bleeding badly, "Is this the end?" she asked herself.

Light sat in his cave, out of the sunlight. He looked at the sky, the sun was setting, but there was enough sunlight out to kill him. He would wait a little longer till he went out to hunt.

Soon the sun was fully down. Light left his cave and walked into the jungle. Soon he started to smell blood.
"..Human blood?" He went over to where the smell came from. He came to the beach and saw a girl, cut up and bleeding. He slowly went over to her.

Jessica looked up slowly, she saw a figure, what looked like to be a man, but her vission became a blurr. After a second her eyes closed and she fainted.

"She's hurt pretty bad... but her blood smells-" He shook his head, I gotta help her. He picked her up and ran back to the cave.
When he came back to the cave he set he down gently, walked just outside of the cave, and started to pick some plants, healing herbs.

She coughed and blood went down her mouth, she remembered the plane crash, everyone died but her.

He came back and soon hurried, he smashed the herbs and did diffrent kinds of things to them. He then went over to the girl, he then rubbed the herbs one her cuts. They soon started to heal. Light sighed and started to make a fire.

After a little while, Jessica woke up. She tried getting up slowly but every part of her body hurt.

Light had finished with the fire and was outside. He looked back in the cave and saw the girl awake. He looked away, "You should rest.. if you move around too much, your wounds will re-open." He said without looking at her.

Light then saw a wild pig, he threw a rock at it on the head, killing it. He walked over to it and started to suck it's blood. He finished, licking his lips clean, "Now I gotta find food for that girl." He walked around the jungle till he found another wild pig, not as big as the one he had, but he was sure it would do. He threw another rock, just like he had before, killing it. He picked it up and went back to the cave.

Light came back, he set the dead pig down and walked over to a bag that was across from the girl. He looked over seeing that she was crying.
"Hmp.." He pulled out a knife. He went back to the pig and started to skin the fur off, when he finished he started to cook it by the fire. He was sure the smell of the cooking meat would wake her. She must be hungrey.. He thought as the pig cooked. He saw some of the pig's blood was on his finger, he licked it off.

Jessica smelled something after a little while, like some kind of meat. She opened her eyes and rubbed them with her arm. She looked over and saw Light. She wasn't in much in much pain as she was in the beginning, she just sat there and watched him.

Light looked over, "You hungrey?" He asked. He had cut the pig into small pieces. They where on a large leaf. He pushed the warm, cooked meat over to her.

"Oh. I was flighing to a city called Los Angels, California. To visit my aunt and uncle..." she replied.

"I...lived in a small town called Springfield. But my parents told me to leave, I didn't get a answer why. But before I knew it I was on the plane. Heading to the city... Light can I ask you something?" she asked.

Light opened his eyes and looked at the sky. What was he to do now?

After Jessica was walking for a couple minutes she saw something in a bush move, she jumped and stepped back. "Who's there?" she asked. Then a pig jumped out squeeling, what could of caused the pig to go crazy like this? She stepped sideways as the pig ran past her. She then heard a branch snapp and before she new it a bear was in front of her. She fell down and stared at it with wide eyes.

Light sniffed the air, something wasn't right. He quickly stood and took off where Jessica had gone.

The bear roared and Jessica's hands started shaking. It came closer to Jessica and she stepped backwards slowly.

The bear growled and started walking up to Light, "Light no!" Jessica said. The bear picked up it's claw ready to attack Light, "I can't let the bear hurt Light." Jessica thought she got up.

He quickly pulled a rope that was on a tree and a net lifted the bear up. It was strong enough so the bear couldn't get away, nor could it hurt itself.

Outside the bird where chirpping, the sun was high: not a single cloud in the deep, blue sky.
Light opened one eye, he was still tired but groaned and rolled over. He was Jessica asleep, he was about to go over, but she was in the sunlight.
"Pfft..." He shut his eyes, How can humans take that... that ... that light? He soon fell asleep again, a much deeper sleep then before.

Jessica came back with some fruit and berries. This was all she could find she walked up to Light and placed some food in front of him so when he would wake up. Jessica went outside of the cave and ate a apple.

Light then picked up an apple: his favorite. He had to say he liked it better then blood. He took a bite then thought about something: What if he lost controll and hurt Jessica?

"A walk." Light lied yet again. He then was out of sight.
When he was, he broke out into a run. He stopped and sighed. He heard something and walked toward the sound.
A wild pig and it's mate where under a tree sleeping. They had babies: three. Light licked his lips, yummy.
He ran at them, killed all of them in one swift move, he then started to drink the blood out of them.

Light took one of the babies and walked to the beach. He sat on the sand, he then sunk his sharp, teeth in the pig's neck and started to drink it's blood.
When he was done he put it's body on the ground. He was still hungrey.
What else was where to eat? If he had any more pig's blood he was going to be sick. He then saw a bird, the same one from today, in a tree above him.
He stood and walked over to the tree.

The small bird's shriek broke the stillness of the night.
Light grabbed the bird and jumped down from the tree. He then bit into the bird, killing it. He started to suck it's blood, clean out of it's body.

Light sucked all the blood out of the bird then set it down on the ground. He licked the blood off his lips. He sighed, he was full. He headed back to the cave.

It was the little bird from before, "Poor thing... what could have killed you?" she asked. She turned her head, the sight was too disgusting. She decided to walk back to the cave.

Light walked back to the cave and saw Jessica was gone. Where'd she go? He looked around then sighed. He sat infrount of the fire, it was low.
He picked up a few logs and twigs around the cave and fed them to the fire.

"There's nothing really 'fun' to do around here." Light sighed. Fun: he hadn't heard that word in awhile.

Light looked over at the fire, it was low. He stood, "I'm going to go get more firewood." He told Jessica, "I'll be back." He walked out of the cave.

"Sure." Light said without looking back at her. It wasn't like he was hunting, just getting some firewood.

"It is." He agreed. They came to a clearing with twigs and logs all around it. "Carry as much as you can." Light said picking up a small log.

Light was able to carry four large logs and one small one. He set the small one on his shoulder, while he put two under each of his arms.
"This should be enough." Light said smiling.

They walked back to the cave, it was a long walk, but nice, do to the night.

Light listened to Jessica hum. He hadn't heard that one before.
Then again he hadn't heard music in a long time.

Jessica looked at Light blushing, "Heh." she said and then turned her head looking forward again.

Light only got to see Jessica looking away from him.
Hm.. He shrugged a little, careful not to let the log fall.

Jessica yawned and held the logs closer, she almost dropped one but she got it.

They soon came to the cave, "Set yours over there." He pointed by his bag, he put one big log in the fire and the small one. He walked over to the bag and set the other logs down.

"Okay." she said and did as he said and placed them down.

Light sighed and put one last twig in the fire. It was brighter and bigger, "There we go." He smiled.

She smiled a little as well and stared into the fire.

Light sat and leaned back onto the cave's wall.

Jessica leaned back to the cave wall as well and fell asleep after a little bit.

Light looked over and saw she was asleep. He smiled then looked outside, the sun was coming up. He went deeper in the cave and lay on the ground. He shut his eyes and fell asleep.

Jessica woke up next morning and yawned.

Jessica got up and went out of the cave, "I guess I'll go try and find some food again." she mumbled and rubbed her eyes.

Jessica found some fruit again. She didn't know how to get meat. Which that's what she new that Light probably wanted...

Light opened his eyes and saw Jessica was gone and the sun was deeper in the cave. He moved back till he got to the back of the cave and lay back down.

Jessica came back a hour later and put the food up to where Light was sleeping then she went back outside.

Light rolled around and mumbled in his sleep. He started to have a dream, no.... a nightmare.

Jessica looked back into the cave, "Light?" she asked and walked up to him, "Probably a bad dream..." she said kneeling down in front of him.

"K....Kira......" Light mumbled and his face hardern. Then his eyes started to open.

He sat up and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes, "Uh... oh, nothing. J-just a nightmare." He said smiling.

"Oh... um... K-Kira was an old friend of mine." Light said, leanning on the cave's wall.

"Oh..." Jessica said and stared at the cave floor.

Light looked outside and saw it was getting dark, he'd go out hunting soon.

Jessica looked at Light, she didn't know why but she felt like she liked him or something, her stomache started getting a knot in it, Jessica sighed and took a deep breath then let it out, "Get a hold of yourself. You can't like him .Can you?" a voice asked inside her head.

Light stood and walked out, it was dark now. "I'm going out for a walk." He lied, "Be back." He said walking off.
What to eat today? He asked himself.

Jessica looked up at Light, "Hm... I wonder if he really is going for a walk or not..." she thought then waited until he left to get up.

When Light was outta sight, he broke into a run. He turned and sniffed the air, a wild pig nearby. He went where the sent was taking him.

Jessica started searching around for Light. She was curious and wanted to know what he was up too. She didn't like snooping around other people's bussenius but she couldn't help herself.

Light found a large family of wild pigs.
He picked up a few rocks and threw them at the pigs, killing some of them. The others ran away, one got hit on the head and was bleeding but it still ran with the others.
He walked over to the largest and bit into it, sucking it's blood.

Jessica found Light not soon after, but she hid herself behind a tree. She was watching what he was doing, "What the hell is he doing?" she thought standing still behind the tree.

Light sucked the pig dry. He had some blood going down his chin and some around his mouth. His fangs stuck out, he moved over to another pig and started to drain it's blood, loudly as he sucked.

"I was right..." Elizabeth murmured, mearly more than a soft whisper.

Light finished the pig and sat down where he was. He looked up at the dark sky, blood dripping out of his mouth.
It'll have to do.. He thought.
He then sniffed the air, "Hm?" He turned his head where Jessica was, he hadn't seen her..... yet.

"Oh ****!" she thought she stood up straight trying to conseal herself behind the tree.

Light stood, having a harded look on his face. He slowly walked over to where she was, the blood on his mouth confused him with Jessica's sent, so he didn't know it was her.

Jessica was frozen. She tried to run but it was as if someone glued her feet to the ground, "Run!" a voice told her inside her head. "Dammit!" she thought.

Light walked closer and closer, just then a hawk, from the tree Jessica was leaning on, flew down and started attacking Light.
"HEY! HEY!" He hissed like a snake, "DUMB BIRD!" He started hitting it away.

Before he could see Jessica ran the other way, running as fast as she could.

Light was getting pissed, he then snaped, he grabbed the hawk and threw it into a tree. It lay there, twiching and screeching lightly.
Light was breathing heavy then fell on his behind, wipping the blood off his mouth.

Jessica tripped on a rock and fell, "That... was... close." she said panting.

Light finished wipping the blood off his mouth and stood. He walked back to the cave, he hoped something like that didn't happen again. He hoped Jessica wouldn't see. He hoped she wouldn't meet.... Kira.

She also walked back to the cave, and sighed. "Um... hey... Light." she said slowly looking up at him.

Light sat down infournt of the fire, across from Jessica, "Yeah?" He asked.

"Could I ask you something?" she asked walking up to the fire and sat down.

"Sure," Light smiled, "what do you want to ask?"

"Are you... a.... vampire?" she asked looking at him.

Light froze, how could have she found out? Unless... the sent he picked up awhile ago.... was her....
"..How would you feel if I was?" He mumbled, and gave her a questioning look.

"I...don't really know. I mean... I'd have to think about it... It's just... I've never really seen a vampire before." she mumbled but loud enough for him to hear.

"Hm..." Light looked at the fire's flames as they danced. He bit his bottem lip.

Jessica sighed and lied down on the cave floor. She stared into the fire, not saying anything after a while.

The silence was uneasy, but Light couldn't think of what to say.
He sighed lightly.

Jessica sat up, "Light?" she said continuing to stare into the fire.

"Yeah?" He asked not looking at her.

She smiled slightly, "I don't mind if you're a vampire." Jessica said.

Light looked over at Jessica with shock, "Y-you're not..?"
Normaly he would have thought she would be running out by now, screaming her head off... but she wasn't..
He bit the inside of his cheek, she wasn't scared of him... was that good... or bad?

"I think it's actually kind of cool... me being able to see a vampire. I never thought they were real at first." she laughed a little and sat up looking of to him.

"Hm.." Light couldn't help but smile, She's brave.. He thought, Very brave..

"I've heard stories, of vampires a lot from my father when I was little. I guess now I get to meet one." she said and yawned.

"Yeah... I'm sorry I didn't tell you before.." Light mumbled.

"It's okay Light." she said. "I understand if you wanted to keep it a secret." Jessica said.

Light was still smiling, he turned to the fire and watched the flames again.

Jessica started to get kind of tired so she walked up to the cave wall and leaned against it. She rubbed her forehead and sighed.

Light glanced over, he guessed she would be asleep soon. He looked back over at the fire's glowing flames.

Jessica fell asleep not soon after she closed her eyes.

Light watched the flames then looked at the night sky. He could see the sun slowly coming up. He put out the fire and moved to the back of the cave. He lay on the ground, shut his eyes, and fell asleep.

A few mintues when Jessica got back, Light woke up. He sat up, yawning. Seeing the food made him, smile. He picked up a berry and poped it in his mouth.

Jessica smiled putting the core of her apple next to her, and she leaned up against the cave wall.

Light blinked, he hadn't seen her. "Hey." He said, smiling.

"Sooo...sleep well?" Light asked, bitting into an apple.

"Fine." He replyed. He looked outside, it must have been around noon.
Can't believe I woke up this early.. He thought.

Jessica walked around the island for a little while and stopped once she reached the beach. "I'm guessing it is around noon by the looks of it..." Jessica sighed and sat down on the sand.
