Shya stared up at the sky, watching the birds. She sighed softly, thinking about what it would be like to fly.

David in his human form was just walking the streets.

[wild_whisper]

Shya shook herself out of it and started to walk around, not paying attention to where she was going.

David wasn't watching where he was going and bumped into a girl.

[wild_whisper]

Shya stumbled back, falling to the ground.

[haseo592]

"Oh. I'm so sorry." David said helping her get back up.

[wild_whisper]

Shya shook her head, "It's okay, I really wasn't watching where I was going."

[haseo592]

"Well isn't that strange. Neither was I which is the reason I bumped into you."

[wild_whisper]

Shya smiled slightly, "What a coincidence. Oh, my name's Shya by the way. What's yours?"

"David." He said holding out his hand.

[wild_whisper]

Shya smiled and shook his hand, "Nice to meet you."

[haseo592]

"So where were you going?"

[wild_whisper]

"No where in particular really..." Shya said, studying his face.

[haseo592]

"I was just walking. Once again sorry for bumping into you."

[wild_whisper]

Shya shook her head again, "It's really okay." She smiled at him, "Well, since we bumped into each other anyways, want to walk with me?"

"Sure." David said putting his hands in his pockets.

Shya smiled again, starting down the street with David. "Sooo...how long have you been around here?"

[haseo592]

"Not long. Just got here actually."

[wild_whisper]

Shya nodded slightly, "That explains why I haven't seen you around before."

[haseo592]

"Yeah it would explain that wouldn't it." David said smiling.

Shya smiled again, "I can show you all around town if you like. I've lived here for most of my life."

Shya's smile brightened, "C'mon!" She took his arm and started to show him around, pointing out places as she did.

David just smiled and let Shya show him around.

Shya paused in front of one of the houses, "This would be my house." She then continued to show him around. When she finished, she smiled, "What do you think of the town?"

"It's pretty great." David said and then noticed that the tips of his hair was starting to go blonde. "I have to go."

Shya sighed softly, "Oh...alright." She gave him a small smile, "Will I see you around then?"

"Yeah of course." David said running while more of his hair started changing.

Shya waved, sighing softly to herself again. She started back towards her home.

David found a place to hide and took off his shirt so his wings wouldn't hurt when they came out.

Shya's mind started to wonder why he'd had to run off so quickly. She shook off the thought, sitting down on the front steps of her house.

"Stupid human form. It never lasts long enough." David said to himself.

[wild_whisper]

Shya stared off blankly ahead. She sighed softly, her gaze shifting to the sky again.

David picked up his shirt and started flying trying to find a better place to hide.

Shya perked up as she saw a winged figure flying through the sky. "Is that...an angel?" She whispered softly, watching in amazement.

David found a cave and landed there and went inside.

[wild_whisper]

Shya blinked, trying to figure out if it had been her imagination, or if she'd actually seen an angel.

David layed down on the ground waiting for the next day to come cause he couldn't go back to human form until then.

Shya went back into her house, it was getting dark anyways.

David woke up the next morning. He changed into his human form and put his shirt back on.

Shya stretched as she woke up, getting out of bed. She picked up a brush off her dresser and brushed out her hair.

David went back into town.

Shya got ready to go out, then headed outside, sitting on her front doorstep.

David went by Shya's house. He saw her sitting on her doorstep.

Shya saw David and waved, a bright smile on her face, "Morning David!"

"Morning. So how are you this morning." David said smiling.

[wild_whisper]

Shya got up and walked over to him, "Pretty good. Although, I'm not sure if I'm starting to hallucinate or something..." She gave a small laugh, "And you?"

"I'm fine. What did you see?"

[wild_whisper]

"Well...promise you won't laugh at me? I thought I saw an angel..." Shya said softly, looking skyward for a moment.

She saw me. David thought. "An angel?"

[wild_whisper]

Shya nodded, still looking at the sky, "I used to always dream about meeting an angel...so I guess it could've just been my imagination..."

[haseo592]

"Really? Why?" David asked curiously.

[wild_whisper]

"Why did I dream about meeting an angel? I really don't know...it just seemed like something so magical. I guess I still dream about it..." Shya gave a small laugh, "I'm childish in some ways still I suppose."

"I don't think it's childish."

[wild_whisper]

Shya smiled at him, "Really?"

[haseo592]

"Yes really." David said thinking. "Can we go inside? I want to show you something."

[wild_whisper]

Shya nodded, walking over and opening her front door, then waiting for him to go in.

David went in waiting for Shya to come in.

[wild_whisper]

Shya went in and closed the door behind her.

[haseo592]

David took off his shirt. "Now don't be scared by what you're about to see."

[wild_whisper]

Shya nodded, blushing faintly. "Okay."

David started changing. His hair turning blonde and then the wings came out of his back.

Shya's eyes widened, "Y-you're an angel!" She looked at him in amazement and wonder.

"Yes I am. I'm the one you saw flying yesterday."

[wild_whisper]

Shya smiled, "Wow...I never thought I'd actually get to meet an angel..."

[haseo592]

"Well you have. So what do you think?"

[wild_whisper]

Shya's smile brightened further, "It's amazing!"

[haseo592]

"And now I'm going to stay inside for the rest of the day."

[wild_whisper]

Shya smiled, "You can stay here."

[haseo592]

"Thanks. It's so annoying. My human form only lasts for so long and then I can't change back till the next day. Same thing if I change myself."

[wild_whisper]

Shya nodded slightly, "Ah, I see where that could be a problem." She smiled at him, "There's a guest room upstairs if you'd like to stay longer."

"Now you know why I was in a hurry to go yesterday."

[wild_whisper]

Shya nodded, smiling cheerily, "Yup."

"Oh thanks for letting me stay." David said smiling.

[wild_whisper]

"It's no problem." Shya said, still smiling.

[haseo592]

"I would put a shirt on but my wings kinda hurt when I have one on."

[wild_whisper]

"I can see why, you'd have to fold them up very tightly." Shya motioned for him to follow as she led him to the guest room.

David followed her to the guest room.

Shya opened the door to the guest room, "Feel free to make yourself at home."

[haseo592]

"Thanks again." David said sitting down on the bed.

"Welcome," Shya said cheerfully, "If you need anything, I'll be just down the hall."

"Umm I left my shirt downstairs. Could you get it for me?"

[wild_whisper]

Shya nodded, "Sure." She headed downstairs and retrieved it, bringing it back with her. She handed it to him with a smile.

David grabbed it. "Thanks again. I know the thanks must be getting annoying but I can't help it." David said smiling.

[wild_whisper]

Shya gave a small laugh, "The thanks isn't bothering me. I just got to meet an angel, I should probably be the one saying thanks."

[haseo592]

"Yeah. Unfortunately being this way is also a curse. I'm always having to hide from people."

[wild_whisper]

"Ah...that's got to be annoying..." Shya said softly, sitting next to him.

[haseo592]

"It is. The only thing I have that can allow me to be among people is that human form which doesn't last as long as I want it too."

[wild_whisper]

Shya nodded slightly, "Well...if it makes you feel any better, I'll stay with you when you can't go outside."

[haseo592]

"Don't do that. You have your own life to live. You don't want to be spending it inside."

[wild_whisper]

Shya shook her head slightly, "I don't have much connecting me to this town, except for the fact that I've lived here most of my life. Most of my friends left long ago."

"Your neighbor's are going to think you're strange"

[wild_whisper]

"Ah, that's okay. They already think I'm weird for staring at the sky." Shya gave a small giggle.

"Well isn't that a good thing? If everybody was looking at the sky they would have seen something strange yesterday."

[wild_whisper]

Shya nodded slightly, "Good point."

[haseo592]

"I hate being inside all the time myself, but there's no way I can go outside like this."

[wild_whisper]

"Hmm...maybe there's a way we can get you outside without anyone seeing your wings..." Shya thought for a moment.

"How?" David said surprised.

[wild_whisper]

"There's a forest not too far away, and most of the people around here are at work during the morning..." Shya said thoughtfully.

"So we go to the forest and no one will be there to see me?"

[wild_whisper]

Shya nodded, "Unless you count woodland creatures."

[haseo592]

"Woodland creatures don't count." David said laughing.

[wild_whisper]

Shya smiled, laughing softly, "Then no one will see you."

[haseo592]

"Well then let's go." David said getting up.

[wild_whisper]

Shya stood as well, starting out the door, leading the way.

David grabbed his shirt and followed Shya.

[wild_whisper]

Shya glanced around outside, "Coast is clear." She stepped outside, then waited for David.

David stepped outside. By force of habit he made sure no one was around even though Shya already did.

Shya took his hand, leading him towards the forest.

David let her drag him along to the forest.

[wild_whisper]

Shya smiled, "Safe."

[haseo592]

"That's a relief."

[wild_whisper]

Shya smiled again, "Lets explore."

[haseo592]

"Ok." David said smiling.

[wild_whisper]

Shya smiled, looking around then starting down a small path.

[haseo592]

David followed her.

[wild_whisper]

Shya smiled, glancing around as they reached a clearing. "I haven't been this far in the forest before..."

[haseo592]

"I've never been in this forest before so I don't know where it goes."

[wild_whisper]

Shya smiled, "Looks like we'll both find out then, doesn't it?"

[haseo592]

"Looks that way." David said smiling at her.

[wild_whisper]

Shya blushed faintly, her hand still in his. She continued to explore with him.

"You're turning red." David said seeing her blush.

[wild_whisper]

Shya gave a small laugh, "Am I now?"

[haseo592]

"Well you were." David said continuing to walk with Shya.

[wild_whisper]

Shya smiled slightly, "I probably was." She looked around again, studying the trees they passed.

"Why are you looking at the trees?"

[wild_whisper]

"No reason..." Shya said softly, looking at him, her blush returning.

[haseo592]

"Oh ok. Where do you think this leads to?"

[wild_whisper]

"No idea...lets find out!" Shya said cheerfully, racing off, pulling him along.

"Well we're in an adventurous mood aren't we? What are you going to do if we get too far away from your house?"

[wild_whisper]

Shya paused for a moment, "Umm...I guess camp in the forest for the night?"

[haseo592]

"Ok." David continued to follow her.

[wild_whisper]

Shya smiled, "I can see the end of this path." They emerged into a clearing. There was a small cabin in the clearing.

"Well this is strange."

[wild_whisper]

Shya nodded, "Yeah..." She looked around curiously, heading over to the cabin. She looked in, "It's empty...but there's no dust."

[haseo592]

"So it's safe for me to approach?"

[wild_whisper]

Shya smiled and nodded, "Yeah. There haven't been people here for ages, or there'd be worn down places on the grass."

[haseo592]

David approached the cabin slowly. "But you also said there was no dust so somebody had to have been here."

[wild_whisper]

Shya nodded, "That's what makes me suspicious." She stepped up to the front door and pushed on it. Surprisingly, it creaked open.

David followed her to the door.

[wild_whisper]

Shya took a small step back, "This is kinda...creepy." She then stepped inside cautiously.

[haseo592]

"I'm right behind you." David said following her in.

[wild_whisper]

Shya looked around once she was inside. It smelled like someone had been cooking, "This is very strange...very strange indeed." She walked over to the door that would lead to the kitchen and pushed it open.

"Anybody in there?"

[wild_whisper]

Shya shook her head, looking back at him, "It's dusty in there...really dusty."

[haseo592]

"Who would have it dusty in one area and not the other?" David said flapping his wings.

[wild_whisper]

"Exactly...and it smells like someone was baking in here..." Shya thought for a moment, "This is making no sense at all..."

"No it doesn't."

[wild_whisper]

Shya looked around, trying to piece it together.

David walked into kitchen trying to make sense of it all.

[wild_whisper]

Shya walked into another room.

[haseo592]

"What's in there?"

[wild_whisper]

Shya blinked and rubbed her eyes, "Uhh...bread."

[haseo592]

"Is that all?" David said going into the room.

[wild_whisper]

Shya nodded, "Yeah...just bread, fresh baked bread."

[haseo592]

"Ok this is starting to get really creepy."

[wild_whisper]

Shya nodded, "The oven doesn't seem to be used, yet there's fresh bread, and it smells like baking..."

[haseo592]

"Let's get out of here before something happens."

[wild_whisper]

Shya nodded, "Yeah. Lets go..."

[haseo592]

David walked outside.

[wild_whisper]

Shya started after him, a door swung open as she passed it, and she gave a small cry, backing away. An boney arm was draped out of the doorway.

David ran back inside.

[wild_whisper]

Shya pointed to the arm sticking out of the doorway, backing towards David.

[haseo592]

"What in the world?" David said shocked.

[wild_whisper]

Shya shook her head, "I-I have no idea...." She kept backing away from it.

[haseo592]

"Well let's get out of here." David said grabbing Shya's arm and running.

[wild_whisper]

Shya nodded, running with him, "That was scary..."

[haseo592]

"No kidding. That whole cabin was creepy, but the arm just takes the cake."

[wild_whisper]

Shya nodded in agreement, "Remind me never to go in there again."

[haseo592]

"Oh come on. It wasn't that bad." David said joking.

[wild_whisper]

Shya laughed lightly, "Says you!"

[haseo592]

"So ready to go back home?"

[wild_whisper]

Shya nodded, "Am I ever."

[haseo592]

"Want to fly there?"

[wild_whisper]

"Sure!" Shya said excitedly.

[haseo592]

"I'm only going as far as the place we entered." David said picking her up and taking off.

Shya nodded slightly, "Alright."

[haseo592]

David flew in the air. "So what do you think?"

[wild_whisper]

Shya looked around amazed, "It's breathtaking..."

[haseo592]

"I thought you'd enjoy it." David said smiling.

[wild_whisper]

Shya smiled, leaning against him slightly.

[haseo592]

David smiled continuing to fly.

[wild_whisper]

Shya watched the scenery as David flew.

David flew down when he reached the place where they entered the forest.

Shya smiled at David, "Thank you."

[haseo592]

"Welcome." he said putting her down.

[wild_whisper]

"So...are you going to come back to the house with me?" Shya asked.

[haseo592]

"Yeah but we need to make sure there's nobody around first."

[wild_whisper]

Shya nodded and looked around, "I think it's clear..."

[haseo592]

David followed her to the house.

[wild_whisper]

Shya opened the door when they got there.

(Ok I can't help but make a random moment here cause I can't stand nosy neighbor's.)

"Harold that strange girl who lives next door has a boy with her. I think he has wings."

"Whatever you say dear." Harold said not paying attention

David followed her into the house.

Shya closed the door behind him, "Well, today was...interesting."

"Yes it was."

Shya leaned back against the wall.

"Well we certainly won't be going back in there."

[wild_whisper]

Shya gave a small laugh, "I most definitely agree to that."

"So what are your neighbors like anyway?"

[wild_whisper]

Shya gave a small giggle, "The ones I actually know? Nosy."

"Oh so basically one of them could of seen me?"

[wild_whisper]

Shya thought for a moment, "They could have...but no one would believe them." She gave a small laugh.

"True. They'd think they were drunk or on drugs."

[wild_whisper]

Shya nodded, laughing lightly, "Yup."

[haseo592]

"I'm probably going to be here awhile. Isn't that wonderful? Oh well. At least they'll have something to talk about."

[wild_whisper]

Shya grinned, "Yeah, something to talk about. My neighbors will be in the gossip, supposedly on drugs."

[haseo592]

"I can see it now. 'Birdman in city.'" David said laughing.

[wild_whisper]

Shya laughed again, "Or, 'U.F.O.? Or U.W.M?' unidentified winged man."

[haseo592]

"So what to do now?" David said. Then his stomach started growling.

[wild_whisper]

"Looks like you answered your own question, dinner!" Shya headed for the kitchen, "What would you like?"

[haseo592]

"What do you have?"

[wild_whisper]

Shya looked in the pantry and the fridge, "Umm...uncooked spaghetti, bread, cheese, ham..." She listed a few other items.

"I'll take the spaghetti."

[wild_whisper]

Shya nodded and pulled out the box. She went and got a pot, filled it with water and set it on the stove.

David watched as Shya cooked.

[wild_whisper]

Shya hummed softly, turning on the burner.

[haseo592]

"Do you enjoy cooking?"

[wild_whisper]

Shya smiled slightly, "Sometimes. I guess it depends on what I'm cooking, or who I'm cooking for."

"Oh. Well I'm guessing you're enjoying it right now."

[wild_whisper]

Shya smiled, "Yup." She resumed her humming.

[haseo592]

David continued to watch her cook.

[wild_whisper]

When Shya finished she got out two plates and set them down on the counter. "Help yourself." She said with a cheerful smile.

David got one of the plates and fixed it.

[wild_whisper]

Shya smiled, taking some food for herself.

[haseo592]

David ate his spaghetti.

[wild_whisper]

Shya smiled slightly, eating hers.

[haseo592]

"Why are you smiling?"

[wild_whisper]

Shya shrugged slightly, "I really don't know...I guess it's just nice to have someone else to talk to and have dinner with again..."

"Oh. I guess it is isn't it?"

[wild_whisper]

Shya nodded, bringing her dirty dishes to the sink and washing them off.

[haseo592]

When David was done he put his plate in the sink.

Shya washed it off and then proceeded to dry the dishes and put them away. She smiled slightly, "So, what now?"

"Hmm don't know."

[wild_whisper]

Shya leaned against the counter for a moment.

[haseo592]

"We've already had spooky cabin experience."

[wild_whisper]

Shya laughed, "Yeah, we've already had our scary experience for the day, our adventure, our mystery, I count that cabin as a mystery still, what's left?"

"You've already had the flying experience also."

[wild_whisper]

Shya smiled and nodded, "Yeah. So what haven't we had today?" She looked at him questioningly.

[haseo592]

"Hmm well we haven't visited the neighbors." David said joking.

[wild_whisper]

Shya laughed, "I'm sure they'd welcome us with open arms." She smiled at him, "Seriously."

[haseo592]

"Yeah probably trying to get all the information they can out of you."

[wild_whisper]

Shya laughed cheerfully. "Yeah."

(Gah! Me have to be sneaky-sneaky....O.o :D )

"And seeing me they'd probably panic."

(Parents. *shifty eyes* They're always watching...and I'm supposed to be asleep...^^' Oh well...:D )

"Yeah, and we'd have to call the men in white coats." Shya said cheerily.
