The Terminator: Time Lag

3 billion human lives ended, on August 29th, 2008. the survivors of the nuclear fire called the war Judgement Day. They lived only to face a new nightmare; the war against the machines. The computer which controlled the machines, Skynet, was able to send 3 Terminators back through time. Their mission, to destroy the leader of the human ressistance, John Connor. The first terminator, was set to strike at Sarah Connor, John's mother, in the year 1984; it failed. The second was set to strike at John himself, when he was still a child, in the year 1991; it failed. The third was set to stirke at John and Kathren Bruster, his future wife, in the year 2003; it failed. The nuclear bombs were supposed to drop that day, but it was postponed, due to glitches. Skynet realises that John Connor isn't the only one who leads the humans to vitory; his closest lutents played a major role. Now, Skynet has sent another T-101 model back through time, proving itself the most effective, to elimanate them as well. As before, the resistance was able to send a lone warrior, a protector for them. Knowing that that sending a human was useless, and sending another T-101 would only create a stalemate, the ressistance sent something else. Not human, nor machine; but an Old One.

4. No one’s character knows anything about Skynet, the machines, or the future war.

Bio:
Having grown up in the bad part of LA, were you needed a gun in your house to live, AND having a dad who is a commando, Luca always had an ample amount of weapons stowed in car. Luca is a black belt in ty quan do, an excellent computer hacker, and an all around gun specialist. (He knew way to many army people, including his buddy Dante} His best friend is a girl named Lyra. The two of them are practically inseperable, a coinsedince being theyre both army brats.

Bio: Illyria is an old one, ressurected in 2004. She is so strong that she hits like a mack truck, has the abilty to alter the flow of time, create portals and wormholes, modulate her form, and ........... possibly talk to plants. After her battle with Wolf Ram and Hart, with Angel, Illyria incoutered John Connor, who was able to restore her full powers, by giving her an immortal body cappibal of holding them. Shortly there after, she survived the nuclear attack with John and Kate, and was a warrior for John in the war against the machines. He sent Illyria back through time to protect his friends (His lutents). Illyria fueled the time displacement field with her powers, so she could travel to the past with her suit still on.

Lyra has a special defect. She doubts that she'll see her 28th birthday. She enjoys smoking, since she's gonna die anyway, shooting things, blowing things up and drawing. She hates pain, killer machines, and anything else that tries to kill her.

Luca skidded to a halt infront of his locker. twisting the lock, he reched it open and threw his backpack to the floor; packing up for the day, making sure no one could see all his weapons he;d concealed inside it.
A pair of hands slipped over his eyelids.
"Gess who?" asked a friendly familar voice.
"Hi Lyra!!!!" He screamed, whipping around and giving his bestest friend a hug.
"Got everything?" SHe asked.
"Yep, close it."
Lyra closed his locker door and the pair walked down the hallway, thanking god that it was friday.

Lyra walked to her locker, getting her books. She put them in her bag and walked back out, not saying a word.

"Did that bit*h p*ss you off again today?" Luca asked, cracking his knuckles ready to take a Rescue for his friend in beating a teacher to a bloody pulp.

Lyra shook her head. She smiled and waved at Illyria.

"MOVE!" THe old one screamed. as she pushed them out the door, grabbing Dante along the way.

Lyra whimpered, closing her eyes and let Illyria push her along.

Outside, illyria shoved them into the semi shed stolen.
Jumping in, she shouted,
"Does anyone know how to operate this equipment?"
Luca turned the igniton for her.
"Many thanks," she said putting it in gear, stopping to look across the street. A tall, broad man stalked onto the sidewalk, holding a shotgun.

Illyria smirked and put her foot down hard, this part knowing how to do, running the leathered man into a wall, backing up and driving off.
"Why the h*ll did you do that!!" Luca screamed.
"Youre being targeted for termination." Illyria replied speeding up; Luca completely lost.

"I am not the Illyria you no yet. Exactly one year from now to the day, a major computer defense system, skynet, launches a massive nuclear attack on humans. THereafter it begins an exterminaton of all human life. John Connor and-"
"Wait, John? you mean as in my cousin John Connor????" luca asked.
"Yes the same. He restored my powers and sent me back through time to protect you three."
"From WHAT???"
"Skynet sent one of their terminators back through time to elimintate you and John connor himself. Someone else was sent back to protect him and Kathren bruster."
"Who?" Luca asked, gradually comprehending.
"Willow Rosenburg."

Lyra, in short, was shocked. Even if she wanted to speak, after hearing that, she couldnt. She had been comprehending the situation from the start but that didnt make it any less shocking.

"Why do they want to kill john, and WHY KILL US???!!!" Luca shouted.
"John Connor is the world wide leader of the human ressisstance to skynet and his Closest lutentants, Luca Blacthorn, Dante Archer, and Lyra Demore, are second in command with Katheren Bruster. Together, you lead humans to an ultimate down fall of skynet. Willow and i were sent back to protect you. and insure your survival." Illyria said, speeding the truck down the freeway.

"Me?" Lyra asked quietly. "I'll probably be dead by then." she told the Old One. Not even Luca knew that she probably wouldnt live to see 25.

"No. To be exact, you were the one who sent us back yourself. i belive your age was 38 at the time." Illyria stated, looking at Lyra.

Lyra stared at her, shocked.

"And not 45 minutes ago to be technical." Illyria stated, looking back at crowded rode.

Lyra burried her face in Luca's back, stopping her talking.

"W-w-w-w-what can we do?" Luca asked.
"For now, run. we confront the machine once we've met with willow and john. And of course after we get more guns." Illyria replied.
"NO! To stop skynet?"
"Nothing, you cant. Skynet will take over. Judgement Day is enevitable."
"Judgement Day?"
"THe day the human race was nearly destroyed." Illyria told, swerving all over the highway.

Silent tears ran down Lyra's face. Judgement Day? They were obviously going to live through it, Illyria herself told them that. Great.

Luca sat back in his seat and put an arm around Lyra. He'd been confused once more and wished to comfort his almost sister.

She growled, ripped away and then went for the coffee. At least she could have that. Her mind was in a commotion. Jugement day? Close friends/advisors? Her sending Illyria back herself? She understood, but it was too much to handle.

Lyra slammed the termanator off of her before spriting down the road, turning onto the freeway. "I have lost ever inch of my dang sanity!" she cried to herself, knowing the dang machine was following her.

She faintly heard it, but between the sounds of screaming behind her, the Terminator following and her own thoughts, it was hard too. "WHERE?!" she shouted back.

"She can take care of herself. besides, one of our other opperatives sent back is in the area." Illyria stated, flooring the pedal, outrunning the 'tin man' by three miles.

Lyra panted, hiding behind a car. "Oh man!" she muttered. She was talking more in the past ten minutes than she did in months!

" hey are you ok? " Dante asks

Lyra nodded. "M ok." she mumbled.

THe terminator began to shoot the tailgate of the charger.

"YOU FOOL!" Illyria shouted to her self. Luca pulled a shotgun from his back pack, leaned out the window and began shooting at the machine. his shots not even phasing it. Before the terminator shot him, he ducked back into the car.
"Loose the lugnuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He shouted. illyria complied and ingaged the nitrous

Lyra turned her head, wondering if Luca was alright. She panted lightly. Fregger was fast, but she was a bit faster, apparently.

Lyra pulled him back toward Speedway, looking around. "Man! Shoulda grabbed a car. Oh, well." she mumbled to herself. "If I were Luca and Illyria," she muttered, stopping. "Where would I go?" she asked herself.

Illyria drove as fast as fast as the car would carry her and luca, but she simply couldn't get any faster. the terminator had caught with them.
Luca, having had enough, pulled his desert eagals from his bag.
Leaning out the back window, he shot the Harley's tires out and the terminator was thrown off the bike, somehow.
"Were good for now, turn the nitrous up." Luca told Illyria from the back seat.

Luca pulled out his cell.
the line began to ring after he punched in lyra's number.

"Aloha?" Lyra asked into her phone, still holding onto Dante.

"With Dante Archer." Lyra smiled.

THe truck reversed and opened its door to Lyra and Dante.
A woman with red hair was driving.
"Come with me if you want to live." She stated, showing that she wasn't waiting very long.

Lyra blinked. She honestly wasnt expecting that. "Fine." she mumbled, getting in next to him. "Who're you?" she asked, leaning forward.

Willow put her foot to the floor and everyone in the car was flung backwards
"Happy?" She asked sarcastically.

Illyria and Luca had lost the T-101. once the sun had set, they pulled into a motel parking lot to await the others.
"Willow has picked them up." Illyria told Luca.
"Call her."
Luca dug his phone out and pressed recall. the line began to ring.

Lyra refused to say a word more. She had talked more in the last half hour than she had for the past three years. She just looked out the window.

"She won't answer. I;ll try again." Luca stated, pressing the button again and letting it ring.

Lyra kept her eyes glued to the window, not wanting to look at Willow OR Dante. That made it too real. She liked to pretend that it was just a dream.

"Old One to Witch Doctor; Witch Doctor can you hear me?" SHe asked. she found it quite odd, that in just under 30 years she'd fully adjusted to this world. Even in slang, however she still possessed her formality.

"Witch Doctor to Old One, go ahead." Willow radioed back.
"Do you have the rest? i've got the the Commander here with me."
"Afirmiative Old One, there all here."
"Wheres John?" Illyria asked.
"hes with a slayer, a t triple 88 was sent back to kill him. Faith should be able to fend one of those off."
"And what about me? where am i?"
"YOur with her too. You and john are becoming good friends, thank god." willow replied.
"What of Kelly?"
"we still need to get her. you remember what Lyra told us, its imperaitive that we get all of them."
"Then lets head south, over and out Witch Doc." She spat into the radio, hanging it up.

The car slurched forward as something metal collided with the back of the bumper.
"Oh Bythagoures. Take the wheel." Illyria told luca, opening the door climbing on the roof.

She stomped back to the machine on the bike and tackeled the bucket of bults. Wrestling him to the ground in the middle of the freeway, she she balled her fist to smash his face.
Before she had a chance to the Terminator pushed her off itself.
