Plot:
The priests and priestesses of the Egyptian gods are special people. They are treated kindly, protected, and love by all. But a priestess of Set, God of Evil and Night, has given her life to raise him from the grave, where Ra had sent him. Now Set is able to slay the other gods and goddess. He can also make a mortal body and kill the followers of the gods.

Gods can not die unless their followers do. So that means that the priests and priestesses are in danger. Set has set out to kill all the followers after he destroyed their gods and made them into mortal babies. Now each priest or priestess has to worry for themselves and the baby gods.

The evil gods that team up with Set are spared and left to do as they wish to slay the followers. The Evil Followers are also helping, trying to find the followers before they can nurse the good gods back to health.

Note:
You can't be a god because it's weird. You can be a follower that has the baby. And if you are a female you could be pregnant and have birth to them later or already have. Whatever, if you're a male it could magical appear one day when you're praying. I don't care just as long as you have one. They also can be no older than four. ‘Kay? Also it is waaaaaayyyy back then so no cars or guns or cell phones people.

Back Round: Irisi doesn't really remember her past, just what the last high preistess of Isis told her. She was dropped off at the temple door, in a basket, and the temple took her in. The last woman, which was named Kakarta, trained her in every way she could which has made Irisi to the way she is today. But still, what she was supposed to name Irisi didn't come to until she found the word written on a sheet of paper stuck to a dove's foot.

RULES

Okay, our fine GM has asked me to be her support in running and writing this game, and thus I am compiling a list of rules and regulations on her behalf. Soul, if you see anything you want to change or add, just say the word.

1. LITERACY. I cannot stress this enough. We want good- or at least decent- writers in this game. Thus, we require the following: capitalization of the first words of sentences and proper nouns (names, specific places, etc.), most words spelled correctly, no chat speak (except in out of character discussion), and no one-liner posts. If English is not your first language, or you're dyslexic or something similar, tell us. But don't lie and say either is when it isn't just so you can be lazy. You will be caught, and then bad things will happen.

2. Character construction. Like Soul said, this is a long, long time ago. So watch the anachronisms. No electricity, cell phones, or many other things modern people take for granted. Especially be careful about names! This is ancient Egypt, people. They did NOT use names like James and Jenny. Use an Egyptian (or at least Arabian) name, folks. If you can't find one, look here:
http://www.20000-names.com/
Names a-plenty, neatly organized by ethnicity. Use them. If we get a priestess named Sarah or Elizabeth or whatever, you will be asked to change it, if not banned outright.

3. This is part of character, but it gets its own section. Specifically, use some detail, people. A background of at least one paragraph. You don't need to write a book; but show us you put some thought into where your person came from. And please, please, no "woe is me I'm so pathetic" backgrounds. Not everyone can be beleaguered and beaten. Keep the melodrama in your history to an absolute minimum. Also, anyone who puts likes and dislikes as "a lot" or "not much" (or something similar) will. Be. Hurt. It's not that hard to come up with a few specifics. Try to be creative, too.

4. Use brackets or OOC to delineate out of character comments.

5. Do not ask to join. You may ask to reserve a specific character, so you can take your time building them. But it's vastly annoying to have someone just say generally "Can I join?" So long as you can follow the rules, there's no reason why you would be banned. Anyone who asks without the specific query for character type will be told no, just because we're being contrary like that.

6. Take the naughty stuff to PM. I probably don't need to say this, but I felt the urge to anyway. We don't want this game shut down, after all.

7. We prefer for you to use anime/art pictures. Also, try to set up your profile like Death did in her post, so it stands out and is easy to read.

Did I forget anything?

Back Round: For some reason, Hasani had always favored Anubis as his favorite God, even as a child. He was so enraptured with Anubis that he took his last name to be a sign. With his family, he pretended to Worship the same way they did but whenever he found a cat he would go to a private hiding spot he had in the village and he would sacrifice the cat to Anubis, starting with the cats his family owned. One day he went to his hiding place and found a puppy which he named Runiharu. At age 16, he left his house with Runiharu and set out on a quest to find Anubis; he loved his God and wanted to serve him properly.

During the nine-year journey, he met many people, some of he killed, some of he settled down with and had children. Well, one night, while Runiharu and he were sleeping, he had a dream that he would met a pregnant woman who would bare Anubis. Two weeks later, he bumbed into the pregnant woman from his dream. Hasani silently followed her and while she slept, he kidnapped her back to his house and cut the baby from her belly, letting her die on the dirty table.

There was no doubt in his mind that the child was Anubis; he was as black as the statues with golden colored irises and even after a premature birth he was awake and moving like a child who was several months old. Since then, he's taken care of Anubis; the greatest God of all (Hasani's words.)

Back Round: Nathifa grew up praising Ra. Her mother was a follower as well and worshipped her mom for her strong will. She went to the temple every day with her, and was trained in fighting by her mother as well. When her mother suddenly disappeared, Nathifa knew that she must take up her mother's place. On her 18th birthday, she was honored as a follower of Ra. She dedicates her life and time to her god. She's had dreams of one day bearing Ra as a child. She dreamed that she would meet a man on her way to the temple, and he would be the one to get her with child. The next day, she met this man and 1 year later, she had a healthy baby who seemed to radiate warmth. She has spent a lot of her time taking care of the baby she knew as her beloved god.

Hair: Nafrit has always kept her hair short, knowing it could be a disadventage in several ways. Her hair is auburn in color, the black had mixed with the dark red of her fathers hair and was later lightened by excessive sunshine.
Eyes: Nafrit got her ever changing eye colors from her long passed grandmother, on her fathers side. Her eye's shift from a bright amber to a dark mahogany, than a soft honey. Hints of green can be found around the pupil ever so often.
Body Build: Nafrit is well built, strong and sturdy from labor though muscles are not very obvious except in her legs. Golden bronzen skin is stretched over a lightly endowed body, Nafrit lacks in feminin curves, with the exception of wide hips thanks to her 'mother'.

Picture: http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i36/kira_ookami/Anime%20Girls/Brown%20hair/43e8ce9b.jpg
Back Round:
Nafrit is the youngest of 3 older siblings; 36 year old Hamadi, 28 year old Baraka, 18 year old Moswen, oldest to youngest- excluding Nafrit. Hamadi and Baraka are her great older brothers and Moswen was her sickly and unnaturally pale older sister, though they are/were only half-siblings. Nafrit was born to a whore her aging father found, the woman gave her over only seconds after her birth, and welcomed to the family.

Nafrit isnt the one who conceived her goddess, it was actually her oldest sister who carried and birthed the child, but she felt every movement and the labor pains 9 months later. Moswen had never been a very healthy or strong girl, so when the news of her pregnancy was recieved, the family mourned and set to doing everything they could to help the girl. It all seemed to go well, though Moswen did not have food cravings, lack of menstrual bleedung, nor did she lactate- Nafrit experienced all these during her sisters pregnancy, plus some, instead.

Will continue later...

Hair: black
Eyes: green
Body Build: Small but sturdy.
Picture:http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o273/Maizah6/anime%20girls/green.jpg
Back Round:Zahra was committed to Osiris by her parents when she was three years old. She doesn't really remember them just that they were very young. She was raised by the last high priestess to take her place and when she died Zahra became high priestess at age eighteen. Since then she's been relatively happy. One night she dreamed that Osiris came to her and spoke into her ear of something she could not remember when she woke. This dream occurred several times more, the last time the god touched her abdomen, a light covering his hand and then he was gone. It wasn't long after that Zahra found herself pregnant and with little doubt about how or who it was that she was carrying.

(Sorry this took so long. I was fussy about it....)

Name: Olufemi
Age: 24
God/Goddess: Nephthys
Power: Healing/defensive magic, detecting and warding against evil
Weapon: Scimitar
How Your God Is: Olufemi is about two to three months along.
Which Side: Good
Likes: Life in the temple, aiding the sick and elderly, children, animals, weaving, dates (the fruit, not the activity), practicing with her scimitar
Dislikes: Cruelty, sickness/disease, close and narrow spaces, being told that she's incapable of doing something.
Pet/Allie: None
Looks/
Hair: Black
Eyes: Golden
Body Build: Curvy, but fit
Picture: http://media.photobucket.com/image/bellydancer/WolvesStorm/ramandia/courage-1.jpg?o=462
Background: Olufemi hasn't always been in the temple. In fact, she was originally the child of a middle class merchant- specifically, a purveyor of beer. Not an elegant job, but a lucrative one. It naturally followed that the family would pay some level of tribute to Nephthys, due to her association with wealth and prosperity. One must acknowledge where one's blessings came from, after all.
There were many who said Nephthys watched over them; like Isis, a celestial mother figure, she guarded with strength and devotion. Olufemi felt almost a sense of harmony, with this. Like the goddess truly was watching. Many people seemed to go through motions, or to just accept that this were true. But Olufemi's faith was a strong one; on some level, she felt as though she were truly carried in the goddess's hand, sheltered by that strength. And, as she grew older, asked to serve it. The devotion stayed with Olufemi, and by the time she reached adolescence, she knew she wished to serve the goddess as a priestess.
Her family took some issue with this, naturally. They had hoped to arrange a good marriage for her, to at the very least the son of a fellow merchant, if not to some sort of government official, which was her father's dream. If Olufemi went off to the temple, this alliance would not happen. But well, she had sisters who could form alliances just as easily. Not to mention that a priestess was held in great reverence.... To have one come from your family was an honor. Hence, Olufemi went to the temple at the age of fourteen, to begin to train.
She came to it a bit late- many girls and young women spent their entire lives, in this. But Olufemi was determined to devote herself fully and completely to Nephthys' service. She is now a full-fledged priestess. A year or so ago, she began having dreams. Visions, more like it. Of a divine hand reaching out to her, guiding her, presenting her with a glowing sphere; no, it was a date. A voice implored upon her to swallow it. Olufemi did so, and when she did, her belly began to swell and expand, as though with child. These dreams followed her for some time. At first, all believed it was a metaphor; a message of some kind. But instead, Olufemi was meant to take it more literally. As part of a ceremony, Olufemi was dressed to represent Nephthys herself. To Olufemi, the ceremony was almost dreamlike. Drifting light, hands reaching, someone drawing her close.... She knew not what had happened, then. It wasn't until much later that it was realized that Olufemi was carrying a child. A child of the gods, bestowed upon her in ceremony.

Power: control light, life, the dead, and healing.
Weapon: double broad swords.
How Your God Is: Four year old child
Which Side: Good
Likes: Aikiiki likes to help people with their problems, make friends, and get to know others. He is very knowledgeable and if he hasn't done it, he has head about someones first had account of it. He also enjoys watching the sun rise and peaceful strolls around the town.
Dislikes: Perhaps Aikiiki's biggest pet peeve would be quitters. He cant stand it when people just give up. Where there is a will, there is a way. Also stubbornness bothers him. He also dislikes crows, and he really doesn't like nuts. ((Get your mind out of the gutter >< NOW))

Picture: http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l48/Kazerak/-anime-guy-2-1.jpg

Back Round: Aikiiki's background was fairly simple and short. His family had always been servants to the mighty god, Seker, and he took the teachings of the light to heart. As he grew up in the temple he met many travelers and villagers, learning from them a bit of a trade or a story of piece of wisdom, until he became wise himself. He is happy with his existence, but when the opportunity arrived, as the most skilled of the temple priests, he had to take the now infant god into his care.

Irisi bustled around the temple nervously. All the high preists and preistesses would be here in a few days and the temple decor wasn't done, the food wasn't in, and the rats had gotten into the celler. Things where not turning out good!

Irisi moved down into the celler to talk the rats into leaving, and threaten them if need be! As she walked down the spiraling stairs she felt a small push in her stomach. She kicked!

She smiled with glee and touched her stomach softly. The baby inside was turning, she could follow the head as it turned. She stroked the small lump of a belly lovingly then contiued down the stairs happily as she thought of what to say to the rats.

Aikiiki wiped a bead of sweat from his brow as he walked along the road. The Egyptian heat beaded down on him relentlessly, but he had leaned to ignore it. Now what mattered was getting to the temple of Isis with his young god of a charge.

He looked down at the small boy who's hand he held and smiled. The boy returned his smile. This child, the god Seker in mortal form, was also born from his sister, making him not only his god, but his nephew and family. It was strange to think he had that kind of bond with the god he had served so long without it.

His improper attire for dressing for traveling was widely based on the fact that in their haste to depart in time to get to the temple early he had forgotten to pack the proper traveling attire for the young god, and had to give him his in order to protect him from the heat and the sun. It was nothing he couldn't handle though.

Pressing on at a moderated pace for the small child that walked with him, Aikiiki continued towards the temple of Isis and the meeting that would set the pace for his destiny

Olufemi wasn't having such a good morning. She'd awoken the past couple of weeks with the most turbulent feeling in her midsection.... For the most part, her expectant state didn't unduly change her days, as yet. But this feeling was a new one, and Olufemi hoped the stage passed soon.
Even as she tried to drag herself off her sleeping couch- moving slowly, so as not to retch- a novice attendant approached her, with water and plain flat bread. It was all Olufemi could handle, in the morning. And the bread often helped settle her stomach. Not everyone got such attention, but... Olufemi was considered special, in the temple. Mother of a holy child, they wanted to see her carefully guarded. Just as Nephthys herself guarded them, like children. Hence, Olufemi had a regular train of young novices taking it in turns to attend her.
When she was further along, no doubt some assistance would be welcome. But after this sickness of the waking hours passes, she found it something of a nuisance, even though she never let this be known. To do so would be ungrateful, after all.
And today was an important day. She must make her way to the temple of Isis; an assortment of priests and priestesses were meeting there, on behalf of the various deities. Olufemi was Nephthys' representative. After all, she had been given a child by the goddess herself.
In due course, she was able to eat enough to get her stomach settled again. Yes, feeling more normal now.... Then it was time to dress and prepare for the meeting. A careful process, to look as dignified as was needed for one of her position. After which, depart for the meeting.

Like every day, Hasani was either awoken to the painful beat of sun on his eyes, massive licking by his animal friend, or the soft cries of the child he protected; today was no different. Sitting up from the small grassy turf he had stumbled upon, Hasani shielded his dark green colored eyes as he looked to the child that was trying to crawl away but was being held back by Runiharu, whom had a grip on the child's wrapping with his teeth. When Ruinharu saw that Hasani was awake, he stood up and carried the babyboy to Hasani, practically dumbing him in Hasani's lap, as though he was tired of watching the child.

Looking down at the giggling babyboy, Hasani felt the corners of his lips twitch into what could have been called a "smile." Picking up baby Anubis, Hasani held the child to his chest as he fished out his flask of water and let Anubis drink from it. Afterwards, Hasani poured some into his hand for Runiharu to drink from then he took a few sips of it himself. He also noted that he was running low on supplies; hopefully they could find a town soon. Returning the flask to its place at his hip, Hasani stood up and headed up, followed by his faithful companion, Runiharu.

They were helded to the temple of Isis. He had heard from a reliable source that the goody Gods and Goddesses would be there, and he was going to kill them all. Hasani's smile turned feral as he looked down at Anubis; and his precious, little baby would grow up and be the only God... He, of course, had to kill the other bad Gods after he finished off the good ones, but that was later; he couldn't have them know of his plan just yet and they might even help him get rid of the good Gods. "Isn't that right, my God, Anubis?" Hasani purred, nuzzling the child and making him squeal with delight.

Zahra sat down under a tree, not caring that she would have trouble getting up again. She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath and beginning to relax. The journey to Isis's temple was stressful and she was dreading going into yet another crowded city. She took another deep breath and held it for a moment before slowly letting it out, allowing the stress to flow with it.

A nudge from inside made her gasp as it was followed by a harder kick. Her hand was on her stomach in an instant, rubbing the spot where she'd felt her baby. She smiled, looking down at her swollen abdomen. She'd always been fond of children but since high priestesses weren't supposed to reproduce she had never thought of having her own. Now not only was she going to have a child of her own, she was going to give birth to the very god she worshiped. The honor of carrying the mighty god Osiris was tremendous. But some how it seemed dwarfed by the amount of love she felt for the infant growing inside her.

Mesi sighed softly to herself as she walked along the path, leading to the temple; it shouldn't be much longer now, she hoped anyway. The heat of the sun was making her rather fair skin burn, the light making her hair shine a platinum blond, she felt so... noticeable. Frowning she looked down at the small, sleeping baby she held and her thoughts slipped away; this was her Goddess.

They were heading to meet others that were in a situation like them, other Gods and Goddess of course, but, it was still exciting to her. To meet others in this situation was... comforting.

After speaking an hour or so to the rat leader Irisi padded up the hundred or so stairs to only have her knees taken out by her emtremly large cats. He slammed into her shins and rolled against her purringly loudly and speaking to her.

With amazing effort she picked her cat up and slung him over her dainty shoulders. He rested on them, stroking the lump in her tummy with his tail.

Both happy Irisi moved to the kitchen. "Has anything come in?" The squire grimanced. "No, bandits are stealing the food from the caravans.." They both sighed.

Once again the harvest was a hard one and Irisi wasn't having any of it. Irisi cursed then darted off to check on the bed rooms the rest of the followers would stay in.

As Aikiiki continued on the road, he felt a tug on his arm. He looked down to see the young Seker, words on his tongue, but none coming out. "You want me to carry you?" he offered, smiling down at the young boy who immediately beamed and nodded.

"Up you go" Aikiiki chimed, picking the young god up, and holding him in his hands. As the child giggled, he continued to walk, determined to make it to the temple of Isis before the day was done. His travel was slow because of the child, but he imagined most of the others were slowed even more, and he didn't even want to think about the poor pregnant priestess who were making this journey from far.

All of this, because one of the dark gods became greedy... so much suffering for such a foolish reason. "But we're going to make it all better, right Seker?" "My lady, please, will you ride on the cart?" Kamsha, her guard, asked. He'd been trying to get her on the cart for a few days now but she refused.
"I'm not going to ride on the cart," she told him. "It wouldn't be fair. The donkey can't pull all of us you know."

Ebonee held Adjo's hand, the young boy not complaining as they walked. Ebonee had raised the young god well if she did say so herself. The priestess of Set made her way to the temple where she was to meet all other priests and priestess's of other Gods. God that were -some- miles apart in what they taught. Hopefully - no war came about in this meeting.
Sighing softly, Ebonee hadnt realized that Adjo looked at her curiously. The spitting image of his mother - Adjo's deep eyes looked at the face that was so familiar in concern. Ebonee smiled down at her son, picking him up and making a small rasberry on his cheek. He giggled, 'pushing' her away. To be honest, Adjo didnt even try. For a while longer, Adjo stayed within his mother's arms, resting away while the elder female made her way toward their destination.

Kemosiri delt with Kanika playing with his headpiece and his short hair, holding the skinny girl on his shoulders as he walked. He also made an attempt to ignore the attempts to speak clearly and correctly. Smiling softly, he looked over to see Kanika attempt to put his head piece on right. He couldnt help it. A deep chuckle arose from his chest and bubbled out. She looked down at her father curiously. Setting her down, Kemosiri decided not to take the wine she made to heart, fixing his, to Kanika, large headpiece to fit her head deciently. Kanika giggled happily, making Kemosiri smile in pure happiness that his child was happy.
Picking Kanika back up again, she held onto her father's head, enjoying the all too familiar sights of Egypt. Eventually, though, he held her in his arms so Kanika didnt fall off his shoulders in her sleeping state. He looked down to his sleeping child, instant love forming once more for her. Kimosiri looked away, he -too- focusing on the desitination they were headed in.

Irisi inspected the gardens and many other places until she was over come with relief. The supplies where here. She bustled to help get everything inside. People constantly expressed their protests and concern but Irisi simply laughed them aside. "I am mother to the goddess of fertility, I do not fear. I am the mother. I carry this child. I know what I can and cannot do. If she cannot handle what I normally do she'll never be able to survie out here."

That was her common arguement and people often silanced after hearing it once. She knew, her goddess would not be hurt. And her goddess knew, her mother would not be hurt either.

Irisi easily picked up boxes of fruit from the ground that had to weigh twenty pounds. Then she set to bustling around the kitchen setting fires in the clay stoves with her magic. She even used wind to chop the veggies.

She helped cook the goat soup and the wild hog. She made the desserts and many of the loaves of bread. She also set to making many other things for the feast tonight.

After taking all the back pain she could stand, she walked into the worship area and went to sit before the alter. She sat with her legs under her, her large belly touching her stomach.

She sat and prayed for safty to the other gods and a change of heart for the evil. She prayed for good harvest next month and a happy life.

As she prayed she could feel the child moving around much more, like she was alter and aware of what was being asked.

Calmed and relaxed, the preistess stood and moved to go check on the horses in the stable, the child stilling.

She wished she could be there now, but she had something a little more important to take care of right now and she wasn't going to stop just because of some stones. Olufemi dressed carefully, in white draperies, trimmed in gilt trappings. Her normal everyday wardrobe was more colorful. But in this, the full essence of priestesshood was required. And priestesses, by tradition, wore the white and gold.
It was strange, really, Olufemi thought as her train (for the temple would not allow her to travel unaccompanied) set out. She could feel the small life growing inside her, a little more every day. But outwardly, there was no sign. She wasn't far enough along yet for there to be a bulge; that wouldn't be apparently for a couple more months, the doctors said. So for now, all she resembled as another high priestess making a journey in state. Finely dressed, attended, but... one of many others of such a state.
Olufemi's hand rested gently over her midriff, as they rode. In a few months, all will be different. When you are born, little Nephthys. She felt a surge, as though a glow filled her within. The child was too small to feel, but she knew she was there all the same. And that when she came, she would help fill the world with brightness.

The temple was made from ivory, taced and lined with gold and silver, even in some rooms it had pericous gems embeded in the walls. Around around the temple grounds where deer, goats, chicken, moose, doves, colorful birds, and more beautiful animals.

There was no sign of uglieness anywhere. Even the servant where pretty, more so, the clothes they wore.

The magnificent beauty of the temple of Iris never seemed to astound Aikiiki. Even his own temple, which was also a marvel of unearthly beauty seemed lacking when compared to it. He remembered when he was younger and father came to this temple for a different meeting and brought him along, now it seemed he was repeating the process with his nephew.

He came to a halt when he spotted four men approach him from the entrance to the temple. He bowed slightly, the movement restricted by the child in his arms. "Greetings. I am Aikiiki, high priest of Seker." he introduced elegantly, then waited for instructions

The guards bowed back, much more deeply than he had. "Welcome, M'Lord, welcome to the temple of Isis. Our high priestess Irisi has been exspecting you. She is waiting your company at the temple stairs." The captain of the guards said pointing at the woman ontop of the stairs.

She was clothed in beautiful gold and ivory white robes, her seven month stomach sticking out, yet, it made her seem even more beautiful. Her hair blew behind her shinning in the light, like a bright bannor. She smiled and guestured for him to approach.

Aikiiki bowed shallowly as he approached Irisi, since he didn't think Seker liked all the bowing motions. "It is an honor lady priestess" he said, mostly polite formalities. She certainly was a beautiful woman, and the motherly glow around her only seemed to augment that fact. Still.. she was a priestess and he was a priest, so he had to keep his 'male mind' in check.

Aikiiki was a young adult at about six feet of height, dark tanned skin and short white hair. He was dressed in a long robe that was tied at the lower torso with a belt, almost giving it the appearance of being two separate garbs. It was wrapped around his shoulders in a way that showed off his broad build, but narrowed since his figure did the same.

The guards kept trying to get Olufemi to ride under a shaded palanquin, or even inside a litter. She would have none of it. To hide under shadows... it felt wrong, somehow. This day, she needed to be in the light. Sand from the road could be dusted off well enough, after all.
After a few hours of travel, there ahead was the temple of Isis. Rising out of the sands, golden stone bathed in the light of the sun; it almost appeared to be gilded, in this illumination. A guard insisted on helping Olufemi down from her mount, murmuring something about dignity. Olufemi felt being lifted to the ground like a child wasn't precisely dignified, but the guard was much bigger than her, so she let it pass....
Either way, it was time to approach the gates. Two figures stood there; a priestess and a priest, in formal garb. White robes fluttering about her as they caught the breeze, golt headdress gleaming atop her carefully arrranged dark hair, she bowed in formal greeting of equals. "Good day unto you both. I am Olufemi, who stands for Nephthys."

When the Temple of Isis came into view, Hasani stopped and kneeled down. Runiharu was all right; he was red for goodness sakes. But Anubis... Well, he needed work. Gently setting the child down, Hasani went through his bag and took out a small container of body paint. After some work on the squirming child, Anubis looked like a regular Egyptian baby, though he still had gold irises; perhaps it wouldn't be to noticeable? Returning his bag to his hip, Hasani picked up Anubis then the clothe that he had set Anubis on and wrapped it around the baby.

Hasani did a quick one-over of his body to make sure he looked like he had been lost in the desert: dirty and sweaty. Perfect. Hasani went for the temple, forcing a pant on himself to make it look like he'd been wandering for so long. Even Runiharu, the canine, was working for it. Hasani neared the guards and called out for help, "falling" to his knees.

"My wife died in childbirth and everyone thought it was my son's fault. They... They wanted to kill him..."

Hasani turned back to the baby in his arms who was crying. "We've been in the desert for two years... If you could please... Something about the man down there frightened his godly nephew, but it was normal for a child to fear strangers. He had to settle for observing from a distance, watching, and rocking Seker in his arms slowly, trying to convince him there was nothing to fear

But Seker knew better. On some primordial level he sensed the god of death near, for their roles in the afterlife were intertwined and so too their powers. He would not be fooled by the fleshy form, but his infant mind would not process the activities of the higher spirit.

Irisi smiled at the preists that moved to help. "Yes, you may have shelter here at my temple. You are more than welcome." She stood, wobbily, as one of her guards struggled to help her up. She took the help, one hand under her stomach, almost like holding the baby up so not to feel the muscle strain in her stomach.

"Prepare a room for him. Get the servants to get a warm bath ready. Clean clothes and anything he wishes for is to be given..." She spoke softly to the guard, in a deep language which sounded more like song than a language.

He looked at the man grimly and ran off. The other three guards stood behind her protectively.

Comfortingly she touched th baby inside her. The moment the man had arrived, she'd gottne very still, and it worried her.

Zahra's smile grew as her baby moved excitedly when people came into view. There were four of them and three guards. One Two priests with children the priestess of Isis, she was unmistakable and farther along than Zahra, and another priestess who must have been in her early months, who perhaps her child was already inside?
She approached the priestess of Isis, her hands clasped under her stomach in a vague attempt to calm the child in side her who would not stop turning in excitement. "Greetings," she said, "From the temple of Osiris. I am Zahra."

So far so good; it seemed to be that all were to busy being worried then to actually take his story into account and realize that the three (dog included) looked pretty healthy since they had apparently been "wondering the desert" for so long. It wasn't the whole truth: yes, they had been in the desert, but they hadn't been wondering. Hasani had known exactly where they were going; he had had the whole thing planned out and knew where and when to stop to hae fading from the sun, heat in the night, and food and water to keep them going.

Hasani was thanking them for their kindess but then he heard Olufemi mention a bath and his breath stilled; the makeup he had used on the Anubis baby might come off in a bath. Think of something quickly! "I would like it if we could bathe together..." Hasani started in a soft, but haggarded tone. "I'm all he's had since birth; he would become upset without me around." He wasn't expecting the men to understand but he was positive that the women would; women always knew how to think through things and they would realize the closeness of the child and he would be disturbed if he left.

Irisi's hand probbed around her stomach poking softly, the baby kicked once but not again. She frowned and looked at the man. They seemed to be in good health, but she could never, ever turn someone away that needed help, even if they where hidding something. She smiled at the group of people around her. "You all must be very tired and hungry, I have a large meal prepared in the dinning hall and fresh beds made as well."

She turned and motioned for them all to follow. "I will have servant bring your things to you, so worry about nothing more than caring for yourselfs..." She smiled and moved to walk to the stairs, waddling greatly, but still making it look graceful.

Aikiiki held Seker close to him. The young god seemed to be troubled by something. This was an expression that no child should wear, but it betrayed the true nature of the wisdom beneath the human form. His mind and body may have been that of a child, but his spirit was that of a god, and that would burn just as powerfully regardless of form.

Still.. Seker seemed to know something wasn't right, and so it worried Aikiiki. But he had to be true to the teachings he grew up with, and his name, and could not be skeptical of this man in need. Instead he simply chose to distance himself and his nephew from him, so that maybe the boy could relax.

He turned to Irisi and smiled, wiping away his concerns for a moment. "Thank you for your hospitality" he said with another shallow bow, so as not to disturb the child in his arms, and then fallowed after her. He had been traveling for quite some time and his mind was weary and he couldn't exactly think straight, maybe after some food, water, and rest he would be able to think more coherently and figure out what was bothering Seker so much.
