Vlad walked slowly and descreatly toward his destination. He kept himself concealed within his faded black cloak. He looked at the mortals around him in disgust. The homeless lied on the streets, begging for money. The helpless were being robbed and beaten. Was this what they concieve as civilized? It made no difference either way. He would soon escape this wretched world of light, and rule the pit of fire known as the underworld.
Vlad pulled out a slip of paper and studied it.

"Only a few more blocks until the gathering spot." He hid the paper, and continued onward.

Aurora sat against the wall, letting her hood drop around her shoulders. The host refuse to show himself for awhile longer, She began to grow bored, as she recieved several stareds from the filth of the city, who seemd to hang out here from pure boredom.
"Au clair de la lune .Mon ami Pierrot, Prete-moi ta plume, Pour écrire un mot..." she slowly sung a small french folak song to herself as she soon noticed a group of boys moveing closer to her.

Vlad finally reached the park. He examined it closely.

"Why would the Lord of Evil be so nonchalant about security or secrecy?" He whispered to himself. There were childeren roaming the park and playing imaginary games, and the elderly were relaxing on benches. Nothing that he'd thought was unusual. Until... He heard a sweet song he hadn't heard in many years. He looked over to see a cloaked shadow leaning against a wall.

"That must be the messenger." He slowly made a B-line toward her, but then noticed a few boys gathering near her as well.

"frenchy?" she said, her eye twitching," I beg your pardon mounsir, but I request that you use some better respect..."
"whatever toots." he said, reaching her and pulling her towards the group.
She growled and and pun it around so his arm was pinned behind his back.
":aaah! MY ARM!" he said as there was a loud crack.
The others steped back a moment, before moveing in to attack her.

Vlad grabbed one of the boys by the back of his shirt and threw him against the wall Aurora was leaning on.

"What, may I ask, are you doing?"

"hey man, we just wantd to have some fun tonight.." he said, throwing his arms up defensively. the others turned around to see what had hurt thier other friend.

Vlad towered among the boys at an alarming hieght of 6'7". He stared down at the others with a wicked red glare.

"Fun? Has society fallen so much that rape has become a cullinary art for any man whom walks among these streets?"

"man, what are you talking about?" The leader said, holding his injured arm to his side," if wer can-"
" you do this because you CAN?!" Aurora said pure horror in her voice. Then without warning she kicked him hard in the back, slaming him across the way, into the wall and unconsious.
The guys figured it was 5 against one, so they all turned their attentions back to her.

"Do any of you know what on of my favorite past-time is?" Vlad struck one of them hard in the face. The boy shook as if he was just hit with a bolt of lightning, then toppeled over limply.

"Protecting the innocent."

I am innocient? she thought curiously but stepped back none the less as the guys started backing away from the large behemouth...

"hey man, lets just calm down.." the guy said," uh, look, you can join us if you want.."

"I see. When you find a young lady on the streets, you'll rape her. When someone comes to stop you, you wish to ally them. You are cowards and deserve to die!"

At that word, the rest of them broke into a run, trying to get as far aways possible.
On the way, one bumped into her. she hit the ground with a soft thud," ow..."

As the others had ran away, Vlad examined the woman. She's not the messenger... he thought. He extended his hand down toward her in a friendly fashion.

"Are you okay, my lady?"

"Yes, monsuir.." she said, gratefully accepting his hand as he pulled her up," Merci, that might have gotten rough.."
she looked up at him, her sky blue eyes taking in his large frame. She seemed so small compaired to him.
"who are you monsuir?" she said, feeeling curious," you have the bone structer unfamiler to this time.."

"You're welcome." He pulled his cloak farther over his face as to avoid the light.
"My name is Vlad. And yes, I am exceedingly large for this filth of a culture we live in. Does this happen to you much, miss?"

"not in such excess, but it does happen..." she said, smileing at him, fl;ashing her two large canines," my attraction is of course unhman, and one must get her food somehow must she?"

Vlad chuckeled.

"Well, it's not very often you find another vampire roaming the streets of New York anymore, either." Vlad took a long pause until he finally spoke, "You must be here to take the throne, as well. Am I correct?"

" and I assume you are as well." she said, her grin turning into a curious smile," that would make us eniemes, now wouldn't it?"

"It appears so." Vlad turned away from her.

"I swear this: If we must kill one another, I shall do it as quick and painless as possible."

" and the same to you sir.." she said, looking to the ground,"well, thank you again Mounsir, I am still grateful for your actions your actions tonight.." and she turned away as well, continueing the directions on the letter.
Her long body was well perportioned against the moonlight, it was easy to see why they were tempted, as the moonlight caught the curve of her waist and the slight eb of her hip.

Vlad caught glimpse of her, but slowly looked away. He showed no interest, but that was far from the truth. If he had it his way, he would have impaled the men until they were deep within the Earth. But, to him, it was ungentelman-like to create such a bloody mess.

"It is my pleasure, Ma'am. By the way, I've introduced myself, yet I know nothing of you."

"oh forgive me." she said, her voice almost light and bell like. She twirled around, her skirt swishing softly and smiled at him again," I am Aurora Demoent, the former princess of France if you wish to trace back.."

Vlad's eyes opened widely in a shocked expression, as if he had nnever heard something like that before. He softly shook his head and extended his hand. "Nice to meet you, my lady.

she smiled and took his hand, chearfully. She spotted a crest on the back of his hand smiled wider," and it is nice to meet you too, Sir Vlad. You seem to be in the wrong time period as well.."

"I am sorry if I have done anything to you centuries ago."

"if you are refering to the wars, then you should relax.." she said, chuckleing slightly," I do not believe in holding gurdges, tis not a healthy habit for a lady.."

"Very well. But I sense the Evil Lord's messenger is near."

"I feel a dark preasnce myself.." she said, closeing her eyes.
" won't have to feel for it if you just look.." a scratchy voice moaned from the far left," it's much easier you know.."

Vlad looked at the shadowy figure standing a few feet from them.

"Ahh. I see you took your time to arrive."

" well you are the last two people.." he said in a blood curlding high-pitched voice," opps, I mean Vampires."
He enxtended his hand from a long black cloak. It was mottled, and a strange rotten blue color as skin hung from the bones limply, and some pklaces where there was no skin at all," shall we?"
A feeling of disgust filled Aurora's stomach and she took a step back," er, yes, lead the way.."

"Thank you for correcting yourself." Vlad showed no disgust in the messenger. He followed him. "So. How are we going to enter the Underworld? I suppose it would be more secretive than this human social gathering place."

"oh yes.." he practicly snivled. Aurora followed but kept her distance beheind Vlad. She had no desire to be anywhere near a creature so vile.
He stoped near an old oak tree and pulled out a dagger. he pricked his finger, drawing a black substance. He presed it to the tree and started drawing a rune symbol on it, which then transfered into a strange doorway," after you, your majesty.." it teased with a snorting snicker.
"how did you-"
" the master knows all!" it interupted loud and impationtly," now GO! Very little time!!"

Vlad rolled his eyes and allowed Aurora in first. He was listening to our conversations... He thought as he followed her in.

She carefully side-steped the creature and entered the strange hole in the wall. she felt a little more relaxed when the creature was two people away from her. She gazed up at the ky above them, which was now a pale yellow orange, and a large gathering of people waited before them, all around a strange platform made soley of solid steal.

Vlad entered closely behind her. He studied the sky and noticed that it did not burn his eyes. He then turned to the messenger.

"I suppose it is safe to take off our cloaks, correct?"

"of course, I am mine.." he said, his voice miraculously chaneing to a light even.
Ther cloak flew off, revealing a pleasent looking younge man, except for his eyes which were a pierceing red that mad her shudder. He was a tall creature with long thick black hair and a beard growing from his chin. His body wa sthin and boney but muscle still lingered around the arms and legs. His robes hung losely from his frame as he extened his hand.
" sorry for the mottled-blue look, but the appearence of demons tends to be twisted once they reach the surface..." he smiled almost maliciously at them," I am Odieon, the soon-to-be-ex-lord..."

"Finally." Vlad removed his cloak, showing that he was covered with silver plated armor. The armor was nearly a millenium old, but still looked as sheen as the day the metal was forged. His black hair fell onto his shoulders. His face was covered with fully-healed scars. With his new appearance, he seemed to look even larger.

"It is a pleasure, Odien." Vlad said, bowing.

He looked pleased by the bow and nodded," nice to see you still have some respect.."

With a swift motion, Aurora had her cloak slung ove rher arm. she wore a long dark green dress that cascaded over her shoulders but not down the arms. The top held to her tightly with emeralds sprinkled across the chest area. The skirt under her swung losely and hung like silk.

Odieon eyes her and smiled, takeing her hand," and a pleasure to see the real you, Princess.." he said grining, and lifting her hand up," I see you spare no expense for your personal style.." and he kisse dthe back of ehr hand, a little longer then she would have prefered.

Vlad did not stop bowing until Odien had walked toward Aurora. Though no expression appeared on his face, there was a slight hint of jealousy within his body language. He found Aurora very beautiful, as if she hadn't aged at all.... Oh, yeah. She's a vampire. Of course.

Aurora yankd her hand away," er, thank you My lord, it's an...honer to be here."
Her discomfert was plain and Odieon nodded," well, you may grace us even more, follow me.." he said as he advanced towards the crowd.
Aurora turned to Vlad, almost appologeticly. Though his expresion read nothing, his eyes flickered a bit of envy, she could see it.
"I....was changed when I was 20." she said, absently fingering the two small red bumps on her neck," rather sad story to be honest..I lost two things that night.."

Vlad closed his eyes, as to block every thought that was coming to his mind. He then opened his eyes and looked down.

"I am sorry to hear that." He said nothing more, and turned to follow Odien.

Se stared at the ground for a moment longr, fighting the barrage of emotions in her throuat before following after. The group of fighters folded bsck to accept the two arivals, some looking at them with fear, others with aggarence.
Odieon took the platform and spoke loudly.
" Welcome Nightwalkers, to the king of games tournament. As you know, I am steping down from my position, and one of you few will be luckly enough to take my spot..."

The area was silent. No one was moving. Vlad was staring at Odien as if he needed to look at him.

The actual participents need to be decided first though.." he said, grining almost evily," but i realise you are tired after such a long journay...so you have 5 minutes to freshen up before the qualiyers start.."

"Good. I need some time to think." Vlad walked toward a wall and leaned against it. He thought about the war he had fought. One that had been erased from history.

"hardly alot of time but as you wish.." Aurora said, as she started lookinga round in a bachg she had brought. She looked over at Vlad curiously , happeing to be close enough she asked himm," what's on your mind.."

"Nothing." He refused to open his eyes or tell more. He was hiding something serious.

"Oh," she said, dissapointment in her voice,"forgive me for intrudeing.."
she turned her back to him, and took three steps away.
he was so cold, and refused to talk to anyone. OIt was quite clear that the man was hideing something, but what?"
she was determined to find out as odieon called their attention again.

Now that his time was up, Vlad sighed and stood up. He walked back to the crowd and listened to Odien once more.

The qualifieres began, which were a series of small matches simontaniously to see who would partoicipate in the real tounrament.
Aurora's opponent was also from france, a Louis Terroie, but he made the mistake of thinking she wasn't a fighter. In abvout 10 moves he was down.

Vlad was up next. An American was his opponent. The fool made a mistake to charge toward Vlad, and was knocked unconcious when Vlad kicked the him in the face.

After faceing a gysy, an italian and a chinese vampire she was guarenteed one spot in the primlimenaries.
She finallt aside and watched the others duel, while adjusting her skirts.

Three more vampires from different parts of the world. Vlad easily defeated them. He decided to headbutt the fighter from Korea, and he broke his nose. When he fouught one of the Russian vampires, he knocked one of it's canine teeth out.

What was strange, not about his power or brutality, but how his expression never changed. It was just a blank stare, closely related to a scowl.

He walked ooff of the arena platform after he had a spot for the preliminaries. He sat next to Aurora.

"You fought very well, my lady."

" as did you sir knight." she said, following protocol. She grined though, an interesting thought in her head," though I must say, I do feel sorry for the last three fighters. I imgagine teeth don't grow back easily.."

"No. No they do not." He paused for a second, then continued. "You strike quickly when you fight. I envy that."

"smaller frame, faster blows." she said simply," But I am the one who should be envious, you have such power with you/"
She turtned to face him," and your face, always so calm in battle, almost as if..your hideing something."

"When you're calm, you can think of your next attack, if you panic, you act on impulse, which renders you helpless." He didn't look at her. He was ashamed.

" I see." sher said, not sounding totally convinced.
It was slightly disconcerning that he wouldn't look at her, almost made her feel self-concious. Was there something his disliked about her? Did he not wish to know her?
Furthermore, why did she care?
She close dher eyes and quickly shook her head, none of this made any sense....
"congrats survivers!" Odieon said stepping forward," we have finished our first round, and now it is time to set up the rounds for the priliminaries. Will my fighters step forth please..."
" may the best fighter win.." Aurora said standing up.
" I wish you luck.." she said with a mischivious grin," I look forward to spareing with you.."

Vlad nodded at Aurora. There was no snappy comeback, a wish of good luck, or a burst of over-confidence. But he stood up and stepped forward.

Odieon held out a smokey glass jar," draw the first smooth round object you feel, that will be your spot."
He turned to Aurora," princesses first?"
She sneared at him before reaching inside. She felt something smooth and strangely cool. She pulled out a small blue sphere.
" match two." he said grining," excellent choice. He turned to Vlad," and you sir?"

He put his hand in. He felt one that was round, and icy. He pulled it out and was a dark green with a number 6 on it.

"I hoped I would be first."

"relax sir, there are 8 matches so you are not last.." odieon said as the others started to pull out their own.
"we have our first pair. Match 6 will be Kaiser Scott Vs. Vlad."
The german Vampire that had picked the same dark green sphere looked over at Vlad curiously. His dark blonde hair seemed mismatched against his almost mint green eyes. The stared hard at his opponent, as if measureing up his stature.

Vlad's eyes opened wider and his eyebrows lowered. His crimson eyes turned to a bright red, almost glowing. The first true form of expression he'd shown since he'd entered the tournement... Trying to strike fear into Kaiser.

A young lady walked up to the jar as well, and pulled out a blue spere, also numbered two.

Kaiser smirked back at him,"haben Sie Angst, seien Sie sehr afraod.."(be afraid, be very afraid...)

" isabella Cortez Vs. Aurora Demonet." Was the enxt one announced. Aurora looked over at the spanish beauty and raised her eyesbrows. The ladyes dark curls waved around her shoulders, her chocolete brown eyes stareing at her almost playfully,"mayo el mejor triunfo de muchacha." she said fluently," may the ebst girl win."
"I intend to." Aurora said, trying to psyche the the vampire into fear.

Vlad's scowl turned to anger as he looked at Odien. "I wish to know something, my leige. Is there a rule about killing your opponent?" He was serious.

Isabella looked shocked at Vlad. Could they possibly die in this tournament?

" you kill, the person losses of course.." Odieon said,"but if you purposely do so, then your disqualifyed. I want to see how strong you are without the finishing move."

Aurora, while externally unmoved, was relieved on the inside. So much for that quick and painless death.

Vlad gave a quick scowl at Odien, and then looked back at Kaiser.

Isabella, was too relieved, but she made it more dramatic by wiping the sweat from her forehead, but quickly regained her posture.

The others pulled their slots soon enough and the fighting was about to get interesting.
"match one: Ryou samata Vs. Izzira of Egypt is about to begin.." Odieion annouced," fighters to the platform, the rst of you please be seated.."

Aurora took a seat a few feet away from the fight. Drapeing her skirt ove rthe chair, she noticed the german vampire from before, giveiong her a rather disterbing stare.
She shifted uncomfertabley as Izzira, the egyption vampire, practicly danced her way into an arena based entirely on a pile of bones.

Vlad crossed his arms as he sat down. He looked over at Kaiser once more and noticed he was glaring at Aurora. His anger was building, but he decided he would hold it until their match.

Ryou, the Japanese vampire dashed onto the arena. He was litterally hopping up and down with adrenaline. He was happy to fight, because all he could see was that he would sit on the throne and become the new ruler.

as all egyption vampires, Izzira had to be the center of attention, and was prone to speaking in riddles.
"ah, younge riseing sun wishes to partake with the golden sun.." she said shakeing her head, and moveing her body in some strange positon," not wise, younge one.."

Aurora whined slightly, a sharp pain building from his gaze. She gently moved away from that seat, trying o numb it.

Ryou stepped back and yelled, "Watashi kasu tame feiru!" (I refuse to fail!) He did not move for a long time until he dashed toward Izzira.

Vlad saw Aurora's discomfort. He was curious to what was going on, but maybe he should wait a while longer before he makes any decisive action.

Izzira side steped, landing in fifth position then takeing one jump in the air she spun and kicked him in the head,

The blow was successful and knocked him down, but just as quick, he was back up. He pushed most of his weight on his back leg, as to sit iin a defensive stance. And motioned to Izzira to attack.

She grined, and with one cartwheel went for a punch.

Ryou bent backwards,the punch was just over his face. He pushed his hands onto the ground and lifted his legs to kick Izzira in the face with both feet."

She went flying back, but landed on the heal opf her palm. Holding herself up she turned around glareing.
"never wise, to heat what is already burning.." she said furiously as she fliped to her front side. From her wraped garment a king-obra slithered out around her Arm, she grinned, and with lightning spead tosed the snake at him, causeing it to wrap around his neck.

The cobra was trangeling him, and he tried to struggle, but no matter how much he squirmed or shook, it wouldn't come off. Out of an act of desperation, Ryou flashed his fangs, and bit into the snake until he ripped off a peice of its flesh. The snake hissed and slithered off of him. He fell to his knees and tried to recover his breath. When he finally did, he stood back up and got back into his stance. He smiirked and motioned for her to attack once more.

He charged at her as well, but quickly slid downward and executed a sweep kick, trying to knock her down.

she got kicked in the stomach, thje wind raceing out of her.
as a last resort she reahced back into her dress and threw down a small yellow sohere,. It broke with a shatering of glass and suddenly sand swarmed around them.
A portable sand-storm.

" I didn't know we were allowed to use magic." Aurora said watching.
There are only two rules to this my dear.." odieon said from the top" no killing, and no outside help. magic and weapons are always welcome."
Aurora grined, now she had some extra tactics she could use.

At that moment, a large sum of sand flew into ryou's eyes. He screamed and fell to his knees, trying to get it out. He was blinded, and what's more, it was harder to breath because of the storm.

Vlad pulled a large weapon that was strapped to his back. It had a strange sheath and was made of silver. He patted it and placed it on his back once more.

Izzira jumped out of the cloud to the corner of the storm, barely balenceing on the arena., trying to catch her breath as the storm died away...

When the storm dispersed, Ryou was on all fours, coughing and sneezing. He tried to regain balance, fell back down. And coughed and hacked in a life-threatening way. He slapped his hand three times on the arena floor in an attempt to forfeit.

"no quiting." Odieon said frowing," no come on, I know your family ancestors have something up their sleaves.."

What could he do? He was seriously outmatched and blinded. He thought of all he had been taught. He finally knew what he could do. He placed his palms flat on the ground and began to yell ancient japanese chants. Every muscle in his body bulged and many vains stuck out. Suddenly, a glowing red pentegram was drawn on the arena floor, and grew to the entire size of it. He stopped and slammed his fists into the ground. Like a bolt of lightning, the arena burst into flames. When the fire died down, Ryou stood standing, and Izzira lay unconsious on the ground.

"I see.." aurora said," the sand would blind him as long as she was still in control." Aurora said smirking," cleaver, Egyption Vampires were always a rather tricky bread.."

Ryou spat out some sand as he cracked his neck and walked of the arena. The arena had been scorched from the flame, but due to the great structure, it was in no real damamge. He sat down next to Isabella and panted. "Thata... Was hardu." His accent was very fluent, as if he'd only known English for a few months.

"Relax, you've won. I hope to fight you when we reach the quarter-finals." Isabella said in a smug tone.

"don't count on it.." Aurora said standing up.
as his custome said, Aurora did a small bow for ryou," well played monsuir, fighting you will certainly be a challenge in the quarter-finals..."

Ryou nodded, and then leaned his head back, as to fall asleep.

Isabella slowly walked up to the platform, never losing her confidence. "Prepare yourself, little girl. I have never lost anything, and I'm not prepared to lose the chance to become queen of the Underworld!"

Isabella slapped Aurora with the back of her hand. She was wearing many rings, so it hurt more than it should of.

Isabella made an "eek!" and fell to the floor. Her dress was covered in jewels and made of a mix of silk and kahmir. And now iit was covered with leftover sut from Ryou's attack. She looked at her dress with shock, and then at Aurora. "I'll kill you!" She wrapped her hands around Aurora's throat and brought her to the ground.

" your dress is your concern here?" she said in disbelief," Mon dieu, you vain creature, this a battle!!"
To prove her point, the skirt of her dress was rippe doff, revealing a green pair of men's breaches under it, epfect for battle. She got into a battle stance<" have at it.."

She ran at her once more and jumped with a flying kick. For someone who wore high-heels in battle, she could move well in them.

Isabella yelped when she was slammed down. She stood back up and drew two blades concealed beneath her dress. She stood back and kept one pointed at Aurora and one near her body.

Aurora drew back, and froma pouch on her leg drew a long whip," coem come my spansih beauty.." she said, cracking it once," lets dance.."
With a flick of her wrist, the whip wraped around isabella's wrist, and aurora tugged ot forward.

Aurora managed to make Isabella drop one of her swords, but when she was tugged forward, she sliced a bit of Aurora's arm.

she winced, white blood dripinmg foom her arm. But she reatliated but droping, grabing the sword and throwing it towards isabella's back.

"ACK!" Isabella fell to her knees, and then to the ground, she hadn't been hit in any internal organ, but the pain rendered her unconcious.

Vlad slowly clapped from his seat.

She sighed and pocketed the whip. Smileing at vlad, she gave a small bow before exiting the stage.
" a repair for your arm miss?" the paramedic came up.
" it will heal.." she said walking by him.
"next match.." odieon droned but she wasn't payi8ng attention anymore. she sat down and tried to keep the blood from dripiing onto the seat.

Vlad walked over and sat next to her. "As I had told you, if you remain calm during a fight, you will win. Isabella fought on impulse due to her emotions, which led to her downfall."

she turned back to Vlad and nodded her appriciation," and I kept that in mind, thank you for that hint." she grinned appriciatetively," it truely helped."

The next match consisted of an arabian vampiress named Jasmine, and a greak vampire named Alexander. Jasmine fell, and alexander advanced.
( a quick summery of the next few matches should get us to yours. we need two more.)

Kaiser was watching the next match, an italian vampire named Julias fought against Catharine from Russia. Catharine was the winner, chanting to herself in russian.
Next was Zafrina the Amazon Vampiress, Vs another American Vampire, this one a patriot named James. James won in 5 moves, Zafrina not haveing knowlage of non-priomative weapons..

"I'll keep that in mind." Vlad stared down at Kaiser. Their height difference was substantial, and his armor made it more impressive. Vlad slowly grasped one hand onto the handle of his sheathed sword behind his back.

Kaiser's eyes suddenly gleamed golden, as 50 or so invisable knifes fired at Vlad,

Most of them hit Vlad's armor and broke in half. However, two of them managed to cut both of his cheeks. He did not wince or show any pain. He only pulled out a large broadsword. It was 4 feet long, 9" wide, and weighed at least 85 lbs. He carried it on his shoulder as he made his way to Kaiser.

Kaiser frowned as his eyes turned a sharp orange color. and invisable smoke curled from his eyes, straight to vlad wher eit enetred his system throuigh his ear, attacking him from the inside out with a burning sensasion.

Vlad's eyes watered from the pain, but he didn't stop moveing. He was at least 6 feet away from Kaiser, and he had his sword clasped with both hands.

Aurora bit her lips, she was right, he did have powers with his eyes. So why was he just takeing them?! couldn't he dodge? Look away?! Ahe was nervous, and even more confused as to why she was nervous in the first place

Kaiser frowned again and increased the preasure. drawing a smaller sword he got in a battle stance,.

Vlad clenched his jaw and bore his teeth as he raised the sword. He slammed it down toward Kaiser's left arm.

He blacoked, his sword cracking, and was pushed to the side by the force. His concentration broke and his spell wore off.
He swore in german then went for a counter strike between two plates of his armour.

Vlad caught the sword with one hand. His palm and a few of his fingers were cut and bleeding, but he stopped it from penetrating. He twisted the sword and it snapped in half. He then threw the broken peice of blade to the side.

"Is that all the power you can sum up?"

Then from the side drew a larger sword and what looked like a a misty cloud of something. he threw the mist down and suddenly it expanded into a fog.

Vlad couldn't see much around him. So he waited for any sign of movement until he would strike.

Kaiser came up from behind and swiped across his shoulder blades.

Vlad slightly winched at the pain. Suddenly, he thought on how he could win. He raised his sword high in the air, and slammed it into the arena floor. A small earthquake erupted through out the building.

Kaiser let out a small cry of shock before he fell between two rocks, his foor beuing stuck, all he cpould do was glare at Vlad, holding up his sword defensively.

Vlad stabbed his sword in the ground, and then punched Kaiser in the stomach, knocking the wind out of him, then again in the face, breaking his nose.

Kaiser, unable to move, took each blow painfuly, he was elaning on his blade, waitiung for Vlad to give the final blow.

Vlad kicked Kaiser on the side of the neck, knocking him out. Vlad gave a soft, yet loud sigh, and stepped off the arena platform.

Aurora immidetly ran up to him," are you alright?! You looked like you were in pain.."

"I will be fine." He said. He was still drippng with blood from his cheeks, left hand, and shoulder blades.

As she returned with some bandages and antibiotics, the next fightvw as in progress. A scotish vampire, big and burely, was doing nicely against a small irish vampire.

(No, no. Vlad the impaler was at least 200 years before and was from Noraway. Dracula was from Hungary. Also, Dracula was most famous for fending off an army by building a gate using pikes and the dead bodies of his tortured victims. He was also famous for torturing by burning, not impaling.)

Vlad noticed Alucard's opponent fall through the arena floor. "That was not strength, that was luck. My sword nearly cracked the arena in half, the coincidence that Chun-Li fell was a complete fluke." Vlad said. "Just because his father was famous, doesn't mean he is as strong as he."

Aurora gracefully took her position, with the poise and dignaty of a trained royal. she got into her own stance and waited for odieon's approval.
"aurora of frace vs Ryou of Japan. Ready...begin!"
Aurora immidetly went on the defensive.

Ryou, with his new found confidence and family blood line, he summoned a fire through his palms, and shot them at Aurora in straight pulse.

she ducked, singeing the tips of her hair she rolled and was now a few feet away from her, drawing her whip and cracking it at him once.

Thew hip cracked on Ryou's shin, but he quickly pulled it away, only making it leave a small mark. He quickly shot another pulse of fire at Aurora.

Ryou started coughing, as the wind was knocked out of him. He shot one more pulse of fire at her at close-range. He then sat on one knee to cathc his breath.

aurora blocked, thus causeing the fire to seriously burn her arms. she screamed once before standing back up, She then charged after him once more, carring a dagger she his in her shoe.

Ryou growled in pain as he fell onto the arena floor. He grapped the whip and yanked back.

She had to act quickly. She wanted to save this for the finals, but she figured she didn't have a choice now.
She sighed, and placed a hand on her forehead, concentrateing hard. Suddennly the whip from before floated up and snapped around his wrists, pulling them away from her.

Ryu struggled to push his hands back toward her, the small ball was nearly in range of her when it started to shine brightly.

She closed her eyes,a vein practicly pulseing in her head as she faught to keep them back. She finally opened her eyes again and his wrists were slamed back into the floor.

Ryou's palms were at least three inches in front of Aurora's face. The ball turned a light blue, and began to snap and sizzle.

As the wind was knocked out of Ryou, the ball exploded. Luckily, it was faced away from aurora, minorly scolding her. Ryou, however, took most of the blow and flew out of the ring and fell unconcious.

before he could finish Aurora was on the ground, clucthing her burns, before shakely standing back up.
"Match won-Aurora of france.." odieon said skeptically," and i appeares medicine for third-degree burns is nescesary.."

"ow, no.." she said, flinching when he touched her burnt shoulder," I never did like fire benders.." she mumbled, trying her hardest to stand up.

she lifted up one of her arms, revealing the charred skin which was momentarly flakeing away.
A paramedic rushed up to take her.

"I think so.." he said, looking at the burns," it burned the top part but it should peel off then the skin under can heal with some magic..."

Vlad sighed in relief. "Very good." He looked down at Aurora. "Don't push yourself so hard." He said, mistakingly saying the same thiing Aurora said to him.

Vlad gave Odien a deep glare, but softened his face when he looked back at Aurora. "I'll see you in the finals." He kissed her and walked off the arena floor.

She stood there in disbelief, shock clearly painted on her face, but as the paramedic tugged her off the arena a smaile etched herself on the corners of her mouth, she wouldn't be away for too long....

The next match was Alexander vs cathrine, who lost since alexsander had a strange unlimited source of weapons from as imple bag on his waist. She lay outside the arena unconciousas odieon called the match. The next one would be Vlad Vs james, the surviveing patriot of america.
"OW!!" Aurora was heard from the infermary, releaseing a string offrnech swears," you stupid man, are you trying to kill me?!?!"

Ryou lay in a stretcher next to Aurora. "You are truly a formidable opponenta." He said, with a scratchy voice

James growled, and couldn't pull the sword lose diue to the man's strength. He jumped back, letting go of the sword in the meantime.

This time, the strike was successful, and made a large horizontal gash across his entire face, cutting from one cheek, across his nose, then at the other cheek. Showing no pain, Vlad raised his sword high in the air, and slammed it down at James.

"damn you!" he said before going for a stab.

Vlad slammed his sword into the ground, and left it there. "This is getting us nowhere." He said, keeping his ground. "Let's fight without weapons. The round will be ended a lotr faster that way."

Vlad blocked the punch and pushed it away with his forearm, and proceeded with an uppercut toward James's Jaw.

Vlad quickly grabbed his arm, and swung him over his head. Not letting him go, he lammed him down on the opposite side of him, causing part of the arena to crack slightly. Vlad wiped off the blood from his gaping wound, then stepped off the arena, a little drowsy.

"match won-Vlad." odioen statted due to James's more rough frame I'm going to let that slide, but that could have killed a man.."
"oh who cares?" came a musical voice from the sidelines.
Aurora was standing near his chair, arms wraped up in bandages and one going across her left shoulder.

A small smile of relief grew on Vlad's bleeding face. "I hope you feel much better."

Ryou came limping out of the infirmary and sat next to Aurora. His palms and entire torso were taped up. "Ia heard whatu you said to Auroru. She told me everuthing." He said.

"Well... It is true, he said, not taking his sight off of Aurora.

(Ooh! In my drama class, we were reciting some poems of our own creations about our future. The focus of this was to workon our voice projection, dictation, and so on. When I finished mine, our drama teacher, Mr. Tomei, now refers to me as James Earl Jones. He was the guy who played Darth Vader. It was awesome! Plus, with my old nickname (Rock), Everyone calls me "Darth Rock"!)

Then she frowned," but I don't know what you see in me....I'm headstrong, absent minded, not to mention..." she smirked at the thought," I thought you'd see me as a child.."

She kissed him back, all the things she'd been question falling into place, fitting together perfectly.

Aurora gently pulled away, upon hearing this and looked toward the ring," looks like the prince is up once more.."
