Other: Nozomi was born in the Hidden Village of Leaf and was raised there till she was nine when she became the youngest student ever to graduate from the Acadamy. For the next six years she was trained brutally into an elite ninja. She mastered new techniques and when she became the age of sixteen her uncle brought her into the secrets of the Yukinomi Clan. The Yukinomi Clan belonged to the extinct Shadow VIllage which was destroyed shortly after Nozomi's conception. The techniques of the Shadow Village remained with the sole survivors Ayama, Nozomi's mother who died when Nozomi was five and Hiroshi Yukinomi, her beloved uncle. Nozomi's Shadow arts are uncontrollable and are dangerous to even herself. She returned to the Leaf Village 6 months before the present time (In otherwards 6 months before the RP)...

[Durwen]

Nozomi reached the village gates at last, she had been gone for far too long. Her most recent mission had been long, tiring and dangerous, the hokage would be glad of her return, but at price. Nozomi's former team mates from her early days as a ninja had joined her on this mission at the request of the Hokage, however the mission had proved to be fatal and Nozomi's dear friends had died.

It had taken her a month to return once the mission was completed, and nozomi herself had nearly died. A fresh scar ran down her slender back where a blade had sliced her, if she had not heard the swoosh of the blade coming towards her in time for her to move forward, she surely would have been severed in half from her left shoulder to her right hip. She was dark underneath her black eyes that were dotted with silver and deep red flecks around her pupils. Her waist-length hair fell down her back, some of its former beauty faded much like her usual heart-stopping beauty. She was a gem among the Akimichi Clan, despite the fact she was more formally known as Yukinomi amongst the higher ranks, she was still an Akimichi. It was often believed that she was called Yukinomi only for her rare shadow arts of her mother's slain village.

Nozomi was greeted by the gate gaurds who froze when she drew close. She smiled at them weakly, pain in her eyes. Neither of the two men could find words to speak, they had clearly noticed her missing comrades as well as her blood-stained bandaged waist where a kunai had been lodged in her hard, slender stomache. She then lowered her eyes, hiding the pain that hurt her inside so deeply.

--------- ((Time Skip 1 and a half hours later )) ----------

"Yes Hokage..." Nozomi turned and left, her arrival back in Konoha had quickly reached the hokage's ear. When Nozomi had arrived the hokage had merely went to her and comforted her. Now Nozomi was to head home and to take time to heal properly, physically and mentally. She arrived to an empty home, she had expected this. No doubt her father would be out eating lunch, and her elder brother out training. She immediately went to her room to change back into her everyday kimono(you can see a pic on charry profile). It was odd being home, she had been gone for just under two months. No doubt her father and brother would have taken advantage of this and gorged their faces with sweets and junk in her absense. Nozomi being the woman of the house had always ran a tight ship, and since her return several years before she had given them strict diets in fear of them becoming ill, her father's colesterol had been so high when she had returned from her years of training away from Konoha.

Nozomi herself was hungry, her slender belly growling in hunger. For an Akimichi she was a stick, and even compared to many girls she was very thin, not unhealthily so, but she was smaller then most of the girls, perhaps it was her strict diet and her severe training that made it so. Nozomi couldn't remember, she had always been lithe jsut as her mother was, and that was ablessing for if she had inherited her fathers large form she would have been a porker like her brother. She went into the kitchen and sure enough everywhere she looked she found chocolate bars, chips, and all sorts of snacks that Nozomi had stripped from their diets. She immediately disposed of the garbage food and finally she found some rice that would serve well as a small meal.

After Nozomi ate her steamed rice and drank a bottle of sake she felt better, despite the fact she was nearly tipsy that was okay, she needed a good drink. Nozoni had one flaw, she loved her sake, way too much for an elite jonin or a woman. She handled her sake well enough so that it did not consume her life, however once the day was done, it was her time to enjoy a couple drinks. She wondered if anyone else would be about, it was after all her first night back, and she wondered if her and Chouji's childhood friends would be up for a couple drinks to toast and mourn their friends as well as to celebrate her homecoming...

She went out onto the streets, her hair pulled back into a loose ponytail and her eyes lined with mascara and eyeliner. She looked somewhat better then when she first arrived back at the village and more like her beautiful, radiant self, however she could not bring herself to be completely cheerful, she still mourned deeply.

Kanoa had come back from a pretty easy mission, just a couple days ago. Even though it had been ranked a 'B' mission, she felt it was more like a 'C'. She sighed and itched the part of her arm that was covered by bandages. Her arm was bandaged from halfway between her wrist and elbow, almost all the way up to her shoulder. She hated when it itched under the bandages. She wanted to take them off, but no.
Kanoa headed for home, looking for Kiba. She walked into the house and waved at Hana, her other cousin, Kiba's sister. "Where's Kiba?" Kanoa winced slightly as she accidentally bumped the un-bandaged scar on her calf. It had been there for a while, but when she got it she had not let anyone seen so it had not healed so well. Hana shrugged and replied, "I dunno."
She sighed and headed out of the house, grabbing one of the keys off the coffee table, in case Hana left, too. She decided to go get some ramen to eat, hoping Naruto was there eating as well. He was her best friend other than Kiba. She got along with the kunoichi pretty well, she just trusted the male shinobi more because girls had a tendancy to gossip...
Kanoa looked up at the darkening sky. Rain. Good. She walked slowly, wanting to be caught in the rain. She unfotunately for her reached Ichiraku before the rain started to even drizzle. She sat down and ordered some beef ramen. She ate more then most girls, but she had a high metabolism so it kept her average weight. She looked around the ramen shop, waiting for someone that she knew to come.

Shikamaru grumbled at the sky. He slowly got up and wandered around town slowly, wondering if Nozomi had come back from her mission yet. With her skills, she probably came back with a few minor wounds, if not one or two major ones. He didn't know what rank mission she got, but she was a very talented ninja, so she'd get through it easily.

Kiba came home. Hana stops him, "Kanoa was looking for you." Kiba sighed. They always managed to miss each other by a few minutes somehow. He dropped Akamaru off to rest after their training session as he went back out. He then saw Nozomi in the streets, with her long hair up in a ponytail. "Nozomi!" He ran to her, "What happened on the mission? You were gone for a long time." He seemed to notice the sadness in her eyes.

[Durwen]

Nozomi looked up her cheeks going beat red at the sight of Kiba. She quickly recovered herself and she looked sadly down at the ground, "Ayana and Zuki-" She couldn't finish her sentence, she looked at Kiba and shook her head, "Let's not talk about that Kiba-Kun!" She hooked his arm and smiled, "How have you been Kiba? It has been nearly two months."

Naruto walked along the streets of Konoha his stomache growling "I could really use some ramen..." He headed towards the ramen shack, he could see a girl sitting there that he recognised, but before he could think about it his stomache growled. He walked passed her and sat down, they already had a his order waiting for him, "Thank you!" He beamed and began eating.

Sasuke sighed, "What a bother..." He had jsut been mauled and fought over by Sakura and Ino once again. However he had managed to slip away for the time being...

Chouji appeared by Shikamaru's side munching on a bag of chips his mouth completely stuffed causign hsi speech to be muffled, "Wha're you' doin'?



(( lol lets do shika secretly crushing on Nozomi and Kiba and Nozomi knowing each other through chouji and Nozomi crushing on Kiba but we'll leave it vague and unsure how he feels back lol that way she can crush on him and flirt on him with no reaction, lol sort of like a sakura/sasuke thing ^^' except nozomis not retarded like sakura haha and her crushing on Kiba and shikamaru are secret as well o.o' and have kiba and nozomi have been life-long friends besties ya know :D))

Kiba knew what she was going to say. But he decided to drop it and cheer her up. "I've been fine. Training a lot more." he smiled. "Oh yea, my cousin's staying with me. I think you know her. Kanoa?" He let Nozomi hook their arms together and he slowly walked, pulling her along. He didn't really care what they talked about, it had been a while.

Kanoa saw Naruto, "Hey knucklehead!" She pulled her ramen over near him, sitting in the seat right beside him, "Miss me?" Her black hair was down, which was unusual for her. It was a bit longer than shoulder-length, and she never really wore makeup. It's not her thing. She sat cross-legged in the chair, slurping ramen noodles kinda like naruto does, but not as fast as he does, for fear of choking on the never-ending noodles. X.x

Shikamaru looked at Choji, "Hey Choji. I'm just walking around, it looks like it'll rain soon." He shrugs, "Hey, do you know if your sister came back from her mission yet? I heard that something happened to her teammates."

(( ^_^ Kanoa and Naruto have been friends forever but haven't seen each other since she moved to rock :P And Sasuke has another rival! xD. and yush, Shika look out for Choji! D: ))

((lol btw no need to quote my posts... sicne we are the only ones on here ^^ ))

Nozomi thought about it for a moment, "Kanoa? Oh she was sent away to train like I was wasn't she? I sort of remember her..." Nozomi reached up, letting go of Kiba's arm and grabbing Akamaru. She smiled at the dog and held him in her arms while rehooking Kiba's arm.

Naruto looked up at her suprised. When he spoked his voice was muffled from his ramen, "im no' a knuckle'ed". Noodles hung from his mouth as he looked at her, he slurped them in his mouth and swallowed them with one great big gulp.

Sasuke went to the training grounds to train and clear his thoughts of the two bickering female voices inside his head.

Chouji quickly hid the chips in his shirt and looked around nervously, "Nozomi's back?!" He knew better then to cheat on his diet, and without a doubt she would have already checked the cupboards and found the vast amount of sweets and junk food. He and his father were both in for a lashing.

Kiba nodded, "Yea, she was." He smiled at Nozomi petting Akamaru. He looked at the sky, "We might wanna take shelter." He said, looking at her. Akamaru barked softly and Kiba smiled, chuckling a bit. He didn't know what to talk about now.

Kanoa rolls her eyes and laugh, "Yes you are. I bet after all this time you are." She eats her ramen quickly, letting her hair fall over her face, slightly obscuring it from view. She leaned back and laughed, "So how have you been?" She wondered, finishing her ramen shortly.

Shikamaru laughed, "Took the time she was gone to break your diet?" He said, knowingly. He rolled his eyes, "Just get her to let you eat dessert or something." He suggested. "And she's not here right now, don't need to stash any potato chips." He smirked, leaning against a brick wall.

Nozomi looked up at the sky, "Yes, we probably should... hey you wanna come over?" She smiled brightly at Kiba, Akamaru barking in approval. She could barely hold back the blushing sensation as she looked at him.

Naruto glared at her as he shovelled down the rest of his ramen. His mouth was still full of the last of his r amen when she spoke the second time, "I' been a' righ'. Wha' 'bout you?" He swallowed his mouthful a happy look on his face as he slouched back.

Chouji looked at him with narrow eyes, "She's probably looking for me already. I hope she didn't throw out my poki..."

Kiba grins, "Akamaru seems to be okay with it." He follows Nozomi to her ever-familiar house. He's been there before. Not too many times, he just has a couple times. He took Akamaru from her hands and let the dog sit on Nozomi's head. "Now you have a new hat."

Kanoa laughed, "Swallow before you talk, Naruto." She rolled her eyes playfully. "I've been okay. I just hate these damn bandages..." She started playing with the bandages on her arm again, not caring if they came off or not.

Shikamaru laughed, "you worry to much, Choji." He stated. He looked up at the sky, "I'm gonna go home. See ya."

(( lol sicne Nozomi's Chouji's lil' sister lets have the guys be around nineteen ^^ that makes them even more desirable by younger ninja gals lol ))

Nozomi laughed, she wasn't sure how many times Akamaru had sat on her head, however it hadn't been since their childhood years when her and Kiba were inseperable. She lead Kiba into the house, walking right past the garbage bin overflowing with junkfood and sweets. They went into her bedroom, which was sometimes called the local hang out spot. She sat down in the corner where her bed was pushed against and leaned against it, setting Akamaru on her lap. "So Kiba, how's Hinata these days? Have you seen her at all?"

Naruto looked at them curiously, "Are those from your last mission?" He leaned forward in his seat, sort of like a child does when an adult shows them something new and interesting.

"Why don't you come over. I'm sure Nozomi would like the extra company if something did happen on her mission," Chouji said before Shikamaru could leave. "And besides, she's less liekly to chew me out as bad if there's people over... come on be a friend..."

Kiba smiles and leans against the wall next to Nozomi. "Oh, Hinata? She's been good. She's much better at fighting now, too, you should have seen her on the last mission!" He laughs and then sits down next to her. Kiba looks at Nozomi, "I'll let you in on a secret." He laughs. He couldn't wait to say this. "Right now, your cupboards are probably stashed with junk food. Choji's also probably coming home soon to try to hide them."

Kanoa blushes slightly, "Back away knucklehead, you look like you want to eat them or something. Plus, it's not the first time you've seen someone with bandages." She giggles, "But yea, it was from my mission. Hey, when you're done you wanna come to the training grounds with me?"

Shikamaru laughed, "I knew there was more of a reason than being company for your sister." He rolled his eyes, grinning. "Okay, let's go. Plus, I wanna ask her how the mission went." He turned the direction he was walking toward Choji's house.

[Durwen]

Nozomi beamed, "Already took care of it, every last bit of junk food is in the garbage, and I made sure to put all the rotten vegetables on top of it so that he wont try and take it out." She looked around her room, "Hokage says that I am to take time off, to heal and to mourn-" She stopped, her gaze lowering, tears brimming her eyes, she hadn't cried once yet for her fallen comrades. She wiped her eyes but they quickly were brimmed again. The tears were not flowing yet, but it would happen real quick, "I am sorry Kiba-kun, I must be weak at heart... Ninja never show their emotions, some Elite Jonin I am..."

Naruto pulled back and looked at her his eyes squinted, "I am not a knucle head!" He crossed his arms and legs upon his stool and glared at her.

Chouji squinted his eyes at Shikamaru, "Why would you want to ask her about her mission?" He glared at Shikamaru, as though he wee ready to pounce on his best friend.

(( Uh-Oh Shika's getting himself into trouble... lol remember chouji's danerously protective and doesnt know shika likes Nozomi, then again no one does, actually we could have Ino and Kiba(this can add some competitive nature between them) know!!! But Shika's occassional slip ups where Chouji gets suspicious will be fun.... oh an Nozomi's gonna probly end up hugging Shika which we must remember that Shika's often complaining 'what a bother,... what a pain, sruff like that... and he should be awkward with female contact, ex. if nozomi were to hug him ^^' jsut helpful hints ive rp'd as Shika before and it can be tricky to play his part... also hes rather mellow and lazy as a reminder... lol and not sayign that i doubt your ability to play him ive gotten stuck with him before though and i jsut remembered how tricky of a character he can be so i thought id give u some tips if u wanted them ^^' and sometiems i speil... jsut a warning lol ))

Kiba puts his arms around Nozomi and gives her a warm hug. "You're not weak at heart. Everyone mourns for people close to them. Like Kakashi. He always visits the memorial..." He pulled away slightly, looking her in the eyes, "It's okay to cry." He smiled slightly out of the corner of his mouth.

Kanoa giggled, "You are a knuckle head!" She hugged him, "But you're my knucklehead." She replied, letting go of the hug. "So, you still didn't answer. Wanna go train with me?"

Shikamaru thought of a quick fix for this. "I heard her teammates..." He trailed off. He needed to be more careful not to make slips like that around Choji. He can be pretty protective. Not that Shika couldn't take him.

[Durwen]

Nozomi felt the tears well up in her eyes, "Kiba..." She flung her arms around Kiba, and she began to sob, "It should have been me, I was team leader. I was forced to watch them be tortured to death by banished Sound nin. They thought I was going to bleed to death from my wounds, they left me there with my fallen comrades, I didn't die though... I managed to get away and I was found by a group of Jonin from Sound and they took care of me until I was better but ti was too late-" She stared over his shoulder at the wall behind him, her eyes glazed over, and her tiny body trembling.

Naruto scowled, "I am not!" He glared at her for a moment then sighed, "Yeah, I guess I'll go train with you... I suppose you need a strong ninja warrior like me to show you how it's done!" Naruto stood up and did a hero pose, the typical fists on hips, and chin in the air sort of pose.

Chouji opened the front door and isntantly saw the garbage full of his beloved junk food and treats, but to his dismay they were covered in rotten vegetables. He lead Shikamaru down the hall to Nozomi's room. He pushed opened the door to see his sister and Kiba, their arms around each other on Nozomi's bed, "Kiba! Get your paws off my sister!"

Kiba stroked her hair, "It's not your fault... you did everything you could... don't worry..." He let her cry into his shoulder, hoping he had made her feel much better. He jumped when he heard Choji. He rolled his eyes, "No baka! I'm trying to make her feel better." He said the last sentence calmer than the first, pulling away so Choji could see Nozomi's face. He knew Choji would collapse at seeing his sister like that. Not that he wanted Choji to collapse or anything...

Kanoa playfully punched Naruto's arm. "Psh, you can't beat me! I'm a higher rank than you, and I'm younger." She pointed out. She grinned, "Catch me if you can!" She yelled, taking off toward the training grounds. She could run pretty fast, but you could tell seeing how fast she runs when she's not hyper.

Shikamaru blinked. Was Nozomi, the strong Elite Jonin Nozomi, crying? 'So it's true. Her comrades died...' He thought to himself. He leaned against the door frame, not saying a word. He didn't want to upset anyone in the heightened condition of stress by saying something he might regret. He looked away from Nozomi back at Choji.

[Durwen]

Nozomi sat bolt upright at the sound of her elder brother's angry voice. She spun around to snap at Chouji but before she could her eyes fell on Shikamaru. She isntantly went beat red and hid her face from the two boys who had just intruded.

Naurto pouted, "Im not racing her, Im to full..." So he slowly began to walk towards the training grounds while holding his bloated tummy.

Chouji stared at his sister then back at Kiba, then at Nozomi and then again back at Kiba, "Yea right you were probably trying to take advantage of her cause she was crying you pervert!" Chouji roared angrily.

"Chouji!" Nozomi whipped back around at her brother furiously. She got off the bed and walked over to him and jabbed him in the chest, "Leave Kiba Alone! How dare you treat him liek that he's my best friend if you like it or not!"

"He's only going to try and get with you, Nozomi you aren't kids anymore! You've got-" His face went beat red, "Well, uh... THOSE!" He pointed down at her chest, looking the otehr way as he did so.

Nozomi looked down at her chest, as though she had forgotten she even had breast. She then looked up at Chouji angrily, "Yeah well you know what?! I went out with Hayate when I came back for the Chunin Exams and he kissed me! And I Kissed him back!"

Chouji's eyes buldged out of his head, "He was more then ten years older then you!"

"I was arranged to marry him Chouji, it didnt matter anyways, I was goign to have to marry him eventually if I liked it or not! Daddy was more then happy with me and Hayate!" Nozomi yelled back at him furiously.

"Father?!" Chouji looked like he was about to explode at his younger sister as well as extremely shocked that their father would approve of such a relationship....

"Yes Chouji, father made the arrangement when I was still in the Acadamy!" She snapped at him, "And get out of my room! What the hell are you doing in here anyways!? And you better go to the store and get some real food or you're starving for next couple weeks!" Nozomi snapped angrily.

Chouji turned and left his face red with anger and defeat...

Nozomi grabbed Shikamaru and pulled him into her room and slammed the door before Chouji could relise. She then jumped up and flung her arms around him, a bright smile on her face, "Shikamaru!"

Kiba glared at Choji, "I'm not Jaraiya, Choji!" He pointed out angrily, "I would never take advantage of a girl like that!" He looked like he was about to punch Choji for ever even bringing up the thought. He stopped as Nozomi told Choji off. He relaxed slightly and leaned on the part of the wall that the bed is leaning on.

Kanoa looked back and laughed. 'That Naruto ate so much ramen, he can't even run! The idiot...' She giggled to herself and looked forward at the training grounds just as she ran into someone that was already there. She fell backwards. She got up, rubbing her back, "Ow..." She walked over to the person that she ran into...

Shikamaru slightly raised an eyebrow. 'Did Nozomi just... blush?' He shook it off. Nozomi couldn't possibly... He smiled and slightly hugged her back, "Uhm, hi." He let go of the hug and then kinda felt awkward with him, Nozomi and Kiba. He didn't show it though. He leaned against the door.

[Durwen]

Sasuke looked down at Kanoa impatiently, "What are you doing Baka?" He stared at the younger girl, a disapproving look on his face.

Nozomi sighed, and turned to Kiba her right hand behind her head, "Sorry Kiba-kun, you know Choji..." She pulled Shika to the bed, and she returned to her original seat. "Uh, well... sorry you guys had to see that... I didn't mean to lose my temper," Nozomi said embaressedly.

Kanoa got up quickly. "I'm not a baka!" She glared, "I happen to be a higher rank than you, if you haven't noticed!" She gave him a look, "Plus I was racing the bloated knucklehead who decided not to run due to having so much ramen." She explains. "I thought we could train here in peace, but I guess emo sasu-gay will ruin our fun. Or do you plan to leave?" She knew how to poke at him just right.

Kiba laughs, "That's okay. It was awesome, actually!" He grins and pets Akamaru, who barks encouragingly. "Your brother has so be a little less protective, I mean you're almost 20. You can make your own choices." Akamaru jumps back into Nozomi's lap.

Shikamaru shrugs, "I don't really care. It was just troublesome, like most people." He yawns and falls back onto the bed, looking up at the ceiling.

Nozomi reached over and patted Akamaru then crawled across the bed and looked down Shikamaru as she replied to Kiba, "Well Kiba I am still eighteen... Chouji's just worried." She blinked a couple times and tilted her head to one side, "Shika... what are you doing?"

"Actually Baka, I'm an elite Jonin, you are only Jonin like Naruto... " He yawned, "What do you want with a twirp like Naruto anyways?" He looked at her with one eyebrow raised, "If you're so high and mighty why would you waste your time with him?"

Nozomi reached over and patted Akamaru then crawled across the bed and looked down Shikamaru as she replied to Kiba, "Well Kiba I am still eighteen... Chouji's just worried." She blinked a couple times and tilted her head to one side, "Shika... what are you doing?"

"Actually Baka, I'm an elite Jonin, you are only Jonin like Naruto... " He yawned, "What do you want with a twirp like Naruto anyways?" He looked at her with one eyebrow raised, "If you're so high and mighty why would you waste your time with him?"

Naruto was finally nearing the training grounds, still taking his sweet ol' time...

Kiba nods, "Yea I guess." He smiles at Nozomi. "And sorry, I forgot you were younger than me. 'Cause most of the girls I know are my age." He shrugs and smiles at her.

Kanoa glared, "Because he is nicer and stronger than you! And don't call me baka!!" She takes a step forward, toward him. She tightened one of her hands into a fist. She was going to pound Sasuke if he said anything else bad about her best friend. "Why don't you just leave the training grounds and let us train in peace!?"

Shikamaru shrugged, "I'm resting..." He mumbled, looking over at Nozomi, smiling slightly.

[Durwen]

Nozomi beamed, over at Kiba, "I guess so, there aren't to many girls my age in the vilalge are there?" She laughed and looked back down at Shikamaru, "You are sooo lazy Shikamaru." She beamed at him, her ponytail fell over her shoulder as she tilted her head.

Sasuke yawned, "Nah, I don't think so. I was training peacefully before you showed up, perhaps you should leave before the town clown arrives..." He leans close to her so that their face are almost touching, "After all Kanoa, you know as well as I do that Naruto doesn't challenge your skills enough."

Kiba grins and laughs, "There are, I just know the ones more like my age. But the ones my age are annoying." He adds.

"And you just noticed?" Shikamaru sighed, "Especially Ino. God that girl is troublesome."

Kiba laughed, "Whatever you say, lazy @ss..." He playfully rolled his eyes.

"What makes you think he doesn't challenge me enough!? Why don't you fight me Mr. Hotshot?" Kanoa glares, not even paying attention to the closeness of their faces. She curled her other hand into a fist, their noses very close to touching. "Yea! Fight me!!" You could almost see the fire in her eyes.

[Durwen]

Nozomi looked at Kiba, "Yeah, the whole five nin my age..." Nozomi laughed at the two boys, "You guys... oh, how is Ino-kun? I haven't seen her since a couple weeks before I left..."

Sasuke rolled his eyes, "Yeah right Kanoa, my sharingan is an unfair advantage over you... Why are you so defensive of naruto anyways? You like him or something?" Sasuke's eyes narrowed suspiciously as he looked at the yougner girl.

Kiba laughed, "Not everyone your age is a ninja you know. Like the people the own shops and stuff." He laughs.

Shikamaru answers Nozomi's question. "Ino's been good. Getting much better at her techniques." He laughed, "But she's still obsessive. At least Sakura has cooled down..." He smirked, sitting back up.

Kanoa glared, "You're not the only one with talent, you know! I happen to have a blood line trait, too, if you don't remember from the chunin exams!" She has control of water and some sort of deflection jutsu for long-ranged attacks. But she rarely uses the long-ranged deflection thing, because she's nore hand-to-hand combat. "And I protect Naruto-kun because he happens to be my best friend and he's really nice and not coc.ky and mean!"

[Durwen]

Nozomi shrugged, "Perhaps I don't notice so much sicne I am with the older nin more oftenly." She paused, "My mission... Hokage thought I would be ready, especially with two other strong elite jounin... She says that I did fine, that deaths aare apart of 'S' ranked missions-"

Nozomi froze, she looked at Shikamaru and Kiba her eyes wide, "Please, don't tell anyone... it is a secret, Lady Hokage is preparing me for ANBU... that's why I was sent on the last mission..." She bit her lip, before staring at her friends intensely, "You cannot tell anyone!" She glanced between the two boys, "Promise me!"

Sasuke rolled his eyes, "And that is what holds you back." He stood up straight and flicked his black, silken hair, "For one of the few nin in Konoha your age you are by far the most idiotic... Ito and Kayiko are immature but you blow even them out of the water... it's a shame you weren't more like Hito or Nozomi-kun... If you were to take your role as a nin more seriously, instead of running around chasing after Naruto in soem desperate hope that he may return your affection, although we all know that he's mad for Sakura, you might actually be a worthy oponent..." Sasuke looked down at her his eyebrows raised, "And look at those wounds, honestly, didn't you recieve them in a low ranking, B mission? What if you had been given an A or S rank? You would have been slaughtered. How are you suppose to become a Sensei, or an Anbu if you are still making such stupid mistakes... Frankly baka, if you were smart you would ditch the extra baggage..."

Kiba laughed and nodded, "I promise, I promise. Why don't you want people to know you're going to become an ANBU, though?" He wondered. Sometimes girls made no sense to him at all. If he was becoming an ANBU, he would tell practically everyone he knew!

Shikamaru nodded, "Okay, okay, no need to have an ulcer." He smiled at Nozomi, "Don't worry, we won't tell. We promise, right Kiba?"

Kanoa growled and took Sasuke's shoulders, kneeing him where the sun don't shine. "Frankly, Sasu-gay, if you were smart you wouldn't insult someone like that. She pushed him into the tree behind him, pressing the cold of the metal of a kunai to his neck. "Naruto is like a brother to me. He's nice and I care about what others think of him." Her glare turned icy cold, "Someone like you wouldn't understand protecting someone even if it puts themself if danger. All you do is care for yourself, and no one else. By the time you kill your brother, you are going to have no friends or fangirls left, so just give it up."

[Durwen]

Kanoa almost dropped her kunai, taken aback. She suddenly feels bad for kneeing Sasuke... But shakes the guilt off. "Psh, suure..." Kanoa mumbles, "You might care for Nozomi and Neji, but I can tell you sure as hell don't care for me. People that care for each other don't just diss their best friends!" She bit her lip and looked back at the slow-walking Naruto. Why was she still angry? She should be trying to become friends with Sasuke, not in denial and telling him off... She mentally slapped herself. 'You can be quite the fool at times...' She thought to herself.

[Durwen]

Nozomi's eyes looked upwards as Akamaru jumped up on her head. She blinked a couple times before reaching up an scratching the dog behind his ears, "Akamaru won't tell either!" She then beamed and looked at the two boys smiling.

Sasuke's smirk grew as he looked at her, "If I didn't care I wouldn't tell you to lose the baggage. Just like I told Nozomi to quit carrying Chouji around with her, and look at her now... She's an Elite Jounin, and look at Neji, I told him to lose Hinata and look at him, oh they still care for their kin don't get me wrong, but they had to loosen themselves away a bit so that they could focus on themselves... "

Naruto finally arrived at the training grounds, "I don't know if I can train Kanoa-" His eyes narrowed instantly as he spotted Sasuke, "What are you doing here Sasuke?"

"Training Knucklehead... you know like real ninja do," Sasuke said cooly, he wore the most mocking smirk he had yet to pull off as he looked at Naruto's facial expressions.

"Why you-" Naruto quickly stopped himself, "Who the hell do you think you are Sasuke?!" He then put on a childish mocking voice, "Ooh look at me Im Sasuke Im great and all powerful..." Naruto then pointed at Sasuke his expression angry, "You're not that great Uchiha!"

Sasuke yawned and raised his eyebrows, "I'm greater then you and that's all I need Uzamaki Naruto. You are pityful and a sorry excuse for a ninja, lsiten to yourself, you're nineteen naruto not twelve. You don't take being a nin seriously enough, and you're lazy, even Shikamaru and Chouji take their training more serious then you, you lack the fine concentration needed to excel as a ninja... Future Hokage? Hah!"

Naruto's face went red, he bowed his head and stared at the ground, his fists trembling, 'Why does he always have to one up me...'

Sasuke walked up to Kanoa, he looked down at her and then a strange, half smile twitched in the corner of hsi mouth, "I'll see you around Kanoa, remember what I said... and don't think that I don't care either kiddo... see ya..." With that Sasuke left the training grounds, Naruto watched him walk off his face red with embarressment.

Kiba laughs and scratches Akamaru's ear, "That's right, isn't it, Akarmaru!" He leans against a wall, "So, I wonder how pissed Choji will be when we finally come out of this room..."

Shikamaru whines, "Oh great next time we go on a mission together he'll be so freaking mad..." He sighed. "That's nice..."

Kanoa freezes in her place, her cheeks almost turning red when he stood close to her. Damn that Sasuke. She watched him walk away for a moment, before throwing the kunai. It sliced Sasuke's cheek very lightly, digging into the tree right in front of him, "At least you can't say my accuracy has suffered." She stated.

Kanoa walked over to Naruto, "I don't want to train either..." She sighed, knowing how much Sasuke's insults hurt sometimes. "Come on, I bought some ice cream today, and I can't possibly eat it all myself."

[Durwen]

Nozomi let out a small giggle, she looked over at Shikamaru and smiled at him, looking at him for a small moment before speaking, "Yeah, but he's kinda funny when he gets mad." Nozomi then took Akamaru off her head and cradled him in her arms...

Sasuke looked over his shoulder, a small grin on his lips, "Yeah, but that time wasn't for him was it?" He then walked off disappearing...

Naruto was still trembling, his eyes angered, 'Damn that Sasuke...' He had not heard the last exchanging of words between Kanoa and Sasuke, he was far to deep into his own mind for such thinfs.

Shikamaru nods, "True... I'll just have Ino protect me though." He shrugs, "I think Choji likes her anyway." He sits up and yawns, stretching as he does.

Kiba laughs, "Poor Choji..." He looks at Akamaru, "Nozomi you spoil Akamaru too much," and grins.

Kanoa opened her mouth to say something, but she was at a loss for words. She hated how Sasuke made her want to strangle him and hug him at the same time. She didn't even watch him go. She walked over to Naruto, "Come on, Naruto. I don't feel like training either." She hugged her best friend, "Come on..."

[Durwen]

Nozomi grinned, Chouji did like Ino but she always kept that confidential, never confirming the notion, but she felt like after six years of Chouji liking her that Nozomi could finally confirm it, "No Shikamaru, he does like does like Ino. It's not a matter of thinking, it's a fact."

Naruto looked over at her, "Yeah... let's go." He then beamed, "That ice cream sounds excellent though!"

Kanoa laughs, "Naruto you get excited real quickly!" She grins, "Well, come on now." She starts walking backwards towards Kiba's house. She watches Naruto, "I wonder if Kiba's home."

Nozomi went red in the face as she stoppedlaughing, tears in the corner of her eyes as she looked at Kiba, "Chouji and Ino? She's obsessed with deiting and Chouji's a junkfood junkie!" She laughed at Shikamaru's remark, "Sasuke practically hates Ino, shes been obsessed for years..."

Naruto only beamed as he followed, "Maybe, who knowswith him and Akamaru."

Shikamaru thinks for a moment, "Why don't you ask her if she likes Choji, even a little? I mean, you're a girl. She might actually tell you." He shrugs, "But whatever." He grins, "They are kinda incompatible..."

Kiba gives Shikamaru a look, "But if not Ino, then who?"

Kanoa giggles and nods, "Yea, he could be anywhere. Probably not at home." She reaches her house in about 15 minutes of walking, she walks over to the Inuzuka household.

[Durwen]

"Me?! Ino would probably lose it if I asked her," Nozomi replied laughing, "Maybe I should talk to her though, you know point out the good things about Chouji." She thought about it, her own heart aching at the moment, Kiba had been her best friend way before she was old enough to go to the Acadamy, but when she returned from her. When she had returned to Konoha almost two years previously ago, after she had not been back for four and a half years she instantly found herself experiencing new feelings for her old playmate. Then there was Shikamaru, she had crushed on him when she was in the acadamy, she had constantly followed the Chouji and Shikamaru around Konoha, she had always crushed on Shikamaru, his laid-back personality and intelligence awed her now. He was so mature and she constantly found herself blushing at him, rarely bringing herself to accompany Chouji and Shikamaru around Konoha.

Naruto follows, "Maybe he's with Nozomi-kun I heard she was back. Wouldn't suprise me, they're practically inseperable. I don't see why he doesn't jsut ask her out. I mean, he obviously likes her, doesn't he?" Naruto asked inquiringly to Kanoa.

Shikamaru looks at Nozomi and smiles. "Come on, you want your brother to finally get a girlfriend, don't you?" He asks. He lays back down on the bed, using his arms as a pillow.

Kiba laughs and nods. "Don't worry, Shikamaru. Chouji's not that helpless." He grins, and Akamaru barks..

Kanoa's jaw drops, "He likes her!? Naruto-kun!! You know I can't keep secrets!" She pouts. "There goes hanging out with Nozomi." She laughs and walks into the house, going straight to the kitchen to get the ice cream and two spoons.

Nozomi laughed then her smile turned soft, "My brother is a good guy, he deserves the best for sure. I want to see him happy." She then brightened up giving the peace sign, "I'll do it!"

"Well Im not sure but he's with her all the time I don't see why he wouldn't, she's pretty and really strong. They say that she could become Hokage one day. She's only eighteen and she has become one of the top elite nin," Naruto replied smartly, quite proud of himself for hsi intelligence and logic.

Kiba and Shikamaru grin. "Good." Shikmaru says, shifting his weight for a moment.

Kiba laughs, "I never thought I'd be trying to hook Chouji up..." He shakes his head, Akamaru suddenly becoming hyper.

Kanoa gives Naruto a look, "You seem to know a lot about her..." She said that in a way that said do you like her or something? She grins and giggles, "And I thought you were going to become hokage, not Nozomi?"

[Durwen]

"Well Chouji isn't the only one who never dates anyone, look at us three. We've all been single for ages, well I was engaged to Hayate but during the Chuunin exams-" She gave her head a shake, she didn't want to remember Hayate's slaughter. "The only difference between us and Chouji is that we could easily get someone at anytime, and no doubt we'll all have dates for the festival-" Nozomi's eyes widened, "The Spring Festival! Let's get Chouji and Ino together on a date then! It'll be perfect, that cherry blossoms will be out, it'll be warm, all of Konoha will be lit with lanterns... And the dancing and music... it's perfect!" Nozomi beamed, however inside she wondered, Could she herself actually get a date for the festival?

"Well Of Course I'm going to be Hokage!" Naruto snapped at her, "Nozomi-chan is Chouji-kuns sister, everyone knows her, she's considered a prodigy amongst the Leaf nin, and I didn't say she was gonna be Hokage, I jsut said everyone thinks she's gonna be. I have to admit, she kinda is competition... her Shadow techniques are unique. They say her mother was from the legendary Hidden Shadow that was destroyed by Orochimaru. She is the sole survivor of her mothers clan, Nozomi killed her uncle when she discovered that her uncle had promised her to Orochimaru as an assasin. That's why she was taken away to train, but she never knew... There's alot of stories about her, she never confirms any of them but it's still a scary thought. It's a good thing that I know what I am up against though... rather then being suprised by her, it'd be disasturous... But no worries Kanoa, I'll be Hokage and when I am, I'll make you one of my ANBU!"

Kiba nods, "Great idea!! Now that Chouji has a date... what about us three?" He looks down at Akamaru, smiling slightly.

Shikamaru sighs, "I'll probably not go or go with someone not so troublesome..." He leans his head back against the bed. 'Like Nozomi...' He says in his head. But he wouldn't ask her here, with Kiba here. She probably liked Kiba more, anyway... Girls were so confusing.

Kiba laughs, "You say that about everything, Shika."

Kanoa grins, "You won't have to. I'll already be an ANBU by the time you're hokage! Believe it!" She giggled at the use of Naruto's catchphrase. She gives Naruto his ice cream and plops herself down on the couch, turning on the TV. 'Hm... what about the Festival? Should I ask Naruto...? No...'

[Durwen]

Nozomi laughed, "Us three? I haven't even been to the festival since Hayate and I were engaged..." It pained her to think of her slaughtered ex-fiancee, it was true enough that the marriage had been arranged, but they had shared a strong bond and love that was strong and vibrant. She shrugged, "I dunno, if I have to go stag I will..." However she was thinking much differently then her cool appearance showed, 'If only Kiba or Shikamaru would ask me... well I highly doubt either will while the others around...'

Naruto munches on his icecream hapilly, 'Damn this is some good icecream...' He glanced over at Kanoa, his eyes staring at her for a long moment before turning back to his icecream, 'I wonder if she has ramen...'

Kiba sighs, "I'm thinking of asking someone, but I'm not too sure..." He looks at Shikamaru and Nozomi, avoiding eye contact with either of them. "I mean, she probably doesn't' like me back..."

Shikamaru raises an eyebrow, "Who is it?" He was interested and sat up. "Not that I can't say I'm not in the same situation, I'm just curious." He laughs lightly.

Kanoa looks at Naruto, "You okay?" She asks, "Did you wana say something?" She noticed him looking at her.

[Durwen]

Nozomi felt her heart suddenly stop and lurch, she quickly covered the look of pain that flashed across her eyes as she waited intently for Kiba's reply.

"I was jsut thinking about ramen," Naruto said a heaping pile of icecream in his mouth, as soon as he swallowed it he jumped up, "Ow!Ow!Ow!Ow!" He ran into the middle of the room and bent his head down.

Kiba blushes and looks away, "I don't really wanna say... I'll tell you later..." He murmurs, "What about you, Shika? Who do you wanna ask?"

Shikamaru almost blushes, "If you're not going to say, I'm not going to say." He took a deep breath, looking over at Nozomi. "Does Nozomi wanna go with anyone?" He asks her.

Kanoa giggles, "Naruto, you had ramen a half hour ago!" She watches him and races over, kneeling next to him, "Don't eat so much, Naruto, you keep getting brain freezes." She sighs slightly.

[Durwen]

Nozomi went beat red, "Me?!" She looked suprised and shocked at this, "Well... I dunno... maybe.... uh-" She rubbed the back of her head nervously letting out an equally nervous laugh, "Well I suppose maybe if someone were to ask me..."

Naruto pulled himself back straight taking in a deep breathe, "Much Better!" He gave Kanoa a peace sign along with a huge grin.

Shikamaru laughs, taking a breath. He looked out the window, "What time is it?" He looks at Nozomi again, smiling.

Kiba watches Nozomi. 'Maybe I should ask her... I mean she said... But later. It would be so embarrassing to ask her out in front of Shika...' He was lost in his thoughts.

Kanoa laughs, "Naruto you're silly." And grins at him, "Stop eating so much ice cream at one time." She gets back into her seat, watching him for a moment.

[Durwen]

"I think it's past dinner, father must be out with your dad," Nozomi replied as she looked out the window. Her dark eyes with the maroon cresent around her pupils fell upon shika, before turning to Kiba, "Kiba-kun you are rather quiet..."

"You're not my mother," Naruto replies glaring at her before plopping down next to her on the couch.

Shika laughed, "Does that mean I'll have to help him home again when he gets drunk? Ugh, what a drag, mom will be mad." He rolled his eyes.

Kiba looked over at her, almost blushing. He shakes his head, grinning, "Just thinking about stuff... right Akamaru?" Akamaru barks and jumps up.

Kanoa sighs. She giggles and gives Naruto a big bear hug! "Aww, I sowwy Naru-kun." She says in a cute baby voice, smiling up at him.

[Durwen]

Nozomi looked at Kiba for a short second, her dark eyes holding onto his for that mere second as though she were trying to read his inner thoughts. However there was no such proof that the Yukinomi line had such gifts, true enough their shadow arts held secrets to interrogation but it was their eyes that made others turn away. When a Yukinomi looked into one's eyes, they often turned away because of the intense and peircing gaze that the Clan holds.

She turned to Shikamaru, prying her eyes from her short glance at Kiba, "I'll probably go get dad tonight myself, we can always walk together Shikamaru." Nozomi offered happily.

Naruto's face went red, weither from lack of oxygen or embaressment was unsure, "Uh-Kanoa..." He looked down at her his face getting redder. 'She's gotta stop doing this... I dunno if I can hold myself off if she continues'

Shikamaru laughs, "Having someone to help would be nice." He looks out the window again, "How long do you think until we have to go get them?" He wondered, smiling still.

Kiba tore his eyes away from Nozomi, even before she tore her eyes from his. He looked down at Akamaru, petting his dog's head.

Kanoa giggled and let go of the hug, going back to her own ice cream. She leaned her shoulder softly on Naruto's, still grinning at him. She looked around, getting up and turning the fan on, then going back and sitting down next to Naruto again.

[Durwen]

Nozomi looked over at Shikamaru, snapping out of her private thoughts, "Well they're never done till late... so I'm not too sure..." She looked at the sun outside, "It's nearly dinner... I'd say another three hours?"

Naruto ate slowly, his eyes itnent on the tv before him. He then turned to Kanoa, "Hey, Kanoa-kun..." He took a deep breathe, his face nervous, "Why do you think that Sakura never liked me? Is there something wrong with me?"

Kiba looked out the window, "I probably have to go home soon, for dinner..." He sighed, smiling, "Heh, it's more fun with you guys, but you know how moms are..."

Shikamaru nods, "Yea. Don't worry, Kiba, next time we hang it'll be right after lunch." He smiled slightly, a bit or a smirk in it.

Kanoa gazed at Naruto softly for a moment before answering, "I think she likes you. I mean, probably deep down, and she wouldn't want to admit it, but I bet she likes you more than she likes Sasuke, at least." She smiled lightly, "There's nothing wrong with you, in fact you're a really cool person. And plus, if Sakura ever turns you down, it's her loss, not yours."

[Durwen]

"Awe you leaving Kiba-kun?" She crawled over to him and hugged him tightly, "And you better come over tomorrow or Ill be cross!" She gave him a wink and a grin as she pulled away.

Naruto looked at Kanoa for a long moment, "None of the girls like me... They all like Sasuke! Sasuke this, and Sasuke that!"

Kiba laughs and hugs her back, "Don't worry, I will, I will..." He smiles, sliding off her bed. "Wait, Akamaru wants to say 'bye' too." Akamaru jumps at Nozomi and licks her face.

Shikamaru leaned back on the bed, yawning slightly.

Kanoa sighed, "Well those girls are shallow. They only like Sasuke 'cause they think he's 'cool'" She finger-quotes the word cool. "And besides, he's a jerk so he'll end up lonely while in a couple years everyone will be wanting you."

[Durwen]

Nozomi squeezed Akamaru, the dogs cheek pressing agaisnt hers. "Good-night Akamaru, you behave for Kiba-kun for me kay?" She smiled up at Kiba, her eyes soft. She then looked back down at the dog, "You make sure Kiba comes tomorrow kay?!" She then handed the animal back to Kiba, a smile on her face.

Naruto sighed, he didn't appear completely convinced at all. He then looked up at her, a brave look on his face, "Hey Kanoa, since we both don't have dates for the festival wanna go with me?"

Akamaru barked both times in answer to her. Kiba smiles and takes the dog, waving to Nozomi and Shikamaru and walkinf out of her room and out of her house, walking home.

Shikamaru smiles, "You spoil Akamaru whenever you get the chance..." He pointed out, smiling. Now that Kiba was gone, what was holding him back from asking? Fear.

Kanoa's cheeks turned a deep red. She nodded slowly, smiling. "Sure!" She finished her ice cream, looking into the empty bowl that was on her lap. She looks back at Naruto, "You done with your food? I can put the dishes in the sink..."

[Durwen]

Nozomi stood still for a moment before turning around and sitting back on her bed, "I helped raise and train Akamaru... In his eyes I'm his mother." She smiled softly, "I used to bottle feed him as a pup, "Now he's full grown, even though he's small, he's turned out to be a great nin-dig." She smiled over at Shikamaru, "I'm Akamaru's mother in his eyes." She looked out the window, "Chouji should be back soon..."

"Thanks Kanoa!" He handed her the plate happily. He then turned his attention to the television, "I guess it's nearing dinner isn't it?"

Shikamaru nods, "I guess I should go, then I'll meet up with you when we have to get our fathers..." He stands up, stretching and yawning. He blushes slightly and turns to Nozomi, "One thing... I mean, since you don't really have your eye on anyone, and I'm not sure who to ask, maybe we could... go to the festival together... As friends, I mean..." Shikarmaru mentally hit himself for adding that last part.

Kanoa smiles, "Hey, Naruto. I can ask my aunt if you can eat dinner with us. I mean, you usually eat dinner alone, don't you? Unless you'd prefer to be alone..?"

"What are you still doing here?!" Chouji appeared behind Shikamaru before nozomi could even answer/ His eyes wer e narrowed on him accusingly.

"Shikamaru was jsut leaving, he wanted to make sure I wasn't walking alone tonight when I go get father. Kiba just left two seconds ago!" Nozomi was used to saving the villages men from Chouji's protective anger. "So, I guess I'll see you around Shikamaru-san. Farewell." She hoped that he knew she still intended to meet him that night to walk their fathers home.

"Nah. Kiba will be home soon, I should get going, and I need t otrain. But I can come over tomorrow when I wake up and we could hang out if you want," Naruto replied happily.

Shikamaru smiled slightly and waved, walking out the door, avoiding Chouji. 'Ugh.. Chouji can be troublesome sometimes... I really wish I knew what she was going to say...' shikamaru thought as he watched the sky on his way home.

Kanoa smiled, "Okay, I'll see your tommorow, then." She hugs him tightly around the neck and laughs a bit, "Bye!" She waves at him and watches him walk outside. She sighs and heads upstairs to the guest room, opening the window and looking out it.

Nozomi laid in her bed with nothing but her booty shorts on. Her long black hair fell around the young woman's lithe, muscular frame. The light shone bright through her curtains as she slept.

She had stayed up late to go collect her father from the bar. Chouji had insisted on going however which prevented her from giving an answer to Shikamaru.

Nozomi slept peacefully, her body not yet letting her rise from her dreams of the night. Her internal alarm clock had not woken her up for her meeting with Kiba, who she had told to come over in the morning.

Chouji paced in the living room, Kiba would be there any second. He had to ask him something very important. He could have went to Shikamaru, but he knew eShika's reaction would be unhelpful.

Sasuke walked silently, his feet were carrying him to a different location then his usually morning training session. The sun has not long risen, and there was still a slight whisp of coolness in the breeze. He reached his destination, slowly he reached out an knocked in an elegant way. Kanoa should stil lbe home...

Shikamaru sighed, laying in his bed with his regular day clothing on. He was tired and didn't feel like changing. He watched the back of his eyelids, not being able to sleep, but trying. He really wanted Nozomi's answer, but of course Chouji had to come instead of her.

Kiba was strolling along the street, humming to himself. He didn't see many people up, but most people that were up were either ninjas in the training fields or their jobs forced them to. He watched the dawn sky, then directed his attention to the door of the house that was coming up. He softly knocked on Nozomi's door, waiting for someone to answer.

Kanoa yawned. She hadn't even woken up, she was pertty tired from before. Kiba was going to Chouji's, and Hana was already training. She sighed and got up, in her PJs. Her pajamas were just a solid red tank top and blue green/red plaid boxer shorts. She opened the door, "Yea?" She was still rubbing her eyes free from sleepiness.

[Durwen]

Chouji opened the door and pulled Kiba inside quickly. He looked at Kiba determinedly, "How do I get Ino to go to the festival with me?!" His usually slanted thin eyes squinted so that his pupils could barely be seen.

"Kanoa-kun," Sasuke's voice came out slick and smooth. His cool dememaner exceedign his usual manner of presence, "How are you this morning?"

Kiba laughs, "Just ask her, dude! Or send her flowers or something like that." He shrugs, "Who knows, maybe you can get Nozomi to ask for you." He laughs, sitting down on the couch.

Kanoa blinked, looking at Sasuke. She almost flinched at her appearance and blushed slightly, "Yes Sasuke-kun?" She thought for a moment, "Tired, why are you here?"

[Durwen]

"Yeah maybe..." Chouji stared at Kiba for a long moment, "I never knew about how serious Nozomi and Hayate were about their engagement, let alone that they're connection had grown as strong as Nozomi claims..." He paused for a minute before looking at Kiba, "The Hokage wishes her to be matched with Neji..." His eyes fell on Kiba, he turned to him calmly, "If anyone is to be with my sister Kiba, that guy should be you, after all," He sort of smirked, "You've been there as far as we can all remember. You've been the guy who's been by her side no matter what... even when she was working for Sound, she was fortunate to relise Orochimaru's plot and escape, but she could have easily been sucked under his influence. When she came back here, you were there right by her side, even after what she had been through and done... I want you to know I have nothing agaisnt you man, I jsut worry about her... It's instincts since mothers gone..."

"I would like you to accompany me on a walk if you wouldn't mind..." Calm, still as ice, Sasuke's eyes peered down at her. His face held no expression, as usual, the blank, cool expression painted his face.

Kiba blinked at the sudden change of conversation. He smiled to himself as Chouji talked. 'So does that mean he wouldn't mind if I asked Nozomi to the Festival? Maybe I should ask him...' Kiba looked back up at Chouji and nods, "Yea, that's what brothers do. They look out for their siblings, right?" He grins and looks around. 'I dunno... I guess it might be better not to ask Chouji...'

Kanoa watched Sasuke for a moment, "Okay... mind if I change first?" She didn't wait for an answer as she pulled Sasuke inside her cousin Kiba's house. "Just wait here." She sprinted off to her room to get out of her pajamas.

[Durwen]

"Nozomi hasn't woken up yet, she's in her room... go ahead, it's about time she woke up..." Chouji said, "I'm going to go train..." He paused, "If I train maybe it'll impress Ino you know?" He then headed out the door.

Nozomi was laying on her chest, the bandages from her mission wrapped firmly in place. Her hair laid around her as she slept soundlessly, her back ever so slightly moving up and down from her light breathes.

Sasuke entered the house and stood there silently 'What am I doing here?' He knew why, but he didn't dare to admit it to himself, but he would have to later, after the walk...

Kiba grins and nods, "Yea, she likes guys that train. It makes them look really strong... which you are..." He encourages Chouji as he walks out the door. He walks to Nozomi's room and lightly knocks on the door, "Nozomi?" He whispers as he opens the door, peeking inside the room. He saw Nozomi sleeping and blushes, "Nozomi?" He says louder.

Kanoa was wearing her black outfit ((the one in looks)) without the armbands. Her bangs were swept to the side of her face with the dark red paw, her black hair slightly covering it, but making it show up more against her pale skin. Her hair was brushed and let down, hanging a bit down past her shoulders. All this happened in a matter of around...5 minutes? She walks back out into the living room, "Okay, I'm ready!"

[Durwen]

Nozomi slightly figited in her sleep, a slight murmer came from her sleeping lips, "Kiba... don't go." She was deep in slumber, and aparently has spoken in her sleep. She became still again, her back raising up and down ever so slightly again.

Sasuke nods and leads the way out the door silently, not a single word leacing his lips till they were outside, "Come..." He then headed towards the city gates where the forests and outer village layed.

Kiba jumps and looks at her. Wasn't she sleeping? He slowly walked over to her, sitting on the edge of the bed. "Nozomi..." He said again, lightly touching her shoulder. "Nozomi are you awake?" He didn't bring Akamaru with him because he was getting a trip to the vet. And it was a good thing to, 'cause Akamaru barks a lot...

Kanoa nods, following a couple steps behind him, "So... what'd you wanna talk to me about?" She yawned, stretching her arm wide and to the sky. She was kinda cold but not enough to make it a big deal.

[Durwen]

Nozomi's eyelashes flickered, slowly and grogily her eyes opened, the maroon halos becoming visible. She slowly looked up at him, "Kiba-kun... Did I sleep in?" She placed a hand on her forhead and then carefully she sat up while maneuverign her arms to cover her bare chest. She let out a small sweet yawn before looking at kiba, "Kiba..." His expression was not so much related to her half naked body as it was to something else, "What is on your mind Kiba-kun?"

Sasuke barely gave her a glance as he continued walking. "Just follow..." it was not time yet, no, he had it all planned out, it had to be doen the way he had planned...

Kiba got trapped into watching those eyes again, but in a different way than before. He blushed lightly but kept his eyes trained on hers, "I... I just wanted to ask you something..." He took a deep breath and waited for a moment. He kind of practiced this in his head, but now that he was actually in front of her, he was much more nervous.

Kanoa sighed, "Okay...." She watches the sky for a minute, then after she got bored she looked back at the back of Sasuke's head. "Where are we going?" She wondered, looking around.

Nozomi tilted her head to the side ever so slightly, her waist length black hair falling over her bare shoulder like a graceful sheet of the night's sky. Her black, maroon halo'd eyes searched his gaze, a mixed look upon her rounded face, "Kiba-kun?" She had never before seen him so nervous, and for him to not be able to speak even to her was beyond her minds comprehension. Carefully, or perhaps out of experience, she managed to pull out her right arm which she then extended towards him. Her hand, delicate and soft was placed upon his, and her fingers curled around his reasuringly, "Ask, I am listening..."

If she had been thinking, maybe she would have been able to interpret her best friend from childhood years with ease, unfortunately she was groggy from the strong healing medications she had been given and she was still not a hundred percent in the mornings since her injuries. 'Kiba... what makes you hesitate? What could possibly cause you such hesitance and fear?'

"Have you ever truly looked at the landscapes, the forests, the rivers, and the abundance of life that surrounds Konoha?" Sasuke asked, but not for an answer, for he then continued, "Many of our Village never relise the beauty and tranquillity of our homeland, they take it for granted, they are blinded and do not see what is right in front of them..."

Sasuke stopped and turned to Kanoa, "Naruto is very much the same, true enough he loves Konoha, but he does not truly appreciate nor does he understand the delicacy and fragility of our homeland and village. He also fails to see what is right before him. All his life, right before him was a treasure greater then Hokage..." Sasuke looked up at the sky, leaving a slight moment of silence before he continued, "That treasure Kanoa is not only the greatest friendship he has ever known, but the beauty and remarkable talents that you hold..."

Sasuke looked back at her now, his face blank as ever, but he meant the words that were coming from his lips so carefully, so precisely, "Kanoa, I do see you, and I see what you are, and what you will become... I appreciate you, and I may have even fallen in love with you..."

Kiba feels less nervous because of Nozomi's actions. She was so beautiful, so kind and understanding... He took a breath to compose himself. He turned his hand to grasp Nozomi's, "Your friendship means a lot to me, and I don't want things to get weird between us, but I want you to know that throughout the years I've grown to like you as more than a friend. I just wanted to know if you felt the same way, and if you wanted to go to the Festival with me..." That was a lot harder to get through than her thought it would be, but he did it without stuttering or having his voice do that thing where it gets real quiet so you can't hear it.

All the while Sasuke was making his speech, Kanoa's face became more and more like the color of a tomato, and she did not fully understand what just happened. Weren't they supposed to be enemies, rivals!? What the weirdest thing was, was that she think she may feel the same way. But what about Naruto? She loved him too... She finally got to the point where her mind let her speak with actual sounds coming out of her mouth, "I don't understand... Yesterday I was just some baka... B-but I'm not saying that I don't feel the same way! I think I do... I-..."

[Durwen]

Nozomi stared at Kiba, he liked her. Her hear sank a little, her feelings were much stronger for the young man then jsut liking. She swallowed, trying desperately to keep herself composed, "Kiba," She couldn't bear her disappointment, her eyes grew sad as she looked at him, "I don't like you Kiba-kun, I-" She swallowed again as a slight tear formed in the corner of her eye, "I love you..." She turned her face away from him, her black silken hair covering her face, "

Sasuke looked down at her and placed his hands on both her shoulders, "Kanoa, you are not the baka, Naruto is. True enough I see how naruto holds you back, taking away from your own spectacular potential, and true enough I feel like you are being some what foolish in keeping him near, but, that does not mean that I could not love you." Sasuke did not smile, Sasuke rarely smiled anyways, but his eyes looked at her softly as he continued, "Anything is possible Kanoa, and you are detined for greatness, and I know what you are capable of, I appreciate you and I love you..."

Kiba blinks and blushes slightly, "Nozomi-..." He leaned towards her and hugged her shoulders tightly. "I love you, Nozomi." He pulled back for a moment, brushing some of her hair out of her face. He kisses her forehead lightly and hugs her again.

Nozomi's eyes widened as he grabbed and held her slender body to his, "Kiba-kun..." Her voice was soft and quiet as she hugged him back. When his lips pressed against her forhead she had lightly closed her eyes, "I am... I am glad..." She smiled at him, her eyes tender.

Sasuke looked down at her, "Kanoa..." he grabbed her shoulders gently, and then slowly he pulled her close to him. His left arm wrapped around her waist as his right hand lifted her chin ever so slightly, "Let me be the one that holds you, whispers sweet tenders to you and loves you deeply..."

Kiba smiles, holding her gently. "I was wondering... If you'd wanna go to the Festival with me..." Her rested his head lightly on top of hers, stroking her hair lightly. He closed his eyes, just loving to be around her.

Kanoa blushed once more. She closed her eyes for a moment, and after a minute opened them again and looked into Sasuke's eyes. She nods slowly, "Okay..." She felt as if Sasuke's eyes were staring past hers into her soul; it made her feel vulnerable.

Nozomi smiled at him her eyes brightening, "Yeah, of course," She wrapped her arms around is waist, covering her naked upper body. She looked up at him smiling softly, "Does my brother know??"

Sasuke then smiled at her, "Then I am happy... and you will come with me to the Festival then?" Sasuke said looking down at her, his eyes for once not cold, but warm.

Kiba thinks for a moment, "I think he does." He smiles, looking down into her eyes, "Uhm, do you wanna pull a shirt on...?" Kiba blushed again, laughing a bit nervously.

Kanoa opens her mouth to talk but then felt that speechlessness again. "Uhm, I-... I already said yes... to Naruto..." She couldn't look into his eyes anymore and leaned forward, burying her face in Sasuke's chest. For some reason this information made her feel bad.

Sasuke nodded, his eyes seemed to have lost a sliver of their warmth, "Understandable, I could always go with someone else... not like it'd be hard to find someone." The tone in his voice reflected his annoyance with all the Konoha girls that swooned over Sasuke, "So long as Naruto doesn't touch you..." He smiled at Kanoa again warmly.

Kiba grins and holds the pillow to his face until Nozomi was finished. He threw the pillow back at her, "So, what do you wanna do for the rest of the day? Now that we've got confessions and emotional overload checked off."

Kanoa nodded, laughing lightly. But she must have known what Sasuke was feeling at the moment, because when he said he would go with someone else she got a bit jealous. And she knew how all the Sasuke fangirls wanted to 'revive his clan'.

"I dunno," she was still dazed by what had just occured, "Perhaps we should meet up with Chouji and Shikamaru?" She ran her fingers through her long hair before beginning to twist her fingers so that a braid began to form through out her hair, leaving her bangs to the left side of her face.

Sasuke looked down at her, "You are quiet. Is something wrong?" He stared down at her, an all to knowing look in his handsome smirk.

Kiba nods, "Yea, that sounds fun." He smiles. He couldn't stop looking at her now, she was just beautiful. He grinned and thought for a moment, "Why don't we all go out for breakfast?" He wondered, "Somewhere other than Ichiraku though." He laughs, "Not the best for the morning."

Kanoa bites her lip cutely and shakes her head, "No..." But she knew he knew. But, hey, that's how he knows that his feelings are mutual.

"Hai, so where would you liek to go then?" Nozomi asked curiously as her fingers moved skillfully down her hair, three-quarters of the braid finished.

Kiba nods, sending Akamaru off to go get Shikamaru and Chouji. He thought for a moment, "Do you always hang around guys more than girls?" He grins, wrapping his hands around her waist and laying his hand softly on the small of her back. Oh Nozomi... she was so beautiful. He wondered how he could get so lucky that she would like him back.

She subconsciously took another half step towards Sasuke, it was kinda cold out today... She walked slowly, watching the clear blue sky. She wondered how this day could get any better. It was still pretty early, though, but not so early that there wasn't a lot of people out and about.

"Yes, you should know that Kiba-kun, besides for Ino I have had very few female companions, it may have relation to the fact that I was raised by my male kin, from my father, to brother, to uncle. I have barely been exposed to other woman, besides most females are nothing but half-wit hussies and nothing but prattling(gossiping) bakas," Nozomi replied looking up at Kiba softly, "I grew up following around none other then Chouji, Shika, and yourself like an eager puppy, always admiring you three, even though I had been your equals. I admired you three, you were older and you three always seemed so brave when you got into mischief at teh acadamy..." She took one of his hands, her eyes shining in reminisce. She then seperated herself from him, Shall we?" She lead him out of the house before lockign the door. She turned to him, once again taking his hand, "lead the way love..."

As they reached the inner village Sasuke draped his arm around kanoa's slender shoulder, holding her firmly. Indeed as he suspected his flight of fan girls was present in the main street and instantly their eyes fell upon the iamge before them. They're eyes were fileld with disbelief and then they quickly turned and found one another and began they're foolish whispering.

Kiba nods. "Hmmm... don't get too attached to any other guys. I just might get jealous." He walks out of the house slowly and leisurely, watching her and the sky. "Plus, lots of guys would be after you, but because of your beauty, not what's underneath." He traded her hand to his hand on the outside, wrapping the first around around her waist. He couldn't believe it. He wondered how many guys would get jealous at them... hm... this was going to be a very interesting day. The walk to the pastry shop wasn't very far, yet Shikamaru and Chouji weren't there yet. Eh, he didn't mind.

Kanoa blushes lightly. Wow... there were lots of fangirls. And I mean a LOT. She wondered how many girl would try to be her friend just to get to Sasuke... damn backstabbers... She chuckled lightly at ehr own thought. She needed to be enjoying this time, not soaked in her own maybe afraid thoughts. She flashed a smile up at Sasuke, a hesitant arm finding it's way around his waist as he held her shoulders. Sasuke was warm, no matter how cold he looked.

Nozomi looked around taking in her surroundings, it was a quaint little shop and smelt delicously of fresh bread, cakes, and pastries of all sorts. She walked over to the nearest table and took a seat. It wasn't too bad looking, she had heard of the new shop being placed in Konoha by a villager from Sunagakure, and sure enough as she noted her surrounding details she spotted several decorations that she recognised as Suangakure styling. She drifted back into a faint memory of her time in Sunagakure, these had not been easy years for her, constantly being taken to each of the ninja nations to be trained in their arts. If only then she had known earlier that her uncle had been sculpting her to becoem an assasin for Orochimaru... her eyes seemed greyed over with mists as she explored her private thoughts. Her mind wandered to Gaara a young man who, liek Naruto, had a demon sealed within his body... 'Gaara...' she had seen the demon unleashed, and deep down she felt a pain, she knew exactly what it must be liek for him. Her eyes drifted over to Kiba, so many tiems she had longed to tell him the true nature of her injuries... only the Hokage and elder elite nin knew of her unfortunate burden. "It is nice here Kiba," Nozomi said smiling at him, pushing away her memories and thoughts.

Sasuke looked over at Kanoa, "Would you like to go to the pastry shop Kanoa? I believe that Kirosha is baking fruit fileld pastries t oday an I here they are good."

Kiba smiles and nods, "It is." He took a deep breath, taking in the sweet smell of the place. It was almost heavenly.

Shikamaru walked in with Chouji. "Hey..." He mumbled, yawning a bit. He had just been woken up by a barking Akamaru. He held the dog in his arms, it was drooling and barking, looking like a happy little dog, "You left this at my house?" He handed it to kiba, chuckling slightly.

Kanoa nods, "That sounds nice." She grins, "I hear they're really good, too. Let's go then." She takes Sasuke's hand and walks slightly faster.

Nozomi looked up brightly, "Good Morning Shikamaru, Chouji." She had not yet figured out how she would tell her brother and Shika about her and Kiba's newest developments. However she was glad to see her brother and Shika both present, perhaps she owuld wait to tell them til lafter breakfast, or perhaps Kiba himself would take the lead and share their news.

Chouji grumbled before sitting down, "You slept in this morning, that's unlike you Nozomi." He eyed her, "You haven't slept in since we were little... are your wounds so bad?"

Nozomi nodded slightly, "Yes, and that is all you need to know Big Brother, to give details of even my wounds would be spilling secrets that are to remain gaurded udner any circumstance."

Chouji nodded approvingly, however he was not finished, "You are the last of the Yukinomi Clan sister, I fear for you, as much as you are an Akimichi, you have taken after Ayama, and you are the last of the shadow nin, and the Yukinomi ways are dangerous. Without constant training and dicipline you could very well not only be endangering yourself, but the village as well... Be more careful baby sister... I will not always be ther to protect you..."

Nozomi stared at her brother in shock, what had overcome him? Another dangerous mission... The majority of jounin and up in those days were never told anythign about the real purpose of their mission, only that they were to collect an object, information, or anythign else, but never were they allowed to look. These were strange days for Konoha, and yet, the Hokage had yet to even share with anyone on the events unfolding aroudn them, except, for Nozomi who the Hokage had sent out multiple times on missions reserved for ANBU. Even Chouji had been hard at worl lately, but the missions were gettign harder for everyone, and her brotehr was indeed worried...

Sasuke began to lead her towards the Pastry shop, "It is a nice day, it isn't often these days that many nin get time off... the Hokage has been acting strangely lately... Have you noticed?"

Shikamaru nods slightly, shifting his weight onto his other foot. "Nozomi, can I talk to you about something?" He sighed, but kept his face looking very disinterested as he didn't wait for an answer and dragged Nozomi out of the shop by her wrist. He needed an answer now or never. But he didn't want to say anything at first, wondering if she remembered what he had asked her the day before.

Kiba blinked, watching them. "Shikamaru's strange lately... So are you, Chouji. What was with that whole speech to your sister? You know she can take care of herself." But he really wanted to know about the 'true nature of her injuries.'

Kanoa nodded, "Yea, usually by now I would already be sent on some lame mission that takes up a whole day to accomplish..." She laughed lightly. Her grip on Sasuke's hand tightened a bit, though. She was kind of worried for Lady Tsunade.

Nozomi was perplexed by Shikamaru's actions, when they halted outside she slightly jolted. She stared at him blankly for a few minutes, Had he already found out about Kiba and her, and that maybe he felt that Kiba wasn't good enough? No, Impossible... She suddenly dawned on what he was thinking, The Festival... She had totally forgotten...

Chouji stared at him a moment, it was hard for him to keep concentration with such tempting smells around him, however the mention of his sister captured his complete attention, "Nozomi's Shadow Jutsus, they..." He thought for a moment, "They are dangerous to her, not only do her shadow techniques thrive from shadows and darkness, they also can link to the dead and the shadow illusions are-" He glanced to make sure Nozomi was not returning as of yet, "-They are formidable, however, the dead, the illusions, the shadows, they are drawn through more then jsut her chakra, but her very life-force, her soul... if her shadow arts were to be used, and if she were to make the slightest fault in her jutsus, she could unleash destructiosn itself and lose her life..."

Chouji leaned forward, placing his elbows on the table and placing his chin on his hands which were clasped together, "Lady Tsunade has been keeping Nozomi very close as of late, and sending her on missiosn she will not even entrust to her own ANBU. And then there's the injury, Nozomi will not allow it to be seen, and when I went to ask Lady Tsunade about it, she told me that she will be fine and that I should not look further into the subject anymore. She was firm about the request, if it even was one, it was more of an order."

"I believe she suspects that there are bigger things going on outside of Konoha... and aparently so," Sasuke glanced over at Kanoa, "You know of Yukinomi Nozomi as we both know, she is a prodege, and she is the last of the Shadow nin... Her team is notorious through out the villages, they say that she herself will be a Kage, of which nations no one knows, some believe she herself, will revive the Shadow Village..." Sasuke fell silent for a moment, not only to let the importance of Nozomi sink into Kanoa, but to supress the shudders from his instincts "Her last mission killed her two team mates... the same to that are so notorious in her team, and she herself barely made her return... and then there are her wounds. I suspect they are not the common injuries you would encounter on a mission, there is something much more to it... Do you understand now?"

Shikamaru sighed. "I really don't mind you going with Kiba... I was just wondering if you forgot..." He shifted again, obviously... nervous? Anxious? Even he didn't know. He just didn't like that she forgot he was also an option. And he knew about her and Kiba because, well, all the signs were there. He'd have to be in denial to not think anything was up between them. He tilted his head back, staring at the sky.

Kiba blinked. That was.. something. Woah. "Really?" Nozomi. He thought she was really strong. Everyone says your worst enemy is yourself, if you aren't careful... He guessed in this case it was true. But still. Nozomi... He got an unintentional look of worry in his eyes. He took a deep breth, and smiled at Chouji, "Let's order." He got himself a doughnut. Knowing fully well that he didn't say anything about what Chouji said.

Nozomi lowered her gaze, "I am sorry Shikamaru... I had forgotten. There is something you should know... I am with Kiba-kun," Her speech quickened, "But that doesn't mean we can't go to the festivel together! I am sure Kiba will let me go with you, or atleast I can spend half the festival with Kiba and the other with you if you would like." She looked at him apologetically, "I am so sorry I forgot Shika-kun, but please, would you come with me for the first half of the festival?"

Chouji however for once did not take the chance to have a treat, "There is something going on in the village Shika... it's only a short time till the truth truly shows." He looked at Kiba gravely, "Promise me you will help protect her Kiba..."

"The truth will reveal itself soon... I fear that something ill is occuring and Lady Tsunade is only now working towards confirming her suspcions," He looked down at Kanoa, "The reason I am telling you this Kanoa is because I have heard the Lady Tsunade mention your name once. It was an accident that I stumbled in on the Hokage during a meeting with Nozomi and her Team..."

Sasuke turned to Kanoa and grabbed her shoulders, "Kanoa, that is why I could not wait to tell you how I feel for you. I want to help protect you during the event of danger, I have cared for you too long to let anything happen to you if something is to arise of all this..."

((Sorry been busy lately... I had to go away for a month and where i was stayign was no internet... it was sooo gay. Oh well atleast school is almost back in and i'll be more active lol ))

Shikamaru shook his head, "I don't care, you can go with Kiba. I'll ask Temari or something, I think she'll be here..." He kind of mumbled, "I really don't want to get in between you and Kiba, I'm not sure how he'd like that plan." Shikamaru didn't know why he suddenly chose right now to be so generous. He would have jumped at the chance to go to even just half of the festival with her. He just wanted her to be happy...

Kiba looks down and nods quickly. He would do anything to protect Nozomi. He looked up at Chouji, "Do you have somewhere to be?" He wondered. Chouji didn't usually pass up the opportunity even to have a small snack.

Kanoa blinked. "But.. why would she stumble over my name? I'm not even that great of a ninja. Not nearly as great as Nozomi, anyway. " She mumbled. "And the last few missions I were on were petty little things." Then she heard what he said next. She didn't know what to say. She was happy. Very happy that he felt that way. But she didn't need to be protected. True, she was no Nozomi, and Sasuke would do a great job of protecting her, but she could still fight! She was strong! ... Right?

Nozomi stared at him, he didn't care? 'Fine then, He can go alone...' She then looked him hard in the eyes, "What ever, it's you choice Shikamaru..." Her heart was beating furiously, she turned and started back towards the shop.

"Nozomi is back, she'd have my hide if she caught me eating anything not on my diet list," Chouji looked up as his sister returned, "What was that about?"

"Shikamaru wanted to take me to the festival but... Kiba and I," she sat next to Kiba and held his hand, "Shikamaru is being a poor sport. He asked to take me to the festival and I forgot then Kiba asked me out this morning... "

"If something is going on, please promise me you'll be careful," Sasuke looked at her with a hard, steady gaze, "I will do everything within my power to protect you, I have seen much, even in my early training days when I was teamed with Naruto and Sakura. I have learned that anything is possible within the hidden villages..."

Shikamaru sighed to himself. Smart, Shika, piss off the girl you have a huge crush on. Smart...

Kiba laughs and nods, "That's Nozomi for you..." and grins at Chouji. Then he looks over at Nozomi, "Oh...." He mumbled to himself...

Nozomi turned and looked at Kiba, she smiled at him blushing, "I'm glad that it will be you taking me Kiba... I want you to know that."

Chouji nodded, "I had an idea he would. Frankly I don't care so long as he protects you..."

Nozomi smiled at Kiba then looked at her brother, "He has your approval then Brother?"

Chouji shrugged, "Not like I can argue much..."

Sasuke puts his arms around, he pulls her tight against him, resting his chin on her head. "Thank you Kanoa..."

Kiba smiled at her and hugged her lightly. He looks over at Chouji and jokes, "I think Nozomi is stronger than I am, so maybe she wouldn't need protection." He grinned.

Shikamaru walked out of the shop, looking down. Where's Temari...? Oh who really cares. He'd much rather take Nozomi. Maybe he'll stay home on the Festival day. Yea, that sounds like a plan.

Kanoa smiles and wrapped her arms around him, leaning her head on his chest. He was actually pretty comfortable, "Your welcome..."

Nozomi straightened as her eyes shot towards her brother, "Protection? Brother what have you said!?" Her eyes flashed with fury as she stood, her eyes digging into Chouji almost violently.

Chouji looked up into her eyes fearlessly, "I have only expressed my worry for you, I have only asked him to protect you if there is ever need. I have said nothing else..." He calmly looked at Kiba, his gaze blatantly say 'You must not tell her what I said.'

Nozomi scowled, "If you have brother, Iwill find out, and that day will not bode well for you, not only will I be infuriated but you will have disobeyed the Hokage. That will not be ignored..."

"If you were to have one wish Kanoa-kun, what would that wish be?" Sasuke looked down at her, his blank eyes peering down into hers as he held her close in his arms.

Kiba blinked. Why did this matter so much to Nozomi? Well, he knew why, but still. He carefully peeled her off of Chouji, grinning, "Don't kill your brother, okay?" He pulls her into a hug and grins to get her into a happy mood.

Kanoa thinks for a moment. She looks up into his eyes, "For your fangirls to disappear." She grins a little from the corner of her mouth at him, hugging him softly.

Nozomi felt herself relax as she pulled her firey gaze away from her brother. Her eyes turned to Kiba, softening as she blushed from his strong arms that were so delicately holding her but at the same time he as holding her firmly and she felt safe, "For you Kiba, he can be forgiven this once..."

Sasuke's eyebrows raised, "That is all? Well sadly that is one wish I might never be able to grant. I can't control the hearts of those fanatics but I can grant you that I will never turn from you for any of them." He gazed down at her, once again a softness flickering in his eyes behind his ice cold gaze.

Kiba grinned more at Nozomi, thinking she was really cute when she blushed. "Well, good. Chouji should watch his back from now on, though, because it's only this one time, right?" He playfully asks.

Kanoa smiles and blushes a little, seeing the slightly soft gaze in his eyes. She slowly wraps her arms around him and pulls him into a hug, burying her face in his neck. "You're so sweet..." She mumbled.
