Irony got in the car and drove to school knowing she was going to be late.

David was waiting for one student who was late.

Irony went into the class room knowing she was getting detention.

"You're late." David said putting her down for detention.

"i know" Irony said sitting at the back of the class.

"yeah, yeah." Irony said looking out of the window.

David started teaching.

Irony didn't listen instead she started drawing.

David stopped teaching and walked over to Irony.

David sighed. "You need to pay attention and I'm taking this." David said taking the picture.

David stopped looking at the picture and put it in a drawer in his desk and started teaching again.

The bell rang and David dismissed the class.

David got up and went to school ready to teach.

Irony was late again and she walked into the class room thinking about her dream last night.

David put her down for detention again.

Irony sat down in the back and thought about the dream again. the dream was about her and David together.

Irony listened until the bell rang. she gathered her things.

"What's with your change of attitude?"

Irony looked at him and shrugged "my dream last night creeped me out."

"i like being late. means i get to stay after school." Irony said looking out the window.

"I don't see why. You should be out there having fun."

"how? i don't have any friends and i don't go anywhere." Irony said looking at the ground.

"Or at least have a part time job."

"i do. i work at the cafe" Irony said.

"What time do you have to be in?"

"i'm not going in today." Irony "i'm going tomarrow though."

"I hope your not late there like you are here."

"i might be." Irony said smiling now looking at him with soft eyes.

David sighed. "You know if you keep being late there you'll be fired."

"i know." irony said "i'm about to quite anyways.

"Oh. Where do you plan on working after that?"

Irony shrugged and looked back out the window "i don't know."

"Well you better find one and not be late for class." he said as the bell rang.

Irony walked over to his desk and looked at him "what if i want to be late."

"Then you'll get detention again."

"i like it here." Irony smiled not even knowing what she was doing.

David walked out of the school.

Irony got home and went up to her room and laid on the bed.

Irony couldn't think strait. she looked at her wrist but didn't see any cuts...yet. she went into the kitchen and got a small knife and cut one cut on her arm.

David fell straight asleep once he reached home.

she cut some more but then she stopped and when up stairs. she didn't know what she was doing so she laid down and went to sleep.

David woke up and went straight to school.

Irony put arm warmers on and went to school not being late this time.

"Well this is a first. You actually made it on time."

she didn't say anything. she went to the back of the class room and starred out the window.

Irony didn't listen. even if he did catch her he could sent her to the pricaple and she still wouldn't.

David sighed and went over to Irony.

David sighed again. "You're staying after class."

after a while the bell rang and she was the fourth one out the door.

Irony glared at him and then got out of his grasp and ran to her next class.

Irony sat in the back and looked out the window not knowing he was there.

David talked to her teacher. "Excuse me. I told Irony to stay after my class and she just kept walking and came here."

the teacher nodded and looked at Irony "Irony. you need to go."

Irony got up and walked out of the room.

"I told you to stay after class and you completely ignored me." He said once they were out in the hallway.

"Let me see your arms." David said once they were in the classroom.

Irony put her arms behind her back not about to show him the scars.

"Let me see your arms. I know you're hiding something."

Iroyn looked at him and then away as she slipped the arm warmers off and showed the scars.

David looked shocked. "Why did you do this to yourself?"

Irony didn't answer.

"You know this is not a good way to take out your pain or anger."

Irony looked down but didn't say anything. it was like she was mute.

"You know I used to do the same thing when I was your age."

Irony looked at him and then sat down.

"You should find other ways besides cutting."

Irony looked away from him "i don't know any other way."

"That's why you have to find a way."

Irony sighed and looked at the ceiling.

"You can leave now, but please don't cut yourself anymore."

"i'll try." she said and walked into the other class.

David layed back in his chair.

"No reason. I was just wondering. What's her name?"

"Jocelyn. i was going to get another one for her to play with while i am gone." she said looking at Jocelyn. Jocelyn got in a playful stance.

"She looks like she's ready to play." David said smiling.

Irony smiled and started running around again with Jocelyn chasing her.

"See. I knew you had someone you could hang around with after school."

"yeah but none that aren't animals." Irony said as Jocelyn knocked her down again.

"True. But animals can be fun to hang out with too."

irony looked at him "do you have a pet?"

"No I don't. I used to but it died of old age."

"oh. i'm sorry to hear that." Irony said and got up. Jocelyn went over to David and laid by his feet.

David petted Jocelyn.

"she really likes you." Irony said.

"I see that." David said with a smile still petting Jocelyn.

Irony closed her eyes and nodded biting her lip a little.

"yeah. i got her when i was 14 so we've grown used to each other." Irony said sitting up and looking at him.

"Oh so you've known each other for a very long time."

irony nodded "yeah. sometimes we fight but then it's all good. she is just like a normal person to me."

"Well I need to go."

"'kay" Irony said and plaied with Jocelyn some more.

David walked back home.

David woke up the next morning and headed for school.

"sorry. i woke up late today." Irony said.

David started teaching keeping a close eye on Irony to make sure she was paying attention.

Irony acted like she was listening but she really didn't even hear a word he was saying. she was just looking at him.

"no. i like the back when other students are in here." Irony said smiling.

"Oh. Why is that?"

"because no one pay any mind to me. i'm forgotten back there but when i'm alone it doesn't matter where i sit."

"So you'd rather sit in the back and not be noticed?"

[fireangel2405]

Irony nodded "yeah."

[haseo592]

"Did you ever think that's probably why you don't have anybody to hang out with?"

[fireangel2405]

"yeah. i don't like hanging out with people." Irony said.

"But don't you feel lonely?"

[fireangel2405]

sometimes. but i have Jocelyn." she said.

"But she's not enough is she?"

[fireangel2405]

"yeah she is. but if i have one more person in my life that's all i need." Irony said.

"Then find one your age."

[fireangel2405]

Irony shook her head "i don't want to."

[haseo592]

"You certainly don't want a teacher."

[fireangel2405]

"you never know. i am weird." Irony said smiling.

"It wouldn't work out."

"can we just try?" Irony asked.

"I'm a teacher you're a student. Plus I'm like several years older than you."

"please" Irony asked with a puppy dog face.

"It would be distracting you from learning."

[fireangel2405]

"no it wouldn't." Irony said.

"Yes it would. You get distracted enough as it is. You don't pay attention and you're almost always late."

"i promise i'll try to be early and pay attention more." Irony said.

"You're determined aren't you?"

[fireangel2405]

"very" Irony said.

"Prove to me it won't be a distraction and I'll think about it. From now on you have to arrive on time and pay attention." David said when the bell rang.

Irony nodded and then went to her car and drove home.

Irony laid on her bed and went to sleep.

next morning Irony got up and took a quick shower and then got ready and went to school.
