I'd like to think this is fairly easy-to-understand poem. Either way, I'd love to hear what you think.

"The Estrogen Blues"
I demand autonomy,
no rules for my body.
Condescension brings
only hatred.
I rust with disuse.
An empty comfort
the patriarchy hands us.
We are expected
to smile, demurely, and say:
Look at that wonderful wife!
What children she has!
Brazen insults
that burn like acid
through my veins
to my heart:
explode!
Like a jaw of iron.
Like little bits of my
mothers who are
screaming in death.
We rust with disuse.
Why do we stray?

*sigh* No one ever has anything to say about my poems like this. Maybe I should clarify that it's about all kinds of angst? Would that make everyone care?

Definitely a very colorful and insightful((if read in that manor))
view on the tribulations, internal struggles and conflicts imposed on the female gender by mother nature.

I found it both, expressive and informative at the same time.

I'm glad I read it.

It's interesting that you thought I meant that mother nature is the giver of injustice. I'm actually blaming both men and women (men for beginning the cycle, [some] women for deciding to continue it). But you appear to be male, so I guess the feminist thing isn't a natural reaction for you.

But thanks for your comments and for actually acknowledging my poem. :]
