In time, the world has come to a subtle stop. All productions have ceased, all life has stalled. Most of us have called it the False Age. But then we realized what really had happened. Day-by-day things repeated themselves, things that had occurred twice, three and four times before. And most of humanity stood by, stuck in this loop, unaware of it's origins.
And when it broke, when time began once again, the world as we all knew it had ended. Desert now consumed a large portion of the world, and the sea has become perilous, so-much-so that no man in their right mind would dare seek safety across it's waters. Because of this...humanity seeks safety, they seek a place of calm. But this cannot occur without pain, without trial; and so many have yet to be judged for their actions.
It is nearing the end of the year thirty-fifty-two, and construction on the Rebirth facility is nearing completion. However, as man digs deeper into the world, things begin to unearth that should never have been allowed to see the light of day.

----
Plot and World Overview: Earth has all but faded, what remains is scattered remnants of humanity. Rebirth, one of four underground facilities, has begun treatment from the inside out, slowly bringing the Earth back to it's natural state. However, in constructing Rebirth they have unleashed various beings that only existed in myth and nightmares. Though this has occurred, several of these creatures have aligned themselves alongside of the Humans, aiding them in their work and fighting along side them against the many different evils that now plague the world.
The idea as of how the world came to be like this is all but lost. There are speculations about None-nuclear warfare having broken out several hundred years ago, however even this is thought to be false.
The general plot of this story is simple. Survival.
Most of this story will be taking place in Rebirth F1 (Facility 1). With the chance that other Facilities may come into play. Along with the surface city High Gloom. A city run primarily by the unearthed evils.
All those joining will be entering during a period of war that has broken out between High Gloom and Rebirth F1. The side you choose will not determine what race you are, as each has secured followers from all races.
On a side-note, Vampires have always been in existence. However, they differ greatly from your typical 'movie' or 'fantasy' Vampires. I will explain this later on when I procure more information on each race.
Whats to be Expected: I want this Roleplay to be open to everyone. However, I want people to understand at the very beginning that I will have stipulations hooked into this. Rules will be set, so will some general guidelines that I would appreciate anyone joining to follow. I know this may sound harsh, but I've been trying to get this story off the ground for some time now, and I'm hoping bringing it here will do just that.
Basic guidelines are as followed:
*Try to post at least once a week. If you can't please let me know via PM and I will do what I can.
*Post length should be at least two paragraphs. Of course this cannot always occur and I understand that, so don't feel pressured to keep to this if you absolutely can't.
*Characters are not to be so overpowered that they're unkillable. Realize that this is a time of trouble and death, and that if you don't play smart your character can get killed.
*Just as a forewarning. There is no guns of any type in this world currently. The resources used to create such weapons have gone to better things (such as living underground). However, all Facilities and High Gloom are quite adept in the use of martial weaponry.
*Magick is in this world. But it isn't all powerful. In fact it is limited to a certain number of 'Magick' abilities each person possesses innately. This will be further explained in the character creation form.
*Keep to the posting order! I cannot stress this enough. I will have a posting order up the moment I post the very first Roleplay portion of this post. It will be updated as each person comes into play and it should be kept to unless instructed otherwise by me. If you don't know what this is please just PM me.
*Character creation should be as indepth as you think it should. If you have some secrets you don't want others to know about thats fine, but please remember that there are certain things (such as abilities) that must be stated. We can't have a character throwing fireballs around suddenly without some Out-of-Character knowledge that he could in the first place.
*Keeping In-Character and Out-of-Character information separate. I've had a ton of issues with this in the past. I want everyone to be able to post their character forms up here, but I don't want people thinking they know everything about another players character because of it. Please, keep them apart from one another!
*Lastly, have fun. I try my hardest to make a storyline that will be both entertaining and fun at the same time. I have worked for weeks on this storyline itself and will continue to work hard to bring as much Roleplay to anyone who joins as I can. This thing can go in so many different directions and I want to see if sore!

Playable Races:
There are several new races aside from Humans. And even Humans themselves have changed a little. Below here is a list of the more common races one would more than likely play as. If you feel that you have an idea for a race, please PM me with the idea and I will look it over. Just realize that all races list, and all that could be posisbly created, are restricted to the same amount of magick abilities as the others.
Human: Over the years Humans have become far more advanced. Living underground their skin as become lighter, and their hair far darker. As well as their eyes. They now also have an increased ability to see in the dark. Not to mention that their natural strength and speed has also increased due to need for survival. Somewhere along the line Humans also came into possession of Magick. However, their Magick tends to be far more on the passive side – working towards the better of human kind, instead of destroying it. Humans are quickly becoming known as the Druids of all the races.
Vampire: The ideal of a Vampire has been obscured to us throughout history. Vampires in our world have always existed, however, they are hardly what we have made them out to be. Vampires on Earth are people who have been infected with what has become known as the V-virus. This virus basically gives them the same attributes we'd normally associate with Vampires with...exceptions.
Vampires in this world do drink human blood. However, they ear normal food as well. They are also blessed with eternal youth. They are technicaly considered Immortal. However this is only because their ability to recover from injuries is far greater than a humans. But drive to far and they can very well die. Beyond the normal Magick abilities given to them innately by the fact that they are still akin to humans these Vampires have no paranormal abilities akin to mythical Vampires.
They of course have heighten sense, strength and endurance. They can also pass on Vampirism to others. However the survival rate for a victim is less than 1%. Neither male nor female Vampires can reproduce. They are also not warded off by crosses. They have reflections on reflective surfaces. They would die if stabbed in the heart with a wooden stake (anyone would). They aren't turned to ash by sunlight, but they can get sunburned. And it really depends on the individual if they hate garlic or not.
That should cover all basis of Vampires. Any questions, please PM me.
Demon: This encompasses a fairly large portion of individual races. Most races that had been unearthed by the construction of Rebirth are considered Demons, however, most of those that resemble Demonic creatures are no more than thralls to a higher power. Most of demonic blood are humanoid in shape, larger usually and hold a stench of sulfur that is well...commonly associated with demonic beings. Some Demons are good of course, while most do tend to lean towards the greater side of evil. This is mostly due to the fact that it was because of the Human race that they had been unable to walk the surface world freely. Beyond that bit of information alone very little is known as to how they had been locked away or why in the first place.
Arahhakssan: Known primarly as the 'Snake Blooded' Arahhakssans (Haks for short), are primarily of the good aligned races. Coming from what they called 'The Lakes of Divinity' the Haks are known more for their abilities as healers and scouts then anything. They look more human than snake, with the exception of their eyes and the hue of their skin (which is usually remarkably like snake skin). More-often-then-not a Hak will speak with a slight hiss. Female Haks are thought to be one of the most exotic people of all, and are often sought after by men.
Celestial: This too covers a great variety of people. Celestials where also discovered during the building of Rebirth F1, and have since been doing everything in their power to restore the natural balance of the world. Most every Celestial race is human in shape, however various Celestial people have some resemblance to eagles or lions. Sometimes both. Much like Demons often lean towards the more evil side of the spectrum, Celestials lean towards the more good side. However it is still not completely uncommon for a Celestial to align itself with High Gloom.
These are the primary races in this world. If you have any other questions, or suggestions for other races please let me know via PM.

Character Form:
Name: (I.E. Frank Illmass)
Race: (Available races are listed above the Character Creation)
Age: (This will obviously depend on your race)
Height: (As asked, how tall is he/she?)
Weight: (What’s the weight of your character? With armor? Without?)
Eye Color: (What color?)
Hair Color/Style: (Color/Style)
Description: (Ok – I’m going to be a little pick about this one. I would like at least two paragraphs on what your character looks like. Pictures are optional. The Paragraphs are not.)
Weapon Description: (If your character carries weapons, what style, does it/they have a name? Is there history behind the weapons?)
Magick Ability (Aggressive/Defensive):
Magick Ability (Defensive):
Magick Ability (Passive):
Background: (I would like to have some knowledge of your characters history. Even if he/she has no history, or if its dull and boring. Anything will do, as long as its something.)
General Information: (Things you feel should be noted about your character. Things that may stand out to others if they meet your character.)
Magick Abilities:
There are three types of Magick. Aggressive, Defensive and Passive. Each race can posses nor more than one Aggressive Magick, however they can choose to have two Defensive. And they must have one Passive. Below is listed what each should try and be.
Aggressive: An ability that does harm, or could do harm is used properly. I.E. A Fireball, or a bolt of electricity. However this ability cannot be something like a nuclear explosive fireball...or...bolt of electricity.
Defensive: This covers anywhere from teleporting to shielding yourself from an oncoming fireball. You need to be specific when it comes to this abilty, describe it well!
Passive: This is an ability that neither harms or protects. This ability is something like being able to heal wounds, or form a ball of light to see. Most humans passive ability is the ability to grow plant life. Be specific on this one as well.
One Final Note: For those willing to join I appreciate all the time and work you'll be putting into creating your character. With that said I also look forward to playing with each and every one of you. There is, as of right now, no limit as to how many may join. I may put one on if there are too many people and it's beginning to become difficult to move on with the story because of it. But I have faith that things will run smoothly!
Thank you!

Tech Level:
Most of the technology has been destroyed to a degree. Basicly, what we have now in our time is what they'd have then. This is due to the fact that well, during the 'False Age' all advancement stopped (Basicly the Dark Ages over again). However, there is little to no production of guns of any type. Over the period of time where Rebirth was being created the creation of 'armor' and martial weapons has come into play. Making things a little more personal when combat comes around.
The only technological advance there really was is that Humanity has managed to construct a place within the Earth, power it and even manage to mock certain climents in order to grow needed foods. Of course it also helps that most Humans posses the ability to grow things in the first place.
Most Technology that would go towards harmful things (such as guns and other war like stuff) is being used for better living conditions. Even in High Gloom.
-Thank SweetMiracle for pointing this bit out to me. I completely gapped that this is probably an important bit to the story!

((Hope this is alright!))
Name: Aislynn Quinn
Race: Human
Age:21
Height:5'2"
Weight: 115 with out any type of armor, 120 with armor.
Eye Color: Aislynn's eye color is a warm chocolate brown color.
Hair Color/Style: Very dark brown almost black that almost reaches her elbows. Her bangs are cut at on angle and fall over her left eye slightly.
Description: Aislynn's eyes are by far her best feature. They are a chocolate brown color that always seems to hold warmth with in there depths. Her left eye is most of the time obscured by her bangs, which she constantly blows to the side. The rest of her hair falls straight down to just above her elbow. It is a dark brown color that is often mistaken for black in the dark. Aislynn's lips are very full and plump. Aislynn hates them and often says she has "Fat lips". She has a clear milky white completion that is only flawed by a single scar that runs diagonal across her face. It goes from the bottom left of her cheek to the top of the right side of her forehead.
Aislynn is a short girl as mentioned before she only stands at 5'2", which causes people to think she is younger than she really is. It is also a slight advantage in battle because her enemy always seems to underestimate her ability's. Like any young lady Aislynn has certain curves that come with womanhood. Although there not over the top she still has enough to give her a nice hourglass shape. Aislynn is pretty fit for the most part. She isn't super skinny but not over weight either.
She is normally seen wearing a simple tank top or T-shirt with a simple pair of pants. On her feet she wears a ratty old pair of sneakers that used to be white. From age they have turned a grayish brown color. On the front line of battle she wears her armor. The armor she wears is made out of thin leather. It isn’t has protective as bronze or steel but it allows Aislynn to move more freely. This armor covers her torso and cuts off at the shoulders. Her legs are protected by the same leather and fitted skin tight, so she can move faster.
Weapon Description: Aislynn doesn’t really have a weapon. She mainly uses the hand-to-hand style of fighting. So her weapons would be her hands, arms, feet, and legs. To protect her hands in a fight she wears padded fingerless gloves.
Magick Ability (Aggressive/Defensive): none
Magick Ability (Defensive): none
Magick Ability (Passive): Aislynn has the ability to form a small light ball that can float around her. However this ability has its limits. It only stays around for about ten minutes and can't go more than five feet away from Aislynn.
Background: Aislynn lived a pretty normal childhood considering the conditions she was born into. She is the only child of Jason and Holly Quinn who are still active participants in the war against High Gloom. Holly, who possesses the power to heal, helps with the war effort by healing the wounded that come back from battle. Jason although not physically fit has a very strong mind, he deals with the strategic side of the battle. Aislynn grew up knowing about most of the things that went on in the war. This influenced her heavily in her decision of joining the fight or not. She had her teen years to really think everything through. She struggled multiple times with what she should do with her future. At age fourteen she realized she wanted to help with the war. She was just planning on helping out her mother in the hospital but her mind was changed when she saw the hand-to-hand fighting style. She was intrigued by the idea that the human body was the only weapon some one would ever need. That with enough discipline and training your body could injure and kill just as easily as any other weapon. So after a few months of thinking every thing through Aislynn decided to fight in the war using hand to hand combat. She trained almost night and day trying to become as strong and skilled as she possibly could. By the time her eighteenth birthday rolled around Aislynn was a fairly decent fighter. She joined the fighting ranks only four days after she became an adult and as been with them ever since. She never regrets her decision and is proud to defend her home.
General Information: Aislynn is an optimist; she tries to see the silver lining to every storm cloud. She also doesn’t see how being depressed and whiny about a situation will make it better. So she always tries to keep an up beat can do attitude in any circumstance. Aislynn is fiercely loyal and will never even dream about betraying a friend or family member. The one flaw in Aislynn’s personality is her ability to trust. No it’s not that she doesn’t trust easily, it’s that she trust to easily. This often leads to Aislynn getting hurt and stepped on. She never seems to learn from that mistake because she always likes to believe that every one is good inside.
A little interesting fact about Aislynn is, aside from using her hands to fight, she also likes to use them to fix things. She is fascinated by how technology works and one of her major hobbies is finding out how things tick. So when every any of her friends as a broken item she is almost immediately called to repair it.

Name: Seryn Delour
Race: Vampire
Age: looks about 20 in age (although older, obviously)
Height: 6’3
Weight: 153 without| n/a
Eye Color: hazel, leaning on the blue/green side
Hair Color/Style: Deep brown, commonly pointed out as black. His hair is generally shaggy or messy with a slight wave, and is cut to the jaw bone. It frames his face, and his fringe sweep to the left side for the most part, but it normally depends on how it happens to fall.
Description:
If one were to describe then features of Seryn Delour the word would already pierce the mind. Ghastly. Skin, smooth as silk, near translucent, and an impeccably even gown upon his body, looked as though the sheet of a ghost illuminated by moonlight. The sharp angles of his face, high cheekbones become even more acerbated by the hair that frames it, magnifying the narrow, slightly pointed nose that hovers just a touch over his thin lips and the pointed chin that rests even below the two. On either side of said nostrils are his eyes, such haunting, eerie eyes. Bordered by lengthy lashes, the blue-gold pools that hide beneath them seem to echo the many eyes of the dead that he has seen, peering in the reflection of his own.
A pedestal for his head stands his body, which is fitting to his face. A lanky character of 6’3, his limbs seem to stretch endlessly, holding beneath they’re skin lean muscles that are the power house for Seryn, who is a very swift character indeed. He tends to slouch at times, which in dark tends to bring out the animalistic features that swarm somewhere beneath the cool demeanor of his countenance, partly feline. Also of feline characteristics are his hands, polished and manicured, they are spindly, thin instruments, excellent for a hard grip, even more so excellent for slashing as sharpened nails don the ends of each finger. One, however, is missing. The left ring finger is absent, a space left as a memoir.
Seryn is never seen wearing the same thing; he is a scavenger for clothing, for he goes through them quickly as he explores the new reaches of his Magick (and because of the other errands he runs, which he keeps secret to most). For the most part, he is found in a t-shirt and tighter-fitting pants, if he can find them, for increased lithe and agility. Beneath his legs, his feet remain bare for he finds shoes to suffocate his feet. He does indeed enjoy making fun of shoe-wearing people for he finds them a nuisance.
Seryn does not use armor. He does not enjoy battle. He finds himself to be more helpful on the tactics and stealth part of war, his flexible body is good use for sneaking. If he felt like having a title, he would be, indeed, a Sneaker. Not like the shoe, like the sneaking. That’s right.
Weapon Description: From just about every place imaginably, Seryn steals a knife of any sort to the point where there is a small collection in his dwelling space. They have no names, though generally he tends to call them his friends. He probably has most ever kind of knife you could think, daggers, switchblades, etc. And he loves them.
Magick Ability (Aggressive/Defensive): At the moment, he has discovered the ability to form flame in his hands, which he uses to ward of hand-to-hand combat by lighting his hands and blocking with the fire. He is still exploring new uses.
Magick Ability (Defensive): n/a
Magick Ability (Passive): n/a
Background:
Seryn’s past has been often clouded by many different stories from many different a mouth. He did have a reputation once, although come the False Age it was reborn in synch with the Rebirth project. He aims as most of his…kind do to redeem his grasp on the attentions of the masses, although since the death of his reign, it has been a slow race from him. He does, however, have confidence that with his new ideas he will have some wrapped around his fingers, but not his missing one, of course.
Seryn does not speak of the one who turned him into the ghost of a human he is presently. It is not that he is haunted or upset, as one would expect, but that he finds it unimportant. Such things are petty to one who has so much more on his mind than the past. He is grateful though, for without that certain day he would not have succeeded so much as he did.
This man at the decision to join forces did indeed choose High Gloom. Its intense ideas captivated the mind of his when he first heard of them, and he found himself intertwined in a network of war and the such. Seryn found his place behind the scenes, not on the frontline, and to this day has been performing outstandingly, which will help him later….
General Information: Seryn is a slightly quirky fellow, whom enjoys tantalizing people and picking slightly at their flaws, all in good fun. He has a rather laid-back nature, which allows him to perform strikingly in battle (which he hardly ever finds himself in) and also allows him to set off those of the more hot-headed degree. Anger doesn’t not tend to stricken him, although when it does, it’s best to leave him be for a couple hours…or days depending on how much you value your fingers : ) . Seryn enjoys people, finding them very interesting. He loves analyzing they’re own personalities, the way their minds work, their weaknesses, strengths, dissecting them. It has become more of a hobby to him. He’s not exactly one for personal space, and does sometimes get clingy but more to bother someone then to show affection. He’s an overall intelligent being, he wants to challenge you to find his flaws.

Height: 5’4”
Weight: 120
Eye Color: Light blue, almost white
Hair Color/Style: Deep black cut short in the back the bang in front are long hangs over her eyes.
Description: Senka is short and dresses in almost all black. She has a few things on her that makes her stand out like her bright yellow belt and neon green bracelets. All of it still plays off her extremely dark hair and almost albino skin, her bright piercing light bluish white eyes and her height she is about average height and doesn’t mind it. She has a soft heart shaped face and once in awhile a beautiful smile.
Weapon Description: she has no weapons
Magick Ability (Aggressive/Defensive): none.
Magick Ability (Defensive): none.
Magick Ability (Passive): She can heal the wounded simple by concentrating on the spot that is wounded. She has been called many time in to hospitals and asked to assist when some battles were going bad. Her abilities are limited though her healing power have made her weak at time and has also caused her to lose conciseness for a week. Other than that she can call little balls of light to her so she can see in the dark. The light balls always are a pale blue and shine bright, but only for an hour or so than they fade away.
Background: Senka parent both fought in the war, her father was a brave man with little abilities and her mother was prideful and bold to say the least. The day she was born her father had died in the war and her mother died shortly after childbirth. Senka never knew the warmth of a true family or even what emotion was till she was seven. The day she found out her name and who her parents were. From that day on she remained cold hearted and shows no emotion toward anyone. She works to earn a little to keep her alive but cares little about others.
General Information: She comes off as cold at first but she dose have a warm caring side once you get to know her. She will often times call her self a ‘murderer’ and say noting else. Keep in mind she has no family or even a friend so she doses not really know how to act around people.

Name: Theer'sirruss Vissnune (Goes by Russ).
Race: Arahhakssan.
Age: Early thirties.
Height: 5'8”
Weight: 123lbs. Without Armor, 133lbs With.
Eye Color: Sleek Gray.
Hair Color/Style: Bald.
Description: Smooth, glossy skin shimmers in the light, holding a tinge of blue along with a faint, almost unnoticeable pattern to it. Theer'sirruss's eyes gleam a sleek gray, narrowed exactly as they should be, like a snakes. She is tall and slender, holding true to her races disposition of how a Scout is supposed to appear.
Layers of tattered brow scarfs fold heavily over her shoulders, covering her neck and mouth; at times even her nose. These scarfs tumble loosely over leather armor, concealing it from view for the most part. At times Theer'sirruss will pull up one of these scarfs to wrap her head like a hood.
For the most part the remainder of her clothing is simple, dark hues of natural colors, most of which are brown. Several belts loop her hips, but only a single one tightens the loose pants to her body. Thick, soft padded boots sheath quick stepping feet, and gauntleted hands are seen from time-to-time as she moves them from outside the concealment of those falling scarfs.
Weapon Description: Theer'sirruss carries small array of weapons. The most notable of which is her longsword. This weapon shows a great deal of use, and appears to hold a tinge of rust to it. However, to those who have witnessed her use it, it appears just as sharp as any new blade could possibly be, and just as durable. It is rumored that Theer'sirruss at times refers to this blade as 'Gnasher'.
Magick Ability (1): (Defensive) Theer'sirruss has the ability to conjure a small shield of protection. However this power is limited to only being effective when used on another person. The shield acts as a bubble of protection, able to move with the target. It can only withstand a certain amount of damage before shattering, and Theer'sirruss can only perform this ability a small number of times before becoming completely drained. And each use is a lesser, not as effective shield.
Magick Ability (2): (Defensive) Theer'sirruss has learned what can only be described as a flash bomb. This ability allows her to create a small crystal orb, which she can then throw in any chosen direction. Moments later it will explode into a wash of light, doing no real harm except for blinding whomever (including her) might have not turned away or closed their eyes in time.
Magick Ability (3): (Passive) The ability to heal is the most common amongst her people. And Theer'sirruss has such an ability. This ability allows her to heal the injured around her. However, she takes 5% of the damage onto herself in doing so. It also drains her endurance, and to much will force her into unconsciousness.
Background: Theer'sirruss has been apart of the war from the beginning. She has made something of a name for herself when it comes to scouting. However, recently she has lost the company she had been assigned to, and has now taken to doing things solo. Though it appears that in doing so she has landed herself in several bad situations, just barely managing to get herself out of them; and at times forcing others to come and help her.
As of right now she has taken to meeting those she can, and aiding all that need help. This is another reason she has become somewhat well known within Rebirth.
General Information: Theer'sirruss isn't really all that complicated. Like many of her kind she holds and air of dominance that comes with a history of glory. She prides herself in the ability to look ahead and be prepared; and save lives in doing so. Beyond this there is nothing too outlandish about her, and when it comes down to it she really is just a simple, kind hearted woman.

Theer'sirruss grunted as she threw her back against the crumbled, ancient wall, the wash of warmth that followed sign enough that she had just managed to move out of the way from the coming fire. Her sleek gray eyes shifted around, narrowing as the sounds of battle echoed around her.
The gull of High Gloom to make for a direct assault on Rebirth was overwhelming to Theer'sirruss, and she couldn't keep up with the number of High Gloom attackers that seemed to be appearing out of nowhere.
On the surface above Rebirth there was nothing but rubble and remnants of a once grand city, a city thats name had long ago been forgotten. But now, those who trekked through these ruins now referred to it as the Proving Grounds. This was for the most part because it was nearly impossible for an attacking force to make any real footing. Of course, there was a first for all things, and Theer'sirruss was now witnessing as those who fell under the banner of High Gloom made their advance onto the facility of Rebirth.
Theer'sirruss clutched her hand tightly, the feel of something solid taking form forcing it open as she glances quickly over the clear crystal sphere, a moment later tossing it over the crumbled wall. A second or so after that there was a flicker of light, then an explosion of white.
Theer'sirruss made for the central area of the Proving Grounds, hoping that the deeper she drew the attackers the more likely that those allied with Rebirth would have a chance at getting rid of them before they actually reached the Entrance Dome.
The Hak jerked right as a bolt of lighting sored by her; her eyes going wide as her feet tangled up and she tumbled to the ground, grunting as she threw herself into a roll.
She came up in a run, glancing side-long to see that another had joined her, a male.
Theer'sirruss didn't put much thought into the man as she continued running alongside him, doing everything in her power to keep a respectable distance between herself and the trailing attackers.

From atop his perch he could see in the stretch in front of him a maginificent display of fireworks, or so, the sizzling crackle-pop of Magick that hummed like a pulsating beast in the thin, dust-ridden air that surrounded him. Seryn's eyes followed, hawk-like, as three of the High Gloom moved like sentinel beings towards those of Rebirth-I, all weapons drawn alike, whether flame or sword, to destroy their enemy. He could only but allow a thin-lipped smirk the disease his face, for in a time as this such a thing would be frowned upon. How ironic, frowning. it seemed to him that everyone was doing said deed all the time now. He, on the other hand, felt light as a feather, and lept from his nest of decayed rock in the same fashion.
His feet contacted ground with hardly a noise, and with a swift kick of one sole, dust surrounded him and he felt confident to move forward, if only a couple yards. Seryn felt closer inspection of this ongoing battle would be a swell idea for him, and he approached quickly, a limber spring in each stride. With hardly a twinge of the eye, he found himself blending in confluency with the other Rebirth-I as he did quite normally. He found it strikingly odd how they did not appear to notice his frequent visits, although he did keep to the shadows at the most part.
It was his objective now, as order by the hierarchies of people above him, to slip in secrecy and wait for what was to come next for him. This of course was what he was used to, waiting. He had hwhat seemed to be the most time in the world, and he didn't mind waisting some. But not all, he had work to do later. 'To the entrance', he found his mind pondering, 'Many times I've been there' He allowed his shoeless feet to lead him to his destination, and he did not realize that they were pounding forward at an alarming rate. As Seryn looked to his sides, it struck him. People, High Gloom people, that had once again mistaken him. Making up his mind, his body took a detour, and he disappeared away from them, knowing that they're faces were bound to hold confusion when they noticed that they're 'prey' had vanished, and trekked again.
His new company was a woman of exotic nature, a Hak he assumed, as he had never had the fortune to meet a human of such characteristics. However, the other thoughts that had erupted in his mind caused him only to glance in her direction before proceeding onward. It was a necessity not to be distracted. Seryn had continually convinced himself of this with repitition, although he tended to side-track anyways. Then he saw it, what he craved, his destination, broad with open-arms awaiting him without consent, like a human wound inviting a bacterium to raid it's body. He had already decided one thing. He was antigen.

The sword arched down towards its intended target but instead of hitting flesh it simply struck rock and soil. The human who had darted to the left side when she saw her opponents move, was now crouching low to the ground peering up at the demon before her. Seeing the demons weapon in a lowered position she darted forward at her know unprotected enemy.
Aislynn's quick move managed to take the demon by surprise and it stumbled back a few steps in an attempt to put a distance between them. Bringing a fist back Aislynn kept her brown eyes on the underside of the demons chin, that was now fully exposed. Swinging her fist forward tightly she hit her intended spot which caused the demons head to snap backward in a jerking manner. Before the demon recovered himself Aislynns right leg swung out in a graceful arch towards the underside of her enemies ribcage. Hearing a satisfying crack as her second attack also managed to deal damage, Aislynn then jumped back to recover herself.
She had already faced three opponents so far in the battle and her strength was starting to wain. She didn't want to over do it with this demon because she was trying to save energy for the rest of the battle. Panting heavily and sweating profusely, Aislynn waited for the demon's next move. She didn't dare wipe away the sweat from her forehead, that was now annoyingly dripping down her face, in fear of giving the demon an opening in her defenses. Instead she stood guarded as she eyed the demon while it attempted to recover its self and still kept aware of her surroundings just in case High Gloom decided to play dirty.

Not moving away from the small ally way Senka propped her feet up agents the wall and leaned agents the hospital wall. This entire time people were yelling a screaming as she slowly let her mind wonder. Suddenly she was snapped out of her own world and brought back to reality as one of the people from the hospital shook her back to conciseness. Sighing heavily she got up and walked with them back inside, hoping for some reason to just pass out and stay asleep for a while, but no she had to work.
Senka was sent in to deal with a not so happy person from the battlefield. He was yelling at her and cussing. Simple put she smacked him and it shut him up as she proceeded to heal him. She dared not to speak as she healed him seeing as he looked at her with bitter anger.

Theer'sirruss cut right suddenly, closing in the space between her and Seryn within just a few passing moments. Now the Entrance Dome was in sight to her as well, and her heart raced as she dared a glance behind here.
The High Gloom that had been following her had suddenly become tied up, that pleased her more than just a little, and as Seryn and her came to the slowly opening doors she slowed to a jog.
A small group of men and women exited through those doors, passing the pair without so much as a question as to the current situation. Theer'sirruss was relieved, and as the soft light of the Entrance Dome washed over her glossy skin she found a moment to study Seryn.
A sleek brow arched as she knelt over some, hands cupping knees and eyes closing.
“Quite a run,” she mused, flashing a smile towards the stranger as the grating sound of gears alerted her to the lift that was slowly approaching surface level.
<><><>
The Demon sneered as it's feet planted firmly to either side of it. It's arms seemed to bulge a moment as the sword was lifted high in preparation for yet another strike.
After having stabilized itself the Demon twisted it's upper torso, the sword swinging arm leading the way as he cut horizontaly, just below chest level for the human girl.
Dodge or not, Aislynn would notice the small advancement of High Gloom coming from the west, but along with this was a brief flicker of gray – a sight she perhaps was somewhat familiar with as a lithe figure settled into existence just above the west approaching group.
The mans hand raised, shifting from side-to-side in a small greeting towards Aislynn. Of course, this was despite the fact that her attention was no doubt occupied by the sword-wielding Demon before her.
<><><>
After firmly silencing the cursing man Senka was handed a damp rag.
“Seems to get worse by the minute,” she heard from behind, the male voice was soft and concerned.
Hector offered a faint smile from behind, though it seemed strained as he too seemed to be fighting to keep consciousness. After all, Senka wasn't the only Healer on duty during this battle. And Hector knew that sometimes a little small talk was a good way to pass the time and keep those that were healing awake and active.

The excitement of the run soon edged away as he felt his body come to a halt. What had happened the past two minutes he had dashed in time with the Hak that now studied--he could feel her eyes upon him-- him? His brow furrowed slightly, and though his mind filed through the crypts of dodgy memories of the past few moments, he could not recall them. Then he was jolted from his own mind and back to the warmth that now surrounded him, although in the depths of his chest it was piercingly cold for he knew that he was now behind enemy lines, his life dangling like a piece of meat on a string for a monster that had quite breakable chains if it did realize the opportunity to snap at it.
With his eyes now unclouded he gazed definately at his new "companion", absorbing her features in case he needed to recall them later. "Quite." he replied hazily, his eyes snapping away to gaze forward. He stood upright, feeling no fatigue from his sprint as she appeared to be. It ached him to see this, know that there was one standing so vulnerable and yet he was not allowed to invite his friends for the party that could happen by his hands. He shook his head, well, in his mind for that, and found him looking at her again. "It's a mess, isn't it?" he spoke again, hearing his voice fill the own cavernous region of his head, echoing.

Aislynn's heels dug into the soil and she pushed off the ground, sending herself backwards. However she had been some what distracted by the growing numbers of High Gloom that was approaching from the west. This caused her reaction time to slow so even though she jumped away from the attack the end of the sword still managed to scrap against the thin leather that covered her torso.
Aislynn let out mumbled curses from under her breath as she felt the rip in her armor. The only thing that lay under the leather was a cotton t-shirt which would provide Aislynn no protection at all. Not wanting to get hit again by the demons sword Aislynn jumped several more time until there was about twenty feet in between her and her attacker.
Her eyes, against her better judgment, flickered back towards the west to asses the approaching enemy. This isn't good, we need more reinforcements! She thought angrily. A flicker of gray then caught her attention and her gaze traveled to the right a little. Squinting her eyes a little she realized whoever it was was waving at her. "Who the hell?...." She mumbled under her breath as she tried to make out who it was.
This all happened with in the course of about ten seconds and then Aislynn snapped back to the demon before her. Her mind however was still on the person west of her, along with the approaching High Gloom forces.

Senka gentle took the damp rag from him saying “yeah…. But what can we do. Were just healers.”
She kept the same look on her face, devoid of any emotion what so ever. But inside she was torn up wanting nothing more that all the fighting to end. She let out a small sigh and looked over at Hector. She flashed a brief smiled at him than went back to her healing. She hope he didn't see her smile it would have ruind her reputation.
Senka wached as the man she was healing stared up at the ceiling , showing fear. She scoffed at this. Useless emotions, who would ever need them. She was almost done with the man she was healing when an emerginsy came into the hospital. Another man was wounded and bleeding from every limb of his body badly.

Theer'sirruss glanced towards him as he spoke, her brow dipping some. After a few moments she nodded, issuing a light sigh as she doors to the Entrance Dome closed, the lift finally arriving at the top. Moving to open the door to the lift she paused, waiting for Seryn to enter first.
“It is,” she agreed softly, her words tired as she moved to enter the lift after him.
She place herself to the left of the lift, her foot kicking up against the wall as she crossed her arms lightly below her chest. Her sleek gray eyes studied Seyrn for a few moments, trying to place a name to the face, however, after only a few moments she realized she didn't know him. A tinge of worry coursed through her, but faded away as she sighed.
“It'll end here soon,” she remarked, shifting her eyes upward some as the lift began to descend down towards the facility.

Arrows sored overhead, and the gray figure vanished from few briefly. Aislynn's Demon hesitated as the group of High Gloom continued to advance from the west.
The West...they where retreating!
The Demon turned his attention back onto Aislynn, a low, primal growl escaped him as he raised his right hand, a faint violet glow shimmered into life as he began to focus on one of his innate ability.
Curses and shouts continued to grow louder from the West, arrows peppered the ground between Aislynn and the Demon. The Demon growled, but this time much louder, clenching his hand as he moved to turn, obviously seeking to join in the retreat.
Despite Aislynn's next actions the stranger in gray would be no where to be seen. However, there was little doubt that he was still close.

Hector sighed in agreement, his hand raising to touch Senka's shoulder, pausing for a moment. He sighed again and dropped his hand to his side.
“I'll take care of him,” Hector said, slipping off to tend to the bleeding man.
Things started to slow it seemed, fewer people where being filtered down to the Hospital wing of Rebirth-I, and word was beginning to reach them that High Gloom had started to retreat from their assault.

Seryn slipped into the lift just before Theer'sirruss, the tapping sound of his naked feet reverberating with the beat of his heart that fluttered in his head. It was, as he thought, the moment of truth. Once inside Rebirth-I, Seryn knew he'd be near-invisible, cloaked and incognito. The wait was what had struck his thoughts and pulse in a panic. Every second he realized, in awe for he hadn't thought of it earlier, was allowing the woman that had been waiting beside him to memorize his face. And good. Seryn shook the unease with a half-hearted laugh, but not aloud of course; What a bad impression it would be if the lady thought him crazed?
He found himself situated caddycorner from the Hak once inside the, as he had mentioned to a High Gloom quite some time ago, suffocating cage of an elevator. Claustrophobia struck him in intervals, but Seryn had as often denied this fact. How pitying, a fear as that. His eyes locked onto Russ again, and he was astonished to find her own slit-like pupils peering at him as if an ant beneath a magnifying glass. Hazel dropped back to the ground, piercing his feet with invisble daggers. Seryn could only imagine what that would really look of, blood spewing from the two holes on either top, puddling at his soles.
It was only when her voice carried to his side of the lift that the bloody daggers were ripped from his feet and hazel irises layed upon her face again. "I suppose it will, indeed." he answered casually, his words sticking miserably in the air in front of him as he squirmed at just how at ease that reply was. Heartless, at least, as he knew loved ones of these people were being slaughtered just above their heads. Slaughtered, what a god awful word, and yet just so perfectly charming.

Aislynn gritted her teeth as she assessed her situation. She hated not being able to finish a fight but she knew if she stayed any longer things would turn for the worst. High Gloom's army was fast approaching and she didn't want to be surrounded by enemy forces. Even now arrows and shouts reached her and the army was still a good bit away from her but gaining ground rather fast.
Aislynn finally decided to retreat from her position and head back towards the entrance to Rebirth-I after several minutes of thinking. Casting one last glance towards the west she then realized the figure from earlier was no longer there. Odd.... She thought as her eyebrows drew together in confusion. Aislynn then realized she had become to distracted, which was a huge mistake, when she felt the tip of an arrow pierced the skin of her right shoulder.
"Dammit!" She yelled out as she placed a hand on her wounded shoulder. I guess its better to leave the stupid thing in, at least tell I see a healer. She thought with a grimace. Her gaze then went back to the demon before her and she saw the glowing magic in his hand. "Well I'm sorry to cut our wonderful time short but I must be going!" She told him with a fake smile. She then backed up a view paces to put even more distance between them. Hesitantly turning around she ran for the cover of the ruins and back towards Rebirth-I.

Theer'sirruss arched a single brow towards Seryn, her lips pursing briefly as she complicated on how to act towards his statement. He seemed so calm as he spoke, and more than aware of the situation above them. Theer'sirrus shrugged it off, her eyes shifting downwards as she emitted a subtle sigh, arms tightening. It would be another four or five minutes before they reached the bottom and even then there was still a good walk till the real entrance of Rebirth-I.
After a few moments of long, thick silence, Theer'sirruss glanced back up at the other occupying the lift with her.
“I can't recall ever seeing you before,” she said, her words soft on the ears as she spoke thoughtfully. Theer'sirruss was careful to watch Seryn's expression as he spoke, her slitted eyes keen on catching anything out of place.
In the back of her mind Theer'sirruss felt a pang of guilt for being so wary about meeting a stranger. But these were troubled times, and Theer'sirruss had been apart of this war from the beginning. So learning to trust came hard to her.
<><><>
Aislynn's retreat was met with little resistance as the Demon retreated himself. And with her knowledge of the Proving Grounds she easily picked her way through the ancient city with ease.
The sound of retreat echoed past her, drifting away swiftly as the High Gloom forces fled. Soon enough Aislynn was greeted with the familiar faces of fellow combatants that aligned themselves with the Rebirth facility.
Amongst these forces was a gray clothed figure.
He was short in comparison to most, and his skin held a hue of silver to it. He was a Celestial by the looks of it, but even from this distance Aislynn could feel the strong positive aura that emitted from him.
His hand raised slowly, slim fingers curling in a manner of 'hello'.
<><><>
“Most of the forces have returned, you can go home now.”
It was Hector's voice that touched Senka's ears, his hands firm on her shoulders as he moved to help her to sit up.
“There are a few more wounded, but nothing serious,” he continued, stepping back to give her space to stand.
By now Senka would realize that she had been moved off into another room and placed onto one of the unoccupied medical beds.

Seryn could feel the dense, pressing, silent current of time slowing in the moments after his first stumble of the trip, the unease of Theer'sirruss adding an even more unbearable element to the quiet. His body shifted an inch to the right, and he found himself slouched over in the corner, a foot away from where he started. The control over his subconscious movements seemed even less graspable lately than they had when he first discovered he Magick he contained within his body, but now it seemed that the same nature of it, an unpredicatable leap of flame, was infecting his mind. The idea that he was slowly degrading into a loose cannon of energy made him irritable as it set his own persona out of wack, but he cautiously hid it from view.
It was just a minute later that he felt that same surge of anxiousness claw its way up his spine, and as Seryn was already familiar with this feeling, he knew what was awaiting him when he was to reveal his face from its partially hidden view; The Hak's eyes would be upon him. And indeed they were, that same calculated look, with just a sparkle of interest buried somewhere beneath the measuring stare.
As the words trailed from her mouth, Seryn's mind raced for a trite, convincing answer, but the choices were few and had added a metal taste to his tongue as they hovered there to respond. When he had decided, which seemed to last minutes when it was really a split second, he went to respond, deligently keeping his face as blank as he could as he knew that this woman was at the least bit some suspicious of him now. "I haven't been on the surface much," he replied, his smooth voice rolling off his tongue just right, "and keep on the move, for the most part." He gestured to the lack of armor upon his body, which was clothed in a loose, pockmarked grey shirt and tight-bearing black pants which had been rattered down in the knees to the point of holes. "I'm not one for battle."
He felt the pressure on his chest uplift, and the iron-like taste washed from his mouth. Seryn felt that this atleast may cloak him more than his previous statement. Hopefully.

Aislynn let out a sigh of relief when she was surrounded by the familiar faces of her fellow Rebirth-I members. As her eyes swept around the crowd her gaze was caught by a mass of gray. Quickly turning her head she focused on the figure to see it was a male Celestial her eyes narrowed just slightly.
She slowly started to walk over to the waving Celestial, intent on finding out why he thought it was necessary to distract her when she was in a fight. As she passed through the crowds the arrow sticking out of her shoulder hit another person, causing the arrow to move back and rip the wound open a little wider. Grimacing in pain a little Aislynn reached her left hand out and snapped the arrow in half. I really need to go see a healer. She thought as she observed the wound for a couple seconds, completely forgetting about the Celestial for the time being.

Theer'sirruss pale lips pursed for a moment of thought as she listened to Seryn speak, her eyes drifting away from him slowly. She gave way to silence, allowing the sound of the lift to absorb the space between them. Only a moment later the lift jerked, then slowly drifted to a steady stop.
The Hak moved to open the lift door for a second time, stepping out and shifting out of the way, continuing to hold the door open as she waited for Seryn to step out as well. Once he did she'd close the gate behind him, and steadily begin the mile trek towards the true entrance of Rebirth-I.
Assuming Seryn to keep pace with her she glanced side-long, her slitted eyes narrowing some as she turned her focus forward, her tongue rolling over her lips as she thought over his words. After collecting her thoughts she turned towards Seryn as they walked.
“You picked an interesting time to be on the surface,” she remarked, her tone flat, and strangely, suggesting some amount of trust that what Seryn had said was true. After a few more seconds Theer'sirruss continued to speak, “I guess being back inside of Rebirth must be welcoming.”
Those last few words of hers held a weight to them that suggested longing. However, if it was for Rebirth-I or for the surface it'd be hard to tell.
Theer'sirrus turned her eyes forward once more, her arms shifted accordingly with each light step she took. She could still taste the dust from the surface in her mouth, and she knew that no matter what she did there was no getting it out for at least a good week. By then she knew she'd already be back on the surface. She gave a mental sigh, and her eyes drifted upward for a moment as she allowed a moment of concern to settle in.
She could only hope that the forces of the facility had sent the enemies of High Gloom running.
<><><>
By the time Aislynn's focus returned forward she'd find that same, greeting smile that she saw upon arrival. But much closer. The Celestial stood before her, his hands still at his side, however his eyes shimmered with worry as he examined her wound.
“May I?” he inquired, chin tilting towards her wounded shoulder. Before she could even answer his hands were already lifting, a subtle glow of orange appearing around them.
In the few moments that followed it was apparent to Aislynn that this distracting Celestial possessed some amount of healing capabilities, although while not as effective as a trained medical wing healer, it would work just as well, given time. Once done, if allowed to heal in the first place, the Celestial would drop his hands to his hips, wincing slightly as his shoulder jerked.
A soft laugh escaped him.

Seryn was exalted to escape the firm, clenching grasps of the lift, which was now lingering just behind his periferals, not that he would want to see it again although the acute falling feeling struck his stomach as he knew he would in the near, or distant, future. His feet struck the surface below his unprotected soles in time with the Hak's, creating an odd, spasmodic melody which his heart urged to tick to. Each forward motion seemed to be a a finalizing count down to some waiting beast that hid camoflauged in the shadows that would engulf his body, mind, soul quickly if their pace continued as it was now.
The tapping of something upon his thigh awoke him, and as his eyes jumped to the source of the minute pressure upon his leg, he discovered his fingers jerking about and within a second he clenched his hand, halting it. From the center of his palm he could feel warmth lingering, and a pang of guilt glided from the top of his head down to his dirtied toes. He clenched his teeth from beneath his clasped lips, which was an accidental mistake for as soon as he had done so, he was addressed.
To reply, he looked over the first comment, seeing it risky to answer as another fatal comment as his first could be like throwing his own breathing body into a hungered lion pit. "You never really realize how hectic it is above until you're back under, yeah?" he spoke, his eyes searching for a spot, a weakness, like a crack in a stone for which water would sink in and break it in time. What did this woman hold dear? What could he find, how could he crush her, as he did so, so many others? He knew the answers would find him when they were ready, but when, when was the real, true question.
(OY! sorry for such a slow reply, I've been getting rather busy too xD; but hopefully this is legitimate!)

If you can though, please post. If not, well, just let us know that you are at least still interested and alive. ^.^))

Aislynn who had been gazing intently down at her wound as the strange Celestial healed her wound. She shivered lightly as the strange sensation of the healing magic moved through her wound. No matter how many times she was healed she never quite got used to the sensation.
After her wound was fully healed and only a small scare remained, Aislynn reached her hand over to run across the healed skin. Hearing the small laugh she glanced up at the guy. "Thank you." She said to him with a small nod. "If you don't mind me asking just who are you?" She questioned him after a few more seconds.
((Sorry its so short I've been sick all week and I'm still sick! :( ))

Senka kept her emotionless face as she walked with him. Looking at everting. She felt a sudden pain in her side, but did not say anyting. She did not want to worry Hector.
Once they were out in the street senka side was extreamly painful, still she said nothing. Only winced as she walked. She has almost forgoten how pain had felt.

((Hello everyone. Well, a recent development in my life has brought about a...severe change. To explain simply, I wont be able to further Roleplay here at Dollwizard. I hate this, really I do. But, to be honest my health comes first and I'm not exactly sure how long until I'll be able to sit down and reply as frequently as I have been. I'm horribly sorry for this inconvenience to everyone, I can't apologize enough for this. If anyone at all needs anything I believe my e-mail is in my profile. If not, my AIM is. I'll do everything in my power to get back. Again, I am SO sorry.))
