Background: Shai Hana was abandoned as a baby. But luckily a soul reaper named Kaname Tousen took her in. He took care of her until she was about 8 years old. She was then put into the soul reaper academy. She was in the higher up classes because of her intelligence. She's very skilled in fighting, but she does not like to fight. Kaname is Shai's idol, and a father figure to her. She was upset that she wasnt able to be in his squad. But now that she is in squad 6 with Byakuya, she imediatley fell for him and her and Renji became best buds. It is beleived that her parents are soul reapers as well, but Shai think's there dead and really couldn't care because they left her.

Background: She has a family in the Soul Soceity, in the Rukon district, and she does love to go there, but rarely gets a chance. She'll stay dutiful to the Soul Soceity no matter what, and will always hold those who love her close.

((Okay! Let's start. We'll start off with Shai in the other world, Light's world. xD))

Shai looked around, taking in the amazing city she had found herself in. This was not, Karakura town. This, was a large city with alot of technology. Not to mention, people who liked to stare. Almost everyone around Shai was staring at her, she was in the middle of the road like a deer in headlights. Still wearing a shuhakusho, while everyone else wore well designed clothes. Where am I? she wondered. ..And does everyone see me? Im not even in my Gigai! Shai panicked as she looked around. Her hand was on the hilt of her sword, she hated violence. Like her best friend Kaname Tousen, she loved peace and would rather talk things over than fighting.

"It's a monster!" Some girl cried out. "It's Kira! It has to be!" another shouted. Other's began to rant, as they glared at Shai. Some even ran from her.

Shai's heart began to race, not liking the things that were being said. "W-what's going on...?" she asked herself.

Light was with L and the rest of the taskforce. Since that was just happening, they didn't know about it yet.

Alice was just walking around Soul Soceity, not paying attention to anyone else, because she had the day off.

Shai had tried running away from these people, but all they did was follow and take pictures of her. She had no idea why. She was puzzled. She didn't know where to go. She ran down an alley way and jumped over the fence gracefully and landed on the other side. She then continued running.

((Oh, you don't have to play Renji if you dont want. I'll play him, and Toushiro I guess? xD))

Light had switched on the news and was a bit appaled by what he saw. A strange girl, with a... Robe on? And a sword?

((It's okay. ^^ Your welcome. I haven't played Toushiro in awhile. I'll also play L. x3))

Shai continued running, but now she was on the rooftops. This city was absolutley amazing to her. I guess you could say she was just taking a little tour, to know where she's at. She then decided to ask a fellow citizen. She hopped off the building and landed next to an old woman.

"Excuse me miss, can you tell me where I am?" Shai asked politley. Only to get smacked in the face with a big black purse. Shai stumbled back and rubbed her face.

"Stay back you monster!" The old woman cried.

"Monster?" Shai asked in confusion. "Im not a monster, Im a soul reaper.."

"KIRA!!"

Light, and the rest of the Task Force, was watching Sakura TV, and they had a camera on her, taping for the news. They zoomed in on the Lady and her.

The old woman had repeatedly hit Shai with the purse. While Shai was unable to block her attacks. "Please, Lady. Stop. Im not going to hurt you!" Shai exclaimed. Then, the beating stopped. Shai opened her eyes, only to come in contact with pepper spray. "Agh! What is this? A spell?!" Shai asked as she rubbed her eyes. She cried out, it was burning like crazy not to mention it smelled like pepper. She opened her watery eyes and pushed the old lady back before flash-stepping away.

((Ow..Pepper spray? THAT SOUNDS DELICIOUS! x3 Sorry. It's from a show. >>))

Light was trying to not break his composure, seeing as the other task force members, except Mogi, were laughing their heads off.

Shai had finally got away from most people. She had no idea where to go. Her eyes were still burning from that pepper spray. Luckily, she knew how to heal and she healed her burning eyes. Shai smiled softly to herself and continued walking. "Byakuya-san..I hope I see you soon." Shai muttered to herself. She already missed him, and he probably didn't care.

Sakura TV had lost sight of the girl, and moved on to some other news. So the other task force memembers stopped watching. Light however, was intrigued about the girl. He kept watching to see if they would do further coverage.

Shai sat on the curb of the road and stared off into space. She wondered if the hollow's would be here too and that wouldn't be a good thing. "I really need to find out where I am," she muttered to herself. She glanced around, but everyone who passed quickly walked away. Am I that ugly? she wondered, now saddened. Maybe that was why Byakuya didn't like that. Shai pouted her lips and rested her chin in both palms of her hands.

Alice sighed, she was so bored! She wanted to get pass into the human realm, but knew she couldn't unless she was on a mission.

Light stood up and took his coat, "I'm going out..." He sighed, he wanted to see that girl, again, and wanted to see if he could find her. Of course, Light himself knew she wasn't Kira, so what harm could it be?

Toushiro had finally finished his paperwork, it was now Rangiku's duty to take the papers to head capatain Yamamoto. But unfortunatley she had another hangover, and was knocked out on the couch so Toushiro had to go deliver the paperwork himself. (Aww.. xD)

Shai let out a yawn and stood back up. She then looked around, and stared. She had forgotten what she was about to do. Shai muttered something under her breath and rubbed the back of her neck. "Byakuya-kun, I wish you were here..You to Renji-san," Shai muttered sadly. There were so many people she wished she was with right now.

Light was walking around in the direction Sakura TV had spotted her last.

Alice sat down on the street, sighing.

Shai was now sitting back on the curb, polishing her valued zanpakuto. Luckily, no one was around to see her or that's what she thought. She then heard footsteps, she quickly put her sword in her sheath and looked up, seeing a very handsome man with light brown and light brown eyes. She stared him down and stepped back slightly, she some how knew that he was here to see her. "Who are you?" she asked.

Toushiro continued walking, the large pile of paper's nearly covering his whole body. He was muttering words that were very hard to understand. Talk about Mr. Grumpypants. (xD)

"Yagami, Light. But I was wondering who you were." Light said, as more of a statement and order then a question.

Shai blinked and bowed slightly, "My name is Shai Hana, 2nd seat of squad 6," she stated. This Light person would probably wonder what the heck she was talking about, maybe he would run off like everyone else..

"What squad?" Light asked, curiously. This girl was quite interesting, perhaps she could bring some suspicion of Kira of his shoulders, and make it easier for himself.

"Squad 6..Sir." Shai said cautiously, wondering what Light was up to.

"What type of squad?" Light elaborated, asking more questions.

[xxShyGrlxx]

"Soul reaper squad." she answered. "I am a soul reaper, im guessing you never heard of us." she stated softly.

"Like... A Death God?" Light asked, wondering if she had any relation to Ryuk. But he was sure he had never seen any Shinigami that looked, human, like her.

"A shinigami?" she asked, "I guess you could say were shinigami's. People aren't supposed to see us unless we're in gigai's which are basically human bodies. How do you know of these Shinigami's?" she asked.

"I know one." Light admitted, in a quieter voice. This girl was probably like Ryuk, anyway. What harm could it do? But, at that moment, Light'd forgotten, unlike Ryuk, the world could see and hear her.

"Really?" Shai said in interest. "Where is he?" she asked.

"I... Don't know at the moment." Light lied. Ryuk was right behind him, but he figured that she couldn't see him.

"Your lying," Shai smiled, sensing it easily. "He's behind you, I can feel his presense but I cant see him. It's almost like a hollow.." she muttered.

Light mentally cursed, "Yeah... He is." Light admitted, once again. But, he couldn't show him to her. He left the Death Note at his house, in his draw, where he usually kept it.

Shai smiled sweetly at Light, then finally remembered. "Oh! Um, where are we? What City is this? This isn't Karakura town.." she stated as she fiddled with the edge of the sheath of her sword.

((That's what I thought too but... xD I don't trust myself with memory.))

"Japan, Tokyo." Light answered, "You're supposed to be in... Karakura Town? Never heard of it." Light said.

((Oh. xD))

"Tokyo?" she asked, she rubbed the back of her neck. "Well, I never heard of this place either." she stated. She then sighed, "Look, I should really be finding a way out of here. My captain will surely have my head if im not back in a week!" she exclaimed stressfully as she ran her fingers through her hair.

Light frowned, he thought he should keep this girl here, but by what means would he ensure her stay? "What were you going to Karakura Town for, anyway?" He asked.

"To fight hollows," she answered simply. "There monsters, it's a bit complicated to explain." she stated with a sigh.

"What do they look like?" Light asked, already thinking up a plan.

[xxShyGrlxx]

"Their huge," Shai exclaimed. "Some are larger than buildings, and skycrapers. The medes Grande is the largest hollow of them all, it's a hollow created by thousands of hollows formed together. But anyways, Hollows are not able to be seen by humans. Hollows have a skeleton type mask, and some have the ability to make themself invisible. That's when you have to keep an eye out, or that hollow will eat your soul.."

"I... Think I've seen one." Light said, a convincing liar.

"I think you haven't." Shai grinned as she placed her pale hands on her hips. "If a hollow were ever to be here. We soul reapers would've been visiting here for quite awhile. But so far, this place was never discovered. So I doubt you seen a hollow." she exclaimed.

((Ohh. It's okay. ^^ Do you want to timeskip the rp a bit? Where Light and Shai are getting along better, and she's suddenly thrown into confinement?))

((Like right before it happens. Like Light and Shai will be walking and talking and all of a sudden Shai is kidnapped and Light doesnt even know what's happening. xD))

Light was walking side-by-side with Shai, having a friendly chat.

((Okay. I think that sentance scared me. D=))

Shai happily talked with Light, she was already crushing on him. Though, she still had a huge thing for Byakuya.

Light glanced down at Shai. He smiled, put his hands in his pockets and kept walking.

Shai blushed faintly and smiled back at Light. "Sometimes im glad I came here instead of Karakura," she stated. "Im glad I met you too." she said but more to herself.

Light smiled back. Around Shai, he always felt more at ease, and less like Kira. "I'm glad, too..." He admitted.

Shai chuckled a bit and blushed faintly. Glad that Light had said that.

Light blushed a bit as well, he wasn't anticipating on saying that, it just slipped out.

Shai smiled faintly and continued walking, she had no idea where they were going.

Light thought he saw a flash of color, which put him slightly on edge, but he shook it off, seeing as they were outside, and it shouldn't be that suspicious, but it just set his senses off.

Shai glanced down at her feet, then up at Light. "Is there anything wrong, Light?" she asked.

"Oh... No, nothing." Light lied through his teeth.

((Would you like to do the honors, of kidnapping her? Or shall I?))

Shai squinted her eyes, knowing he was lying again but she decided not to make it obvious. "Okay." Shai said with a faint smile.

The flash of color, again, and 12 highly trained, top-notch, police officers came from out of nowhere, yet everywhere, and while four men took and restrained Shai, four others cleared the way, and the last four kept Light from getting to her.

Shai's eyes widened. "W-what's going on?" she asked. She looekd around frantically and tried pulling away from the four men holding her back. "Light!" she cried out. She was tempted to just use a spell to paralyze these unknown men. But she didnt want to get in alot of trouble.

The men pulled harder, and went to turn the nearest corner.

Light attempted to follow, but the men held him back. "SHAI!" He cried, in defiance.

Shai bit her lip and looked at Light, trying to pull back from these guys. She was strong, I mean she's 2nd seat in squad 6. But from not being able to fight for so long she lost some of her power. She then stopped, she couldnt win. She refused to cry, but continued to wonder and think. Why was she being taken away? What did she do wrong?

The police men picked her up, and began running, through a scene of twists and turns, and weaving in and out of crowds.

Light had lost them. He groaned in utter frustration, and clenched his fists. "NO! Shai..." He breathed out her name, desparingly.

Shai closed her eyes and tried to remain calm. She just hoped she would see Light again. She was afraid that she was about to get murdered or something. "Light.." she whispered.

"No need to worry, miss." A police man said, in a robotic like voice, "You will be safe, and we will not harm you."

"Who are you?!" Shai cried out. "If you dont put me down, I'll cast a Kido on you!" she threatened, finally having enough of this.

The police men looked at one another, wondering if that was a threat, but shrugged it off and continued on, not speaking back to her.

Shai stared blankly and pouted her lips. "Im guessing you had no idea what I just said." she muttered under her breath.

The police men just ignored her again. It was againist orders to talk to her more then they should.

Shai sighed, and closed her eyes. Wondering what she did wrong.

They arrived at a bland building, the police men walked inside, the door opening once the leader showed his badge to the scanner. They marched inside, the door closing loyaly after them.

"What is all this stuff?" she asked as she looked at all of the weird technology. She had died a long, long time ago. Before cellphones and colored tv's were invinted.

"You don't know what these are...?" One of them inquired, curiously. Where was this girl from, a cave?

"No," she answered. "The only technology I ever known was a phone. Considering since I died arond 1914.." she said softly. "Im not crazy so dont even say it. Im not lying.."

The police officers still stayed quiet and were carring her off to a... Cell like thing.

Shai closed her eyes and let out a hopeless sigh.

They placed her on the bed and said, "Miss. This is where you will be staying until our... Boss decides is fit." The leader said.

Shai blinked and slowly nodded, "Uhh..Okay.."
