Ok! Quick explaination! I am not sure yet if this is a poem written as prose, or if it's a poem. I re-formatted it as more of a poem for DW. (Actually it might be one of my essay's for college.)
If it were to rain music, love would grow in the form of glistening flowers.
The dew would be made of dreams, and the weeds of melancholy ballads.
The rain itself would look like glitter, and would twinkle like little chimes, cascading onto mankind’s wayward souls.
The souls would awaken and realize the world’s beauty- The beauty that was, before, hidden by sheets of polluted water.
They would stumble about in dazes, with all their senses alive.
However,
the glitter shower would cease to replenish the water supply.
In fact, the glitter was reacting with the existing water, causing it to foam and boil. The people of the world would be far to dazzled to care, taking more time to smell the roses and romance.
Without water, the animals, which can’t drink soda or orange juice, began to die off.
Without animals, the people survive solely on processed foods- this wasn’t a huge change for most.
Then, the flowers began to grow larger, as the world slowly filled to the brim with glitter.
As their homes flooded, the people became slightly more alert, and the governments began to make emergency protocols against the love-rain.
How were they to put and end to it?
One man’s bight idea-most likely tainted by the dust- of a giant fan only resulted in the majority of Middle-America inhaling too must rain, and perishing in the ‘dust bowl’.
Eventually, even the flowers began to drown from the music.
The twinkles became clangs as the glitter pooled.
The world was drowning in the music and love.
Chaos and anarchy was spreading, as panicked people were driven mad by love.
Then, one day,
the rain broke, the dust cleared, and the flowers died off.
But what was left?
Only processed food and desert.
There were no more animals, trees, grass, or shrubs.
From the violence, order was lost, possessions stolen, and people were missing.
If it were to rain music, destruction would grow.
I know that premiumdancer hates it, because it makes music seem like a bad thing. But if there was nothing but the inhibition of music, then there would be nothing to stop us. We would lose rational thought.
So tell me what you think!
