A boy who lives as rich as they come, his last name appears everywhere in the news because his parents are so famous. He loves his life and can get almost any girl he wants with the snap of his finger. Life is pretty sweet for him, but something deep down in him was missing. It wasn't that his parents were gone most of the time... it wasn't even that some people just pretend to be his friends to get stuff... he didn't know, but it was confusing him greatly. One day he starts to give to charity, and was walking around a part of town he's never been in...

A girl, she's dirt poor, living in a trailer home. She goes to public school and lives with her dad and mom, who make enough money to keep their home and keep them well fed. She is tougher physically and emotionally than most of her friends, and thinks almost all rich people are obnoxious and take things for granted. She has only had one boyfriend before, but other than that not much experience boys wise. She baby sits for people in the trailer park and earns money, which she gives to her parents to help keep them okay. She knows almost all of the town, except for the part with all the mansions and huge houses in them. So one day she decides to explore there and see how the other half lives...

Kayla pulls down her dress slightly. It's got to be a year old and is getting a bit short... She fidgeted as she walked along the sidewalk, tieing her waist-long hair into a ponytail using a bow. She looks around, starting to notice she's getting into the richer area of town by looking at the clothing stores...

Rhys walked out of a homeless shelter waving"Your welcome"

Kayla sits down on the sidewalk curb, pulling on her hat. God, there had to be about a hundred strip malls, and 86 more indoor malls. She leaned forward, putting her elbows on her knees and her face in her palms. "I decided to explore here so I would know the whole town... there's nothing but stores. Psh, what a waste of time..."

Rhys was walking not paying attenchen to where he was going and triped over Kayla

Kayla yelped, rubbing where he tripped over her and picking up her fallen hat, "Watch where you're going!" She growled at him.

Rhys got up"Sorry I will from now on"He said without looking at her

Kayla smoothed down her silver hair, putting her hat on and standing up. "What a waste..." She mutters again, walking towards home.

Rhys turned to her then started home himself but made sure he wouldnt trip again

Kayla looked back at him and rolled her eyes, muttering something along the lines of, "...damn wealthy people... think they're all that... I'm a person too..."

Rhys got home"I havent seen that girl around before"he said to himself for he can be slow sometimes

Kayla yawned and went to the park that was near her home. It was close to the place where she got ran over by that kid. She shook her head and walked up to her friends. They were mostly guys, since she was a tomboy. And, man, did she run fast around the bases even in a dress!

Rhys started to play chess on his compter

Kayla started palying a pick-up baseball game, and she was up to bat. She hit the ball far down the feild so the guys was to run to get it. She laughed and took her time, fast-walking around the bases.

Rhys got bored and went back outside looking for something to do

After a couple innings, Kayla said bye to her friends and walked back around the part of the cit y that she knew, walking by some sort of hospital, someone being rushing into the emergency room.

Rhys again not paying attanchen started to walk into the poor part of town

Kayla slowly walked toward her favorite restaurant, Joe's pizza place.

After a while Rhys looked around"Where am I?"he saw Joe's pizza place across the steet and thought'I must be in the poor part of town'

Kayla orded just a peice of pizza. She scarfed down the pepperoni, paying the money and walking out, looking both ways across the street.

Rhys was still looking around trying to remember how he got there so he can return to his part of town

Kayla saw that guy. And he was on the sidewalks she needed to get home. She sighed and walked toward him, pulling down her hat so he wouldn't recognize her.

"Ah can you help me?"Rhys asked looking at her

Kayla slowly turns to him, "Yes?"

"I have no clue how I got here I need to find my way back"Rhys said

"How the hell should I know, if you don't?" She turns to walks away.

"Because you were there earlyer"Rhys said

Kayla sighed, "I was just exploring. I'm sorry but I don't take time to go on those 'stars homes' tours. Now, if you don't mind, I'd like to get home. Since I know my way home."

"I'll pay you"Rhys said

Kayla looks over at him, "How much?"

"How about hundern?"Rhys said

Kayla sighs, "Fine, but you better not be messing with me."

"I have it right here"Rhys show it to her

Kayla's eyes widen. He carried around a hundred bucks in his pocket!? She sighs and walks back toward the rich part of town, stayign silent.

Kayla looks at him, "You don't come to this side of town much, do you, pretty boy?"

"Never have"Rhys said"Why you ask?"

Kayla rolls her eyes, "Just curious..."

"Ok"Rhys said"what about you was that your first time in the rich part of town?"

Kayla nods, "I don't like to go there much." She mumbles.

"It's a nice place though"Rhys said"If you what I can show you around sometime"

Kayla rolled her eyes, "Like I'd wanna see other people taking their lives for granted and blowing all the money they have." She sighed, "And you would probably be disgusted at my neighborhood, so we'll stay out of each other's lives, kay?"

Kayla raises an eyebrow, looking him up and down. "Ha! At the least half of your money goes into video games, clothes, and girlfriends."

Kayla rolls her eyes, "Whatever..." She walks into the rich community, "Here we are, now hand over the money."

Rhys handed her the money in twentys"There you go that way people know its real money without checking"

Kayla nodded, muttering out a "thanks." She turns the other way, taking ehr hat off and pulling her hair out of the ponytail as she walks away.

Kayla sighed, glad that was over with. She walks the almost mile back home, keeping the money secure in her pocket so she wouldn't lose it.

Kayla smiled and handed her mom 50$ and her dad 50$, looking proud. She told thr truth on how she got it, too.

Kayla stopped to yawn, stretching her arms out to the sky.

Kayla sighed and walked back over to the park with the small baseball diamond. She just watched this time, still kinda tired.

Rhys was marking down every where he went and stoped outside the school to rest alittle bit

Kayla stood back up, walking somewhere she didn't know.

Rhys started walking again still looking around and marking everything down

Kayla started winding around a huge neighborhood, looking at the houses on the way.
She came to a big house with a gate and an 'R' on it.

Rhys hurried home then saw the girl infront of the gate to his house so he walk next to her"what to come in?"

Kayla jumped and looked at him. "Uhm...sure? But first, what's your name again?"

"Rhys but the 'R' is for Rudisch"Rhys said

Kayla nods, "I'm Kayla..."

Rhys nodded as he pushed a botten and the gate opened"it's nice to get to know you kayla"

KAyla nods slowly, walking beyond the gates once they opened.

Rhys walked next to her"So why did you come here today?"

Kayla shrugs, "I was just exploring.

"Oh and you just happened to got to my home?"Rhys said opening the door

Kayla nodded, "It's like the biggest house of the street..." Seh mutters.

"A bit..." Kayla says, lieing. She was a LOT hungry.

Kayla laughs. She looks around.

Kayla smiles and waves, walking back out into the neighborhood as she walks home.

Kayla finally got home, going to her bedroom to do her homework she had from before.

Kayla grabbed a doughnut at Krispy Kreme on the way to teh library for breakfast.

Rhys went out and started to walk around

The library was located at the center of town, and a lot of people went there because it was big. She went in and went straight to the mystery and fantasy section.

Kayla scrolled through the books and picked out Interview with a Vampire and the second book in the Trace series.

Rhys looked around and grabed a book called the war with Cthulthu in the crat that said checked in

Kayla finished her doughnut and wipes her hands on her skirt, brushing it off after. She grabs her books and runs to the check-out place.

Rhys sat down and started to read

Kaylachecked out her books and looked for a bench to sit on.

Rhys being a fast reader was done with about two chapterssaved his spot and checked-out the book

Kayla was sitting on a busstop bench, slouching slightly over her book, she was reading Interview with a Vampire.

Rhys walked out and got a call on his cell after about three minutes he put it away and walked over to the busstop

Kayla was mesmerized by the book. The words were lengthy, and there was a lot of figurative speech, but it was captivating!

Rhsy sat down and started to read his book again

Kayla felt someone else's presense but ignored it.

Kayla finished the first segment of the book as the bus pulled up. She closed it with a small bookmark in it.

Rhys saved his spot and got on the bus and found a seat in the back

Kayla sat near the back, since most of the seats in the front and middle were taken.

Kayla put her book in a small backpack-ish thing she was carrying. She waits for her stop, it's a while before this bus gets there.

Rhys was waiting for his stop at his fathers work place the bank that he owned

Kayla finally got to her stop. It was a small complex-ish place with a bank, a post office, a grocery store, and a Target. She worked at the grocery store, so she got off.

Kayla saw that dude... Rhys? 'Of course... going to the bank... why am I suddenly seeing him everywhere!?' She walked into the publix, putting on her vest with her nametag and went to a cashregister.

Rhys steped infront of his father who was waiting for him outside

Kayla pulled hair hair back into a ponytail again and started working.

Rhys talked with his father for about five minutes then walked off and his father walked into the bank

Kayla worked for a couple hours on her job - it was boring.

Rhys found a place to sit and read

After around 2/3 hours, Kayla took her 30 min break.

Kayla walks out into teh complex, wondering if there was somewhere to eat nearby... She checked her pockets. She doubted 2 bus tokens and $8.43 would get her a good lunch. Maybe run back home?

Rhys put his book away and walked up to kayla"Hello again"

Kayla jumped, turning around, "Oh...hey... Rhys?"

"Yes are you hungry I was about to get something to eat"Rhys said

Kayla blinked, "Uhm, a little... But I don't have enough to pay you back if I get soemthing..."

"You dont have to pay me back"Rhys said"I like to help others"

"Really? Okay... " Kayla walks beside him, looking up at the sky.

"You may pick the place as well"Rhys said

Kayla shrugs, "I don't know many restaurants here..."

"Well you work here"Rhys said

" I work at a grocery store... that's it, I don't know much of this place."

"Er, pizza... salad?" She shrugs again.

"Well what about Lawmans you can get both"Rhys said

Rhys stoped in front of Lawmans and opened the door

Kayla slowly walks in, brushing her silver hairback and putting it up into a ponytail.

Kayla stood a bit close to Rhys, looking around.

Rhys sat down at the closes table

Kayla sat down on the other side of Ryhs, looking around.

A waiter walked up and put so manues on the table"Hello I'll be you waiter today"

Kayla smiels and picks up the menu.

Rhys picked up the other menu and started to looked at the food knowing what he whated to drick

Kayla just picked water. That's what she had most of the day a lot of the time anyway, except for milk and the occasional times that she hits the soda machine... Now, what to eat.

Rhys got water with a slish of lemon and was still looking

Kayla flipped through the menu, deciding on a plate of spaghetti and a side salad.

Rhys put down his menu"You ready to order?"He asked

Kayla nods, "Yea, what are you getting?"

"A 1/2 order of baked spaghetti"Rhys said

Kayla blinked, "... Me too... and a side salad..."

"You do know what bake spaghetti is right"Rhys asked

Kayla nods, "Yea. Of course."

"Ok"Rhys said then called the waiter over

Kayla smiles, waiting to say what she wanted.

The waiter got there"You ready to order?"

"Yes we will like a full order of baked spaghetti and two plates and a side saled for her"Rhys said

Kayla smiles, happy for Rhys at that moment. She wasn't very good with ordering food. A random thought crossed her mind, 'would this be considered...a date?' She asked herself in her mind.

The waiter wront it down nodded and walked to put it in

"are you think this as a date?"Rhys asked

Kayla blushed lightly and shook her head, "Of course not..." She sighed mentally, thinking she was being retarded for that thought crossing her mind...

"Then why are you blushing?"Rhys said with a smile

Kayla shakes her head, "I'm not blushing!" But that made her blush more.

"Ok then what do you call it?"Rhys said

The waiter bot the food"If you need anything else call"

"Ok"Rhys said

Kayla sighs and smiles, "Kay..." She thought for a moment befoer taking her food, 'Do I want it to be a date? All I know is that he probably doesn't...'

Rhys started to eat

Kayla took her food and started eating. She ate kind of quickly - it was really good food!

Kayla ate half of her spaghetti and started on her salad. '...I'm so confused! I think I like him, but I'm not sure!'

Rhys finshed his food"Is it good?Rhys asked

Kayla smiles and nods, "Very." And takes a sip of her water.

Rhys toke a sip of his water"and would you like a piece of cake or something?"

Kayla thinks for a moment, "O-Okay..."

Rhys called for the waiter

"Yes?"The wait er said when he got the

"Yes can we hav ethe dersert menu?"Rhys said

"I'll be right back"The waiter said then lift coming back with the menu then lift again

Kayla took the menu, and slowly looked through it.

"It's all made freash"Rhys said and all very good"

[teh-ch33to]

Kayla smiles, "I'm horrible at decisions, I'll just have what you're getting..."

"I'm not whating anything but you can try there white chaolate pie"Rhys said

Kayla looked at him, "I don't want to be eating when you're not... I mean I don't wanna bore you or anything. I probably have to get back to work anyway."

"It's ok"Rhys said

Kayla shook her head, "No, really, I'm full. Thank you very much though. Maybe some other time." She smiles, checking the clock to see how much time she has left before she has to go back to work.

"Ok"Rhys said then called for the check

Kayla smiles, having to go real soon. But she didn't want to be rude. Since he bought her lunch and all...

Rhys put the money"You can go if you need"Rhys said

Kayla shakes her head, "I don't wanna be rude..."

"Then I walk out with you"Rhys said geting up

Kayla smiles and also stands up.

Rhys walked to the door and opened it for her

Kayla smiels and walks out.

Rhys walke dout after her"I'll be here all day so there is a good chench we will see each other again"

Kayla smiles, "Cool... Well, I kinda gotta go now." She laughs nervously.

Kayla smiles and sprints off for the grocery store where she works.

Rhys walked to the bench he was before and started to read again

Kayla got there just in time, taking her place at one of the cash registers.

Rhys red to the last page in about a half hour

In another hour or so Kayla finally got off from work.

Rhys restarted to book because he liked it

Kayla yawns and stretched her arms out wide. She walks out of the grocery store, glad to FINALLY be free from her job!

Kayla saw Ryhs at the bus stop. She walked toward him, "Hey"

Kayla smiles, sitting next to him.

"You taking the bus home or you just sitting next to me?"Rhys asked

Kayla laughs, "Both I guess."

"Ok I'm just sitting here I have nothing bettle to do"Rhys said

Kayla smiles, "Okay...."

"So how long have you worked here for?"Rhys asked

Kayla shrugged, "Year or so?"

"oh well you must be a hard worker"Rhys said
