Tainted Past

Of course, everyone here has heard of the role plays of people getting trapped in a mansion. But what hardly anyone finds out is what happens to their children.


Falling into the past fifty some years, lands us deep in a forest in France. The forest is boreded by the lake, a deep, smouldering grey body of water. The building itself stands tall, the stones used to build the mansion are cold and icy, giving the auara that is felt both inside and out of this home. Behind the mansion, a tall wall wraps around the garden which is filled to the brim with greens and bright colors. Sadly though, the house was slowly pushed out of attention and into disfunction.

This was where the cold and twisted hands of none other than France's most natorious witch. Merriweather, dispite her warm name, was known across the land. Though her bloodline was well known for vicious black magic, it was Merriweather who truly stepped up her magic.

Ten or so years later, Merriweather, after having gathered eight males, all of whom had something society would not approve of. Casting a disalusioning spell on them, she swept them into the castle. Upon all doors, windows, cracks and every blade of grass, preventing departure. Gracing upon their heads the curse that they may only leave after having a child.

This was where the women came to play. Some time passed, and eight young women were lured into the castle. They were cursed the same as the men, being unable to leave until they bore a child.



Of course, everyone has heard that story, but what is lesser known is what has happened to those children. Eight children of sixteen trapped in the same castle. Merriweather, the one who's fault this all was, had a single child. Olivia, her daughter, grew in strength and power after her mother's death.

Feeling it unsuitable that the spawn of men who were unable to be alowed society, Olivia began blackmailing them. The eight children, now around the age of their parents when they were trapped, were eventually forced into the castle.

But Olivia felt that it wasn't enough to blackmail them, so as soon as the first foot was placed in the mansion, they were not allowed to leave. Knowing there was going to be a loophole in her plan, such as perhaps her mother's lingering spell, Olivia was content with her tricks.




The Girls:
Girl One [/COLOR]- 17 - Her father was the werewolf, her powers forcing her to change into a furry beast once a month, on the moon, at least.

Acacia Krane - 18 - Her father was the shadow deamon, giving her the powers to bend shadows and twist darkness. Her mother was sisters with Girl One's mother.

Celeste Abelard- 17 - Her father was the shape shifter, giving her the ability to transfer into any living form.

Girl Four - 18 - Her father was the dog deamon, letting her shift occasionally into a dog.

Boy One - 17 - His father was the vampire, making him half-vampire, giving him powers of darkness and some simple mind control.

Fate Zebel- 18 - His father was the phantom, making him not fully human, and giving him some ghost-like abilities.

Boy Three - 17 - His father was the white deamon, contrary to darkness, allowing him to deminish shadows and create some light with positive thoughts.

Bo Delca- 18 - His father was the bewitched cat. His father was a cat until he fell in love, and ironically, whenever he feels strong feelings, he is forced into cat form.

Name: Acacia Dervla Krane
Age: 18
Who are you? Girl Two
Background: Where to begin a tale that is Acacia's? As if being the daughter of cursed ones is not enough, her life proved to be more so turbulent than the obscure and bizarre powers she posses. Acacia's father had long since passed when the girl was only 4, his own powers turning him to madness. Her mother, followed shortly there after, leaving Acacia with none other than her aunt Cornelia. The prude of a woman had always disliked Acacia, making her much like a Cossette character in the household, as opposed to Cornelia's daughter, Zelma, that was a perfect Eponine. Acacia was a Cinderella in the flesh, but she had no happy ending. By the time she was 14, Acacia had come to realize the true horror of which her father had passed onto her. The "dark gift" as she likes to call it. The more she tried to keep it a secret, the stronger it became, as if her power was the thing taunting her.
Acacia's aunt Cornelia had no tolerance for her niece, whom she thought was indeed crazy...just like her father. And as a 15th birthday gift, she was whisked away to an institution, where she remained before being imprisoned in the same castle her father was held captive in not so long ago. At the institution, and at such times, the "Crazy" were not held nor handled with gentle care. Society, had no tolerance for those in the institution, nor did its workers. She was subject to cruel events that the institutions "Doctor" believed would "Cleanse" her of any and all evil. How wrong he had been...
Looks: Acacia has long, wavy dark blonde locks that fall to her waist, much like her mothers. Her eyes are arching, almond shaped, and are a very dark sapphire color, that contrasts sharply to her pale skin. She is average in height, 5'6'' and has a rather thin build. She has no markings, save a small scar on her forearm, from an incident involving Zelma, her cousin.

Personality: Acacia is a shy, and quiet girl, for many obvious reasons. Though, this should not suggest that at one time in her life Acacia was not bubbly and carefree. For, in fact she was. Acacia was just like any other girl, slightly, whimsical, and joyful. But the events that shaped her life, shaped also her outlook, and persona.
Anything Else: Acacia constantly wears a pendant that was her mothers. She is obsessively protective over it.

I know I haven't been approved yet, but I get home late tomorrow night, so here is a preliminary bio, in case I am. Please let me know if any alterations need made. If it sounds strange, forgive me; I'm tired as I make this. I might find I need to totally re-write the bio tomorrow.

Name: Celeste Madeleine Abelard
Age: 17
Who are you? : Girl Three
Background: Celeste has had an... interesting life, to say the least. Yes, her parents fled the castle after she was born. They wanted to leave it far behind. Thing was, both were insulated from the outside world.... Little experience with everyday practical life. It was hard to get by. For some time they moved from job to job, place to place, never putting down roots. All the while they tried to be positive, especially for Celeste's sake, but they still worried, on some level, that someday they would be dragged back.... Life was a struggle, but at least they were together.
Maybe it was the constant moves, or the stress from poverty, but Celeste's mother gradually sickened, and quietly passed away when she was still young. Her father grew morose, almost dark. They had been devoted to each other. His young daughter was all he had left, and he would do anything to support her. Thus, he ended up getting involved in an underground crime ring.... They found out about his powers, and he became a key member for providing distractions, alibis, entries, and the like. Celeste grew up in the company of a family with a peculiar view of the law, but who was, oddly, not unkind. They may break the law, but they were not ruthless or unnecessarily cruel. She was their little girl....
And became one of them in full when her own inherited powers started to blossom and emerge. Celeste took after her father, it seemed.... It started with little things; her hair changing with her mood, and so forth. Then, as puberty approached, the abilities exploded. It took some time to learn to control them, but now she can do so much more readily. Then she joined her father on schemes and plots, his Little Girl Friday.
Sadly, this was when her aunt found her.... An operation was infiltrated, then proven to be false. Chaos broke out. The two shapeshifters tried to flee together, but even with their constant changes, they ended up trapped. One can only change so many times before wearing out, after all.... Celeste's father was imprisoned, threatened. So she agreed to come with the woman just to free him.
However, that doesn't mean she has to be happy about it or plan to stay here. She's set to find a way to get free....
Looks: Celeste has a winsome, almost delicate face, with eyes that tilt slightly upward, a small nose, delicately arching brows, and a full mouth. Her hair, by contrast, is a wild riot of light brown curls, usually falling in a heedless tumble, barely contained. Her overall effect is almost like that of a faerie of the old school; not a dainty flower princess, but an otherworldly being barely contained by this mundane world.

Personality: Celeste is a bit of a paradox. She can be bright and whimsical one moment, darkly serious the next. She can be very friendly if the mood takes her, but if you destroy that mood, it will take an effort indeed to win her regard, or even interest. Her interest in the world is almost catlike, as she can be easily distracted one time, then intently focused the next. She's very much a child of changes. She can also be quite stubborn and determined when the cause calls her, and if you can catch her devotion, it's strong indeed.
Anything Else: Celeste has a fondness for sparkly things and gems; she's almost like as magpie when it comes to them. She's fond of flashy jewelry and hair ornaments.

Name: Bonapar "Bo" Francisco Delca

Age: 18

Who are you? Boy Four

Backround: Bo's parent's don't have the typical family history. His mother was sixteen when she realized she needed to get out of the house. Having gone for a walk, she found herself at the castle, where Bo's father resided. Now, Bo's father was a cat at this point. He had been cursed to be in the form of a cat until he fell truly in love. Which is hard to do. Who falls in love with a cat? Either way, Bo was born, and they fled. Starting their lives fresh, they bought a small house, and when Bo was grown enough, sent him off to a boarding school. The problem was, whenever Bo's emotion's were violently high, he would poof, become a cat. He was six the first time that hapened. Bo tried to live a mellow life, and he was a fairly melow child. Though, at seventeen, he met the woman of his dreams. They began dating, and on his eighteenth birthday, he asked her to marry him. The problems came when, after living together for months, Bo began to recieve threatining letters. Which is how he wound up at the castle that his parents had grown to hate. Leaving his love behind , he was forced to move in. Only then had the poor boy realized that he had been duped and was n ow stuck in the castle.

Looks: Bo always had slightly more effiminite look to him. It must have been due to his feline nature. Bo is six feet, two inches. His long frame is thin, and pale. A narrow chin that slopes gently along his jaw, a fairly small nose and large, large brown eyes, nestled deep under bushy brows. His black hair hangs long and straight, sometimes to his shoulders, sometimes pulled up or tied back.

Personality: Bo is quiet and reseserved. He doesn't like having attention on him, since usually whenever that happens he is poofed into his lithe black cat form. And he doesn't always remember what happens then. He has a biting sence of humor when he does open his mouth, but he far prefers to sit back and watch what is going on. Bo is very affectionate, as his wife-to-be (for now, at least) is willing to tell you. Bo has a sence of when people need comfort and often times, people are inclined to let this gentle, pale young man into their lives and trust.

Who are you? Boy Two
Background: That feeling. The feeling of being neither alive, nor dead. Fate often has that feeling. In some sense, Fate is alive. As alive as you or me. As alive as the beating heart inside of you. And at the same time dead. Your father was a phantom. Yes, indeed. His mother died when Fate was ten. So, Fate was alone for most of his life, only attending school on several occasions. Fate wanted to learn, so he taught himself. Since Fate isn’t fully human, he has some ghost-like abilities. Like a ghost, Fate has the ability to walk through walls, though he must hold his breath when he chooses to do so. Considering he’s not completely phantom either. Therefore still solid.
And his father. The phantom. Fate can barely remember his father at all. Fate has sub-consciously decided, since his father hadn’t been there in Fate’s childhood that he didn’t have a father. He loved his mother, though. She had a kind heart.
Looks:: Fate is of a tall height for his age, thin, and has fair skin. Fate’s hair is black and oddly straight, reaching around shoulder length. Fate’s hair is matted most of the time. The time’s he doesn’t bother with it..

Personality: Fate’s an intelligent young man. Sub-consciously, since Fate knows he’s part phantom and has some ghost-like abilities, he’s used to being quiet and reserved Occasionally when Fate isn’t completely reserved, he has a sarcastic sense of humor. He’s more light-hearted though.

Who are you? Girl 1
Backround: Alaynia was raised as a very well organized girl. She was brought up in Massachusettes on the day everyone calls, Independence Day. In her years, she made a lot of friends. But her father always beegged her to do whatever he wanted her to do. So, she had to obey him a lot. Or else he would get very upset. Her life is somewhat as a normal girls life but not really at all. She has a lot of normal friends but they think she is normal too.
Looks: Alaynia's very pretty. But she can get kind of sometimes, ugly. When her dad forces her to change of course. She has a scar on her right leg right by her knee. Her birth mark is on her waist right by where her hips start.
