Plot:
Okay, so I was thinking about having, like, two human girls, and two vampire boys, and have them fall in love, but there is a rule where vampires and humans aren't allowed to fall in love. So they are all secretly together while trying to figure out a way around the rule. If you have any suggestions feel free to tell me, and I'll change the plot around.

Jenny quietly closed the door behind her. It was almost midnight, which ment it was time for her midnight walk. She sighed softly, and she walked down the street, and into the park nearby. It was late at night which ment the place was basically going to be empty. She sat down on a swing that was more towards the forest line, and sighed again.

Zane was out wandering the empty streets again. He liked to do this often, especially after it happened. He was out a few nights ago, like always, and he happened to see a girl and a dog walking. it was just after sundown, so the sky wasn't very dark yet, but he thought she was the most beautiful creature alive. Too bad he didn't have enough courage to tell her that at the moment.

Ian stared up at the moon, as he made his way back to his house. He had just finished his night - time 'meal',and he could feel blood trickle down his chin. He often hunted for his victims in the forest. Killing humans was too risky, especially in such a small town. He got his fill from the animals instead, things such as wolves, or stray dogs. Easy kill. He soon approached the park. He decided to walk through it, it was quicker this way, and there would be no humans to see the blood on his clothes or face. But then he spotted one. Sitting on a swing. He stopped walking. She was beautiful. Maybe she wouldn't be able to see the blood, since it was so dark. Calmly he began walking again, and he soon approached the swing. He held his breath.

Victoria quickly grabbed her house keys and snapped Flash's leash
in place. It was almost midnight, and that was when she had seen him, just a few nights ago. He was so handsome, she had to see him again. She rushed out the door, forgetting to lock it, and ran until she reached the block before she had seen him. "No more running, Flash!" Victoria said loudly. Flash whined. "I don't wanna hear it!" She retorted. Finally, they reached the spot. Sure enough, Victoria saw someone walking. I hope it's him! she thought excitedly.

Jenny looked up, surprised, as someone approached. 'It's midnight though! Who would be out here this late?!' she thought frantically, then sighed, 'me. That's who.' She looked more closely at the guy as he approached. He was so hot! But... He's covered in blood... Jenny's mind started to wheel. 'Is he a killer?! is he going to kill me?!' she thought wildly, because even though she wanted to get away from the hell called home, she didn't want to be killed. She sighed, and decided it was best to just calm down. She looked at him again, he was extremely hansome, so she came to the conclusion that someone as hansome as he was couldn't be a killer. 'He probably was helping someone who got in some sort of accident,' she thought, trying to make an axcuse for a guy she didn't even know, but wanted to know.

Zane saw someone walking in the distance. He kept walking, but his eyes were always glued to the figure, hoping it was her. He looked closer, but wait. There were two shadows, one was smaller, so.... It was her! He stopped walking, and stared in awe at the girl as she and her dog walked closer. His mind was spinning on wheather or not he should start talking to her, and if he did talk to her what would he say? 'Oh ma'am, you are the most beautiful woman I have ever set my eyes on, would you go out with me?' oh, that would probably just make him sound like a stalker of some sort. How about, 'I'm sorry if this sounds rude, or strange, but i saw you walking a few days ago, and I couldn't help but notice how beautiful you were. My name is Zane, and I would like to get to know that beautiful face of yours better, so will you go out with me?' That just sounds so... Wierd..

She noticed. Now what do I do?! Ian thought frantically. Maybe I should say something? Yes, I'll make something up. He came to a halt when he was close enough for her to hear. "I'm sorry if I scared you but," Ian began. "You see, I was ah, helping a person who was involved in a, uh, a car wreck! Yes, it was a terrible mess, blood everywhere! They had to be dragged out of the car, you see. I didn't want you to think I was a killer or a-" he suddenly quit talking, realized he had began to babble, and looked at the ground. "So ah...Why are you out here, anyway? Don't teenagers have school tomorrow?" he asked, trying to strike up a conversation.

Victoria's heart soared. It's him! It's him! Yay! She wished she could jump up and down like a child, but she was seventeen. Flash barked happily. He pulled at the leash, and Vicky (caught off guard) let it slip through her fingers. She tried to grab it back, but fell instead. "Ow!" she exclaimed. Her thoughts raced. Man! Why do I have to be such a klutz?! "Hey, you there!" she called to the man walking, struggling to get up. "Can you please catch my dog?!"

Jenny sighed in relief inside, 'I was right! He's pretty nice,' she thought. She smiled at the guy, "it's alright, you didn't scare me," she lied, though it was only half right. "I usually take walks out here around this time of night, I usually can't sleep, so it gives me something to do," she explained. "And yes I do have school tomorrow, but school sucks anyways, so I'll probably skip it," she sighed.

It took Zane a moment to realize that the girl was talking to him. "Oh," he said quietly, a little distracted by her. He chased after the dog, and soon caught hold of the leash. He pet the dog's head, and brought it back to the girl. He helped her up, "are you alright?" he asked her, handing her back the leash.

"True, I never liked school either. It was all too easy." Zane replied. He laughed nervously and scratched the back of his head. Humans never made him nervous, so why should she be any different? He felt something on his face. Oh no, the blood! he thought, trying to nonchalantly wipe it away. Maybe she wouldn't notice that, either.

"Yeah, I'm good. I guess I uh, wasn't paying much attention." she said, brushing the dirt off her jeans. "Hey, didn't I see you before? A few night ago?" she nights ago, pretending to look closer at him, like she didn't recognize him. She new full well she had seen him.

Jenny nodded, and looked over at the trees that were swaying with the wind not very far away. She noticed he was covered in blood, and usually she didn't mind a lot of blood, but aty this time of night, seeing guys covered in blood creeped her out just a little bit. She glanced back at him, she had to admit he was amazingly good looking, and she couldn't help but stare at him a few seconds more than she should have. She looked away, and hoped he didn't catch her staring at him.

Zane shrugged, and looked at her closer. "You do look familiar," he said, though he knew that he had deffinately seen her. He even watched her after she passed by him, just so he could look at her longer.

"Yeah..." Ian looked up to the sky, then looked at his watched. "Oh, I probably should be getting home now. Before this blood soaks in. Maybe I'll see you again soon?" he suggested.




Victoria grinned.. "Cool. I'm pretty sure we've met before." she said. "This may seem a bit sudden, but...Do you wanna go somewhere sometime? I'm free after school tomorrow." Flash pulled at his leash again. But Victoria paid attention this time. "Nice try," she whispered to Flash.

Jenny sighed, and nodded, "alright," she said, looking up at him. "The names Jenny by the way," she added in, just so he'd know. She pushed herself a little so that the swing stared actually swinging.

Zane felt his heart beat speed up for a second, and he smiled. "Alright, tomorrow at what time?" he asked her, petting her dog's head gently.

"Jenny? I like that name. I'm Ian O'Shea."
he replied. "Goodbye, Jenny, I hope to see again sometime."
He began to walk away. There was a strange feeling in his chest. A feeling he had only experienced in his early human years. A feeling that he was alive. I could definetly feel it. His heart was beating once more.

Jenny thought hard. "Um...how about...Eight o'clock...at Applebees'? You know, that restaurant on Lincoln Street?" she asked. It was close and not at all hard to find. "I eat there all the time, the food is amazing."

Jenny smiled, she had always liked the name Ian. "Goodbye Ian," she said quietly, swinging a little higher and higher as she went along, until the swing was squeaking, and the beam thumped as it got picked off the ground, and dropped. She tilted her head back, letting the wind rush through her short black hair, her headband flying off, and landing somewhere off in the distance.

Zane smiled and nodded. "Eight at Applebees it is then," he chuckled quietly. He probably wouldn't eat much because of his "diet", but at least he would be spending time with a girl that he really liked. Then a thought hit him. He didn't even know her name. He laughed at his stupidity, "I'm sorry, but what is your name? I'm Zane," he said, bowing to her, a formal habit that his mother got him to do.

Ian opened the door to his small brick house and flipped the light switch. He ran his eyes over the familiar rooms. Piano in the corner, a large TV and couch in the center. Desk. Computer. In the next room, a kitchen and a bathroom that hadn't been used since he moved in. The TV, phones, and computer were hardly used anymore. Sometimes he missed being human. But he put those thoughts away somehwere in the back of his mind and proceeded to change his clothes.

Victoria brought her hand to her forehead. "Ah! How rude of me! I'm Victoria!" she said happily. Flash barked. Victoria motioned to the dog. "And this is Flash. I'm sure you saw the reason for his name earlier." she laughed.

Jenny smiled, trying to go over the top of the bar, when she spotted someone walking towards her. She squinted to get a better look. "Ian? I thought you left?" she called out to the person, as he bent down, and picked up her headband. She slowed down, and jumped off the swing, walking over to the guy. She stopped, realizing the guy wasn't Ian. He looked up at her, and smiled wickedly. "Ummm..." Jenny managed to get out as she backed away from the guy. He kept walking towards her, and she took off screaming for the woods, him in persuit behind her.

Zane laughed, and pet Flash's head. "Victoria..." he mused, and smiled, "I like it," he said, smiling up at her. "It's a very beautiful name, and suits such a lovely lady as yourself perfectly." He stood up, but then his head started to hurt, and he realized he hadn't had blood in a while. He smiled polietly, trying to push his hunger aside.

Ian was about to pull on a clean shirt, when he heard something. It sounded a human's scream. Sounds familiar...he thought. Jenny! He suddenly realized. In just three seconds he was out the door, running, to the bench where they had met. When he got there, she was gone, but there was a strange man standing on the sidewalk. Ian walked up to the man. He put one hand around the man's neck and pushed him against the nearest tree. "What did you do to her?" Ian growled.


Victoria blushed. "Thank you," she said as she looked to the ground.
Zane was so polite, more so than any other boy she had ever had a crush on. And he was so handsome, ghostly pale, but handsome none the less. How come she hadn't seen him at school anyways? He looked so young, surely he attended. "Hey, do you go to school?" she asked.

The guy smiled at Ian, and showed him Jenny's headband. "She looked like such a sweet girl... I couldn't help but go after her... Too bad she got away... I think the woods are even more dangerous than me..." he smiled, and broke her headband in half.
Jenny stopped running realizing she was lost. She looked around, there were trees everywhere, no street lights in sight. She sighed, sitting on a boulder, wishing someone she knew would find her.

Zane shook his head, remembering that his human age was nineteen; The same age he was when he was turned. "I'm nineteen. I graduated high school in a few towns over," he said, knowing his story was believable.

Ian threw the man aside. "I'll deal with you later," Ian threatened. He sniffed the air. Each human their own unique scent. It was good thing he knew Jenny's, and in a few minutes' time, he had found her. "Jenny?" he called. "Jenny, it's Ian."

"Oh," Victoria said. She grinned and gave Zane a thumbs up. "Good for you, dude! I wish I was eighteen so I could graduate." She thought a minute. "You know, I'm super - glad I met you," she told him.

Jenny looked around in the darkness. "Ian?" she called. She couldn't see a thing around her. She stood up, and looked around more closely. "Ian? Where are you?" She took a step foreward, then another, and when she went to take another step, her clutzyness took control, and she tripped over a tree root. "Oww.." she muttered, sitting up, and rubbing her head.

Zane smiled, "me too. You're such a sweet girl, and Flash is pretty sweet too," he chuckled. He wished that he had met her earlier, when he was still human, but that was centuries ago, and she wasn't even alive yet.

"Jenny, I'm right here, see?" he took her hand and helped her up. "I was so worried, are you alright?" he asked. Then he remembered the strange man. But revenge would have to wait.

Victoria blushed again. "Thanks." Flash yawned and sat down to scratch his ear. His owner had never made him stay out this late before. Was he being punished? But, Victoria had other things on her mind. "So, you remember where we're going tomorrow, right?" she asked Zane. She didn't want him to forget.

Jenny smiled a little, "thanks..." she muttered. She looked around cautiously. "Did you see a creepy guy anywhere around here? He was following me, so I kind of ran, hoping he wouldn't find me," she sighed, "the things I get myself into...."

Zane smiled, "I couldn't forget. Applebees at eight pm. I promise I wont be late," he chuckled, "I would never keep such a lovely lady waiting all alone in such a scary place like Applebees," he laughed.

"Don't worry," Ian said confidently. "If he tries that again, I know just how to handle it." He looked at her. "Maybe you should be getting home now?" he suggested.

Victoria giggled. "Oh, don't worry about me," she told him. "I always carry mace with me, and I know some of the waiters there." she grinned. Things were going so well.

Jenny laughed quietly. "I would already be on my wayhome by now, but I'm kind of lost," she chuckled softly. "Do you know the way back to the park? 'Cause I can get home if I can get there first," she , trying to look around in the dark.

Zane smiled, "alright then," he said. He looked up at the moon. Surprisingly, time had gone by very fast, and it was about one fifteen in the morning. He smiled at her, "I should be going though, I have something else I need to do before I go home." He bowed to her, and took her hand in his. "Until tonight," he said, kissing her hand softly, and turning to leave.

"Sure," Ian smiled. "This way." They were about halfway there when Ian realized he didn't have his shirt on. He crossed his arms. As soon as they reached the the sidewalk, he looked around warily for the man he had encountered earlier.


Victoria wacthed Zane began to walk away, trying to decide what to do. "Wait!" she called, running up to him. She looked at him for moment, before finally deciding what she would do. She reached out her arms and gave him a quick hug before running off in the other direction. She sang 'I Feel Pretty' loudly on her way home.

Jenny looked at Ian, just realizing he didn't have a shirt on. Her eyes widened, and she blushed bright red. 'Oh God! He's so hot!' She thought, looking away. "W-Well... I-I-I s-should g-g-get g-go-going!" She said, taking off running, before she did anything that she was going to regret.

Zane couldn't help but smile brightly as he walked along, his fangs showing. He quickly went down an alleyway for some dinner. "Some squirrel sounds good tonight," he said to himself, looking for those squirrels that ran around inbetween allyways.

"Alright then," Ian said to himself, making his home as well. Maybe they would meet again soon. He hoped so. Once he got home, he immediately put on a clean shirt, then looked around the living room, trying to think of something to do. He sighed and sat down on the couch. Another long and boring night.


"Who's that girl in the mirror there? What mirror, where?!" Victoria sang as she threw open the door to her apartment. She didn't care if she woke up anyone. At the moment she didn't care about anything at all, because she had a date with most attractive boy she'd ever seen. "I got a date, yes I do! I got a date, how 'bout you?" she chanted, and began to dance.

Jenny got back to her house pretty quickly. She climbed through her window, and leaned against her wall, breathing heavily. "Oh my.... What a night..." she breathed. She changed into her pj pants, and just took off her shirt, throwing it aside. She threw herself onto her bed, making a lough thump! and closed her eyes. "I wonder if we'll meet again.." she muttered quietly.

Zane walked out of the alley, covered in blood. He licked his lips feeling much better. He smiled brightly, "tonight was a great night," he said happily to himself, as he started to walk home to his small house.

Ian stalked back into the house. The sun was out, and it was making him queasy. He quickly drew all the curtains together. He hated the sun. It made him feel awful. He sprawled out on the couch, wishing it would rain.


'Beep! Beep! Beep!' The alarm screamed in Victoria's ear. She rolled over knocked it off the desk, pulling the cord from its socket. Flash jumped up on the bed and started to lick Victoria's face. "Ew, Flash! That's gross!" she said, shoving him away. Somehow, in the process, she fell out of bed. "Well this day is off to a great start," she groaned. She stood up and began to get ready for school in a daze.

Jenny sighed as her alarm clock started going off, filling the room with Shake It by Metrostation. She groaned, and turned off the alarm. It was starting to give her a headache. Actually she didn't really feel good at all. Her stomach twisted painfully and she put a hand tightly over her mouth as she ran to her bathroom. She groaned again, leaning against the toliet seat. Guess she wasn't going to school now was she.

Zane was sitting in his at his counter in his small house. All his curtains were shut tightly so no light could get in or out. His house was dim, but he was reading a new book. He had a book shelf all jam packed with romance novels, dramas, and horror books; there were even some sitting on the floor because they couldn't fit. What? He had to do something. He didn't sleep, remember? He sighed, flipping the page.

Ian groaned. He was beginning to get sweaty. This was not his day. The curtains hadn't helped much. So he walked (very slowly) to his room and laid down in the middle of his bed. Their were no windows here. This would be a long day, but all he could do was tough it out and wait for the night.



"Alright, Flash, I'm going. Don't poop on anything," Victoria told her dog. She walked out, locking the door, and got into her car. She took her time going to school. Driving up to the school filled her with dread. She had completely forgotten. Math test. Oh no. She was in no mood to take a test, let alone attend school. She didn't slow down as she passed the building. She would skip. Besides, Mrs. Jones would always let her make take the test tomorrow. Instead, Victoria drove to McDonald's. A Pepsi would make her feel better.

Jenny groaned again, and threw up again. She heard her mother walk into her room and call her name. "In here," she replied weakly. Her mother came in. "Oh dear," she said. She hustled out of the room, and soon came back with a blanket. She placed it around Jenny's shoulders, and placed a hand on her clammy forehead. "Oh Jennifer! You're burning up!" she said, "I'll go get medicine." He mother hustled out of the room again.

Zane sighed, tossing the already finished book off to the side. He got up, and walked to the bookshelf, and grabbed another book randomly. He looked at the title. Gone With The Wind. He shrugged, it walk take him an hour and a half tops to finish this book.

Ian rolled over. Their where very few books on his shelf. He got up to see what he had. Nothing of interest. But he needed something to do. So he settled on 'Wuthering Heights.' "I hope you can hold my interest." he muttered.



Victoria put down her Pepsi and picked up her phone, punching in numbers while trying to watch the road. She put it to her ear. Someone picked up on the first ring. "Hello?" a female's voice asked. "Mom, it's me. I'm sick. What do I do?" Victoria asked. "Take some Tylenol. Geez Vicky. Don't you know how to take care of yourself? Maybe you shouldn't have left home, I mean, If you're going to be-" Victoria cut her off. "Okay, got it. Bye." and she hung up.

Jenny's mom came back into the room, and gave her the medicine. "I'm off to work, call me if you need anything," he mother said, leaving the bathroom. Soon after Jenny heard her mother's car pull out of the driveway. Jenny stood up slowly. She pulled the blanket tighter around herself, and put on a shirt. She got her shoes on, and slowly trudged outside. The sky was darkening, a rain storm coming in fast. She shrugged, and walked to the park, not caring that she was in her pj's, wearing a blanket, and that it was going to down pour in around ten minutes. She sat on a swing away, rocking herself gently.

Zane sighed. He hated being a fast reader. He was already on page 82, and he had just started reading. His reading slowed down as he started daydreaming about his date that night. A smile was soon on his face, and the book dropped from his hands, landing with a harsh thump! on the table. He sighed again, coming back to reality.

I am in serious need of some new books. Ian thought disdainfully as he put the book back. That's it. He would go to the book store. But before he left he went to the bathroom and pulled a comb through the overgrown 'shag' he called his hair. He expected to be blinded by the bright sunlight as he left the house, but the sun had been covered by dark storm clouds. He decided to take the route that went through the park. So he began walking, suddenly in a good mood.


Flash spun in frantic, happy circles and barked at Victoria's early return. Victoria ignored him and flopped down on the couch. Flash jumped beside her. Victoria looked at him. He looked at her. She at him some more. Then Flash barked loudly and ran circles around the couch, like psycho - maniac. Victoria laughed at him.

Jenny felt her stomach twist painfully again, and she fell off the swing, onto the ground, clutching her stomch. She groaned, but didn't throw up again, thankful for that little bit. She stood up slowly, and sat on the swing again, still rocking gently, her head resting on the chain. She was sweating, even though the air was cool around her, her hair plastered to her face, and sticking up in different places.

Zane sighed, shoving the book off the table completely. He hated having nothing to do. He couldn't sleep, he didn't eat, there was barely anything that could hold his interest. He got up, and peeked out his window. The sky was darkening by the second, looking more ominous too. He walked outside, deciding to go for another stroll around the town.

Ian spotted someone sitting on the swing as he walked. He instantly recognized the person. "Hey, Jenny," he called casually, despite his insane excitement. "I thought I might find you here."


Victoria shook her cup angrily. All of her drink was already gone. Now what? Then she had an idea. She jumped and quickly out Flash's leash on. She would go for a walk.

Jenny looked up at Ian tiredly, but quickly looked away, hoping he didn't notice how bad she looked, not that anyone couldn't notice the pale sickly looking girl on a swing. She brought her blanket up to her face, and started coughing harshly. She looked back up a little, and said, "Hey Ian," her voice scratchy, and hoarse.

Zane sighed, he just wished that eight would come sooner. He smiled again as he continued to think about that night, not really paying attention to where exactly he was walking, and almost ran into a lamp post, and a tree.

Ian looked toward the ever darkening sky, and at the street which held the bookstore. A light bulb came on above his head. "Hey, I was just on my way to the bookstore. Maybe you could come with me? But, you'd probably want to change first....?" he suggested, frowning at the blanket. Didn't she know it would rain soon?


Flash dragged Victoria along, tugging at his leash, nose to the ground. Victoria didn't seem to notice. Her mind was in other places. Wondering about what the night would bring, dreading school the next day, worrying about getting that promotion at work.
Flash, on the other hand, was totally focused. There was nothing he cared about more at that moment than finding out who, or what the inhuman scent belonged. to.

Jenny sighed in relief that he didn't notice she was sick. Just when she thought that she could possibly get away with it, she felt her stomach start to give out, and she booked it for the woods. She fell onto her knees, and vomited. She coughed harshly again, making herslef feel even worse. She groaned, and fell onto her side.

Zane was still staring off into space, day dreaming. It was the best he could to to make the time go by faster, since the day seemed to drag on, and on, just like every day did. His silly grin was still on his face, and people were staring at him weird.

Ian scowled, then grimaced, then put on a carefully blank face as he followed silently. She hadn't gone far. Ah. He saw the problem, looking at the pile of goo beside her. He crouched down behind Jenny, grimacing. The smell was sharper to him. He held his breath. Going anywhere was bad for her. "...Need help?" he asked after a few moments' silence.


Flash could tell the scent growing stronger. A scent all too sweet, it burned as it registered in his nose. Soon enough, Flash spotted a person walking, and he began running. He recognized the figure immediately. As soon as had reached the person, Flash barked and spun in frantic, happy circles, pulling Victoria along with him. "Flash, stop it! Crazy thing!" Victoria shouted. Flash calmed down, a little. Victoria looked up startled at who she saw. "Oh, Zane. I wasn't expecting you."

Jenny winced at the oh so familiar voice. She knew she had been caught, and looked up at Ian tiredly, her red eyes looking into his. She winced at the thought of how bad she must have looked. She groaned, and let her head drop onto the ground again.

Zane's smile grew as her was brought out of his day dreaming, and back to reality. "Hey Victoria!" he said, probably a little too happily. He tilted his head a bit. "Aren't you supposed to be in school?" He asked curiously.

Ian scowled again, trying to think of what to do. The bookstore could wait. "Do want me to help to get back home? Or would you prefer to do something else?" he asked, carefully planning each word.


"I didn't feel like going." she said, shrugging. "Besides, we had a math test today, and I totally forgot to study. Yikes!" she looked at him thoughtfully. "So, what have you been up to?"

Jenny groaned. "I don't wanna go home... It's always too lonely there... That's why I came here..." She said quietly, her throat burning like it was caught on fire. She forced herself into a sitting position, and started coughing again into her blanket.

Zane shrugged cooly, trying to act casual, and hiding his excitement. "I've just been reading all day so far. Thought I'd go for a walk, and I guess it was a good thing I did," he said, smiling down at Flash, and petting his head gently.

Ian glanced towards the book store again. That was the bad thing about humans. Sicknesses, and that they were too easy to harm. "Well...What do you want to do, then?" Ian pressed.


Victoria grinned. "Totally." Flash tried to spin again, but quickly got tangled in the leash. He barked out of frustration. " Yeah, I think he ate paint chips when he was a puppy," Victoria sighed, bending to untangle Flash.

Jenny sat there for a moment, coughing. She groaned again, and flopped back onto the ground. She thought over her choices, and came to her conclusion. "I think I'll lay here, and die," she muttered. It sounded like the best choice to her.

Zane chuckled quietly. "Is he always like this?" He asked curiously. He had a dog when he was human, but he couldn't remember what it was like, it was too long ago. He thought it was a lab, but he guessed it didn't act like this if it was.

Ian sighed. Jenny gave him no options. She was lucky she was so pretty. "Well, what you like to come to my house?"


Victoria nodded. "Always like this, sad but true." she said, almost mournfully. Flash growled, as if he understood every word. Victoria stuck her tongue out at him.

Jenny glanced up at him, a little shocked. "Your house?" She asked, sitting up fast, which wasn't the brightest thing to do, seeing how it made her really dizzy. A wave of nausea washed over her, and she had to hold down her urge to throw up.

Zane laughed softly, and pet Flash on the head. "It's alright Flash, I bet you're not that bad all the time," he said, smiling brightly, his fangs barely showing.

Careful...Ian thought. "Yes," he said. "You don't want to go to your house, so why not? I could carry you, if you wanted."
No, no, no! What are you doing? You're begging for trouble! a voice in his head raged. A voice which he ignored.

Flash wagged his tail frantically. Finally someone who understood! "Of course he isn't..." Victoria said quietly, sarcastically. "So," she said, changing he subject. "You remember what we're doing later, right?"

Jenny nodded. She barely knew Ian, but he was really nice, and he helped her the night before, so she trusted him completely. "Alright, thanks," she said softly, her voice still breaking. She coughed, holding her blanket over her mouth as she did. "I owe you big time," she said.

Zane smiled brightly, still petting Flash as he looked up at her. "Of course! We are going to dinner tonight at eight, at Applebee's," he chuckled quietly. He couldn't wait for that still.

Ian nodded. Carefully he slid his arms under Jenny and lifted. It was easy for him, a vampire, but she was not supposed to know that.

"Sweet, you remembered!" Victoria said, grinning. She couldn't wait. "It's super cool that we got to meet each other, you know? And Flash really likes you, too."

Jenny groaned at the sudden movement, and again held down the urge to vomit. She closed her eyes, leaning against Ian, trying to think of anything other than that she was sick, and a guy she really liked was carrying her while she was sick. "I-I'm sorry to bother you," she said quietly. She suddenly felt something cool, and wet, against her skin. It was starting to rain.

Zane chuckled as he scratched behind Flash's ear gently. "Well, I really like Flash, too. In fact I really like him, and his owner," he said, giving Victoria a charming smile, but he was telling the truth.

"No, it's perfectly okay," Ian assured her, suddenly aware of the rain. He sped up his pace, but only by a little. He didn't want her to be sick again.

Victoria smirked. "Well, whoever this dog's owner is," she said, smoothly. "Is a very lucky girl."

Jenny held her blanket tighter around herself, shielding her cloths from the rain so she wouldn't get all wet, since she didn't have any extra cloths with her. The cold rain felt so nice on her hot skin, and she sighed softly.

Zane chuckled quietly. "Yes you are, but I think I'm more lucky, since I have you," he said. He looked up at the sky as it started to rain, then looked over at Victoria. "Unless you're doing something, do you want to come to my house?" He asked, though his mind was yelling at him for even thinking of the idea. It was dangerous for a human and vampire to be alone together, but he thought he could conrol himself pretty well around her.

Finally after what seemed like too long, Ian saw his house.He turned the door knob with his elbow and used his back to push the door open. He set Jenny down on the couch, then proceeded to get a couple of towels from the laundry room.

"Your house? Dear God. Let's go!" Victoria said, getting excited. Flash felt the excitement, and began to tug at the leash and bark. Victoria tightened her hold on the leash. "Not this time..." she said to Flash.

Jenny pulled her knees up to her chest, wrapping her wet blanket around herself more. She coughed harshly, holding her blanet over her face. She groaned, putting her head on her knees, and sighed softly. She hated how a guy she liked had to see her like this.

Zane smiled brightly, and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "I think we better get going, don't you think?" He chuckled, catching a few rain drops in the palm of his hand.

"Do you want to change clothes?" Ian called from the laundry room. He had already found a pare of faded jeans and a black long-sleeved shirt, that were too small for him. He sauntered into the living room and tossed a towel to Jenny. He used another to dry his hair, which didn't work well.

"Yeah, totally," Victoria agreed, grinning. "This is awesome. You'll have to come to my apartment sometime. No critical parents or annoying siblings...." she said, almost describing her family.

Jenny took the towel, and slowly proceeded to dry her hair. "Sure," she responded quietly. He cloths had gotten damp anyways, after the rain soaked through her blanket. She stopped drying her hair, it sticking up at even more odd angles, and held the towel loosely in her hand.

Zane smiled a little. "I live in a small cottage by myself," he said simply. "I haven't seen my family in years." More like hundreds of years, he thought. "But I don't care really. They were always trying to make me into something I didn't want to be," he said quietly. Yea, a blood sucking monster.

"Okay, hang on." Ian said, going to grab the clothes from off the dryer. He also got a hairbrush from the bathroom. After he was done, he made his way back into the living room and handed Jenny the brush and clothes. "Go through that door at the north side of the kitchen, the bathroom's right down the hall after that. Oh, and if you want to take a shower, that's fine."

"Yeah, me too. Mother hates it that I like heavy metal and wear black a lot of the time. I couldn't take it anymore, so I moved. I'd like a cottage, but they are expensive around here." Victoria told Zane. "I'd love to live in the mountains after I graduate. The view would be amazing..."

Jenny nodded, and slowly got up, leaving the blanket behind, and taking the things he gave to her. She followed his direction blindly, ending up at the bathroom. She closed the door, not bothering to lock it, and stripped down, stepping into the shower. She turned the water on cold, and sat down, letting the water just fall onto her.

Zane nodded. "I actually found this cottage at a great time, since it wasn't that much at the time. But I'd like to live off in the mountains too. They seem so peaceful, and the surroundings are beautiful," he said, walking Victoria in the direction of his cottage.

Ian took up the blanket on the couch and put it into the dryer. He thought she would want a dry blanket instead of wet one. He then decided on washing his hair, so he sauntered to the bathroom next to the laundry room and grabbed a bottle of shampoo. He turned the warm water on in the sink and bent over, letting the water fall on his head.

"There, you see? We have like minds." Victoria noted, on how they agreed on pretty everything so far. It was turning our perfect. She was thinking about what she would say at Applebee's later that night, when Flash spotted a chipmunk and began barking hysterically. Victoria almost lost the leash again, but she held fast. "Flash..." she warned.

Jenny groaned, standing up. She washed her skin off, then her hair, making sure she didn't smell as sickly as she felt. She turned off the water, then stepped out, wrapping herself up in the towel. She sneezed two times, then groaned again, holding her head. She dried herself off, got changed into the kind of baggy cloths, then brushed her hair, before heading back to the living room. She sat down on the couch, then layed down, and ended up felling alseep.

Zane chuckled, and nodded in agreement. "I guess we do have like minds," he agreed. He looked at Flash, and smiled brightly. "It's alright Flash, it's just a chipmunk," he laughed softly, still holding onto Victoria as they walked. He couldn't believe how perfect she was. She was just so easy to talk to, and was a great person in general.

Ian stood in the living room doorway, frozen. He had taken his shirt off because it was getting to wet, and there was a towel wrapped around his head like a turban. He hoped she was asleep. He turned to walk back into the living room and hit the end table in the process, knocking over a glass vase. It shattered into a million pieces on the ground. HE stood, frozen with shock.

Victoria leaned into Zane, just a little. It was amazing how much it seemed that they belonged together. "How far away is your house, er, cottage?" she asked, curious.

Jenny groaned softly, shifting her position a tiny bit. She blinked her eyes open, and rubbed them gently as she sat up. She looked over at Ian, and tilted her head a tiny bit. "Are you alright?" She asked, still half asleep.

Zane pointed with his free hand towards the end of the street, where you could see the woods. "It's just a little farther," he said, quickening his pace slightly. He looked down at her, and smiled, making sure she couldn't see his fangs still.

"Um...yeah..." Ian said, flinching, like he was in pain. He limped over to the armchair and sat down, rubbing his knee. It didn't really hurt, but it would leave a convincing bruise. He groaned quietly.

"Okay," Victoria said, satisfied. Flash seemed calm, at least for the moment. Victoria silently wished that would last through the day. "You know what? I can NOT wait for Halloween," Victoria said, on a completely random note.

Jenny slowly got up, and swaggered over to him, still rubbing her eyes. She kneeled infont of him, and gently touched where he was holding his knee. She yawned, her stomach feeling a tiny bit better than before, she was sure she just had a fever now. "You should put some ice on that," she yawned, getting up, and going to his freezer to get him some ice.

Zane started laughing at her random outburst. "Really? I love Halloween. Deffinately my favorite holiday," he chuckled softly. "What do you want to be fore Halloween?" He asked her as they got closer to his cottage. He could actually see it now.

Ian watched Jenny warily. At least she believed him. Maybe he was a better actor then he thought.

Victoria thought. "Oh, I don't know yet. I was thinking maybe a goth. Or a vampire." she shrugged. "Who knows? Maybe I'll be both."

Jenny grabbed a nearby dish towel, and placed some ice cubes in the center of it. She took the towel corners, and twister it together, then handed it over to Ian. "There you go," she yawned, laying back down on the couch.

Zane raised an eyebrow. "You like vampires?" He asked her, smiling a little as they came up the walkway to his house. He got out his key, unlocked the door, and let Victoria inside first.

"Thanks," Ian said, pushing the towel to his 'injured' knee. "So...How do you feel?" he asked, trying to fill up the silence.

"Yeah, I love 'em!" Victoria said as she entered the house. Flash sped past her and immediately jumped up on the couch. "Nice place," Victoria said quickly. "Flash! Get down! That is very rude!" she scolded. But Flash didn't understand.

Jenny groaned softly, wishing she had her blanket again. "I'm really cold, and I still feel aweful, but I don't think I'll throw up any more," she said, her voice quiet.

Zane laughed, he hadn't had company in over a hundred years.
"It's alright, I don't mind him up there, and thanks," he said, smiling at the dog. He went into the house as well, and shut the door behind him, locking it, like he always did. "I love vampires too," he chuckled softly.

"Maybe it's just a twenty-four thing, then." Ian said, semi-interested. "Your other blanket is in the dryer." He gestured to the laundry room, then to his room. "If you want, you can go get a blanket from my room. There's a red one in the closet..."


"Awesome," Victoria said, moving Flash out of the way so she could sit down on the couch too. "This seems like a fitting haunt for a vampire, no offense. I might just have to decorate my apartment like this."

Jenny coughed, sitting up. She slowly stood up, still half asleep, and went into Ian's room. She went through his closet, then swaggered her way back into the living room, the blanket half around herself, and fell back onto the couch, passing out. One foot hung off the side of the couch, along with one arm, the blanket wrapped around her other arm, and across her back.

Zane chuckled softly, thinking, 'if only you knew...' "None taken," he said to her first comment. "I quiet like this style, it fits me perfectly, and if you had something like it we'd be matching buddies," he chuckled, trying to pull off a joke, but thinking it unsuccessful.

Ian looked at Jenny. How great it must be to sleep. He hadn't asked to be a vampire, he didn't sign up for it. He didn't even know that vampires existed, until his encounter with the beautiful woman in the woods. "Too bad she doesn't know..." he mumbled to himself.

Jenny laughed once. "Most definitely," Victoria replied. "I could totally see my apartment with this kind of decor..." she eyed Flash, sitting next to her, and thought of something. "So, how come you don't have any pets?"

Jenny groaned, for some reason unable to sleep. Still mostly asleep, she sat up, untangled the blanket from around herself,, and layed it over her legs. Forgetting where she was, she took off her shirt, throwing it aside, then flopped back onto the couch, curling up into the blanket like she usually did at her house.

Zane smirked. "I have a pet, but it's not your usual, everyday, sort of pet..." He said, his sentence trailing off as he gazed out inbetween the curtains. "She's not an indoor pet, and not really a pet that you'd really find a lot of people having," he said.

Ian gasped, then threw a hand over his mouth. He focused on a painting hanging the wall as he picked up Jenny's borrowed shirt. "Erm...Jenny?" he said quietly.

Melanie bounced up and down in here seat. "Oh! I wanna see!" she said frantically, suddenly very excited. Flash barked twice. "Can I see it?! I won't tell anyone, I swear!"

Jenny was fast asleep again, feeling much better. She groaned, turning onto her side, the blanket wrapped around herself tightly. "Hmmm?" She asked. Her mother found it kind of amusing to hold conversations with her while she slept, since she usually answered back.

Zane chuckled at Victoria's excitement. "Alright! Alright! Just calm down!" He laughed. "And I must warn you not to call her "it", she's very sensitive. Her name is Snowfall," he said, smiling. He unlocked the door, and opened it, stepping outside. He glanced back at Victoria, still smiling. "Do not be afraid, she won't hurt you," he said, turning towards the woods, and whistleing. Soon a large white creature came galloping towards the cottage, and skidded to a stop at the door. It sniffed the air, then poked it's head inside the door, before going inside completely. Staring at Victoria was a fully grown white wolf. Zane came in after, closed the door, and locked it. "Victoria, this is Snowfall," he said, petting the wolf on the head.

Ian felt his eyebrows raise. "Jenny." he said, louder. "Jen, I have something to show you..." he continued, still looking at the painting. He shuddered.

Victoria stared, wide-eyed at the wolf. "Oh. Wow," was all she could say. After a few seconds she found her voice again. "Snowfall...I've never seen a wolf as beautiful as her before." Victoria stretched out a little towards Snowfall. Flash stared too, his tail wagging frantically.

"What is it?" She asked, still fast asleep. She sighed softly, turning herself a little bit. Her arm was thrown over the side of the couch again, one foot poking out from the other side of the blanket. Her head tilted back as she tried to get comfortable again.

Zane smiled, letting his hand drop to his side. Snowfall sniffed towards Victoria, and took a step forwards. She looked to Zane, who nodded once to her, and she turned back to Victoria. She pressed her nose against her hand as a gesture that she liked her. Zane chuckled. "Isn't that cute? She likes you," he said.

"You, uh...your shirt..." Ian stuttered, not quite sure of what to say. He didn't take his eyes off the painting. 'Must. Not. Look.' he chanted in his head. He cleared his throat. "Jenny, I'd REALLY prefer it if you'd put your shirt back on."

Victoria grinned and patted Snowfall's head. "Zane, how did you obtain such a wonderful animal anyways?" she asked. Flash wagged his tail frantically. Arrrrr, he hurred.

Jenny groaned, turning again. "But I don't wanna," she argued, pulling the blanket over her head. "You can't make me," she groaned, her words slightly slurred.

Zane smiled waching the two girls. "I found her when she was a baby, she had been abandoned by her mother," he said, stroking Snowfall's soft pure white fur. "She's fun to play hide-and-seek with in the winter too," he chuckled. Snowfall sniffed Flash, her tail wagging slowly, before picking up some speed.

Ian smiled, amused, while he found something else to focus on, the bookshelf. "So, you'd like to parade around half-naked?" he asked casually.

Victoria smiled. "Cool," she replied, still petting Snowfall. Flash's wagging increased, he barked deeply. "Behave..." Victoria warned Flash.

"I don't care," her muffled voice sounded from under the blanket. "I don't see why it's a big deal, " she yawned in her sleep, "it's not like I'm all the way naked," she groaned, turning again.

Snowfall's wagging increased, and she barked back at Flash before licking Victoria's hand. Zane smiled as he watched them all. It was such a cute scene, and he couldn't look away.
