X-MEN Revolution::The Tragedy Ends with Us

There is no longer peace between the humans and the mutants. Humans and Mutants are now at war. The year 2060 started the Mutant scum riots, then came acting out of mutants, and then came the war. Now in 2067 the war is still going, towns and citys are destroyed, but still livable. The weapons they use against the mutants now are a lot stronger, strong enough to sometimes kill. Mutants have resorted to hiding their identites, they are slowly becoming less active in their attempts to gain tranquility again, they just want to be accepted, some even look for a cure but end up captured and tortured. But a group of traveling young mutants will try and change things.

Setting: June 4th, California, Tempurature 97 degees or higher depending on the day.

Its up to us...

Make 2 characters, you can make more if you would like to at least one boy and one girl. Preferably not twins, we dont want them to know each other.
Only make mutants, if you would like to make a human character ask me.

What's your story: When the war broke out his family was attacked by some murading mutants, one killed his father and tried to break down the door that his family was hiding in. Without thinking he reached out grabbed the man with his mind and through him accross the hallway and into a wall. He brought the guy back to him and threw him again with enough force to break the wall. His family joined a group of humans and mutants who wanted to live peacefully. They are currently at the first underground peace station. Marcus wanted to bring peace so he traveled out to the world to do his best.

Noah wiped his forehead with the back of his hand. Though it was 97 degrees out he still wore his black hoodie. He refused to take it off. He sat on a park bench watching as a few kids played, while their mother guarded them intensly. They didn't know if it was safe but the wouldn't deny their children a life of happiness.

Mekana leaned on the railing of the steps where she was staying. A few other kids were there with her but they usually stayed inside. She so badly wanted to end their misery and use her power to make it cooler. Instead she sucked on the ice chips she had in a cup. She found it impossible to sleep there at night which she usually would make the room in which she stayed icy so she could sleep at night.

Power: By having direct eye contact with a person she is able to copy some part of their DNA for a while, be it hair color, a portion of their mutant ability, or their mannerisms. She has also been able to sometimes get memory as well. This power, however,is a hard for her and she tries not to use it too much because it can become very unstable. Unfortunately, this ability also has been known to leave her 'donors' unconcious or even in a coma as it leaves her a bit confused and in pain as well. How long this copied DNA lasts is unknown and always varies.
Weakness: Her ability is unstable and causes her some pain when used, athough she's trying to get over it. She is easy overtaken by physical attacks.

Gender: Male
Power: He can produce these sort of puppet strings made of energy that wrap around his body. He can use these powerful threads of energy to control people or objects around him. When he focuses on concentrating the energy, threads are also pretty sharp and can cut through most things, including flesh. If the strings are strained and he is being overtaken, the threads will cut into his skin and thus weaken him severely. Can also put kinetic energy into objects to make them explode. He sometimes does this to the bullets in his gun.
Weakness: Mental attacks and the strings of energy being strained, as stated above.
Weapon?: A pistol,which he is extremely good with.

What's your story: His immigrant parents were always extremely against the mutant cause and when Dietter discovered he was one, he had no choice but to sneak away into the night.

Ismene flipped her hair over to one side of her shoulders and readjusted her sunglasses. It was hot. Really hot. She sat on a patio high up on the third floor of a building that seriously looked like it would crumble at any minute. With her back against the railing, she looked down at a few kids playing in the streets, their mother keeping a sharp eye on them, looking out for any threats; any mutants.

Dietter was laying in a cheap excuse for a bed, staring up at the ceiling of the room he had currently taken occupancy in. The fan above him gave off a low hum as it did it's best trying to keep the room cool, with little to no success at doing so. He yawned and aimed his gun at the ceiling wearily, pretending to take aim at imaginary enemies. He knew that although things were peaceful at the moment where he was, things never stayed that way for long.

Bart kicked a vending machine in anger. "Man...I can go for a cold soda.." He moaned as he leaned against the machine. He looked down at the ground for some change. Four shiny quarters stood in his path. "Aha! Nice." He picked up the money and inserted the coins into the machine. The chances of finding the exact amount of change he need was slim for someone other then Bart and that was only due to his power of probability.

Cruz squeezed her eyes shut and tighten her fingers around the wooden cruxifix she was holding. Her head was bowed in prayer as she sat in one of the pews of the church. Why had God cursed her with such a form? Had she angered him? Why couldn't she be human like everyone else? She missed her family. Tears streaked down Cruz's dirty face. She could feel her canines elongate, making it difficult to keep her mouth close properly. She needed to go or she'll change. Cruz tucked the cross away under her clothing and hurried out the church.

Mekana smelled smoke. "What the-" She turned to see the apartment she was in was fine but the one next to it wasn't. "Crap..." She looked around for someone. "Someoe please! Come help! There's a fire!" She ran up the stairs and to the room. The fire was spreading to the room across from it. Their were kids playing in that room. She put her arm over her mouth and pushed herself into the door, slamming it open.

The children held each other satnding in the corner. A few crying, the other just had terrified looks on their faces. Mekana ran to them and broke the glass from the window. "Someone help! Please!"

Bart groaned loudly when he saw the burning building. It was hot enough already. He released another groan when he heard the screams. "Darnit!" He charged forward towards the apartment. "Hi-yah!" He kicked through the door only for his leg to get stuck by the hole me made. "Damn!" Thats when Bart noticed the window was broken and crawled through.

"Sombody! Anyone?!" Mekana began to think. "Okay kids lets go to the window. Breath." The children were all scared, but they did as they were told.

Issy noticed smoke billowing out in the horizon, a few streets over. The smoke cast weird shapes into the sun drenched golden sky and as the dry breeze blew, the smell burned her nose. She heard the paniced screams of people and yet nothing motivated her to much of anything. Maybe it was the bitterness of how she had been treated these last few years of her life or the fear she had of people in general, but nothing provoked her to do anything but hope that deep down, things would be alright.

Dietter had fallen into a deep sleep but awoke with smoke around him, filling his room and suffocating him. The fire itself wasn't in his room, but the one below him.
"Damn it" he growled as he grabbed the few items and belongings he had and bolted for the door. Running toward the stairs, he heard the screams of children and the hair on his neck stood on end. His moral conscience began to eat away at him and he decided to act. Racing down the hall of the floor below him, and fighting through the smoke he could do nothing but hear the voices of the people.

"Hello!?" Bart tugged at his shirt. The heat was sweltering. He stomped through the apartment until he found children and a girl who appeared to be his age. "This way!" He called and at the same time using his power to dodge a falling plank.

"Jesus!" Dietter coughed as he made his way down the hall and into the room. The building was FAR too unstable for him to blow a whole through the wall, so with that, he through out his hands. The room containing the children and two mutants gave off a dim glow for a split second. Then, thin, almost impossible to see, strings littered the ceiling, like a spiderweb of energy. The threads kept the walls and ceiling from collapsing. Dietter stood fast in the room, concentrating as the ceiling and walls began to give way.
"Get em' out! Hurry!" He yelled.

Mekana pushd them to follow him. She knew she could put the fire out but she was scared of being discovered. As they all exited the buildnig she looked around inspecting the building. She grabbed her bag from the living room and pushed on out the door and down the stair with the chidren. "Thank you so much. She said to the two guys. "Is anyone hurt?"

Marcus accidently wondered into a young female, begging her pardon. As he did he saw smoke in the distance, he took off running for it, as he arrived he noticed his wallet was missing, uncaring he ran toward a wall of the flaming building, pushing with all his might the wall shatered in front of him, he quickly noticed the occupents of the room, "Come on everyone out" he yelled as he pushed the flames of the room away from the occupents. As they ran out he saw some other mutants were rescuing other people from the building.

Joan minding her buisness, was nearly knocked off her feet by a strange teen, noticing that he was about her own age and in a hurry, she stole his wallet in revenge for the brutal knock down. He ran off with a apology in the direction of some smoke. Unwise considering where there was smoke there was fire. BUt she might as well check it out, running up a fire escape and jumping accross buildings she saw some mutants exiting trhe building, including the one she had taken the wallet from, normally she wouldnt of cared but that guy was helping strangers, a quality she couldnt help but admire, she dropped down using a series of sheds and poles to reach the bottom. She resolved to return his wallet. Hopefully without him noticing.

Derek's family is pretty much across the state. He said he was going to another high school to benifit his music but ditched with the money he saved up.

What's your story:

Derek was frightened when he discovered his powers. He hid them for three years, escaping home once he found the chance. His parents are very, very racist against Mutants and had already almost once killed his neighbor because of that reason. Afraid of death, Derek ran to safety.

She doesnt know, but her adoptive family threw her out.

What's your story:

Kareen prefears 'Rain' above all else. She hates the family that gave her the name 'Kareen' only to throw her on the streets once they found out who she was. Truely. She hid her powers for a good while but her adoptive mother caught her. Kareen was told to pack her bags and they threw her out, slaming the door in her face. Now, she doesnt know where to go or what to do.

Marcus noticed the girl he had knocked down earlier, she was walking toward him with his wallet. "Hi did you drop this" she asked him. "I guess I did" she returned his wallet, "Im joan" she looked at him questioningly. "Marcus" he answered her unspoken question.
Joan:"Should we help find a doctor?"
Marcus: "Yea we should"
Joan: "How about you get on that well i check the people for injuries"
MArcus:"sounds good"

Joan walked quickly to the people, quickly taking stalk of burns, sprains and broken bones.

Cruz watched the heroes come out of the burning building. The transformation had stopped abruptly after she came on to the burning building. As she watched, she noticed a few didn't even seem like they were hurt at all. 'Could they be mutants?' She thought to herself.

Bart himself was wasn't hurt at all. His clothing was a bit singed but other then that, there wasn't a mark on him. "I'm fine." He said to the girl before lifting his hand up into a wave. "Seeya."

"Thank you so much for helping, both of you. Now we just need a new place to live." Mekana chucked but it wasn't full of happiness like she normally was, it was kind of half asked.

Mekana looked around. "I really should do something to thank you, so when I find a place I can make you a nice hot meal. As long as it has a stove."

Noah walked around the part, he felt left out and somewhat annoyed.

Kareen sat on a roof, not far from the newly burnt down building. She couldnt help but wonder about it. It was a little too. . . planned. Could the Mother be planing something? Karen layed back, not minding if fate bought people like her around. Then, maybe then, she wouldnt feel so alone.

Derek sat back and watched, his blue hair and eyes turning strange colors in the fire. He was half tempted to freeze the whole thing just to make the heat stop. But, then again, he probably couldnt even make rain fall in the current lack of moisture in this place.

Dietter saw that things had settled down and decided to leave. As he slung his bag over his shoulder, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a cigerette, putting it in his mouth. With a quick movement, he light it and took a deep drag as he walked away from the building and the group of people gathering outside it. He waved his hand carelessly without looking back, off to find a new place to stay.

Issy found herself on the roof of a building, watching the fire burn a few blocks away, almost hypnotized by it, yet to afraid of being found out to do anything.

Mekana looked at where Dietter was heading. "Hey, where you going?" She shouted. The kids weren't her responsiblity but she'd feel bad if she just left them, she couldn't stay there forever though, she held onto her bag and run to catch up to him. "Where are you headed?"

Noah walked over to the burning building. "So what happened here?" He asked. "Someone forget to blow out a candle or something? Maybe its just the heat, this building does look pretty old."
