I don;t really believe in fate in terms of god. I mean, if god were in control of our fates why would there be bad, sad, sickening horrible ways to die?

I believe we have a broad fate to an exten, such a sdying, but we choose what we do with our time.

Love is similair to this. I don't think its in out destiny to be with one person right from the begining. Think about it, if a man met his wife over the net. They got married an lived happily ever after, if you went back int time, and took the net from him, wouldn't he marry someone else?

For starters, there's a bit of a contradiction of terms there. There's no such thing as 'happily ever after'... Happiness comes and goes (and ain't I just a ray of sunshine today?). But one can live happily. Ever after is a little bit airy sounding.

But back onto terms of fate, then if fates wants something done, then it will get it done. Even if it goes a long way to do it. Ever seen the movie Serendipity? It's easily explained there.
