"Well," said the doctor, returning to the tiny white room Lily was seated (rather nervously) in. "It seems you've got a small concussion." He looked up from his clipboard. "We can't give you much for that. Just ice that bump and don't do anything too strenuous for a few days. If you've get and headaches over the next few days, or if you get dizzy, give us a call."

Lily nodded. "Okay, but what about my memory? When will I get my memory back?"

The doctor sighed and put his clipboard down. "Well...the thing is...your cat scans show that that bump on the head shouldn't have done anything to your memory. There's a chance that it may return in a fews days, but your memory is most likely phycological."

"Meaning...?" said Lily, though she was pretty sure she already knew.

"Meaning there memory is there--your mind just isn't letting you anywhere near it. I'd recommend therapy if-"

"No," said Lily, grabbing her coat and standing. "I don't need therapy. I'm not crazy. Send the bill for this to my father. Thank you."

She left without another word.

'An hour of them asking stupid questions for nothing,' she thought, grumbling to herself.
