Ok so I'm thinking about getting into the fanfiction scene. lol. However I want to test out my writing abilities so if you have any suggestions about what I should write about that would be great. Suggestions could be about a pairing you like, a sad story, a happy ending, you get the picture. O and no promises that I will write about what you suggest since I might not know the characters if you want a story from your favorite anime or something. If they are Oc then please give me a description of there personality and looks!

I like writing Neon Genesis Evangelion but if you dont know that anime I guess Naruto

Romance stories are HUGE so I would go with that one.

I guess a long story

Pairings for NGE would be AsukaShinji for me.

Pairings for Naruto would be NaruSaku or NaruHina...mabye even NaruTen (I should write one of those....)

And well....everyone likes a happy ending ^^

I love sad endings as well.

I like Roxas/Axel for Kingdom Hearts II. Also, KH is a good genre if you want popularity. A lot of people read KH fanfiction.

Don't be afraid to do something different or creative too. A good introduction, for me in any writing, would have to a be a definite determining key factor. If it doesn't interest me in the first few sentences, I'm out. I'm not a big fanfiction person. I just recently got back on the scene, but KH did really well for me.

I don't read fanfiction, but I, personally, don't like OC's as the main character...like "random girl falls in love with Sora" or "I went to Hogwarts and me and Snape got married." Isn't that called Mary-Sue or something like that? Just stay away from the corny. Anything reminiscent of the epilogue of the last Harry Potter would probably be better avoided. Then again, people love that crap. It depends on your target audience. Do you want popularity or depth? Or both?

If you're working with FF.Net, I think onexshots are really popular right now. I don't really know becasue I never go outside my own little writing bubble, but I see a lot of people just do a very short little, one chapter prose. Sort of like a journal...thoughts..ect...I don't really know what One shot is though...so I'd ask someone who actually lives for reading fic. I just write...I'm a bum.

I hate a lot of Oc character to. There are a couple of stories I've read in the past that had an Oc but they where actually good because they didn't make there character good at everything and they managed to intertwine them with actual events from the book/game.

I think I'm going to start out with a couple of one shots just to test the water and see if I'm good enough before I start on a multi chapter story. O and to answer your one question I really want to go for depth! I want to be proud of what I write and I don't want to write about over done mainstream stuff either. Fanfiction lately as gotten to be really boring and annoying cause almost every story is the same. anyways enough of my little rant. XD! O and thanks for your advice and input!
