William-villain-
Kristina-Adel’s love-
Adel-heir to the throne-taken
So…William is the villain. When the heir to the throne, Adellaine, betrays him by poisoning his wine, he strikes a deal with the devil and returns from Hell. To get back at her, he intends to go after her love, a girl named Kristina, and make her pay for Adel’s disobedience. That’s a short overview…heres some detail.
It was a clear, beautiful night and most of the inhabitants of the forest were sleeping. But deep inside, hidden just around the tall green tree and behind the waterfall there lay a secret world of people and magic unknown to the mortal world. It was in this world that a mysterious young woman for her life, stumbling over tree roots and tripping through plant life that wrapped itself about her ankles as if holding her back.
"Going somewhere Adellaine?" Cried an angry voice from the treetops. Suddenly, a dark figure leapt down right in front of her. The girl whose name was Adellaine had to stop very suddenly so as not to run right into the dark figure. She had to stop so abruptly in fact that he fell over to the ground.
"You have a debt to pay Adel." Said the dark man who stood above her.
Adel panted and tried to stand up "B... but how?" she said "How did you come back? I thought you..."
The dark man kicked Adellaine hard in the ribs. She cried out in pain and fell back down. The man answered with a cold chuckle "...You thought I was dead? You thought that a little poison in my wine could kill the most powerful being in Nievea? You were blind!"
Adel clutched at her chest, her face twisted with pain as she answered. "...You had to be stopped... y... I..."
"Now let me explain something to you, girl," said the darker man menacingly as he pulled her up by his collar and threw her against the trunk of one of the trees.
"I have been to hell and back again because of you and now you will pay." he said it in a harsh whisper that silenced even the chirping of the crickets.
"P... please, William, I have... people who need me...and a kingdom to take care of..."
The man whose name was William back handed her to the ground. Adel just knelt there, caughing.
"You are right. To kill you would be more of a punishment to your people than to you." he said thoughtfully.
She didn't like the tone in William's voice. She wiped blood from the corner of her lip and waited for William to give his deadly sentence.
"Your…friend, Kristina, you love her don’t you?"
Adellaine growled and stood up "If you touch her I swear I'll make sure you stay in hell this time." She threatened.
William smiled a vicious grin and ignored her threats and just continued speaking "You have for what, years now?"
"Get to the point William!"
He laughed. “Well, she will be the one to pay for your mistakes.
Warren was taken aback. His heart skipped a beat. "Don’t." She said warningly.
William dark grin spread even farther "Future queen of Nievia, Adellaine Bellano, I swear to you now. You have taken everything from me and sent me to hell but I have returned for your reckoning."
Adel drew her sword and swung it reclessly at William, but the blade only repelled off of some unseen force surrounding him. A shock of pain wound its way from her wrist all the way up to her shoulder. She dropped the blade and fell back.
William laughed and continued speaking, his eyes grew a dark color. Adel knew what he was doing. He was speaking a curse, which bound truth to his words.
"NO!" she screamed but her voice was drowned out by his voice, which now echoed through the surrounding silvery moonlit trees.
Adel tried to run, but the plant life had entangled itself in the young woman’s ankles and she lost her balance.
With that, a bright golden light burst from his eyes and grew so bright that Adellaine had to cover hers for fear that she would go blind.
When she opened her eyes again, there was nobody but the chirping crickets and hunting owls. But that voice still seemed to echo through the trees "She will pay for your mistakes."
She stood up, searching the area and the shadows for where her enemy could possibly have gone but she saw no one. She took two steps backward and then turned and ran, making for her kingdom.
Just fill it out…if it looks good, you’re in.

Adel was tearing throught the forest, but after running for so long, she was only stumbling blindly.
When she finally tripped out of the forest and into the path, she found herself right in front of a galloping mare. She fell backward, scrambling away. The horse and rider came to a halt, and the horse reared up.
Adel got to her feet as best she could, but only fell back again. She reached out to the man riding the horse. "Please, I need to get back to the Kingdom..." She muttered in a rasped voice.
The man dismounted, and pulled her up, and in doing so recognized her face.
"Yes milady, what has happened?" But the weary girl was already out.
The horseman hoisted her up and started for the kingdom.

Kristina peered out from the castle balcony. More like a cage, she thought. A wall between us... I hope she returns soon.
She continued twidling her fingers, gently weaving a sliver of a pale aquamarine into a sphere of a soothing purple glass, mounted on a jade pedastal. A gift for Adel. She had been working on this for some amount of months now, and it was nearing its completion. Just a few more fine adjustments...it was beautiful. A thing of art.
But it would never speak a whisper, compared to the love she screamed out with...
She looked out over the balcony again and stopped working. That horse was moving at incredible speed...Adel didn't have a horse...did she?

Adellaine awoke in the palace nurse's room. Her vision was not focused. Her thoughts came in short fragments.
She could hear her father's voice. He spoke with a phisician.
"She sprained a wrist, and she's beat up, but other than that, she should be fine."
"What she was doing out there is beyond me." Her father commented. The rider that had brought her in stood in the corner.
"She seemed like she was runnin from somebody, I dunno sir." He said.
Adel blinked, trying to sit up. Her vision cleared.
"Kristina-" The nurse pushed her back down.
Panic seized her. They didn't know. She could be dead already. She couldn't explain, they wouldn't stop her. She shot forward, pushing the nurse aside, and made for the door. She grabbed her knife off the table on the way out.
An odd sight, it must have been, for the villagers to see their princess tearing throught the streets in the market franticly.
She didn't stop to breathe until she was at Kristina's door. She pounded with force und ungency, the terror of what could've happened to her building in her chest.

Pounding on the door nearly made Kristina knock the sphere off its pedastal. She briefly examined it, saw no damage, and went to answer the door. Maybe, just maybe, she could see Adel...
The knowledge that Adel could be at the door made her move all that much faster. She openned the door and, sure enough, saw Adel. Under normal circumstances, she would have flung her arms around her neck and held her close, but something was wrong...her face was red from fatigue, her eyes filled with...what? Anger? Fear? And on top of that, she looked as though she'd been hit by a carriage.
For the first time since she'd met Adel, the sight of her lover frightened her. "Adel, what happened? You look terrible..."

She inhaled slowly as she saw Kristina there. The muscles around her eyes, arms and chest relaxed.
Of course she was alright. William wouldn't just do it fast like that...He'd try to take her first, or-she stopped herself.
She leaned heavily against the doorframe for a moment or two, before pushing her inside the house.
She closed the door behind them and drew the curtains after peering outside nervously. She finally turned to Kristina.
"Have you let anyone in the house?" She asked.

Kristina shook her head, watching Adel catiously. "No, you're the first person all morning..." She grabbed her hands. "Adel, you're scaring me. What happened to you?" She'd never seen her like this before...she looked like someone was trying to find her, and had been chasing her for weeks on end. "You look terrible...were you attacked?"

She shook her head. "No, well- yes, but, it- it's no important, it's done." She said.
"It's just that, there's someone who, might, be trying to hurt you, and I jus, wanted to make sure you were ok." She said.
Kristina deserved to know more, but a mixture of fear and shame stopped her from speaking anymore.
"Look, point is, it's just not safe, but I swear you'll be fine, I won't let anything happen.

She exhaled heavily and rested her face in her hands and rubbed her eyes with her palms.
"I did something...a while ago. Something bad. But, I did what I had to do, because I- thought it was right. And yes, the person found me, and they did this..."
She met Kristina's gaze for a moment and looked away. "But this person, threatened to hurt, you." She admitted. "And if I let that happen, I don't know what I would do. I can't, and it's my fault, but I won't let it..."
She ran a hand through her hair and looked back at the floor.

"Yeah..." She said, holding her close for a moment. It was like she was holding onto something that she would lose.
As long as she could feel her, right now, it was safe, but Adel knew it wouldn't stay that way. She couldn't bring herself to let go. She kissed her softly.
"I'm not going to let him hurt you, at all." She promised.

Kristina layed her head on her shoulder and closed her eyes. "I know...you'd never let me get hurt, even when we were kids." Her thoughts went back to those days. Other than their bodies and Adel's kingdom, what had changed? There wasn't much they did now that they hadn't done back then. "Always took good care of me..."

She laughed quietly as her mind wandered back to when they had been young. "I remember." She would be the one to take the throne soon, when all she really wanted was to take Krinstina somewhere off in the country and live. But she supposed that wouldn't happen.
She had never been able to tell anyone about her and Kristina, because, well, that kind of thing just didn't go over too well here.
And if it was the princess in love with a girl, oh, she couldn't imagine. But someday, she liked to think that she could take Kristina as a partner to the throne.
"I love you." She breathed into her neck.

"I love you, too," she said softly. She embraced her a while longer. "Oh, that's right," she said, reluctantly breaking away. "I made you something. It's taken a long time to finish it." She took Adel by the hand into the other room and showed her the glassy raindrop-shaped crystal.

She blinked once, and focused back on what was important. "Alright, now, you're still not safe, so I'm getting you protection. "I'm going to go get James, and have him send as many men as he can spare here. You just stay put." She said, placeing her hands on Kristina's shoulders, and sitting her down.

Adel practically ran down the streets until she reached the palace. She pushed past the guards, breathless, through the gates, and stopped to collect herself. She ran to her brother's quarters, entering without knocking.
He was sitting at a desk, and stood when she entered.
"Adellaine, where have you been, the whole kingdom thinks youve gone mad, father said you took off, and- you're bleeding-"
"James...I have a friend thats in trouble, from-" She couldn't explain, what, that a dead man was comeing for Kristina, her girlfriend?

Kristina finally couldn't take it and went up to the balcony to look. The sunset sparked memories, pleasant ones from their childhood...
She pushed away from these thoughts. She started thinking about other things--what Adel could have done to evoke the wrath of someone. She could be a real b!tch when she wanted to, but...she wouldn't have done anything that bad...would she? No, not her Adel. Someone was clearly overreacting. Right?
She decided she's ask her. It was her life that was in danger, and she had every right to know. Adel would never lie to her.
...right? The idea was ludicrous, but somehow...maybe...
No. Not Adel. Never Adel.

He sighed. "Adel, you can't guilt yourself anymore for that. You did what you had to, he- was getting out of control-"
"No, James, just listen- I know this is hard to believe, but he's alive. And he's comeing for the girl, Kristina." She said.
He narrowed his eyes.
"I don't think so, Adel."
"I know you don't, but-"
"It doesn't make sense. First off, you killed him, but let's just say he is alive. Why would he go after some aquaintance of yours, and not family, if he wanted to hurt you?" He asked.
"Because it's just what he did, please, James?"
"Look, you were outside lost for too long-"
"James, please, please trust me?" She begged, more desperate.
He rubbed his forehead.
"For the record, I don't think you're with it, and I don't think you know what you're talking about."
He signaled to the guard outside. "Gabe, send six men to wherever she tells you, you can acompany them." He said. The guard nodded.
"But if you really believe this girl is in trouble," He sat back down.
