Katherine stood on her corner. She was new to the job, but very popular. A car pulled over and a man opened the window.
"How much?"
"How much you got?"
"Ten bucks."
"I'm in..." she got into the car, and the man drove away with her.
"You get me for three hours." she stated, and he nodded. Of corse. He understood. He had done this before. She could tell by the look on his face. He drove her to his home.
"Get out of the car. And wait for me." he instructed, and she did as she was told. The man got out of his car, and locked it. He walked close to her and wrapped his arm around her waist. He took her to the door and inside. He quickly took her to the kitchen and placed her in the chair. She blinked, not being used to this.
"Name?" he demanded.
"Katherine... What are you doing, sir?" she asked as he started making something that smelled delicious.
"You'll see." he said as he continued cooking.

Three hours later, he drove Katherine back to her corner. He hadn't done anything to her. He had only given her food, and talked to her... And of corse given her the ten dollars he had promised her before he took her to his home. She clutched the money in her pocket as she got out of the car.
"Thanks..." she whispered. She knew he was going to come the next day. He had promised her that. He had promised he would save her. Maybe there would be a happy ending after all?

Joseph sighed a little to himself.
"I'm gonna save her." he muttered to himself as he drove away. He had learned that Katherine was only sixteen. It was horrible. He had to save this girl. She was eye candy, so much was true, but she was also smart. She deserved better then to live like that.
"I will save her." he whispered as he parked the car in front of his house. He sighed and stared at the emptiness of it.

The next day in the papers, one could read about a sixteen-year-old prostitute who had died in a drive-by shooting...
