I bit my lip hard, sitting in the middle of my bed as I looked down the barrel of the pistol in my hand. I took in a deep, shaky breath, the tears falling freely. I turned off the safety, then looked back to the gun once again. I was ending it here, ending it today. The pain was too much to bear anymore, and it was slowly eating my alive. I held the 3 page letter I had written to my family and friends in my free hand, addressing everyone of importance and apologizing for my reason behind this. I ended the letter with a full page dedicated to the love of my life, Bill. Hopefully, he wouldn't be home in time to catch me like this.

Tom smiled, getting into his car. They had gotten back home early from touring, and was excited to be back. He started the car and pulled out of the driveway and headed down the street. The first person he had to see was Kiahnna. He's felt horrible for not calling as often as he should, or having the time to return her calls. He was just so excited to see her again.

Kiahnna's hand shook as she slowly clicked off the safety of the gun. She sat indian style on her bed, next to the lengthy letter addressed to Tom, her parents, and Ani- the one person who knew her pain. She only hoped she wouldn't be brought to this, too. But at the same time, she wanted Tom to feel that pain. But she was sure he had already forgotten her, probably even replaced her. She brushed her thumb across the barrel of the gun, still contemplating.

Bill hopped into his car, shoving it into reverse and rushing out of the driveway, down the street to Ani's house. He had gotten home early from touring, and he wanted to surprise her- starting with an apology for all the jerkish things he had put her through the past months.

I looked down the barrel of the gun once again, choking back the tears that so desperately wanted to escape. I placed the gun to my temple with a shaky hand. I had worked up this much nerve, and it was too late to take it back. I had to end it here and now.

Tom drove down the road, and quickly pulled into Kiahnna's driveway. He picked up the bouquet of roses from the passengers seat and headed up to her front door.

Bill pulled into her driveway, taking the roses and big, stuffed, white bear and walking up to her house.

Kiahnna blinked back the tears, placing the note neatly beside her, straightening the covers on her bed. She had always been a perfectionist.. She sighed quietly and held the gun to her temple with a shaky hand.

I bit my lip hard, taking in one last deep breath, filling up my lungs until they felt they were to burst, before slowly letting it back out. I placed the letter to my side, out of the way so it wouldn't be stained. The pain was finally about to end...

Tom smiled as he walked up to her front door, not bothering to knock as he let himself in, only hoping to surprise her, and not scare the living hell out of her. He walked into the house and down the familiar hall, approaching Kiahnna's room fast.

Kiahnna bit down hard on her lip, then relaxed slightly. She took a deep breath in, the last one she wanted, pressing the barell further into her temple, her finger finding the trigger.

Bill walked into her house, finding it unlocked, just hoping she would hbe happily surprised to see him again. He quickly walked down the halways, going upstairs.

I placed my finger on the trigger, my hand shaking nervously. I blinked twice, a few tears falling from my eyes. My eyes shot up from their place on my lap, hearing something. I stiffened, hearing the stairway steps creaking. Someone was coming. Who? My mom was out shopping, my father was at work. "No.." I said softly, my throat tight, my voice hoarse. It just couldn't be...

Tom walked down the hallway, coming up on Kiahnna's bedroom door. He placed his hand on the knob, slowly turning it. "Guess who..?" he called, pushing the door open only slightly.

Kiahnna looked up, taking in a panicked breath. She had to do it now.. but her hand wouldn't move. She just couldn't do it.

Bill grinned, coming up to her room. He tapped on the door. "Guess who?" he asked playfully, pushing the door open.

Tom pushed the door open, his eyes going wide to the scene before him. He dropped the roses and walked over to her, gently taking the gun from her and tossing it to the side. "Kiahnna..I'm so sorry.." he said, taking her into his arms. He felt all he could do now was apologize.

I stiffened to the voice, my suspicion was right. I tried to force myself to move, to pull the trigger. But I couldn't. I couldn't move.

Kiahnna pulled herself away from him, a tear slipping down her cheek as she turned away from him.

Bill stepped into the room, dropping everything in his hands at the sight before him. "Annora... I'm so sorry.." he said, taking her into his arms after tossing the gun aside.

Tom gently pulled her back to him, holding her securely. "I'm so sorry.." he said over and over again, wiping away her tears.

I shook my head, pulling away from him as I broke down before him, tears beginning to freely fall down my cheeks.

She broke into full sobs, almost disentigrating at his hold. Everything holding her up for the past months had fallen apart, and all she could do was cry.

"I'm sorry, Ani..." he murmured over and over, pulling her back, safe and secure in his arms as he wiped away her tears. "So sorry..." he murmured, rocking her gently.

Tom held her in his arms, gently rubbing her back. "Kiahnna... I'm so, so sorry.." he said over and over again, holding her close as he rocked her gently.

I didn't fight it. I broke down into sobs. Everything I had built up, all the hate, all the sadness... Gone. He was back, and he was slowly making it all better. I clutched onto him, just crying.

Kiahnna just cried. All at the same time, she wanted to slap him, kiss him, tell him everything that he had done to her, confront him, breathe in his scent again, love him.. It was a strange wave of emotions and the only way she knew how to handle it was to cry.

"I'm so sorry, Ani.." he murmured over and over, holding her close against himiself.

Tom held her close, comfortingly rubbing her back as he continued to gently rock her. "I'm so sorry, Kiahnna.. I'm so sorry.." he whispered over and over.

I just cried, letting out all the extreme emotions I had within me. I wanted to hate him for all the hurt he's caused, I wanted to forgive him and just love him, I wanted to hit him, tell him off, tell him how much he had hurt me. But all of that was pushed to the back of my head.

She gave another sob, pulling herself away from his grasp.

Bill rubbed her back. "I'm so sorry.. I'm such an ass.." he murmured. "I know.. I feel so terrible." he murmured.

Tom refused to let her go. He pulled her back into him, gently rubbing her back. "I'm so sorry... I'm so horrible..." he murmured. "I"m so, so sorry."

I shook my head, choking back another sob as I pulled back from him.

She stood, walking out of the room and into her brother's former room, shutting the door and sliding down to the floor, resting against the door.

Bill refused to let her go, pulling her back into his arms securely. "I'm so sorry Ani. I.. I can't even describe how terrible and regretful I feel. I know I messed up.. I know you won't be able to completely forive me..." he mumbled.

Tom frowned, getting up off the bed and following after her. "Kiahnna..." he called desperately. "Kiahnna, I know nothing I can ever say can describe how sorry, and how regetful I am about all of this. I messed up. I messed up beyond words. I know that you can never completely forgive me.." he begged through the door.

I shook my head, trying not to be brought in by his words, by his apologies. "I-I can't..." I croaked, my thoat tight.

She let out another pathetic sob. At least she couldn't see his face, but only hearing him was working on her heart. "I- I can't.." she said in a small, tight voice. "Give me back the gun."

Bill stroked her hair gently. "Ani.. please.." he begged.

Tom frowned. "I absolutely refuse to put that back in your hands. Kiahnna, I don't want to see you hurt. I'm going to make it better. I know you can't forgive me so easily for what I've done. But I'm just asking for a chance. Kiahnna, I can't loose you.. I can't my life without you in it."

I shook my head. "Bill.. I-I just can't... It h-hurt so much.. I want it to stop.."

She held back a few more sobs. "Tom.. you have no.. earthly.. idea.. how much.. pain" she said, emphasizing 'pain' "I have been through.. since you" She emphasized 'you' as well. ' "left." she said in a tight voice, looking around her brother's old room.. She hadn't been in here since her birthday... the day he killed himself.

Bill looked to her, with pleading in his eyes. "I can help.. All I need is a second chance.. that's all I'm asking from you.. please."

Tom pressed himself up against the door. "Kiahnna, I know I've hurt you. I know nothing I can ever do, or say, can take that back. But I want to make up for it. Kiahnna, all I'm asking is for a second chance. Please..."

I looked away. I couldn't look at him. The second I would, I'd forgive him. I just know it. I shook my head vigorously, making myself dizzy from the sudden motion. "You have no idea what you've put me through. All the tears, all the pain. Every. Single. Night. I cried myself to sleep, blaming myself for the reasons you didn't call. I don't think I can do any of this anymore.."

She moved away from the door. "No. You have no idea.. the pain you put me through. I was in tears, every single night.. blaming myself because you weren't calling me.. because I thought I had done something wrong.. and all I could do was imagine you replacing me with another one of those slutty fangirls of yours." she said, curling up into a small ball on the bed.

"Ani, I swear, I won't hurt you ever again, please. Just one more chance. That's all I need."

I bit my lip, shaking my head once again. I looked up to him, into his face. Was he lying to me? Would he hurt me on purpose? I surely hope not. "Bill... I can't get hurt again. This first time nearly killed me."

"T-tom.. I don't think.. I could risk being hurt like that again.. it almost killed me.." she said quietly, burying her face in her brother's pillow, simply breathing in his scent. Noone had touched his room for the past three months..

"Ani.. I would never hurt you again.. I was crazy to even let it happen once.." he said sincerely, looking straight back at her.

"Kiahnna.. I could never live with myself if I hurt you again. To let it happen even once was foolish." Tom said, slumping against the door.

I swallowed hard, biting my lip. "I-I don't know.. I don't think I can.." I said softly, unable to look away from him. Damn it.

"How am I supposed to believe you, when six months you were showering me with "I'll call you every day, I'll text you every day, I'll email as often as I can, and we'll write letters, too?" she said, swiping at her eyes again.

Bill looked sincerely at her. "Please, Ani. Just one chance."

Tom banged his head against the door slightly. "I know.. I should have made an effort to call, or just to type out a few little words on my cell. There is no excuse for what an ass I was. But I want to make that all up to you, all I need is a second chance."

I bit my lip harder, a few fresh tears rolling down my cheeks. I think all this crying was going to my head. My head was killing me, making me lightheaded. "I... I don't know what to do..." I said softly, my head telling my to tell him to f'uck off, my heart telling my to love him. I was torn.

Bill wiped the tears from her cheeks. "Please, Ani, I'm begging. I'll do anything. If I blow anything, if I do anything to make you unhappy, you can kick me out of your life, and I'll go, because I know I'm such an ass that I don't even deserve this.. but please."

Tom nodded quickly. "That's the only way I'd allow you to be hurt, even though I'm still fully against it."

I bit my lip, his words bringing more tears to my eyes. "You better not make me regret this.." I said, giving in.

She nodded quietly, watching him through the door, biting her lip.

Bill smiled, pulling her close against himself. "Thank you so much, Ani.. I promise I won't ever let you down again." he whispered into her hair.

Tom leaned against the doorframe, looking to her. "I'm so sorry.." he murmured, looking to her sincerely.

Bill held her close in his arms.

Bill smiled, kissing her cheek gently.

I closed my eyes, trying to fight back the smile that wanted to show itself.

She presed her lips together, opening the door and scooting a little bit closer to him so she could rest her head on his shoulder.

Bill held her close against his chest, gently stroking her back.

Bill stayed there like that for a while, just treasuring her in his arms, so happy to have her back.

Bill gently kissed the top of her head, leaning back against the wall, sitting on her bed.

[ okay. here's the deal.. you've gone awol again. >.< rawr. And I had a really good idea for kiahnna and tom.. haven't thought of one for Ani and Bill... but here goes.

A month after Tom left, Kiahnna was diagnosed with leukemia. She didn't tell Tom because she didn't want him to worry about her, or to feel obligated to stay with her, because her confidence was already so low, seeing as she thought he didn't love her anymore. And I have three ways lined up that he finds out:
1) she tells him.

2) They're at a party, and she starts fighting with this other girl, and this girl starts pulling really hard on her hair, and her wig comes off (her hair fell out from chemotherapy, and it's only grown a centimeter since she finished treatment)

3) she goes into a relapse.
