View Full Version : Country Roads {Guendolen_Sama and Eryx}
Out in the middle of nowhere, there's an old country road, a gravel shortcut from one highway to another. People use it fairly often during the day, considering the amount of traffic, as the scenery is quite appealing; especially in the fall when the trees lining the road are turning colors.
However, very few travel it at night because there seems to be a certain transformation it goes under. Moonlight bathes the plants, giving them an eerie silver glow that sticks out a little more than it should. The trees loom over the dusty white rocks like guardians of a secret, and the rumble of the gravel holds whispering hints of what the towering trees defend.
On the more curved and winding area of the road, there stands a house. It is white, paint chipped from weathering and poor care due to the fact that the establishment was abandoned. Windows are all boarded up, as if trying to keep something out, or in. The top window of the attic room is the only one that's uncovered.
When driving past this house at night, a light can be seen in this window, the blueish shimmer of what one would relate to the glow of a television. However, no power lines are extended to the house, nor does anyone live there.
The house, for three days a year, has a very appealing side. During the mid-morning hours, on these three early-spring days, masses of wild day-lilies cover the front yard and line the road in front of the house, making it look more alive than any other time of the year.
I know this place better than anyone, and I can say that with a confidence unknown to the mortal world. You see, this is the place I grew up loving, and the place that I died loathing. Perhaps if I'd been a little more careful back then, I wouldn't have gotten sick... But, sadly, at the young age of 15, I died.
I don't understand why everyone left after that... My parents walked out of the house and didn't come back... Soon after that, some people came in and took my brothers and sisters away. Those same people came and boarded up the windows soon after that... The person who was supposed to do the same to mine-- the room in the attic-- never got past my bedroom door. He tried to go from the outside, but I wouldn't let him. Eventually, he gave up.
Finally, those people left. I was happy...
But, it didn't last. No one ever came back to the house after that... I've been all alone since. However, lately, there's been a lady in a really nice suit that keeps coming to the house. She came inside, and brought a group of people with her. They cleaned everything up, even my room. They unboarded the windows...
Then they brought a new family here. An adult couple, and a girl around my age-- or at least the age I died at... She's very pretty. I think I heard the family saying that she got my room.
I don't mind. In fact, I wonder if she'll be my friend...?

(Sorry this took so long. Distractions and finding a picture happened....)
Name: Danielle Myers
Age: 15
Gender: female
Bio: Danielle's life has been pretty uneventful, as a whole. She's an only child, the daughter of two scientists. Perhaps it's their analytical approach to the world that inspired her fascination with tales of the occult. She especially loves ghost stories, and will read volumes of them- especially supposed "true" accounts- and eats up "haunted house" specials on tv. But some of their analytical nature did leak through.... She's drawn to these stories, but doesn't fall for them hook line and sinker. Danielle will always look for a logical reason above all else. Still, some part of her senses that there are indeed strange things out there.... Senses of deja vu, strange dreams, what have you, have always followed her.
Either way, though, she at first felt somewhat resentful when her parents made her uproot herself and move to a new place, leaving her friends and familiar places behind. Any kid would, right? And it doesn't help that this new house is weird.... Especially her room. It feels like someone is watching her. Not necessarily creepy, but not what a girl would choose, either.
Personality: Kind of snarky and more than a little feisty, Danielle can be quite the little fireball. She's not very big, but she makes up for it with energy. She may dress goth, but she's not dark, brooding, or angsty. Just don't make her mad.... She likes to throw things. She also hates it when people mess with her stuff. But if you can win her over, she's staunchly loyal and will defend you with ever fiber of her being.

Extra:
-Fears: Never being able to make new friends, not knowing what's going to happen to her, dying young
-Likes: Ghost stories, funky clothes, bike-riding, comedies, classical literature, fantasy books, art
-Dislikes: Being bossed around or not taken seriously, people jerking her around or not believing her, being the subject of pranks, asparagus
-Extra Facts: Danielle's favorite holiday is Halloween. She loves to design her own costumes.

(I don't mind a bit. Okay, let me get inside her head, here.... First posts can be tricky.)
Danielle wiped some sweat off her forehead with the back of her hand. She'd just finished hauling the last box up to her new room. Of course she had been given the one at the uppermost floor....
They'd only been in this house a few days, she and her parents. It had taken most of their time to get it all sorted out. As it was, they were still finding belongings stashed away in odd places.... Danielle was trying to be independent about all this. She knew full well that they would all only get on each other's nerves, otherwise. So she tried to take care of her own possessions as best she could.
After all, she was hardly happy about this move. All her friends... familiar haunts.... Gone. Left behind in another city. "As if anyone cares what I think," she grumbled, pulling a box open. Books. Her shelf stood against the wall, empty.
Well, time to get organizing.... And if she just so happened to stop and read a bit while putting them away, what was the worry? It wasn't like she didn't have lots of time, after all....
Jin floated invisibly behind her as she moved, having been following her around since she got there. Danielle, he had decided, was going to be his new friend. Stalking after her, the apparition found himself face-to-face with books. My, he hadn't seen those in ages! He'd been dead about 50 years... Being alone that long was tough... He didn't have anything to do, and he didn't have any reason to leave the house... Only for those three days a year when everything was so beautiful would he even set foot outside.
Jin moved to sit on her bed, not paying attention to what he was doing. The bed shifted a bit, molding to his would-be body. However, he hadn't decided to manifest enough to let her see him yet.

Danielle was trying to organize her books, but she was having a hard time concentrating. She kept feeling like someone was watching her.... There was a weird tingle at the back of her neck. Scratching it didn't help. Every time she looked over her shoulder out the door, expecting to see one of her parents out there, there was no one. "Weird house," she muttered, sticking another book on the shelf. This place had felt strange to her the first time she saw it. Like something was... off.
But that nagging sensation of having company lingered. "Oh, just go away," she muttered. "Beast or bug or whatever it is that's hanging out in here...." She hoped it wasn't a spider. Danielle hated spiders....
A gasp would be heard throughout the room, and the depression in the bed disappeared as Jin rose. He looked utterly shocked-- not that anyone could see-- that his new friend already wanted him to go away. He moved close to her, allowing a very faint outline of himself to be seen for a fleeting moment. He then moved to her other side. "But why?" He asked, voice perfectly clear. He moved again, to her other side. "You're the one in my room!"
But still... No one was there.

"Ah!" The book clattered from Danielle's fingers. Someone had just spoken. Right. In. Her. Ear. She looked around wildly, red hair swinging. "Who are you?" she called out, even as the prickling at the back of her neck tingled like mad. "Where are you? Voice-throwing isn't funny, you know!"
But... the room suddenly felt really chilly... She'd swear the air dropped several degrees. And... had that been a puff of non- existent air?... The windows were closed, after all....
Okay, Danielle was officially freaked out. Maybe this would be a good time grab one of these books- a non-ghosty one- and take a break downstairs.... And find out who the heck was playing a prank on her!
"I'm not throwing my voice!" Jin protested, crossing his arms. He landed, and leaned over, lifting up her book to hand it to her. He quirked an eyebrow, allowing a transparent image of himself to be seen-- only by her. "My name's Jin. You're Danielle, right?" He asked, a smile on his face. He looked barely sickly, but other than that was quite attractive. Well, as far as Danielle could see... He was only half-there... sort of.

11-15-2007, 04:12 AM
"Gah...." Danielle stared, wide-eyed and open-mouthed. Her already pale face had just gotten even paler. Her book... was being offered... to her by... a boy her own age... who was transparent.... "Okay," she said, voice shaking a bit, "whoever is pulling this, stop right now. I hate it when people screw around with me!" She was getting angry on top of the freaking out. Someone had gone to a lot of trouble for this.... She scrambled around the room, black skirt swinging as she tried to find some explanation for how the prankster had pulled this off.
"Uh... D-Danielle...?" Jin asked, glancing to the side. He set the book on the shelf before walking over to her, waving his hands in front of her face. "Are you OK? What are you looking for...?" He asked, tilting his head to the side curiously. This new friend was quite the odd once, wasn't she? Did she really think that someone was tricking her? Jin felt a little hurt.
"I'm not fake... How can you say things like that?" He asked, looking a bit sad.
(11:30. Must go to bed. Sorry. <3; G'night!)

(Don't worry about it. I'm going too, once I make this last reply!)
Danielle had been up on her bed, rooting around the little gap by the ceiling, searching for a camera... anything. "Then what the heck are you?!" she exclaimed, spinning around. Or trying to spin. Given the soft and giving surface she was standing on, that wasn't so simple....
Danielle turned, started to lose her balance. Tried to catch herself on the nearby bookcase. But it was too far away. "Whoa- whoa- ack!" She tumbled face-forward off the bed- and right through Jin.
Pure cold filled her. It was like her veins had been filled with ice water. The cold patch before was nothing on this.... Heck, it was like the tropics, by comparison. So cold she was practically numb, she hit the floor clumsily, barely missing the crate of books she'd been unpacking. Unfortunately, the bizarre cold didn't dilute the pain on hitting the floor. "Ow...." She moved slowly, checking to make sure everything was in one piece. Great. Now whoever was pulling this had gotten a fine show of her taking a tumble....
If... if someone was pulling this.... There didn't seem to be a logical explanation, this time....
So what was it? Could he be a... a ghost?...
Jin reached an arm out to stop her as she fell, but wasn't able to catch her in time and she fell right through. He spun around, dropping to his knees by her side, eyes wide with fear. "Oh no.. Are you OK? Are you hurt?" He asked, looking over her to see if she was injured in any way. What if his new friend was hurt? That just wouldn't do at all!

"Ow...." Danielle said again, wincing as she turned over slowly. "Nothing... seems broken...." Nope, all her limbs appeared still whole. That was a nasty abrasion on her elbow, though.... "Ouch, that smarts...." As she tentatively sat up, a limb brushed through one of Jin's arms. There was that skin-pricking cold again. So freaky.... But Danielle was too sore, not to mention still recovering from having the wind knocked out of her, to be as freaked out as she might have otherwise.
Jin smiled a bit. "That's good..." He said calmly, backing up a bit. He floated into the air, hovering above the ground and looking down at her. "Is your elbow okay?" He asked, sitting on his knees in midair... tilted downward at her.
Guendolen_Sama

Danielle glanced up. "Gah!" She started away, almost instinctively. "Do you have any idea how freaky that is?!" She was cradling her elbow in one hand. "And no, it's not okay. It's not bad, but these skin abrasions hurt like the devil." As soon as she felt like getting up, she'd go put something on it.... She still felt a little stiff and knocked around, though.
"... I've been like this for 50 years. It was freaky for me, too, ya know," Jin retorted rebelliously, arms crossing with a determined defiance. He stuck his tongue out at her. "You should get something to put on that, y'know. It'll hurt more if you don't," He said, pointing out the obvious to get on her nerves as revenge for calling him freaky. He was dead! As if he could help that.

"I will as soon as I feel like getting up," Danielle replied acerbicly. So now he was giving her lip, huh? Well, two could play that game. "If you know how freaky it is first-hand, then you're pretty relaxed about it now!" Fifty years? That meant he'd died in 1957.... What a different world it had been, then.... "Could you at least, you know, pretend you have gravity, or something?"
"Again, dead for fifty years! I'm used to it now. Just because you aren't doesn't mean I have to act the way you want me to. You're the one who's invading my personal space by moving into my room," He said, the ****y fifteen-year-old attitude of many males to the current date had shining through. He was faking it, of course, being the most innocent thing at heart.
He was just copying all those boys that liked to come around Halloween and mess with the house.

"Your room?" Pain forgotten, Danielle got to her feet. "You're not even physical anymore! This is my room now. So you lived here once- okay, fine, got it. You're still attached. But we have a saying, where I came from. 'Let- it- go.' How can you need a room if you're not a physical being? Shouldn't you have passed on by now, anyway?" she added, suspiciously. Her eyes went to the ajoining bathroom- the only reason she'd consented to the attic room. She'd have to clean it herself, but it was worth it to not have to share one with her parents. Cleaning up her elbow sounded pretty good, right about now....
Jin paused, suddenly disappearing. He didn't want her to see his hurt expression as he began to yell. "How can you say that?! I didn't choose to die, didn't want to lose everything I had! My family didn't even stay here! They left! They moved on without me, and left me here! What was I supposed to do, go on without anything I knew? Did you want to move here? To lose all your friends? To have to start over? I'm pretty sure you didn't!" He yelled, the voice seeming to come from everywhere at one time.

Danielle paused. She slowly turned back from the direction where she'd been walking. He was nowhere in sight, but she pointed herself in the direction where she'd seen him last. "No...." she said slowly, voice softer. "No. I can't say I did...." Her hand lightly cupped the damaged elbow, and she walked back into the main room, sitting slowly down on the bed. "Would you like to talk more about what happened to you?..." It wouldn't hurt to listen, would it?... She'd try really hard not to let lingering signs of freaked-out-ness show. He'd sounded so hurt....
Jin's voice quieted in his reply, though it sounded even more injured now that the screaming had stopped covering it up. "... Why should I? You just want me gone so you can have my room to yourself. You're just hoping that maybe if I just tell you and get the greiving off my chest, I'll feel okay enough to pass on, aren't you?" He replied defiantly, trying to make her work for his forgiveness. He'd never been told so coldly to get over it, to basically just go away....
It hurt.

Danielle's anger prickled a bit again. "I was trying to be nice, actually," she said, acid showing at the edges of her tone. "I actually felt bad for you, like maybe I was being unfair. So I thought perhaps talking would help. But I can see you just want to argue. So forget it." Then she stalked into the bathroom, shutting the door behind her. Not that it would probably do any good if he wanted to follow, but she was peeved. She'd tried to make amends, and all she got was attitude? See if she made that mistake again....
Jin pouted a bit, sinking into the flooring and disapearing from sight for now. He went into the kitchen area, and sat on the floor, watching Danielle's mother as she walked around preparing dinner and grabbing things from boxes to put them away. He crossed his arms, invisible to everyone at that point in time as he simmered in his agitation.

Danielle patched up her elbow; it was a clumsy job, but it got it cleaned out. Man, did that peroxide sting.... When she went back into her room, her otherworldly roommate wasn't there. She could feel the difference in the air. How strange.... It seemed almost... emptier. Maybe he got so mad he passed on? That would be... bittersweet. Yes, it was better for ghosts to pass over. But somehow, doing so on a sour note like that felt wrong....
But what could she do about it? She trotted downstairs to see if her mother needed a hand with dinner. Danielle just didn't feel like being in her room anymore....
The moment she came into view, Jin let himself be fully visible to her, solid and tangible-- but only to Danielle. He didn't say a word, not wanting to screw up and let anyone else hear or see him. He only glared at her and stuck his tongue out, reluctant to give her any relief from his antics. He'd tick her off, and make her look stupid. It wasn't as if she knew that his mother couldn't see him. She had her back turned to the both of them, anyway.
Guendolen_Sama
11-15-2007, 11:23 PM
Danielle stuck her tongue out at him in return, then deliberately turned her back. So he was still hanging around, eh? Well, if he was going to reject her attempt to be nice, then she'd pretend he wasn't there.... She went over to the counter and grabbed a knife, starting to chop vegetables. "Hey Mom," she said, voice casual, any stories about this house? Say, that it's... haunted, or something?"
(Sorry, got to go. I'm going to see my brother for his birthday. I should be back in a couple of hours.)
(Alrighty. Have fun~!)
Her mother blinked at her. "Oh, you're not going on about that, are you? This house is old, Danielle. Any noises you hear are just going to be the house creaking. I've never heard anything about hauntings here, anyway."
Jin grinned, rising from the floor and deciding to warp his arms around Danielle in a tight, cold embrace. Oh, she was going to get him for this one.
Guendolen_Sama
11-15-2007, 11:27 PM
"Ah!" Danielle jumped, dropping the knife. She'd just been given a big... and cold... and invisible... hug. "Are you- sure? I mean, it seems like there's a cold spot right here- see-" She scooted to the side, trying to slide out of the spectral embrace.
(I will! See you later.)
Jin disappeared from sight, backing up a few feet to sit against the wall. Danielle's mother reached over, feeling the air around her. It was normal temperature. "Honey, you're just imagining things..." She tried to pass it off as nothing, not having any reason to believe her if she had no evidence. Jin giggled-- she couldn't hear it, but Danielle could.
Guendolen_Sama
11-16-2007, 03:22 AM
"Am not," Danielle muttered. "You'll see. There's something here." She shot a Look (yes, deserving the capital letter) up towards the ceiling. She knew where that giggle had come from.... Then the girl snatched up the knife, chopping carrots with vigorous intensity. Why the heck don't they ever see what I do? I do not have an over-active imagination. How two scientists produced someone who felt a connection to the occult was unknown....
"I'm sure all you felt was a draft, sweetie..." Danielle's mother said, trying to discourage the thoughts of paranormal activity. She wouldn't have it in her house, not so soon after moving! "And you're probably stressed from the move, as well. We all are, but you'd probably be best off taking more breaks if you're hallucinating from it..."
Jin sunk into the floor, mving along the ceiling of the cellar. When he was at the right spot, he let his body fly upward through the counter as Danielle was chopping the carrots, trying to scare her.

11-17-2007, 03:18 AM
"Hallucinating? I am not hallucinating, Mom! I was standing in a- waugh!" Danielle leaped back, dropping the knife with the spectral boy popped out into the counter. "Leave me alone!" she yelled, even knowing it seemed to be at thin air.
Danielle's mother jumped, dropping the plate into the water where she'd been washing it. "Good lord! What on earth are you yelling at?! There's nothing there, Danielle, calm down." She walked over to her daughter, putting her hands on her shoulders and rubbing them a bit. "Honey, go lie down for a little while, won't you? I'll call you down when dinner's done..."
Jin giggled, floating up into the air and through the ceiling, right into Danielle's room. He sat down on her bed, laying back and smiling. He let himself turn opaque, and with a little bit of energy, turned himself as solid as he could. It was hard, but he'd practiced many times a day for several long years-- he was pretty good at it.

11-18-2007, 03:36 PM
"Mom, I'm not randomly freaking out. I saw something. Has stress ever made me hallucinate before? No! I'm telling you, there's something in this house! It- it's a boy. About my age. He's pale, has dark hair.... I think he died here...." Not thought, knew. But her mother would certainly never believe she'd talked to him....
"But you're still upset. Why don't you go back upstairs, sweetie?" her mother said.
"No. Not upstairs. I'll go chill on the couch...." Danielle meandered into the living room. She was staying out of her room for as long as possible....
Danielle's mother sighed, shaking her head a bit. "Sometimes... I swear..."
Jin was silent as he laid on the bed for a while, thinking since he didn't need to sleep. After a little bit, he stood up and walked downstairs, or rather, floated. He didn't want to make any noise. He moved into the living room, still solid as he sat down on the floor next to the couch Danielle was on.

Danielle had flopped out on her back, arms folded under her head. She'd been staring at the ceiling, every now and then puffing a bit of red hair out of her eyes. They never believe me. If they can't analyze it, they can't accept it.... It wasn't like she was claiming to see supernatural things everywhere, was she? She did try to explain it logically first. But sometimes... things happened. And this was the biggest "thing" yet.
She was all too aware of her ghostly visitor wending his way to her location. Danielle tried to ignore him, but well, it was pretty much impossible. "Here to play more tricks?" she muttered softly.
Jin shook his head, leaning back. "Nah... I don't wanna ruin the fun too early," He said with a laugh behind his voice. He sat forward on his knees, then stood up next to Danielle. "You know... I do like some of the things about being dead. Like..." He pressed his fingers to the side of Danielle's face. They were cold, but they were... solid. "That."
"And..." He leaned in, pressing his lips to her cheek before turning himself translucent once more, unable to be touched. "That~!" He chimed, before sinking into the cellar again.

Danielle all but fell off the couch. She wanted to throttle him.... But it was too late. She muttered cursed under her breath, thumping her fist against the couch. It wasn't enough. She grabbed a cushion, hurling it at the wall. Still not enough.
"I'm gonna throttle his spectral butt!" she hissed. Danielle rolled off the couch, clambered to her feet. And set off for the basement stairs.
The cold spot on her cheek was still tingling....
Jin had turned himself completely invisible, waiting for her to come downstairs. Once she had, he went and shut the door, locking it and propping a chair up against the door from the other side. He then went into the room and sat on a counter up against the wall that had been used as a workbench of sorts.
It was only after this that he made himself visible.

Danielle had been looking around with some suspicion. No sign of the kid.... It was cold down here, but then again, that was no different, was it? It was always cold down here. That was the nature of your average basement. Especially as this one hadn't been "finished" yet.
The door clicked behind her. Danielle turned. She hadn't closed it.... Her hand tested the knob. Locked.
"Okay, that's it-" She spun around, red hair flying. That was when she spotted him perched on the bench. "That's not funny! How am I supposed to get out of here?" She stalked across to him, hands on her hips, elbows akimbo.
Jin shrugged. "I dunno. I mean, I can get out. But, that doesn't mean I'll let you out. You can always scream for your parents, but what will they think when you tell them you were locked downstairs by a ghost? Especially after what your mother just said to you." Damn, this kid was being an ass.

"There's got to be a door outside down here. Always is. I just need to find it...." It was so dark down there. Why in blazes was there only one small ceiling light? "After all, I can't float through walls like you...." He was being an idiot, and it peeved her to no end. She just wanted away from here....
((Coming back to this, but I don't know about Open Your Eyes anymore. e_e; They didn't have the decency to stop, and now I'm way behind... Sorry about this wait...))
"My point exactly~! I can get out, and you can't~! And, by the way, the door to outside's been covered over with a foot or two of dirt and such. You see, this place used to have a little hill to the side, but it kind of weakened through the years... and in a bit of a mudslide, the cellar door got buried." Jin closed his eyes, concentrating. A strange cold filled the air, a feeling of paranoia more than likely coming over Danielle at this point as Jin made himself solid again. Weightless, cold, but solid nonetheless.

(Welcome back! Where on earth have you been?... And aw, I can't play Hitomi anymore? I never really got the chance to do anything with her! I'm so disappointed.... And I can see why they kept playing for so long. I mean, no one had any idea when you would be back, you know?)
Danielle's spine rippled. Cold... unnatural cold. Not basement cold. Which mean... he was screwing with her again.... Paranoia was bubbling up, yes, but so was anger. She hated being jerked around. "So what is your point? You planning on keeping me down here? What good will that do you?" She folded her arms, irritation plain.
((Yeah, but Psych knew I was really sick. =/ She apologized for not stopping herself and Star, though... Yeah, the sickness I had... >_> <_<; It was a respiratory infection, ended up with my asthma going haywire. Ugh, never gonna take nebulizers for granted.))
Jinrolled his shoulders and stood, walking around her in a circle. His foot tapped against the ground rather solidly. "Well, it's been forever since I've gotten to mess with anybody, and you're being a rather good test subject for poking fun at... Y'know, you're falling for every bit of it. It's really funny."

"Falling for it? Fun to mess with?" Danielle plunked her hands on he hips. "Well, two can play this game! You think it's fun to mess around with me? To jerk someone around? Well, I'm not going to take it lying down! I will find a way to jerk you right back!"
((No problem~! And thanks.)
Jin put his hand on her shoulder, smiling innocently at her. "Good luck with that. You'll need it, I promise," He challenged, before letting her go and walking around, right through anything that was in his path as he circled her again. It was so amusing to make her steam...

What. A little. Jerk.... Danielle's glare was so strong that if she had super powers, she'd have been blasting flaming eye-beams through the walls.... But if he was bunking for a reaction, well, you know what? She'd do all she could to not give him one. "I'll find a way...." was all she said, darkly. Then she sat down on the tool bench, folded her arms, and silently waited. Still scowling.
Jin clasped his hands together suddenly, and sank into the ground. He came up behind her, leaning around to blow a little bit into her ear, just to tick her off. It was just so fun to see how he could bother her. He had a lot of options to try, in his state, making this all the more worthy of doing in the first place.
(And, judging by the 11:33 on my clock and the poor post quality, it's bed time. Night!)

Danielle jumped, just a little, a jerking movement. It took a lot of her self-control to keep from jumping off the bench.... "You do that again, and I'll smack you next time you go solid," she told him. "I don't let guys do that unless I'm dating them, you know."
(I need to go to bed soon too. See you tomorrow!)
Jin laughed a little bit, floating away and into the air. "What? You know that, no matter what you do, I'm gonna win, right? I mean, come on. If you say something or threaten me, I'm getting a reaction. If you jerk or jump, I'm getting a reaction. If you're silent and calm, I still know you're doing that just so you don't make a fool of yourself, so I'm still causing it~ No matter what, I'm getting what I want," Jin smiled, crossing his arms triumphantly. "Not to mention, if I get bored I can just leave you here.

"Man, now I know how you must've died," Danielle muttered. "You were so annoying, someone probably throttled you...." He was so. Darn. Smug. It was so aggravating.... "And if you leave me down here, I'll just holler until Mom hears me and opens the door. Otherwise, what'll you do? Let me starve to death?" Huh, maybe he wanted a ghost girl to keep him company.... Like hell I'll be that.
