Aiden sighed as she skateboarded to the theater with her Electric-Acoustic guitar on her back. She knew things were going to change today for the worse or better, she did not know. She made it to the theater and walked inside, heading to the room where the performers practiced and she played.

Oliver was already at the theater, watching the performers. His father had dropped him off earlier to "over see" things. He didn't really know why his father had left him to do it, but he didn't mind.
((What exactly does he start commanding others to do?))

((Basically anything he wants, do this again, go get me this, that's not right do it this way, etc.))
Aiden walked into the practice room knowing she was a bit late, but really her playing for practices was more of a luxury for the dancers, plus it was her job. She made her way over to the piano in the room, and sat down on the bench sitting the guitar she had brought, beside her and out of the way, silently.

"Now that it seems everyone is here, we can officially get started,"Oliver said, standing in fron of everyone, their eyes on him. "I'm Oliver Stone, my father bought this place, and has put me in charge. So, I understand that you are currently working on a new routine, now let's see it,"he commanded with a stern look, sending people scattering into place.

Oh joy... she thought with a sigh. She loosened her fingers, before sitting them on the keys, the first routine was to a very nice, amazing song 'The River Flows in You by Yiruma'. She made sure the dancers where ready before she started to play.

Oliver watched and about 10 seconds in, he stopped them. "Please stop piano player. Alright, you, come here,"he said, crooking his finger at a blonde in the front. Timidly, she walked over to him. "First, point your toes. Also, you need to hold your arms stronger. They look flimsy, almost like noodles,"he said, she nodded, quickly moving back into place. "Again,"he instructed.

"Aiden" she corrected, after he called her the piano player. She sighed and waited for him to do, what he was going to do. She started the song again, hoping she would get to play it all the way through. Practices could get annoying with a lot of stops.

Oliver waited through the whole song, making mental corrections in his head. Once the song was done, he immdediately started his critique. "A lot of your movements are all over the place. Try to stay in your own area. Your arms and legs look limp, and your faces expressionless. Let's run it again, and this time, try to smile. If you'd start Aiden,"he said, looking over at her.

She nodded, and began again, hoping the dancers would meet his demands, or they were going to be here a while. She closed her blue eyes, and just let the music take over, she had played this song so many times, she did not have so see to know how to play it.

01-29-2009, 12:58 AM
"Nope. Noodles people! That is what I see,"Oliver exclaimed, his accent making his voice cut through the air like a whip. "Make your movements fluid, yet strong,"he said, giving them a demonstration of how it should look. "Everyone got it,"he asked, looking out at them all, recieving a few nods back.

Aiden stopped as soon as he started talking. She looked around at the dancers, the lively bunch seemed scared of this guy for some reason. She would have to talk to them during break. She started the song again, after he finished speaking.

Oliver walked around the group as they danced, glad they had taken in words into consideration. "Much better,"he said after they had finished. "Now, again,"he said, leaning against the wall.

Aiden sighed, she needed to record this song, so they could play to a cd. She shook her head and began to play, she was half-way through the song when something got in her eye, making her miss a note as she tried to get it out. She grimaced at the sound of the missed note, but continued hoping to get away with the mistake.

01-29-2009, 01:35 AM
"Alright stop please. Since your pianist missed a note. Start over,"Oliver instructed, looking over at Aiden.

01-29-2009, 01:37 AM
Aiden tensed this guy was going to get under her skin that was for sure. Half the dancers did not even notice the note, and the other half ignore it, because it was rare for Aiden to mess up. She took in a breath calming down, as she started the song again.

Oliver worked one on one with the dancers if they messed up, but let the music go. His sharp eyes watched for any mistakes made, ready to correct someones mistake.

"Just let them be" she muttered under her breath, she knew most of these people, and it seemed to her they were messing up because of nerves. Once the song finished, Aiden let her fingers relax, for the time being.
MuchoMachoMachine
01-29-2009, 01:46 AM
"I will let them be once they get it perfectly,"Oliver said, passing the piano. "Five minute break,"he announced and everyone dispersed.

"Perfection is something perceived, never achieved, because what is perfect in your eyes, is not in someone else's" she commented getting up from the piano, and going over to the dancers. "Ace, you my dear are crazy" commented Nick as he wrapped an arm around her shoulder as he made he sit down with the others as they drank from their water bottles. "I guess" she agreed with him, a smile on her face. "You think you can play the Circle of Life today?" questioned someone quietly, "Maybe" she replied back.

Oliver idly watched everyone in the room, his eyes resting for a moment on Aiden before his cellphone went off in his bag, no doubt a message from his father asking how things were.

01-29-2009, 01:56 AM
"You guys need to relax and have fun you know what you are doing" she commented to them. "Yeah, you make it sound so easy" stated Nick. "Yeah, you want to play piano?" she teased "No, no, that song you are playing is insanely hard" he commented. "Yeah, it is" she agreed.

01-29-2009, 01:59 AM
Oliver stowed his phone back in his bag, and took a quick drink of water before turning back to the others. "Breaks over everyone,"he announced, clasping his hands together.

Nick got up quickly as did the other dancers. Aiden got up and went back to the piano, she waited to see what they were going to do, before she would start to play, if she got lucky maybe they would be practicing without music for a bit. She loosened her fingers again, not wanting them to cramp up.
MuchoMachoMachine
01-29-2009, 02:05 AM
"Right now, we're just going to listen to the instrumental part. But while your listening, picture doing the dance along with it. Now Aiden, if you will,"Oliver said, gesturing for her to begin.
kapu99
01-29-2009, 02:08 AM
She nodded and began to play, it at the right pace. She was relaxed right now, and just let the music feel the practice room. She had been known to help the dancers out a couple of times in the past, and slow a sound down or speed it up to keep them on beat, but when she played without having to think of them, she played at the music's pace.
MuchoMachoMachine
01-29-2009, 02:12 AM
Oliver listened, glad there were no mistakes being made that he needed to correct.
kapu99
01-29-2009, 02:15 AM
Aiden continued the song, finishing it perfectly, even though she did not believe in perfection in somethings, in music she did. She sighed and waited to see what he was going to have the dancers do now.
MuchoMachoMachine
01-29-2009, 02:20 AM
"Very nicely done Aiden. Well, for the rest of the time here, just practice on keeping your moves graceful and fluid, yet strong. That is all,"Oliver said, bowing his head to them and exiting the practice room with his bag.

Grins crossed the dancers' faces. "Aiden is your electric guitar still here?" questioned Nick. "Yeah, why" she commented as she looked at them. "Let's have a little fun" someone stated. "Play Cannon for us" another said. "Ok..." she stated, as she went and got her guitar that was in the room. She hooked it up, and for once was glad this room was sound proof. She began to play and the dancers began making up a random routine.

Oliver sat outside the practice room. He'd retrieved his acoustic guitar from where he'd stowed it earlier, and it now sat in his lap. He idly strummed a few strings, not much in the mood to play, but he had nothing better to do.

She laughed as she watched them have fun. This was what the arts were about, having fun doing what it is you love. She smiled she continued to play, and the dancers enjoyed themselves.

Oliver stowed his guitar and silently entered the practice room, nobody noticing him there. He sat down in a corner watching the dancers and Aiden as she played.

01-29-2009, 02:37 AM
Aiden was pulled from her sitting position by one of the dancers, she was hooked up wirelessly to a hidden amp, so she could move, and to keep things out of the way. She played as she did some of the steps they made up with them. Once the song finished, everyone laughed "That was awesome" someone commented, and everyone agreed not noticing Oliver.
MuchoMachoMachine
01-29-2009, 02:44 AM
Oliver was content to just watch, not needing to be involved. He found the best way to get to know someone, was by simply watching.
kapu99
01-29-2009, 02:46 AM
Aiden laughed again as she sat back down at the piano bench, carefully setting her guitar down. That's when she noticed Oliver in the room, and apparently all the dancers did too, because they got back to work. She sat there resting and watching them, they did not need music right now.
MuchoMachoMachine

Oliver got up and walked across the room, sitting down next to Aiden. "You're a very good musician,"he commented, glancing over at her.

"Thanks, been playing a while" she commented her Australian accent showing. She was telling the truth about playing for a while, her hands were torn up from playing so much, especially when she played a song like that. She did not mind though, she was use to it by now.
MuchoMachoMachine
01-29-2009, 02:52 AM
"How long have you been coming here,"Oliver asked, leaning back against the wall.
kapu99
01-29-2009, 02:54 AM
"About three years" she replied as she watched the dancers. She liked watching, but she never danced unless, it was just random messing around. She looked back over to him, not wanting to be rude.
MuchoMachoMachine
01-29-2009, 02:56 AM
"And when did you leave Australia,"Oliver asked, looking at her as well.
kapu99
01-29-2009, 11:35 AM
"When I was 11, when did you leave England?" she questioned since she had also noticed his accent. Around here, most people were American, so accents were noticeable.
MuchoMachoMachine
01-30-2009, 02:04 AM
"A little less than a year ago,"Oliver replied, turning his gaze to the dancers.

01-30-2009, 02:34 AM
"Miss it?" she questioned, knowing that she missed her real home, she went back every now and again, and got to go surfing, which was one of her favorite things to do. She watched the dancers, thinking about their movements, and what songs went well with them.
MuchoMachoMachine
01-30-2009, 02:37 AM
"Very much so, but New Yorks not so different since it's basically just as crowded. The smells are different though. You miss Australia,"Oliver asked.

01-30-2009, 11:43 AM
"I would be lying if I said I didn't, living on an island, and living in the city are two different things, this place reminds of Japan" she commented. Japan had been a crowded place in the cities, but in the country it was very pretty.
MuchoMachoMachine
01-31-2009, 02:21 AM
"I liked Japan alright. I went there last summer after my dad helped open an art museum there,"Oliver said, glancing over at her.
kapu99
01-31-2009, 01:49 PM
"I spent two years there, before coming here" she commented with a slight smile. "It was nice, but nothing beats home" she said with a sigh.

(I will just bump for now.)
MuchoMachoMachine
02-01-2009, 11:27 PM
"Of course, considering home is where the heart is after all,"Oliver said, smiling over at her.
kapu99
02-01-2009, 11:31 PM
"True" she replied as she watched the dancers, yeah they needed work that was for sure. She sighed this routine was so boring, it was not even funny. "So what do you think about the routine?" she questioned.
MuchoMachoMachine
02-01-2009, 11:38 PM
"It's sloppy. They're good dancers, but they aren't putting enough effort into it. It's like they just woke up, and started dancing. Their movements are slow, and a bit off. But it's a promising bunch, and with some work, they can be great,"Oliver replied, watching them as well.
kapu99
02-01-2009, 11:40 PM
"I don't think they like the routine, usually if they like something, they are all happy and excited, this is like they are being forced" she replied as her fingers made the way to the keys of the piano, and she started to mess around with different notes.
MuchoMachoMachine
02-01-2009, 11:41 PM
"Then why did they stick with it? Why not change,"he asked, looking over at her.
kapu99
02-01-2009, 11:44 PM
"Last owner came up with the routine, and tell promised they would preform it" she replied. "I think they should trash it and start over, but that's just my opinion" she commented.
MuchoMachoMachine
02-01-2009, 11:47 PM
"Then that's what they should do. Just a second,"he said, getting up and moving to the front of the room. "Sorry to disturb everyone, but how many of you actually like the routine,"he asked.
kapu99
02-01-2009, 11:49 PM
Aiden chuckled slightly, when no one raised their hand. She had been right, they did not like the routine. "The song is great, the routine sucks" commented one of the dancers.
