Mikki fell to her knees amoung the flowers just outside the village. She picked one and put it in her hair.

David was walking through the village. He had nothing else to do so he just decided to walk.

Mikki giggled to herself as she squrlle(sp?) jumped on her shoulder.

David got the outside of the village. There was a girl there around some flowers.

"Hello.." She said monotoned

The creature jumped on her shoulder

"His name is Kookie.." She said as it walked along her arm and into her hand where it settled and curled into a ball.

she smiled as kookie jumped onto her head, she giggled.

Then he settled again and fell fast asleep.

David went home. He was tired and laid down and fell asleep.

David woke up and went to the field to find Mikki.

She lay there with Kookie on her chest.

David went over to wake her up.

"huh wha?" she asked sleeply

"Well then let's go."

"5 more minutes" she said softly and turned over.

David waited for 5 minutes.

Mikki fell asleep again.

After 5 minutes David went to wake her up again.

"alright alright" she got up

"Time to go."

"alright" she dusted herself off.

"So where is the hospital that he's in anyway?"

She pointed to the tall building in front of them.

Mikki walked up to the desk.

"Josh"
"yes mam.." she smiled
"alright your signed in.."
"oh this is my friend david" she said pointing to him
"oh thats fine have fun." she said waving them off
Mikki walked to her brothers room
"Josh honey...?" she called

Josh was still in a coma. He could hear his sister and wanted to answer but he couldn't.

David saw Josh in the bed. "He has a tattoo on his arm."

Mikki sat beside his bed.
"yes The winters family gets branded with that tattoo." she lifted her shirt to reveal the same tattoo on her lower back.

She let go and reached for Josh's hand.

Josh felt his hand being grabbed. He wanted to grip it but there was nothing he could do.

David went beside Mikki.

Mikki couldnt hold it in any longer. She broke down and cried.

Josh could hear her crying. A tear started going down the side of his face.

David hugged her trying to comfort her.

Mikki looked up and saw the tear.
"Josh baby dont cry...you'll get better...." she said trying to sound brave.

David wondered what she ment by that and then saw the tear.

Josh tried to move his hand. He only managed to twitch one of his fingers.

"Oh josh!" she said
More tears made there way down her cheeks, but tears of joy.

Josh still tried to move but he could still only manage to twitch.

"Oh josh Baby i love you...'

I love you too. Josh thought another tear rolling down his face.

She stood and kissed his cheek.
"Dont cry...." she wipped the tear.

Then the doctor walked in.

"As long as my boyfriend comes."

Mikki took david's hand and they walked outside.

"I think the best thing is to let him go...
"WHAT?? NO NEVER!! HES ALIVE!! David tell him!"

She nodded as some tears fell.

"hey honey...." she said softly

Josh opened his eyes weakly.

She watched him do this.
"David!" She cried

David ran into the room. "What?"

"he opened his eyes..." she ran and hugged him

"He what?!" David shouted surprised.

She pushed him towards the bed.
"look!"

David's eyes widened. "They're open!!! Should we get the doctor?"

Josh laid still trying to move his eyes to look at Mikki.

David went to get a doctor.

"m..m.." Josh tried saying her name but couldn't manage to move just yet.

She wrapped her arms around him.

David found the doctor they spoke to before. "He's opened his eyes!!" David shouted excitedly.

"I c..c..can't move." Josh said.

David went back to the room.

She reached down and hugged him.

Mikki turned towards david.
"ill just leave you two alone.." she walked from the room.

"He's your brother. You've waited for this for a while you should stay."

Mikki's face turned a slight pink.
"um well no..." she said looking down

David blushed.

"its alright honey..." she smiled and walked over to him and kissed his forehead.

She looked at David.

"She's right." David said looking at her.

"Ok." Josh tried to move his hand. He barely lifted it up.

A few tears slipped down her cheeks as she watched him try to do this.

Josh growled. "I can't do it."

David sat down beside her.

"I can talk now but I can't move. Why did that man shoot me in the head?"

She sighed and sat down.
"That man was after me and he killed mother and father and left you in a coma for 3 years and Ive come to see you everyday"

"He had a fetush with me.."

David looked surprised.

"What's that mean?"

"He was obssested with me.."

"Oh. That's a stupid reason for him to shoot mom and dad and me."

"Im sorry..." she looked down

"It's not your fault. What are you apologizing for?"

"I feel like its all my fault" she put her face in her hands and cried

David tried comforting her.

Josh accidentally pushed a button to call the doctors in by trying to move again.

The doctors came in.
"yes can i help you.."

David looked up.

"Oops." Josh said.

"sorry about that.." she said
"Its alright Miss winters"

"I'm sorry." Josh said to the doctor.

The doctor nodded and walked out.
Mikki looked at her brother.

"I tried to move again."

"You know you can't move because you've been in bed for 3 years. It will take time." David said.

"David's right...But dont worry..." she said smiling

"I want to go home."

"Alright..." she sat down in the chair.

David sighed. "Well I have to go."

"Yeah." David said smiling. Then he left.

"Are you sure he's not you're boyfriend?"

"yea im sure...." Then she yawned and leaned her head down on his bed.

Josh was happy that she was staying. Pretty soon he fell asleep.

~The next day~
Mikki awoke and looked at Josh.

Josh was still asleep.

She smiled and looked around.

Josh started waking up.

She looked back at him.
"well good morning sweet pea.." she said softly

"Good morning. I want out of this stupid bed." He started moving his arms.

"I know you do..."

"Why can't they just have you carry me or put me in a wheelchair?"

She thought for a moment and stood up. She pushed the covers off. Then she put her arm around is shoulders and helped him up.

Josh put his arms around her neck so he wouldn't fall. He didn't even notice that he moved them that much.

She helped put his feet on the floor.

Josh held onto her tightly. He was scared he was going to fall.

"Its alright josh I got ya" she said softly she started walking with him.

Josh tried moving his foot. He didn't succeed.

Mikki stopped and leaned down and moved his foot forward.

Josh tried moving again. He managed to move his big toe.

She moved his other foot.

Josh looked at her. "I'm sorry. They won't move."

"Dont worry...they will..." she put him back in the bed.
