Name - Yuuki Watanabe
Age - 20
Bio/Family History - Yuuki was abandoned as a child. Her parents couldn't afford to take care of her any longer and had to put her in an orphanage. As she grew up, she was an intelligent young girl who usually kept to herself. No body has never adopted her yet, Yuuki never figured out why. But it didn't actually upset her. She enjoyed the orphanage, where she made very many friends. But after she turned 18 she went into the real world. She manages to live in her one-bedroom apartment just by working at a small daycare center. But after one night as she witnessed something she wished she didn't, she could no longer go back to her job. Or even her home. Now she was in witness protection with an unknown protector.
Likes/Dislikes - Yuuki adores children, wanting to have some of her own in the future. Though she isn't all that great with love. Anything peaceful, like waterfalls, rivers, thunder storms, and reading mystery novels are what she likes. Murderers, theifts, people who think their all that are things she cannot stand.
Other/Role - She witnessed someone being murdered.

Name - Shale Rance
Age - Looks-24 Real - Forgotten
Bio/Family History - He had forgotten much of his past so he had no idea how old he really is or if he has any family. He can control his lust for blood and his need to kill very easily and amoung other vampires, he is the image of tolerance. He worked at hospitals before, working with blood all over the place, and never lost his mind. After the doctor career ended he decided to look into a field to protect people. Now in the Witness protection program run by the government, he takes cases that seem like they need more than average protection - IE- Vampire cases.
Likes/Dislikes - Loves Peace and Quiet and hates loud and hyper people, He's very quiet but if you get to know him a bit, he'll open up, and always loves a good fight/chase.
Other/Role - The Protector Guy

((Okay, I will. Let's start off where Yuuki first goes into witness protection. So lets say she has to go to the office for the protection company, and she has to wait for her guard? And they have to go to a house hidden from the city and stuff? Or we can start where she first see's the crime.))

[Volan]

Shale sighed, getting up and out of his office in the Witness Protection agency. Some poor woman witnessed a murder that was defined committed to by a vampire. None of the human's in the Agency knew that, but Shale did. And what bothered him the most was that this woman's blood type wasn't normal as his assignment papers stated.

[Macabre!]

((I thought I was starting? xD))

Yuuki hesitantly opened the door to the Witness Protection agency. She was terribly nervous to be protected by a stranger. Than again she saw thankful that she was going to be safe, hopefully. Ever since she saw the murder she was always a bit jumpy, and constantly looking around in case someone was ready to pounce on her with a knife or something. Walking up to the main desk, with her luggage in hands (since she was going to be in witness protection until the vampire was caught). She explained that she was going to be leaving with her guard or something today.

With another sigh I walked into the armory and got the standard items a witness protector was supposed to have. Large combat knife, 9mm pistol which Shale made custom silver tiped bullet's for, and a few other things. One weapon Shale had to fight with the court to use was his Katana, which he strapped to his back. Swords are more effective against vampires than bullets.

He picked up his backpack with clothes etc in it and walked out into the waiting room to see a young woman standing with suitcases. "Hello," he called to her as he walked towards her.

Yuuki looked up at the man who spoke, and guessed right away that it was her guard. "Hi.." she said softly, standing up from the slightly comfortable chair. "I'm Yuuki.. which you probably already know that." she exclaimed, not feeling comfortable with this man. He had weapons all over him!

[Volan]

(( New chair is . . comfy ^.^ ))

Shale smiled and walked over to her large suitcase, lifting it with one hand to check the weight. Light, but wouldn't hamper a getaway he told himself as he nodded. "Alright, we can get going," he said, looking at the exit then back at Yuuki. "I'm Shale by the way, Shale Rance. No need to be as skittish now that I'm with you," he said reassuringly, putting on a friendly smile that didn't seem to match the weapons equipped to him.

Yuuki nodded slowly, not saying a word as she lifted up the rest of her luggage and followed Shale out the door. She was not looking forward to this at all. And she wasn't going to trust this man at all. Once they get to where ever they were going, she was going to keep away from him at all costs. After being a witness of something no one wanted to see, she was afraid to be around others; especially men.

Shale sighed. "Guess I expected she would be fully recovered," I said softly to myself, walking ahead of her. I stepped out the door and too a deep breath. Not one vampire in the surrounding area. I opened a door to a black sedan with tinted windows all around and waved Yuuki over. "Sit in the passenger seat while I put your luggage in the trunk," he said softly.

Yuuki nodded, following his exact intructions. She placed her bags on the ground, and opened the car door to sit in the passenger side. After she buckled up, she sat there like she was a doll. Not looking forward to this whole Witness Protection thing at all. It was going to be hell.

I placed Yuuki's bags into the trunk and sighed, looking at the hidden compartment in the trunk. If the car was stolen it was set to blow up the back half of the car. I don't like getting my things stolen. As I slid into the driver's seat I looked at Yuuki. She looked like she was in another world. "Hey, Yuuki. I don't know how I can get it across to you, but you will be safe now," I said, taking in a deep breath through my nose which I choked on. I cleared my throat absentmindly and looked to the road. Great. I had to take on a job to protect a woman with some serious good blood.

[Macabre!]

((Oh. I prefer third person. If that's okay? If it's out of your comfort zone then it's okay. ^^"))


Yuuki glanced at Shale through the corner of her eyes. "Okay." was her only soft reply, before looking back out the window. Her nails clenched against the seat, feeling rather uncomfortable around this stranger. She couldn't trust anyone. After all, what if this was the killer? Yuuki couldn't see the murderer's face. All she remembered was seeing the evil look in his eyes. Knowing that she was his next victim. "I don't trust you." she finally said, her voice flat out serious.

[Volan]

"I know," Shale said in a soft voice, keeping his eyes on the road. "But . . . I can tell you that . . . I've seen people in worse condition than you," he said, looking at Yuuki and then back to the road. "You just have to know that whatever you have gone through, I'm the one who deals with it now."

[Macabre!]

((Okay. I thought you were going to get upset. *whew*))


"Still. Your not the one he's after. He wants to kill me," Yuuki exclaimed, her voice ice cold, matching the look in her eyes. "I don't care if you do protect me. You'll still never earn my trust." And it was always hard to earn her trust. She's a very cautious person nowadays. No one was going to get into her life that easily. It took a long time.

[Volan]

(( It's very hard to get me mad/upset xP Plus, I'm eating Frosted Flakes ))

"Deal," Shale said, smiling as he stopped at a traffic light. "As long as you don't object from me protecting you, I'm fine. I once had a client who decided no one could protect him so he tried to kill himself . . . a lot of times. So, no suicide attempts please." Shale looked at her and made sure he didn't breath. He didn't need to anyway, but it made him look slightly weird.

[Macabre!]

((Ahaha. I haven't had Frosted Flakes in forever!))


"I have no reason to try and kill myself," Yuuki exclaimed, arms crossed. "There's way to much to live for. Even if someone's trying to kill me." she added, resting her head against the window. "There's just one thing: you can protect me. Just from a distance." and after that she went quick. She knew she was probably being a bit mean, after all this guy volunteered to help protect her. But how could she just trust him like that? A complete stranger? Hell, this guy could work with the killer.

[Volan]

(( ^.^ And now I got cookies ^.^ ))

Shale started laughing as he drove on. "I guess you trust me to protect you or else you wouldn't have much to live for without my protection," he said with a chuckle, still not breathing in the air inside the car. "From a distance? I'll see what I can do."

[Macabre!]

Yuuki scowled, her nails breaking a small hole into the leather seats of the sedan. "You know I never did have a say in who I wanted to protect me. I would've preferred a female over a male. God knows what you do at night or what you want to do." she exclaimed, a look of pure disgust. "So I don't trust you at all. Sure, your protecting me. I have to try and trust you. It's just not working out. Hell why don't we just call the agency and ask to give me a new guard? I don't like you already." she growled.

((Can we make them sorta like enemies in the beginning? ^^))

[Volan]

"Hey! I heard you poke holes in that leather! This car cost me some money you know," Shale said, starting to dislike this woman already. "And what's with the preference for a female guard?" He looked at Yuuki with a raised eyebrow as they stopped at yet another red traffic light. "Protecting a sexist," he muttered to himself, hoping Yuuki didn't hear it.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki shot a glare towards Shale, wanting to throw something at him. "I'm not a sexist!" she snapped. "I prefer a female because I can put more trust in them. There are some men out there I can put my full trust in. Your not one of them! Just by looking at you, I can't trust you because you look like a killer!" Boy did she want to smack this guy already.

[Volan]

That made Shale immediately go silent. He was looking at Yuuki when she said that but his face just lost all it's emotion and he turned it back to the road, waiting for the light to turn. "Thanks," he said softly. She hit a soft spot when she told him he looked like he was a killer. When the light change, he stomped on the petal and darted off onto the road quickly.

[Macabre!]

"Your welcome." Yuuki replied coldly, crossing her arms. She felt rather accomplished when she made him go silent. But she didn't care how he felt right now. He had already gotten her in a bad mood. Now he was just going to have to deal with it until the killer is caught.

[Volan]

Shale's face turned from an emotionless state to a big smile as he kept his foot pressed onto the car gas petal. He started whistling a little happy tune as he passed 120mph in the city streets. He was a witness protector, he couldn't get a ticket if he wanted to. "Oh, sharp right coming up," he said happily as the car kicked past 140mph.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki's lips twitched into a frown, her eyes shooting towards the speedometer. "Are you insane?" she asked, not liking how fast they were going. She felt like vomiting. She was deathly afraid of car accidents and was afraid that this is exactly what he was trying to do. "See?! You are a killer! Your trying to kill me!" she shrieked, wanting reach over and slam the breaks.

[Volan]

With a laugh, Shale switched his foot over to to break and start to skid sideways. By the time he hit the intersection, the car was pointing for the right turn and he slammed onto the gas again. "Come on, you should know you never make the driver of the car sad or angry," he said as he came up to another turn. This time he turned and skidded left and into a underground parking garage.

[Macabre!]

"Slow down!" Yuuki shouted, almost in tears. This is why she hated cars. Especially the people who drove them. Always so reckless, never caring about who is in the passenger side. After all, it ends up being the passenger who always dies in a car accident. Yuuki was trembling, almost hyperventilating in fear of her own death. In fact she already decided she rather get stabbed a million times then have her head smashed against a window.

[Volan]

Shale started driving down deeper into the underground parking lot, going around 40mph. Once he reached the bottom, he continued to sped towards the brick wall while he pressed a button on the dash board. The wall separated and he drove into a dark tunnel, lit by yellow hazard lights. "I'm quiet talented at driving fast in the city," he said in a matter of face tone. "This tunnel leads straight to an apartment building used by the protection agency."

[Macabre!]

Yuuki rolled her eyes, her body still tense against the seat. "Don't talk to me." she murmured, ticked off. No, not ticked off. She was furious. In fact she already wanted to come up with a devious plan for Shale. And the fact that they were staying in an apartment building made it even worse. She hated apartments, almost as much as she hated Shale.

[Volan]

"I own one of the luxury suites so that should make you feel a bit happier," Shale said, driving at a slow 20mph. After a minute he stopped at another wall and took out a phone with the wire connected to the car itself. He dialed a long number and when someone picked up, he said his name and Yuuki's name along with a series of around 30 number's. When he hung up, the wall opened up and he drove on through. "I think it's neat that you have to call the people inside before your let in."

[Macabre!]

Yuuki said nothing, wondering if she had to repeat herself about him not talking to her. Oh well, she was going to have to endure it until she couldn't take it any longer. Well, a luxurious apartment room sounded nice. As long as it was large enough to keep a distance from Shale.

[Volan]

"Oh, and judging by the description of your little incident, please don't go onto the balcony. It would be smart not to look out those large glass doors," Shale said as he parked into a reserved spot right next to the elevator. He turned off the car and stepped out, popping the trunk at the same time.

(( Wondering, are the vamps allowed to be in sunlight? ))

[Macabre!]

Yuuki frowned, stepping out of the car and slamming the door shut behind her. "So I can't even look outside?" she asked, a hint of sadness and anger in her voice. "How do you expect me to live without seeing the sun or moon?"

((Nope! Just to make it more suspicious. ^^))

[Volan]

Shale took out the luggage and started walking towards the elevator. "Sun, yes. Moon, no," he said as he stepped into the elevator. Again, there was another keypad of which he put in a different set of around 20 numbers. "Keypads on every elevator and door in the building," he explained, hoping Yuuki wasn't going to get curious about why she could go out when the sun was out, but not the moon.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki blinked, No moon? She enjoyed the moon light.. It upset her even more to know that she could only see the blinding light of the sun. "I don't care about keypads. Why can I see the sun and not the moon?" she asked, fists clenched by her sides.

[Volan]

God Shale loved it when his clients didn't question him. "Because it's more probably that you would get attacked at night rather than in brood daylight. If you were going to attack someone, would you do it with the sun shining or attack someone in the dark of night?" That little speech was for those who did question what was wrong, but he had a feeling it wouldn't be enough info for Yuuki. The elevator ding'ed at the top floor and opened up to a hallway with one door, right in front of the elevator.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki rolled her eyes, "People kill others in the day light all the time. It depends on the person." she exclaimed, waiting for Shale to lead the way out of the elevator. "I already wish I never came into witness protection." she sighed, running her fingers through her long blond hair.

[Volan]

"If you didn't, I would give you about another week until your little attacker did you in," Shale said as he stepped out and typed the combo into the door. He pulled open the door, which was about ten inches thick of steel and walked inside, waving for Yuuki to come inside as well. "I was the one who asked for the special made door."

[Macabre!]

Yuuki glared at Shale as she entered the room. "I don't care what you did. I could care less." she exclaimed, looking around the rather nice apartment. "Where do I sleep?" she asked, wanting to just go in her room, lock the door and have time to herself.

[Volan]

"Right over there in the master bedroom," Shale said, leaving the luggage in the living room. He closed the door and moved over to the kitchen. "Even though it's almost morning, want anything to eat?" he asked, opening the fridge in the kitchen.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki thought for a second, walking into the kitchen with Shale. "Yes. But I think I'll make whatever there is myself." she murmured, trying to look into the fridge but Shale was a bit to tall.

[Volan]

Shale laughed and almost moved away to let Yuuki look into the fridge until he noticed the arrangement of blood bottles. He forgot to move the bottles into his locked fridge under the cabinet. "Uhhh . . . Actually, Let's just get some cereal," he said quickly slaming the fridge close.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki blinked, stepping back. "I don't like cereal." she exclaimed, finding Shale's actions a bit suspicious. "Can I at least get a drink?" she asked, moving to open the fridge.

[Volan]

"Yea! Water! That's all I got besides beer. And your not 21 so no beer for you," Shale said, leaning against the fridge so she couldn't open it. "The sink water is filtered, way better than spring water," he continued, trying not to look nervous.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki crossed her arms, clearly not believing Shale. "I feel like your lying," she exclaimed. She knew he was lying. "Why don't you tell the truth?"

[Volan]

"Really, that's all I've got," Shale said again, smiling and keeping the door closed. The fridge was a double door on top with a freezer on the bottom like a pull out drawer. He was hoping he didn't have any frozen blood packets in the freezer, which Yuuki could open in the position he was in.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki raised an eyebrow, a slight smile tugging at her lips. "You are such a bad liar!" she exclaimed, gripping Shale's shirt. "I bet there's something in that fridge you don't want me to see.." she murmured, reaching behind Shale to open the fridge.

[Volan]

Shale started to panic. If she saw the blood bottles, she would go nuts. He had to come up with something, anything so she wouldn't open the door . . . even if it made her think even less of him.

"Playboy!" he yelled out, leaning against the fridge, sorta relaxed. "I keep my 'magazines in there," he explained, smiling a weird smile.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki pulled back, reaching out and smacking Shale across the face. "You pervert!" she exclaimed, believing him this time. "Stay away from me." she hissed, kicking Shale's shin for the heck of it before taking her luggage and going into her room. "I'm not hungry anymore!" she yelled out, although she was starved.

[Volan]

"Oh come on! It's not that bad," he tried to reason until he kicked him in the chin. He sighed once Yuuki was inside the master bedroom and slumped up against the fridge, letting his head fall down, taking a deep breath. Mistake number two, he took a deep breath. He almost ripped off the fridge door as he took a clear glass bottle of blood. He popped the lid and chugged the whole bottle quickly. He licked his lips, running his touge over his fangs, and closed the fridge door. Turning on the sink water, he cleaned the bottle till it looked like it held beer instead of blood.

Living with this woman was going to be harder than he thought.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki changed into her lavender colored night gown, and curled under the covers. "What a perv.. I should stay awake just in case he tries something.." she murmured, trailing off. Her eyes slowly closing, as she finally dozed into a deep sleep.

[Volan]

With another sigh, Shale checked on Yuuki, making sure not to breath again. He closed the door and locked down the apartment so Yuuki couldn't leave if she woke up during sunlight hours. There was a special room just for him to sleep in that had no windows at all along with a light tight door. Even if it was opened when the sun was out, it wouldn't get inside. There was a couch and a small bed in this room and he just settled for the couch. In a few seconds, he fell asleep.

An hour later, he woke up with a feeling he forgot something. He checked the time to see there was an hour before sunrise so he got up and walked into the kitchen, trying to think. Then he remebered what he had to do.

Slowly, he started taking out the glass blood bottles from the large fridge and into the fridge with a master lock on it.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki found it rather hard to fall asleep, being in a new place and all. She crawled out of bed, heading out into the living room. "Boy am I hungry.." she mumbled, rubbing her tired eyes as she headed into the kitchen. She hadn't noticed Shale yet. She was to tired to even care.

[Volan]

Shale didn't notice Yuuki until she stepped behind him, the light from the fridge lighting up the whole kitchen. He turned around in his sleepy haze, the last two blood bottles in his hands, and looked over to Yuuki with a raised eyebrow. "Fridge is clean of playboy," he said in a sleepy voice as he bent down to put the last two bottles into the small fridge. He locked it and put the key around his neck, in a real daze.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki pouted her lips, opening up the fridge. "That's good. Perv." she murmured, covering her mouth to let out a long yawn. "Do you know what time it is?" she asked, shutting the fridge and stumbling back a bit. She walked over, her eyes blurring a bit and she lost balance causing her to trip right over Shale.

[Volan]

"Hour before dawn," Shale mumbled. He felt Yuuki start to fall so he spun around in his sleepy haze and caught her before she fell and brung her back to her feet. "No falling and . . . good night," he said with a yawn as he went back into his light tight room. He fell onto the couch again and fell asleep quickly, looking like a dead corpse without breathing.

[Macabre!]

"Whateverrrr." Yuuki mumbled, carefully heading back into her room. She hardly took the time to understand why she was so tired yet she couldn't fall asleep. After shutting her door, she collapsed onto the bed and fell right asleep.

Shale mumbled a few random things in his sleep until he rolled off the couch and fell to the floor with a Thud. "Ouch," he said softly, trying to find his clock from underneath the coffee table.

Yuuki was still sound asleep, sprawled out on her bed like she was a dead animal. She looked peaceful, her hair everywhere. She almost looked dead, but she was still breathing.

[Volan]

(( Sure ^.^ ))

With a sigh, Shale rolled out from under the coffee table and looked at the clock. "Great, sun's still out," he mumbled as he stood up and started walking for the door. He peeked his head into the living room to check if the blinds on the large windows to the balcony were still drawn as he made his way out to the kitchen. "Her dam smell is going to be all over this place," he said with a sigh, unlocking his blood mini fridge. He took out one bottle and locked the fridge back up, putting the key back on his neck.

With a mumble, he made his way back to his dark room, bottle in hand before he stubbed his toe on a cabinet. "Dam!" he yelled a bit too loud, looking cautiously to Yuuki's bedroom.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki curled up, her feet twitching slightly as she dreamed with a smile on her face. "S-shale.. wait.." she murmured, letting out a soft giggle. "T-that tickles.." she suddenly woke up, screaming. She cringed, remembering her dream clearly. "Ew. Not the perv." she pouted her lips. What a horrible dream, she thought. It just had to be the pervert she scowled, stretching her arms out and laying back on the bed.

[Volan]

Either Shale was hearing things or this was real but he could have swore he heard Yuuki giggle. He was about to say something until he remembered the bottle of blood in his hand so he hurried into his dark room again before Yuuki could come out.

[Macabre!]

After a few moments of debating what to do, she headed out into the living room. Shivering a bit since it was not as warm as it was in her room. She headed towards the fridge, hoping to find some eggs to make for breakfast.

[Volan]

Shale sighed and sat on the edge of his couch in the dark, drinking the cold bottled blood. "So lucky . . . . " he whispered to himself, taking another swig of blood. Even though this woman was slightly annoying, he wasn't going to let a vampire attack her, ever. "Lucky to have a beating heart," he said softly, kicking the coffee table a little too hard.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki smiled, finding a carton of eggs. After finding a few more ingredients, and a pan she began to make eggs. She didn't care if Shale was awake or not. He could make his own food. A few minutes later, she inhaled the delicious smell of scrambled eggs and poured them onto a plate before plopping onto the couch and eating.

[Volan]

With a sigh, Shale left his empty blood bottle on the ground next to the couch, remembering to clean it up later. He walked out into the living room and looked at the plate of food Yuuki was eating. "Guess you made none for me?" he asked, but he really couldn't eat anything but blood.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki glanced over at Shale, shaking her head. "No." she answered flatly, finishing up the eggs on her plate. "I'm sure if you wanted some you'd make it yourself." she exclaimed with a smile.

[Volan]

"Yea, well. I'm hardly ever hungry so I don't eat much," Shale said, walking over to a chair and collapsing into it. "We go food shopping at seven," he said before he relaxed a bit into the chair. Again, he wasn't breathing. He couldn't take the chance to around Yuuki.

[Macabre!]

"Food shopping?" Yuuki asked, throwing the paper plate and plastic fork in the trash. "Aren't I supposed to be in total confinement? Away from the world?" she asked, leaning against the counter with her arms crossed.

[Volan]

Shale didn't move from his chair as he spoke. "Well, yea I guess so. I was considering it because I don't think you would want to be in the apartment alone," he said, emphasizing on the alone part.

[Macabre!]

"Really?" Yuuki hid a smile behind the hand that trailed across her lips. "I wouldn't mind staying in here for awhile. Alone." she exclaimed casually.

[Volan]

"I thought you would say that," Shale said with a sigh, looking at Yuuki with a blank look. "But I'm keeping the window's locked shut by code," he added.

[Macabre!]

"Yeah. I don't care," Yuuki exclaimed, unable to remove the smile form her lips. "If I get an hour or so away from you it'll be the happiest day in my life." she snickered, flicking a piece of blond hair behind her ear.

[Volan]

"Well, you still got about 5 hours to go till I'm leaving," Shale said with a chuckle. "So your stuck with me till then. Let's see what's on TV," he said as he picked up the remote and turned it on. The moment the TV turned on, Shale switched the channel so quick it was hardly noticeable, hardly. "Ohh, what channel is the news on," he wondered aloud.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki shrugged, "I'll just have to endure it." she mumbled, heading back to her room. "I'm taking a shower. Don't bother me, perv." she called out, shutting the door behind her. That was Shale's new nick name. Pervert. And he shall be called that until he no longer has to protect her.

"Hey! I cleaned out the fridge of 'magazines' for you!" Shale yelled back. Once he heard the shower running, he hit the 'last' button on the remote and the playboy channel came on. He sighed. "Hugh, how do you have so many girls?" he asked the TV which was showing him giving a tour of the mansion. With a sigh, he turned off the TV and headed for the phone to check the progress of the search.

Yuuki rolled her eyes, "And you still have them! That makes you a pervert!" she retorted. Pulling out a pair of jeans and a black corset designed shirt, with had silver dragons tracing up the sides. She then headed into the bathroom, taking a warm shower for 15 minutes before she dried off, got dressed and headed into the living room again.

Shale couldn't help but sigh. Guess he should label his mini fridge
'Magazines'. As Yuuki came back into the living room, Shale was hanging up the phone. "I'm not going to comment," he said after looking at Yuuki's outfit and turning away to the kitchen to get a glass of water. "Make a list of the things you want at the store and I'll get em, k?"

Yuuki scowled, glancing down at her outfit. "Is there something wrong with the way I look?" she asked. Honestly, her outfit wasn't revealing at all. Despite it having a corset type look, it had sleeves. Okay.. maybe just one inch of cloth around her shoulders. It still wasn't revealing or maybe Shale was just being a jerk! "I need a stupid piece of paper, and pen. Dumb perv." she exclaimed, walking into the kitchen.

"Paper is right in here," Shale said as he put down his glass of water and opened a draw he thought had the paper etc inside it. "Oh yea, I reorganized the drawers last week," he said softly as he looked at a neat collection of pure silver handcuffs and silver chains coiled around a spool. There was also a pair of leather gloves to the side so he could touch them without getting hurt.

"Alright . . . it's . . . this draw," he said, opening another one, this one with paper and pens. Thank god that wasn't the one with the real magazines in it he thought.

Yuuki pushed Shale aside, taking a pen and a piece of paper. "So are you going to tell me why you said 'I'm not going to comment'?" she asked, leaning against the counter as she began to write a list of things she wanted. Strawberry milk, powdered donuts, oreo cookies, T-bone steaks, things like that.

"Nope," Shale said with a smile as he closed his handcuff drawer. "Leave the list on counter. I'm going to take a nap," he said as he slowly walked to his room. He would have to make an excuse if Yuuki wanted anthing with garlic in it, but that wasn't a big problem, right?

"Aw, please?!" Yuuki asked, following Shale. "And why take a nap?! You just woke up!" she exclaimed, determined to find out what Shale meant.

"I'm not saying anything," Shale said, opening his door to his pitch black room. "And I didn't get a full 8 hour sleep, so a nap should be good," he said with a smile and shut the door. He had been meaning to get a lock for it, but sadly, he forgot to get one every time he went out.

"Your such a jerk!" Yuuki exclaimed, angrily kicking the door before heading back to finish up the grocery list. She knew Shale would be surprised at all the things Yuuki wanted.

Shale sighed and looked into his room, no lights at all, and he could see perfectly fine. "Wonder what Yuuki would think if she knew there were no lights in here," he wondered to himself as he moved to the couch. His nap wasn't going to last long, about an hour, but it was a nap none the less.

Yuuki soon finished the grocery list, and headed down to the couch to lay down. She suddenly wished she had someone or something to cuddle with. "Ahh. What the hell?!" she murmured, seeing a playboy channel on the television. Right away she changed it, deciding it'd be a good time to see what's on the news.

Shale turned and tossed in his sleep, dreaming of a dream, beginning to go bad. It was a dream where he found Yuuki's attacker and he brutally ripped off the mans head, right in front of her. When he turned around, she was scared, terrified. He knew whatever trust she had for him vanished. With a sigh, Shale moved to the balcony and jumped off. He awoke right before he hit the ground, jumping right off the couch and onto the floor.

Yuuki stared blankly at the news, hearing about the killer and blah blah blah. Apparently he's still on the run, not killing anyone in particular. She cringed with the news caster added "Yet" to the end of his sentence. "Stupid news.. stupid killer.. stupid me for going out so late." she murmured, shutting off the television to find something to snack on.

Shale sighed and sat up from the floor in his room, moving to the door. "It' always ends up the same," he muttered, walking out into the kitchen as he looked at the food list. "Always ends up the same . . . rejected, alienated, feared," he muttered on, a sorrowful look to his face. "This all you want?" he asked, picking up the car keys.

Yuuki watched Shale leave, and suddenly a twisted grin curled upon her lips. "You should've never said that." she snickered, casually heading towards Shale's room. "If you didn't say it. I wouldn't be doing this to piss you off." she murmured, creeping closer and closer to the door just to build up her own suspense.

Shale sighed as he walked out of the elevator and into his car, driving out quickly out of the place and in a minute, he was already out on the street. "Even if she goes into that room, she won't notice anything suspicious besides there being no lights," he told himself as he parked outside the shopping center. "No blood bottles . . . I think," he muttered on as he went inside.

Yuuki walked into Shale's room. "Eh? No windows? No lights.. what in the world?" she murmured, wondering if she should even bother to look around. "He is a freak. I knew I shouldn't trust him. He probably has all these freaky weapons.. maybe even dead bodies." she stopped, a disgusted look on her face. And just like that she walked out of his room, shutting it. It wasn't even worth looking around. Unless their was a flashlight, but Yuuki wasn't all that pressed about seeing what Shale was hiding.

Shale sighed as he leaned against his shopping carriage lazily, crossing off Garlic bread nicely. He continued and sighed when he went to buy all the stuff. "Can't these people move any faster," he muttered, thinking back to Yuuki. "She wouldn't try to break open my mini fridge, would she?" he wondered, not seeing any reason why she would.

Yuuki walked back into the kitchen to take another sip of her kool-aid before heading into the living room. "Ahhh. There's nothing to do around here!" she complained loudly, suddenly not liking how she was alone. "I should've went. Mannn." she snuggled against the pillows on the couch, shutting her eyes and forcing herself into sleep.

Shale was almost feel asleep from boredom in the car as he was driving back. He entered a different parking garage and was soon parked in the same spot he was before. He loaded the elevator with all the food and hit the floor number with a sigh. "I can bet myself a million dollars that she went into my room," he mumbled.

Yuuki continued sleeping, murmuring things under her breath. She snuggled more into the pillow, nuzzling it slightly as her legs curled behind her.

Shale sighed as he opened the door to the room and left it open as he started to take in the bags of food. He closed the door when all the food was inside and looked around to find Yuuki sleeping on the couch. He walked over to her and stood over her, and took a accidental breath. "Sh!t," he muttered softly, smelling Yuuki's blood as strong as ever. He clenched his jaw and started to move to the kitchen. One sniff, and he's hungry as hell.

Yuuki turned over, one arm hanging off the couch while the rest of her body laid sprawled out on the couch. She dreamed peacefully, about her and a guy deep in love. But the face of the man was shadowed. In her dream she was so happy with him yet he was a complete stranger. "Hnn.. what's your name?" she murmured in her sleep, a faint smile tugging at her lips. "Shale? Wow what a corny name." she giggled under her breath, sleeping peacefully still.

Shale walked over to his mini fridge when he heard what Yuuki said, and he gritted his teeth again. "Don't . . . don't lose it," he muttered to himself, his arms and hands shaking with restraint. He opened the cabinet and his hand was shaking too much for him to get the key into the hole. "Dammit," he muttered.

((Wanna make a really intense moment? Shale is already loosing it and he could come close to taking some of Yuuki's blood. But she wakes up to see him near her face and she flips out? xD))

Yuuki squeezed the pillow tightly, her body on the edge of falling off the couch. "Neh.. sorry.. Shale? You should change your name.." she mumbled, her tongue licking her lips even in her sleep.

Shale's shaking hand finally got the key into the lock, but when he turned it, it broke inside the keyhole. In that moment, he just froze and stared at the lock. He bought the lock specially to keep vampires out, and here he was, unable to get what he needed most. "I'm so screwed," he muttered, hearing Yuuki again. "Dammit!" he muttered under his breath again, but he found himself walking towards Yuuki.

Yuuki stretched out, now laying on her back. Her neck fully exposed. There was no longer any words coming out of her mouth, just air from her nose.

Shale was breathing through clenched teeth, smelling the blood flowing in Yuuki's vains as he looked down at her. "May . . . maybe she won't notice," he whispered to himself as he went onto one knee in front of her. He licked his lips, running his tongue over his now elongated fangs. He stared right at her neck, taking in another breath through his nose.

Yuuki moved slightly, squeezing her eyes shut. She was about to wake up, but she didn't want too. Moments past, she was awake, but her eyes were closed. Not noticing what was around her though. In her mind it was still peaceful, and Shale was still at the grocery store.

Shale's mouth hung open, his fangs completely out as he stared at Yuuki's neck. He licked his lips again, looking up to Yuuki's face before looking back at her neck. Just one little bite won't hurt he thought.

Yuuki's eyes suddenly flew open, feeling warm breath against her neck. "Shale?" she asked, her face flushed slightly. "What are you doing you pervert?!" she snapped, pushing Shale away quickly.

[Volan]

Shale quickly shut his mouth and fell back onto the coffee table in the room. He sat up from the coffee table and looked at Yuuki and almost jumped her, almost! But insdead, he willed himself to moved away from her. he started to stumble over to his room, his whole body shaking from the hunger he felt. "Food. On counter," he managed to say as he stumbled over to his room.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki sat up, hiding her fear with a glare. "Yeah. You stay in there! I want a new guard!" she exclaimed, heading back into the kitchen to make herself a glass of strawberry milk.

[Volan]

Shale opened the door to his room and slammed it shut and going straight for the coffee table. He kicked it in half and threw the two pieces against the door. With one shove, he pushed the whole couch in front of the door and laid on his bed. "Dammit," he muttered softly. She didn't see the Fangs, she didn't see the Fangs he tried to keep reminding himself.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki leaned against the counter, staring at the ceiling in thought as she took occasional sips of the milk. She was still puzzled about what Shale was trying to do. Kiss her neck? Kill her? "Ughh. I should've never came into witness protection." she murmured, rubbing her hand across her forehead.

[Volan]

Shale grit his teeth and punched right through the cement wall right in front of him, which just happened to be just outside the kitchen. "Dammit!," he yelled as he shoved a pillow into the hole in the wall. He was going to go crazy if he didn't get something to eat.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki choked on her strawberry milk, seeing the new hole in the wall. "Shale?" she asked, slightly worried. He sure was pissed about something. "Are you okay?" she asked, hesitantly peeking through the hole in the wall. She felt like she needed to run, but she couldn't. There was no where to go!

[Volan]

"No! I'm not alright!" Shale yelled, trying to find something to squeeze or rip or bend or something! He looked at his hand and just bit into it without a care in the world. It hardly hurt, and his own blood didn't solve anything.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki flinched at his words, her eyes wide in fear. "What is wrong?!" she asked, looking around. Wasn't there a phone, or anything?! She knew she shouldn't be around Shale. In her mind, he was completely psycho.

[Volan]

Shale couldn't think of anything but his mini fridge and Yuuki's blood. He forced himself to calm down and decided to ask Yuuki for something that would probably be a bad idea later on. "Yuuki?" he said in a softer voice through the whole in the wall. "Can you do something for me?"

[Macabre!]

"Yeah, of course." Yuuki answered, cringing at the kindness that escaped her lips. Well, she had to stay on his good side just in case he did want to kill her. Or maybe she was to fetch a knife, give it to him and then she'd die. Hopefully that wasn't the case. "What do you need?"

[Volan]

"Get the handcuffs in the drawers in the kitchen," Shale said, biting into his hand again with a grunt. Pain, good feeling to wash over hunger. "Give them to me and try to get the mini fridge open," he added, hoping she could get the fridge open. "Get it open by any means." He groaned again and bit into his arm.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki nodded slowly, getting exactly what she was told to get. Still she had a bad idea about this. She walked back to the hole in the wall, putting her hand through it which held the handcuffs. "There." she exclaimed, dropping the handcuffs. Turning on her heels, she headed to the miniature fridge, getting onto her knees to see what as wrong with the fridge.

[Volan]

Shale grabbed the silver handcuffs but dropped them right away after they burned his skin. With a deep breath, he picked up the cuffs and got them around one wrist and quickly got the other on in gritting pain. The silver burned his wrists, leaving black marks around his wrists. "I hope she can get that open," he said softly, wincing at his own pain.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki frowned, struggling to get the fridge open. She stood up, and began to slam her foot into the side of it, not worrying about the pain as of the moment. Most likely she'd either break skin or break a bone. "Why.Wont.It.Open?!" she grunted, gripping the side of the door on the fridge to try to pull it open. This was to much. She wasn't strong at all, not one bit in fact.

[Volan]

Shale winced more and more as the silver handcuffs drained his strength, but at a very very slow pace. "It's built like a safe!" he called out through the whole. "I broke the key inside the keyhole. Try to take the key out and pick the lock." Why did he have to get a dumb safe fridge?

[Macabre!]

Yuuki scowled, yanking a bobby pin from her hair. Usually these things worked, hopefully it'd work this time. Before she began to try to take the key out, she froze. Why was she opening this fridge? Wasn't there just magazine's in it? "Why am I opening this fridge?!" she asked, glancing towards the hole in the wall. Now she was curious.

[Volan]

Shale couldn't help but laugh with his now horse voice. "If you get it open, you find out. Can't believe you thought I kept magazines inside a fridge," he added, taking a deep breath from the air coming from the hole. "By the way, you smell good!" he yelled, starting to lose his will to hold off.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki frowned, officially thinking Shale was crazy. "Uh.. thanks.." she murmured, silently trying to get the broken key out of the lock. "I can't get it!" she exclaimed, finally figuring out that a bobby pin would not work in this situation.

All of a sudden, Shale couldn't stop laughing. "Magazines! Ha!" he yelled, rolling his mattress to the floor. "Ready or not here I come!" he yelled as he tried to get around the couch he shoved in front of the door.

Yuuki stiffened, "He is a killer." she whispered, eyes wide. She quickly stood up, completely panicked. Looking around frantically, there was nowhere to go. All she could do was hide. "Crap.. where?!" she whispered, biting her thumb nervously as she searched for a decent place to hide.

[Volan]

Shale walked back a bit before he charged at the door, easily breaking it open. "I see you!," he said, a smile spread across his face, a fang poking out. His hands were still handcuffed in front of him but he ran after her with clear insanity in his eyes.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki turned towards Shale, looking like a deer in headlights. "S-stay away!" she shrieked, looking around frantically. Suddenly she darted away from Shale, into the kitchen to find a knife to defend herself. I guess he is my killer.. he's pretty damn smart to find me so easily she thought, still convinced that Shale was the killer after her.

[Volan]

"Why would I do that?" Shale asked as he walked slowly into the kitchen. "What's wrong," he asked with a tilted head, walking towards her slowly. "Hey, do you think you can get these off? They hurt," he said, holding up his wrists which were blackened from the silver.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki turned around, facing the psycho once more, her back pressed against the counter. "No." she answered, fists clenching the edges of the counter. "You can keep those on.." she trailed off, noticing his blackened wrists. What in the world.. she wondered, looking up at Shale's face.

[Volan]

"Oh well," Shale said with a shrug, then smiled brightly like he won a prize. "Snack time," he said happily and smiled, all fangs. He suddenly moved right in front of Yuuki, arms around her in a grip she couldn't break with the handcuffs on. He pulled her close and kissed Yuuki's neck softly. "No wonder that guy would come after you," he muttered, kissing her neck again.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki stiffened, her body frozen. "W-what are you.." she trailed off, unable to speak. Her emerald green eyes were wide as he kissed her neck. "Get off!" she suddenly screamed, moving her head away from Shale. She was trapped, with his handcuffed wrists around her. Unless she ducked, which sounded like a good idea but it seemed impossible. Was this the end?

[Volan]

"Should have got rid of the handcuffs," Shale said softly, running his tongue over his fangs. He kissed her neck one more time and bit down softly, sucking on her neck softly at first and then hungrily. What Shale didn't notice was the drawer right next to him was open with the silver chains sitting in it.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki gasped at the sudden pain in her neck, her eyes going as wide as they would go. "Vampire.." she whispered, looking around frantically. She gripped one hand on Shale's arm, digging her nails into his skin. "Get.. off.." she murmured, her shaky hands unable to open the drawer next to her. She felt weaker by the second, but she didn't want to give up. She couldn't fight him back, but she could definitely fight for her life.

[Volan]

Shale was in heaven, absolute bliss. The blood, warm for a change, was gliding down his throat smoothly. The taste, was too sweet to imagine. He kept drinking, but slowly he started to lose his insanity. Only, the insanity was morphing into lustful hunger. He pulled back just to see Yuuki's face, terrified at the blood on his lips. "My . . . very sweet," he said softly, smiling at Yuuki.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki shuddered, unable to move her body. She looked at Shale, wanting to faint at the sight of her own blood. "I.. s.. g-go away.." she murmured weakly, her legs growing slightly weak. A vampire.. he bit me.. and I'm so weak.. why couldn't I fight back? Yuuki wondered, angry at herself and Shale both.

[Volan]

Shale took a deep breath and licked his lips, happily picking and spinning Yuuki around. "Oh, I'm not going away," he said, licking at the two puncture marks on her neck. "Now, shall I save you for later? Or just finish you up right now?" he asked, stopping his spinning with her right next to the silver drawer.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki began to cry, her body trembling against Shale. "D-don't kill me.." she pleaded softly, her eyes averting back towards the drawer where she had gotten the hand cuffs from. I just.. need to get the strength to open it.. there has to be some sort of weapon in there.. she thought, her left hand prying at the drawer, slowly tugging it open.

[Volan]

"Hmmm, I guess that means 'Save thou for later," he said smugly, smiling at his acting. "Isn't it funny. Your stuck with me, trapped in this room, so you don't get attacked by that vampire who you witnessed kill someone," he said, the blood making him feel like he just took a load of cocaine or something to get him insanely high. "And I get to keep you all for myself," he said, kissing Yuuki's neck again.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki closed her eyes, searching for something in the drawer. "Bastard.." she hissed under her breath, reopening her angry green eyes. "No.. your a pervert! You stupid vampire! Get off!" she was proud to have her voice back, feeling more superior with the silver switchblade in her hand. She gripped the switchblade tightly, flicking it slightly so the shiny blade shone. "Get. off." she repeated, holding the knife against Shale's neck.

[Volan]

Shale's face paled as he felt the silver blade touch his neck, and swallowed. "Well . . . ummm . . . you think we could, uhh, make a deal here?" he asked, not liking the knife at his throat. He wasn't himself, and he felt that but Yuuki's blood made him go a little nuts and it was starting to wear off. "A deal, right? No stabbing and such," he said softly, smiling a little.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki gave him a cold stare, still surrounded by tears. "Fine, but if you bite me again. I'll tear your throat out." she threatened softly, closing the blade and keeping it close to her side. It would be a useful weapon for awhile. "Now let go of me.." she murmured, placing a hand over her neck.

[Volan]

Shale lifted his arms over Yuuki and started to move back. Now that all Shale's mind was back in one piece, he felt beyond guilty. "Dam," he said softly, finally realizing what he had done. "Should I go back to my room and sulk?" he asked, trying to break the chains on the handcuffs with a kitchen knife he grabbed.

[Macabre!]

"I don't care what you do, just stay away from me." Yuuki exclaimed, swaying off to her room. She was still weak at the blood loss, but she would survive. Walking into her room, she shut the door behind her and locked it. Placing the switchblade on the night stand before she headed into her own bathroom to change into something more relaxing, a pair of short gym shorts and a long sleeved shirt. "I can't believe vampires exist.." she whispered, collapsing onto her bed. She clenched her fists into the pillow, squeezing her watering eyes. "Shale.. why did I have such sweet dreams about you? But in reality your just a monster.." she whispered, crying softly. She declared that she would not leave her room. Even if she was starving.

[Volan]

Shale finally got the key to the handcuffs and unlocked him when he heard the sound of Yuuki's crying. He quietly looked at all the food still on the counter and started taking it to the door Yuuki's door. He put all the bags right in front of the door and sat against the wall, listening to her sobs. "Hey, can you do something once the killer is caught?" he said just loud enough to go through the door. "Could you kill me?" he asked, looking solumingly at the floor. "I've . . . gone through too much so, could you kill me when this is all done?" he asked again.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki wiped her eyes, sitting up from the bed. "I'm not going to kill you." she exclaimed, moving cautiously towards the door. "I-I don't hate you either.. it's just.. You know.. you would've been better off when you told me the truth in the first place. Thought I probably wouldn't of believed you but.. I would've trusted you more." she added, resting her forehead against the door. "Hell, if you don't want to be around me why don't we get a new guard arranged? We'd both like that right?" she asked, sniffling.

((I have an idea, it doesn't matter when we do it but.. maybe the guard does get switched? It'd be better if we saved it when the two start falling in love. But Shale could tell Yuuki out of the blue that she needs a new guard because he can't be around her anymore. Y'know. Just for the drama. ^^))

[Volan]

"Your saying you would have trusted me more if I told you I was a vampire and another vampire was after you. That kinda sounds weird," he said, grabbing an apple out of a food bag. "I never said I didn't want to be around you, it's just . . . well . . . your blood is quite enticing. No know blood type," he said softly. "But you do know why I took this job, right? A human against a vampire isn't . . . a fair fight." With a sigh, Shale balanced the apple on his fingertip.

[Macabre!]

"I didn't know it was a vampire after me.. I didn't believed they existed, of course until you decided to go nuts and almost suck me dry." Yuuki exclaimed, wiping her eyes. "But.. apparently you can't be controlled around me. If my blood makes you crazy.. am I the only thing you can feed off of around here?" Yuuki asked, rubbing the two pin point marks on her neck. She laid down, her back against the door as she curled into a ball.


((That's too soon though. Hmm.. Unless we change the idea around a bit. Maybe there's a sudden knock at the door and it's another guard, explaining that Shale had to go back to the Agency for important matters and for the time being he would be protecting Yuuki. And this guy ends up not being a real guard, but has a I.D that Shale falls for. So, Shale falls into a trap and gets caught by the Government. And something could be suspicious about Yuuki's new guard. ^^))

[Volan]

"Well, there's about two dozen bottles of type O- blood inside that mini fridge but that seems to be locked for good," Shale said, throwing the apple into the air and letting it hit his head, put instead of falling off his head, it stayed there.

(( I like that one ^.^ But, how would Yuuki find out Shale was caught? ))

[Macabre!]

"How often do you get hungry?" Yuuki asked curiously, twirling a strand of long blond hair between her long skinny, fingers. It actually felt quite nice talking like this, much more comforting when there was a door between her and the man who just attacked her.

((She can over hear her new guard talking on the phone about it. ^^))

[Volan]

"How often do you get hungry?" Shale asked Yuuki in return. "Mostly one bottle for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If your not a vegetarian, that is, vampires that don't drink from humans, then it's usally one person per day," he explained, his hand searching a bag for something else to fiddle with. "Just so you know, I don't check with the police to see if the vampire is caught. I check with the cities vampire counsel. And don't think I'm a big shot because I'm not. Three hundred years makes you a teenager in the mind of the counsel."

(( KK, let's go wit that ^.^ ))

[Macabre!]

"Oohh.." Yuuki trailed off, listening to what else Shale had to say. "Okay, I don't really mind.." she sighed, closing her eyes. "It feels horrible to know that someone is trying to kill you. I wish I could never die."

((Ah. I'm sleepy. Hanging out with a few friends tomorrow so I need my rest. Good night! ^o^/ ))

[Volan]

"Hey, your forgetting the big ole stake," Shale said, pounding his chest hard enough for you to hear a hollow sound. "One right through the chest and burn baby burn," he said with a sigh. "It's not that bad you know, knowing someone wants to kill you. But, living forever is not something I plan on doing. I'm going to have to leave the job in this state soon too. I look 24 but the records here say I'm 40. This is my last job in this state."

Yuuki cringed at the hollow sound, her fists clenched. "But your not actually 40.. your a lot older than that right?" she asked, since she was a vampire and all. It felt so weird being around someone who was probably hundreds of years older than you. Knowing that they wouldn't age, but you would. It sucked. "It must be nice not to age.." she sighed.

[Volan]

"I lost my memory oh . . . 500 years ago so I really don't know how old I am," Shale said with a sigh. "It's kinda nice that I won't age, but it's only a matter of time before I have to go completely into hiding. There's a division in the US government that hunts vampire's you know. So if someone noticed I look exactly like I did 40 years ago, I'm screwed," he explained, taking the apple off his head. "I've heard stories about what happens to those vamps that get caught, none are very good. Torture for months before they decide to pop off the head and stake the heart." So, in truth, Shale was risking a hell of a lot to protect Yuuki.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki's eyes were wide at the story, but smiled softly. "Look's like we're protecting each other.. I'll help hide your secret, since you are technically saving my life." she exclaimed, finally deciding to unlock and open the door to look at Shale.

[Volan]

Shale raised an eyebrow and looked at Yuuki when she opened the door. "Apple?" he asked, balancing the apple on his finger again. He let a small smile creep onto his lips. "You aright now?" he asked, looking at the bite on her neck and then back to her face.

(( I'm blasting the new album I got ^.^ And I'm hyper from an energy drink ^.^ ))

[Macabre!]

Yuuki smiled, nodding slightly. "Yeah," she answered, taking the apple from Shale's hand. "I'm still a little dizzy, but I won't die.. and hopefully you still don't plan to finish me off later." she exclaimed, biting into the apple.

((Haha. Oh geez.))

[Volan]

"My whole mindset is now on not breathing," Shale said with a small smile. "You going to stay in there because all the food is right outside your room," he said, gesturing to the bags next to him against the wall. "Oh, and no garlic bread. Sorry about that."

Yuuki rolled her eyes playfully, bravely resting her head on Shale's shoulder. A clear sign she wasn't scared, but she was still cautious. "It's alright. I can live without it." she said, biting into her apple once more.

[Volan]

"Thanks," Shale said softly, letting his head rest on hers. "Thanks for accepting what I am," he said softly, suddenly very tired. "But, we still have the problem of the mini fridge," he said somewhat tired.

"Your welcome," Yuuki replied, taking another bite of the apple. "We'll eventually open the mini-fridge. Plus, your strong right? Can't you just pull it open?"

((Oh that sucks. T^T))

[Volan]

"I got that fridge so a vampire couldn't open it. The counsel says its mandatory but I'm going to have to get rid of it soon. The vampire hunters in the government are identifying vampires by there fridges now, which is kinda corney," Shale said with a sigh. "I'll have to go out every other night or so till I get a new shipment of bottles." He closed his eyes and listened closely to Yuuki's beating heart and content breaths. "Must be nice to have a beating heart," he said softly.

(( Yea, but it looks good ^.^ ))

[Macabre!]

"Oh," Yuuki placed the apple beside her, not wanting to finish it. "I guess so. But I rather not have one.. heart disease, heart attack.. heart failure.. I don't want that." she exclaimed, cringing at the thought of having one of those problems. "Wanna trade places?" she joked.

[Volan]

"Hey, don't joke like that," Shale said, lifting his head as he put a arm around Yuuki and pulled her closer. "After 500 years I would love to die from a heart attack," he said, looking down at Yuuki. "I could only imagine how another 500 would feel like. Lonely, bloody, surrounded by death."

Yuuki pouted childishly, flicking Shale's leg. "Sorry," she murmured, closing her eyes. "Don't talk like that." she sighed, knocking the apple onto the floor with her finger. "I think being stabbed would be easier.. less time to suffer depending on where your stabbed. A heart attack is like 40 seconds in hell. Probably. I mean I never had one.." she trailed off.

[Volan]

"Did I mention that I would burn up into a huge fire if I was stabbed? Lasts about a minute," Shale said with a smile. "Don't know what that feels because I wouldn't be here if it did happen." He sighed and patted Yuuki's head softly when he heard a ding of a doorbell. "Now who in the world could that be. Cover the bite with something while I go get the door, alright?" he asked, getting up while lending Yuuki a hand to get up.

[Macabre!]

"Still." Yuuki mumbled, nodding her head as she hurried back into her room. Searching through her bags, she was thankful to find foundation. She headed into the bathroom, dabbing a layer of foundation over the bite marks. Now it was hardly noticeable, and her long hair covered it.

[Volan]

As Shale walked towards the door, he closed the cabinet to the mini fridge and shut the silver weapon drawer, but stopped at the hole in the wall. Looking around quickly, he took a picture off one wall and shoved the nail into the concrete, hanging the picture over the whole. He went to the door and went to the intercom that spoke to the outside. "Who are you and state your business," he said calmly.

"I'm hear as temporary replacement for the woman Yuuki?" the man, just as tall as Shale was said. "I'm Aaron Chance, Witness protection," Aaron said, showing his ID to the video camera.

Shale got suspicious but opened the door anyway, raising an eyebrow at Aaron. "Why does she need a temp?" he asked as Aaron walked right into the apartment without even an invitation.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki walked out of her room, eying the stranger. "Who is that?" she asked, not getting a good feeling about him. She shifted on her feet slightly, ready to move behind Shale. She hadn't heard what Aaron had said about the temporary guard.

[Volan]

Shale opened his mouth and begun to explain but Aaron interrupted rudely. "I'm going to be your new Temporary Bodyguard because the agency wishes to speak to Shale personally to address the status of you, Yuuki," Aaron said, looking around the place. "Just last week, one of the witnesses in this building got there phone call tapped so there asking people to come in personally," he explained.

Shale was a bit doubtful until he heard about the tapped phone calls which made sense. "Alright, I'll leave right away. I just need to get something," Shale said, seeing the clock said it was only two hours before dawn. He motioned for Yuuki to follow him and he walked into the master bedroom, closing the door behind them.

[Macabre!]

"Temporary guard?" Yuuki asked softly, as her and Shale were alone in the master bedroom. "I don't want him to be my guard!" she exclaimed, her arm wrapping around Shale's. There was no way she was letting that guy guard her. He looked scary, and untrustworthy.

[Volan]

"Well, this is a change," Shale said as he lightly hugged Yuuki back, running a hand through her hair. "I've got to go so I want you to take this," he said softly, taking out a cellphone from his pocket. "There's two numbers in there. One is to the counsel and the other is to a close friend of mine. Call both of them if your in trouble, but call the friend first. The counsel doesn't like me much," he added quietly. "I'll be back in two hours, if I'm not then I'm either in trouble or I just couldn't make it back in time," he said softly, looking into Yuuki's eyes.

Aaron whistled a little tune as he walked around the kitchen. "Nice place," he said softly, looking around in the kitchen. "Now let's start to check things off the list," he said softly to himself.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki's eyes brimmed with tears, slowly taking the cellphone into her hands. "Your really worrying me Shale.." she said softly, looking back into Shale's eyes. Isn't there a way I can call you?" she asked.

[Volan]

"Well, if I'm the one in trouble, I don't think I would have a phone," Shale said, taking Yuuki by the shoulders and looking into her eyes. "Don't worry, I was going to give you that phone anyway. Just make sure no one takes it from you," he said, putting his hand on the door nob. "Now, you don't have to come out of the room at all. You can just say your feeling sick and you probably won't have to see Aaron at all," he said, opening the door to see Aaron in the kitchen.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki bit her lip, nodding. "Be careful." she said softly, tempted to place a soft kiss to Shale's cheek, but decided it wasn't a good idea for his career. She peered out behind the door, glaring at Aaron. She was going to do the same thing she did when she met Shale. Get on his nerves.

[Volan]

"Hey, make your self home," Shale called out to Aaron as he got his keys off the counter and made his way to the door. "I'll be back soon. There should be beer in the fridge," he suggested before closing the door. "Something feels horribly off about this," he muttered as he got into the elevator.

Aaron smiled and waved Shale goodbye. Once the door was closed, started opening up all the drawers in the kitchen as well as the cabinets. He stopped twice, once at the drawer with the collection of magazines, and next at the silver weapons and knives. "Check one," he said aloud, completely ignoring Yuuki.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki watched Shale leave, wiping her eyes as he left. She leaned against her doorway, watching Aaron with cold eyes. "Your a little nosy aren't you?" she asked, hands on her hips. "If you want to know where something's at I can always tell you." she exclaimed. Though she probably wouldn't tell him anyways. Yeah, she didn't like this guy.

[Volan]

Aaron laughed lightly and bent down behind the counter, opening cabinets quickly. He stopped at the mini fridge and smile, unplugging it and placing it right onto the counter, the glass bottles inside clanging together. "Mini fridge! Now, to get it open," he said, getting some clay like material out of his pocket. He placed it on the lock on the fridge, put a small small fuse it in connected to a long wire. He hopped the counter, trailing the wire and stood next to Yuuki. "You know what's in that?" he asked, putting the wire into a hand held thing with a button.

Shale sighed and watched the numbers click down from 23 all the way to 1 and then to B. The elevator doors opened up and he stepped out, opening his car right in front of him and starting it up.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki glared at Aaron, ready to smack the man across his face. "Shale told me it was dirty magazines and some beer. I'm under age so he said we had to keep that away from me." she exclaimed. "But either way, it's none of your business."

[Volan]

"Well, the dirty magazines are next to the drawer with all the silver. I'm quite sure there's more than beer in here," Aaron said, pressing the button on the hand held. A moment later, the plastic explosive blew the lock lose and it slowly swung open. Aaron moved quickly to the fridge and smiled as he pulled out two bottles of blood. "Want some of that vampires 'beer'?" he asked, taking out his cell phone. He opened it up and it picked up on the first ring. "Get him before he leaves," he said to the hit team in the parking garage. "Your lucky we got him before he did anything to you," Aaron added. (( You can play them if you want ^.^ ))

Shale sighed and started to pull out slowly, not feeling in the mood to drive fast.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki jumped back at the sudden small explosion. She shot a glare at Aaron, shocked by his words. "What?! Who are you on the phone with?! You better leave Shale alone!" she exclaimed, darting into her room to grab the cellphone, and the switchblade. First thing she did was call Shale's friend to let him or her know what just happened. "Hurry and pick up the phone!" she murmured.


((Iunno what I should do though.. for the guys. ><))

[Volan]

Shale stopped the car and looked up at the roof. "What was that?" he asked himself, thinking he heard a dull sound from above.

Aaron looked confused for a second and then called out to Yuuki. "What are you talking about? Did he do something to you?" he asked, walking slowly to Yuuki's room. The cell phone kept ringing until it went to voice mail. "I fall asleep two hours before dawn now-a-days. Leave a message and I'll get back to you as soon as the big fireball in the sky disappears," a womans voice said on the phone and then it beeped.

(( ? Just, like, capture him and torture him for info - the ususal xP ))

"NO!" Yuuki snapped, shutting the phone and quickly putting it in her nightstand. "Just shut up and leave me alone! Just leave Shale be okay?!" she yelled, turning back to look at Aaron.

[Volan]

(( Good at what? 0.o ))

"Whoaaa," Aaron said in a calm voice. "Calm down a bit," he said, walking towards her slowly with his hands up. "He was a vampire. Your safe now," he said, a bit confused at why she was defending Shale so much.

[Macabre!]

((Torture and stuff. ;_;..))


"Safe?!" Yuuki shook her head, pulling out the shiny switch blade. "Stay away." she growled, putting the knife in front of her defensively. Of course she was going to defend Shale. She promised too. Since he was supposed to be protecting her.

[Volan]

(( That's what your not good at? Oh, just like, wrap him up in chains of something, simple ))

"Are you saying you were safer with that blood sucker?" Aaron asked incredulously. "He could have killed you with a smack," he said, looking at the switchblade. "Now come on, put the knife down and we can talk this out."

[Macabre!]

((Ah.. alright. Making me do this.. ><))

Two men, completely masked were just made as a simple distraction for Shale. And it worked apparently. Three other masked men, who secretly worked for the Government grabbed Shale from behind. Immediately he had been blindfolded around his eyes and mouth, handcuffed by both wrists and ankles. And more was to come. "We're not dumb at all, vampire," One chuckled, tossing him into the back of a black van. "Try anything, which I'm sure you can't and you'll be a dead one." he threatened, getting inside the van with two others to watch Shale. While the other two sat in the front. This was much easier than planned.

"Yes." Yuuki gripped the switchblade tightly in her hands. "He was kind to me.. And I'm not putting down this switch blade, not until you tell me who you really are!" she yelled, thrusting the switchblade at him slightly.

[Volan]

Shale didn't notice it when someone opened his car door because he was deep in thought. He grunted when he was thrown into a car and tried to speak but it was muffled by the cloth. He tried to say,"I knew this was a dam setup," but only it came out muffled by the gag.

Aaron back away a bit when Yuuki stabbed at him. "I have a feeling you won't put that knife down until I'm gone," he said instead of telling her what she really wanted. "Did he do something to you? Your don't look like your surprised that he was a vampire," he asked.

[Macabre!]

((True. lol. Now where should the guys be headed?))


Yuuki shook her head, "It's called hiding emotion. I am surprised. But right now, I want you to get the hell out." she exclaimed rather calmly, shifting on her feet a bit.

[Volan]

(( I donno, I make the things up as I go along ^.^ ))

"Alright alright, calm down. I'm heading out of the room," Aaron said as he started backing up towards the door. "I'm going to be staying here though, so remember I'm still here."

[Macabre!]

((Augh. alright. ><))

The men soon pulled up to a large building, hidden in the forest. Not many things were near by. Just trees, and a lake in the distance. After nearly dragging Shale inside the building, he was placed in a large jail cell. "We'll come back later." they exclaimed, pulling their masks off before walking away.

"I want you out of here!" Yuuki exclaimed. "Your not even a real guard I bet! That's probably a fake I.D! You just came here to get rid of Shale!" she blinked back her tears, wondering where he was. "Tell me where he is.."

[Volan]

Shale grunted yet again as he was thrown into the cell, still blindfolded and gagged. He managed to spit the gag out and sigh, turning over onto his stomach. "Well, this sucks," he said softly.

Aaron couldn't help but smile, but he quickly took it off his face and replaced it with a serious expression. "I have no idea," he said, truthfully as he backed up. "And of course I'm a new guard! Why wouldn't I?" he asked, almost out of the room now.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki didn't believe this guy at all. "Liar!" she cried, running at him. "You know what happened to Shale! Tell me where he is! Or this knife will be lodged into your neck!" she threatened.

[Volan]

Aaron quickly slammed the door the the bedroom and held it shut. "That's all that I know! I really don't know where the government takes vampires for storage," he yelled through the door, wondering if she would come out to attack him.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki dropped the knife, ignoring how it had sliced her foot slightly. "The gov-.. oh no.." she whispered, her eyes wide. "Their going to kill him!" she whimpered, taking back the cellphone and calling his friend once more. The woman had to pick up! She didn't want to call the counsel if they hardly cared for Shale.

[Volan]

With a sigh, Aaron left the door and walked over to the kitchen. "Well, this should be fun," he said softly, taking a blood bottle out and popping the lid. "The government is so funny," he said and took a sip of the blood, happily licking his fangs. "Counsel's best plan yet," he said softly to himself.

The phone ringed a few more times and this time, a woman in a rather sleepy and grumpy voice picked up. "Oh, come on! Who is this? Shale! You know I hate it when you wake me up in my sleep," the woman said in a angry, sleepy, grumpy voice.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki sighed in relief at the voice, "It's not Shale. I'm Yuuki.. he's.. he was my witness protection guard. To cut the story short, I need your help. I'm stuck in a highly secure building with a fake guard. Shale has been caught by the government and I really need your help!" Yuuki began to cry, falling onto her knees.

[Volan]

The woman groaned and looked at her clock, seeing it was one hour before dawn. "Is it the luxuary suit?" she asked on the phone, as she got up off the bed. "And what's the name of the guy?"

Aaron sighed and heard Yuuki's crying. "God. Did she fall in love with the guy or something?" he wondered to himself, walking over to the dark room door.

[Macabre!]

"Yes, I think his name is Aaron." Yuuki answered, holding the phone tightly. "Are you going to get me out of here?" she asked. "I really want to save Shale!" she exclaimed not to loud for Aaron to hear her conversation. If he heard.. there's no telling what kind of trouble she would be in.

[Volan]

The woman sighed and began to think. "I'll help if I get some blood in return," she said. "I never do anything for free but if you promise some blood in it for me, I'll head over there and kill that counsel servant."

"Dam, must have freaked," Aaron said, plowing through the mess in front of the door. He whistled when he saw a little light come from the wall. "Punched right through the wall," he said softly.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki frowned, "Blood?" she asked softly. "My blood?" Great. Another one.. Lovely. Surprisingly she only wanted Shale to have her blood. So maybe this woman was talking about another persons blood. Hopefully.

[Volan]

"Well . . . it depends if your blood has a good vintage," the woman said, clearly awake now and getting changed. "Now, I'll be over there in oh, say five minutes."

(( Sorry, helping a friend with computer troubles >.< ))

[Macabre!]

Yuuki smiled faintly, getting a good feeling this woman would be surprised at her blood's "vintage". Definitely surprised. "Alright. See you then.." with that, she hung up the phone. Standing up, Yuuki decided to change into something more decent. Jeans, and a black tank-top. She kept her hair down, as usual and headed out of the room. Wincing slightly, she remembered the cut on her foot. "Augh.. I guess you wouldn't know where the band-aids are?" she asked Aaron, limping through the living room.

[Volan]

"No idea," Aaron said, walking into the living room. He left the blood bottle in Shale's room as he walked into the living room. "Why do you need ban-" he was starting to ask when he noticed the cut right away. "Oh," he said softly, staring at the cut on her foot. He couldn't make his face turn away from the blood coming out of his foot. "My . . . that smells good," he said softly, forgetting what he was supposed to be doing.

The woman (Ella, because I can't stand callign her 'the woman' xP ) sighed as she got into her sports car. She drove right out of her apartment building parking garage and straight for the apartment Yuuki was at. She drove fast and kept glancing at the clock as she drove. "I'm going to kill Shale for getting his ass captured," she said to herself.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki's eyes widened, "Uh.. you can smell my blood?" she asked, hurrying into the kitchen. "A-are you a vampire too?" she slightly looked fearful, she held a napkin to her bleeding food while standing next to the drawer with the silver in it. Please don't tell me he's a vampire, she thought.

[Volan]

"Hey," Aaron said, completely out of his mind slightly, just as Shale had been. "Where you going?" he asked as he walked towards the kitchen slowly.

Ella pulled up to the apartment with no door in the front and went to the ally on the side of it. "I hope I don't fall again," she said softly as she climbed the fire escape of the building next to it.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki looked towards Aaron, "I'm in the kitchen?" she answered slowly, like Aaron was some kind of idiot. "What does it look like?" she murmured, dabbing the napkin over the cut. "Augh.. why won't it stop bleeding?" she whined, and it stung so bad. Was it infected? Or did it get too deep? She'd probably need stitches for being so careless.

[Volan]

Aaron walked into the kitchen and licked his lips, staring at Yuuki's foot. "Mind if I have a taste?" he asked, walking slowly towards Yuuki with his mouth open, fangs poking out.

"I hate this part," Ella said as she stared at the balcony one story above where she was. She would have to jump from the roof to the balcony and she only had 5 minutes before the big fireball in the sky came up. "Here we go!" With a running start, she jumped into the air and slammed against the side of the building. One hand gripped the edge of the balcony and she pulled herself up easily. Once on the balcony, she brushed herself off. "Piece of cake," she said softly.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki's eyes grew wide, "W-what!?" she shrieked, dropping the napkin. "No!" she panicked, looking back and forth. She turned, quickly looking for the drawer with silver in it. "Which one?!" she hissed, becoming so frantic that she could hardly see straight. She was not allowing herself to be bitten.. not by somebody else.

[Volan]

"Looking for something?" Aaron asked, tilting his head to one side. He took a quick few steps and stood behind Yuuki, breathing on her neck softly. "I never knew what a good snack you could be," he said softly into her ear from behind.

Ella took out a key and opened the glass doors to the living room. She closed them behind her and moved through the blackout blinds and looked around. "Where the hell are you?" she yelled as she started to walk towards the bedroom.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki stiffened, her hands clenching the side of the counter. "Go away.." she mumbled, trying to turn her body around to smack Aaron. Her legs were locked in place, making her angry and panicked. Hearing a woman yell, she quickly felt thankful. "In here! Please hurry!" she cried out, squeezing her eyes shut. "Please!"

[Volan]

Ella grumbled and as she was walking towards the kitchen, she kicked a leg of a chair. She took the makeshift wooden stake and walked into the kitchen, a big smile spread across her face. "Now what seems to be the officer problem?" she asked, laughing at her little joke.

Aaron didn't seem to notice Ella until she spoke. He turned his head and raised an eyebrow. "You want to share?" he asked in a completely innocent voice. He had completely lost his mind to the smell of the blood.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki frowned, looking towards the woman. "Please say no! M-my blood is only for Shale.." she exclaimed, her voice growing soft. She slowly was able to turn her body around to look at Aaron and the woman. She hoped this woman could hold back her hunger a lot better than Aaron.

[Volan]

Ella seemed a bit disappointed. "Hey! Judging by what he's smelling, you have a good 'vintage'. I guess he sorta lost his mind when he smelled the blood on your foot. You should be glad I haven't been breathing since I got in here," she said, running quickly and slamming into Aaron with her shoulder, knocking him back farther.

"What was that for?" Aaron asked, slowing walking back to Yuuki.

"I like barbecue," Ella said and threw the makeshift stake at Aaron's heart. Almost immediately, a blue flame burst from the center of the stake and spread across his whole body. The ceiling was starting to turn black with soot as Aaron screamed so loud it hurt. "So, what's the situation?" Ella asked Yuuki as Aaron burned, running out of the kitchen in a panic.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki watched Aaron burn with wide eyes, she put a hand over her eyes, witnessing yet another death. "The Government took Shale.. just.. witnessed a second death." she mumbled, ignoring her foot that was now in a puddle of blood. "And I need stitches." she added, not even having to look down at her food.

[Volan]

"Death? That guys got another few minutes of burning before he gets to say hello to the devil," Ella said in a high pitched happy voice. "Well, I know where Shale is but . . . there's a bit of a problem with my payment here," she said, looking down at Yuuki's foot. "A bottle of your blood should do great for killing that guy, but rescuing Shale from a Government fortress? Ehh . . I don't know," she said and hopped onto the counter, swinging her legs gingerly.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki slowly dropped onto her knees, clutching her bleeding foot. "Why don't you just cut my foot off?! You can have the whole damn thing!" she hissed in pain, applying pressure onto the apparently deep gash. "Either way if I don't get this healed soon I could die of blood loss.. maybe a vein was cut? Or would I already be dead?" she asked, glancing up at Ella. Momentarily, Shale had slipped from her mind, right now she was worried about her own life at the moment.

[Volan]

Ella sighed as Aaron ran through the kitchen again, hands turning to ash as he ran and fell to the floor. His feet had burned away and he couldn't move, just yell in pain.

"I'll stitch it up," Ella said finally, getting a box from a cabinet in the kitchen. "But only because I'm expecting you to think of some kind of payment big enough for me to save Shale's ass." She opened up the box and it revealed a load of first aid items including sterilized needles and string.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki's face had grown rather pale, her head rested against the wood cabinets weakly. "And I guess you really want some of my blood?" she asked, fists slightly clenching against the wood floor.

[Volan]

"I used to be a mercenary and they always say,'Once a Merc, always a Merc.'," Ella said as she cleaned the blood off of Yuuki's foot. She looked at the needle with the painkillers and then tossed it away, threading the needle and string. "As long as I get paid, I'll do a job," she said, sticking the needle into the cut on Yuuki's foot. "Ask Shale. Well, you can't really ask him that. Gave up over half of his memory for something, forgot what it was," she said as she kept working on Yuuki's foot.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki stared off into space, although she was listening to what Ella was saying. "Oh," she murmured, looking at her foot. It didn't hurt, not at all. She couldn't feel it at all. It was like her foot wasn't even there. "Ask Shale what?"

((I needa get to bed in a few minutes.. ><))

[Volan]

Since the knife went through the foot, as soon as Ella was done with the top of the stitching, she started stitching the bottom of the foot. "He doesn't know but he gave up half his memory to me for help in this big investigation. Ahh, yea. Investigation into the vampire counsel. I found out that they were just using vampire to screw around with the humans, but he completely forgot," Ella finished up the stitching and started to wrap the foot up with a large cloth bandage.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki blinked, not realizing how bad her foot wound was. "It went through my foot?" she asked, her nose scrunched slightly in disgust. Shaking her head slightly, she rubbed her forehead. "Does Shale have a bad past?" she looked towards Ella, curious for more answers.

[Volan]

Ello looked at Yuuki and nodded, finishing up the wrapping. "He was a mercenary vampire like me before he offered me his memory. I don't think . . . since you care about him . . . that you want to know more of his past. Expecailly my part in it," she said softly, staring at Yuuki'f foot while her mind drifter elseware. She shook her head and sighed, looking at Yuuki one more time.

"My life really does suck," she muttered and walked towards the broken mini fridge shaking her head. She took a bottle of blood and emptyed it, cleaning it out nicly. "I have one question for you," she said, getting a marker from a drawer and writing something on the clear bottle. She turned the bottle around and it said "Yuuki's blood" on it. "If you answer it a certian way, I'm off to haul Shale's ass over here. If you answer it another way, I'm leaving at Dusk with a few of these bottles filled and will never see you again. Maybe die of blood loss."

[Macabre!]

Yuuki looked down, closing her eyes. "What's the question?" she asked, afraid that she may accidentally answer it wrong. She didn't want to die of blood loss.. not by this stranger.

[Volan]

"What would you do if I didn't get Shale out of that Government holding cell?" Ella asked quietly. She was shaking her head as she emptied another glass bottle and wrote the same thing as the other, waiting for Yuuki's answer.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki gulped silently, fists clenching against her legs. "I'd be really upset.. he's supposed to be my body guard.. I trust him, and I need him here!" she exclaimed. "Why are you asking me this?!"

[Volan]

"Two things. That was a lie, and your not answering my question," Ella said, continuing to clean out more blood bottles. "I'm asking, What will you DO if I didn't help him? Not what you would feel." Ella sighed and raised a glass to the light, checking to see how clean it was.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki scowled, "I can't do anything. As much as I'd want to kick your ass if you didn't save him, I couldn't. Your stronger than me and I'm already injured." she snapped, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. "Can't we just hurry and save Shale?"

[Volan]

"Well, I can't leave till sun set. No way am I ending up like Mr. Toasty over there," Ella said, gesturing with the empty bottle to the pile of ash that used to be Aaron. "So, if I don't go, you'll sit there and sulk till he's dead? Is that what your telling me?" In a lazy movement, Ella grabbed about 5 empty glass bottles and started juggling them as she looked at Yuuki.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki shook her head, standing up. She gripped the counter, having a difficult time standing with her injured foot. "I'll find him myse-" she stopped, realizing this place was so secure and she didn't know the codes or anything to unlock the elevator and what not. "I'll find a way!" she yelled, gripping her head in anger and worry. She hoped Shale was alright.


((Iunno but.. I want Shale to be injured a bit when they find him but I don't know what the government guys should do to him. ><))

[Volan]

Just as lazily as Ella started juggling the bottles, she lined them up on the counter and picked out the middle one. "Fill this one up and I'll leave at dusk," Ella said softly, handing the bottle to Yuuki. "It should be full by the time I get back with Shale," she muttered, turning away and towards the dark room. "And don't wake me up!" she yelled, slamming the door as she walked into the room.

(( Hmmm . . . maybe . . . Holy water ^.^ That's should go for a load of burns, right? ^.^ ))

[Macabre!]

Yuuki slowly took the bottle in her hands, quickly looking back at Ella. "Fill it with what?!" she asked, flinching as the door slammed. "My blood? I've already lost so much.." she sighed, slowly falling back onto the floor. I'm sorry Shale.. she thought, curling into a ball with the bottle in her hands.

((Yeah. How will they give it to him? Throw it?))

[Volan]

Ella sighed and walked into the room, falling onto the mattress. "Shale's a bastard," she muttered softly, hugging the pillow on the bed. "Wonder how good that girls blood will taste," she muttered to herself, not falling to sleep one bit.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki pulled a knife from a drawer, only guessing that Ella wanted her blood. "Maybe I'll die.." she sighed, hating that she sounded so emo. But now that Shale wasn't here everything felt.. wrong. She glanced at the bottle, then the knife. The bottle was a bit wide and that was going to need a lot of blood. "Damn." she groaned, slicing the knife across the palm of her hand. Quickly, she tilted her hand over the top of the bottle so blood quickly began to pour in.

A guard walked towards Shale's prison cell, a smirk plastered on his chapped lips. "Hope your thirsty." he joked, pointing the gun at Shale. It wasn't a real gun, it just happened to be a water gun full of Holy water. Just to torture Shale until he finally slowly died of starvation. Not saying another word, he began to shoot the holy water at Shale through the bars. "Does it burn?!!" he cackled.

[Volan]

Ella sighed and flipped her head over, seeing the whole in the wall for the first time. "Ha, he has the power of a vampire over 1,000 years old and he doesn't even realize it," she said and laughed, running her fingers over the hole in the concrete wall. "It would be so funny if Yuuki died filling that bottle," she said to herself softly, holding a little giggle.

Shale had fallen asleep in the cell on the ground and didn't hear the guard approach. When the first squirt of holy water hit his bare chest, he woke up in a yell of pain. The water was leaving a black mark, sending up steam. He felt more squirts of holy water and started shivering in pain. Crawling away from the bars was the best idea, but because his feet and hands were bound, it was taking a long time . . .

[Macabre!]

Watching the bottle slowly fill up with her crimson blood, Yuuki felt even more weak. Sicker by the second. She wanted to vomit, then again she didn't. "I am going to die.." she exclaimed, putting the cap back on the bottle now that it was full. She reached for the roll of paper towels, and carelessly wrapped a whole bunch around her bleeding hand. Too weak to move, she laid back on the ground, almost immediately blacking out.

The guard cackled once more, greatly amused by the vampire in pain. After he was satisfied, he left, twirling the empty water gun around his finger. "Hope you die." he mumbled, snickering.

[Volan]

Ella finally got to sleep, biting on the pillow she was hugging like it was a piece of steak. She was dreaming of her past and how easily feeding became, how good the money was in her line of business. Then she saw Shale's face and immediately woke up, not wanting to continue the dream. She looked around for the clock but couldn't find it. (( skip To Dawn? ))

Shale sighed as the last bit of water hit him. He was wheezing and he only wished to pull himself up and curl into a ball.

[Macabre!]

((Yeah.))

It had been a few hours, Yuuki's eyes were half way opened though she was still not awake. Subconsciously she murmured Shale's name, her eyes slowly opening a bit wider. "Shale.." she slowly sat up, everything began to spin. Like she was on some sort of drug. "What time is it?" she asked herself, finding that her body was stiff and weak for sleeping on the tile floor.

[Volan]

Ella finally found the clock under the mattress on the floor and it read 7:21. "Dam, I have to go now," Ella said softly, getting up off the mattress. She walked out and stretched, going into the kitchen and finding Yuuki still on the floor. "Well, looks like you passed out and had a good nap," she said, picking up the still slightly warm bottle of Yuuki's blood to look at it.

[Macabre!]

Yuuki slowly looked up at Ella, hardly having the strength to glare. "Passing out isn't important. I need to see Shale, before I do die from blood loss." she exclaimed. She wanted to go with Ella to help save Shale but she couldn't even walk.
