Bleeding Apologies

The little orphan girl
With the dirt encrusted braids
The tattered rainbow dress
And a front tooth missing.
Where's your mommy
Where's your daddy
Where's the family you
Cry for at night?
The little orphan girl
Barefoot and walking on glass
Her big blue eyes and
Sparkling innocence.
Where's the home
Where's the love
Where's the man who's
Led you into his car?
The orphan little girl
With missing clumps of hair
Her big blue eyes empty
Little legs spread out wide
Pure innocence pooling red
Where's the little girl?
She's home with her Father
She's loved by all the angels
Mommy's in California
Daddy's in New York
And halfway around the world
She's burried six feet under.
With the dirt encrusted braids
The tattered rainbow dress
And a front tooth missing.
Where's your mommy
Where's your daddy
Where's the family you
Cry for at night?
The little orphan girl
Barefoot and walking on glass
Her big blue eyes and
Sparkling innocence.
Where's the home
Where's the love
Where's the man who's
Led you into his car?
The orphan little girl
With missing clumps of hair
Her big blue eyes empty
Little legs spread out wide
Pure innocence pooling red
Where's the little girl?
She's home with her Father
She's loved by all the angels
Mommy's in California
Daddy's in New York
And halfway around the world
She's burried six feet under.
