Kal stopped playing her guitar and went back into the house. She went to the kitchen to see if mer mom was still there. When she saw that she was, Kal entered the room.

"Hey mom, is it okay if I go check out the mall?" Kal asked.

Her mom turned from the stove, "Sure. You can get yourslef a few things if you want. Just not too many things."

"Thanks mom," Kal replied and dashed to the garage to get into the family car, a black Porche (Kal's family may be well off, but she's most definately not a brat about it.). She backed out of the driveway, and drove in the direction of the mall.

Kal found the mall and parked near the entrance. She got out and walked into the mall, observing how modern it looked. She went straight for a directory and looked for her favorite store. When her finger landed on the name, she smiled and headed in the store's direction. She finally saw the neon sign that read "Hot Topic" and entered the store. She smiled again, knowing she was in a place where she felt she belonged. She soon began to browse the shop for things to wear and accessories.
