BIO: Ryan grew up in this whole town his whole life with his mother and father as an only child. He's the basketball jock that everyone loves. He recently found out he was bi when he suddenly wasn't attracted to his girlfriend of two years. The two broke-up when his girlfriend Janna learned the news. He's still popular, but some people do think of him as different. Things have been really rocky with his parents ever since, his mom asks millions of questions and his dad is still trying his best to accept the fact that his son is gay.

Jacob was just heading back from school, walking along the same path he always did, he was getting so tired of going the same way everyday, he had just had a bad run in with Taylor and needed to walk to get his mind off of it, he turned down the next corner, deep in thought over his day when he ran into someone, making him fall to the ground and causing his backpack to unload its contents all over the pavement. "Oh, Im so sorry mister, I wasnt looking where I was going"

"Oh uhm it's alright," Ryan murmured, who had been walking back towards the school for basketball practice. "You alright man?" He asked, taking a closer look at the guy. Ryan himself hadn't been affected by the crash like the other guy had. He seemed familiar, like he had seen him somewhere else before. Probably from the same school. He held out his hand to help him up, hoping he wasn't hurt too badly or anything.

Jacob started gathering up his stuff, mumbling about how he should look where he was going, he was such a klutz, he'd gathered up all his stuff and grabbed the strangers hand to give him some leverage to stand. "Ill be alright, sorry, I need to watch where Im going" He took a closer look at the older boy's face and thought he'd seen him before, "Dont I know you? Is it Ryan? Yeah, you go to my school!" Jacob smiled because he knew he was right, "Im Jacob, Jacob Grindle" he stuck out his hand to shake Ryan's.

"Yeah, it's Ryan. And nice to meet you," Ryan shook the guy's hand and then let go. Anybody that went to their school knew who he was, basketball star and Mr. Popular. How could they not know him? He played modest though, which was what he always did. He didn't know this kid, only seen him around the school. "Did you get everything that fell from your bag?" He asked him and then looked around in the area that the two were standing in.

Jacob scanned the area but couldnt see anything else, "No, I think I got everything, thanks" He smiled up at Ryan again and slung his backpack over his shoulders, "So where are you going? Back to the school?"

Ryan nodded and then looked down to answer Jacob's question. Ryan had about five inches on him. "Oh yeah. Gotta get to basketball practice, thanks for reminding me. Almost forgot," he chuckled and took out his phone, reviewing the time. "Sh!t, running late. Catch ya later," he smiled before starting to jog back to the school with his gym bag in his hands.

Jacob smiled back at him "Ill see ya 'round sometime then!" he turned around and started to pace his way down the road, he was so entranced, he had seen Ryan before but when he saw him that time...... he just looked so much more........ beautiful, he had no other words to describe it, he acted so nice, and he just seemed to radiate, his face was so perfect, he couldnt stop thinking about him, by the time he came to he had no idea where he was, he was lost, he must have been walking for two hours! This was was the kind of time when he would kill to have a cell-phone! He walked around a few blocks, trying to remember anything, but nothing he could remember came to mind, he was hopelessly lost.

Ryan jogged back into the gym, jogging fast down the hallways, it was a good thing it was after hours, other wise he would have been busted. Teachers were already glaring at him, wanting to scold him for running in the hallways. But they couldn't, not even during school hours. He was too popular, and he was the one who had lead their team to the state championship last year. They wanted that to happen again this year as well. Ryan made his way into the gym, finding himself a few minutes late. Some of the guys were already on the court, doing simple lay-ups or shooting some jump shots. He walked into the locker rooms and waved to a few of the guys. He quickly got dressed into a white tee and some red basketball shorts. He stretched a bit but knew he should probably hurry it up. Coach would be mad if he was late. Coach Kidd was already tipsy after Ryan had come out to him and the whole team. It was still very akward. Ryan shook the thought away, not wanting to think about his being gay. He walked out of the gym, making it just in time.

Jacob soon came to a road he had a vague memory of, he walked where he thought the main road would be but only succeeding ing getting even more lost. It was getting later and he needed to go SOMEWHERE, he couldnt stay outside, this wasnt the best town for a kid to be out late at. He asked someone walking down the street how to get to the main road and walked to where they pointed, hoping he would find a way home!

Ryan looked around a bit, applauding himself for not taking too long in the locker rooms. He had even beated some of the guys who had already been there. He grabbed a basketball and joined some of the guys, taking his first jump shot. It was a 15-footer and it easily sunk down into the net. He grinned to himself as he chased his ball and shot a few more, awaiting for the guys to be done and the actual practice to start.

Jason sat down and started to cry when the same old lady he asked directions from before stopped and stared at him, "What's wrong, sonny?" she asked him.
Jason looked up, his eyes red, "I cant find my way home," he croaked.
"Well, come with me, I have a phone, you can call your mommy," she said with a frail smile
"Really?" he wondered. He didnt think someone could be so kind! "Oh thank you!" he said joyously.
"Why sure, follow me," she said kindly.
So Jason followed close behind the old lady, wiping the tears from his eyes as he went, after another ten minutes of walking they came to a pleasant, old, tiny little house. He loved the yellow siding and the pretty flowers in the small front garden. He stepped inside when the old lady waved him to come in,
"Oh Ryan!" she yelled. "Oh, silly me, he must be at his practice, there's my memory again," she lightly tapped her forehead and Jacob got the impression that if she had hit any harder she might have broken to pieces like a glass statue. It took him a minute that this old lady must be Ryan's mother! She looked a little old, but not by much.
"Excuse me miss, but do you know a Ryan Jacobs?" he inquired.
"Why yes! He's my son. Do you know him?" she replied
"Not really, but Ive seen him around school, we go to the same school," he answered for her.
"Oh, isnt that wonderful! Ryan is such a nice boy. You really should get to know him," She smiled warmly, "He should be home in about 45 minutes, depending on his practice schedule, would you like to stick around? Ive got lemonade if you want any,"
"I would love to! But let me call my mom first so she can stop worrying," he said "Where's your phone?" he questioned.
"Just down the hall, its right on the wall, you run along and call your mother,"
Jacob ran down the hall and found the phone and started dialing his home number.

/|Lol, no worries. It's a great post. I just have one question though... I the beginning of the post, you said Jason and then Jacob? Are there two diff characters? Or was it what I'm thinking, a typo?/|

A few minutes later, all of the guys were finished changing up and out onto the court. When the coach came out, the official practice had begun. First, they did their simple warm-up, starting with jogging five times around the gym and five times back and forth. After jogging, they did 100 crunches and 75 push-ups. The warm-up was not a lot of fun, it took a lot of the guys' energy away without even playing yet.

Most of the guys were already out of breath after warm-ups, but they caught it quickly. They took a few sips of their waters and they were back on track. Coach wasn't exactly easy about this, he always wanted his team to be on track 100% of the time. Ryan took a long swig from his bottle and then jumped up and down a bit, waiting for an order from the coach. "Get in lay-up position!" He barked out his command from the side lines. The team nodded and jogged up to the net. They split in two, 12 of the guys on one side and the other 12 on the other. It was quite easy, one side would be making the lay-ups and the other would be getting their rebounds and then they would go to the oppisite side so they all had a chance to do both things.

After about five minutes of doings lay-ups and working on free throws, coach had the guys show him their jump shots. Even though the centers normally didn't take jump shots, he had all the guys take atleast ten each. Even freethrows were included in these jump shots. Ryan took his last shot and stepped back a bit, having taking nearly 20 of them. He was done for now and wanted to give other guys a shot. He breathed in and out quickly, his feet hurting a bit already. Luckily, there was only about twenty minutes left of practice.

Jacob quickly dialed his mom's home number and she answered soon,
"Mom?" he said
"Jacob?" she replied. "Where have you been, mister?" she said angrily.
"Im sorry Im not home yet, I got a little lost, but Im okay now, Im at a friend's house from school." he explained
"You need to come home right now!" she screamed
"Dont worry mom, Ill be home in a little bit, I promise Im safe," he pleaded
"You better be home soon, Jacob Grindle, or so help me I will ground you for eternity," she threatened
"I will mom, Im sorry," he apologized
"Goodbye," she stated firmly
"Goodbye, I love you" he said weakly
Then he heard a click and a tone, he trudged off to the kitchen.

For the rest of the practice, it was pretty easy. They did a short scrimmage and then ended the practice. These practices Ryan liked, the short 1 1/2 hour ones. The loongg four hour practices wern't exactly his favorite. He knew they were important though, especially if their team wanted to win another championship.

At the end, all of the guys jogged into the locker rooms to change. Some even took a shower there. Ryan always took one at home though, he hated being rushed with his shower at school. He opened up his locker and grabbed his bag full of clothes. He decided not to change and do that when he got back home after his shower. "See ya guys later!" He yelled to his mates before leaving.

Ryan ran a hand through his hair as he made his way out of the gym and out towards the enterance/exit of the school. He was all sweaty, but he didn't mind for another ten or so minutes. His house wasn't very from the school, only two or three blocks.

Jacob walked into the kitchen and smiled at the frail old woman, she seemed so weak and so nice.
"My mom knows everything, Ill wait for Ryan to get here before I head home," and at the thought of Ryan's face Jacob started staring into space but the woman brought him back down to earth,
"Would you like some lemonade, Jacob?" She asked politely.
"Yes please, Im parched," he beamed at her and sat at in a chair next to a circular table with a flowery pattern.

Ryan tried to walk fast back to his house, but it was hard. It was a hot day outside and he was already sweaty from the practice. He wiped his forhead as his house came into view. It was a pretty big one, the biggest on the block. He jogged up to the front porch, wanting to simply run into the shower and shower himself with some cold water. "I'm home!" He yelled as he entered.

Jacob slowly sipped his lemonade but he soon heard someone jogging up the porch before flinging open the door and yelling "Im home!" It must be Ryan, Jacob smiled but soon blushed as Ryan entered the kitchen. "H....hi, Ryan," he said meakly.

Ryan saw Jacob, remembering the guy from earlier. He turned to his mom and gave her a wondering look with his eyebrows raised. "This is Jacob sweetie, I'm sure you know him from school," his mom responded. Okay, well that answered one question. But what the hell was he doing here? "Uhm yeah... I know him. Hey, Jacob, right?" He asked, turning towards the guy once again.

"Y....yes, I g...got a little lost.... but your mom h... helped me," he tried to explain but faltering a bit (more like a lot) "She is v....very nice, Im s...sorry for intruding,"

"Uhm yeah okay," Ryan nodded. He was just completely wiered out. He knew his mom was really nice and all, but she didn't have to bring random people in the house. "Well uh, stick around for a bit. I need to go take a shower first. Maybe we can chill for a bit afterwards," Ryan shrugged and started to walk out of the kitchen.

"S...sure..... I c...can do that," Jacob stuttered. He would love to be able to hang out with Ryan, his mom could wait, Jacob would deal with the consequences later. He watched Ryan walk away, Jacob stared at the spot where Ryan stood before slowly turning back to his lemonade, but he couldnt drink it, the only thing in his mind right now was the thought of Ryan's face.

Ryan sighed softly as he made his way up the stairs. His legs were killing from so much running. But he was used to this, he'd been playing basketball for a long time now. Almost 10 years. He went up to his room and switched on the light. His room was pretty clean actually, his mom was a neat freak so it kind of made sense. His room was filled with previous trophies, pictures of some models/actresses. He had wanted to put some guys up there but it'd be a little uncomfortable.

Mrs. Jacobs looked up at Jacob and gave him a small, apologetic smile. "Sorry about that. Ryan was a bit rude to you," she told the young boy.

"No no," he stared at his lemonade intently trying to get Ryan's face out of his mind, "Its alright, I just surprised him, I guess it was a little weird, I accidentally ran into him earlier so it must be weird seeing me a second time,"

Ryan grabbed his towel and walked into the bathroom that was located inside of his room. He liked being an only child, he got almost everything he wanted. He stripped out of his practice clothing and turned on some warm water in the shower. He stepped in, smiling as he felt the water against his skin.

"Ah, I see," Mrs Jacobs nodded slowly. "Well, still. He could have welcomed you a little nicer," she said as she stood up. "Can I get you anything to eat?" She asked him.

"No thank you, Im fine for now, I had a big lunch," This statement was false, Jacob hadnt been eating a lot lately, all he ever thought about was guys, he just couldnt help it, he'd sit alone at his lunch table, having fantasies about some guy a few tables down.

Ryan sighed contently as the water rushed down his body. He felt much more relaxed now, the water was cooling him down. He grabbed some soap and lathered it down his body and then rinsing it off. He decided not to wash his hair, having washed it only a day ago. He stood there for a few more minutes, not wanting to get out.

"Alright. If you're sure dear, I just made a fresh batch of cookies for Ryan after practice," she said as she made her way over to the oven and took the cookies out. They were ready now, even cooled down now.

"Ill be okay," now Jacob couldn't get the thought of Ryan naked and wet in the shower, he drew his legs in to control his stark erection, he squeezed his eyes shut, trying to get the image out of his head, he shouldnt be thinking these things at all, not about other guys, it was wrong, but he couldnt stop.

Ryan stepped out after a moment, deciding he didn't want to keep the 'guest' waiting. He grabbed his towel and quickly dried himself off. He wrapped the towel around his waist and stepped back into his room to get dressed. He put on some red basketball shorts and a white muscle tee. Something simply and comfy. He dried off his wet hair and then sprayed on a hint of cologne. He didn't like wearing that much but a little was fine.

Mrs. Jacobs nodded slowly. "Alright. Well Ryan should be down soon. And I'll be in the den if you need me," she said before starting to walk away.

"Alright, Ill remember that," he smiled as best he could, still curled up in a ball, he could hear Ryan coming, he needed to think of something fast but nothing helped, he tried to make it look normal by the time Ryan came in but he was sure it looked awkward to Ryan, he blushed wildly at Ryan, he was making a horrible first impression.

Ryan ran a hand through his damp hair as he made his way into the kitchen. "Hey. Where'd mom go?" He asked Jacob as he looked around the kitchen and saw his mom no where. He saw some cookies on the counter and smiled. He walked over, taking one and placing half of it into his mouth. He was hella hungry, and his mom's cookies were his favorite.

"She s...said she would be in the d...den," Why couldnt Jacob stop stuttering? He sounded like he had hypothermia, he just wish he could get over the awkwardness with Ryan, he didnt need this getting in the way, he probably could be friends if he would just stop stuttering.

Ryan nodded slowly. "Kay," he said as he grabbed a glass and then poured some lemonade into it. He bit on his lip before taking a long sip of the lemonade. It was akward now, he didn't have anything to say. And the boy seemed nervous, whenever he talked he stuttered. There really was nothing to be nervous about. Not like Ryan was going to bite his head off or anything. "So uhm, what do you want to do?" He asked, glancing over at Jacob.

"W...what do you n...normally do?" he asked, his stuttering decreasing a bit, he was becoming a bit more relaxed but that cologne Ryan was wearing wasnt helping, Jacob could smell its musky scent, he liked it.

Ryan shrugged a bit. "A lot of things. Watch movies, play basketball, just chill out," he said and then took another sip from his lemonade. At that moment, he just wanted to get a bite to eat. He hadn't eaten since lunch time.

"How about a movie? I dont have to get home any time soon and I love movies," he could finally stop stuttering which was great! He wondered what type of movies Ryan would have.

"Cool," Ryan said and then grabbed another cookie. "C'mon, we can watch it in the basement," He told Jacob as he leaned away from the counter and began walking towards the door which lead to the basement. He opened the door, but waited for Jacob.

Jacob rose slowly, he still was hard, he walked quickly to the door, hoping Ryan wouldnt notice, "Alright, sound fun, what movies do you have?" he asked.

"Oh, we've got a bunch," Ryan spoke as he walked down the stairs that led into the basement. "You can just pick one out you like, and if you don't like any of them, we can always go and rent one," he said. He reached the bottom and switched on the lights, revealing a room with a long futon and a 50' plasma screen attatched to the wall. The room was simple, just a place to hang out.

"Wow... Ive never seen someone with a TV this big," Jacob was in awe, "So where are the movies?" he asked, still staring at the TV.

"Eh," Ryan said and shrugged about his comment on the tv. He did like the TV, it was pretty much his own after all. No one came down there besides himself. "Oh they're right here," Ryan said as he walked over to the shelf with the DvDs on it. "Just pick one out," he added.

Jacob walked over to the shelf hastily, he was lucky Ryan hadnt noticed him yet, he picked out just a random movie and handed it to Ryan, "How about that one?" Jacob didnt even look at the title so he didnt know what to expect. He quickly hurried over and sat on the futon, bringing his legs up so as to hide his tent.

Ryan looked at the movie he had picked out. It was a wierd choice, kind of an oldie. Something his mom would watch. He decided to put it in anyway, if that's what he wanted. He grabbed the remote and made his way over to the futon, sitting next to Jacob but leaving somewhat of a gap between them.

Jacob frowned, he knew it was best to sit away from Ryan, he could smell that cologne and he became a bit light-headed, he took a deep breath which didnt help, all he could think about was Ryan and that scent was intoxicating in the best way and he started to get woozy before he fell over into Ryan's lap, his eyes half closed.

"What the hell..." Ryan murmured when he saw and felt Jacob's head in his lap. "Uhm dude..." He murmured as he looked down. It was a little wierd, but with Jacob's head in that spot, was he getting turned on? He was certainly feeling a bit tingly now. He shook Jacob, trying to get him away.

When Jacob realized what had happened he jumped up and away from Ryan, "I uhhhh Im s...sorry I just g...got a little l...light h....headed, sorry," he tried to explain, Ryan was so warm, Jacob would have liked to lay there forever, and feel Ryan's tender hands running across his fa- NO NO NO! Jacob needed to stop this, he had to get away before Ryan found out, or maybe... maybe he should tell Ryan... he was so confused he was getting lightheaded again and started rocking back and forth.

Ryan bit on his lip as he watched Jacob rock back and forth. "Can I uh... Get you some water or something?" He asked, standing up from the couch. "You don't seem so good," he murmured as he ran a hand through his black hair.

"No, Im fine, but can I uhhh....tell you something?" he asked, he was becoming choked up and it was getting harder to breath, Ryan was the only thing he thought about as his airways became constricted and his heart beat faster than ever, "I need to tell you that..... I kind of..... I like you... Ryan, I think you're beautiful and nice... and...and" Jacob fell over onto the floor, he was so choked up and so light headed he couldnt do anything but lay there.

"Holy Sh!t..." Ryan murmured as he quickly got up. He was pretty shocked by the news. I mean, he barely knew the guy. He quickly walked over to the mini fridge, opened it up, and grabbed one of the cold water bottles. "Dude... You alright?" He mumbled as he made his way back over. He opened up the cap, leaned down beside him and handed the bottle, or tried to hand the bottle over.

"I.... I dont know....." he said weakly and slowly reached for the bottle before taking a sip, "I... Im sorry, I guess Im just being crazy...... Im sorry," he sobbed a little and drank some more of the water, trying to sit up.

Ryan sighed softly and put a hand on his back, helping him sit up. "I hope you're okay..." He murmured and gently rubbed his back.

Jacob smiled at the feel of Ryan's warm hands, but he knew that what he said was a mistake, he barely knew Ryan but he could tell Ryan was a wonderful guy, but he also should have known Ryan wouldnt return any of those feelings and it was a mistake to say anything, Jacob frowned and sobbed more.

Ryan glanced down at the guy, Ryan himself was much more taller then him. "Uhm. Can I ask what's wrong?" He asked. He was being careful to be kind, even though he was pretty much wierded out by the whole thing.

"If.... y...you want..... it's that I....I'm g....gay, and I th....think you're c...cute, b...but I know I sh....shouldnt..... Im s....sorry," Jacob stuttered out trying to explain why he was acting so weird.

"I see..." He murmured and ran his hand through his damp hair sheepishly. "I guess... You know I'm bi?" He asked, glancing over at the younger boy. That was a pretty stupid question, since practically the whole school new about it.

Jacob snapped his head up at what Ryan said "I... I uhhh... I no..... I didnt... y...you are?" he said, maybe Ryan could like him..... He sure hoped so, Ryan was such a nice guy, someone Jacob really looked up to..... someone he wanted to be with hopefully, he'd always been so lonely.

"You didn't know?" Ryan asked, raising his eyebrows a bit. Okay, so maybe not everyone knew. "That's surprising," he said and chuckled lightly at the thought. He was trying to lighten the mood up a bit. He hated tense and akward situations.

"Heh, I guess not, I thought I was kind of.... the only one who felt that way about other guys," Jacob tried to crack a smile to help with the mood, maybe he could turn his first impression around and make it a good one.

"Eh, I'm sure there are others out there at are school. Probably just afraid to come out," Ryan said and then shrugged lightly. He had actually gotten a few anonymous letters from guys who were telling him who brave he had been to come out and how they were too scared to do it.

"I wish I could meet them, I just feel so alon and confused, I know I shouldnt feel this way about guys but I just cant help it," Jacob frowned again and wiped away the tears welling up in his eyes.

"Well most of us can't help it either. Guess it just happens that way, can't really blame anyone for it," he said as he stood up and stretched. "But anyway... I hope you're okay..." He said. "You really shouldn't be nervous around me."

"Well, I just didnt know.... that you... felt that way about guys.... but Id never met someone as beautiful as you before, and to be honest I got lost because all I could think about was your face, I get that way a lot, its just never been this strong before,"

Ryan smiled sheepishly, trying to play modest. "You really think so? I've never had a guy call me beautiful before," he said. But truely, he did know he was hella fine. Girls were all over him and he was constantly told he was good looking. He didn't say anything though.

"Well I think you are, I know that sounds a little weird but I really like you Ryan," Jacob blushed a dull pink before turning his head to the side to avoid meeting Ryan's eyes.

"Yeah, I kind of got that one down," he joked playfully. "I'm not really sure what to say to you... I'm a little confused myself. Not about you, just in general," he said and sighed inwardly.

"I am too, but Im slowly getting used to the idea, I just hope I can someday meet someone to be with, I just dont want to be lonely anymore, I never really had any friends,"

Ryan looked up and smiled sadly at the boy, he really did seem a bit on the lonely side. "Well then let's start off slow. I'll be your friendly," he said confidently.

"That works fine with me," Jacob smiled at Ryan, he finally had a friend who was a little like him, he felt a little less lonely already, Ryan was really nice.

"Good," Ryan smiled and nodded slowly. "Okay well uhm..." He murmured, looking around and wondering what to say next. "Uh, you want to go out and get something to eat? I'm pretty hungry," he admitted.

Jacob hadnt noticed how hungry he'd been, "Yeh, Im hungry too, I havnt really eaten at all today," he smiled warmly at Ryan, "What do you have in mind?"

"Uhm... Not really sure," he said as he got up off the couch and stretched his long body. "What kind of good you like? I'm up for anything, I just want the food," he chuckled as he put his arms back down by his side.

"Uhhhh... well I really like salty things, popcorn, fries, that stuff, I know it isnt healthy but I have a really high metabolism and I dont eat much," he said, "How about some popcorn, some real movie food?" Jacob asked, smiling at Ryan again before getting up onto the couch again, he was so glad it wasnt awkward anymore,he thought he was going to die.

"Mmm sure, go ahead and start the movie, I'll be back with the popcorn in a few minutes," he said as he started walking towards the stairs. "Oh yeah," Ryan said, pausing. "Can I get you something to drink?" He asked, glancing over his shoulder at Jacob.

Jacob thought for a moment, "Uhhh... sure, surprise me, I dont have any allergies so anything is fine," Jacob watched Ryan leave and then averted his eyes to the huge TV, finding the DVD player and putting the movie in, he turned on the TV and was literally blown away from the noise. He ran and turned the TV off quickly, "Owwww!" he groaned loudly.

Ryan made his way up the stairs and into the kitchen. He walked over to the pantry and pulled out some popcorn. After placing the bag into the microwave and starting it, he grabbed two glasses. He looked around, wondering what he should get. He decided pop or Jacob and lemonade for him. He poured the drinks in the cups and then grabbed a big bowl while he waited for the popcorn to finish.

Jacob decided to go upstairs and see how Ryan was doing so he wouldnt have to be down there alone with that TV, he climbed the stairs quickly and crept up behind Ryan, tapping him on the back.

Ryan jumped a bit in place, frightened by the sudden tap. "Oh hey," he said sheepishly. The popcorn had just finished. He walked over to the microwave and opened it up, steaming air blowing out to his face. He chuckled, using his hand to blow it around.

Jacob sniffed the air, "Mmm, smells great!" he exclaimed. "I couldn't quite figure out the TV so I didn't want to try again, I'd probably break something," Jacob giggled a bit at how technologically challenged he could be.

"Eh, it's alright. You couldn't do nething that bad, unless ya hit a ball at it or something," he chuckled as he grabbed the hot popcorn bag and quickly dumped it into the large bowl. He closed the microwave door and then turned, glancing at Jacob. "Wanna grab the drinks for me?" He asked, grabbing the bowl.

"Sure!" Jacob beamed at Ryan and grabbed the glasses and followed Ryan downstairs to the basement, "Where should I set the glasses?" Jacob asked.

"Go ahead and place them on the coffee table," Ryan said, walking over towards the couch. He placed the bowl down on the table and then pushed it towards the couch for easier access.

Jacob set the glasses down next to the bowl and sat down on the couch, watching Ryan get the movie in so they could watch it, "So what are we watching? I didnt actually look at it," Jacob blushed and smiled a little, giggling at his stupidity.

"Uhm... Some movie called 1776," he said and shrugged lightly as he came back and took a seat next to Jacob. "I wasn't exactly sure why you picked out the movie..." He admitted and laughed. He'd only watched the movie once before, and that was in 8th grade English class.

"Well that sounds a bit uhhhh...... different.... but I guess it cant be all bad. Jacob sipped at his soda and took a few pieces of popcorn, he stood up to turn off the lights and went and sat back down on the couch.

"You'll see," he grinned as he grabbed his cup full of lemonade and then leaned back on the couch. He took some small sips. He set the glass in between his legs and then fast-forwarded through the previews, he wasn't a fan of them.

Jacob liked Ryan's smile, made him feel warm to see it, he turned his attention back to the TV to watch Ryan fast-forward through the previews, he always liked to watch them for some reason but he was okay with Ryan flying through them, he didn't really care if the movie was good or not, he liked being able to sit here with Ryan, he had gym with Ryan and would always be staring at him, Ryan was easily spotted in a crowd.

Ryan stopped quickly when the menu came up. He pressed play from the remote before setting it back down on the arm rest. He leaned back onto the couch afterwards and watched, getting comfy as the movie started.

Jacob relaxed a little as the movie started, it didnt seem like it was going to be too terribly interesting, but he didnt mind, he was alone with Ryan in a dark basement, watching a movie he didnt care for. Before Jacob could stop himself he began to think naughty things, he was so glad the room was dark, he didnt have to curl up into a ball, he just tried to watch the movie with intense focus.

Ryan watched the movie, or tried to watch it. It wasn't exactly the most entertaining movie in the world, which usually got him distracted. He glanced over at Jacob occasionally, just to make sure he was okay. Ryan grabbed some popcorn in his hand and nibbled on it slowly as he watched.

Jacob strained his eyes to focus only on the movie, they began to hurt so he rubbed them and just sat back and relax, letting his thoughts consume him, he had two hours to get it all out of his system, he grabbed his glass and took a sip as he let his imagination run wild, and, on instinct his hand was slowly moving towards Ryan's on the couch, he didnt notice it at all as he stared into space.

Ryan yawned quietly but covered it with his hand, he had forgotten how boring the movie had been. He tried to watch, trying to concentrate on it. He still occasionally grabbed some popcorn and sipped on his drink.

Jacob finally snapped out of his daydream as he almost touched Ryan's hand, he hadn't noticed how bored Ryan was, "Sorry I picked such a boring movie, you can change it, I dont really like it either, Jacob took another sip of his drink, "So have you ever uhhh.... kissed a guy? Sorry if it's a bit too personal,"

Ryan chuckled at the first part, at least he wasn't the only one who thought it was boring. His laughter faded though when he heard the second part. "Uhm..." He murmured and cleared his throat. "No, I havn't," he said and shrugged lightly. "Have you?" He asked, glancing over at him.

"Well..... there was this one time with my friend Taylor about a year ago, I kind of just attacked him, but I think he liked it, he didn't pull away for a long time, but I havn't talked to him since..." Jacob frowned, "It was all my fault, and he was my best friend, I just guess Im a bit too forward sometimes, Im no good with controlling myself,"

Ryan nodded slowly. "I see..." He said slowly, he thought about it for a minute before talking again. "Have you ever seen him since then?" He asked curiously, glancing up at him. He thought it was pretty stupid loosing a friendship over a simple kiss. He himself would have been caught off guard also, but not that cruel to let a friendship go.

"Well, Ive seen him around, but we just kind of..... lost touch, he would never say anything to me, I just dont know, I just never want to make that mistake again," Jacob frowned even more and sniffled a bit.

"I'm sorry," Ryan murmured, trying to be sincere. He usually wasn't great at this kind of stuff. "Hopefully you're okay... There's always more people who would probably make better friends," he added.

"Its alright, I can make more friends, I just wish some more people would talk to me, Im not really good at starting a conversation with someone new, I can be really shy and Im not cut out for being outgoing," he turned his eys back to the TV, hoping something interesting was happening but nothing was.

"Ah... Yeah, I know what you mean," he said, even though he was totally outgoing. He could usually make a conversation with anyone. He smiled slightly and moved drifted his gaze back to the movie. He knew nothing interesting was going to come, having seen the movie a few times already.

Jacob sat there silently for a long time watching the movie, he already knew everything it was talking about, he couldn't finish his soda, he wasn't thirsty or even hungry, he'd just lost all interest in anything that wasn't Ryan, he had another pressing question he wanted to ask but he KNEW it was a bad idea, he wanted to see if Ryan wanted to kiss a guy, but that was just his hormones saying that, he really wanted to know though, but he had to control what he said, he knew Ryan was probably still feeling weird.

Ryan yawned quietly, the movie really starting to bore him. He crossed his legs and leaned back against the couch, trying to get comfortable.

Jacob saw Ryan relaxing, maybe he should ask him, NO! Bad idea and he knew it, but he needed to say something, "So what's it like to... you know.... come out? What did people do?"

Ryan glanced at him and bit his lip before answering his question. That subject was still a little iffy on his side, but he didn't mind the questions. "Yeahh uh..." He murmured, trying to start. "Well, I guess it was hard. People probably wern't expecting that," he said and shrugged sheepishly. "It took a while to get used to, but I don't think they think differently of me, especially the guys. Who's opinion I cared about the most besides my parents," he said. The team really mattered to him, and he hadn't wanted his coming out to affect their game.

"Yeah, well I'm glad someone decided to, I couldn't ever do that, I'm already shy enough, but it's great I met you, I'm sorry if it was hard for you to come out though," Jacob tried to say, what Ryan probably went through coming out to everyone must have been horrible, Jacob wished he has that kind of courage.

Ryan shrugged and nodded slowly. "Eh, it is hard. But once you do it, it's like this huge boulder has been taken off of you," he said and smiled slightly. "It feels good, even if people may think of you just a little differently. I mean, even my parents are still a little iffy about it. Especially my dad," he said and bit his lip. He and his dad never had gotten along much. Especially since his dad had always wanted a son who was much smarter and paid more attention to school instead of sports. But he felt that he had gotten somewhat closer to his dad after his coming out.

"That sounds so wonderful! I mean, except about your parents, I just sometimes feel I've got a huge monkey on my back I want to come out, but I dont know how my family would react, but that all sounds so wonderful! Gives me hope that I can one day come out to everyone," Jacob said cheerfully, but he knew he probably wouldn't tell anyone for a long time, not until he was out of the reach of people that may do him harm for it, like his dad or mom.

Ryan blinked, he was a little surprised. "You mean you havn't told your parents yet? Or anyone?" He asked bluntly. Ryan was pretty sure he would have. I mean, all the questions, he felt like Jacob had been talking so freely about the subject.

"N...no, because the people I know wouldn't really.... you now... feel the same about me, I don't want to lose some of the few friends I have, and I dont want my mom to have another reason to hate me," Jacob wiped a tear from his eye, "Its just so hard.... to have these feelings, knowing no one would like me if I came out, and I just feel so alone," Jacob's eyes teared up even more as he tried to fight them back.

Ryan bit his lip, feeling bad for making the poor guy cry. "I'm sorry dude," he murmured as he looked around a bit for a tissue he could give to Jacob. "I know it's hard... But you'lll have to tell someone but me eventually," he told him as he got up and grabbed one off of the side table. He sat back down next to him, this time a little closer and handed him the tissue to wipe his tears with.

Jacob leaned up against Ryan and grabbed the tissue, "I know I will..... someday.... I just need to find the right person..... but Im glad I told you, I may have actually died, I just really needed to tell someone, and I don't know...... you just seemed like someone I could tell,"

Ryan smiled slightly, he liked when people trusted him. "Thanks, I'm glad I could be a help," he said and then looked around a bit, not sure what else to say. He hated akward moments like this.

Jacob turned towards Ryan, wiping the last tear from his eye, and leaning up towards Ryan's face and gently kissed him on the cheek and whispered in his ear, "You're welcome..."

Ryan froze for a moment when he felt Jacob's lips on his skin. It was a wierd feeling, something he definitley wasn't used to. "Uhm thanks," he said and blushed slightly as he glanced over at Jacob.

Jacob blushed too, he liked the feeling of his lips on Ryan's soft skin, it felt so..... right, he looked into Ryan's eyes and didn't turn away, he was getting lost in them, like he was drifting way on a cloud.

Ryan sheepishly ran a hand through his hair. "Uh..." He murmured, feeling even more akward with the look Jacob was giving him. "You alright?" He asked and snapped his fingers in between Jacob's eyes to get his attention.

Jacob snapped back into reality, "Oh! Im sorry, zoned out there for a moment, yes I am fine, that felt.... a little..... different.... sorry if I was too... uhh.... foreword.... maybe I should leave, Im probably creeping you out, Im sorry Ryan," Jacob blushed, it looked like Ryan wouldn't have the same feelings for him, he tried, he just wished he could keep Ryan as a friend.

"It's alright Jacob..." He murmured and blushed again. "I was just a little surprised by that move... And a little intrigued too," he admitted truthfully. The kiss had felt different, not like when a girl had kissed him. Maybe he was learning to accept his gayness. "It's okay, you don't have to go... Unless you wanna," he added and shrugged lightly.

"Yeh.... I was too, but I don't want to leave, I just.... like I said earlier..... I really like you..." Jacob leaned up quickly and kissed Ryan again, this time on the lips, gently at first, hoping Ryan wouldn't pull away.

Ryan froze again, he hadn't been expecting this, hell no. Mann, Jacob had some nerve. But he was enjoying it, Jacob had nice, soft lips that was unresistable. Before he knew it, he had inched closer and was kissing him back lightly on the lips.

Jacob felt Ryan pulling closer to him, and he pushed his own lips even closer to Ryan's, the feel of their lips together was the best feeling in the world, he didn't want it to end, his entire body was heating up and his heart was beating faster, Ryan was also warm, Jacob began to wrap his arm around Ryan's neck, craning his own to keep their lips together.

Ryan fell into the deep kiss for a moment, but only for a moment. He pulled back shortly afterward and breathed in and out softly. He was even more surprised with himself, had he actually just done that? He blushed slightly, feeling embarresed. Yet, it had felt so good.

Jacob frowned on the inside as he felt Ryan pull away, Jacob couldn't believe what had just happened, Ryan's lips against his.... it just felt so good.... he loved every second of it, "Wow...." was all he could say, looking into Ryan's eyes once more, blushing slightly.

"Yeah... Wow," he murmured and bit his lip. He took a deep breath, trying to figure things out. Did he even like Jacob like that? Was he ready to have a boyfriend? Gawdd. Everything was so confusing. He just hoped he could find the answers for everything.

"Ryan..." Jacob whispered "That... you... amazing...... I.... REALLY like you.... Ryan...." he said between long and shallow breaths. He fell back onto the couch and stared at the ceiling.

"Yeah... I know," he murmured quietly. He had been reminded of that a few times now. He took a deep breath and glanced down at Jacob. "I'm sorry... I really don't know what to say," he said and sighed, he hated feeling like this.

"Neither do I......" Jacob said slowly, staring back at Ryan, "Except that..... I loved it... Ive never felt like that before, never had someone make me feel like that," he whispered in a weak tone, "Im sorry if I made you feel awkward..."

Ryan couldn't help but give him a tiny smile. This is the first time a guy had said that he had loved his kisses, sure girls said it all the time, but this was completely different. "Yeahh erm... I guess it's going to take me a while to get used to," he said quietly.

Jacob rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, "Yeah.... me too....." he smiled, still rubbing the back of his head, it really did feel so different to feel someone's lips so close to his, he hadn't really felt such a connection, nothing like this happened when he kissed Taylor.

Ryan took a deep breath and bit his lip, trying to figure out what to say next. "Uhm well... Just to let you know, you wern't a bad kisser," he said shyly and then blushed, his cheeks turning red for a moment. It had taken a lot of gut to say that that, he'd never exactly thought of admitting that to a guy before.

Jacob didn't know what to say, that comment had really caught him off guard...... had Ryan just said he was a good kisser? Jacob?! "R....really?" he asked shyly, blushing a deep red and burying his face in his hands, smiling to himself, he didn't think anyone wou.ld ever say that.

"Yeah..." He said softly and nodded slowly. This caused him to even blush more. It was a little embarrassing for him, this was definitley a first time.

Jacob knew that any possibility at a normal conversation was lost for now, so he hugged Ryan around the waist and rested his head near Ryan's shoulder, "Im sorry, Ryan... I hope we can still be friends," and then he Ryan a peck on the cheek.

Ryan took a deep breath and nodded slowly. "Of course we can," he said and then bit his lip. He lifted his arms a bit, not sure whether or not to hug him. He finally gave up, slowly wrapping his arms around the guy's back lightly. "It's just going to take a while..." He said.

Jacob whispered into Ryan's ear, "I can wait.... as long as it takes..." Jacob wrapped his arms tighter around Ryan's waist. Ryan's body was warm and inviting, Jacob couldn't move, his head was so clouded he couldn't form anymore sentences in his head.

He smiled at him and then pulled back slowly. "Thanks, I'm glad you understand," he murmured softly. He was still feeling akward, but knew he would be for a long time. He still needed to get some things figured out. "So uhm..." He said, wanting to change the subject.

Jacob smiled, "I think I should head home before my mom gets worried.... Id rather not be grounded," he said standing slowly from the couch and stretching his arms.

"Oh uh yeah, it's probably getting late," he said as he stood up. Now he was curious to what the time was. "I'll walk you to the door," he smiled and offered friendly. He turned off the TV before heading towards the stairs.

Jacob followed Ryan eagerly followed Ryan to the stairs, "Thank you so much Ryan, it was really great, if a little awkward," he said, he really was stretching it a lot there, it was probably the most awkward day of his life, but it was also one of the best.

Ryan chuckled and nodded as he led him to the front door of the house. "Yeah, you're right," he said and smiled slightly. It had definitley been akward, but a little, a lot. Hopefully everything would turn out okay though, Jacob seemed like a nice guy. "Well uh... I'll see ya later then," he said, turning towards him.

Jacob smiled and hugged Ryan quickly before jogging out to the street, he knew where he was now, he looked back and saw Ryan closing the front door, Jacob slowed to a walk and headed home.

Ryan smiled and waved slightly before shutting the door. He sighed inwardly, man. What a day it had been. He stretched his long arms before grabbing his bag off of the ground, ready to hit the books before bed time.

Jacob walked a block or two beofre jogging quickly home, he arrived when the sun was almost set, he opened the front door slowly and silently before stepping lightly inside, he crept cautiously down the hallway to the stairs, but when he passed the living room he knew he was caught. "Jacob Grindle! Where. Have. You. Been?!" his mother yelled.
"I told you I was at a friend's house, I decided to stay a little while to be nice, I didnt want to walk out just as soon as they got there, Im so sorry," Jacob tried to explain, his voice barely more than a whisper as he hung his head and stared at his feet.
"You're going to be sorry! You go to bed right now without dinner! And ou better make sure you come straight home tomorrow or so help me they will have to take me away for what I'll do to you! I almost had a heart attack and called the police! No go to your room!" she screamed at top volume. Jacob just kept his head hung and ran up the stairs, tripping at the top step and falling flat on his face, it took him a minute to stand back up but when he did he ran into his room and shut the door silently before locking it. He jumped into his bed and grabbed his pillow, hugging it tight to his chest, rocking back and forth, fighting back tears, his mom was the worst thing to face after a day like today and he took her full force to the face.

Ryan sighed as he grabbed his backpack and headed up the stairs to do his homework. He walked in, switched on the lights before walking over to his bed and plopping down. He grabbed a pen and yawned, feeling somewhat tired after a long day at school and basketball practice. He took out his math homework and began working on the problems, thinking carefully over each problem to make sure he got them right.

Jacob sat for hours hugging his pillow, gently sobbing into it. But he knew he shouldn't be crying over something so simple, he took deep breaths and slowly rose from his bed shakily. He was soon under control enough to think everything through, and to do that he needed to make a pro/con chart in his head.

I actually kissed Ryan!
He doesn't hate me for it either.
I am gay, and I don't see anything wrong with it anymore.

Mom...
I made Ryan feel awkward
I still have a nagging feeling Ryan can't return the same feelings."

Jacob thought this over for a while, they seemed almost even. but the pros definitely won over the cons. He paced his room for a while, he was becoming very tired and decided it was bedtime. Jacob slowly removed his clothing and staring at his naked complexion and frowned, he knew he would never be nearly as pretty as Ryan, it was a lost cause. He sulkily walked to his bed and lay down, hoping to dream peaceful dreams of his more positive occurrences that day.

Ryan bit on the side of his pencil as he slowly worked through each problem. He was decently smart, but not always the brightest bulb. He studied hard though, trying to average at least B's and C's, and maybe even a few A's. That was the only way he could manage being on the basketball team, and maybe even getting the chance of a scholarship.

The scholarship was practically guaranteed to him, but the chances could drop if his grades did the same. So, he tried hard in school, even if it wasn't his favorite place on the earth. After finishing his math problems, he read his english book for about fifteen minutes. He was starting to get drowsy and didn't want to fall asleep in the middle of his reading. He quickly completed the questions for that night's reading and then put everything away in his backpack.

Ryan got out of bed, setting his backpack to the side afterwards. He walked over, shutting the door before stripping his clothes until he was simply left in his boxers. He stretched a little before turning off the lights and crawling into bed. He knew it wouldn't take him long to fall asleep. but there was a lot on his mind. Particulary, Jacob and what had happen that day. He sighed softly, deciding to save his thoughts for later. He pressed his eyes shut before quickly drifiting off into a deep sleep.

Jacob slept a bit fitfully that night, but not too bad, it seemed as though his mind was waring and he woke up with a blistering headache. He tried standing up and it upset his head and stomach badly so he fell back down onto his bed which didn't help at all; he moaned loudly which caused him mom to come in the room.

"What's wrong now? Are you sick AGAIN, Jacob?" she questioned angrily.

Jacob groaned and tried to block out the yelling with his pillow before muttering loud enough for his mom to hear, "Head..... stomach..... ow.... dizzy," he managed to speak before dropping back into sleep and is mom exiting the room.

Ryan slept peacefully throughout the night, when he was sleeping, there was no chance of waking him again. Well, unless his mom came banging into the room or his alarm blared out. But that wasn't for a while. Until then, Ryan slept heavily, enjoying his long slumber.

Jacob woke later that afternoon, still feeling sick to his stomach but he lifted his body from his bed and made his way to the bathroom, he almost immediately started throwing up, he hated getting sick like this, but he had a weak immune system and this happened a lot. After he finished throwing up he went slowly back to his room and propped his head up on some pillows and turned on his TV to watch something so he wouldn't pass out again. But all day he had a nagging thought in the back of his head about Ryan and the kiss, he really didn't know what to do but now wasn't a time to think about it.

Ryan didn't have a problem sleeping, he abosolutely loved it. He stirred, but it was never enough to actually awake him. He snored softly, but it wasn't loud, thankfully. He was kind of a messy sleeper, all wrapped around with his blanket and pillow.
