Personality: Cyd is loyal to her kind but doesn't necessarily agree with the war they're having. She's usually a nice person but doesn't open up much which makes her seem a little rude.

Cyd walked quietly through the tall grass. She was on patrol today and was in a very bad mood about it. She always got really bored when it came to patrol.

Jonathan leaned against a tree, doing his best to keep his eyes open. Patrolling always put him to sleep, especially when he didn't get much sleep the night before.

[G.J]

Joni wrapped a hand around the hilt of the sword and sighed. Patrolling was a very boring job she presumed and something she did not fancy at all.

River glanced up to the sky, brushing hair from his eyes. He couldn't wait for his shift to be over and for the next group to take over.

Cyd sat down in the grass, almost concealed by it save for the top of her head. She sighed boredly and looked around to see if there was anything to do.

Jonathan picked up the rocks around him and tried to see if he could skip them across the field. He tried and only succeeded once but figured this gave him something to do.

Joni sighed walking slowly. She stopped in her tracks as she heard a faint noise. Light thuds as if something was skipping? Curiousity grabbed her and she ventured off to figure out what was making the noise.

River paused to stretch. He didn't like this job one bit, no one really did. Walking around for hours on end didn't seem like much fun after all. With a sigh he stopped for a moment to lean against a tree and to rest for a moment.

Cyd froze hearing footsteps. She listened intenly hearing them stop. She peeked over the tops of the grass to find someone leaning against a tree.

Jonathan whistled boredly as he continued throwing the rocks across the field. He wasn't paying much attention any more to the things around him.

Joni paused to see a guy standing in a field and she paused. Her hand traced the hilt of the sword as she pondered over the man, was he a demon.

River looked around at the scenary in a boredly matter. He stopped though when he thought he saw something poking out of the grass...that was odd.

Cyd ducked back down after thinking he saw her. She brought her hand to the hilt of her sword, listening for any movement from him.

Jonathan stopped what he was doing when he heard someone approach. He glanced around for the source, his hand gripping his sword hilt.

[G.J]

Joni froze as the other began to glance around. Slowly she sinked down to the ground. Yes, he was a demon. She slowly began to retreat, but tensed up as a twig snapped beneath her foot.

Curious, River strode forward to examine the grass. There was something in there, he was dead sure about. He foundn't rest now until he figured out what.

Cyd heard the footsteps walking toward her. She crept through the grass, trying to quickly get away from the man.

"I know you're there,"Jonathan said, unsheathing his sword and slowly walking around to where he heard the twig snap.

[G.J]

River stopped for a moment, pausing to hear the ruffling of the grass. Grinning, he quickened his steps, following the noise.

Joni bit her lower lip as he spoke. She backed away more, increasing her speed. She paused to listen to his footsteps to determine how far he was from her.

Cyd figured she didn't have a chance just crawling away so instead she hopped up quickly and took off into the opposite direction.

Moving with inhuman speed, Jonathan appeared behind Jodi. "I suggest you don't move,"he said, sword pointing at her back.

[G.J]

"Hey!" River exclaimed seeing her pop up and run off. He then began to pursue her, trying to catch up with the angel.

Joni gasped and froze where she was. Tension rolled through her body, her hand still upon the hilt of her sword. Counting to three mentally in her head she whisked around, pulling her own sword out to clash with and block his.

Cyd glanced back before heading into the trees around her. She ran quickly through the trees, recieving a few scratches from the outstretched branches.

"You're fast for an angel,"Jonathan said, pressing his blade against hers.

[G.J]

River grinned, he was wrong. Patrolling today was turning out to be fun, a chase and everything. Once in the trees he quickened his pace to keep the angel in view.

"Good thing," Joni said between gritted teeth. She steadied herself, getting a better more secure pose before returning the pressure onto his blade as well.

Cyd looked around for a way to get away and found none. She quickened her pace, her hair making it hard to see.


Jonathan smirked, pressing harder with his blade. "How long do you think you'll last against a demon,"he asked.

[G.J]

With a grin, River decided to keep this chase going on, rather than going his fastest and catching her easily. It made things interesting he thought.

Joni pressed in harder as well, not giving in just yet. She knew she wouldn't be able to hold her blade up against his for a long. "Long enough," she replied back.

"Way out, way out,"Cyd mutterted. She looked up and jumped into the branches of the trees. She hoped she would stay concealed behind the many leaves.

"Oh I doubt that,"Jonathan, kicking her feet out from under her. He pointed his sword down at her throat.

[G.J]

River grinned as he leaped up through the tree branches. Oh the leaves did nothing for her. Now that he knew she was there he could sense her, where ever she went. It fed his drive to give him the energy boost.

Joni cried out as she was caught by suprised and landed on her back with an 'omph.' Swallowing she looked up at him, trying to figure her next move, thinking as quickly as she could.

"Oh c'mon,"Cyd mutterted, leaping from branch to branch. Hopefully he couldn't move as fast as her in trees.

"Nowhere for you to go,"Jonathan said, looking down at her. He felt a little bad all of the sudden as he watched her. He didn't think he would catch her like this and was unsure of what to do now that he had.

River grinned, getting slightly bored with it. With a sigh he increased his speed, henceforth catching up with her. It wouldn't be long now.

"Really?" Joni questioned raising a brow. Keeping an eye on the blade she moved swiftly, shifting downward and kicking out at his own feet, unbalancing him and if she was lucky it would make him fall. She twisted and rolled so if his blade was to catch anything it would be her shoulder rather her neck. Hopping back up to her feet she smirked at him, "You should watch your own feet."

Cyd swung from branch to branch, trying desperately to avoid him. She knew he was gaining and figured it wouldn't be long til her caught her.

"Wow. Good job,"Jonathan said, looking up at her from the ground. He would've been angrier but his previous thoughts still distracted him.

[G.J]

River grinned, they were only a few more branches apart. Closing in, he pulled out his sword ready to strike once he caught up. Which was only mere seconds. He swung his sword around towards her.

Joni was caught off guard, looking clueless. Had..had he just complimented her? That was..startling.

Cyd suddenly dropped from the trees, landed on the ground in a heap. "Ouch,"she said, doing her best to get up. She hurt her leg but figured it was better than having her head chopped off by the demon.

"If you're going to kill me, make it fast. The ground's uncomfortable,"Jonathan said after realizing his sword was out of his reach having been knocked out of his hand by the fall.

[G.J]

River swung from the trees, landing on the ground a couple yards away from her. He grinned, "Hello little Angel."

Joni stared at him before stuttering, "I-I can't." She shook her head and took a deep breath gaining ahold of herself, "It's unhonorable...you're unarmed."

Cyd stood up, her unsheathed sword in hand. She was a little wobbly on her legs but she would manage.

"Really? Well would you mind helping me up,"Jonathan asked.

[G.J]

"How does the angel fair?" River questioned a grin following. "After one has fallen from the skies."

"Umm uh." Joni was so confused right now. It was all so strange. "Well...okay then?" She took a step forward and reached a wary hand towards him, slightly unsure.

[MuchoMachoMachine]

"Like I'm going to tell you,"Cyd said angrily, watching him with hard eyes.

"Thank you,"Jonathan said, taking her hand and standing up. He grabbed his sword and sheathed it. "Thanks for not killing me too,"he said turning towards her.

[G.J]

River laughed, "Now now. No reason to be so angry."

"You don't need to thank me," Joni replied pausing for a moment where she was. "It would have been disrespectable...more like murder really. To kill you when you yourself were unarmed."

[MuchoMachoMachine]

"Yes I do! I just jumped out of a tree and hurt my leg because you were chasing me,"Cyd cried exasperated.

"Very true. I won't tell anyone you let me go,"Jonathan said, smiling at her.

[G.J]

"Oh?" River asked clueless. "Your leg's hurt? How so?"

"Oh uh...thanks," Joni looked towards Jonathan, somehow bringing a smile out in return. This was all just too weird.

[MuchoMachoMachine]

"How so? I don't know! I didn't have time to look until you jumped in front of me,"Cyd said, rolling her eyes.

"Well I guess we should part ways...,"Jonathan said awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck.

[G.J]

"Hum...that's no good now is it?" River questioned tilting his head. "How about....I jump back into the tree, you check it out. Then I jump back out? What about that?"

"Umm..yes I believe so," Joni replied slowly. This was...strange. She unfolded her wings. "Goodbye?"

[MuchoMachoMachine]

"Or how bout you just leave and I check my leg and we forgot this even happened,"Cyd suggested sarcastically.

"Unless you patrol here tomorrow then I might see you then,"Jonathan said shrugging.

[G.J]

"Awww," River pouted, "but there's no fun in that."

"Umm uh yeah. I think I will be patrolling tomorrow night." Joni replied shrugging.

[MuchoMachoMachine]

"Maybe for you but it's much less painful for me,"Cyd retorted.

"Then I will see you then,"Jonathan said, moving past her.

[G.J]

River tilted his head, "Hmm..now how is it more painful then?"

Joni nodded and watched Jonathon leave before turning and heading back off to her patrol as well.

"Because then I could take the time to maybe fix my leg before you jumped down and started this over again. I'd be able to sit down and take the pressure off of it,"Cyd said matter-of-factly.

[G.J]

"Hmm," River thought, "Good point. Well...when you're ready..wave."

[MuchoMachoMachine]

"So you're just going to sit in the tree while I check my leg and when I wave you're going to come back down? How do I know you won't ambush me when I bend over to check it,"Cyd asked, raising an eyebrow at him.

[G.J]

River pouted, "You don't trust me? Come on...I may be a demon but that doesn't mean I don't keep my word."

"...Fine. Go into the tree,"Cyd said, gesturing to the tree above them.

[G.J]

River grinned, "Okay!" He jumped into the tree and hid up within the branches and leaves.

Cyd shook her head before sitting down on the ground. She rolled up the leg of her pants. She examined finding that it wasn't broken, just bruised and a little strained. "I'm done,"she called, standing back up.
