A vampire saves a young buy from being killed and in return the buy becomes his host. A host is someone the vampire can go to and freely take blood from said person. After awhile a hunter comes into the town they live in. At night, when the vampire is out doing something the hunter goes into the boy's room and takes him. The vampire goes after the hunter, wanting to protect his host, who he's developed strong feelings for in the short months they were together.

Karim was slinking through the shadows beside the streets as he searched for his next meal. It shouldn't be too hard to find someone to lure away from the crowd.

Jeremy sneezed as he walked down the alley to his apartment. He was getting a cold, stupid New York weather was trying to kill him, it always tried to kill him.

Karim noticed a boy walking down the sidewalk, he looked a bit sick but his blood smelled delicious.

Jeremy turned into a different alley and froze, someone was near. He turned around and came face to face with a man what seemed twice his size.

Karim hovered close by in the shadows, making sure it was pretty much impossible to see him. He stared at the larger man. He seemed violent...

Without saying anything the man grabbed Jeremy's neck, lefting him in the air. Jeremy kicked his feet into dead air.

Karim blinked and took a half step out of the shadows, wondering whether or not to save this boy. He stared at the other man. Yes, he should. This guy definately have malicious intent.

the guy dropped Jeremy onto the ground and grabbed his wallet.

Karim stepped out of the shadows, coming up behind the guy. He was about 5 inches shorter than the muscular man, but had no doubt he could take him.

The man turned around, growling slightly when he saw Karim.

Karim glares at the guy, "You gonna give that back?" He said calmly but slightly menacingly.

"Nothing in it," he said tossing it beside Jeremy.

"I doubt that." Karim stared into the man's eyes.

"Do whatever you want with the body," the guy walking away.

Karim grabbed the man's neck and pulled him back, then quickly sunk his teeth into his shoulder. This one deserves to be sucked dry.

the man went limp and fell to the ground beside Jeremy.

Karim looked a tthe boy. He sat next to him, "Are you okay?" He checked his pulse and stuff like that.

Jeremy grabbed the unknown man's sleeve, clinging for life.

Karim picked him up and sprinted home, getting there in a minutes or two. He laid the boy down on the couch, staring at him for a moment. Crud! what do I do!?

Jeremy took uneven breaths, his paluse getting weaker and weaker.

Karim looked at the boy, having no idea on what to do.

Jeremy opened his eyes, everything seemed blurry to him, and in groups.

Karim opened the boy's mouth and gave him CPR.

Jeremy fully opened his eyes, everything more clear now. He felt his neck and looked at the guy sitting near him.

Karim closed his eyes, meditating kind of. "Hello."

"Hello," Jeremy said weakly, holding his neck.

Karim stared at him for a moment, "Are you okay?"

Jeremy nodded his head. It hurt to speak at the time being.

Karim nodded, "Thirsty?" He held out a glass of water.

"Tha...anks," Jeremy said taking the water. He moved his hand off his throat and took a small drink.

Karim looked at his throat for a moment, "That guy tried to strangle you..."

Jeremy nodded, agreeing with the guy.

"I'm Karim." He smiles, extending a hand.

"Jere...my" Jeremy said.

Karim smiles," Nice to meet you..."

Jeremy nodded his head. "Same." he said quickly.

Karim sighed and turned on the news.

"I need...to get home," Jeremy said. He stood up, but his legs gave out on him and he fell back onto the couch.

Karim sighed, "wait until you're rested."

"Fine," Jeremy said.

Karim grins and nods. "Good."

Jeremy sighed and closed his eyes.

Karim thoguht for a moment, "Who are you, by the way? I mean like, where are you from?"

"I'm from here," Jeremy said, "father left me alone when I was 14."

"So you live with your mom?" Karim wonders.

[queen-of-meadow-lands]

"She died gicing birth to me," Jeremy said looking down.

[teh-ch33to]

"So you live with friends?" Karim was confused. This guy was too young to have been living alone wince 14.

"Alone," Jeremy said, "I've raised myself for three years."

Karim stares at him for a moment, "You can stay here if you want."

"I couldn't," Jeremy said, "there's no way I could."

[teh-ch33to]

"Why not?" Karim asked.

[queen-of-meadow-lands]

"I just don't know why," Jeremy said, "but I couldn't intrude on you, living here and all."

Karim thinks for a moment, "Do you like vampire stories? Like books and movies?"

"Love them," Jeremy said, "I still read them."

[teh-ch33to]

Karim smiles, "Then you know what a host is?"

[queen-of-meadow-lands]

"Yeah," Jeremy said, "it's someone who willingly gives blood to a vampire. Most humans become hosts after a vampire saves them, a sign of thanks."

Karim nods, thinking for a moment, "Well, you wouldn't be intruding if you... paid rent?" He said, back to the earlier subject.

"I don't have a job at the moent," Jeremy said looking down.

"No, not payment as in money..." Karim thinks for a moment, "What about... becoming my host?"

"Wait...you're a vampire?" Jeremy asked, turning to Karim.

[teh-ch33to]

"How else could I have saved you from a guy that's been taking steriods or something?" Karim shrugs.

"That is true," Jeremy said, "and I wouldn't mind becoming your host."

Karim nods and grins, "Cool."

"What do hosts do?" Jeremy asked. "i know some give the vampire an item, to show that the vampire has a host."

"You do whatever you usually do, except for when I'm thirsty." Karim thinks for a moment, "I guess."

"Coolness," Jeremy said smiling.

Karim laughs, leaning back in his seat, "Are you tired or soemthing?"

"I'm fine now," Jeremy said.

Karim nods slowly, "So what do you do?"

"I was going for a job interview," Jeremy said, "but I have nothing planned."

Karim nods, "Okay..."

Jeremy yawns and rubs his eyes.

Karim stares at him, "Wanna see your room?"

"Sure," Jeremy said.

Karim stands up, going upstairs.

Jeremy got off the couch, following after him.

Karim opened the door to a lavish room. It had a crimson carpet and a black leather couch. There was a TV and the walls were white.

"OMG," Jeremy said, his jaw dropping.

Karim looked over at Jeremy, "What?"

"I've only seen places like this in movies." Jeremy stated.

Karim laughs, "Well then..."

"I'm going to love it here," Jeremy said smiling.

Karim smiles, "Well good."

Jeremy walked over to the bed, touching it.

Karim watched him.

"I've never had someone give something this nice to me," Jeremy said.

Karim laughed, "Well I don't really have use for a room so it's all yours."

"Would you mind if i gave you a hug?" Jeremy asked.

Karim shook his head, "No..."

Jeremy came over and hugged Karim tightly.

Karim slowly hugged back.

"Thanks for everything you've done today," Jeremy said.

"No problem..." Karim smiles.

"It's the nicest anyone's ever treated me," Jeremy said.

Karim smiles, "You need to get more friends. "and laughs.

"I have some," Jeremy said, "but they come and go depending on where i'm working at the time."

Karim nods, "Uh huh okay."

Jeremy let go of Karim, smiling.

Karim smiled back.

Jeremy ran over to the bed, jumping into it.

Karim laughed and smiled, "Have fun." and walks away.

Jeremy grinne dlike a little kid, smiling.

Karim goes back downstairs.

"I think I'm going to like it here," Jeremy said.

Karim watches TV boredly.

Jeremy soon fell asleep on the bed.

Karim didn't need sleep, but he fell asleep anyway, after putting the blackout curtains over all the windows.

Jeremy tossed and turned, hacing a nightmare.

Karim didn't have dreams...

Jeremy woke up sweating. He freaked out for a minute, forgetting where he was.

Karim was getting a little thirsty as he woke up.

Jeremy calmed down, remembering the vampire and where he was.

Karim went up to Jeremy's room, "You awake?"

"Yeah," Jreemy said wipping his forehead.

Karim smiles, "Are you hungry at all..?"

Jeremy shook his head. "not at the moment," he said, "what about you?"

Karim shook his head, "Nope."

Jeremy reached up and touched his neck. He could still fell a bruise from where the guy grabbed his neck.

"Do you need anything for that?" Karim meant the bruise.

"It'll heal," Jeremy said, "just hurts, that's all."

Karim nods, "Okay..."

Jeremy rubbed his head before falling back on the bed.

Karim smiled, "Bored?"

"Kinda," Jeremy said.

"You can go do something." Karim shrugs, "It's day so I can't go out."

"Ok," Jeremy said getting off the bed.

Karim nods, "seeya."

Jeremy got off the bed and looked down at his clothes.

Karim smiles, "Need money for clothes shopping?"

"Kinda," Jeremy said, "I'll pay you back as soon as I can."

Karim nods and hands him two $50's.

"Thanks," Jeremy said taking money.

[teh-ch33to]

"Your welcome." Karim smiles softly at him. "Don't get yourself killed 'cause I can't help you out in the day."

Jeremy nodded, heading out of the room.

Karim laid on the couch, falling asleep again.

Jeremy returned back an hour later. He went to a second hand shop, that was he could get more clothes.

Karim smiles, "Have fun?"

"Yeah," Jeremy said, "i got lots of clothes, have money left over."

Karim smiles, "Okay. Just keep the left over money, then."

Jeremy nodded, heading back up to what was his new room.

Karim just laid back on the couch.

Joey put the clothes away. He put the money in a drawer, setting it aside for another time.

Karim was starting to get a bit thirsty.

"I'm done," Jeremy said coming down the stairs.

Kairm nods, "Okay."

"You're getting thirsty, aren't you?" Jeremy asked.

[teh-ch33to]

"A little..." Karim smiles.

Jeremy smiled slightly. he honestly didn't know what to do.

Karim looked at him "You'll pass out if I drink from you. Tired?"

"I can always use rest," Jeremy said.

[teh-ch33to]

Karim smiles. "Okay. Some here."

Jeremy nodded, walking over to Karim.

Karim pulled him down and put his lips to Jeremy's neck.

Jeremy closed his eyes, not knowing what to expect next.

Karim fangs slowly went into Jeremy's skin, it hurt for a split second before the natural drug seeped out of Karim's fangs to make it numb.

Jeremy gripped his pants when he felt the pain, but let go when he felt something come over his body.

Karim didn't drink a lot because he didn't need a lot. He pulled out his fangs and put a band-ais over the wound, going upstairs and putting Jeremy on his bed and then going back downstairs.

Jeremy fell into a deep slumber, hazed over lightly.

Karim went outside after it became dark just to go for a walk.

Jeremy woke-up a few hours later.

Karim was back by then, it was around 2 AM.

Jeremy felt his neck and remembered why he passed out.

Karim laid down on the couch, staring at the ceiling.

"I'm hungry," Jeremy mumbled, getting off the bed and opening the fdoor.

Karim looks up at Jeremy, "What are you hungry for?"

"Anything that's considered food," Jeremy said.

Karim laughs, "Okay.."

"What do you have?" Jeremy asked.

[teh-ch33to]

"Er, not much. Go check the kitchen. If you can't find soemthing you like I can just take you out to eat." Karim smiles.

Jeremy walked into the kitchen, looking around.

Karim was sitting in a chair, leaning back leisurely.

Jeremy bit ihs lip, grabbing an apple.

Karim yawns lightly. Bored.

Jeremy walked into the living room, taking a seat. He noticed his sock was half off so he put the apple on his mouth and fixed his sock.

Karim smiles and laughs lightly.

Jeremy took the apple out of his mouth, turning to face Karim.

Karim grins at him.

Jeremy shrugged his shoulders and began eatting the apple.

Karim leans back into the couch.

Jeremy finished his apple and looked over at Karim.

Karim stared back at him.

"What should I do now?" Jeremy asked.

"What do you wanna do?" Karim asks.

"I wonna go out and do something," Jeremy said.

Karim nods. "Amusement park? Movie? Beach?"

"A movie," Jeremy said, "haven't seen a good one in a long time."

Karim nods and stands up, "Let's go then."

Jeremy smiled, standing up with Karim.

Karim made his way to the door.

Jeremy followed out behind Karim.

Karim smiled, "Do you know anything that's showing?"

"The Dark Knight," Jeremy said.

Karim nods, "okay."

Jeremy smiled, and stepped out of the house yawning.

Karim walks beside Jeremy.

Jeremy smiled, heading towards the theater.

Karim smiled, "So what's the movie about?"

"it's a Batman one," Jeremy said.

Karim laughs and nods.

"Don't know the real plot," Jeremy said, "but the villen is the Joker."

Karim nods, "Okay, cool."

Jeremy smiled as he continued towards the theater.

Karim saw it and walked up, buying the tickets.

Jeremy followed behind Karim, watching him.

Karim gave Jeremy his ticket, walking in.

"Thanks," Jeremy said taking the ticket.

Karim smiles, "Your welcome."

Jeremy smiled and held onto the ticket.

Karim looks at him," Wanna get popcorn or soemthing?"

"Popcorn sounds good," Jeremy said.

Karim smiles and goes to the snacks counter.

Jeremy looked over the snacks. Everything looked good.

Karim smiles, "Get whatever you want."

"I just have to pick something," Jeremy said.

Karim nods, "Kay."

"Can I get some Popcorn, and a box of Smarties?"Jeremy asked. He felt like a little kid again, asking for food at the movies.

Karim smiles and pays for the food.

Jeremy smiles. He hadn't gone to the movies since he was 10. What he was getting now was what he had the last time he went to the theater.

Karim smiled at Jeremy and picked seats for them.

Jeremy smiled, excited about the movie.

The movie starts after all the ads are done.

Jeremy sat in his seat, holding the bag of popcorn and eatting one peice at a time.

Karim just watched the screen.

Jeremy smiled as he ate the popcorn, loving the movie.

Karim thought it was pretty good for a batman thing.

Jeremy liked the movie, it was good, yet creepy.

Karim smiles when the movie was over, "I liked that..."

"Same here," Jeremy said standing up.

Karim walks out of the aisle.

Jeremy follows out behind him, yawning.

Karim smiles, "tired?"

"A little," Jeremy said, "when we get back if your thirsty you can take some, I need sleep."

Karim nods, "okay."

"Lead the way," Jeremy said.

Karim starts walking towards his home. It was a 2 hours or so until sunrise.

Jeremy yawned again. He didn't realize he had ben up so late.

Karim got to the house and closed the door behind Jeremy, locking it.

"Go ahead and take some blood," Jeremy said, "it'll put my to sleep, which is what I need."

Karim nods and makes his way upstairs.

Jeremy follows behind him, rubbing his eyes.

Karim smiles and walks into Jeremy's room.
