Appearance: Thin, feminine body, and long fingers. Black hair and Green eyes. -Just a basic description. Drawing to be added soon-

Education: Was taught in the Orphanage.
Bio/Personality: He doesn't remember either of his parents. He can only go on the stories that have been told to him by Soujirou, who was one of his father's friends. He has a short temper, and he's very irritable, but is patient when it comes to his sister.
Notes: He has the ability to read minds. And, he has reading glasses.

Bio/Personality: As a young child, she found her way to the orphanage. Having no memory of her parents, or anyone else, they took her in. She's very outgoing, but easily irritated. Also, she can be mischievous, and sneaky.

Appearance: Messy, tannish-silver hair that goes a bit past his face, thin feminine face and features, bright violet eyes. Wears long sleeved button-up shirts, black jeans

Education: Taught in the orphanage
Bio/personality: Little to nothing is known about Kiryuu's life before the orphanage. He's very eccentric, and condescending, but somehow friendly nonetheless. Blunt about how he feels, and is very sarcastic. He has virtually no friends, but he seems to be interested in a friendship with Irie.
Notes: His tails can all move on their own.

Bio/personality: Mikami's sort of what you'd call a loose cannon. He's not afraid to let anyone know what he thinks, especially about the person themselves. But I suppose that's what comes from being small. You've gotta stand up for yourself, and your siblings, ne? He takes care of his younger sister, Sukari. He cooks their meals, keeps the house clean, and occasionally goes out for groceries. Why does he do all this, one might wonder. If his parents were home, he wouldn't have to. Unfortunately, they're both work-a-holics. Their father being a major businessman, must travel constantly. And their mother works until very late at night, then leaves while they're at school.
After you get past his harsh, and sometimes unnecessary honesty, he's very sweet, and dependable.
Notes: He's extremely touchy about his height. (lol, Ed.)

Appearance: Her black hair is a bit more brown then black and defiantly longer then Irie's. Slim build, she has purple eyes with green flecks.

Education: home schooled in the orphanage
Bio/personality: Despite the fact she remembers nothing about her parents she still tries to find clues as to what they were like. Extremely independent and often doesn't listen, she's very rowdy for a good reason. Misaki is also a good liar. Currently she's trying to leave the orphanage without even her brother knowing.
Notes: They have an old cat named Aya. Like her brother, she has an ability, but she has yet to tell him about it.

Bio/personality: There’s not much to tell other then the fact that he grew up in a small family with a mortally ill little sister. They weren`t rich and they weren't poor, but her sickness simply could not be treated without the right amount of money. Tori's generally nice, but has mean streaks when people bad mouth his sister, which they often do because Tori isn't well liked among his school peers.
Notes: Nothing in particular except he's blind in one eye.

Name: Akuri 'Kuu-chan' Hojo

Appearance: Bright jade eyes, and short, messy brown hair. In the front, his hair is much longer on one side, sometime covering his eye. He's rather short, and his body matches that.
Ear/Tail type: Coyote
Education: High school
Bio/personality:He lives with his father and older brother, as his mother died a while back and seemingly has it easy. Of course, thats not really the case. His father is often overseas, and his brother isn't very good at being, well, good. There tend to be many parties hosted by his older brother, and Kuu usually doesn't come out of them unscathed, as most of the guests get drunk. He's very, very sweet, and a bit of a goof, but he tends to get upset easily.
Notes: Kuu is a photography lover. He brings his camera everywhere.

Name: Sven Morizaki
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Height:5'10
Appearance: Sven has a nice grassy green hair colour. His hair is grass-like to the touch, and stretches down to the mid level of his back. The cabbage head's eyes are a nice sky blue that tend to darken when in shadows only. He has a slim build, and often wears sleeveless, white dress shirts. His pants are often just a pair of jeans, and he has a gold, wind design bangle on his left wrist, and a promise ring on his right hand.
Ear/Tail type: Rabbit ears, one with with a deep incision in it. He's tail belongs to that of a dog thanks to his Mother.
Education: High School
Bio/personality: Born the child of two strange parents, Sven appears to be a wood demon. His parents had been very good to him in the short time they lived in a village hidden from the world. It burned down mysteriously one day though, and he entered the human cities, stuck on his own. Sven is very sweet, and bold when he believes in something strongly. He wasn't always chatty, but lately he's been a bit more talkative.
Notes: If you didn't guess already, he's what you'd call a demon. A real one to. One Haku hasn't even begun to realize existed.

Irie rolled over sleepily, feeling around on his table for a clock, eventually finding it, and knocking it off the table. "Dammit..." He mumbled quietly, now reaching his hand to the floor fumbling about for the clock. Finally feeling it, he turned it over, and lazily opened his eyes, trying to decode the time in his still not fully awakened state of mind. "6....6:13...Ah, God, no wonder I don't want to get up yet..." Regardless of what he said, he rolled out of bed, onto his feet. He proceeded with his morning rituals. Brushing his hair, teeth, changing, etc. He then, left his room in a hurry.

Walking back into the doors of the Orphanage, Kiryuu noticed Irie hurrying past him. He didn't speak, he simply watched, wondering where he might be going.

At this time, Misaki was already up, smiling rather evilly today. She'd been winning a lot of bets with the with the man who ran the orphanage, and frankly, she'd been betting for money. In fact, she still had it stashed under her brothers bed. Not that he knew about it that is. She giggled, "Just one more bet and I'm good to go....I can get out."

Morning, the worst time of all for Tori. Thankfully, it was a Saturday, and he didn't have school. Of course, the unfortunate thing was, he was awake far to early. Not that he could help it of course, but it still annoyed him, and the half blind boy climbed out of bed.

A moan from a short boy was given out as he pushed himself off of the floor. Kuu looked around to see a trashed house, and sighed, dark circles underneath his eyes. Looking around, he found that his shirt was still tossed carlessly on the nearby couch thanks to one of the jerk-like party guests. Sighing, he tiredly moved around sleeping bodies of people who'd gotten drunk and grabbed his shirt before sneaking outside.

Irie continued along, passing his sister, Misaki. He stopped beside her, and greeted her. "Good morning, Misaki." He bowed slightly, and began to continue along.

Kiryuu, having nothing better to do, was silently stalking Irie. After all...Irie is such..an interesting person... He smirked inwardly.

Ryoko lazily sat up in bed, looking around. Finally, her eyes settled on the clock. "Almost 6:30..." She mumbled absentmindedly. "Time to...get up..." She slid off the bed, proceeding to change, and brush her teeth and hair. Although, funny thing was..Ryoko wasn't quite aware it was Saturday.

She only smiled and waved at him, noticing Kiryuu, but dismissing it with a giggle. That boy seemed to be interested in her brother, but she didn't really pay attention to it often. When Misaki did though, well...it turned out to be a very interesting day on those occasions.

No one was awake apprently, all except for his sister, who was out of bed and down stairs now. Today must have been a good day then, and her sickness must not have bee acting up. Smiling, Tori walked over and kissed her small forehead, "What do you want to eat on this fine morning Mori?"

He was wandering. Again. Akuri knew he really shouldn't be, what with the fact his briother would wake up and give him a good smackin once he found him wandering outside again. They were not the most affectionate siblings in the world when it came to interacting with eachother. Of course, how could they be? Kuu despised parties, because he usually got hurt and had to clean up in the morning thanks to them. It really was too hard to get around them.

Normally, Irie would have noticed someone following him, but for some reason, today, he just didn't. Although, he was curious as to why she started giggling suddenly. He looked behind him, seeing nothing...

Hiding behind one of the open doors, he grinned. Almost got caught that time... Of course, this was a great thrill for Kiryuu. It might've became an even greater thrill if he was seen, but he didn't want the game to end so soon.

After he confirmed that there was indeed no one following him, he turned back again, continuing his walk.

Almost fully awake now, Ryoko left her room, locking it behind her. She started off to class with her books and things, but then soon realized it was indeed Saturday, because no one else was awake..."Oh well..." She smiled to herself. "I guess i'll just...do something else!" She headed back to her room.

Heading outside, Misaki found herself staring at the gate they didn't often go past. She glared at it angrily, and finding a rock, she chucked it at the gate. A smack could be heard, and she found she'd hit a person instead of the object of her hate. Rushing over, she opened the gate forcibly and heaved the other person onto her lap. He was youn boy, who looked like he was only a few inches taller then herself,with rather messy brown hair.

"A orphan...? Or just an unlucky bystander?Oh well, can't leave him unconcious outside....."

Picking him up and dragging him, she made her way back inside the orphanage.

Tori smiled as Mori made her selection to be german pancakes. His person specialty, and her personal favorite. Patting her head kindly and glancing at the sickly face once more, he went to find the pancake mix. It didn't take to long,and soon enough he was making the proper amount of food for his dear little sister.

Soon, Irie began getting the feeling that someone was once again behind him. At first, he pretended not to notice. Then, suddenly, as if to catch his stalker off-guard, he whirled around, glaring.

Realizing he had been spotted, his tails twitched individually, as though they were happy. "Well, good morning, Irie-kun." He smirked playfully.

Tilting his head, he replied, "Who are you?"

"Ah, terribly sorry. I suppose we've never actually...met.." He grinned, showing off his fangs. "Kiryuu Touken." He bowed slightly, then regained his composure.

Uneasily, he began answering with his own name, "Irie Kuro-"

"No need." Kiryuu cut off his words carelessly. "I already know you."

His ears pressed back in a sort of uneasy way. "...What do you want?" He asked harshly, eyes slitting.

"Heehee.." He giggled at this. "I merely want to be your friend..." He walked towards Irie a bit, tails still twitching happily.


Ryoko lay back down on her bed, gameboy in hand. "It's so boring..." She said to herself. "I almost wish we had school today..."

Misaki dragged the unconcious boy a good ways inside the orphanage and stopped as soon as she saw Kiryuu and Irie. Giggling, an evil grin spread across her face. She suddenly jumped onto Kiryuu's back and smiled, "We all have a visitor!~"

And of course, by visitor, she meant the guy she'd accidenty knocked out. Not that Misaki would actually tell either of the two boys that. She'd just say she foud him outside unconcious, and hopefully neither would see through her lie.

The pancakes came along well enough, and Mori smiled happily as he finally finished preparing them for her. Placing the round, squishy pancakes on a plate, he fixed it up to have a more german approach to it. Soon enough, his sister was enjoying them as soon as he set them beore her.

Almost having no reaction at all to the sudden attack, he merely smiled at her. He eased her off his back, onto her feet, then smirked playfully. "Do we now..?"

Quickly recovering from everything that just happened with Kiryuu, he spoke somewhat uneasily, "Where is this visitor..?"


No longer amused by her gameboy, she quickly shut it off, not even bothering to save the progress. "Mm..I'll go for a walk.." She then jumped out of bed, and began running to the doors of the orphanage. As she ran, a cluster of other kids caught her attention, especially Irie. At that point, she found herself walking over to them. "Hey, What's going on?" She smiled.

Misaki just gave off one of her rather evil grin's, even though it was quite unintentional, I assure you. Turning around she walked a little ways and stood off to the side of the unconcious Kuu. She smiled, "He's unconcious right now, but he's a guest."

It was a rather strange scene actually. Because 1, she'd most likely dragged him inside, and really, who found a random unconcious person on the pavement in the morning? This would certainly prove to become an interesting morning indeed.

Tori smiled and pat her head as he set her on upstairs. He was going outside for a walk right now, so she would have to go back up there. Healthy for a little while or not. She had after all begun to seem tired again.

Kiryuu giggled, smirking at the boy, "Oh, it seems you've knocked him out.."

"My sister just dragged in an unconscious boy. One she more than likely knocked out herself..." He placed his hand on his forehead, as he replied to Ryoko.

"Oh, poor thing...Misaki-chan, what on earth did you do to him?"

She just shook her head, speaking a tad coyly, but nonetheless truthfully, "Oh, nothing really. How am I suppose to do something to someone if they're already unconcious when I found them? He must've been hungry, or maybe he got hit in the head by something."

The latter was probably the most truthful of it all. Getting hit in the head...by a rock. All thanks to her. Not that she'd let them know without them telling her they knew the truth.

Kiryuu giggled again. "You're so good at lying, Misaki-san..."

Irie just stayed silent. He knew she was probably lying, but he didn't pursue the matter, seeing as how Kiryuu was already doing it for him.

Misaki just grinned and kneeled beside the boy, picking him up a little seeing as it was kind of inconvinient to have him lying in the middle of the hallway.

"Ohh...? I'm lying? I must be horrible at it instead if you've seen through it Kiryuu-san."

That tone was more joking then anything else.

He merely laughed, and smiled, tails twitching again. "You'll have to work on it more, if you ever plan on tricking me."

Irie smiled at this. Perhaps Kiryuu -was- an interesting person. Though...a little creepy at first...

Ryoko also smiled, but then quickly frowned, "Well, what are we going to do with him?? Wouldn't the owner get angry for us just randomly taking in this kid?"

"Oh, theres no reason to worry about that. I'll just take him to Irie's room."

She lifted the kid up onto her back and started up the stairs. Thankfully he was shorter then her, so she could actually carry him. Misaki was giggling the entire time as if holding a humongous, and most certainly hilarious secret. In a sense it was true to. After all, what kind of owner gets sucked in by a kid's bet and loses each and everytime?

Irie opened his mouth to refuse, but then quickly decided it really didn't matter all that much, and shut it again. He might just have to share a bed with a tiny kid...

"I suppose she thinks something's absolutely hysterical.." He giggled. He then turned to Irie, closing in on his face a little. "So, friend, how about having breakfast with me...?" He linked his arm with Irie's, and began dragging him off. "Feel free to join us, miss." He called behind him to Ryoko.

"Ah, ok!" She replied happily, and followed.

I...I didn't even get to answer...

Soon enough, she made it to Irie's room opening the door she lugged the boy inside and layed him out on the bed. It wasn't long before he woke up and Kuu was startled. An understatement really...he nearly screamed when he found her face two inches from his. Why was she was so close? Misaki had tripped. Quickly covering his mouth before he could she hissed at him, "Geez, I picked you up the street and the first thing you do is nearly scream..? Oh well..."

Akuri stared at her with wide eyes and waited till she removed her hand to speak, "Um...why am I here...?"

"I accidently knocked you out with a rock..."

"Mm, so, what do you normally eat for breakfast, Dear Irie..?"He smirked, seating them at one of the small tables in the eating room.

"Cereal.." He replied nervously.

Giggling, the fox replied, "I do too." After that was said, he went off to bring them both back some.

"I'm gonna go get my breakfast too, Ok, Irie-sama?" She smiled, and hurried after Kiryuu.

S-sama...? He groaned, and his ears drooped. Why on earth...?

So thats what happened... Kuu continued to stare at her with wide eyes. He really couldn't believe this in any sense of the word, sure he'd been through weider things, like lecherous, drunk guests and so on, but still. Misaki frowned playfully, "Keep staring and I might blush." She paused for a second and sniffed the air, "You smell like alcohol....have you been drinking or something...?Whats your name anyways...?"

He shook his head swiftly, "No! Its jus...my brother had some friends over and they were drinking and um...my name is Akuri...."

"Okay Kuu-chan! Lets go introduce you to everybody then!"

Kuu-chan...?Chan...?

Soon, he came back with two large bowls filled to the brim with cereal and milk. "Here you are." He smirked as he sat the bowl down in front of Irie.

...that smirk can't be good...can it? Maybe i should... Try to read his mind. He thought with a sigh. He used his power often, but it had always depended on the person.

He tried prying deep into Kiryuu's mind, but could read nothing. This was strange, because he had never not been able to read someone... His eyes grew wide with shock, and his head suddenly felt as though and arrow of pure pain had been shot directly through it. "Nnn..." He leaned his head on his hands, and took a few breaths.

"Are you quite alright...?" The silver-haired fox asked, grinning.

He merely nodded, staring into his bowl of Fruit Loops.

"Mm, if you say so..." He giggled. "Tell me if there's anything I can do to help..." He smirked again.

Soon after, Ryoko came out also with a bowl of cereal. "Oh, wow. We're all eating the same thing!" She smiled, but then noticed Kiryuu's bowl, then frowned a bit. "Well...almost..." Upon closer inspection, Kiryuu used -chocolate milk- in his Fruit Loops instead of regular milk...

"I think it tastes quite nice..." He faked a hurt tone at Ryoko's frown.

"Misa-chaaaaannn!"

A loud 6 yr old voice and semed to vibrate throughout the entire orphanage. The voice was non too pleased either. Almost as if Misaki had done something bad. Of course, the female twin was cornered to say the least, holding the 'guest' Akuri behind her as if to hide him. Cornered by what you might ask? Extremely curious 6 yr old orphans. One of which thought she was stealing someone who could adopt them away from them. "Eh heh, well you see deary, this person is not here to pick up a new little sister or little brother. Nor does he need an older sibling, so he's just a guest. My word of honour, cross my heart and hope to die."

Not that Misaki's word of honour meant anything of course....

"Ah, I didn't mean anything bad by it..."

Giggling again, he replied, "I was kidding."

"..Oh." She laughed sheepishly. "I suppose I don't know sarcasm..."

"S'alright." He smiled, eating his chocolate Fruit Loops.

Still sitting idly by, holding his forehead, Irie stared irritably into his Fruits Loops. He grabbed his spoon and continuously stabbed them.

Of course, the kids not being smart enough to realize this yet, left her with that explanation. The female twin gave out a relieved sigh, "Ohhh...that was too close."

What was close?He didn't get anytime to ask this though, as Misaki was already dragging him to the kitchen. It was at this moment he realized she had yet to tell him her own name, not that she would for a while now. Suddenly, Misaki came to a rather harsh, in his opinion, stop. Letting go of him, she walked over to her brother, "Now now, don't get mad at the cereal." Perking up, Misaki spoke again, except to everyone, "The guest is awake."

The expression he chose to look up at his sister with wasn't exactly a nice one. He lay his spoon down rigidly, trying to ignore the pounding in his head.

Smirking, Kiryuu spoke up again, "I really don't think you're alright, Irie-kun."

Yea, no s***. Irie thought to himself harshly. He really was hungry, but he couldn't bring himself to eat, for fear of throwing it back up. He lay his head on the cold table top, staring at the guest. Finally, he managed to mumble "What's your name, kid..?"

He just kind of stared at the ground for a second before speaking up, "M-my name is Akuri."

Kuu was playing with the bottom hem of his shirt nervously. Not only did he know none of these peple, but the person who got him into this mess was standing right beside him now. For that matter, she was the one who knocked him out. With friggin pebble!My head must be damaged from last night if that was all it took...Misaki smiled at him, giving her brother, a rather evil smile in the process.

Kiryuu giggled a little. "Look, Misaki-chan, you've scared the poor boy to death..."

Ryoko then smiled, "You don't have to be afraid, Akuri-san."

"....Why are you looking at me like that..?" He mumbled at his sister.

She meerly giggled at her brother's question, and slightly at the others as well, "Oh, no reason."Looking over to Akuri, she smiled again, "I'm scary am I? Oh well. Anyways, I don't think any of us have introduced ourselves to you have we now?I'm Misaki."

Walking over to her brother, she picked up his headand spoke up a little, "And this is my twin, Irie."

Obviously, the female twin was having fun, for that smile of hers still hadn't changed yet. There was probably something about that guest that made her anxious, or excited maybe?

"Irie Kuroi, pleased to meet you.." He mumbled, obviously very annoyed. Although, his headache was slowly going away.

"Kiryuu Touken." He giggled, then smirked. "It's nice to meet you, Akuri-kun."

"I'm Ryoko Kusanagi." She grinned. "Will you be staying long?"

Akuri smiled a small one. Well, atleast they seemed nice. Even the girl named Misaki who'd knocked him out. Speaking up, he answered Ryoko's question, "Oh, I probably shouldn't...my brother will start looking for me soon enough....He's not a morning person..."

When he said that, Misaki gave him a strange look, but left it alone, "Well then, if your not gonna be able to stay we should paly a short game maybe?"

Kiryuu's tails twitched happily at this. "A game?" He smirked. "What kind of game?"

Irie looked to his sister curiously. What kind of game indeed...

Ryoko glanced sadly at Akuri. So far, his brother didn't seem to be very nice.

Misaki's smile...seemed somewhat sadistic. As to why, well, that had yet to be figured out. Speaking up, she looked to Akuri with that same, oddly sadistic smile, "A game of hide-and-seek. Of course, I won't let it be the boring normal one."

This of course meant something entirely dificlt, "Me and Kuu-chan here are going to hide somewhere in town. Its up to you guys to find us."

In town...? That'll take forever!Needless to say, Akuri wasn't sure what emotion to be feeling, for that matter, he wasn't if his was even a good thing.

"I like the idea, just not the fact that it would take all day to actually play this game." He replied bluntly.

"It might be fun...As long as we don't use the whole town..." Irie mumbled.

"But what if his brother goes to look for him? We shouldn't get him in trouble.." Ryoko's ears dropped a bit.

Placing her chin in her hand, she wagged her finger, "All very good points. However, the only places me and Akuri are allowed to hide is the graveyard, the park, and the jewelry shop."She laughed a tad, "It shouldn't take all that long."

Kuu looked at her momentarily, "I hope you mean that..."

"Mm, that's fine with me." Kiryuu replied.

Irie simply shrugged. "Like I have a choice anyway."

"This should be fun!" She smiled, clapping her hands together in front of her.

"...Well, then, Irie-san..." Kiryuu closed in on Irie's face. "We'll look together, alright..?"

"E-eehh.." Irie blushed at the closeness of the other male's face. "A-aahh....alright.." He stuttered.

Okay, Misaki had to admit, as amusing as it was to watch Irie's reaction to Kiryuu, it did slightly piss her off. Grinning she started counted down from 100, "Let the game begin then."

Grabbing Kuu's hand, she ran off. The boy had to chance to react and gave a short yelp as she dragged him off to the desired hiding place.There really was no choice, "Why me...?"

Irie covered his eyes, and began counting. He didn't want to keep poor Kuu waiting any longer than he had to.

"Tell us when you finish counting, so then we can all go look."

Irie nodded in response, not losing track of what number he was on. 10...11...12...

"So." Kiryuu decided to talk to Ryoko a bit while Irie counted. "How long have you known Irie-kun?"

"Mm, since I came here." She smiled.

"How lucky you are." He grinned, resting his elbow on the table, then leaning his face against his hand.

Irie started blushing, trying to concentrate on counting. Gaahh...what the hell are they talking about..? why are they both sooo...

They remained silent, when finally Irie spoke up. "Ok, we can go now..."

"Alright." He linked arms with Irie, and began dragging him off once more. "We can all look together."

Of course, Misaki chose the graveyard to hide. It was one of her favorite places. So many lives to prolong, just so she could speak to the dead people. They always had the interesting stories. Dragging Akuri into a rather damp house-like grave, she giggled, "This'll be fun. Eh Kuu chan?"

"I guess...if you don't mind dead people that is..."

"So, Irie-kun...If you were your sister...where would you hide?" He leaned on Irie's shoulder.

Sighing, he shrugged. "The graveyard, I guess. She loves it there."

His tails stopped twitching momentarily, but then resumed moments later. "The graveyard, huh?"

"Mm.." He nodded.

"Well, let's get going."

Ryoko's ears drooped slightly, but she followed them anyways.

Suddenly, a loud shifted noise came into Kuu's ears and he looked to Misaki quickly. She had moved the stone slabe that closed of the coffin and was now moving to get inside. Looking up at him she motioned for him to come to, "Are you crazy? Thats some dead guy's grave!"

"Shut up and get in Kuu."

With that, she pulled the poor boy in with her and closed the slabe just enough so that it almost looked exactly as it had before. Of course, right about now, Akuri's skin was crawling. They were laying ontop a dead guy in rather small quarters, as they had to twist around a bit to actually fit in at all. Comfortable or not.

Arriving at the gate of the graveyard, Irie stared out over the several acres of tombstones. "She'll be somewhere around here." The air was thick, and a bit misty. It would be a bit hard to see, but Irie was used to this atmosphere.

Patting Irie on the shoulder, he smirked. "Better start sniffing her out then."

Irie looked to him, confused.

"You -are- part wolf, aren't you? That means you have an acute sense of smell." He giggled.

His confused switched to irritation. "And how would you know what?"

"Oh, I have my ways, Darling Irie-kun." He smirked once again, tails twisting along Irie's arms and beginning to snake around his waist.

His face flushed near violet, and he ducked out of their grasp, hopping into the gates of the graveyard. "Let's go!" His voice rose nervously.

Ryoko also blushed. Wh-what was that just now?! K-kiryuu-kun....

Tori looked around the graveyard for that one family headstone. Well, more like a house-like grave, door and all. He'd left his sister just for this it would seem, so it had to be important. Walking inside a grave house, he noticed the coffin was slightly open upon reaching it. Pushing it he saw both Kuu and Misaki and stared at the two as if he'd just seen a ghost.

"W-what the...?"

Misaki placed a finger to her lips and shushed him, Kuu squirming around uncmfortable, "Say a word and be prepared to suffer for days on end..."

He only stared at her like she was insane and nodded, shutting the coffin again. His left ear twitched and he turned to see in the direction of his blind spot, "Just a bat..."

He wandered deep into the graveyard, navigating between the gravemarkers with expertise.

"Can you smell her?" Kiryuu spoke up.

Irie's ears perked, and he looked sharply to the left. "This way..!" He dashed off the way he looked.

Eyes widening, he grabbed Ryoko's hand so she wouldn't get lost, and sped after him. Noticing Irie had stopped a bit ahead, he regained composure, and also stopped beside him, who was once again stopping to sniff the air.

Soon enough, Tori sat down, leaning against the infiltrated coffin. He hadn't left yet, for it didn't feel like a good idea. Besides, if they didn't get out of it soon, he'd be held responsible eventually. This was his grandfathers grave after all.

"Why are you two in there anyway..?"

Misaki's giggled echoed out of the coffin into his ears. Even though it was shut tight, he could still hear her. It was not the cat eared girl who answered him though, it was the boy, who spoke up shakily, "She said it would be a great place to hide...cramped if you ask me though.."

"We'll be out eventually Kuu-chan. Don't worry so much."

He had picked up his sister and Kuu's scents mingled with the scent of another. This worried him. Someone found them... He thought bluntly. His expression was tinged with worry.

"Is something wrong, Irie-kun?" Kiryuu spoke up, seeming delightfully amused for clearly no reason.

"I think someone found them." He replied, ignoring Kiryuu's random spark of amusement.

Ryoko covered her mouth abruptly in shock. "We need to find them then! What if they're in trouble!!?"

Irie simply glanced around all sides, inspecting the area. "I don't feel threatened. Maybe it's not a bad person." He said quietly.
The cat-tailed boy started off in the direction of the scents.

Kiryuu merely smirked and followed Irie closely, beckoning Ryoko to follow. After all, it would be quite terrible if they got separated in such an eerie place.

Occasionaly, Tori would try to converse with them about they're little, "graveyard hiding game" but Misaki would quicky shush him, telling him to act as though he were praying. He would, but really, the half blind boy wasn't a praying type. Either way, he continued. Kuu shifted around, not feeling happy about touching a corpse. Mentally, he reminded himself to take a long shower when he got home. Hopefully no one would be there.

Irie spotted the owner of the foreign scent, and he quickly walked over to him.

Kiryuu followed, grinning from ear-to-ear all the way.

"Hey..I know this is going to be an odd question..but are there two people hiding in that grave...?" He asked bluntly.

"Odd indeed."

Standing up, Tori turned towards Irie, a bored expression on his face. He'd been sitting there much too long, "No."

Misaki nearly giggled when she heard him go along with what she asked of him. Akuri had quickly looked at her questioningly, causing a wide smile to stretch across her face. It was great how this was the guy who found them. He was dependable somehow.

At this, Kiryuu merely laughed. "Surely you don't believe him, Irie-kun?"

The boy shrugged, staring blankly at Tori.

At this point, Kiryuu took it upon himself to check. "If you don't mind, I'm just going to have a look for myself." He giggled, tilting the lid open a bit.

Ryoko Stared in Horror.

A decomposed hand, bone showing through the rotten skin, pushed itself out of the coffin has Kiryuu did that, and a faint 'eep' that was probably Kuu, was heard. Tori had not noticed the hand at all, for it was in his blind spot. Though the eep has caught his attention. Misaki giggled from inside, not touching the skeleton, as she commanded it to start to sit up

At the 'eep', Kiryuu looked back down at the coffin in amusement. "Now now, Misaki-chan. You shouldn't play with dead bodies."

Irie brought his hand to his forehead. "What are you doing, Misaki...?" He asked in a tired voice.

Ryoko half hid herself behind Irie. She had a terrible fear of dead bodies.

The body dropped back down at their words, and she pushed herself up, looking at them mischeviously. Kuu of course had immediatly crawled out of the coffin and hid on the other side, a little terrified of what he'd just seen.

"As Kiryuu sai, I'm "playing" with dead bodies." There was a laugh, "Good job finding me."

Out of the corner of her eye she stared at Tori, the guy who hadn't helped them hide for very long. Needless to say, he did not notice the look.

"Well, we found you, so is this annoying game over ye--"

"Aww, Irie-kun." Kiryuu interrupted. "Have some fun once in a while."

Irie only glared a bit. "I just want to go back."

Irie's words had only proven to piss Misaki off. Getting out of the coffin she pouted somewhat angrily, "If you didn't want to play you should have stayed at that stupid orphanage."

Incoming...Tori thought. This didn't seem like it was going anywhere good. Even Kuu peaked out from behind the grave, somewhat fearful from the anger vibes.

His ears pressed forward in irritation. "You know I don't like graveyards. Maybe I should have skipped out on playing." He growled.

"Now now." Kiryuu spoke up with a laugh, "There's nothing to argue about."

Irie simply glared in his direction once again.

Misaki didn't look even slightly calm right now. Her ears were bent back and she herself was growling. Walking up to her brother, the animal eared girl slapped him hard, "Yeah, you shouldn't have!"

With that, she ran off, finding this as the perfect oppurtunity to escape the orphanage. Now...maybe Misaki had been planning this all along, but even if she wasn't, it worked.

Kuu was startled by what had just taken place and moved out from behind the grave, "W-we should follow her."

Oh if only he knew how smart his idea was. By now, Misaki had already gotten out of the graveyard, unaware of what was about to happen.

Irie half heartedly nodded, rubbing his cheek. He started off in the direction she ran, seemingly in no hurry.

Coming up behind Irie, she pushed him forwards. "You'll never catch up with your sister at that pace!" She exclaimed, sounding irritated. "

Looking behind him with a shocked expression, His steps quickened due to the force of her push.

Kiryuu merely followed, giggling.

Watching as they all left, including Kuu, Tori frowned, placing a hand on his bad eye. Looking over to the grave he stared with a bored expression, "They won't make it in time..."

Somewhere in town Misaki wandered aimlessly. Now truth be told, she had next to no idea where she was or where she was going. Not like that actually matter to her that is. After a bit of running she managed to run into a tall, shortly bearded man. He smiled down at her and picked her up, action that shocked her, "H-hey! What are you--?"

"You wanted to escape your confines all that time correct..? Well, come with me and you'll always remain free..."

The fact that he knew her wishes was creepy enough, but the man was oddly convincing, "Whats your name...?"

"Haku, my lady Misaki."Setting her down he turned to walk away, "Now, child, follow me if you wish for freedom."

Misaki nodded and began to follow. Even though he was strange, there was something alluring about this Haku. This man could possibly get her out of this place forever as well...Would this count as adoption?

Exiting the graveyard, Irie sniffed the air a bit, attempting to catch Misaki's scent once again. Once he believed he had it, he began walking in that direction.

"Irie-kun, don't make Ryoko push you again. You're walking aaaawful slow." He shot him a knowing smirk, giggling.

Looking back nervously, Irie picked up speed a little.

Kuu frowned to himself, mumbling a bit as they continued on, "I have a bad feeling..."

Following Haku, she wondered vaguely if he actually knew her. But then again that would be hard, because she'd never seen him before...Unless...he knew her parents! Catching up, she grabbed onto the back of his shirt, "Do you know my parents!!?"

A laugh followed her words, "Maybe maybe not. Who were they?"

"Yes, me too..."

"Haha, maybe we should hurry. Something dreadful could have happened to her by now." He laughed.

Irie glared back at Kiryuu, but he knew he was right. They really should hurry. Who -knows- what Misaki could get herself into?

Kuu frowned at Kiryuu's laugh. It wasn't much of a joking matter. Especially to him. He'd seen many young woman just barely escape a rape situation in this town.

Misaki shook her head, "They died the day me and my brother were born."

He smiled down at her patting her head, "Ah yes, Kagemaru and Suzuki...they were murdered. Its too bad. They were friends of mine.."

Her face lit up as they continued down the street, and because Misaki had no idea who he really was, she was highly excited, "What were they like?"

"She should be close..." Irie finally spoke up after a few minutes of scent following. "Really close..."

"Well, HURRY. You don't want anything to happen to her, DO you??" Ryoko spat angrily.

"Of course not!!" He whipped around to face her. "Why would I want anything to happen to her?!"

"Alright, alright children..." He stepped between them. "Now's not the time to be fighting. We need to find her, don't we..?"

"Umm..guys? I think we found her."

Kuu pointed ahead at Misaki, standing a mere 10 meters away with the mystey man, talking excitedly.

Haku laughed at her excitement, "Well...your mother was a kind person, but rather naive. Your father was overprotective in ways, but was troubled, so it was natural."

This caused her smiled to widen, but then it went to a frown as he guided her into a coffee shop, "Why did someone murder them?"

Irie's eyes widened. He knew his sister was terribly naive, but would she seriously talk to a stranger?? ..Well, obviously. But this man had known their parents...Could he really be that bad? Cautiously he approached the coffee shop, beckoning the others to follow.

"This should be interesting." Kiryuu smirked inwardly.

Frowning, Ryoko reluctantly followed them.

"I'll leave that for another time...You seem to have guests."

Standing off to the side, he watched Irie and the others. Misaki turned round to look at what he was talking about and frowned deeply. Now she may not have had a problem with Irie's company, but thanks to the arguement, she was still in a foul mood when it came to him. However short the arguement may have been.

Seeing the terrible frown on his sister's face, his ears drooped, and he frowned himself. He hadn't really meant to come off the way he had earlier. Approaching her carefully, he wrapped his arms around her.
"I'm sorry.." He whispered.

"Aaaawwwww." Kiryuu burst out, "Isn't that just the sweeeetest thing?"

Elbowing Kiryuu sharply in the side, she shot a glare in his direction. "Don't ruin the moment, idiot!" She hissed.

"I'm sorry to."

For a moment, she hugged her brother back. Remembering the promise of freedom from Haku, she pulled back. It was bitter sweet kind of smile that made Kuu wish to cry out. He knew what that look meant, and it might mean bad news for Irie, "I'm sorry that I found an oppurtunity to get out of that place."

Behind her, Haku had smirked secretly, knowing that the what lay in her future should she come with him was a very similar fate as anothers...

Taking her hand gently, his ears pressed back. He shook his head. "..I don't like that man..." He said softly. "I don't want you to go with him."

By this time, Kiryuu had already approached the strange man. Though, he didn't say anything. He just stared blankly at him, smirking.

Haku stared straight back, almost amused. He watched as Misaki shook off her brother's grip, "I would've left anyways. This is a perfect chance to discover what happened to mom and dad."

The much older man placed a hand on her shoulder and then walked by out the door, "Deal with famly first, then come find me."

Of course, he knew what her choice would probably be. Even if that choice wasn't told to her brother. While exiting he stared at Kuu pityingly, as though something was going to happen to him.

"You can't just trust anyone who says they knew our parents.. what if -he- killed them?" Of course, Irie had no idea how right he was about this.

"He's strange, Misaki-chan." Kiryuu replied, sounding amused. "I wouldn't doubt it if he ended up revealing to you he's a mass murderer, or something."

"...You have a twisted sense of humour." Ryoko mumbled.

Shrugging, his smirk became more of a smile. "I suppose. But honestly, do you want to go with someone like that? At least allow Irie and I to accompany you."

Misaki sighed, placing a hand on her forehead, "I never said I was going to live with the guy or something. I figured I could dig information ou of the guy, return to the orphanage, get the stack of money I piled up out from underneath Irie's bed and book it out of this place." Pausing she touched on the murderer part, "And if he is a murderer, maybe even their murderer if at all possible, don't you think I'd have a backup plan?"

Kuu decided to pitch in at this point, because the look he'd been given was none too normal, " Just because you have a back up plan doesn't mean it'll work. Spur of the moment things are really hard to think through."

That last part sounded like he'd been in one.

"...You've been storing money underneath my bed...?" Irie asked under his breath.

Before anyone could answer him, Kiryuu chimed in. "Kuu-chan's right, you know." He laughed again. "Plans fall through. There's no way to tell for certain that something will work out...until you've already died or been raped, or maybe even somehow escaped." While explaining this, he seemed to become a bit serious. But it was a hardly noticeable amount.

"Kiryuu-kun's right." Ryoko added.

She knew she was being irrational by now, but Misaki couldn't help the rage that bubble up in the bottom of her stomach and worked its way up. Giving out a grunt she ran out of the coffee shop, mentally trying to sort things out in her head.

Kuu had tried to grab her arm, but the girl slipped through his fingers, and in a way he knew that following her again shouldn't be done for a while. Maybe she needs time to think

"Should we follow her, Irie-kun?"

"No." He replied simply. "She'll come back. For now, maybe we should all just go home.."

"It's been a while since I've been out. I don't wanna go back to the orphanage just yet.."

"Speak for yourself..." Ryoko mumbled under her breath. "I've had enough of being outside for a while."

Kiryuu giggled at this. "I suppose I'm the only one that doesn't want to go."

Irie shrugged. "What about you, Kuu-kun? Shouldn't you be going home..?"

"yes, yes he should be."

A hand gripped his arm tightly, and somewhat fearfully, Kuu looked up to see the face of his older brother, who looked very tired. And very pissed off. No doubt things would not go well once he was home.

"K-kai...I-i a-apologize f-for not t-telling you I was g-going out."

He growled impatiently and started dragging Akuri away, "Apologize all you want. It won't make a difference once we get home."

"Hey, you...What's your problem?" Kiryuu spoke lightly, but it was clear he was none too happy. His ears were pressed forward in an agressive manner, but his facial expression remained calm.

Gah, you idiot...Learn to pick your fights.. Irie thought to himself fiercely. Of course, he didn't want anything to happen to Kuu either, but was it really their place to do anything about it?

The older brother glared at Kiryuu as he shoved his smaller brother along, "My PROBLEM? My problem is that the twerp left the house! Went to scum no less!"

Kai didn't really pay them much mind, though Kuu himself looked back at them, fear written all over his face. They'd just met though...there was next to no hope they would help him. Even if Kai was being openly abusive.

Hearing the way Kai talked about Akuri, and seeing the look of terror on his face seemed to have snapped something inside Kiryuu's mind. He stormed forward, pulling Kuu gently away from his older brother.

Irie and Ryoko merely watched, stunned at Kiryuu's actions.

Even Kuu himself was surprise by Kiryuu's actions, but even more so when he realized his brother was armed. Again. A gun was now pointed at Kiryuu, and Kai seemed even more angry then he had been moments before.

"Hand my brother over, NOW!"

Though Kiryuu had a gun pointed at his face, he didn't seem affected even slightly. He simply stared at the gun, and it's holder as though he were daring Kai to shoot him in the middle of the street. He pushed Kuu behind him gently, in case the gun actually was fired.

Now, this only caused Kai to fire. He had been aiming to kill immediatly with a headshot, but, just as the shot was fired, Kuu had pushed Kiryuu out of he way. And thanks to his older brother's bad aim, instead of a head shot, the bullet dug into his chest. Thankfully nowhere near his heart.

"You brat! That was my last shot!"

Mumbling incoherent things angrily, he reached for his bleeding younger brother.

Before Kai could snatch Akuri away, Kiryuu scooped him up in his arms. "You think after you've shot him, I'd simply allow you to walk away with him?" His voice was flat. Very much unlike his normal condescending tone. "Irie-kun, we obviously need to take him to a hospital."

Eyes wide, he nodded. "Y-yea.." Was all he could really manage.

Kiryuu-kun...was ready to take a bullet for someone he had just met...? That's...insane.

Kai glared at Kiryuu harshly, but turned around, grumbling. Oh, he knew that Kuu would come back. Especially with his camera there. Still growling he spoke as he walked off, "Fine, take the brat. He'll come home soon anyways..."

His younger brother who had heard the comment, just covered his face unhappily, and somewhat shamefully. Akuri knew he would to, all for that dumb camera, and then he'd get sucked into a party, and another hellish night. Now, he was happy that someone had defended him at all, but he wasn't sure why Kiryuu would do such a thing.

He held Kuu protectively in his arms, starting off in the direction of the hospital. "Stay conscious." His voice was still stuck in that flat, un-amused tone. "We'll be at the hospital soon."

"Kiryuu..That was so cool.." Irie smiled a bit.

Glancing at Irie, his normal smirk began to form a little on his face. "Really?"

"No, It was insane!" Ryoko piped up from behind them. "What would you have done if he had shot you!?"

Kiryuu simply laughed. "I'm sure Irie would have taken me to the hospital. Right?"

Irie gave a full smile this time. "Well, it's not like I could ignore a friend bleeding to death out on the pavement."

"..I think you're both crazy." She folded her arms.

"You really think so?" He smiled back at her. "Well...Maybe I am." Ending his sentence with a laugh, he began walking a little faster. "We're almost there. we should hurry."

These people..were so light hearted. Although he had figured that around the moment he met them. Even with the rock smashing into his head. But than there was the pain in his chest, and he stopped thinking about that. Akuri ended up thinking of the wound, his brother and that camera.

Misaki on the other hand was once more in the graveyard, talking to a skeleton she had forced out of a coffin. He was an executed convict, but was surprisingly wise. The dead man told her tales of his false accusement, trying to help her think.

After they had arrived at the hospital, ignoring several people's stares, Kiryuu promptly checked Kuu in. Waving the others to go sit, he filled out the papers at the check-in desk.

As The walked to their seats, Irie shot glares in all directions. Had they never seen a gunshot victim before? Honestly?

After promptly finishing all the necessary information -That the hospital staff would hopefully never find out was fake- Kiryuu came over to them, Kuu-less. "Thankfully, they had room and were able to take him in right away." He wore a relieved sort of smile.

"That's good." Ryoko replied. "Are we ever going to go back..?"

"We can't right now." Irie retorted. "We have to wait for Kuu."

"He'll probably be in here a while. If not a few days. You can go home, if you want, Ryoko-chan."

"..I guess I'll wait here with you guys a bit longer.." She answered, sounding slightly irritated.

"Good." He smiled, obviously ignoring her mood.

Akuri lay on the hospital bed, somewhat confused at all that had gone down. His brother had shot him, and for whatever reason, Kiryuu, who he met only today, had brought him here. But why?! Kuu was just so...

"You should charge him with a gun aimed at his face if you want information from a crook."

The skeleton seemed to smile up at her, and she laughed. Patting his skull head Misaki continued on to say, "Where would I get a gun?"

"Hey, we should go see if we can visit Kuu-chan." Kiryuu spoke, after several minutes of silence.

"Do you think they'd let us?" Irie looked over at him.

"Well, why not? After all, the information I listed said we were close friends of his family..." He giggled.

"I'm actually surprised they believed you." She said, dully.

"Well, it's not like they could do much to question us. Kuu-chan was going to bleed to death."

"..That's true, I suppose..."

"Let's ask a nurse then." Kiryuu said, heading up to the front desk.

After a small and seemingly friendly conversation between the two of them, she gave them Kuu's room number. "Visiting hours aren't over for a while, so we should be alright."

By now, Kuu had close his eyes tiredly. Now, he was exactly asleep, but he wasn't awake either. So if someone were to enter the room right now he would hear everything they said and did. There was still pain in his chest, but not as much as there was when the bullet was still in there.

He opened the door to Kuu's room almost silently, if it weren't for the one damn squeaky hinge. Finching at the sound, he pushed the door open slower. "I think he's asleep." He replied, peeking in the room.

"Well, it couldn't hurt to keep him company anyways, right?" Irie replied.

"You're right." Kiryuu smiled, opening the door to let them in.

Ryoko smiled. "He looks even cuter when he's asleep."

"Isn't that how it is with everyone?" Irie asked.

"Not everyone.." Kiryuu covered his mouth, stifling a laugh. "Some people just look plain silly..."

"...I hope you don't mean me."

"..No, not at all..." He giggled between his words.

"...Somehow..I really don't believe you."

"....Camera...."

Kuu had actually fallen asleep once they arrived, so this was meerly sleep talk. Why camera? Well obviously it must've been an important object to him. Had the three known him longer then this one day, they would have known he was a photographer, and that the camera was with his brother.

"You could rob one off a gun dealer."

She giggled once more, "That wouldn't help at all!!"

At Kuu's word, they all three turned to look at him. "Is he talking in his sleep?"

"Looks like it." Kiryuu said softly. "...cute.."

"Huh?"

"Ah..nothing." He smiled. "we should be quiet so we don't wake him up."

"Yea..." Irie trailed off. Cute? Did Kiryuu really say that just now? ...Weird.

Curling up in a ball, he was unaware of their presence. Mumbling words under his breath, it was quickly apparent that sleep talking was a habit of his."Nii nii....."

Now why would he call his brother..?

Kiryuu looked curiously over at Kuu. "Did he say what I think he said?"

Ryoko looked confused. "I think so.."

Irie looked...curiously confused. "His older brother...maybe he misses him?"

"Why on earth would he miss someone like that?"

"Well..." Irie trailed off, pausing for a moment. "My father's friend, Soujirou told me that even though his mother abused him, he still loved her, simply because she was his mother. Maybe Kuu-kun feels the same way.."

Soon enough, through all their talking, Kuu did wake up. Uncurling, he turned towards them, yawning a little bit. No doubt he was rather surprised to see them, "Your all here?"

Kiryuu laughed. "Of course we're here! We had to make sure you were alright."

"Yea." Irie agreed, smiling.

"How are you feeling, Kuu-kun?" Ryoko also began smiling.

Kuu smiled back at them, not even attempting to sit up right now, "Sleepy."

Considering he just woke up, that was natural.

Kiryuu laughed. "Well, that's natural. ah..Would you rather we left so you can get some sleep?"

Irie nodded. "After all, you need your rest."

"No...you guys can stay if you want."

He didn't mind. It wasn't like they were going to kill him in his sleep or something.

Back at the graveyard, a hand rested upon her shoulder, and the skeleton hid underground. Turning her head Misaki smiled, "Oh, Haku. Its just you."

The taller man gave a queit smile, that was somewhat strange in a way, "What was that you were doing just now?"

Kiryuu smiled. "As long as we aren't bothering you..."

Irie glanced over at Kiryuu. Was it just him, or was Kiryuu softer around Kuu? He was kinder and even slightly....serious. Weird...

Kuu gave out a queit laugh, "Not at all."

Her ears perked and she laughed nervously, "Nothing special."

The man laughed, and the grip he had on her shoulder became tougher, "Really now? Thats not what I saw...its unfortunate really...if only."

A switch blade was pulled out. Noticing its glint she jumped onto the other side of the tombstone, "So they were right.."

The skeleton from before rose from the ground as Haku chucked the knife at her, and it got caught in his rotten flesh. Yelling at her to run, the female twin did just that, quickly being pursued throuh the graveyard, dead hands reaching out at Haku's ankles.

"Irie-kun...What about Misaki-chan?"

Irie's ears perked at the mention of her name. "Oh...right..She's probably out there wandering around getting herself into trouble, or something of the sort.."

"Maybe we should go look for her soon, then."

"No, no. I'll do it myself." Irie repled, "You both should stay here with Kuu-kun."

"Well, what about you?" Ryoko crossed her arms.

"Me? I'll be fine. I'm just going to get her. I'll be back soon!" And with that, he ran out of the room in a hurry.

Sighing, Kiryuu spoke. "I have a bad feeling about this.."

Once again, Kuu had fallen asleep. That was before Irie had left though, so he was unaware of any trouble for the moment.

Haku appeared before her, smirk spread across his face, "You may control the dead, but your power is meerly shadowy imitation of Tasuke's."

Tilting her chin up he laughed. Misaki hissed at him angrily. How dare he call her second rate. Hands tried to grip Haku's feet, but they died again upon touching him. Managing to get out of his grip, she jumped away, continuing to back up, "W-what the hell are you?"

Irie wandered down the street, occasionally sniffing for his sister's scent. Maybe she went to the graveyard again... At this thought, he changed his direction in hopes he could find her somewhere around there.

"Bad feeling..?" Ryoko looked worried. "What do you mean?"

Kiryuu shrugged, smirk beginning to spread across his face. "Exactly what I said."

"...Maybe we should go after him.."

"You think so too?"

She nodded.

"Alright then." Noticing a pen and a small notepad on the table next to Kuu's bed, he tore out a sheet carelessly, scrawling something on it in messy Japanese.

Then, placing a small kiss on Kuu's forehead, he began walking out the door.

....Seriously, what just happened? Ryoko seemed to be frozen in place, staring blankly at Kiryuu.

"..Are you coming?" He stopped in the doorway looking back at her with a smirk.

"Oh, right, yea, I'm coming." She replied, hurrying after him.

Upon approaching the graveyard, Irie spotted Misaki.. and she was very much in trouble.

"I'm your worst nightmare, demon."

Demon?! Misaki hissed loudly, and then turned tail. Maybe, just maybe that boy in the house grave was still there. If he was, she would be able to have help. If he wasn't, she was dead meat. Especially since the dead couldn't help her right now, even if they did try to prevent Haku's following.

Kuu waited until both Ryoko and Kiryuu were out of the room before opening his eyes. Once he was sure they were out of the hospital and gone, he could leave. He had to leave, even if his motives felt shameful.

"MISAKI!" Irie called to her from the graveyard gates. Immediately he began running to her. "MISAKI!"

"Kiryuu-kun...Back there, why did you..." She trailed off.

"Why did I what?" He smirked at her.

"Umm...Nothing!" She gave him a fake smile. "So..Where should we look?"

Kiryuu knew all too well what she wanted to know, and that her smile was false. This only caused to widen his smirk. "Irie-kun said Misaki liked the graveyard, didn't he..? So of course, that would be the first place he would look..."

"..Oh, of course." She replied quickly. ..I don't even remember him saying that...

"Then let's go." He said lightly.

Hearing his voice, she turned her head, "Irie! RUN!!"

Continuing on her straight path, Misaki bee-lined between tombstones and finally reached her destination. Haku was not far from her, but she quickly closed the grave house door and sure enough, there was Tori. Lucky her.

Somehow managing to get by the nurses without being noticed, Kuu headed down the street for his house. It was a long walk, but he did eventually reach the house. opening the door, he discovered his brother really had been waiting, for he was sitting on the couch by the doorway. An angry hand gripped his hair roughly, and Kuu was dragged inside and thrown into a wall, the door closing.

Irie followed close behind her, running with every ounce of energy he had. "You, you're that guy from earlier..." He said, panting.

Soon after, Ryoko and Kiryuu approached the graveyard just in time to witness what happened. "K-kiryuu-kun! Did you see tha--"

He covered her mouth. "Be quiet. Do you want that man to know we're here? Come on." He took her hand gently, leading her around the graveyard, shielded from sight by various trees and bushes. "We have to be quiet, if you want to make it to the place Irie-kun and Misaki-chan are at..."

"A door won't stop me..."

It wouldn't-not for long that is-and he began to break the door down.Come out demon...Misaki stared at Tori, and he stared straight back questioningly, "What mess have you gotten yourself into?"

Mock laughing, she pointed at the door that boomed every few seconds. This was hardly a time for him to be asking that question. Or at least, not in her opinion that it, "Shut up and help."

Kuu let out a pained yelp as he crashed into the wall. His brother wasn't joking around right now. He was seriously gonna kill him. Or put him though extreme pain. A hand grabbed him by the hair again roughly, and Akuri was forced to a stand, and a knife was put to his throat, "You think you can just leave without permission, brat?"

"What do you expect him to do? Magically transport us somewhere? Sorry, but I don't see that happening." Irie replied sarcastically. "I think we're screwed."

"Ok, genius. Since you're so great and all, how do you think we'll get in there -now-?!" She whispered at him harshly.

Kiryuu simply smirked. "I never said we'd be going inside..."

Ryoko's expression quickly changed to one of fear. "No, no, Kiryuu-kun, you can't be serious."

"Oh, but I am." At that moment, he leaped out of hiding ready for a fight. Or at least ready to cause a distraction.

Misaki hissed at Irie, "Thats not what I meant."

Clearly almost anything was able to piss her off at the moment. Ah well, at least she had energy. She wasn't likely to die easily if she didn't have it. Tori let out a sigh, and walking over to the back wall, he kneeled down. Pushing a floor tile out of the way he jumped in, and instantly disappeared. Needless to say, Misaki was stunned, "There's a secret entrance?"

Haku looked over to Kiryuu and smiled. A small laugh escaped his lips. This boy wished to challenge him? Or distract him? Either way, it looked like he wasn't getting his prey today. Maybe just a dead body of an innocent.

The knife dug into his throat a little, "WELL?!!"

Akuri's eyes widened, and small tears pricked at the edge of his vision, "No! I-i'm sorry! K-kai!"

"Sorry isn't gonna cut it anymore."

Producing the beloved camera from his pocket, Kai waved the object in front of his younger brother's face. Kuu made a grab for it, only to be punched brutally. Laying on the floor, he held his cheek, looking up at his brother as Kai prepared to chuck the camera.

Irie shrugged. "Well, do either of you have a plan then?"

Kiryuu's tails flicked back and forth dangerously, as though provoking Haku to attack him.

Covering her mouth, Ryoko ducked down in her hiding place, not wanting to watch what terrible things may happen to Kiryuu.

Instead of answering, Misaki grabbed her brother's hand and jumped into the hole after Tori. He had been waiting and pointed down the tunnel, "This will lead us to the church."

Nodding, she let go of her brother's hand and began to follow the half blind boy.

Haku laughed at Kiryuu's tempting offer. Stepping back, he waved his hands up in a surrendering sort of way. His prey after all had escaped. Haku knew they were no longer in the grave house, and were out of his reach, "My business here is over."

With that, he disappeared into thin air.

"NO!!"

Launching himself at his brother, Kuu latched onto his brothers waist, causing the taller boy to drop the camera. It skidded across the floor and stop far away from both boys. A fist brought itself down on his head seconds later, and he was smashed down onto the floor, "Little slut...you've done it now!"

Irie followed his sister and Tori down the tunnel. He obviously had no idea of what had almost happened outside.

Kiryuu merely frowned. "Well, that's no fun. I thought I could have given him a run for his money." Ending his sentence with a laugh, he called Ryoko out of her hiding place.

Ryoko immediately jumped out. "How could you DO something like that!?"

Kiryuu shrugged. "I didn't want anything to happen to Irie-kun and Misaki-chan. It's not like it could have been helped."

"You're an idiot!" She screeched.

Kiryuu shrugged again, but this time he smiled as well. "I should be getting back to Kuu-chan. You should go back to the orphanage. You look a bit pale."

"Anyone would look pale after they'd seen one of their best friends just instigate their death!!"

Kiryuu continued smiling. "Just go home. I'll see you later on tonight, at dinner."

Ryoko scoffed, turning to leave. "If you make it back alive!" She shot this over her shoulder before storming out of the gates.

He stared ahead blankly for a few moment, but then laughed. She gets upset so easily.
And with that, he also headed for the gates of the graveyard, not knowing that Kuu would not be there awaiting him at the hospital...

They continued down the dark tunnel for quite a while until at least they reached the under ground level of the church. Tori proceeded to break down the wall that was in their way, and they entered from there. The cellar wasn't much to look at, but at least they were safe, "Thanks so much Tori!"

It was total rape. Again. By the end of it all, Kuu had several knew cuts covering his body, and his brother was laughing at him. He could barely move, and he knew his brother would take advantage of this fact. Right on cue, as usual, a hand pulled his limp body up by the hair, and smashed his head into the wall, causing him to cry out, "Thats right! Cry dammit! This is your punishment."

"Yea..." Irie smiled. "Thanks..." He seemed a bit uneasy, for no obvious reason.

Coming across Kuu's room, but seeing he wasn't there, Kiryuu's tails spiked dangerously. Before even giving anything a second thought, he turned tail and dashed back down the halls of the hospital. He had to get out. Now. He had never liked hospitals. Ever. They were too white, and clean. So now that he had no reason to be inside one, he wanted out.

Stepping out of the doors, he was immediately greeted by a light drizzle of rain. Though, he ignored it. After all, he had to go look for Kuu.

Ryoko continued down the street, going back to the orphanage as she was told. She honestly wasn't sure if she would be in trouble for being out all day. Perhaps there were rules against that...
Brushing these thoughts off her shoulders, she hurried along. Not like it would help her much to think about this now.

Tori only nodded to them and began to leave, and Misaki took hold of her brother's hand, "I'm sorry."

Blood. It covered his range of vision. A cut must have formed on his head. His brother continued to smack his head into the wall, and a splattering red mark had begun to grow on it. Thankfully, Kai wasn't doing this hard enough to kill him, just enough to bruise him, make him bleed. Kuu must have grown numb at some point, because his vision began to haze over, even though the banging was keeping him awake, and the pain seemed to lower. But this wasn't at all good.

Irie squeezed her hand gently in reply. "I'm sorry too..." Carefully pulling her into a hug, he sighed. "I'm just glad it's over."

Kiryuu wandered aimlessly down the street, hoping to find Kuu. He wasn't as good at catching scents as Irie, but he could do alright. Not that the rain was helping any.

After walking for what seemed like an eternity, his nose picked up a faint scent. Kuu's blood.

Misaki hugged her twin back. She had no intention of running again. That would probably just end badly.

It was almost over right? That horribly banging was almost over right? No...it wasn't. The torture just changed. The pain was back in full force. Kuu was pulled to a stand and slammed into the wall, and the knife Kai had been holding was cutting open his flesh. IT was about now that Kuu realized he was crying..tears mixed with blood."Nii nii..."

He almost choked on his words, and Kai only smacked him with the blade, "Don't say that like your worth my sympathy."

Pulling away a little, he giggled a bit. "You're a lot of touble, you know that?" Of course, he meant this playfully. "So..you think we can make it back in time for dinner?"

Kiryuu ran, feet pounding against the wet street. The scent began to grow stronger, and stronger, until it began to fade. It was at that point he backtracked, stopping in front of what he assumed to be their house. Obviously, with no thought at all, he climbed the stairs, stopping in front of the door to ring the doorbell obnoxiously. Hopefully he had some plan other than this?

Upon arriving back at the orphanage, suprisingly no one had asked her where she had been, or anything. She simply retreated into her room to wait for everyone else to come home.

Misaki laughed at that, and nodded cheerfully, "Of course!"

Kai twitched at the annoying sound. He yelled angrily at the door, pushing his brother to staircase in case the person came in, "Go the hell away!"

Shoving Kuu onto the staircase, he motioned for his brother to go upstairs. Akuri grunted painfully, but tripped on the second step, and was promptly punched. Oh how he wished he could've just grabbed his camera and run. Blood pouring down his face, he once again attempted to climb the stairs, but to no avail. He fell face first the moment he stood.

Irie then ruffled her hair playfully, and took her hand. "We should get going then."

Upon hearing Kai's irritated voice, he continued ringing the doorbell out of amusement. He always did enjoy the utterly annoying, obnoxious chiming of them.

Misaki nodded, and then started heading for the exit to the church, just as Tori had done moments before.

"Move it!!"

More orders the beaten Kuu couldn't fill out. In his current state he couldn't do much of anything then just lay there. Needless to say this made Kai angry, and, once again, the younger brother wa grabbed by the hair and thrown into a wall.

Since Kai obviously wasn't going to open the door, Kiryuu simply let himself in. Upon entering the room, Kiryuu's senses were immediately assaulted by the strong stench of Kuu's blood.

A growl emitted from the older male's throat, and upon noticing Kiryuu had entered, he yelled, "Why the hell are you in here?!"

Kuu, who was sitting against a wall, reached out for the camera that was only a foot away with his bloody hand. He hardly had the stength do this though, so his arm fell back to the side, his eyes pained and glazed over, blood covering one of them. At the fact someone was here he tried to look aroun the corner, but couldn't move his neck enough.

Kiryuu merely looked over at him, calm as could be. Though, his eyes expressed the hate he had welling up inside of him. Stepping over to the staircase, he saw how bloodied up Kuu had become. His eyes widened, and it took all he had to not just knock out Kai right then and there. He also noticed Kuu's camera lying defenseless on the floor.

"K-kiryuu...."

Kuu had managed to say his name before finally passing out. There wasn't any banging to keep him awake now. It was more relaxing to see that someone kinder then his brother was her. Someone who wouldn't nearly kill him. That was enough to help him fall unconcious. Kai on the otherhand was not relaxed in the least, and aimed a punch at Kiryuu's face.

Kiryuu merely caught his hand, squeezing it tightly. "I wouldn't advise you to start anything with me.." His ears pressed forward, and his tails twitched, fur spiking out violently. Still holding onto Kai's hand, he bent over to pick up the camera. "You've done enough." With that, he pushed Kai out of his way, once more scooping Kuu up in his arms.

Kai had meerly grunted and let Kiryuu leave with him. The boy had already recieved a punishment. Kuu could just barely feel himself being picked up, but he was mostly at a blank right now. There was the vague taste of blood in his mouth and Kiryuu's scent was mixed in wih the blood smell to.

Leaving the house, he smirked triumphantly to himself. Slamming the door, and ringing the doorbell a few more times with his tails, he giggled. "Kuu-chan...are you awake?" He honestly wasn't expecting an answer, but he figured he might as well try. "I got your camera for you." His smirk faded to a soft smile.

For only a moment, Kuu had managed to retain conciousness, and opened his eyes only slightly, "Thank you Kiryuu...."

His eyes did not remain open much longer though. The pain and blood loss had gotten to him big time. It almost fet like his brother was seriously trying to kill him. Then again, it felt like that everytime the 'punishment' began.

After Kuu lost consciousness, Kiryuu's smile faded. It wasn't really a frown, but it definitely wasn't an expression of happiness either. He held Kuu gently to his chest, and continued on the long walk back to the orphanage.

"Hey, look, we're finally back.." Irie smiled. "I wonder if the others made it back yet."

Misaki smiled and nodded. For once she was actually a bit happy to be back here at the ophanage. Even if it was the source of all evil for her, "I hope so."

By the time he reached the orphanage, the rain had almost stopped. He stepped into the orphanage halls, noticing Irie and Misaki had recently arrived as well. "I'm back.." He said, a bit wearily.

Irie's eyes widened. "What happened..?"

Misaki was shocked at Kuu's state and immediatly ran off shouting something about, bandages, wet cloths, and band-aids. She had a vague idea what had happened, considering she still remebered the way he talked of his brother when they first met. Motherly instinct told her to go get healing objects the moment trouble was spotted.

Kiryuu smiled a little at Misaki's enthusiasm. "Well..When I had gone back to the hospital--after trying to help you and Misaki-chan at the graveyard,- Kuu was gone.. So, I went searching for him. I eventually picked up the scent of his blood, and found his house.." After that he shook his head. He never wanted to see something like that again. Hugging Kuu to his chest gently, he slowly began smiling again. "We need to keep him here with us for a while. I don't care what the owner says."

Irie nodded. "I'll share my room with him, If I need to."

Kiryuu giggled in response. "No, that won't be necessary. Besides, I don't want use your poor bed anymore than your sister already has..."

Irie's eyes widened. "Wh-what? Has she done more things to my bed??"

Kiryuu merely giggled again, and began walking to the hall where the boy's rooms were.

"Wait! Waaaaiit!! Tell me, Kiryuu-kun, Tell me!!" Irie chased after him.

Misaki had ended up at Irie's bed for lord knows what. Reaching a hand underneath she began digging around and eventually produced a hug first-aid kit. Running off with it, she quickly found Irie and Kiryuu and held it high above her head, "I got the first aid kit!!"

Now if Irie just happened to look at what way she'd come from, he would discover Misaki had come from the bedrooms.

Kiryuu threw Irie a knowing look, that seemed to say 'Yes, she did indeed just come from your room.' But then he proceeded to smile at Misaki. "Follow me to my room with it, please."

Noticing the smirk, he dared to inquire his sister about where the first aid kit may have come from. "N-ne, Misaki...That didn't happen to come out from under my bed, did it..?"

Feeling there was need to keep it hush hush, Misaki giggled. Taking her brother's hand she began to follow after Kiryuu. She gave a rather mischevious nod, "Yes, yes it did."

Oh there were many other things under his bed then wads of cash and an oversized first-aid kit. Like a baseball bat with nails driven itno for instance. And rotten pizza...

"My poor bed.." He replied quietly.

"Thank you, for all your help." Kiryuu replied, stopping in front of his room. Realizing his hands were full, he used his tail to pull his key-on-a-string out of his pocket, and unlocked the door. He then went inside, flicking the light on with one of his tails.

The first thing Irie noticed about Kiryuu's room, was it's insanely flawless cleanliness. Nothing even seemed to collect -dust-.
"Do you even live in here?" Irie blurted out.

Kiryuu looked back at him with a smirk as he lay Kuu on his bed. "Why, of course...Where else would I go at night to sleep..?"

MY Room maybe. Since you seem to know so much about it.. He thought harshly.

Misaki ignored the two and walked to the bedside, opening up the rather large first aid kit. The first thing she did of course was wipe the blood off his face and find the cut that was on his head. It was a rather long cut, but thankfully was not bleeding anymore, unlike the two other cuts on his face. For those smaller cuts she placed a square band-aid there and proceeded to bandage the head wound,"I hope he doesn't have a concusion.."

Noticing several rips all over Kuu's shirt,she proceeded to remove it shamelessly. There were old scars there, with new wounds overlapping them. Whatever had happened had obviously been going on for quite a while.

Kiryuu sat beside the bed, eyes flicking from one scar to the next.

Irie flinched, looking away from Kuu's body. His brother did this to him...?

Leaning against the bed, He studied Kuu's scarred body. He stared on, expessionless. Though his disposition was calm, One thing seemed to throw the entire picture off. Tears had begun to form in his eyes.

Glancing over at him, Irie noticed this quickly. "K-kiryuu-kun..are you crying?"

Realizing he had been spoken to, he looked up. "Am I?" He then blinked, causing the tears to roll down his cheeks.

"...." Irie frowned.

Continuing on with her work silently, Misaki wondered why Kiryuu was crying. Did he...really like Kuu that much? "Nii nii...."

More sleep talk. But why his brother again? After something so horrible had happened how could he still say that so kindly? Shaking the thought away, she began to bandage Kuu's top half. Upon finishing she realized there were still more wounds but in an area she herself being female could not go, "Hey Irie, Kiryuu..do you think one of you could do the rest? Kuu's injuries go farther down then just his chest."

Kiryuu smiled lightly, wiping away his tears. "Yes, Misaki-chan. Thank you. I can take it from here, but Irie has to stay and help."

"E-ehh? Why me?"

Kiryuu giggled giving Irie a smirk. "Because I said so."

"...Gah, fine."

He found Irie's lack of defiance amusing.

Misaki meerly smiled, giggling a little. Pating her brother on the back, she exited he bedroom, closing the door behind herself. Vaguly she wondered what would happen if Kuu was caught sleep talking again.

After Misaki had left, Kiryuu began removing the rest of Kuu's clothes.

Irie's face tinted pink, and he looked away. "Why am I here again?" He asked, sounding a bit irritated.

"Because I need someone to keep me company." He began cleaning up Kuu's wounds.

Wandering down the halls, the female twin eventually ended up at the kitchen. Seeing as dinner had yet to be put on, she scrambled inside and set about making it for all the orphans. Not lke the maids would mind anyways.

Now, had Kuu been left untouched after being injured, he would not have woken up anytime soon. Unfortunatly, he had been, so with another 'nii nii', his eyes slowly opened.

Kiryuu's ears pressed forward a bit. "I'm sorry, I'm not your brother." That being said, he continued to clean up Kuu's wounds.

Irie's ears pressed down. I hope Kiryuu's not mad..

Realizing he'd gone and called for his brother again, Kuu quickly covered his mouth. It was stupid of him to keep doing this, an this Kiryuu had heard it again. He did not sound happy either I have to remember that Kai isn't the same anymore...

After he had finished the cleaning, he pulled gauze and band-aids out of the first aid-kit.

"Ne, Kiryuu-kun..."

He looked up. "Yes?"

Irie looked from Kuu back to Kiryuu. "No, nothing. Never mind."

Seeing Irie had nothing to say, he continued bandaging silently. He didn't look angry, but with Kiryuu, one never knows.

It took Kuu a few seconds to realize there were bandages all over him. So they were helping me out...they've seen all the scars now haven't they?He also noticed that Misaki ws gone. She must have been embarressed or something

Finishing up the work quickly and skillfully, he stood. "You should get some rest. I have no doubt in my mind that today was terribly stressful for you." He closed up the kit, handing it to Irie. "You should put this back under your bed."

"Meh, I suppose." He replied, taking it. "I'll see you in the morning, then."

"Yes. I'll eat breakfast with you again tomorrow.."

Irie smiled. "Ok."

Kiryuu watched Irie leave, then turned back to Kuu. "You can have my bed. I'll sleep on the floor."

A small frown formed on Kuu's lips, and painfully he pushed himself up. Looking to Kiryuu he spoke queitly, "A-are you sure..? I could leave."

Well, theoretically speaking he could. If all pain from movement would stop for about 5 seconds o so.

Kiryuu shook his head. "No." He walked across the room to his closet, opening it. He took out a stack of blankets, and tossed a couple playfully at Kuu. "I don't want you to leave, ok? Well...Unless you'd like to leave." He began laying some blankets down beside the bed for himself. "You can stay here as long as you want. I'll keep you safe."

Catching the blankets, Kuu nodded. He really didn't want to go. The part where Kiryuu said he'd protect him though..that really made him happy. And yet at the same time, he almost frowned. Either way, there was still a light blush on his face, and covering himself up with the blankets he spoke, "Thanks...I'll stay. Just...if you get uncomfortable on the floor, you don't have to stay there."

Kiryuu giggled. "Are you inviting me to sleep in the bed with you?"

Irie wandered down the halls alone, stomach growling. Man, I forgot how hungry I was... Straying towards the kitchen, he found Misaki at work cooking something. He laughed. "Hey, what are you cooking?"

Misaki looked over her shoulder at him and grinned, stirring a pot, "I'm making potato soup, roast beef, and toast."

Just a bunch of random things one could say, but it was alright. The orphans liked mostly any kind of food. She thought these particular foods would be suitable.

A huge blush crossed Kuu's face at that, "O-only if you w-want to"

This made Kiryuu smile. Really smile. His tails flickered happily as he crawled onto the bed beside Kuu. "You know, we should at least have dinner before going to bed." He laughed a bit.

"Oh, wow!" He smiled. "Sounds great. I guess I'll just hang around and wait. If you need any help, I'll do my best."

Misaki grinned and gave hm the thumbs off, putting the lid on the pot, "That'd be great."

A small, slightly nervous laugh escaped Kuu's lips and he nodded. Now that Kiryuu mentioned food would be a good idea. He was a hungry, "Food would be good..."

"Then let's go." He smiled. "Though...You might want to put your clothes back on..." He followed this with a giggle.

Irie took a seat in a nearby chair, awaiting any instructions he may receive. This also allowed him time to daydream, and think about all the strange things that had happened that day. Hide-and-Seek in a graveyard, meeting so many new people..coming in contact with a mysterious stranger set out to kill them, and finally, Kiryuu had rescued a boy from his abusive brother.. Today had been an interesting day indeed. It was at this point that he began examining cracks in the ceiling. They always seemed to make funny little shapes the way they sometimes intersected.

At that, Kuu`s blush only served to deepen. Looking for his clothing, he grabbed it and quickly dressed himself. Unfortunately, the movement was much too quick, and the pain in his head came back, causing him to drop to the floor.

Eventually, Misaki had finished the dinner. Turning her head she called to her brother, ''Could you go get the plates and call everyone down?''

At first, he hadn't noticed her call, but eventually it hit him. "Oh, right, yes." He laughed nervously. "Sorry, I zoned out there a bit." Quickly, he had set out all the plates, and rushed off to go retrieve the others.

Kiryuu's eyes widened a bit, and he rushed to Kuu's side. "What's wrong..?" He asked in a calm voice, pulling Kuu into his arms again.

One hand clutching his still hurting head, Kuu laughed nervously, trying not to make it seem like he was in much pain at all, ''J-just a headache.''

His sister only laughed proceeded to turn of the stove. Taking the lid off the potato soup she smiled. It looked perfect. Pulling the door to the stove open and took out the roast beef. Misaki then set out to the task of filling each plate with food.

He returned moments later, everyone else streaming behind him. "Alright, everyone get to your seats." He called after them happily.

"It's more than a headache, isnt it...?" He stood. "I can bring you back something to eat, If you'd like." Kiryuu's voice at this point sounded more concerned than anything, which was a switch from his usual sarcasm.

"N-no...its fine. R-really."

Standing up almost shakily, Kuu gave a small smile. He really didn't want Kiryuu to worry about him if it meant running little tasks for him.

Misaki smiled at her brother, and removed two particular plates from the counter. These were for Kuu and Kiryuu, for both boys had not yet come down, "You guys can eat now. I`ll bring these up to Kiryuu and Kuu."

Kiryuu shook his head. "I have a mind enough to know when someone's not well. But it you think you can..." Holding him steady, he frowned slightly.

"Alright." Irie smiled as well, watching his sister leave.

I hope Kuu-kun is alright...Those scars looked pretty brutal..

Kuu only gave a nod, and started for the door, ignoring any and all pain he was feeling. Upon reaching the door though, a knock was heard, "Hello?"

It was Misaki. Pulling the door open, she stepped in, smiling widely to see Kuu up at last, " Kuu! Your up, thats great. I brought you guys dinner."

"Ah..thank you so much, Misaki-chan. We were just about to head down, but it seems you've saved us the trouble." Kiryuu said, smiling.

Ryoko awoke, rolling over to look at the clock. "Oh...I guess I fell asleep.." She mumbled mindlessly to herself. "It's dinner time..." Her stomach growled quietly as she sat up. "Guess I should go get something to eat..."

With that, she left her room.


"Ah, Ryoko-chan!" Irie called to her, seeing her appear in the doorway. "Nice to see you've decided to join us for dinner!"

This seemed like an odd mood for Irie. She had never really seen him so enthusiastic about anything. Had spending a day with people actually done so much to change him?

Misaki just grinned, "Your welcome!"

Handing one of the plates to Kiryuu, she handed the oher to Kuu, who gripped it firmly. Waving, she exited the room so she could get her own dinner. Afterwards, Misaki would leave the orphanage with something in hand.

Kuu walked slowly to the bed, sitting down and balancing he plate on his lap. It would be difficult to eat any other way. Picking at the food with the fork Misaki had left on the plate, he took a bite. Upon trying to swallow though his face contorted in pain and Kuu bent over slightly, forcing the food down.

"Kuu-chan..?" Kiryuu sat beside him on the bed. "What's wrong...?" His ears bent back.

She smiled. "Yea, sorry.. I fell asleep once I got back."

Irie laughed a little. "I figured."

"What's so funny?" Her cheeks tinted red.

"Oh, nothing, nothing." He smiled again. "Just eat your dinner."

Coughing a little bit, he noticed blood and quickly closed his hand so Kiryuu would not see, "I don't think I can eat dinner tonight...."

Upon making it down the staircase, Misaki noticed Ryoko and her brother. Grinning she took a few steps forward and then leaped onto Ryoko's back, getting off quickly after giving her a noogie, "Hope you like dinner!"

Kiryuu narrowed his eyes a bit. "What are you hiding on your hand?" Honestly, he knew it was blood. He could smell it. Kuu's blood, however, had a stronger scent to him for some reason.

Ryoko laughed, rubbing her head. "Yea, I will!" She was so hungry, even mud sounded better than nothing, so surely she would enjoy Misaki's cooking.

Irie also laughed a little. Everyone seemed so happy right now, It would have been hard to not be happy himself. No matter how worried he happened to be.

Instead of sitting with everyone for dinner, Misaki took her plate and hurried on up the stairs again, heading to her brother's bedroom. Finally she had the courage to use the money she'd saved up.

Obviously it would be very hard to get anything past Kiryuu. Opening his hand so the blood could be seen, Kuu decided not to look at him. I'm so weak....

Kiryuu gently took hold of his hand. "We should take you to a doctor tomorrow..." He spoke in a soft, sad tone. "I don't want you to be in pain."

Irie watched her hurry away with her food. "Ah, it seems she's had enough of our company for today, Eh, Ryoko-chan?" He ended it with a small laugh.

"Yea, I guess so." She replied, smiling. "She really is a good cook though."

Giving Kiryuu's hand a bit of a squeeze he only nodded. Maybe he really did need a doctor. But then again, all those other times, he'd been fixed up by his brother. Well...most of the time anyways. Placing the plate on the floor, he gave out a quiet sigh.

Speed eating her dinner on the way to Irie's bedroom, she fnally finished upon reaching it. Stepping inside she set the plate down on the floor and made her way to the bed. Kneeling over she dug around underneath, pulling out a bookbag, no doubt filled with cash. Strapping it onto her back, she booted out of there and headed for the exit of the orphanage.

"But for now..." He smiled. "We should get some sleep. I'll take you bright and early in the morning, alright?"

After finishing her dinner, she put it in the sink, and wandered back past Irie. "I'm still really tired, so I'm just gonna go back to bed, ok?"

"Ah, alright." He waved a bit, "See you in the morning then. Oyasuminasai!"

"Oyasuminasai."

Finishing his food, he also placed his dish in the sink, and began to head to his own room. After all, he was exhausted. Too many things had occurred that single day.

Nodding once more, Kuu let go of Kiryuu's hand, crawling over to the top of the bed and getting under the covers. He really was quite tired actually. You didn't sleep while unconcious, you just couldn't move at all.

By now, Misaki had made it all the way to the apartment complexes, which coincedently were only to streets away. Coming on inside she immediatly headed for the manager's office and knocked. She was called in and the man stared at her oddly, "What?"

"I want an to buy an apartment."

Setting down the money from her backpack she smiled. His eyes widened and he hastly took the correct amount. Digging in the table drawers, he pulled out a key, "Room 23, second floor."

Pulling the blankets back a bit, he also crwled under them. "Oyasuminasai, Kuu-chan.." Placing a kiss on Kuu's forehead, he lay on his back. "Sleep well."

Once she made it back to her room, she immediately flopped on her bed, not even bothering to get under the covers. It was too warm anyway.

Irie also crashed upon reaching his room. Rough day.

By now of course, Kuu was partially numb to the world, being half asleep and all. But despite not feeling the kiss, he heard Kiryuu's words, "Good night...."

Soon enough Misaki reached her room and grinned, unlocking the door and walking inside. There was a coach and a table at one wall, with a small Tv sitting around that area, while a kitchen was placed neatly behind that. A short hall led to the bathroom, and a bedroom at the end of the hall she discovered. Misaki also found that almost everything had been left as though the previous owner never left, except for personal objects, nothing was really gone. Making sure to lock her apartment door, she made her way to the bedroom, and found there were sheets she could sleep under.Thank goodness...I'm so tired! Closing the bedroom door behind herself, she dropped the bookbag and crawled into the bed to sleep.

Kiryuu's smile was somewhat of a sad one.

Perhaps he didn't realize...

Closing his eyes, he decided that it was best to just sleep. Kuu was safe now, after all. At the moment, there just wasn't anything to be worrying about.

At some point in the night, Kuu had ended up dreaming about his camera being destroyed, and his mother's photo being burned. Thinking he might still be at home, Kuu shot up, looking around in a scared manner, "My camera....K-kai?"

Hearing Kuu's voice, Kiryuu sat up as well. "Your camera's on the desk.." He spoke in a calming tone. "And your brother's not here. Do you remember? You're with me.."

At this point, Irie also awoke. He never was much for sleeping, after all. He didn't exactly like it. No dreams, no thoughts. To him, it merely felt as though he was swimming in a black abyss. Not a very appealing thought, is it?

Rubbing his forehead irritably, he felt around on his side table for his lamp. Switching it on, he also reached for a book and his reading glasses.
It'll probably be a while before I get back to sleep...

Covering his face with his hands, Kuu slowly began to calm down, "Oh, oh..y-yes..I remember. S-sorry for waking you Kiryuu."

Giving out a queit sigh, he really was glad he wasn't home. That dream could have been real..

"No, please don't worry about it. It's no trouble. But you should try and go back to sleep now, alright?"

Not much later, Irie began dozing off again. Just because he disliked to sleep never meant he didn't need it.

"Right...right.."

Laying down, Kuu attempted to go back to sleep from that little nightmare. Morning would come very soon...

And so morning did. Misaki rose from the new bed, yawning rather loudly. It was odd waking up in a new place, but it nonetheless felt normal. She knew that once Irie realized she wasn't anywhere in the orphanage, and probably hadn't been since last night, he might freak out a little, but that was the least of her worries. It was time to get a job.

As soon as the sun peeked through his window blinds, Kiryuu awoke slowly. It was obviously morning, and he remembered almost immediately he had to take Kuu to the doctor. He slipped out of bed carefully, to try and not wake Kuu. He had to change clothes, after all. He couldn't run around in the same ones he wore the previous day.

Irie awoke to a sharp stabbing feeling in his stomach. Upon further inspection, he found it to be the book he fell asleep reading. Glasses askew, he crawled out of bed, placing them on the table.

I've gotta stop sleeping on my stomach like that... He thought, rubbing the spot that had been previously stabbed.

Despite Kiryuu's attempt to not wake him up, the animal eared boy did awake. Slowly, but he did. There had been no more nightmares for him thankfully enough. Uncurling, Kuu sat up, giving out a tiny yawn, "...morning..."

Breakfast. That was the big dilemna now. Misaki had forgotten to bring food with her. Letting out a sigh, she pulled out her extra set of clothing from the backpack and dressed herself quickly. Soon enough, she was heading out the door of her apartment, locking the door behind herself before heading downstairs, "Guess after I attempt to get a job I'll go to the grocery store.."

By this time, Kiryuu had already begun changing. "Ah, Ohayou, Kuu-chan." He said cheerfully as he shamelessly began stripping himself of his clothing.

Changing his clothes quickly, he headed out of his room for his normal stroll.

Noticing Irie out of the corner of her eye, she hurried to greet him. "Ohayou, Irie-kun!"

He whirled around upon hearing her voice. Realizing who it was, he greeted her back. "Ah, Ohayou, Ryoko-chan. You're up early.."

Rubbing his eyes tiredly, Kuu looked over to Kiryuu, eyes immediatly widening. A deep blush spread across his face and he promptly looked away.

Making her way down the street, Misaki eventually found the jewerly store Soujirou worked at. Maybe he would like some help around the shop... Pushing on the front door, she stepped inside, "Soujirou?"

Noticing Kuu's blush, he laughed. "Is it that embarrassing, Kuu-chan?" His voice muffled a bit as he pulled his shirt over his head.

She shrugged. "I don't really think it's that early."

"Ah." He smiled. "So, should we wait for Kiryuu-kun?"

"Yea." Smiling, she looked towards the boy's hall. "Maybe we should go get him ourselves."


Sticking his head out of the back room, he smiled. "Aahhh, Misaki-chan! It's been quite a while since you've come to visit. Is Irie-kun with you as well?"

Kuu only gave a quick nod. The blush remained and he just looked down now. It really was embarressing to him.

Misaki gave a little giggle. Shaking her head, she spoke up, "No, Irie isn't with me. He probably doesn't even know I'm here yet."

Stepping farther in she continued on, "I was actually here to ask if I could have a job."

Kiryuu giggled, continuing to change.

"Ah. Let's go then." Irie smiled. "After all, breakfast should be up soon."

Nodding, she headed off with Irie to Kiryuu's room.

"A job, Misaki-chan? You're so young." He laughed. "What on earth do you need a job for?"

There was a nervous key to her laugh as Misaki thought of how to answer that. She wasn't quite sure how Soujirou woud take it after all, "Well, I kinda snuck out of the orphanage and bought myself an apartment...so I'm gonna need a job to support myself you see...."

Noticing his camera, Kuu picked it up, pulling out the picture that was still inside it. His mother...she was such a beautiful lady. Now if only she was still here.

"Ah, so that's wh--...." His eyes widened a bit. "... Wait, You did what?"

Sitting beside him, he placed a hand on his shoulder. "Is that your mother?"

Misaki laughed nervously, happy that at least he hadn't yelled at her. Walking over to him, she placed both hands on his shoulders, "Too shocking?"

Looking up at Kiryuu he nodded. It was so strange not having a mom, becaue his father was almost never there. It was like his brother was the only authority, but a cruel authority really.

Soujirou wasn't mad at her, no. But he was slightly confused. "You left your brother behind?"

He smiled. "She was very pretty." Kiryuu had already assumed she was no longer around. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been in such a situation with Kai. Then, a knock was heard at the door. "Ah, one moment!" He called. Standing, he patted Kuu's head, and then headed to answer the door.

"Ohayou, Kiryuu-kun."

"Ohayou, Kiryuu-kun!"

"Ah, Ohayou, Irie-kun, Ryoko-chan. I suspect you're here to invite us to breakfast?"

"Well, of course. Ohayou, Kuu-kun." Irie waved to him.

Ryoko waved as well. "Yes, Ohayou, Kuu-kun!"

"Ah, I'm sorry, but I have to take Kuu-chan to the doctor this morning." He smiled softly. He did feel bad abandoning going to breakfast with his friends, but Kuu's health was more important at the moment.

A blank stare. Misaki didn't have much of an answer for that one except for one, "He probably wouldn't have come anyway. In fact, I have sneaking suspicion I might even have gotten yelled at."

Yeah...she wasToo bad Kai wanted everything they knew of her to dissapear. Watching Kiryuu get up to open the door for the visitors, he just kind of smiled. Hearing his name be called, Kuu looked up to see both Ryoko and Irie in the doorway, "Good morning."

Turning to smile at Kuu, Kiryuu spoke, "You ready to go to the doctor?"

"Ne, Kiryuu-kun. Can I come along?" Irie asked, poking the other in the back.

"Hey, me too! I wanna go too."

"Eh.. Only if Kuu-chan doesn't mind.." He looked back at Kuu for his answer.

Soujirou only sighed. "He'll be heartbroken when he finds you've left him there." The older man walked over to his desk, and picked up a stack of papers. He filed through them with his fingertips, finally stopping on one, and pulling it out. Holding it out to her, he replied, "Fill this out, and I'll hire you."

"If he wants to come, I'll pick him up."

She knew some of her choices weren't the best, but Misaki did what she did because she hadn't been able to stand it there. Had Irie been clued onto her plan, she knew he might have wanted to come along, or maybe have even been a little less then keen on it..

"Alright. Oh, and Soujirou? I'm sorry."

"Yes."

Upon hearing both teens request, Kuu gave a smiled, laughing lightly, "I don't mind at all."

He smiled softly. "Why are you apologizing, Misaki-chan?"

Kiryuu laughed, his normal smirk appearing on his face. "We should get going then. If we make it early, they might take you without an appointment."

Irie smiled. "Thanks for letting us come along."

Smiling back, she spoke once more, "For not bringing Irie."

A frown spread across now though. Misaki wondered about that..Maybe Soujirou might have known him? After all, the older man did know her parents, "Soujirou...did you ever know a man named Haku?"

At the part about leaving, Kuu sat up, and looked at his clothes. Now what on earth would the doctor think of this condition? It had soaked up blood and there were cuts all over the place, even more so on his pants, "...what am I gonna do about this...?"

Soujirou seemed to flinch at the mentioning of Haku. That was a name he had never expected to hear again. But now he'd come in contact with them...
Nodding his head slowly, he looked to her with utmost seriousness. "He's the man that killed your parents."

"Ah...That might be a problem..." He looked thoughtful. "Oh, I know. Why not just wear some of my clothes?"

"...Because your clothes are too big for him..."

"Well, Yours aren't any smaller, Irie-kun." He giggled.

"..True."

With that, Kiryuu hopped over to his closet, pulling out a random purple t-shirt and a pair of black shorts. "It's been a while since I've worn either of these, so don't worry, they're clean."

Her eyes widened at that. So they were really right? This doesn't sound like a good situation...If she'd known how long Haku had persisted in trying to kill her mother, she might have thought a little about being screwed over. The word demon he used seemed to be pretty out there, "Why would he kill them?!"

"Okay."

Taking the clothes from Kiryuu's hands, Kuu noticed a bathroom in the corner of the room. Walking over to it he stepped inside and closed the door behind himself. I wonder why he didn't use this, this morning....Stripping himself of his clothing he looed at the shirt and pants, These are pretty big...I hope they fit.

Tori was up and about at this time, and was currently on his way to his sisters room. He'd waken up a little later then usual this morning, so it was best to check on her. Upon walking in though, he heard her moan loudly, "B-brooooother...help..."

The elder brother's eyes widened and he hurried to her bed side, "Mori, are you alright?!Is it an attack?!"

The small girl coughed, trying to get her bearings. Mori was immediatly scooped up by her brother, small blankets and all, and he booted out of the room.This is bad, this is bad, this is bad!!! Soon enough he found himself outside of thehse and zipping down the streets. Mori needed a doctor immediatly!

Soujirou shook his head. "I'm not sure. But I think he had been after Suzuki for a long time.."

Smirking to himself, he giggled a bit. "I honestly don't think my clothes will fit him at all..."

"...Then why offer to let him wear them..?"

Kiryuu giggled again. "Well, It's not like we could offer to let him wear a girl's clothes." He was obviously referring to Ryoko.

"W-well...hey, why not?! I think he'd look cute in my clothes!"

"Haha, but you're also too tall."

"...." Her ears drooped, and she sighed. "Yea, you're right.."

Misaki's ears drooped and she gave out a sigh, anger starting to bubble in the pit of her stomach. She always had been very rebellious, and the thoughts she had at the moment went against a lot of her morals. Heading out the door she said, "Well, I'll finish these today and get back to you tommorow, okay?"

Slipping into Kiryuu's clothes, he found they were indeed very big on him. The sleeves went past his fingers, and the pants...They weren't too bad. He wouldn't trip in them, but they were pretty damn big. Adjusting all the other things he needed to, Kuu stepped out of the bathroom and smiled nervously, I can see it now...

"T-tori...? You c-can stop c-carrying m-me...I'm n-not g-gonna make i-it..."

Tori looked down at her in shock as he continued running like a mad man, "Nonsense Mori! Your big brohter will take care of it. You'll be fine okay? Alright?!"

She shushed then. Mori knew more then anything her brother was frantic. She was his whole life meaning, the thing he woke up for in the morning. If she were to die, what would become of him? All she really knew was that one second they were zipping through the streets, and the next they were in the hospital and she was being carted away by a nurse while her brother watched her, an utterly tormented expression on his face.

As Kiryuu turned to look at Kuu, his smirk became a fox-ish grin.

..C-cute...

"Awwww." Ryoko smiled. "Kuu-kun looks so cute!"

Irie laughed. "It looks like your shirt is eating him."

Then Kiryuu laughed as well. "We should be on our way."

"Alright. I'll look forward to seeing you tomorrow then, Misaki-chan." After seeing her off, he headed back into his room. It was his day off, after all. He had too many things on his mind anyways.

A deep blush had crossed his face from their words, and Kiryuu's expression in particular. Grabbing his camera he zipped out the door of the room. Ah embarressment, sometimes it was great being a coyote...You could get away so quickly.

For many minutes Tori simply paced back in forth in the waiting room. The wait was getting to him, and the half blind older brother was starting to get desperate. His thoughts became erratic and senseless because of his concern for her. Tori wondered just how much longer this would take...

Giggling, Kiryuu sprinted after him. "Come baaaack~! I have to take you to the doctor!"

Irie grabbed Ryoko's hand, and began to run after them as well. "Ne! Don't leave us behind!!"

Realizing that they were running after him, Kuu sped up. Waaaaa! They're running after me?!Before he knew it, he'd yanked a door open and was running outside. He stopped soon enough though, kneeling over, arms covering his head. The headache was coming back.

Catching up, he came to an abrupt halt beside Kuu. "Kuu-chan, are you alright..?" He had a very concerned tone to his voice.

Irie and Ryoko weren't far behind. "Hey, why did you run away so suddenly..?"

"Is Kuu-kun alright??"

Standing up straight Kuu just stood there for a little bit before his arms dropped to the side. Giving Kiryuu and the others a slighlty weak smile he spoke, "Sorry about...please don't chase me again though..okay?"

By now, he'd started walking, headache gone.

Frowning slightly, he walked beside Kuu. "I'm really sorry.." He spoke quietly.

Frowning at each other, Irie and Ryoko followed behind.

"Ne, Irie-kun.."

"..Hn?"

"Do you think there's something going on between the two of them..?"

Irie's eyes widened slightly. "..Hnn??"

She giggled. "Oh, never mind. Not like you'd notice anyways."

Placing a hand on his arm somewhat, Kuu gave a small smile, "No, don't apologize..its fine. Really."

It was odd hearing this boy apologixe to hm. Kuu had seen Kiryuu as someone playful, but with him, that seemed different.

Smiling down at Kuu, he placed his hand on top of his head, ruffling his hair. "Ok."

Something going on...? Irie turned this thought over and over in his mind. What on earth was she talking about? Seriously. 'something going on between them'..??

"Irie-kun..are you ok? You look like you're thinking so hard your brain may explode..."

He snapped his head up to look at her. "Huh..?"

Kuu let out a small giggle from the little hair ruffling. It had ben so long since anyone had done that, he'd almost forgotten what it was like. Soon enough, they had arrived at the hospital, and Kuu stepped inside, barely remembering any of this place from yesterday.

He was there. But she wasn't. The monitor showed her heart wasn't beating any longer. He hadn't even gotten to say goodbye..But here she was, as beautiful as the day she was born on that hospital bed, dead. The nurse moved towards him to comfort him, but Tori struk away grabbing a scalpel of a nearby desk. The older brother pointed it at her, a dead, and slightly crazed look in his eyes. A somewhat strangled laugh left his throat, "This is your fault!! A your fault...Mori's gone because of you people..."

She trembled, trying to get out the door and out of his crazed glare, "P-please sir!!C-calmdown!"

"SHUT UP!!"

Since Kuu had only been there the day before, Kiryuu no longer needed to fill out all those papers. He only needed to wait for a doctor to call for them. He took a seat in the small waiting room, glancing at the other few people there.

Irie sat on one side of Kiryuu, Resting his elbows on his knees, and placing his face in his hands. Waiting rooms were really pretty boring, besides the sounds of rough coughing that usually filled them.

She sat on the other side of Irie, also looking around. Hospitals were strange to her. Usually, you went in ill, but came out better. That's interesting, right?

In next to no seconds flat, the nurse was laying in a pool of her own blood, eyes wide in fear even though she was dead. Tori on the other hand was clutching his own eye, the tube end of a needle seen from between his fingers. The nurse, right before being killed had jabbed a needle into his bad eye. Tugging it out, his eyelid closed, blood running down the side of his place. A raspy laugh escaped his throat and he kicked her body, glancing upon Mori's face once more before exiting the room. For a moment he leaned against a wall, a rather unstable look upon his face. Composing himself, Tori made it down the hallway, and finally into the waiting room. Now, the older brother would have noticed Irie and the others, but they were in his blind spot, so he cotinued to the exit.

Now when Kuu had noticed Tori well, he didn't call out. He barely knew the boy, and the doctor had finally called his name. Standing up, he muttered under his breath, "Time to go..."

The three of them all watched Tori leave, but Irie jumped up. "You guys go with Kuu-kun...I'll go see what's up.." He sped off without another word.

She had obviously missed the fact that Tori had blood dripping down the side of his face. "..Um...ok?"

Kiryuu had seen the blood, but ignored it. This was something he'd leave up to Irie. "Come on, Ryoko-chan. The doctor called for us."

Watching Irie go off, a small frown crossed his face, Somehow...I have a bad feeling again. I hope he'll be alright. Continuing on down he hall he found the right room where the doctor was waiting for him.

There was a bit of an unstable step to his walk. Almost like he was going to fall over any second now. With Tori though, this was not the case. No, it was more of a part of him wanting to scream out or laugh rather insanely. But he had to get a grip. Mori's dead..shes dead...no, no, no...no she's here...shes here....she here...

Irie chased after him recklessly, dodging anyone that happened to be in the way. "Ne, Tori-san!"

Frowning, Kiryuu followed the doctor and Kuu into the specified room.

As they walked down the hall, Ryoko looked back every few moments, probably looking for Irie. I hope nothing bad happens...

The somewhat unstable male came to a stop at the sound of his name. Turning around, he noticed Irie coming towards him, "....Yes?"

Almost as soon as he walked into the room, the doctor asked Kuu to sit down on the examination bed. The doctor then proceeded to turn towards Kiryuu for the questions, instead of Kuu himself, "Now, what problems in Akuri need to be checked out?"

((The doctor's way of speaking really shows how long its been since I've been to a doctor. o.o;; ))

Irie's ears pressed back a bit instinctively. "A-are you alright...?" Obviously, this question had not been thought through. Tori definitely did not appear well.

Immediately, Kiryuu went into what seemed to be 'polite speaking mode'. "Last night, Akuri-kun appeared to have trouble eating. He claimed it hurt. So I'm assuming it may have something to do with his throat. He also coughed up a bit of blood."

Ryoko's ears pressed back at that. It must have been painful..

The doctor gave a nod and then proceeded over to Akuri. Leaning over a bit, the elder man placed to fingers on the side of his throat, taking note of the slice mark that was there. He also made a note that there were other injuries that seemed to lead down underneath the shirt.

"I can't say for sure, but I believe that the inside of Akuri's throat has swelled up. He won't be able to eat anything until tommorow." Standing up, the man continued on, "Now, are there any other injuries I should be aware of? This is important, so don't lie."

Tori answered him with a confused look, but at the sametime, was a little...lieing. As though he was trying to keep something secret, "Yes, I'm alrght. Is that all..?"

Irie tilted his head. "You're lying, aren't you..?" His tail swayed nervously.

Kiryuu smirked a bit. "Nothing I can't take care of myself." As far as he was aware, he and Misaki had both done a good job of cleaning up Kuu's wounds. Now they just had to heal, right?

At those words, Tori's look became a little unstable, but, placing a hand on his forehead, he calmed himself, "What of it?"

The doctor gave a nod, "Alright then. As long as you can take care of whats on the outside, thats fine...now, if you would step outside, I'm just going to conduct an examination."

Misaki hummed to herself happily. The groceries had been bought with her left over money and allwas right in the world. Except for a few things of course, but that wasn't bothering her. Continuing down the streets to her new apartment, she wondered vaguely if Irie had discovered anything yet.

Irie frowned. "If something's wrong, I can try to help.." Ok, he knew he was reaching now. But for some reason, he felt compelled to help. It was a really odd feeling, honestly.

Kiryuu and Ryoko nodded, both stepping back. "What exactly are you examining him for?"

"Lung damage."

With that, the doctor shut the door on them and returned to Kuu. Letting out an inaudiable sigh he spoke, "Please remove you shirt, this won't take long."

Kuu gave a nod and did as he was told. Bandages from yesterday were still there, and he was promptly ordered to remove them as well. With that the doctor looked over some of the scars, including the old ones, "These look quite deep...Ae your insides alright? By the looks of these marks, its possible one of your organs could have been punctured. Are you breathing alright?"

He nodded in response to all these questions, except for the ast one, "I have been having a little trouble breathing lately."

The doctor sighed once more, "For how long?"

"Since my brother shot me."

"Well, all I can tell you now is to take it easy. Don't do anything too draining. As long as you let yourself heal you shoould be fine."

"Why would I ask for that..? What gaurentee do I have you'll be queit..?"

Obviously, he was beginning to have a hard time keeping himself stable now. Of course, Tori had to keep it calm, especially with people, spectators, around.

Kiryuu's tails twitched uneasily. "What if something's wrong with him..? Something really wrong?" His face remained expressionless, but his voice held a concerned tone.

"He'll be alright Kiryuu-kun..." She patted his back reassuringly. "Kuu-kun is very strong. After all he's been through.. He'll be ok.."

By this time his ears had completely flattened against the side of his head. "I just want to help you...I don't want to get you in trouble, or anything of the sort..."

"Now then, I'll be right back, Akuri. Get your shirt back on, okay?"

Seeing that Kuu had acknowedged his words, the doctor opened the door, stepping out. Closing it behind himself, he looked over to Kiryuu, and spoke up, "I want you to watch him for a little while. A lot of those injuries look like they could have been life threatening, or punctured an organ. He also said he's been having a hard time breathing, so it'd be best you make sure nothing very draining, or traumatic happens while he's healing."

Tori was soon right in front of Irie, an odd look on his face. Bringing a hand to the boy's cheek, his expression became slightly unstable, "What do you want to know...?"

Kiryuu nodded. "Of course. I'll do everything I can."

Smiling, Ryoko linked her hands behind her back. It was nice seeing Kiryuu like this. As strange as it was seeing him being serious, she realized that Kiryuu really was human. "I'll help watch him too."

A very light blush spread across his face. "I-i want to know..." He trailed off. He knew he could receive all the answers he needed by simply reading Tori's mind, but...

"I want to know what's wrong.."

The doctor gave them a small smile, "Perfect. you can all leave anytime."

As soon as he said this, he opened the door and motioned to Kuu, who stood up, shirt back on. Stepping out, he smiled at Kiryuu and Ryoko, "Time to go then?"

A rather insane grin crossed his face at this, and thankfully, there were now no people nearby to witness this, so he could lose his cool as much as he wished. Dragging a finger down the side of Irie's face none too kindly, Tori spoke, "She's d.e.a.d.Dead. Mori's all gone, and now the nurse is to."

Kiryuu smiled down at Kuu, holding out his hand. "Yea, we can go back now."

"Yea, we've gotta go check on what's going on with Irie-kun and that guy."

"Indeed. We should be on our way then. Thank you very much, doctor." With that, Kiryuu bowed slightly.

Irie's eyes widened. Obviously, the way Tori was acting was a bit frightening. Mori? ..Mori...His sister, maybe? The nurse...he killed the nurse..Right? Is that what he's saying?

"..Was that...your sister?" He spoke nervously, putting more than a little thought behind his words. Irie was very aware that he would have to be careful of the things he said from now on.

Taking hold of Kiryuu's hand, Kuu waved at the doctor. Now he wasn't totally sure what the doctor had told the taller male and Ryoko, but it wasn't bothering him too much. It was probably something he might already have known.I hope Irie is aright...

"Yes...thats my sister."

He was well aware of the fact that he was letting himself be overcome by the insanity her death had triggered. But really, there was almost nothing Tori could do to calm himself at this point. He was too for deep in at he moment.

Thoughts of what would happen if he were to ever lose his own sister began to flood his mind. Almost instantly, Irie felt warm tears begin to roll down his face.

"I'm sorry..."

Sure, it was embarrassing...crying like this in front of someone he hardly knew. But once he had attempted to feel what Tori may have been feeling, his heart ached in his chest. Though he and Misaki had their differences, she was still dear to him.

"Any ideas which way he ran off to?" Kiryuu looked to Ryoko.

She shrugged. "Not really."

Irie's tears seemed to trigger something in Tori's heart. Almost out of an instinct he had acquired around his sister, the ex older brother reached out to Irie, wiping away the tears, "Why are you apologizing...?"

"He shouldn't be too far away...."

Well, that was just Kuu's opinion on the matter. After all, Tori probably wouldn't have gone far with Irie chasing after. Soon enough they were outside the door of the hospital, and a very familiar voice sounded in his ears, "Akuri."

Oh what horrible timing his brother had.

"Because.." Irie choked on his tears. "Because you've lost someone so important to you..If I lost my sister...." He trailed off, shaking his head. Small hiccups began slipping out between his words. "I-hic-..don't know what I'd do-hic-..if I lost my sister...."

Kiryuu's ears pressed forward dangerously at the familiarity of the voice.

What would he want now of all times..!?

His head ached at the sound of Kai's voice, and the younger of the two turned towards him. Kuu just watched his brother, waiting for him to continue, "Dad's home. Time to come back."

At those simple words, his eyes widened greatly, "D-dad's home? B-but, I t-thought...d-didn't we g-get a letter?"

Kai growled, "Stop your stuttering an move it. I promised dad I bring you home. Can't let you starting slumming with orphans..."

With that, he was grabbed by the hair and pulled forward.

More brotherly instincts. Irie struck him as something small, despite the boy being slightly taller then him. Something small...and kind. Raising his hand, Tori became a little more stable, stroking Irie's head, "But it didn't happen to you..so don't cry...okay?"

Kiryuu quickly grabbed ahold of Kai's arm. "I'm sure he knows the way home without you dragging him."

Irie nodded slightly, and began wiping away the continuously flowing tears. "I'm sorry-hic-...I shouldn't be crying...-hic-.."

Despite the fact that Kuu was deathly scared of what might happen, even with his dad home, he pushed Kiryuu's hand away from his brother's arm. Turning around, he was vaguely aware that a tear had rolled down his cheek, "Its fine..."

Kai only smirked at Kiryuu and placed a hand on his younger brother's back, pushing him forward. The two, one reluctently, began to leave.

Tori meerly pat his head, calm at last. This boy had a positive effect on him fortunatly. It was only moments ago he'd almost lost himself in Irie's presence. Fortunatly, that had not occured.

Kiryuu's ears twisted back and all three of his tails drooped to the ground. Once again, his face was void of all expression.

If you don't come back soon...I'll come to see you...



Ryoko frowned. "But...I had gotten used to seeing him with us, you know..? I felt like he was one of us.."

Kiryuu shook his head, speaking in a flat tone, "But he's not. He has a family. That's something you and I may never have."

Pressing her lips together in a flat -and particularly irritated- line, her tail bristled. "We've got each other. And that's good enough for me." She crossed her ams, tossing a glance at Kiryuu. "We still have to find Irie-kun. Who knows what he may have gotten himself into with that guy. We'll come check on Kuu-kun later, somehow."

Kiryuu simply nodded, starting off down the street. Irie couldn't be too far, could he?

Tori's pats had somehow brought a smile to his face. It was small, but sincere. Wiping away the last of his tears, he sniffled. The boy opened his mouth to speak, but cut himself off with a small hiccup. He immediately shut it as his cheeks turned a deep shade of red. At this point, his ears drooped to the side of his head in embarrassment, and he hid his face behind his bangs.

How embarrassing...

He was only halfway home and Kai was already talking about what he was in for. It didn't take much longer for them to get home actually. The moment they stepped into the door Kuu was hugged gently. It was such a nice feeling, much unlike the one Kai gave him, "Hi dad..."

"Hey Akuri..."

He was then kissed on the fore head and his brother put on the sweet older brother act, "He's been great while you were gone..Now dad, if you don't mind, I think Kuu needs a shower, so I'll take him upstairs. He was with a friend last night."

There was a laugh, but Kuu only heard pangs of fear, "Alright, alright. Up you go you two."

A loud laugh was heard, and the source was Tori. He had a wide grin on his face, for he'd found this all very cute. Suddenly though, the fact that he'd told this boy that he'd killed the nurse struck him. The bloody memory came back immediatly, I did that...?

"You won't tell anyone...will you?"

He shook his head quickly. "No, of course not...I promise I won't tell anyone."

"Hey, Hey, Kiryuu-kun, There they are!"

Irie's ears perked and he glanced behind him. "My friends are here.."

She ran up beside him. "Hey, we were worried about you!"

Irie frowned a bit. "I said I'd come back.." Kiryuu also stopped beside him. He quickly noticed someone was missing. "Hey, where's Kuu-kun..?"

"Good."

Watching Irie's friends came along he smiled to himself. His secret was safe. Vaguely, the fox eared male wondered if he would lose control like that again. Hopefully, Irie would not be there when it happened again.

He was not dragged upstairs today, no. But Kuu knew he had to climb these stairs. He had no choice in the matter. Soon enough he found himself in the bathroom, pinned against a wall. The shower was running so their father could not hear any noise, and Kai smashed his head into the wall continuosly. The wound on his head reopened, and suddenly it became much harder to breath. This time, he knew he wasn't being saved. Kuu has gone through this routine before.

Kiryuu shook his head. "His brother took him back home to see his father..."

Irie's eyes widened. "Wh..What..? Didn't you try to stop him??"

"Of course I did." His expression showed no traces of anger, but the tone of his voice told a different story. "Kuu-chan wouldn't allow it..."

Irie's ears drooped. "Well...what are we gonna do..?"

Kiryuu's ears drooped a little. "...I don't know."

Watching them all chat about this Kuu, he began to remember who it was. A rather short boy with messy hair. He'd looked like a coyote now that Tori thought about it. The boy was a kid who went to his school, "Hojo, huh...?"

Finally, when he was cut up and bleeding almost as bad as last time, Kuu was dragged over to the shower. Stripped of all his clothing, Kai dropped him. By now, the water had become cold, and Kuu merely lay there, blood mingling in with the water, turning it red, "Clean up, twerp."

Meanwhile, Misaki had finally gotten back to the apartment with her groceries and was currently filling out the application form. It didn't take her too long though, and the female twin headed into the bedroom, for a reason unknown to herself. Next thing she knew she was standing in front of the dresser, reaching for something that looked like a.....necklace?

Kiryuu looked to him immediately, almost smiling. His tails perked up and began twitching individually. "You know him?"

Irie looked to Tori as well. Maybe he can help us...
"Does Kuu-kun go to your school, Tori-san?" He tilted his head.

Tori gave a nod, "Indeed he does. Akuri is in my class come to think of it. I never really noticed him until I met you all yesterday...We both have school tommorow so if theres anything you'd like me to tell him, I could pass it on."

He was able to do that at least. As a favor for Irie on the most part, unless of course they declined his offer.

For a while, Kuu only continued to lay there and soon enough, he was clean. Standing up unsteadily, he stared blankly at the wall, a newly formed dead look on his face. Looking at a pile of clothes his brother had left for him, he wiped himself off and put them on.
