This morning I got my Razr V3a...but there's a story behind it...
Some time ago {I have no idea how long ago it was} my dad bought the phone. The guy at the store turned it on, and it was giving him an invalid battery message. He gave it to my dad anyways. This pisses me off for two reasons...1. The guy was going to sell my dad a defective phone. 2. My dad was actually going to take the defective phone. And he did.
Apparently he charged it a few days ago, and it was still giving him the invalid battery message. It charged though, and he was able to give it to me this morning with a clear conscience...
I'm not all freaking out because I can still send/receive calls, take pics and video, and what have you {save text messaging, but I have a feeling my parents didn't want that on my phone and this isn't an issue concerned with the battery}. I am kind of on the verge of starting to freak out because I've been certain all day that just getting a new battery will help out. However, what I read a while ago while Googling this problem concerns me...
This one guy got the invalid battery message and he replaced his battery. Didn't help. Someone replied with a link to a solution, but the link was dead. No help for those of us who actually want to remedy the situation. I'm not concerned so much with losing my phone, I'm concerned with losing the pics and videos I already have on it. Not like they can't be replaced, but...my sisters and the oldest one's fiance' won't be here by the time I get a new phone probably, meaning no caller ID pictures.
Hmmm...that USB port looks like it'd fit the USB cord I use for my mp3 player. Maybe I can transfer photos onto my computer...methinks that's what I'll try next...
But seriously...it's just pissing me off that the guy at the store was such a stupid fuuck that he'd sell a defective phone. He should seriously get sued. Even if he is new, like my dad suspected he was - who the hell would sell a phone that said invalid battery?!
{{Eheh...excuse the language.}}
