Personality: Ryanna is a very strong and stable individual. She doesn't take to others kindly, nor does she trust easily. She is very sweet and loving when you break through her barriers.
Strengths: Her strong will and indipendant personality never fails her when she needs it.
Weaknesses: She tends to stuggle with her slightly rebellious nature causes her to act without thinking of the rest of the guild at times.
Short Bio: Ryanna has always lived on the streets. Her mother abandoned her not being able to care for her. She lived as a gypsy for quite some time before joining the guild where she worked her way up since she was fourteen.
Current Goals: To take the life of the tyrant

Personality: Vincent is usually very calm and level headed. He is still young but eager to take his fathers place and follow his legacy. Though he is very ignorant.
Strengths: He is a very strong leader, when he can get people to listen.
Weaknesses: He lacks the ability to effectivly give orders because he lacks confidence.
Short Bio: Vincent doesn't have much of a concept of life outside the stone walls of his home. He refuses to believe that the villagers could have so many problems.

I shall start now.

A soft sigh escaped Ryanna's lips as she overlooked the guilds head quarters. They had located it in the sewers under a cemetery knowing that very few would ever think to look there. She tossed a lock of her hair from her face as she glanced at the remaining members who had not got out for the day. Mostly young children or the old, too weak to do much of anything rather than try to steal what they all needed to survive. Though, with the current plan in place, they wouldn't need to scourge the streets for much longer. If all went well to Jadis' plan.

Vincent meandered his way down the corridors of the castle. He found himself rather bored for the most part. He was currently looking for a sparring partner, though, he wasn't having much luck at the current moment. His father was busy doing lord knows what. He has been secretive the past few days, and Johnathan seems to have disappeared from the grounds, hence his in need of a sparring partner. He shrugged it off as he continued on his way.

Jadis checked her outfitt before coming out of her small room. She had been hired as an extra stable hand and also occasionally a serving maid. She glanced around the large hallway as she headed outside to the stables.

Jonathan took a deep breath before emerging into the open area. He looked around at the small amount of people around him. Most were sleeping but a few were eating scraps of food. He wasn't sure what to do so took a seat on the cleanest spot on the ground he could find.

Vincent continued walking, being lost in his thoughts, he wasn't paying much attention to what was going on around him. He rounded a corner and ran head long into someone. He took a step back and looked at the girl. He didn't recognize her in the slightest. "Let me apologies Miss, I wasn't paying attention," he said softly. Though ignorant to the outside world, he was very kind to those who worked in the castle.

Ryanna glanced over her shoulder as someone walked in. She didn't know him, and he seemed to be dressed far to well to be on the streets in a thieves guild. "Is there something I can help you with?" she asked in a cold tone with a stare equally as icy.

"No need to apologize your Highness. Neither was I,"Jadis said, trying to ignore the fact that she wanted to punch him. Not only because he ran into her but also because he was the son of her enemy.

"Oh, I was just wondering if I could stay here. You see, I used to work for a lord but I stole some clothes, these clothes actually, from him and he caught me. I needed somewhere to escape from his guards so I came here. I hope thats fine,"Jonathan explained, standing up as she came over.

Vincent studied her for a brief moment. "I'm afraid I don't recognise you. Who are you?" he asked still studying her. She seemed to have a fairly strong build, but still slender. He found it remarkable. He remained silent waiting for an answer.


Ryanna looked over him for a moment. There were no signs of a struggle that would even suggest he was caught on his person. "How can I be sure you aren't lying?" she asked in the same cold tone, adding a bit more bite to it. "And how did you come to find us?" she added quickly after.

"Oh I'm J... Jaselle. I started work as a stable hand today and also a serving maiden,"Jadis answered, smiling like any servant would.

"Well they managed to to cut my arm and leg,"Jonathan said, showing a tear in his sleeve with a still bleeding cut on it as well as the one on his leg. "And I had a friend who escaped here and told me where it was. He's needed clothes and that's why I stole these. He didn't make it off the grounds though,"he said sadly.

Vincent nodded gently as he smiled. "Well, Jaselle, I shall let you get back to work, so I may continue to find a sparring partner," he said as he began to head down the hallway.

Ryanna was hesitant for a moment. He could have just as easily placed the cuts there himself. She rolled her eyes as she grabbed a small rag and wet it down in a small basin of water. She knelt down and started roughly cleaning the cut on his arm. "Whats your name?" she asked losing some of the venom she held in her tone.

"A sparring partner? I'd be glad to help. Unless you don't wish to fight with a servant that is,"Jadis said, unable to pass up the oppurtunity for a sparring match.

"I'm Jonathan. And you are,"he inquired, watching her clean his wound.

Vincent stoped walking and turned facing Jaselle. "You would be willing to spar with me?" he asked not really caring that she was female or a servant at this point. She seemed confident, so he would if she so desired.

"Ryanna," she replied simply as she finished with his arm and moved to the wound on his leg. "If you wish to stay, you have to earn your keep, and I do mean earn. You must provide what you can for everyone and they will do the same," she explained glancing up at him from his leg.

"Of course,"Jadis replied smiling despite herself. Her father was a blacksmith and had taught her how to fight with a sword ever since she was 7.

"Meaning stealing food and the like right,"Jonathan asked, looking down at her.

Vincent smiled as he nodded. "Then I will gladly accept you to spar with me. I shall go collect my sword and I shall meet you outside near the stables in fifteen minutes," he said as he started off again.

Ryanna nodded gently. "Yes, but we only steal what we need. That may mean food, clothing, medicine, whatever we need at the time," she said looking back down at his leg as she finished cleaning it.

"See you then,"Jadis said, watching his disappear around the corner. She ducked back into her room and pulled her sword out of the bottom of the trunk she had there. She looked at it for a second before heading out and to the stables.

"Am I going to need any medicine,"Jonathan asked, smiling lightly as she finished up.

Vincent made his way to his room. He took the sheathed sword from its stand beside his bed. He placed the belt around his waist before he started to make his way outside to the stables.

Ryanna shook her head. "For this, no," she said as she stood up to gather a few bandages. She returned briefly and started dressing his wounds. "For trying to escape, these are mild, I've dealt with worse," she said looking up at him.

Jadis breathed in deeply once she was outside, enjoying the smell. It smelled better up here than the sewer obviously and was grateful to be outside.

"I'm a fast runner,"Jonathan said, winking at her. He actually was which was probably the first truthful thing he'd said while being here.

Vincent walked outside slowly. His mind started wandering to where Jonathan was sent. He shrugged lightly as he sighed. He was just thrilled that he found someone who seemed to know what they were doing. He made his way to the stables seeing Jaselle already out there.

Ryanna rolled her eyes gently. She hadn't believed a word he had said since stepping foot inside. "I'm glad you seem to think so," she replied to him deciding to go along see how far it would go before he showed her his true intentions. She'd have to be cautious around him, with what she says and how she acts.

"You ready,"Jadis asked, unsheathing her sword. She had a feeling she was really going to enjoy this and hopefully not get carried away.

"Do people here just sleep wherever,"Jonathan asked, not really sure how this place operated.

Vincent smiled as he unsheathed his sword in turn. "Of course. Are you?" he asked as he remained about eight or nine paces away from her for room to move during their little sparing match.

Ryanna nodded gently. "Basically it's you sleep on whatever you can find. The small cots we have are generally for the ill or the severely wounded," she said as she glanced around slowly at the other members.

"Always,"Jadis replied, planting her feet firmly at a decent space away from him.

"I see. Oh yes. I was able to grab some food from the lord's table before I was caught,"Jonathan said, taking a small bundle of fruit and bread from a knapsack he carried.

Vincent fell into his normal fighting stance as he turned to face Jaselle. A light smirk crossed his lips as he watched her carefully. He had a feeling it might take some time before one of them decided to attack first.

Ryanna looked at him warily as she glanced down at the the bundle he had. "May I?" she asked offering to take it, attempting to be polite.

Jadis watched him carefully. She never made the first move and figured he wouldn't either. "This is going to take all day if we keep on like this,"she said after a few minutes had passed.

"Of course,"Jonathan said smiling and handing the bag over to her.

"Ladies first," Vincent said continueing to watch her. Her refused to make the first move, and he knew that she wasn't going to either. They seemed to be at a bit of an impass.

Ryanna took the bag and placed it on the small table set up. She set some of the fruit out and placed the bread to the side for the time being. "Thank you," she said as she looked at Jonathan, though the air was still heavy with caution around her.

"I think in this situation, the Prince goes first,"Jadis said stubbornly. She wasn't going to make the first move so tried to convince him to.

"Anything I can do to help,"Jonathan said. She could tell she didn't trust him and he didn't trust her either.

Vincent sighed softly. "I don't believe that is proper etiquette," he said still refusing to move as he watched her.

Ryanna took an apple from the table and took the small knife that was beside the bread and cut off two small pieces. She walked back over to Jonathan handing him one.

"Oh c'mon your Highness,"Jadis said relaxing her stance. She was getting bored and wished he would just go first.

"Thank you,"Jonathan said smiling as he took the piece of apple.

Vincent sighed once again about ready to give in. He was never the first one to attack, but he was about to make an exception. He moved into an attack stance and lunged at her just wanting to get started knowing both of them were getting bored with standing around.

Ryanna gave him a gentle nod as she walked over to one of the cots. She sat down beside the boy who wasn't over the age of ten. She handed him the small slice with a smile brushing his golden hair from his eyes.

Jadis fell back into stance and met his sword with her's with a loud clang. The sound reverberated in her ears.

Jonathan watched her and the boy, feeling a slight twang of sadness. He stuck his hand in his knapsack and finally pulled out a small wooden horse and soilder. He got up, walking of to Ryanna and the boy. He held his hand to the boy, the wooden figurines in his palm.

The sound of the metal from their swords clashing against the other filled the air around them with the vibrations of its brief note. Vincent pulled away watching her closely trying to guess her move.

Ryanna watched him closely as he gave the boy the small figurines. "This is Daniel. He's had a fever for almost three days now," she explained softly. She watched him slowly nibble on the apple as he examined the small soldier and horse that was given to him.

Jadis twirled her sword in her hand before bringing her sword down towards him in a wide arc.


"Has he been given any medicine for it,"Jonathan asked, watching the boy with sad eyes.

Vincent parried the blow taking a step back. He swiftly countered her attack, swinging his blade up in a small arc.

Ryanna sighed softly as she looked up at Jonathan. "Yes, on a few occasions, it just doesn't seem to be taking any effect. Then even if we all scrounged together what little money we have, it wouldn't be enough for a doctor," she explained in a very melancholy tone.

Jadis blocked it easily, pushing him backwards. She blew a few strands of hair out of her face so she could see.

"Have you tried sweating out the fever,"Jonathan asked quietly.

Vincent was surprised at this girls skill with a sword. He quickly shrugged it off as he stayed in a defensive stance for a moment trying to calculate his next move, or giving an attempt to read what she was going to do.

"We have tried, but that involves a fair amount of blankets. Which we don't have," Ryanna said with a sigh. "If there weren't so many taxes on everything we might be able to get what we need. This is quite frequent down here," she said noticing his expression.

Jadis watched him, thinking what to do next when a voice interuppted them. The King stood nearby, watching them with raised eyebrows. "Vincent, what're you doing,"he asked calmly, his eyes on Jadis.

"I might be able to get some blankets. If we get enough we can warm stones in a fire and tuck them around him,"Jonathan said thoughtfully.

Vincent turned quickly being startled by his father's voice. His fixed his posture making sure it was perfect. "I was simply sparring, Father," he replied keeping his eyes down slightly.

Ryanna looked at him for a moment. "How would you plan on doing that?" she asked referring to the blankets. "The stones would work, but there would need to be a fire constantly going and someone always at his side."

[MuchoMachoMachine]

"Yes I see but with the new stable hand who also happens to be a girl? You can do better,"the King said, turning his gaze to Vincent. Jadis' eyes flashed with anger but she kept her mouth shut.

"The servants at the castle hang blankets to dry in trees. I could get some there,"Jonathan replied.

[poisoned_heart]

"This wouldn't have happened if Jonathan hadn't have vanished," Vincent said as he glanced apologetically at Jaselle before turning a hard gaze back to his father. "She is quite talented as well," he added.

Ryanna gave a gentle nod as she thought for a moment. She still didn't trust him, though the man could come in handy. He apparently knew enough about the castle. She just wasn't ready to trust that he would follow through with it.

[MuchoMachoMachine]

"Jonathan is away on important business. I'm sure there were others here who would've sparred with you. And as for you,"the King said turning to Jadis,"I suggest you get back to work." And with that, he walked off. Jadis took a calming breath then sheathed her sword, still looking away from Vincent.

"I shall get them tonight. It'd be to risky if I went when it's light out,"Jonathan said, smiling down at the boy.

Vincent sighed softly as he glanced at Jaselle. "I'm sorry about that. I didn't believe that he would have reacted like that," he said sincerely. What official business? he thought as he sheathed his sword.

"I never would have guessed," Ryanna said as she rolled her eyes. She watched him closely still not trusting him around herself, let alone any of the others.

"It's not your fault... I should probably go though,"Jadis said, looking over at him.

"Thanks again for letting me stay here,"Jonathan said, nodding to her before going back to where he'd left his stuff.

Vincent nodded knowing that was a good idea knowing the trouble she could get in if she didn't. "Well, thank you for briefly sparring with me," he said with a small smile as he started walking back inside.

Ryanna glanced over at him. "Of course," she replied softly as she finished cutting the apple into small thin slices. She arranged them on a plate leaving it on the table as she cleared off the rest of the fruit putting it with the other supplies.

"Yeah. I'll be at the stables if you ever need another sparring partner,"Jadis said before heading off in the other direction.

Jonathan pulled a block of wood and a small knife out of his knapsack. He began slowly shaving away the pieces, the wood shavings falling on the ground around him.

"I'll remember that," Vincent said before she was completely out of earshot. He walked back into the castle to continue his aimless meandering.

Ryanna sighed softly as she took the apple sliced around to the other members. She glanced at Jonathan out of the corner of her eyes every so often. He knew she didn't trust him and he didn't trust her. It was fair, though it would be a little difficult for the next few days.

Jadis plopped down in one of the stalls, the large, black horse laying down next to her. She patted it's back absent mindedly as she thought of how to bring down the King. She could've today but Vincent was there.

Jonathan glanced at the people here. Nothing they were doing told him of their plans against the King which made his job a lot harder.

Vincent was simply trying to figure out what was going on. He sighed softly knowing his father wouldn't say anything to him. He glanced around for a moment being thrown back into his boredom. He started to head back to his room slowly.

Ryanna sighed softly as she glanced at Daniel who had fallen asleep. She knelt beside him taking the small wooden figures from his hand and placed them beside him. She glanced over at Jonathan briefly. "Did you make them?" she asked noticing that he was craving something, or seemed to be.

Jadis was on the cusp of falling asleep when a horn blew in the distance. She could hear the thundering of hooves coming into the courtyard by the stables. She looked out the stable doors to see group of the King's guard gathered in the courtyard. "Well what's going on,"she mused, watching them.

"Indeed I did,"Jonathan replied, glancing at her before continuing his work.

Vincent glanced out his window into the courtyard hearing the horn. "What is he planning?" he asked himself inquiring what was going through his father's head.

"They're quite good," Ryanna commented as she sat beside him, attempting to make a civilized conversation. She glanced at him for a moment.

"What is it,"the King asked, coming into the courtyard. "A group of raiders attacked a nearby Lord and our heading this way,"one of the soldiers answered. "Take your men and set up ranks by the forest,"the King instructed. The men nodded and went to do as told. Jadis simply watched, already bored with it all.

"Why thank you. My dad taught me how to do it,"Jonathan said, smiling over at her.

Vincent shook his head gently as he walked away from the window. He sighed softly as he glanced back out at the stables.

Ryanna dropped her head slightly at his father comment. "He must have been talented as well," she said softly as she looked at him for a moment.

"Boring. Nothing fun happens here,"Jadis said to the horse that was standing next to her. She climbed up to the loft part of the stable and sat down in the soft hay up there.

"He really was,"Jonathan said, looking over at her and smiling sadly.

Vincent was bored out of his mind. He walked out of his room and headed outside. He walked over to the stables slowly not having anything else to do.

Ryanna looked up at him. "What?" she asked noticing his expression held a bit of sadness in it. She didn't need him feeling sorry for her.

"You sure you're allowed to be out here,"Jadis asked, looking down from the rafters at the approaching Vincent.

"Nothing, just smiling,"Jonathan replied, a little puzzled. He had just smiled right?

Vincent looked up hearing a familiar voice. "Last time I checked I was allowed to ride my own horse," he replied as he looked up in the rafters at her.


"There's sadness in your expression," Ryanna said as she watched him. Maybe she shouldn't have snapped at him, but she really didn't care.

"I should help then. This is what I was hired for,"Jadis said, hopping out of the rafters. "Which one's yours,"she asked, picking straw out of her hair.

"Well my father's not alive anymore. Bit of a sad subject to talk about,"Jonathan replied.

Vincent gestured to a red mare in one of the stalls toward the back. "This beautiful girl," he said walking over to the horse gently stroking her neck.

Ryanna snorted softly. "At least you had the chance to know him," she said softly. "I never knew either my father or my mother. My mother abandoned me when I was less than a year old."

"She is quite pretty,"Jadis said, pulling down a saddle and blanket to go under it.

"I'm sorry to hear that. My mom died giving birth to me but my dad did his best to raise me right,"Jonathan said thoughtfully.

Vincent watched as she got the saddle and blanket. "Can I help with anything? he asked, used to doing this on his own. He didn't really mind at all.

"I'm sorry for your loss," Ryanna said softly as she looked at him. "How long ago did you lose your father?" she asked being completely sincere for the first time since she had met him.

"You're doing it all. I'm just getting the supplies,"Jadis said, throwing the blanket at him.

"About 5 years. He worked locally as a craftsman,"Jonathan replied thoughtfully.

Vincent caught the blanket as he shook his head. He placed the blanket over the mare's back. He walked over to Jaselle taking the saddle from her. "Thank you," he said as he walked back over to the horse.

"What happened?" Ryanna asked softly as she watched his expressions.

"You're welcome. You got it under control,"Jadis asked, leaning against the stall and watching him work.

"He'd been sick for a while and one day while he was carving he just collapsed,"Jonathan replied, turning over the small block of wood in his hand.

Vincent placed the saddle on the horse's back. He secured it slowly. He walked over to the equipment and grabbed the reins that matched the brown saddle. "Would you care to do go for a ride with me?" he asked as he slipped the reins on the horse, easing the bit into her mouth.

Ryanna looked down at the ground for a moment. "I'm sorry. I know how that can be. It's hard to watch someone go through that," she explained softly.

"Would it be acceptable,"Jadis asked, not wanting to be led into the temptation of hurting his father in front of him.

"No worries. He lived a long, fruitful life,"Jonathan said, smiling over at her.

Vincent thought for a moment before replying. "I don't see why not. I am sorry about my father. He just expects a great deal from everyone, I'm not an exception since I am taking the throne in time," he explained.

Ryanna smiled weakly. "But what about those who haven't? Young children die in the street everyday. The pitiful excuse for a king," she paused spitting as she said king, "doesn't care." She glanced over at Daniel for a moment.

"If you say so,"Jadis said shrugging. She quickly saddled her own horse before mounting. "Well c'mon your Highness,"she said, walking her horse past him.

"Yeah you're right,"Jonathan said, though he was lying. He actually did think that some of the taxes he posted were ridiculously high but he couldn't speak out. He had family to take care of and his job was important.

Vincent mounted his horse as he trotted the mare out of the stables passing Jaselle on the way. "I thought you were the one waiting for me," he said with a light smirk as he sent his horse into a gallop heading for the hills on the east side of the castle.

Ryanna glanced back at Jonathan for a moment as she sighed. "An arrow needs to pierce that man's heart," she said venomously.

Jadis smiled, shaking her head and followed him up the hill.

"Indeed,"Jonathan said, nodding in agreement, feeling a little guilty.

Vincent smiled as he pulled the reins back on his horse so she came to a stop. He glanced over his shoulder at Jaselle with a small smile.

Ryanna sighed softly as she pulled her knees up to her chest. "Not much we can do about now, is there?" she asked softly as she glanced up at him.

"I never realized how large this place was,"Jadis said smiling back as she stopped her horse by his.

Vincent nodded gently. "I guess its a different perspective when you haven't lived in the castle your entire life," he said softly with a sigh. "Come on, I want to show you something," he said as he started his horse into a gallop again going down the opposite side of the hill.

Ryanna sighed softly as she looked at the ground. She found it odd that he would think that. "How long did you work for him?" she asked turning her attention back to him.

Jadis spurred her horse on and followed behind him. She looked around them as they went, never really realizing how beautiful it was here.

"Work for who,"Jonathan asked, a little startled.

Vincent slowed the mare as they came upon a small meadow. The tall grass surrounding a couple of trees and a brook. The tranquil expression on his face said a few things along the lines of he often came here.

"Them man who calls himself a king," Ryanna answered tilting her head taking note to his startled reaction.

"Wow,"Jadis breathed as she stopped her horse. She looked around at the meadow, taken aback but the simply beauty in it.

"Why would you think I ever worked for him,"Jonathan asked, keeping his face smooth when on the inside, his stomach was churning nervously.

Vincent laughed softly as he dismounted his horse. "I come here often," he said to her with a smile. "It's peaceful and calming," he added.

"Either you worked for him, or you are loyal to him. There was a slight glint of guilt in your eyes a few moments ago," Ryanna explained as she watched him.

"I'd live here considering how calm it is,"Jadis said, getting off as well. She;d always lived in loud places where sleeping was always a hassel due to loud neighbors.

"You don't miss a thing... I used to work for him to pay for medicine for my younger sister,"Jonathan answered, afraid for her reaction.

"I guess living in the town isn't quite as calm or quiet is it?" Vincent asked rather curious. "I haven't been outside the castle much, if that wasn't obvious," he said as he looked over at her.

Ryanna looked at him a bit suspiciously. "Not normally, and I believe you said you're mother died in childbirth when having you," she said now a little on edge as she watched his expressions.

"Yeah kind of is,"Jadis replied. "Well living in a castle means that you don't have to constantly worry about where your next meals going to come from which is a good thing,"she said, walking into the meadow.

"My dad got remarried for money but she left him for a younger man. She was their child,"Jonathan said. All of what he was telling her actually happened. He didn't like to share unless need be.

Vincent looked a bit confused as he followed her. "I'm not sure what you mean," he said tilting his head to the side as he looked at her.

Ryanna searched his eyes for any sign that he way lying, though there was nothing but truth as far as she could tell. She gave a simple nod. "What happened to your sister?"

"What I mean is you don't have to worry about anything,"Jadis said, glancing back at him.

"She was born not being able to breathe well. There's not a cure but there's some medicine that can help clear her lungs,"Jonathan answered.

Vincent looked down at the ground. "I guess it isn't as easy outside the stone walls I live in, is it? he asked feeling guilty about not knowing what was going on.

That hit Ryanna, physically and emotionally. "I'm sorry," she said softly as she looked away from him briefly trying to regather herself.

"No but we survive. And don't feel bad. I don't expect you to know everything about the world outside the castle,"Jadis said, feeling bad for being the reason for the sad look on his face.

"Thank you for your sympathy. It's appreciated,"Jonathan said, smiling over at her.

Vincent glanced up at her. "I want to know, it's just my father has been so secretive about everything lately. I wish I could know what was going through the man's head at times," he explained quietly.

Ryanna just gave a silent gentle nod. She had a rather soft spot in her heart for children. She sighed softly as she glanced up at him for a brief moment.

"Why is he so secretive lately,"Jadis asked, watching him.

"Don't worry. She's doing a bit better now,"Jonathan reassured her. He'd been able to hire someone to take care of her and everyday he visited, she seemed much healthier.

"I wish I knew why," Vincent said with a soft sigh. "Something about a group of rebels or something along those lines," he said sitting down in the grass.

"I'm glad to hear that," Ryanna said as she glanced over at him for a moment, regaining her composer.

"Oh. That would cause problems,"Jadis agreed, sitting down a little ways away from him.

"She's the reason why I'm here. The taxes make it hard to pay for her medicine. But we're faring better now,"Jonthan explained.

Vincent looked at her. "I really don't know what to do, but I want to help in some way. Though, that involves knowing what's going on outside the world I lie in," he explained returing his gaze to the meadow.

Ryanna nodded. "That is the reason we need to steal everything. Even a gypsy in this town can't rely on skill alone. It's such a hassle," she sighed knowing what it was like to try and live both ways.

"Have you ever tried sneaking out and going to see the city,"Jadis asked, picking small flowers out of the ground around her.

"Yes it is. Now that money is basically in short supply for everyone, it's harder to steal what's needed,"Jonathan said.

Vincent shook his head. "No, honestly I've never even thought about it," he replied sighing. "You think that could work?" he asked with a gentle tilt of his head.

"I wouldn't say everyone," Ryanna snorted softly as she glanced at him. "Anyone living in the upper class or that is royalty still leads the same lifestyle they have for years," she said bitterly.

"It might if it's all planned out right,"Jadis replied, glancing over at him.

"Yes there are them. Are they the ones you usually steal from here,"Jonathan asked.

Vincent thought for a moment. It would be a way he would be able to see what was going on in the world outside of his own. "I could do with a bit of help if I decided to do something along those lines," he said after a moment.

"Yes and no," Ryanna said. "It really depends on what we need at the time, but we do try and target the wealthy."

"Does that mean your asking me for help,"Jadis asked, lifting an eyebrow.

"I see. How many people take part in this,"Jonathan inquired curiously.

"If you're interested," Vincent replied watching her. He knew no one else in the castle would help him, she was his hope of that succeeding.

"There are a few of us," Ryanna replied simply not wanting to give him a specific number, still refusing to trust him.

"As long as I don't get in trouble, why not,"Jadis said, shrugging. This would probably be the only adventure she would have in a while and was eager for it.

"Still don't trust me eh? Can't say I blame you in times like these,"Jonathan said, smiling at her wistfully.

"I'll take the blame if we get caught," Vincent said with a small smile. "Thank you."

"Quite honestly, I don't, nor do you trust me," Ryanna replied expressionless.

"My pleasure. I am but a humble servant,"Jadis said, grinning at him. Even though she hated his father, he was easier to be around and found she rather liked talking to him.

"Quite true,"Jonathan said, nodding in agreement.

Vincent smiled a bit. She was different than the other servants that were at the castle. She had personality and she was interesting to talk with.

"I believe we have good reason not to trust each other," Ryanna said as she turned to him. "And it will stay that way for quite some time."

"When do you plan to carry this action out,"Jadis asked, looking over at him.

"I would be dishonored if it didn't,"Jonathan said, grinning at her.

"I was hoping tonight if that wouldn't be too out of the question," Vincent replied, hopinh it wouldn't be.

"You are an odd man," Ryanna said simply as she stood up slowly. "Just as a warning, some of the other members, may not be as cordial as I am," she said as she walked over to check on Daniel.

"Tonight's fine. Have a meeting place in mind,"Jadis asked.

"Thanks. Good to know,"Jonathan called to her, watching her as she walked away before turning back to his small block of wood.

Vincent nodded gently. The eastern corridor on the ground floor," he explained wondering if she knew where it was, though it generally wasn't that difficult to find.

Ryanna knelt beside the cot making sure the boy was still breathing. She continuously glanced at up at Jonathan.

"You're going to have to show me where it is. I haven't seen much of the castle yet,"Jadis said, smiling sheepishly at him.

Jonathan wittled away at the small block, beginning to carve a small bear in the wood.

"It's understandable," Vincent said with a nod knowing that she was fairly knew. "I'll show you when we get back," he said with a smile.

Ryanna glanced up periodically as a few guild members walked in and out. A few pulling her off to the side to speak with her. She made her way back over to the small table where she started thinly slicing one of the older loaves of bread.

"Alright. Do you have a plan for getting back in,"Jadis asked.

Jonathan looked at the members who had just entered for a bit before returning his attention to the wood in his hand.

Vincent shook his head. "No, not in the slightest," he said with a small sheepish smile. He had thought about it, he just couldn't figure out a way to make something work.

Ryanna walked over to a small cabinet. She took a stack of plates from it. She handed them around and eventually handed one to Jonathan. "When were you planning on going to get the blankets?" she asked him waiting for the other members to get their food before she did.

"Well do you plan to enter directly into your room or into a different place,"Jadis asked.

"As soon as I finished this, which would be right now,"Jonathan said, holding up the small, wooden bear figurine.

"Probably at a different location to my room," Vincent responded after a moment of thought.

Ryanna nodded. "Good, becuse I'm going with you," she said glancing from the carved bear to him.

"Okay. When do you plan on leaving,"Jadis asked.

"Oh good. I'd enjoy the company,"Jonathan said, hopping up and dusting off his pants.

"A little after dusk," Vincent replied as he glanced up at the sky. "Which means we should probably head back," he said returning his attention to her.

Ryanna gave a small nod. She was eager to get out, and it showed, it being her day to stay inside.

"Yeah probably,"Jadis said, getting up and brushing the dirt and grass from her pants.

"I don't think we need anything. Maybe some cloaks though to keep us hidden better,"Jonathan said thoughtfully.

Vincent stood up slowly brushing off his pants as well. He walked back over to where they had left the horses, and mounted his.

Ryanna nodded as she walked over to a small basket in a corner. She pulled out a couple of black cloaks, both very light weight. She tossed one to him before pulling hers over her shoulders.

Jadis followed and mounted, turning her horse back in the direction of the stables.

"Shall we,"Jonathan said after settling his cloak over his shoulders.

Vincent started the horse off at a walk, heading back to the stables. He glanced back for a moment as not to leave her behind.

"We shall," Ryanna replied simply as she started heading out of the living space and into the underground sewer system heading outside.

"I'm cominggg,"Jadis said, bringing her horse up next to his.

"Smells nice,"Jonathan commented sarcastically, following her out of the main area.

Vincent smiled gently as he nodded. "Well, that I can clearly see," he said as he guided his mare up the hill they had traveled down.

"You get used to it after a while," Ryanna muttered softly. Though everytime you entered you were greeted with the same nausiating smell. She slipped her body through a small exit walking into the cematary welcoming the fresh air.

Jadis smiled as she followed him down the hill, now a bit excited for the night to come.

"Much better,"Jonathan said, inhaling deeply. "It's going to take me a while to get used to that smell,"he said.

Vincent smiled being rather eager to finally get out. He was also glad to have help, and very surprised that she had agreed so quickly.

Ryanna nodded gently. "It will take about a week or two," she said as she glanced at him walking out of the small gate onto the cobblestone road.

"You don't have guards or anything that watch your every move right,"Jadis asked, looking over at him.

"Good to know,"Jonathan said as he followed, glancing down the road for any people.

Vincent glanced at her as he shook his head. "I haven't given my father a reason to order it," he said simply with a light shrug. He normally didn't give reason for anyone to worry about him.

Ryanna glanced around for a moment as she walked across into the small alley. "What's the best way to get around the gurads?" she asked him not in the mood to get caught.

"Hopefully he won't find out about tonight or anything,"Jadis said, not wanting to get caught and fired when she'd just gotten here.

"Through the forest probably,"Jonathan answered.

"You know you don't have to help. I'd understand," Vincent said ginving her the opertunity to back out. If they were caught, he'd be in a mess of trouble and she would more than likely be out of a job.

"I can get us through the villiage and into the forest without being seen. You'll have to lead after that," Ryanna said begrudgingly knowing that niether of them would be willing to follow the other that easily.

"No I'm still in. Unless you want to back out,"Jadis said, raising an eyebrow at him.

"... If that's what it takes. Lead the way,"Jonathan said, gesturing for her to continue.

"No, I wouldn't back away from that," Vincent said with a small smile.

Ryanna sighed softly, surprised that he agreed. She led him through a series of allies, eventually making it to the edge of the forest.

"Just making sure you weren't abandoning me,"Jadis said as the stable came into view.

"My turn to lead,"Jonathan asked, smiling slightly.

Vincent shook his head. "Of course not," he replied as he glanced up at the stables. He lead his horse slowly inside before dismounting.

Ryanna sighed softly. "As reluctant as I am, yes," she replied watching him closely.

Jadis smiled, dismounting after him. She removed the saddle and blanket from her horse and rubbed it down with a brush.

Jonathan nodded and moved in front of her, leading her through the dense forest.

Vincent releaved his horse of the saddle and blanket. He picked up one of the brushes after replacing the equipment.

Ryanna followed as head walked through the forest. She made it bit of a habbit to stay fairly close to him, not knowing the forest well.

"Do you take care of your horse yourself and get someone to do it,"Jadis asked, watching him work.

"We're not far now,"Jonathan said, holding a branch out of her way.

Vincent glanced over at her. "My horse is a little temperamental when it comes to someone caring for her. She isn't fond of most people," he explained softly.

Ryanna held her tongue, knowing this wasn't an appropriate time for one of her snide comments. "Thank you," she muttered darkly as she walked by the branch he held out of her path.

"I figured as much. She was a bit hesitant to come over to me when I first came in here,"Jadis said, coming to stand against his horse's stall.

Jonathan nodded as he continued on through the forest. The trees around them became fewer as the dim light from dusk peeked through the leaves.

Vincent finnished brushing the horse. He walked slowly from her stall. "It takes quite a bit for her to trust someone. She'll get used to you in time," he said with a small smile.

Ryanna continued to follow him. She glanced up as the folliage started to break up slightly.

"Good to know. She's a very pretty horse I must say,"Jadis said, smiling back at him.

"Here we are,"Jonathan said, stopping a few feet away from the clearing in the trees. In front of them was a line of blankets, airing out in the cool air.

Vincent smiled fondly at the mare. "I must say I agree," he said turning his attention back to her. He started to head slowly out of the stables. "I'll show you the corridor I was talking about, if you would like," he said with a warm smile.

Ryanna took a few steps forward, glancing around warily. She glanced at Jonathan for a brief moment, not knowing if she should trust this situation or not.

"Sure,"Jadis said, following him out of the stables.

"Would you rather I went and got them,"Jonathan asked, noticing the look on her face.

Vincent smiled as he walked from the stables, back up the path to the castle. "How did you come to work here?" he asked glancing at her.

Ryanna glanced at him briefly. "I'm not sure," she replied softly, watching his expression closely.

"I needed a job and this one sounded promising,"Jadis replied shrugging.

"I'll get them,"Jonathan said. He checked to make sure nobody was around before walking to the line. He quickly snatched 4 of the blankets off the line before returning to Ryanna.

"Makes sense," Vincent replied as he pulled open the door, waiting for her to walk in first.

Ryanna watched him as he grabbed the blankets. "Does anyone normally patrol the edge of the forest at all?" she asked the air around her heavy with caution.

"Thank you,"Jadis said with a smile, stepping in the castle.

"Not usually. Only when there's an eminent threat,"Jonathan answered, slinging the blankets around his back.

"Of course," Vincent replied as he stepped inside after her. "It's down this way," he gestured with his head walking down the hall.

Ryanna gave a gentle nod. "Thank you," she said quietly as she started heading back the way they had come through the forest.

"Ever gotten lost in here before,"Jadis asked, following next to him down the hall.

"Glad I could help,"Jonathan said as he followed behind her.

"I did when I was younger," Vincent said sheepishly. "But when your eight nine years old, it seems easy to get lost."

"Do you want some help with that load?" Ryanna asked as she glanced at the blankets over his shoulders.

"That's understandable. How big is the place exactly,"Jadis questioned, looking at the various tapestry's hung around them.

"I'm fine. You just lead the way back,"Jonathan said, smiling reassuredly at her.

Vincent thought for a moment. "I wouldn't be able to tell you he exact size," he said trying to recall a rough estimate of the castle. He honestly had no idea.

"If you're sure," Ryanna said as she started making her way back through the forest, moving swiftly among the trees.

"How far back does it go then,"Jadis asked, looking over at him.

"I am,"Jonathan replied, easily keeping up with her swift pace.

"As a rough estimate, the actual castle sits on about an acre of land, excluding the outer courtyards," Vincent said as they continued walking. He glanced over his shoulder every now and then in caution.

"Alright," Ryanna said softly as she lead him back through the town. She held open the entrance of the hide away for him once they reached it.

"Expecting someone to sneak up on us,"Jadis asked, smiling over at him.

"Thank you,"Jonathan said, bowing his head to her as he entered back into the hideaway.

"I'm just trying to be cautious," Vincent replied with a small sheepish smile as he looked over at her.

"Of course," Ryanna replied softly as she walked in after him.

"That's understandable. Does your dad not like it when you talk to people who work for him,"Jadis asked.

"Where would you like these to be,"Jonathan asked, turning to look at her once they were both inside.

"There are those he favors over others," Vincent said with a soft sigh. "Jonathan, my usual sparring partner, is among them, and he's on some sort of mission I guess."

Ryanna thought for a moment. "Would you mind giving me a few? There is a small basket that I would like the rest in near the other supplies," she said watching him for a moment.

"Hopefully he'll be back soon and you'll have your sparring partner back,"Jadis said, patting him on the back.

"Not at all,"Jonathan said, sliding off three of the blankets down to his arm before handing them to her.

Vincent smiled gently at her. "I didn't mind sparring with you. You're very talanted," he said as he turned a corner. "It's the corridor at the end of this one."

Ryanna took the blankets and walked over to Daniel. She laid her hand across his forehead. "It's gotten worse..." she sighed softly before draping the blankets over him gently.

"Thank you. Means a lot,"Jadis said, smiling back. And it really did coming from someone who had probably had much more training than she.

"Do you have any stones to heat up in a fire to help sweat it out,"Jonathan asked, coming over to stand beside her.

Vincent smiled warmly at her. "Of course," he said with a gentle bow of his head. "You think you'll be able to find your way around later?" he asked.

Ryanna shook her head grimly as she looked up at him. She sighed softly. "I'm not sure what else to do."

"I think so. Pretty easy to get here,"Jadis said, looking around at the long corridor they were in.

"Neither am I. Our best hope is that sweating it out will work,"Jonathan said, a sad look on his face.

Vincent smiled and gave a gentle nod. "Alright then. I'll meet you here in a bit then," he said as he glanced out one of the windows.

Ryanna stood up slowly, trying to hide the pain in her expression as she faught to hold back tears. She sighed softly as she glanced around to find something to keep herself busy.

"See you then,"Jadis said, bowing her head to him before going back towards her small room.

"I'm sorry,"Jonathan said quietly, resting his hand on Ryanna's shoulder.

Vincent just gave a light nod as he started walking back down the hall. He sighed not having anything to do between now and then.

"He's just so young...I'd trade places with him if I could," Ryanna mumbled as she glanced up at Jonathan, still fighting back the tears.

Jadis shut the door behind her after arriving at her room. She sat down on her small bed, looking out the window she had. She could take a nap but didn't know if she'd wake up in time.

"I know you would, but he could make it. You never know,"Jonathan said, smiling reassuredly at her.

Vincent made his way back to his room slowly with nothing else to do in the mean time. He sighed quietly as he stepped slowly into the large room.

Ryanna shook her head gently at his optimism. "One thing you need to learn, you always expect the worst out on the streets," she mumbled softly.

"Yes but I've always found that for me, being hopeful gets me through the day,"Jonathan said, glancing over at the boy.

Ryanna sighed softly as she quickly wiped the tears from her cheeks as they forced their way from her eyes. "Things don't work out often down here," she said quietly.

Jadis' eyes popped open, hoping she didn't sleep to late. She hadn't meant to fall asleep but made the mistake of laying down on her bed. She hopped up, smoothing her hair down and heading out of her room and towards their meeting place.

"It'll get better hopefully,"Jonathan said, the hand on her shoulder squeezing it sympathetically.

Vincent glanced around cautiously as he stepped out of his room. He madehis way silently down the halls of the quiet castle. He made it down to the meeting place after a few moments of swift movments.

Ryanna reflexivly placed her hand gently on his. She bit down on her lower lip to keep it from trembling.

"I'm not late am I,"Jadis asked quietly as she arrived at their meeting place. She had easily avoided others that were in the hallways but that made her trip here a bit longer.

"It's alright,"Jonathan said quietly, noticing her watery eyes and trembling lip.

Vincent looked up at her as she entered the hallway. "Not at all," he said with a small smile.

Ryanna looked up at him for a moment. "I can't help but think it wont. Even as a gypsy I was never able to look at things the way you're able to, and I do envy that," she said softly.

"Good. I fell asleep and was worried I slept passed time,"Jadis said, smiling sheepishly as she came to stand by him.

"It's all thanks to my father I'm like this. He was always so happy, even when he was sick,"Jonathan said, smiling at her.

"I'm afraid I did the same," Vincent replied with a soft laugh as he watched her. "I believe the simplest way to get out of her is either through one of the windows, or through the passage way in the kitchens."

"You don't realise how much I envy that as well," Ryanna said softly as a few tears escaped from her eyes.

"Whichever you prefer. The window sounds like the best way not to get caught but the kitchen sounds safer,"Jadis said.

"It'll be fine,"Jonathan said, using his free hand to gently wipe away the tears on her face.

Vincent nodded knowing the flaws in both options. "I would probably say the window, then we can judge from there on how to get back," he said thoughtfully.

Ryanna winced gently at his touch, not expecting it to be as gentle as it was. She sighed softly still not believeing him.

"Alright then. I shall follow you,"Jadis said, gesturing for him to go to the window.

"You look tired. Why don't you go get some sleep,"Jonathan suggested.

Vincent nodded gently as he walked over to one of the windows. He opened it carefully as he glanced around in slight caution. He jumped onto the window sill and eased himself over. It wasn't horrible with it being only about six feet from the ground.

Ryanna shook her head gently. "I'm alright," she said softly as she glanced around for a brief moment.

Jadis glanced around the hallway before following him out. She sat on the edge of the sill for a moment before leaping easily onto the ground.

"If you say so,"Jonathan said, watching the people around them before turning his attention back to her.

Vincent watched her as he leaped down from the window. "Do you know the easiest way off the grounds?" he asked tilting his head having no idea.

Ryanna looked up at him for a moment with a soft sigh after noticing a few other others giving her a few wary looks.

Jadis thought for a moment before responding. "Most likely the through the forest,"she said, glancing over at him.

"I'm guessing people here aren't used to see newcomers,"Jonathan said, smiling slightly at her.

Vincent nodded gently as he glanced at the forest. "Would you mind leading?" he asked.

"No, nor do they take kindly to them," Ryanna responded softly as she looked up at him.

"Not at all. Be careful though. The ground gets really hard to see once you get in the forest,"Jadis said, heading across the grounds of the castle.

"Hopefully they won't try to throttle me in my sleep or anything,"Jonathan said, glancing up at the people around them.

Vincent followed her closely. "Thank you for the warning," he said greatful.

"A few of them might," Ryanna said as she glanced at a couple of men who were about five years her elder and about twice her size. "But that would probably only if you cross them, or try anything to harm me or the others."

"You're welcome. I've tripped a countless number of times in these woods,"Jadis said as she stepped into the forest, the moon barely visible through the branches.

"Luckily I don't plan on doing either of those things,"Jonathan said, grinning at her.

Vincent followed her into the forest. He wasn't expecting the light to dim to that extreme. He tried keeping an eyes on her as he watched the ground slightly ahead of him.

"Still, watch yourself around them," Ryanna said softly gesturing to the two men.

"How're you doing back there,"Jadis asked, glancing back over her shoulder at him.

"I will, and thanks for the warning,"Jonathan said, glancing at the men apprehensively. It wasn't that he was afraid to stand up against them if need be, he was very skilled in combat, he just didn't want to cause problems.

Vincent glanced up at her for a moment. He hadn't tripped yet, which was good. "Alright for the time being," he responded as his long strides carried him, still behind her.

"Of course," Ryanna replied softly as she returned her gaze back to him.

"Good. Not long and the trees will start to thin out a bit giving you more space,"Jadis informed him, kicking some branches out of the way.

"Have those men been here for long,"Jonathan asked.

"That's good to hear," Vincent said with a small smile as he glanced around. He never realised how large the forest was, then again, he hasn't been off the castle grounds.

Ryanna thought for a moment. "They have been here at least as long as I have, if not longer," she responded as she looked up at him.

"Watch your step here,"Jadis said, stepping over a large root from a tree that grew into the path.

"That's a long time. And how long have you been here,"Jonthan asked, looking over at her.

Vincent stepped over the root as he reached it. "Thank you," he said glad of the warnings she had given him.

"For about six years. The guild took me in when I was fourteen," Ryanna said after a moment of thought.
