"Caught in a dream I stumble upon Who I was, Who I may be, and Who I'm not. My actions change the course of my river, shattering the image once projected. Breaking through the surface of What I Knew, and What I am learning. Gazing in and back down my path, I Realize What I May Never Know and How Far I am from my Start and End."
Zoie looked up from her paper, watching the clock in the lunch room tick as the minutes passed. She waited patiently to be dismissed. she sat alone, seemingly a leper to the other students. Tick, Tock. The mintues were endless until finally the bell rang. She walked the whispering halls; being the new girl wasn't easy. That, plus the fact that she didn't know her mother nor father, seperated her from others. The markings along her left arm and the right side of her face pulsed with different energies. The vibrant purple flowers that twisted on her skin remained buds, the other kids' designs began to shift and flower into the shape they would remain in until the end of time.
Zoie worried hers would never bloom, that she would never find her true place in the world.
*gotta go*
