In a long time past there was a famous vampire clan whom ruled over the large town of Acrutiania, a human town that is.But finally, a group of hunters began to kill them off and then dissapeared themselves after freeing the town of the nightly terrors that came into the town.But now..there is one of them back, and though no one realizes it, this one will stop at nothing to get back at them for the killing of his clan.By sucking the town dry of blood that is..you see he isn't living to well, but maybe love can stop this...but love between human and vampire?How forbidden can it get , especially when she is the heiress to the preistess hood there!

Personaility: Mostly a typical introvert. She's not very outgoing and keeps to herself most of the time, and it can be difficult to figure out what she's thinking at any given moment. And she does have a rather fiery temper, but it takes a lot to make her mad.

Azael sat upon the branch of a tree.It was nighttime in the town and Azael watched for any day dwelling fool to come by him , he was hungry and in a bad mood at the time so anything to cross his path would get bit.

"Great I am in so much trouble!" Iria said to herself as she ran through the deserted streets. She was suppose to be back at the temple by now and of course she was late, which meant she would probably end up getting another long lecture. Then again, when that happened she just acted like she was listening and no one ever figured out that she hadn't heard a word that was said.

Azael saw Iria in an instant and was determined to get her before she so much as took another step.He'd heard her name well asleep many times..she was the heiress..if he got her..this town would be toast.His red eyes gleamed with pleasure and he jumped down and grbbed her shoulders from behind and bit into her neck.

"What the......" Iria didn't even have a chance to finish her thought before something grabbed her from behind and bit into her neck. She would have screamed if she could have, but a hand was clamped over her mouth keeping her from making a sound. Even her fighting against whatever had her trapped didn't seem to help much, but that didn't stop her from putting up a decent fight until she finally passed out from blood loss.

Azael smiled and licked his lips of whatever blood was left on them, "How pitiful...might as well savour this one though...her blood wasn't half bad."

He picked up the unconcious girl and walked over to the temple which, coincedently wasn't to far from there, leaving her on the doorstep before walking off.

Iria was to out of it to even realize that she'd been left on the temple steps, and even when one of the younger priestesses found her and got her inside she didn't wake up. Then again with the bite marks on her neck it wasn't hard to figure out what had happened to her, and that put everyone on alert. If vampires had indeed returned to the city then no doubt that was an ominous sign for all of them.

Azael was always able to walk in the sunlight unlike othes of his dwindling clan and smiled with c.ockyness as he walked about.No one knew he was a vampire and nobody could se his fangs, so he need not worry about being caught as he walked about in the daylight with humans all about.

After glancing out from the alley where she was hiding, Iria stepped out into the streets while making sure her cloak hid her face. Since she woke up later that morning everyone had been on edge with the most recent vampire attack, and since she'd been the one attacked they'd made it a point to keep her within eyesight at all times. Of course she argued about it but no one really listened to her anyway, so she decided that the only way she was going to get out was to sneak away without getting caught.
"Well guess all that practice paid off." She said to herself as she kept her head down so her face would remain hidden.

Azael bumped into Iria's cloaked figure and ended up probably knocking her over and stared at her, "Huh..and who are you?"

He looked at her agitatedly, not remembering her face even in the slightest so far.

"N-no one important." Iria stammered as she quickly stood up, and thankfully the hood of her cloak hadn't fallen or else she'd have been caught for sure.

Azael's ears hadn't just tricked him had they?That was the girl from last nights voice..the preistess.He smirked and tuged onto her hood, making it fall down and brought his face dangerously close to hers, red eyes flashing brilliantly with a sort of hypnotic vibe, "I know you...your that preistess girl..."

(The hypnotic thing is something I figured out a while ago..they can use hypnosis I've heard to dull pain..or maybe my info is false ^^; )

"W-what if I am?" Iria said as she tried to look away from Azael, but it was like something kept her from doing even that. She didn't even notice when the hood of her cloak fell away from her face, so whatever hypnotic spell he was using on her had her completely in his control.

He stroked the side of her face, though mentally, he knew he hated to do so, though her skin was quite soft."Then your kinda cute..."

His alluring eyes looked away from her and he disspeared into the crowd as he heard voices shout out for Iria.

"Okay, what just happened." Iria thought to herself but she was brought back to reality when she realized she'd been caught.

"Oh crud." She muttered under her breath before she walked out with an irritated sigh. Well since they found her she might as well let them know she was okay, of course now it'd be even harder for her to sneak out but she'd figure out something.

Azael nearly cracked up.He always loved using his eyes like that on humans, though he couldn't help but admit that she was indeed a very cute human girl.Unlike some of the others he had bitten before.It was a good thing he'd taken her from behind last night or she would have recognized him quickly, he knew that much and night would soon fall in the town again anyways.

"What was up with that guy anyway?" Iria asked herself as she stood on the balcony of her room and leaned against the stone railing. Once again she was stuck in her room like always, and needless to say this was starting to get irritating. In all honesty, she hated being the only heiress to some kind of family line that she didn't really care for anyway. It was more trouble then she liked, but no one really seemed to care about her opinion on the subject.

Night was quick to fall and he was hungry again.Of course, no vampire had ever been as hungry for blood as Azael was..but that might have something to do with the fact he'd not had any blood -only water- for many years.Since he was still little infact.But this night was special.Some kid was stupid enough to come and explore the dark that night and was immediatly killed by him on the spot, every last ounce of his blood taken by Azael.

Using the dark hallways for cover, Iria silently raced down the narrow corridors while making sure to keep out of sight. She hated being stuck inside all day, and if she had to get out at night then so be it. She wasn't afraid to go out at night like everyone else was, and she was not going to stay locked up in this temple for the rest of her life. Of course she didn't actually let her guard down until she was outside and then she raced away from the temple without even looking back.

Azael tossed the dead kid aside as if the kill meant nothing to him -which was true- and lapped up the remaining blood on his lips.He couldn't wait to see the peoples reactions when they found his dead body in the middle of the town square.He smirked and sat down on the ledge of the fountain, red eyes gleaming happily in the darkness.

"What the.......oh my god!" Iria just stared in horror at the child's body that now lay in the middle of the street, but what sent a chill down her spine was the two bite marks she saw on his neck.
Which meant that whatever had killed him was probably the same thing that attacked her.
"Don't just stand there run for it!" She screamed at herself and without being told twice she raced down the street with the full intention of getting as far away from that scene as possible.

It didn't take much effort for Azael to hear Iria's voice in the darkness of the town.He sighed and ran infront of her, catching her eyes with his red ones, "Now where do you think your going little miss....?"

He took her hand , keeping eye contact and mock bowed to her, trailing his fingertips down her wrist.

"Nowhere." Said Iria as the same hypnotic spell from before kept her from running like she wanted to. She knew she should be trying to get as far away from Azael as possible, but she felt glued to where she was standing as he kept her hand in his own.

Azael smiled he could feel the pulse in her wrist, and as much as he wanted to feed from this girl, he decided to end their second encounter, "Why don't you just forget this...."

He took his eyes away from her and walked off, though he felt tat maybe next time, he might try to lean of the human...make her trust him..she was the heirres after all and that would prove to his advantage.

Iria quickly shook her head to clear off the daze she felt right then, and when she glanced around Azael was no where in sight.
"Okay that was rather strange." She said to herself before she noticed that it would soon be daylight, which meant that she needed to get back to the temple before her abscence was noticed.

Azael was siiting in a tree watching as one by one, people started to come out of their houses for the day, and one by one they all began to yell and scream and panic over the dead boy.He smirked.

By the time it was midday, word had spread to the temple of the most recent vampire attack. That was proof enough to them that vampires were once again returning to the city, which meant that keeping the heiress under constant guard was top priority. Of course, that put Iria in a foul mood but what could she do about it? All she was to these people was some precious object they needed to protect, and she hated it with a passion.

"I swear if I can ever get away from here for good, it'll be to soon." She muttered under her breath as she stormed out onto her balcony.

Azael had actually been watching her for a while and jumped near her, floating just infront of her balcony, he smiled at her, "Why hello."

He knew his cover was completly blown, but that didn't matter at all.

Needless to say Iria almost screamed when Azael appeared in front of her but she kept quiet so that hopefully he wouldn't be noticed to soon.
"Umm...h-hello." She said as she took a few steps back away from him.

It was if he was walking on air and in moments he was sitting on the balcony railing, staring straight into her eyes."Well its certainly nice to see a cutie like you again you know?Bein' an heirress too much for you yet?"

"Don't ask." Said Iria as she dared to let her irritation at the whole situation show. Although why she did that she didn't know, but at least someone was even bothering to listen to her.

He hopped down from the balcony railing and walked inside her room, "Well, I guess I can understand slightly.I only have one problem."

"And what would that be?" Asked Iria as she followed Azael into her room while watching him with a suspicious look in her eyes.

His ruby eyes seemed to glow as she asked that question and he turned around to face her, "My race is dwindling quite fast.....I'm meerly out for revenge preitess."

"And what does that have to do with me?" Asked Iria. Honestly she really didn't know because she only knew about half the story of her ancestors, and that's only what they wanted to be told. So anything else she knew nothing about.

He stepped closer to her catching her eyes and taking her chin in his hand, "It has everything to do with you."

Maybe there was rage in his voice, but some type a of bitter emotion backed his words.

"What do you mean?" Asked Iria as her own maroon colored eyes glanced into his red glare. Something about the way he said that made her nervous, and she knew she didn't like it one bit.

Azael smirked and allowed his vampiric fangs to flash.He chuckled, "Well thats just none of your business."

He stared at her with hate.

Iria quickly took a few steps back when she noticed the look on Azael's face. The look of pure hatred was enough to make anyone flinch, and Iria wasn't any different.

Azael took a step forward and pressed a point in her neck that would actually start to numb her entire body.He smirked in a hating way, "Seems you've got the hint...its all thanks to your family my race is dieing out...."

Iria didn't even get the chance to say anything as her entire body suddenly grew numb. She couldn't even get away from Azael, and him being that close to her definitely made her nervous. Mainly because she knew there wasn't any reason she could give him for him not to kill her right then and there.

He pulled her wrist towards his lips, smiling at the pulse that came from it, "Your mine now...and no one will say otherwise."

Azael bit into her wrist, savoring the blood that he could get there and when he withdrew, he licked the skin there, an imprintment of a rose making itself known there.That was his mark to make her his possiesion..He smirked and walked away, the numbing probably going to leave her body by the time he was gone.

Iria just fell to her knees after Azael had left, but after a few minutes she quickly stood up and glanced down at her wrist.
"What did he mean by now I was his?" She thought to herself, but the sound of someone knocking on her door brought her back to reality.

"Coming!" She called out as she grabbed a dark colored wristband and placed it over the rose shaped mark before she walked over to the door.

Azael stared up at the sky, smirk staining his face.He was in such a good mood right now he could have lived, "So it begins...that mark will probably cause her pain for a few days...but it should go away."

For the most part Iria didn't have much trouble hiding the rose shaped mark on her wrist, but it was more difficult hiding the fact that it felt like something was burning into her wrist over the next few days. However, somehow she managed to pull it off and soon enough the burning pain vanished just as quickly as it had come.

"I wonder, how many more secrets my family kept from me." Iria said to herself as she sat on her bed and fingered the mark. True she'd known her family had defended the town from some force that tried to invade it years ago, but that was all she'd known. She really had known nothing that it was vampires they had slaughtered, and in all honesty she wasn't sure how she felt about that bit of information.

It was then Azael chose to return to her balcony.He'd already killed ten more of the humans in the town and was quite pleased with himself.While he sat on the balcony, he smiled, content with his work and the screams for the dead that had filled the air.

Because she wasn't sitting close to the balcony, Iria never even noticed that Azael was out there again. Of course half of that was probably because she was so lost in her own thoughts again but oh how quickly that could change.

Azael soon hopped off the balcony and walked into her room without a sound, smirk wide across his face without a care in the world.

Iria whirled around when she heard someone walking up behind her, but when she saw it was Azael she quickly backed away from him.
"What do you want?" She asked as she kept her eyes locked on him while watching his every move.

Azael leaned forward, locking eyes with her, "Aww....am I not allowed to just come and see you?"

His voice was taunting.

"Well I wonder why you even come here, since you hate me so much." Said Iria as she kept her distance from Azael.

Azael's hand reached out and latched onto her neck, stroking the pulse that was there, "I don't always have to have reason...but maybe I do."

Iria cringed slightly as Azael's hand ran over her neck. Needless to say she would have loved to ask what he meant by that, but for now she kept silent.

Azael turned away from her and inspected the room, and then her marked hand, "Ah, so it is still there....thats good."

"Well I wonder just how good a thing that is." Said Iria but she kept her face and her voice emotionless. She did not want him to see or hear the unease she felt right then, but how well she pulled that off she didn't know.

Azael looked at her with a blank face, "Your hiding an emotion...I can tell.."

He wasn't stupid.His family had taught him long ago how to read any expression.

"Maybe I am....." Said Iria but no sooner had she said that when she made a run towards the door. True it was a risky move, but she wasn't going to stay here just let him bite into her neck again.

He was infront of her before she could so much as touch the doorknob, "Where do you think your going?"


Azael laughed, smirk on his face.

"Away from you!" Iria replied as she backed away from Azael. At this point she wanted to be as far away from him as possible, even if she couldn't exactly get away from him.

Azael laughed and walked towards her scruffling her hair and walking past her towards the balcony and then dissapearing.

Iria just stared out at the balcony with a look of mixed emotions on her face, but at this point she was just glad he left without biting her again. However, what was he up to really? Was he just toying with her or was there more to all this? At this point she really wasn't certain.

Azael smirked to himself as he sat on a tree not too far away from the temple itself.He'd been getting weaker lately, he'd not killed in a while.Azael was running low on power for the time so all he could really have done was tease at the time.He sighed to himself, "How pitiful of me.....can't bring myself to kill for some reason..."

Over the next few days Iria didn't see any sign of Azael, aside from the usual dead body that showed up since he came here. Of course no one had caught him yet so it was still being debated as to whether or not vampires really were coming back or if this was just the work of some creature passing through here.

"I am getting so sick of all this talk, what's the big deal anyway?" Iria muttered under her breath as she walked down the hallways of the temple. Once again she'd been confined to the building, and at this point it was near impossible for her to find a way to sneak out. However, if there was one thing Iria had it was her stubborn streak and she was going to get out of here one way or another.

The dead bodies lately definatly weren't Azael doing and he knew it.When he started to starve for some reason, be it lack of blood intake or deciding not to bite, he got like this and didn't do anything.It irritated him to no end that he could not find the cause to his unabled ability to drink blood.Maybe his body wasn't letting it near him for some reason.Azael didn't care so much and stopp by Iria's balcony again, taking two steps into the actual room before collapsing unconcious from lack of blood.

Iria almost jumped sky high when she heard something in her room, but when she walked over to see what had caused the commotion she muttered a curse under her breath as she quickly locked her room door.
"Fine place to pass out." She hissed under her breath as she walked over to Azael, even though she was edgy about getting to close to him.

Azael didn't move nor did he wake up.His body was completly paralyzed and wasn't letting him move about anytime soon.

"Great....so now what?" Iria said to herself as she glanced at her door before turning her gaze back on Azael. Well at this point all she could really do was wait for him to wake up, whenever that happened to be, so she just sat down on the floor next to him. Of course what she hadn't anticipated was falling asleep but sure enough she did, but her door was locked so there wasn't much chance of anyone coming in without her permission.

Azael's conciousness soon came back to him after what seemed to be hours, although he was in a daze and his instincts finally took over when he saw Iria.Though she was asleep, his shaky hand reached up to her face and pulled it down so that he could bite into her neck, which he did.

Iria woke up just as Azael bit into her neck, but she quickly choked back a scream. The last thing she wanted was for someone to come barging into her room, and she certainly wasn't going to give him the satisfaction of hearing her scream either.

He became fully aware of his surroundings only now that he'd taken 1/3 of her blood.His eyes were still hazy though and he stared at her face, "Thanks for not screaming I guess..."

"Yeah well.......not much else I could have done...." Said Iria as she avoided his gaze, only to have her eyes once again glance down at the rose mark on her wrist.

Azael put a hand on the side of her face and then let go, standing up."Well, thanks for the blood.I haven't eaten in a while you know..."

He began to walk towards the balcony, smirk on his face.

"Yeah enjoy it while you can." Iria thought to herself, but she didn't dare say that since he already hated her enough. Call that another mark against her family, and at this point she knew she was going to get out of here at the first opportunity.

Azael turned his head a bit to look at her, "Oh, and expect a 'speical' package tommorow on the temple steps..."

With that he hopped up onto the balcony railings and disspeared as though he'd never been there.

"Now what did he mean by that?" Wondered Iria to herself, but she didn't bother thinking much about it as she dragged herself up onto her bed and quickly fell asleep. If anything happened then she would never know it, and she was perfectly fine with that since she just wanted to forget all of this unpredictable mess for now.

Azael smirked as he stalked throughout the temple.He came to the outside of Iria's room and unlocked the door, opening it a smidgen and walking away from it, going towards the head preitesses room and slipping inside to find the woman asleep."Hiya...time to wake up."

The woman woke slowly and nearly screamed as she saw him but he grabbed her wrist and slapped a hand over her mouth , biting into the plus of her wrist and dragging the now bloodless preistess out to the front steps of the temple, then dissapearing into the night.There would definatly be screaming that morning.

The next morning, Iria woke up to the sounds of complete and total chaos inside the temple.
"What in the world?" She thought to herself as she quickly changed back into the plain black and purple dress she usually wore, but she was even more bewildered when she noticed that her door was unlocked and left open. However, she didn't think much of that as she stepped out to see what was happening.

"Excuse me but what's going on?" Iria asked one of the younger priestesses as the girl ran past her.

"It's the High Priestess my lady, last night she was murdered!" Exclaimed the younger girl, and Iria felt a jolt of shock run through her at that news. Without asking anymore questions she raced to the front of the temple, and sure enough a crowd had already gathered around the front steps where the High Priestess' body lay completely drained of blood.
"So that's what he meant." Iria thought to herself as she gazed at the scene in disbelief.

Azael watched from above and cast one of his spells, making sure one of the young preistesses noticed."Look!A message is being spelt out in blood!"

And sure enough where the young woman waspointing, letters began to form seemingly out of now where reading:

dear humans,

By now I should expect you know that I am plaguing your town and started to kill you off.Well, my revenge will soonbe complete and you will despise the day you decided to kill us off..this death marks the beginning of something so great, you cannot even imagine.

((Oooooo that is EVIL!!! What's he got in store for them I wonder....hehehehe......*Insert evil laughter*))

From where she was standing, Iria glanced up only to catch sight of Azael watching the scene from where he was keeping himself hidden.
"What are you schemeing now vampire?" She thought before she turned away from him and raced back into the temple. However, she hardly even noticed when her mark started ache just enough that it was noticeable but not unbearably so.

Azael noticed her run into the temple and slowly brought himself to the balcony, then sitting on its railings.He was quite pleased with himself.He knew that much.

It wasn't until Iria had reached her room and locked herself in when she noticed that Azael was back on her balcony.
"What do you want this time?!" Demanded Iria as she shot Azael a heated glare. She'd had enough of these games he was playing, and she wanted a straight answer out of him.

Azael laughed loudly as if she was the funniest thing in the entire world, "If you really wish to know..take a look at the mark that makes you my posseision."

"What about it?" Asked Iria as she ignored Azael's laughing while she turned her gaze down towards her wrist.

Azael smiled and clicked hsi fingers together, snapping them.The mark would most likely burn like hell fire on human skin but it was a way of showing her what he meant.Past events.

Needless to say Iria was not prepared for what happened next, but she forced herself not to scream as an intense burning sensation shot up her arm. Instead she just clutched her wrist close to her body as the mark seemed to burn deeper into her arm.

Azael snapped his fingers again to stop the fiery mark.He smirked and walked over to her, kneeling beside her body and placing a cool hand on her wrist, "See anything at all?"

"More then I cared to." Said Iria in a somewhat shaky voice. Everything he had showed her had been more then she cared to know, and apparently he found some kind of twisted amusement in all this.

Azael smirked and took his hand away, standing up and leaning against her wall, "Well then, that should help you understand the gravity of the situation."

"Then why don't you just go ahead and kill me? It shouldn't be that difficult if you hate me that much." Iria shot back as a cold glare crossed her eyes. True that was probably asking for trouble, but at this point she really didn't care.

Azael laughed at her viciously, "Excuse me?You don't think I'm not going to kill you do you?Because once the finishing blow comes to this town, your dead."

He walked over to her, grabbing Iria by her hair roughly.

Despite her best attempt not to, Iria couldn't help but cry out when he grabbed her hair and forced her up off the ground. However, everyone was already preoccupied with what was going on outside so no one even heard her or realized she was in danger.

Azael swung his arm -and her- and sent her flying against a wall, much force behind his throw.Rage was evident in his eyes, though he seemed pleased with what he had just done to her.

((Well if you count the fact that he evidently hates her then I can see why.......but we could always come up with something rather twisted that'll end up with him admitting he's fallen for her. Of course it's up to you, but I figured I'd add in a suggestion.))

Iria hit the wall with enough force that the blow knock her out cold. She didn't even noticed the rage in his eyes as she fell to the floor, but if she had she probably would have been even more afraid now then she had been before.

Azael's expression was contorted into anger and he clicked his fingers together, letting her wrist heat up like hell fire again.His hate was searing right then, maybe he needed to vent but it didn't matter.He jumped out of the room through the balcony.

By the time Iria woke up it was already nightfall, but the only thing she really noticed was that her wrist was burning again. However, compared to earlier, most of the pain had dulled since then but it was still enough that she noticed it.
"Damn you....." She thought as she pushed herself up off the ground and slid her wristband back on her arm to wear it concealed her tell-tale mark.

Azael found a lady wandering about the front of her home nervously as if she was waiting for someone and smirked.He'd make this kill brutal, anger needed venting after all.

While the woman wasn't looking his way, Azael gripped her neck from behind, the woman letting out a surprised gasp and trying to scream out as the loud cracking of what was probably her neck came into play.Her face contorted into pain as of she was trying to scream and he then snapped her neck like a twig, just enough to paralyze her completly.His clawed nails dug into back as he bit into her neck, draining away half of her blood and then ripping out a particularly large piece of skin from her neck.Frocing his hand through her stomach and to the otherside, he withdrew his arm and walked away from his bloodly and brutal kill, smile plastered to his face.What gave him more pleasure from the kill was that he'd killed a pregnant woman.

((Okay well Iria's mark gets found out and that nets her in some DEEP trouble, even though she didn't really have a choice in putting it there. Eventually Azael finds out and all hell breaks loose, cause I'm guessing that when he claims something he doesn't take kindly to anyone attempting to take it from him am I right?))

A few more days passed and so far Iria had seen no sign of Azael, save for the dead bodies that now seemed to constantly litter the streets. The entire town was now on constant alert, and no one dared walk the streets at night since that's when most of the unlucky victims were murdered. True Iria may know who was to blame for most of it, but she didn't dare say anything to anyone.
"And it's all because of you!" She thought as she glared down at the rose mark that was still visible on her wrist.

Azael had been quite pleased with his more brutal then usual kills as of late.They were postively wonderful to look at, and though the people expected it, the site of these gruesome murders made them fearful and scream everytime they saw a body.He then at this time decided to visit Iria, landing on her balcony as he did so often.

Unfortunately, this time Iria wasn't in her room. Earlier that morning she'd been taken to the only High Priest and Priestess that were still alive then, and all because of that rose mark on her wrist. Apparently someone had seen her mark before she could hide it, and it was common knowledge that a rose shaped scar meant that a person had been claimed as a vampire's possession. However, with her being the heiress to the only family line that could defeat vampires, this discovery was even more dire for everyone involved.

Despite her telling them that she hadn't let him mark her willingly, it was still decided that Iria be locked away within the temple's dungeon. It was to much of a risk allowing her to roam freely anymore, and so now she was nothing more then a prisoner within the temple itself.

Azael was slightly confused as to why she was not there, but smirked as soon as he realized why.[i]so shes imprisoned eh?They should know better then to lock up a vampires possesion or face his wrath.He walked over to her door, and instead of opening it up nciely, he smashed the door down with his foot, startling two young preitesses who were there.They screamed at the site of his red eyes, they were a sure fire way of guessing just what he was .The girls began to run but he killed them both quickly and moved on towards the temple's prison.

It wasn't long before the screams reached Iria, and she quickly raced to the her cell door in an attempt to see what was going on. However, it didn't take much for her to figure it out when the sound of a door being smashed, followed by several more screams, could be heard from down the dark hallway.

Azael would have destroyed the enitre place had he not found the prison she was being kept in any sooner.He walked over to her cell and smiled at her tauntingly, "Whoever thought putting a vampires posseision under lock and key was a good idea, obviously needs their head checked.I've killed atleast 100 preistesses in this damn temple already."

"Why does that not surprise me." Said Iria in a dry tone of voice as she glared coldly at Azael. In all honesty she wouldn't put it above him to just leave her hear and bring the whole temple down on her, which brought up another question. What was he doing down here coming after her in the first place? If nothing else she was certain he'd be glad to just be rid of her.

Azael busted open her cell and grabbed her wrist softly with a smile, "Well then. let us be on our way then."

He began to walk out of the lower chamber , pulling her along with him in his tight grip.

If this had been any normal case Iria probably would have asked what he meant by that, but she didn't get the chance as he kept dragging her behind him to who knew where.

He'd eventually gotten themselves out of the temple and into the air.He was headed in a certain direction and was holding her bridal style right about now , smirk on his face.

"Alright just where the hell are you taking me?" Demanded Iria as she shot another icy glare up at Azael. Despite the fact that he had gotten her out of the temple, she still didn't trust him at all.

Azael looked down at her without a flicker of emotion towards her glare and chuckled, "You know if you talk you might as well be dead here..."

He had landed in a small forest clearing where several small houses were, people with either red or blue eyes coming out.Only 5 did though and they looked about Azael's age, "Who's this Azael."

He smirked, "All will be revealed soon Draja."

"Damn I'm in trouble now......" Iria thought to herself when she realized that he'd brought her right to where the remnant of surviving vampires kept themselves hidden. If they found out who she was then she had all ideas she'd be dead faster then she could guess, and she'd count herself lucky if that's not what Azael had planned for her right then.

One of the girls stepped forward and huffed loudly, "Shes a human.We deserve to know don't we?"

Azael smiled at her kindly, "Yes, I understand that Mriria..just come to the meeting place and things will be sorted out."

Mriria was a beautiful girl, that was for sure.She had long ebony hair that reached down to her waist and crimson colored eyes that seemed to glow in a lively way, pale complection meerly adding to her looks.The boy from earlier Draja had a much more serious face then either Azael and Mriria and seemed to exude an air of authority as well.His hair was colored red and was curled slightly at the tips that reached just to his chin, teal eyes staring sharply at anyone nearby.azael then began to walk towards this place he called the meeting place, Draja and Mriria following after him.

Since Azael still had a rather tight hold on her wrist, Iria didn't have much choice but to follow him. However, that still didn't stop a trace of fear from shooting through her at whatever twisted scheme he might be planning for her.

They soon came to a small hut not much larger then the others and walked inside.The moment Azael sat himself and Iria down and Draja and Mriria sat down themselves and an immediate question came from Mriria, "Who is she exactly?"

Iria just glanced over at Azael as if waiting to hear what he would say, while at the same time staying ready to run just in case he told them everything. True she knew that wouldn't help her much but she wasn't about to just let them have at her if that's what it came to.

Azael laughed and answered her without a second thought, "This my dear Mriria is the heiress to the preistess hood.And she is a valuable pawn in this war."

Mriria smiled at him and looked at Iria without contempt, "I see...what are your thoughts Draja?"

He looked Iria over and then spoke, "She probably doesn't have too much use, but Azael is right, a reliable pawn."

Iria just sat there not meeting any of their gazes as they looked her over as if she were some object on display. Needless to say she did not like that one bit, but at this point she wasn't in much of a place to voice any objections to these plans of theirs.

Mriria gave a wide grin, flashing her fangs, "Well, since you guys don't really need her at the moment, can I have to human?"

Azael seemed slightly mad now,"No Mriria, Iria is my posseision so you aren't permited to do anything to her."

Mriria sighed in discontent and Draja stared at him, "You marked a human girl?Let alone this one?"

"Did he......just say what I think he did?" Iria thought to herself as she shot a sideways glance at Azael. True her being his 'posession' certainly had something to do with it, but the simple fact that he wasn't letting Mriria have at her was something she had not expected from him.

Draja meerly received a nod from Azael and a curt reply, "Yes, there is nothing more to it."

Draja shook his head in annoyance and stood up."Very well, I will inform the elders you've returned, for whatever short period of time that might be."

He walked out the door and Mriria whimpered, "Can't I have atleast one bite?I haven't had human blood in ages.."

Azael shook his head no, "Not on your life Mriria."

"Note to self, don't go near Mriria." That thought Iria planned to stick to since she had all ideas that vampire girl wouldn't think twice of sticking her fangs into her neck at the first opportunity.

Mriria stood up and walked out, "Alright, but make sure you visit Jujin."

Azael nodded and took Iria by the wrist, guiding her to a back room in the hut that had a two beds in it, though they were split off by folding walls."You'll be staying here."

"Do I even want to know how long I'm stuck here?" Asked Iria in her usual emotionless voice. In all honesty she did NOT like how this was playing out, but there wasn't much she could do about it either way.

Azael sighed in discontent, "As long as I need to stay...my blood thirst is higher then anyone in this remnant village...I'll return you eventually...well, if you even want to go back."

He exited the room and entered a diffarent one that looked like a kitchen.

Iria just watched him with a look of mild surprise on her face before she turned away and sat down on the bed. Already she could tell that the next few days were probably going to be rather long, and she certainly didn't like that thought. Well for now she'd just lay low and wait for the opportunity to come to her that she could get away, but that might be a little tricky if she wasn't careful.

Azael had found multiple things to make tea with in the kitchen and came back holding a cup of it, sitting it down infront of Iria, "Here you go."

"Thanks." Said Iria as she carefully picked up the cup he had given her, but she still kept a suspicious look on him since she still didn't trust him much. After all he'd made it perfectly clear that he hated her, so that didn't do much to lower her suspiciouns of his own motives.

Azael seemed tired for some reason and let her be by exiting the hut all together, probably to visit this man Mriria had mentioned named Jujin.

Once she was certain Azael was out of sight, Iria raced to the back of the hut where she'd spotted another window. After glancing out to make sure no one was around, she quickly climbed out and silently jumped to the ground before ducking down behind some nearby trees.
"Okay girl, this may be your only chance so make it count." She whispered to herself before she took off into the nearby forest. True she didn't know where she was going or what to expect, but getting as far away from that vampire as possible was her top priority at this point.

Someone jumped down infront of her before she could get much further and grabbed her by the wrist, blue eyes staring at her intensly, "So your Azael's posseision huh?Well then, your certainly not going that way."

He began to drag her back to the hut, which Azael had surely returned upon not finding Jujin.

"Let go!" Iria hissed as she fought against the vampire who was dragging her back towards the hut she'd just escaped from. It may not help her much but she certainly wasn't going to just let herself be dragged back.

The male vampire then stopped and glared at her hard, blue eyes seeming almost killer, "I wouldn't order me around missy"His hand snaked its way to the back of her neck and pressed very hard, "I could kill you right now if Azael hadn't claimed you and I wasn't a man of honor..."

He continued to drag her along instead of pulling her, which was entirely something differant then his earlier , more gentle treatment.

The way he looked at her sent a chill racing through Iria, and it was enough to stop her fighting as he kept dragging her back towards the hut. However, she was still cursing her luck and somehow she was going to figure out a way to escape.

Jujin soon brought her inside the hut with much irritation written across his face.Azael noticed and came forward, clicking his fingers to make her mark burn as Jujin let her go, "She give you a hard time."

Junjin shrugged, "Not particularly...she really shouldn't have tried to give me an order though...spoiled little girl."

Iria just glared at him as she held her wrist.
"That's it, I've got to get away from here." She thought once he finally released her wrist from his overly tight grip.

Azael chuckled, "What gave you that impression?"

Jujin didn't look impressed by his reaction and replied, "What I mean is seriously she thinks I'm just going to do what she says?I'm not her maid or something like some heiress probably has."

Azael sighed and shook his head.

"Oh yeah try being locked in a temple for half your life, that really colors your perspective!" Iria hissed angrily in response. Already she could tell she probably wasn't going to like this guy much, and she certainly didn't care if he liked her much or not.

Jujin would never kill a woman, but he certainly wouldn't care if he hit one so he kicked her, "Watch your toungue.Your a very lucky girl to have not been marked by someone other then Azael.He in the least is more merciful then the rest of us."

Azael sighed and shook his head, "Well Jujin, why don't we talk later?Tonight is not the time."

Jujin nodded and left.Azael leaned down infront of Iria and stared at her eyes long in hard, "Do you want to die or something?"

"What would you care, after all you've made it quite clear that you hate me." Said Iria as she shot Azael an emotionless glare. As if it would even matter if she showed any emotion at all right then.

Azael sighed and made his way towards the beds and laided down on his own, "Oh yes, thats right.I forgot, I'm not suppose to care for anything am I?"

He spoke in a slightly angry tone.

"You could have fooled me." Said Iria in a sarcastic tone of voice before she stormed behind the wall that seperated the two beds and collapsed onto her bed.
"Oh no you don't, don't you dare loose it now!" Iria thought to herself as she buried her face in her pillow, but that didn't stop a few tell-tale tears from falling down her face. This was just getting way to messed up for her liking, but she wasn't going to let anyone see how it was affecting her. Keeping her emotions hidden was something she never failed at, and she wasn't about to let that happen especially now.

Azael walked around the wall and looked down at her, trying to decided exactly what to do for the moment.He walked over and sat down next to her, watching her.

"What do you want?" Asked Iria, despite the fact that her voice was muffled by the pillow right then. However, she didn't bother looking up since she already knew it was Azael that was watching her.
Although what was really strange was that her voice didn't hold the usual sarcastic or angry tone that it normally did.

Azael hadn't expected there to be no sarcasm or anger so he touched the back her neck gently, "You alright down there?"

He questioned her , tilting his head to the side like a puppy.

"Not really, but it doesn't matter much anyway." Said Iria as she flinched slightly when he touched her neck. She still wasn't use to him getting close to her like that, even if it wasn't in a threatening way.

Azael made a sound that seemed like 'mmhmm' to anyones ears and hummed a bit as he walked from her back to his own bed, tired again for god knows what reason there was.

It had to have been past midnight before Iria silently slid out of her bed, but she wasn't really keeping track of time as she glanced into the adjoining room. Just as she thought Azael was still asleep, so with that advantage she ran back to the window and slowly glanced out. No one was within sight, true there were a few people walking around but no one was paying any attention to her particular area. With that in mind Iria silently climbed out of the window and used the darkness for cover as she vanished into the forest. This time she managed to make it without someone catching her, and once she knew she was well out of sight she began running as fast as possible. However, what Iria hadn't anticipated was running into more serious trouble as she went deeper into the forest or that she left a trail of fabric pieces from where the underbrush tore at the hem of her skirt.

Jujin had seen her run again but hadn't bothered to catch her, meerly followed her above, preparing a spell that would scare her worse then anything in the entire world.It was rather easy to keep track of her since she wasn't exactly being careful of how she was running through the forest and he soon cast a spell so the night would seem darker and the trees start to close in on her,wildlife soon seeming to think of her as sustenance.

Iria was so focused on running right then that she never even noticed that the forest seemed darker then normal, or that it was more confined in here then she thought it would be. However, she could not shake the feeling that something was following her but it wasn't until a low growl reached her ears that she knew she was definitely being stalked right then.
"Run girl RUN!!!" She mentally screamed at herself as she began running much faster then she had before, but with it being even darker now it was hard to see where she was going. Suddenly, the ground dropped out from beneath her and she screamed as she felt herself falling. However her scream was suddenly cut off as her body hit something, causing a sickening crack that she just barely heard before more pain shot through her entire body. For a few more seconds she fell before finally hitting the ground, but she didn't even know it seeing as she had fallen unconcious not long before. Now here she was at the bottom of some deep cliff with some very serious injuries, while the same animals that had been chasing her slowly began to creep closer to the unconcious girl.

Jujin smirked and lowered himself to the bottom of the cliff, his mission clearly fulfilled.He picked her up gently and made his way up the side of the cliff, walking all the way back to Azael's hut where he was awake upon hearing something loud and sharp go through the air.When Jujin laided her out infront of him, he left azael and her alone while Azael got ready to fix her wounds.

Iria was so out of it that she never even knew that she'd been brought back to the hut she had just escaped from, and there was no telling when she'd wake up because that fall had banged her up pretty badly. Needless to say if she'd been able to she probably would have really cursed her luck then.

Azael had begun to place his hands overtop her injuries and use a special form of magic to snap things back into place and heal her skin back up.He rarely ever did this for a human.

Once Azael was done with her, there was no trace of any of her former injuries. However, she still didn't wake up yet but at least now she didn't look like she'd been beaten half to death. Of course, that then left the simple question of why Azael had even healed her in the first place but that was a question that would have to wait for now.

Azael was tired to begin with so using that kind of technique required even more of his already withering capabilities for the moment.He needed sleep so he fell asleep overtop of Iria.

Of course Iria wasn't aware of this until she woke up, and despite her desire to scream right then she forced herself not to move or make a sound.
"Okay, just don't move or say anything, maybe he'll wake up before to much longer." Iria thought to herself as she stayed put. Although, in some kind of twisted way, this wasn't really that bad if she was completely honest with herself.

Truth be told, Azael was not going to wake up anytime soon and that was clear as two hours passed and he still had risen from his slumber.Probably dreaming of something that seemed appealing to him, he wasn't waking up.

"Okay that's it, I'm done waiting." Iria said to herself as she carefully disentangled herself from Azael and escaped back to her small room. Once again she'd come close to getting away only to have something stop her, in all honesty by now she was considering just giving up.
"It's no use, they're never going to let me go." Iria thought to herself as she sat down on the bed while gazing down at her lap, causing her long hair to fall around her face and completely conceal it from view.

Azael woke up only a matter of one hour later and hunched himself up into a sitting position with cloudly eyes, just like the time he'd collapsed inside Iria's room.

Iria didn't even know Azael was awake by now, seeing as she was in a different room right then. However, she probably wouldn't have said anything to him anyway if she had noticed that little detail.

Azael sniffe th air quietly and immediatly came acrosxs the scent of Iria's blood and propepd himself up on his feet, walking over to her bed and plopping down infront of her, staring straight at her pulse.

"If you're going to bite me just do it already." Iria said in an emotionless tone of voice, but she didn't even look up at him as Azael continued watching the pulse in her wrist.

Azael did not go for the pulse in her wrist, but the pulse in her neck, biting softly into that skin, completly unaware of what he was doing.This was how he got when he lacked blood.

Iria cringed as his fangs sank into her neck, but unlike before she didn't fight him as she just let him take whatever blood he wanted from her.

Azael came back to his original self and his eyes focused again as he pulled away from her."Thank you."

He stood up and walked into the kitchen to prepare something for her.

Iria didn't bother saying anything right then, since there really wasn't much point in her doing so. Instead she just stayed where she was and made no move to do otherwise until she felt like it, whenever that might be.

It didn't take him to long to cook the food and eventually, he came back out and walked over to her, placing the food out infront her and walking over to his bed agaiin.Mriria was coming to visit soon, he knew that.

Sure enough, about an hour later Iria had just taken the plate back into the kitchen when she noticed Mriria heading towards the hut.
"Uh oh, time for me to get out of sight." Iria said to herself as she ducked into her room before Mriria could catch sight of her. Something about that vampire girl made her nervous, so she preferred keeping out of sight when she was around.

Mriria came waltzing into the hut with a look of shear happiness on her face, joubelant as ever she called out for Azael, "Azael baby, Draja wants to see ya!"

Azael came towards her with and agitated face, "I hate it when you call me that...but anyways, what does he want?"

Needless to say if Iria wasn't worried about how they might react to hearing her, she would have burst out laughing at what Mriria called Azael. However, she quickly stopped herself from laughing before she let any slip.

Mriria breifed him on what Draja wanted and then Azael headed out the door, Mriria had said she'd watch his hut.Mriria smirked, "Hey girly?You here?"

"Crud...figures I'd get stuck with her." Iria hissed to herself while keeping her voice down so hopefully, Mriria wouldn't find her.

Mriria walked into her room to find Iria, "Why 'allo girly.Nice to see you again.Azael's gone to see Draja so I'm babysittin' ya."

She seemed extremely happy about this which was evident on her pretty face.Unlike most of the vampires, she wasn't bitter and upset about things...and maybe...even liked it a bit.

"Whatever." Said Iria with a careless shrug of her shoulders. As long as Mriria stayed away from her neck then she could tolerate the vampire woman, but other then that and she was going to keep her distance.

Mrira jumped and swung her arms around Iria's neck and shouted in a baby-like voice, "Awww....Iria doesn't like me!!!!"

She Hopped up and sorta cried like an idiot.A weird, vampire idiot.

Iria just stared at Mriria for a few tense seconds before she suddenly burst out laughing.

"I-I'm sorry but, that was funny!" Iria managed to say between her fits of laughter. Seeing Mriria, who just happened to be one of these vampires, acting like an idiot was pretty funny in her opinion. Mainly because that didn't fit with the way everyone else seemed to act around here.

Mriria stared wide eyed and then grinned, her fangs flashing and her red eyes glowed happily, "Its okay!I do hope we can be friends!"

She was very differant from the others and probably didn't care about Azael's plans at all for that matter.Mriria probably liked life as it was.

"Wait, you mean you want to be my friend?" Asked Iria as a surprised look appeared on her face. Needless to say she had not expected Mriria to say something like that, so that had really caught her off right then.

Mriria nodded and sat down infront of her, "Yes, thats right."

She titled her head to the side and smiled, her ebony hair hiding one of her eyes slightly.

For a few seconds the two girls just stared at each other before a small smile appeared on Iria's face.
"I think I'd like that, cause I've never really had a friend before." She said, and believe it or not that was a lot more true then she cared to admit.

Mriria's mouth gaped open and she hugged Iria tight once again and shouted out, "Sweet!!!Mriria's your first friend!"

She was a very enthusiastic person.

"You know you're definitely different for being a vampire." Said Iria, considering that Mriria seemed to be the only really hyper acting vampire she'd met.

Mriria pulled back and placed her hands on her hips, "Well, the others are just concerned with revenge.Some of us don't care and like you humans."She placed a finger on her lip, "You know what?"

"What?" Asked Iria as she leaned closer to Mriria, since she suspected that whatever the vampire girl wanted to tell her was something secret.

Mriria tapped all five her fingers like she was using a fan to do so and spoke, "A long time ago...when we still .lived in your town, humans began to kill us off for actually no reason really.We didn't rule them, we coexisted with you all.We fell in love, had families, and even protected you al..Thats wahy everyone is so mean towards you.Everything was perfect until then."

She gave a sigh and then smiled, "Azael, Draja, Jujin and everyone else doesn't realize it, but humans and vampires can coexist together again if given a chance.."

"So that's why everyone seems to hate me so much, it's all because of the things my family did then." Said Iria when the realization of what Mriria had just told her hit her like a jolt of electricity. If what Mriria said was true, and vampires really did just coexist with humans during that time then why did her family try and kill them? It just didn't make any sense.

"That makes me wonder just how many more lies I was told by the people who claimed to be protecting me." She said in a bitter tone of voice as a look of anger crossed her maroon colored eyes.

Mriria frowned and walked over to her, "Well....I guess hiding the truth was what they thought best, even though it wasn't."

She knew how to patch thing sup, but unfortunatly, Mriria knew that the only way to sort things out was to kill off the rest of the preistesses 9maybe leaving Iria alive) but by then, the humans might be to scared to coexist again."Its so possibly for us all to go back to perfect harmony..but its also just so hard...the killing will work but also make things worse."

"So either way, it's a loose loose situation." Said Iria, who could actually see perfectly what Mriria was talking about. Killing off the rest of those damn priests and priestesses would ensure that the lies they told never got out again, but at the same time it would only make people less welcoming of these vampires. Either way the situation wasn't really turning in anyone's favor, and Iria never really did like those kind of situations.

Mrira laided down on her stomach, propping her face up with one hand thinking hard, "You know..there just has to be a way that won't be lose lose...humans and vampires deserve to coexist together..."

She nibbled on her finger, a tendancy she had when wondering hard about something.

"Well I'm afraid that's something I don't know how to do." Said Iria with a frustrated sigh. All of this was just getting to complicated, and it left her feeling even more frustrated then before.

"And it's not like Azael and the rest of them are going to help us much, seeing as I have all ideas they'd rather just kill me and get it over with."

Mriria tugged at strands of her hair and rolled over onto her back, staring up at the ceiling with a frustrated sigh."Well...I know Azael doesn't intend on killing you...."

She mumbled this to herself and didn't care if Iria heard or not.

"Why wouldn't he? After all he's made it pretty clear that he hates me." Said Iria as she gazed at Mriria with an inquisitive look in her eyes.

Mriria looked up at her with sly eyes, "Well if you honestly can't tell then he should tell you, not me."

She grinned and began to chew on a strand of hair that made its way to her mouth at some point.

"Okay now you've got me confused." Said Iria as she eyed Mriria with a bewildered look.

Mriria giggled and waved a dismissing hand towards her, "Don't think about it too hard hun, its not important right now."

"Well okay, if you say so." Said Iria with a shrug of her shoulders. Although really now Mriria had her wondering just what she had meant by her comment, but she didn't have much of a chance to think about it when she caught sight of Azael from out a nearby window.

"Well talk about irony, we start talking about someone and here he comes." She said with a rather wicked smirk on her face.

Mriria giggled and began to walk out the door, "No kiddin'"

She smacked Azael a high five like one would when their shift was up and he walked in, "Did she bite you?"

"No, she stayed clear of my neck." Said Iria as she pointed towards her neck to show that there were no bite marks there.

Azael smiled at her, "Okay."

He walked about the hut, seeming to be looking for something now.

Iria just watched him with a slightly bewildered look on her face before she felt brave enough to voice her question. "What are you looking for?" She asked as she kept her quizzical gaze on him.

Azael looked back at her with a blank expression and then one of amusement, "Nothing special."

It wasn't like he was just gonna tell her that so quickly.

Iria just watched him for a few more seconds before she left and walked back into her own small bedroom. Like it or not being around Azael for any length of time still made her nervous, despite the fact that Mriria claimed he wasn't out to just kill her yet.

He finally found what he was looking for in a cabinet and shouted out its name with a triumphant grin, "Eureka!"

What he was holding was a small emerald stone that seemed to have nits and pieces of other differant kinds like flourite, pearl, gold, sapphire, ruby, and topaz inside it.Many more stone types were collcted inside it though.

"Guess he found what he was looking." Said Iria to herself when she heard Azael's shout, but she just shrug her shoulders as she went back to glancing through the small bookshelf that sat in a corner of the bedroom.

Azael walked into his own room and went over the stone called Eureka carefully.He was making sure it was still properly intact and that the other gems had remained with it.

By now Iria had found something that looked interesting, and once she slid the book off the bookshelf she walked over to a nearby chair and sat down before opening the book to the first page. If nothing else at least this could keep her from being bored to death, or so she hoped anyway.

Azael pulled something that looked like that of a small cracking tool out of his pocket.He then began to pund its sharp and slightly blunt end against a corner of the stone, trying to take a small piece away from the Eureka stone.

Iria heard some kind of noise coming from Azael's room, but she didn't dare go over there to see what he may be up to. She wasn't much of one to push her luck very much, and at this point she figured staying put and keeping unnoticed would keep her from doing that.

Azael had managed to break off a piece and walked over to her side to give the small chunk to her, "Hey, Iria."

"What?" Asked Iria as she glanced up at him when she noticed he was standing right in front of her. Although she couldn't help but tense up a bit with how close he was to her, but considering the last few incidents it wasn't hard to figure out why she did.

He smiled down at her and kneeled beside her, handing it over to her, still grinning wildly, "Protection stone.Don't want you dieing after all."

He got up and left to put the whole Eureka stone back to where he'd found it.

Despite her attempt not to let it show, Iria knew she had a slightly shocked look on her face. Needless to say she had not been expecting Azael to give her something like that, and it was even more shocking hearing his comment as to why he gave it to her.
"Okay, that was definitely unexpected." She thought before she placed the small stone into the pocket of her black skirt.

Azael was beginning to plan over something.He was going to bring her back soon, back to her home.But the question was, what would they do to her?He'd find that out three days later.The hut's door could be heard being opened and through it came Draja.

Iria heard someone step into the hut, and she knew it couldn't be Azael since he was already there. So she stood close to the door where she'd be out of sight and listened out to see if she could hear who was there.

Azael must have heard them come inside to because he went out of his room to find Draja inside, "Oh, Draja.Do you need something?"

Draja nodded and sat at the table near the entrance, "Yes actually.I came to see if you still posess the Eureka stone."

"Eureka stone, why does that sound familiar...." Iria thought to herself as a somewhat bewildered expression crossed her face, but she kept listening so that maybe she'd hear something that would explain things.

The Eureka stone was the very same one he'd broken a piece of to give to Iria.Azael smiled and brought it out from the place he'd put it back insde of, "Of course.I'd never lose it."

Draja smiled and took it out of his hand, examining it, "It truly is the real thing.Such a rare rock infused with flourite, pearl, gold, sapphire, ruby, topaz, lapis Lazuli, aquamarine, emerald and many more.I thought I'd never see this again."

Azael laughed, "Well, it is a protecting stone, if I lost it I'd be no better then a rabbit."

Iria just glanced down at the small stone Azael had given her.
"This must be a piece of that Eureka stone, if it's meant to protect me like he said." She thought to herself, but it still left her a little confused as to why he'd give her something like this in the first place.

Draja looked at him carefully and then placed the Eureka stone back in Azael's hand, walking towards the front door, "I see....just keep it away from Jujin and Mriria."

Azael looked at him confused by sighed and nodded as Draja left.

((Wait......don't tell me Mriria's going to end up using Iria as a way to get to the Eureka stone?! Although that is just a guess on my part.))

Now that Iria had not been expecting to hear. Why did he need to keep something like that away from Mriria? Overall she seemed fairly harmless for a vampire, but then again......she just had a feeling that Draja wouldn't say something like that without a reason.
"Looks like I'd better figure out a way to keep this hidden." Iria said to herself as she glanced down at her piece of the Eureka stone before placing it back in her skirt pocket.

Azael sighed loudly and re-hid the Eureka stone back in the same place as before."This is getting serious..even Draja is giving out warnings..."

He shook his head and headed back into his room for sleep.

Nothing else happened over the next few days, but what was really shocking was the fact that the tension that existed between Iria and Azael before was hardly there anymore. True it'd taken a while, but Iria was slowly starting to trust him a bit more then she did earlier even though she still was slightly suspicious of his motives for keeping her here. Then there was the fact that she was still just a pawn in whatever scheme these vampires had right then, unless he was just keeping her around because he actually wanted her there and that didn't seem likely.

"Yeah right, like he'd really just want to keep some human girl around here." Iria thought to herself as she stared out the window at the full moon. This she'd really had a hard time admitting to herself but like it or not, she was starting to become rather fond of Azael in a strange way. That was dangerous in itself so she didn't dare voice it to anyone, not even Mriria.

Azael over those past few days was coming back to the hut less and less, and each time, he seemed to be coming back with more cuts and bruises each time.Physically, he looked terrible, mentally he'd always said it was absoulutly nothing to think about and today was no exception, because he came back this particular day, dropping to the floor unconcious.Mriria yelped, "Geezz...are you alright?You've never collapsed before."

"Okay that's it, now I think we need to get some answers out of him." Said Iria as she helped Mriria get Azael into the hut. Needless to say she was really worried about the entire situation, but she didn't let that show since it wouldn't help much anyway.

Mriria with Iria's((their names rhyme!))help hauled Azael nto his bed and Mriria checked him over with an annoyed look, "I knew you were a hot head Azael but still..."

She shook her head and pulled at her ebony locks.

((You just noticed? LOL! kidding.))

"I don't like this Mriria, something's going on here and I want to know what." Said Iria, especially if there was a chance it could concern her in any way.

Mriria nodded to her and gave a deep sigh, "I know..but for now all we can do is make sure he wakes up."

She placed a hand over one of his more serious injuries.

For a few minutes Iria stayed silent before finally stepping over to both Mriria and Azael.

"Let me try something, I don't know if it'll work since I've never used this before but it might help somewhat." Said Iria before she placed her hand over Azael and closed her eyes while speaking softly to herself. After a few seconds, a pale lavender light seemed to glow from underneath her hand as the healing spell she was using began to heal whatever injuries he had right then. Though it felt longer then it actually was, only a few minutes later Iria withdrew her hand and sure enough there was no sign that Azael had even been injuried in the first place.

"That should do it, at leat I hope anyway." She said before she stood up and staggered back to her own room. Unfortunately the drawback to using that spell was it left her drained after using it, and she just collapsed onto her bed before quickly falling asleep.

Atleast a half an hour later while Mriria was watching them both , Azael woke up.He had a splitting headache though he somehow knew why his injuries were no more.Mriria protested to his moving about but he did so anyway and plopped down beside Iria."Thanks."

"Welcome." Iria said in a sleep-filled voice before she drifted back to sleep again only a few minutes after waking up.

Azael laughed quietly and walked back to his bed, an angry Mriria glaring at him, "Sleep!Now."

He laughed again and did so, the female vampire watching them both with a quiant(sp?) smile.

It was several hours later before Iria finally woke up, and evidently her healing spell hadn't drained her as bad as she thought it might.

"Okay either I was dreaming, or Azael actually thanked me for what I did." Iria said to herself but that's when she realized that she hadn't been dreaming when she heard him say that.

Azael was still asleep at this time, and it appeared Mriria had decided to drink while they were out because she was conked out by a bottle of booze on the floor.

"Okay, now that is funny." Said Iria as she stifled a giggle before walking past Mriria and stepping out of the hut. No she wasn't going to try and run away this time, but she'd been stuck inside for so long that she decided she just wanted to take a walk around the hut for now.

Mriria woke up with a splitting headahce probably from drinking to much booze and the moment she noticed Iria wasn't there she let out a loud moan , waking up Azael.

By now Iria had found a spot next to the hut that kept her out of sight so she could actually sit there and enjoy being outside for once. So with that in mind she sat down on the ground and just let the wind play with her hair as she closed her eyes.

Azael paided no attention to Mriria's moan and ignored it now, falling back asleep.It just wasn't important ot him right then.

Iria would have been perfectly content staying outside for as long as possible had the sense of someone watching her not hit her like a jolt of electricity. However, when she glanced around and saw no one she felt a flicker of fear shoot through her as she quickly stood up and began making her way back towards the hut.

Mriria soon stood up and sighed loudly.The splitting headache was definatly not as fun as she would have hoped and she decided t olook around for Irias now.

"Hello little human." Purred a silky voice from behind Iria, and she whirled around only to see another vampire woman standing behind her. Her eyes were the same red as Azael's and her long black hair fell down to at least her knees, but what would have caught anyone's attention was the rather revealing way she was dressed right then. However, that's not what had Iria's attention as she kept her eyes on the vampire woman's hate filled look.

"Umm.......and you are?" Asked Iria as she backed away from the vampire woman, and she just laughed before giving Iria a mock bow.

"Oh do forgive me, you may call me Avari and I do believe now I'll kill you." Hissed Avari and before Iria could even react, the vampire had her by the throat and was holding her up so her feet were no longer touching the ground.

Seeing as Azael wasn't willing to wake up it seemed like Mriria would have to do the job of saving Iria's butt herself.The moment she found the two she screeched like and enraged child, "What the f**k are you doing to Azael's possesion and my friend!?"

"Stay out of this Mriria!" Hissed Avari as she hit Mriria with an invisible blast of energy, forcing the other vampire back. She'd waited to long to get her hands on the heiress, and it certainly didn't matter to her if she ws Azael's possession.

Mriria hissed as she was hit, her headache becoming worse, "Listen girl, I already have a hangover and your making it worse....Don't touch that girl!!"

She charged and swipped at the other vampire woman, fangs bared.

Avari just growled as she threw Iria to the ground before vanishing from sight. Even she wasn't stupid enough to press her luck, so for now she retreated until a more opportune moment presented itself.
"This isn't over Mriria, not by a long shot. I'm not the only one who'd love to get a taste of her blood." Hissed Avari before her voice faded just as quickly as it had come.

Mriria hissed loudly at her last comment and picked Iria up.She was raging mad now, "Ohh...I know and I'm so not in the mood to deal with it."

She brought Iria inside , a foul look on her face.

"Ow....damn that really gave me a headache." Said Iria once she woke up from where she'd been knocked out thanks to Avari's chokehold on her throat.

When Iria had woken up, Mriria was too busy telling Azael every detail of what had happened just a while ago to notice the fact that she was indeed awake.Azael did notice for that matter either.

"So what did I miss?" Asked Iria as she stepped up behind Mriria, but that was more or less to see what would happen if she actually managed to sneak up on her friend.

Mriria nearly jumped out of her skin and slowly turned around.Azael had a angry look on his face now, "What do you think you missed?"

"N-nothing I was just.......nevermind." Said Iria as she cringed from the angry tone in Azael's voice before quickly walking back into her room where she'd be out of sight. For some reason it just felt safer at this point not to be seen, and she was perfectly fine with that.

Azael turned back to Mriria, angry face still on, Mriria sighed."You shouldn't let this get to you cause you'll take it out on her you know ...."

He shook his head and headed for the door, "Who was it again...?"
