Ayana walked down the street rubbing her arms. She had forgotten her jacket at work again. It wasn't unusual that she did because she was a natural klutz.

Dusk walked down the streets, his wings hidden. He looked up at the sky, a faraway look in his eyes.

Silver looked at her brother and then at the girl walking down the street towards him unknowingly. An evil smirk crossed her face, she could cause a little trouble right here. Her eyes glowed slightly, a small chunk of ground made a bump.

Ayana wasn't exactly looking where she was walking and tripped slightly. She fumbled her arms in defense.

Dusk stepped forwards quickly catching Ayana in his arms, "You okay?" He asked, an edge of worry in his voice.

Silver grinned slightly, she'd meddled again, and this time, she'd slid under the radar.

Ayana looked up at Dusk and nodded her head. She was busy trying to catch her breath.

Dusk looked at her with a little pity, "Looks like you forgot your coat..." He took off his coat and handed it to her, "Here. You can return it to me if you see me again."

Ayana stood up straight and looked at the coat. "Y-You don't have t-to i-if you d-don't w-want t-to," she said shivering.

Dusk smiled slightly, "I do want to, here." He offered her the coat again.

Silver clapped, "Yes! Go big brother!" She cheered quietly.

Ayana smiled and took the coat. She put it on gently. "Thank you," she said, "What's your name?"

Dusk smiled, "You're welcome, and my name's Dusk. What's yours?"

"Ayana," she said, feeling her chest get warmer, "Dusk what a strange name."

Dusk smiled slightly, "You have a pretty name. And my name is a bit strange here I suppose, but not where I'm from..."

Ayana looked up into Dusk's eyes and continued to smile gently.

Dusk's eyes stayed locked on Ayana's, he smiled again, blushing faintly.

Silver got aggrivated, "C'mon Dusk! Say something!"

Dusk became tongue tied, not knowing what to say.

"Wanna walk me home Dusk?" Ayana asked, trying to break the silence.

Dusk smiled, "Sure."

Ayana started to carefully walk towards her apartment. She kept looking over at Dusk.

Dusk smiled at Ayana, glancing at the ground blushing.

Ayana blushed and asked looking at the ground, "Umm what do you like to do?"

Dusk smiled, "Outside activities, reading, writing, listening to music, things like that. You?"

"I like trying not to be such a klutz and music," Ayana said smiling.

Dusk gave a small laugh, "Well, we've got some things in common."

Ayana smiled and nodded. She recognized her apartment building and sighed.

Dusk looked at her, "This your place? I guess I'll see you later then."

"When I am going to see you again?" Ayana asked turning to Dusk.

Dusk smiled slightly, "You never know when fate may bring us together again. But I hope soon, I'll be around, and I'll look for you." He smiled at her again, waving as he walked off.

Ayana smiled at the promise and waved to him as she walked to her apartment. She clung to his jacket as she slept through the night.

Dusk sighed softly, staring at the stars from his window, a small smile on his face.

Silver slipped into her brother's room, tapping him on the shoulder, "Boo!"

"I could've heard you a mile away Sil." Dusk said with a small laugh.

Silver grinned, "And I can smell a love-sick brother from a mile away."

Dusk looked back at his sister, "How do you know about that?!"

Silver shook her head, "No reason, no reason at all, see you around big bro." She darted off, wanting to avoid questioning.

Ayana found she couldn't sleep and looked out her window. She stared at the stars.

Dusk shook his head slightly, then went back to looking at the stars, only thinking about one thought.

Silver smiled to herself, she had plans, big plans to make Dusk's promise to Ayana come true. She imagined herself to be like a guardian angel for her older brother, or in this case, a guardian demon.

Ayana sighed and got up from her bed. She walked over to her window and sat near it looking at the stars. She couldn't get the thought of Dusk out of her mind.

Dusk smiled up at the sky, feeling that Ayana was watching the sky at the very same time.

Silver nodded off unknowingly, not to wake up for many more days.

Ayana woke up from her spot and got dressed for work. She walked out of her apartment.

Dusk woke up, then got dressed and ready to go. He walked out of his house and down the street.

Ayana had kept his jacket on just in case she saw him today or that evening.

Dusk kept his promise, glancing around to see if he saw her anywhere.

Ayana skidded to a stop in front of her workplace and walked inside.

Dusk wandered the streets as he normally did, having no specific place to go.

Ayana started to work, pouring drinks and waiting on people.

Dusk passed by Ayana's work, spotting her inside. He smiled slightly, deciding to wait around nearby until she was done with work.

Ayana looked out the window and saw Dusk. She waved him inside and smiled.

Dusk saw her wave him inside and went inside. He smiled, glad to be able to talk to her.

"I'll be off in a half an hour," she said walking up him.

Dusk nodded, "I can wait outside if you'd like me to."

Ayana shook his head and took off his coat. "Here," she said, pushing it into his hands, "Sit at the bar."

Dusk smiled slightly again and nodded, sitting over at the bar.

Ayana began to wait and serve drinks again for half an hour.

Dusk waited for Ayana to get off of work.

Ayana clocked out and walked over to Dusk. She sat on a stool next to him.

Dusk smiled at her, "I told you we'd meet again soon."

Ayana smiled and said, "You were right."

Dusk smiled again, "We could go for a walk and talk if you'd like."

"I need to get out of here," Ayana said getting up.

Dusk nodded, standing up and walking out with Ayana.

Ayana smiled gently and stayed close to Dusk.

Dusk smiled at Ayana, offering his hand for her to take.

Ayana looked at it for a minute and smiled. She gently took it.

Dusk looked down at his feet, blushing a little darker, "You're welcome..." He smiled at her, peeking up at her.

"I'm glad you caught me," Ayana said.

Dusk smiled, "So am I. I think it was pure luck."

"I think fate had a part in it," Ayana said.

Dusk smiled, "I agree." He looked up at the sky, still smiling.

"I fell asleep next to my window last night," Ayana said.

Dusk looked slightly surprised, "Really? So did I..."

Abigal smiled and began to swing their hands.

Dusk smiled, letting her swing their hands.

Ayana yawned slightly. Working at the bar was tiring.

"Want me to walk you home?" Dusk asked Ayana quietly.

Dusk smiled at her, "I think I will, you look tired."

Dusk started walking her towards home, smiling at her again.

Dusk stopped in front of Ayana's building, "Want me to walk you in? Or are you okay on your own?"

"I want to show you where I live," she said climbing the stairs.

Ayana opened her apartment door and walked in.

Dusk looked at Ayana, "Want me to come in?"

Ayana nodded and smiled at him.

Dusk followed Ayana into her apartment. "Umm...Ayana?"

"Yeah?" she asked looking at him.

"I..I have something I should probably tell you..." Dusk said a little nervously.

"Is something wrong?" Ayana asked walking to him.

"I-I'm not normal." Dusk said quietly, looking at the ground, "As in, I'm not exactly human."

"S-So what're you exactly?" Ayana asked.

Dusk kept staring at the ground, looking kind of ashamed, "I...I'm a demon."

Ayana put a hand on his cheek and looked into his eyes.

Dusk looked back into Ayana's eyes, "I'm sorry..."

"It's okay," Ayana whispered and she moved closer to him.

Dusk smiled gently at her, "Really?" He moved a little closer to her.

Ayana nodded and smiled. "It's pretty cool," she whispered.

Ayana fixed her eyes on Dusk's hair.

Dusk smiled slightly, "Your head makes a nice pillow." He said, somewhat jokingly.

"Want something to eat?" she asked getting up.

Ayana finished the meal within minutes and put it onto two plates. She sat down with Dusk and handed him one.

"I-I tried my best," she said taking his plate. She went to the kitchen and washed the two plates.

Silver yawned, her head pounding from falling asleep on concrete. "Oww..great." She got up, realizing how long she'd been asleep.

"Then I wanna meet her," Ayana said quietly.

Dusk smiled, "I have a feeling she'll show up soon."

Silver stood to her feet, stretching her wings. She took off, heading towards her brother's presence. She landed, hiding her wings and other oddities. She headed into the building.

Ayana heard the door open and close and looked at the strange woman standing before her and Dusk.

Silver smiled, "Morning big brother, morning big brother's girl friend." She bowed respectively to the two of them.

Dusk gave a small laugh, "Ayana, this is my sister, Silver. Silver, this is Ayana."

"Nice to meet you," Ayana said smiling.

Silver smiled, "Nice to meet you too." She looked at Dusk, "She's nice, you choose well Dusk."

Dusk smiled, hugging Ayana. "Well, you've got my sister's approval."

"I'm glad I do," Ayan said hugging Dusk back.

Silver smiled, "You two are so cute together." She smiled, then turned towards the door, "Oh, by the way, that bump in the road? It wasn't an accident." She smiled, leaving the apartment.

Dusk laughed, "I knew it! She was trying to meddle again!" He smiled at Ayana, "Well, I'm glad she did."

"I wouldn't have meet you if she didn't," Ayana said smiling.

Silver walked down the stairs, sighing to herself, "Well...that takes care of Dusk...wonder if...nah." She said to herself.
